With Open Wings [Rachel, Kyu]
Tue Feb 11, 2014 2:27 pm
Paperwork seemed to have stacked just a bit less that day. Either she had worked through her responsibilities just a little faster or the idea of Kyu coming to get her for some of his crazy plans had been enough of a deterrent. Either way, she free, at least for the most part of what remained of the day. Though there were still a few experiments that needed a couple looks, neither was so important as to require her immediate attention. As much as she disliked her Vice Captain nagging about how she should relax and have some fun, in a way, he was right. Crystal had taken her responsibilities to heart, and though her work and her diligence preceded her, she was doing a bit too much, even for what was expected of a Captain. The few hours that remained of daylight would, even if not quite sufficiently, atone for the lack of ease in her daily schedule.
Looking down at her side she would notice Ted walking side by side with her. The familiar prototype was still in the observation process to make sure it worked well. She was to ensure its efficiency and ability to follow commands, and with routine tests, begin the project of creating more specialized units for a variety of purposes for the 12th division, and other divisions interested. Really, though she barely had time to relax save with Kyu every now and then, she had to admit she had made some astounding progress for the time she had been a Captain. Though only a few items had been successfully made, there were a lot more in the works, and each promised to be quite impressive. With a smile she would keep her eyes perched on Ted who would walk a little faster from time to time to keep up with her pace. She had merely given him the request to stay by her side for as long as she said so so that he would be monitored. For the most part, Ted was a success. Looking over her shoulder, it felt almost foreign to walk without Kyu behind her, his eyes wondering what crazy ideas went on in her head. It was best not to think about him however. It wasn't the first time where eithe saying his name or thinking about him too much caused him to appear, and she didn't think she was quite ready to deal with him at the moment. At least not yet.
Wearing her typical self-made garments, the layers of clothing draped over body giving a sense of elegance and comfort. Nestled in between her clothes, the very small sealed Zanpakutō was always kept hidden from sight. Fixing her gloves, she smiled as she continued walking. It was difficult to decipher what was on her mind as there was likely no one that could easily break into her head and dissect her thoughts. In essence, there was a lot... her experiments, her duty, Kyu, and even a set of thoughts which she recurrently tried to force out of her head for they were best not thought of to avoid possible complications and meaningless inner conflict.

Rachel sighed softly, looking at the clock next to the bed she was laying on. She knew she had only a short while until classes started at school, but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go. However, she knew that James, the man who had adopted her and taken her in as his daughter, would want her to do well in her studies. Getting up from the bed, she tried to focus as intently as she could on karakura high as she prepared to exit the plane of dreams, but her mind decided it did not want to. Instead her mind wandered to samurai looking warriors, feudal japan, and robots. She then felt the sudden tug of herself being wrenched across the planar void, taking a deep breath as he body entered the existence known to most mortals.
As the world popped in to place around her though, she found something was very, very wrong. She was not at karakura high as she intended to end up, instead she was in a place she vaguely remembered next to a woman she definitely did not know. The worst part, it seemed that her planar travel had ended up with her left leg in the middle of what seemed to be a two foot tall walking teddy bear. To those around her though, it would appear as if the young pink haired girl had suddenly appeared out of thin air, her foot straight through the Teddy bear. Rachel yelped in shock, her reddish cat like tail poofing up madly as she noticed the thing on her leg, quickly swinging her leg in a round house kick at the air which caused the thing to go flying in to the nearest wall. The young, teenage human was hissing and spitting madly, like a scared cat would, while staring at where the teddy bear had landed. If anyone were to look at it closely, they would find something on. There was no damage to the area that had been surrounding her foot, at least from her foot entering the thing. Instead, it was like whatever had been in that space before never existed, that this was always how it had been, despite the fact that the woman would know that, at one point, it had been whole. Glaring at whatever she had somehow had the misfortune of coming in to existence at the same place as it, electric sparks crackled around her while she grumbled angrily, vocally showing her feelings on what was happening.
“Dammit, dammit, dammit! This is why I hate planar travel so god damn much! One tiny thought that’s not supposed to be there and bam, I’m off in to another whole dimension entirely! Ugh… this is so unfair… I know I’m gonna miss at least two classes today, James is gonna be pissed.”

...
The expression on her face; it was priceless. He knew how she acted; she was never unnerved... unless there was a question on his presence. In reality, he was relaxing inside of the shadows nearby to her, on a plane that she could not sense, a different plane of existence that was not quite the one that she was used to. It was how he often appeared from seemingly nowhere; even his spiritual existence and his connection to the networks of the world were cut, leaving him as merely a fact. He was inside of the shadows near her; that was all there was to his existence, a fact that could observe what was happening around it.
"Teddy, Stand up."
Was all that emerged from his lips as a figure strode towards the pair, his eyes hidden by the hair that hovered around his eyes. The reality was, he had been in synchronization with his Sueki nature to hide within the shadows; and now, he was simply dealing with the shadiness of his reappearance, as he became completely online once again. As the dress casual attired male stopped before them, a gust of wind catching his tie and blowing it about slightly as he looked at them behind his bangs, a cigarette in his mouth letting out smoke as he looked down at the teddy bear before him.
Without warning, something happened within the bear. It simply stepped forwards, and its parts walked together, falling into one another as the space that had become missing began to be filled, a strange phenomenon occurring as the space that had been empty began to be filled with Ted once more, restoring the bear in its entirety as it came fully back online, its eyes shining as Kyu looked directly at the girl now, the bloodlust coursing through his body most likely terrifying the young child. It was honed bloodlust, seeking to get her away from the things that he cared about, and the things that Crystal cared about; she had already attempted the assault on their beloved creation; he would allow no further trespass.
"Encountered a little over a year ago... Abducted by the male known as Doctor Kabuto Hebi, Krishna Kurup, or Kabuto Yakushi. Adopted finally by one James; should be in school at this very moment and yet here. Likely cause; based on the damage to Ted and the suddenness of the appearance, improper usage of reality warping." He let out, the entire analysis flowing from his lips as fact after fact about the pink haired girl before them left his lips.
"You are within the Seireitei without permission, please place your back to the wall." Was all he said, one hand holding that sheathed blade that was always at his side, making it rather obvious in addition to the prepared aggression what would happen if she should even attempt to do something that would harm the ones he cared about. "And Crystal... calm yourself." He stated, almost certain that Crystal would have on some level flipped out over the situation; either about what happened to Ted, how it had recovered, Kyu's appearance or the way he handled his job towards the young girl. [color#333399]"I don't mean you harm. But that's protocol." He stated to the girl, his bloodlust dropping. It simply was no longer there, as long as she did what he requested and backed away from them. He didn't know what was going to happen now... but he could only guess.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Re: With Open Wings [Rachel, Kyu]

Still smiling as she had earlier to Ted, there wasn't any particular reason the day would go astray and become more complicated than it ought to be. Regardless, in the back of her head she had that eerie, and slightly annoying feeling she got when one of the members of her squad slacked. It troubled her, and it annoyed her. For the most part, Crystal was a highly cognizant individual and extremely aware of her surroundings. Even more so than some of the Captains she had known. However, her position as Head of The Research Department called for certain qualities which included a careful and watching eye over most things. Immediately noticing the abnormal occurrence by her side, she made no real attempt to stop the chain of events, even if she might have come to regret it later. Instead making use of her natural observation she would witness the arrival of some child, or a midget perhaps, as it appeared not far from her, one of her legs through Ted. Crystal was used to stressful situations and for the most part held her composure. Whether she was upset in the inside or not was a different and very stupid question, but at least, in the exterior, she merely batted an eyelash. Just a second after the near-midget girl would kick Ted away with a certain degree of strength enough to cause substantial damage to the unit. Without thinking or even trying hard to do so, a set of three holographic screens appeared just to the right of Crystal, almost as in reflex. She made no real movements to attack other than glance back at the teddy bear, mauled as it was, left on the floor unable to move. Whatever it was that had happened had triggered something in Crystal. She knew already, whatever action that were to befall she would be in the right. The creation of Ted had been an arduous process and the 12th Squad had been given permission to test it and from it begin production of specialized units for the other divisions to best fit their individual needs. Thus, the reckless actions of the pink-haired midget affected not only Crystal but the whole Gotei 13. In essence, what she could do to the midget was practically limitless, and she would hardly be punished for it. Heck, at this point in time, even if she was, she truly did not care.
From afar and in the exterior, Crystal was a model Captain that was admired by others, specially her elders. She had even received praised and recognition from the Captain Commander, Tsubasa himself. However, though it was unbeknownst to all, albeit not a real problematic fact, Crystal had a crazier wilder side more fitting to an angry psychopath, Unlike the playful and fun personality she always chose to repress due to her duties save for when Kyu did his best to help her get out of her inner misery, her psychotic persona was one she barely knew herself. She just never had a reason to resort to it. However, when she truly became upset, regardless the strength of her opponent, she was one not to mess with. Nearly speechless for a second or two she looked at Ted before looking back at the midget-sized girl with a glare that, had it been a weapon, it would have sliced her throat and dropped her head and the bad imitation of Crystal's hair. As she turned back once again, the energy she sensed could only belong to one person. Emerging from the shadows, Kyu had made himself possible. Trying to connect her eyes with his, she tried to search out his sight. Had he looked into her eyes, one would think he would have been afraid, or at the very least quite troubled. If she was some sort of animal, there would be steam coming out of her nostrils and her sight would likely turn people into stone. Though she lacked the snakes on her head. The bad hairstyle seemed to have instead been bested upon the midget behind her. She had a very vague idea. It was possible that Kyu could restore Ted. Though she had seen him perform the process on himself countless of times she hadn't quite seen him attempt to do so in one of her creations.
Following his words, Ted would get up as his small body had been reconstructed completely to the way it had once been before, and showing no signs it had ever been harmed in the first place. As soon as it was stable, the teddy had walked over to Crystal as it stood just beside her left leg. Everything seemed to be working properly. The exterior was undamaged, and the inner mechanics seemed to be without flaw as well, and specially the order coding mechanism seemed to be in top form as Ted had resumed its current mission. It was safe to say, Ted was back to speed as if the incident had never happened. But alas, it had, and though Ted was alright, Crystal sure wasn't. "I don't care who you are" she smoke the midget-sized lady as soon as Kyu had been done speaking, "And if you didn't hear him, hands against the wall!" As soon as her words came to fruition, the ring finger and the index finger on her right hand did random motions atop one of the holographic boards, and as her left hand prepared to push and shove the midget hard against a wall, just to the side of her right hands, a pair of rudimentary but extremely tough looking handcuffs created from her own special material had been configured as the edges has been encircled with extra tough reiatsu from her own energy pool. Resistance was futile. Should the lady do as she was told she would merely get shoved, though with quite a degree of strength, face first against the wall. Regardless of the results Kyu had acquired from his ability, the fact was that the ignorant lady before them had damaged and nearly destroyed vital property from the 12th Division that was of extreme importance to the Gotei 13 as whole. Regardless who she was or who she knew, she was on her hands now, and the situation would only get worse for her if she did not cooperate with them.
"He may not mean you harm," she said speaking to the girl with a firm and assertive tone, displease clearly embedded in her words. "However as for me... give me trouble you little shrimp and I'll freaking break you." She was not joking. Crystal could not stand anyone messing with experiments of her, specially some random midget with a head that looked like a worn out pink duster. Not only was Ted vital to the Gotei 13, but it was also the first creation that Kyu and Crystal had made together. It had a symbolic meaning besides the potential benefits that would come from the advances in the familiar project. If the lady did not resist and followed their commands, worst case scenario, she would be escorted to the 12th Squad area where she would be forced to help them run some experiments in some of their latest gadgets for a considerable amount of time. As well as a written penalty being sent to the higher ups as well as whoever took care of her. However, if she decided to be difficult and cause more trouble, which judging by her looks wouldn't be too rare, Crystal was fully capable and ready of dealing with her to whatever extent and doing anything she had to do to teach her a lesson. Kyu knew her very well. He knew she had her fun side but that it was a tough and a bad idea getting Crystal mad. The sight was rare enough but still there were buttons that were better left untouched. He could speak and guide her as he wished, but if the lady persisted on her foolish endeavors and he got in her way and sided with the midget instead of her, she would show no satisfaction and no hesitation to have a finite change of ideas in his disposition and her view of him in her mind.

Rachel’s head snapped towards the source of a voice telling the bear to stand up. A man stood there, and Rachel instinctively raised her hands defensively in order to be able to defend herself if he decided to attack her. She didn’t bother watching as the teddy bear fixed itself, instead she kept her eyes on the man, trying to figure out what was going on and where she was as of right now. She wasn’t sure where in the material plane she had ended up, but she was pretty sure that this wasn’t in the same dimension as her school was. She could feel the bloodlust pouring out from the man, but it did not seem to bother her at all. She smirked, in fact it felt like nothing compared to spending time with her sister. Given that Inverse was the one who wielded the nightmare of death, being around her exposed her to the fear that created that monstrosity. As such, she had built up a resistance to this fear, causing the man’s bloodlust to feel like nothing more than a tickle. Still, she did realize that this man might be dangerous to her, and her cat like ears perked up, making sure to keep track of everything that was going on. However, her eyes widened in surprise and slight fear as he started to talk about her past, spilling forth things that had happened, and even giving a cause for her actions. It was only partially right to be honest, but it still unnerved her that someone could find out that much. Her body rippled softly, and amulet appearing around her neck with a green stone in the center. This particular amulet was projecting a force field around her in order to protect herself should someone decide to attack her. She definitely was worried that a fight would break out here, and she didn’t want to end up getting killed. He was telling her to place her back to the wall, saying it was only procedure, but her eyes showed her great distrust for what was being said. One word did register in her mind, the name ‘seireitei’ that the man called this place.
That was when the lady started talking, and then attempted to push Rachel in to the wall. Her hand would only hit the force field though, Rachel’s body suddenly vanishing with a trail of electricity, leading her to be sitting on top of the wall she would have been smashed in to. The amulet crumbled, its power used up as it dissipated in to nothingness and returned to its own reality. Of course, her hands were now against the wall, sitting at its edge as her feet dangled below, her eyes glaring suspiciously at Crystal before turning towards Kyu, her hand rippling and the part of Ted that had been removed by her entrance then sat in her hand.
“Do you want this or not? Took me a while to figure out where the hell it had gone to on the other side so that I could bring it back, I am truly sorry for this. As for your assertion that what I did was reality warping, I believe you are wrong there, though it may have appeared that way to you. Traveling from one plane of existence to another sure is a pain, especially when your body is the portal connecting them. One wrong thought, and as you saw here, you end up in very bad situations.”
Turning to glare at Crystal again, she spoke again, this time her voice deadly as her body rippled and what appeared to be a grenade appeared in her free hand.
“If you really wanted me to cooperate, why did you use so much force before? How can I possibly trust you now, for all I know you’ll just trying to use me as some sort of test subject for some messed up research. I’m not coming down or cooperating until I have your sworn oath you won’t bring harm upon me. If you try to force me to come down, I have no issues with turning this whole area is to scorched ground and ashes.”
She raised the hand holding the grenade in it so the two of them could clearly see it before tossing the portion of Ted down to Kyu before talking again.
“This isn’t some ordinary grenade, so don’t be idiots about this. This little thing right now contains more explosive force then if you, the male, took all your energy and used it for an explosion. I am Rachel Dare, member of the yayjuu’s gremlin and Portal to the plane of dreams. Shall we try to avoid causing any issues between our organizations?”

"…"
Kyu merely looked between the two of them, his inner mind sighing. He looked at every part of the situation, running hundreds of scenarios through his brain. As the two of them were wrapped in the fields of emotion and terror, rage and love for those things they cared about; whether it was others or themselves. His eyes followed both Crystal as she pushed into the woman and widened slightly as he saw the trail of electrons as she moved, leading to the top of the pillar. "Well that makes things much more simple…" He uttered, before looking up at her again. As she held up the piece of Ted, that part of him, the part that was filled to the brim still with his consciousness, his emotions, told him to go; to release his Shikai, his Bankai if he had to, loose the Geist suit on her, bleed himself to near death in an attempt to absolutely annihilate her…
But the rage was not what came to the surface of his mind. That part that was controlled by the massive super-computer that was his brain was moving at hundreds of miles per second, speed wise, as he beheld Crystal, taking a step forwards as he gripped onto one of her arms as Rachel revealed it, touching her wrist, gently, but firmly as well. "Crystal." He said simply, holding onto her wrist as his eyes looked at her, those eyes that showed honesty, but also something else, as from his wrist an image began to shine. To Crystal, the image was herself; she could see the rage in her own expression, recorded mere moments ago as her rage had begun to break against Rachel, the expression on her face obvious. "Ted is fine; this is an ignorant child. She doesn't understand. Crystal, it's hurting me to see you act like this." He told her plainly, honestly, the emotion in his voice not synthetic, not fake. It was true; seeing her in this much distress, this much calamity was almost physically hurting the male; and the only way that he could see to make he realize what was happening was that it was pointless. "Leave her to me. I'll always carry out your will, Captain, and we both know there is no need for you to have to lower yourself to deal with something like… that." He explained to her at a moderate pace. At last, the hologram faded, as he looked back at Rachel, standing in front of Crystal, his strange appearance striking as he looked at the female on the wall.
"...So you are sorry, then." He said calmly, his eyes slightly narrowing as he beheld her, his eyes looking through her. It was true; she was not lying, and her body seemed to truly be morose. He passed that piece of information to Crystal through their network, showing that the girl did regret her actions… and then proceeded to make Kyu's internal processes slow.
"BECAUSE YOU BASICALLY, JUST KILLED, HER CHILD, BEFORE HER EYES." He explained to the woman in front of him, his voice raising a single notch, the intensity suddenly increasing by several times. "And now you glare at a mother who is absolutely ballistic; tell me, child, what else would you expect, knowing that, having caused that much damage?" He asked her seriously, before he received back the analysis from his mind on that strange grenade.
"I am Bampaia Kyu Ketsuki, Vice-Captain of the Twelfth Division. Transfer Arms."
Those words left his mouth as he looked directly at Rachel, as something incredibly strange began to happen. Out of his arms, nanobots began to move and swarm. Massive black bulbs appeared around his shoulders, large blades appearing at their back and going on either side of Crystal, his serious experssion remaining unchanged as the hands that were so large they could wrap around a telephone pole formed, before he looked directly at her. "No, it does not have more energy than my own." He explained, the density of those arms so incredibly powerful that if Crystal at his back wasn't herself quite able she would likely have been pushed away from the presence they gave off. This was only the second time that she had seen them before, and the first up close and personal like this.
Those arms each could fire blasts on the level alone of that grenade that she was holding; that was the simple truth, in addition to the other benefits they granted the male. "Force in this place will only obtain you a fight; and NOT ONE PERSON here will benefit from that. PUT THE ARMS DOWN." He told her, the cigarette falling out of his mouth as he looked at the woman up on the wall; he wasn't going to assault her, but if she continued to threaten them like this and would not listen to reason, then it was likely that he would have no choice. His main directive was to take care of Crystal.
"And as for our organizations, we shall, as soon as you lower your threats and stop antagonizing the people who you have insulted once already, together sort out this mess."

Should Crystal have worried? Perhaps. Instead, there was a large smile on Crystal's face. It had portions of anger though it could have been easily described as a sheer reflection of an ominous and sinister look. There was a clear and insidious agenda being prepared, and should the twerp continued acting as stupid as she had, the results would speak for themselves. Pushing with a certain degree of force, she witnessed the girl disappear to resurface above the wall. There was nothing truly special. She was the Captain of the 12th division and possessed a level of intellect that was nearly unmatched save for Captain Commander Tsubasa, and even he had commented on her analytically skills and her prowess making strategies and confusing the enemy. A random foolish child with a head like a pink duster and obnoxiously looking ears was surely not going to get the upper hand. Her attempts, annoying as they were, were laughable, at best. As soon as the push had the hand traveled through where her body had been, the palm of her hand was met with a very soft and spongy white polymer. Having reconfigured the cuffs into the soft pads before her, she had not quite intended to let the weird-looking midget get hurt aside from perhaps a certain degree of hyper-awareness from the events. However, daring to take such bold steps even after doing what she had done. The messy ears-and-duster looking child had managed to push some of her last buttons. And if she was upset and on the edge before, the last set of events had drawn her even farther into the fray. Like an individual witnessing a medical operation and looking at a large amount of blood, Crystal could not help but laugh. She didn't laugh out of the humor of the situation however. In a way, her anger was causing her to laugh. She planned to strangle the child and drown her on her blood...or something like that; she'd just have to make sure to enjoy every bit of it and save some of her organs. Even if her exterior showed someone as stupid as her actions made her out to be, her inner organs should still be of marginal benefit to her experiments. She might actually be of some use.
With Kyu's hand on her wrist, she merely shook her hand to get him off of her. She wasn't upset at him. She truly wasn't. But although she was most often calm and well spirited, she was one not to make upset. Looking momentarily back to him, she had a clear look of anger. In a way, she wanted to say sorry to him for doing that, but in her current situation, a look of raw anger, though not directed at him, was the best he would get...at least the current time. Breathing heavily she locked eyes while he spoke. Though her mind was racing with thoughts on how best to enjoy silencing the life out of the child and harvesting her organs, she was nevertheless listening to his words. Breathing heavily still there was the slightest sense that she had calmed down some but the change had been so subtle one could have just easily said there had been no clear and positive change. Though she saw his point she didn't quite agree with everything. Ted's current status mattered little. It was not the exterior or Ted himself she cared for, but instead the idea of Ted and what he represented. And she could care less if the girl knew or not what she was doing. The damage she made was great and it was only befitting she paid for what she did. Hurting the girl was just a recent thought, for if she had merely gone with their requests she would have been unharmed. Even the tough push from Crystal was going to be softened by her material to assure the child's protection...but now, no more. Instead of responding to him she merely narrowed her eyes as her lips scrounged up in a peculiar yet anger-filled expression. Though the expression might have been foreign to everyone else, Kyu was just about the only person who could read her expression because of the connection they had. Though no real words had been spoken, the expression was one which portrayed acknowledgement for his words but which also did not fully agree with all of his comments. There was no need for words as it should have been clear to him which points she agreed with and which she just didn't give a dam about. Making her hands into tight fists, she closed her eyes for a couple seconds trying to ignore the sheer stupidity of the little girl above. Heck, the blasts she blabbed so much about were truly nothing. It would take nothing more than retrieving one of her latest creations to render the attack useless and what's more, hit her with it. Her arsenal allowed her to deal with twerps like her who needed a strong harsh beating to understand their antics did not fly with other people, and their spoiled nature would get them killed. Heck, if Kyu had not been there, the dumb pink duster would have long been dead in a pool of her dam blood. Nevertheless, thinking a couple of times of her status, it was not right for a Captain to get involved with scum like that. Exhaling once she walked a couple steps as the tip of he left index finger grazed past Kyu's shoulder before his partial transformation took place.
It was not the first time she witnessed it. It was imposing by its own regard. Perhaps because of her current mood and her largely oblivious behavior to most of the situation and the safety of the girl, she did not care what happened to girl, so long as it went their way. Speaking in Kyu's direction she said in a very firm and serious tone of voice unlike any way she had spoken to him before, "Kyu." There was no hate or anger directed at him. Her tone of voice merely reflected someone who spoke from the heart and with utmost seriousness, and definitely not be tested or taken lightly. "I care very little for her. Fact stands. She broke into Seireitei, and whether or not she has permission to be here, she destroyed vital 12th Squad equipment necessary for the Gotei 13. I don't need apologies. I need actions. She has but a few seconds to get her act straight, drop her weapons, and come with us to be assigned a task as a punishment. Otherwise, she will face the consequences." Fixing her glove, she placed a strand of her hair behind her ear. Retrieving her very small sealed Zanpakutō she merely inspected as if checking how sharp it was. letting the tip and the sharp edge of the Zanpakutō graze gently underneath her left glove she spoke, "You have but a short amount of time to take care of the situation Kyu. If you can't do it, I'll step in."

Rachel sat on top of the wall, looking down at the two of them as the male started talking again. For the most part she ignored what he said, not caring much for his words. However, it was when he mentioned that the teddy bear thing was like a child to the woman that her mouth twisted painfully. Thunder clouds formed above her as her energy shot outwards in a sudden burst, electricity heavy in the air. When she spoke, her voice was soft, but one could easily tell she was trying her hardest to not show the pent up emotions within her.
“Shut up, idiot. How should I know what a mother who lost her child acts like? It’s not like I had a mother of my own to compare that woman’s actions to, asshole.”
She took deep breaths, only half listening to what the man said as the storm that had formed due to her small outburst slowly dissipated. When he had finally finished talking, she sighed and slipped her finger through the ring of the pin on the grenade, looking straight in to the eyes of Kyu.
“As you wish, I will drop it, idiot.”
She let go of the grenade over the side of the wall, jerking her hand upwards as she did to pull the pin loose, letting out her internal rush of emotions with that movement. Looking down, her other hand raised, rippling as a gun appeared in it. However, it was at this point that Rachel’s idiotic actions would be thwarted as another girl materialized below the grenade. Popping on to existence an inch of two below the deadly weapon, the physical duplicate of Rachel reached upwards, hand closing around the explosive. As her hand touched it, its form and properties changed, grenade quickly becoming cloth. She then flicked upwards with a movement that looked suspiciously like soul step that some humans used, but there was something odd about it. It was unlike any energy that was known upon this realm, something entirely foreign to this existence. A scythe formed in her palm, the weapon radiating with an insanely strong sense of malice and deadly intentions. Just as Rachel formed the gun in her palm and started to raise it, the second girl slid her scythe right in front of her neck, glaring down at her physical double. When she spoke, her words were firm but caring, her eyes demanding at the other.
“Stop it Rachel, enough is enough.”
Rachel’s eyes swept upwards towards the newcomer, full of confusion and caring. Her gun arm lowered, the weapon returning from where it came with a ripple of her hand before she talked softly to the newcomer.
“What are you doing here sis? I thought you were going to be busy today.”
Sighing, the newer girl grabbed the cloth that the grenade had become, quickly wrapping it around her wrist and the wrist of her sister, before it turned in to a set of handcuffs that were padded to make them comfortable. The scythe disappearing, she hopped down, Rachel pulled along.
“What am I doing here? I thought that was obvious, stopping you from doing something idiotic. When will you learn to stop being so spontaneous and actually think things through?”
Looking at Kyu and Crystal, the newcomer, who was commonly referred to as Inverse, tilted her head to the side curiously, waiting to see what they would do now.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Of course it is. Are YOU going to question beholder's artistic sense?"

"If I had to say, it would be because you were born with breasts and a womb."
He told her in reply, his gaze just as calculating as before. However, it was true at the least that Rachel was female; and theoretically also had the ability to produce a child of her own. "…" He didn't point out the other contradiction; that the area that she would have related to if she HAD had a mother would be the position of the child; the teddy bear who had just been damaged.
Then, hi s eyes widened. He was glad that Crystal allowed for him to do his job; and was also aware that this situation needed to be handled more delicately than Crystal's proposal of making the girl work. The problem was that this was a cross organizational problem; if anything, they would have her own organization punish her for it. They couldn't risk strained relationships with one of their biggest allies over something like this, if they could help it.
However, when she dropped the grenade, Kyu's mouth clamped shut. The arm on his right side flashed upwards as a cannon on its base became revealed, pointing directly at the grenade, and Rachel. He prepared to launch it, knowing that most likely the impact would be so rapid that she would be destroyed as well; but the angle he was going at would prevent the shot from destroying anything else… and then another girl grabbed the grenade, gripping it as it vanished. Threat removed… Reaction: The Cannon Arm is already firing. Redirecting course. He thought calmly, though the irrational part of his mind was screaming how bad this situation was as he moved the hand upwards instead…
And an instant later, the cloud high above their heads was pierced. A massive ray of pure energy, enough that the path it left was on fire and the cloud above had been warped beyond all belief from the impact and raw force it carried, had shot out of the cannon. The level of power of this shot was unlike anything else in Kyu's entire arsenal, and as he let out a deep breath, the arm fell back down to his side, sweat coursing down his face as his body shivered. [color#333399]D@mnit… Not properly charged… Gotta… stay conscious… or Crystal'll...b e worried… The thoughts swam through his mind as he reaffirmed himself, the nanobots all over his body beginning to intake oxygen and transmit it through his lungs to keep him from having to pant or show exertion, or the consequence of what he had done. He forced himself to look up at Rachel and examine the current situation, thankful that at last the counter to the girl had appeared.
"Alright…" He breathed out, looking back at Crystal for a moment to make sure she was alright, and to make sure that she wasn't worried about him; if she was, he would do everything in his power to assuage her fears. "We're going to have to take the two of you into custody…" He stopped, before suddenly the unique arms around his shoulder broke, dispersing back into his body. S#it, s#it, S#it what now…? He wondered, as his body was forced down onto one knee, like an electrical appliance that was low on power. ……… Ah… I exerted way more power than normal… ha...now why would I do a thing like that…? He wondered to himself as his eyes closed, the male's body falling onto the ground, his mouth and eyes both wide open as if he were a puppet whose strings had just been cut.
As he did so, a massive roar could be heard. Far into the sky, dispersing in all directions, an absolutely terrific blast of pure energy occurred, yellow, orange, blues, and reds dispersing out in a massive sphere of pure destruction, just stopping at the bottom of Iramasha Island as its barrier prevented the blast going any further in that direction. The explosion was so huge that it could have leveled a good sized city; that was the amount of power that the male laying on the ground had released in an attempt to protect those things that he held dear to him.
His body required to recharge; it needed to recharge so desperately that the only part of him that was left online was that of his human/sueki/shinigami mind. Haha… Christ… I'm such an idiot… Please…. He thought, internally, at the newcomer… though there was next to no possible way that she could understand it, as they were only weak thoughts within his own mind. Even his connection to Crystal had been cut; it felt like his entire mind had gone quiet, instead of the massive tornado of activity it usually maintained. Don't let her… disturb anything else… Ah… This is… miserable… He reflected to himself as he lay there, charging. In the end, his humanity had driven him to this point; so it was the humanity, and the humanity alone, that could feel the suffering of immobility, while every nanobot across his body began to convert nearby reishi into raw energy..
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Looking on, her eyes were significantly heavier and more relaxed than earlier. Sure, she was still very upset, but she was a Captain. And above that, she was the Captain of the 12th Division, and there were expectations of her. As she continued to look at the escalating scene, aside from the spike in anger earlier, there was not many stirred emotions. The grenade posed little threat to them. Kyu had enough tools to dispose of it and turn it against her as did Crystal. The altercation was just very annoying and frustrating. When the grenade dropped, her eyes merely followed its path like she would a piece of paper in the wind. Because, though the girl might have thought otherwise, the grenade posed as much a threat to her as a simple and flimsy piece of paper.
Noticing the newcomer handle the grenade and launch at the other kid with her weapon, she merely responded with a long sight, albeit not of frustration, and batted her eyes a couple of times. The blast from Kyu had already been shot but luckily he had diverted into the distance where neither of them nor the girls would be hurt. There was little chance either of the girls would be too concerned with the blast, even if it could have indeed erased their existence. After all, the whole ordeal had begun on their account. As the girls begun to talk, Crystal started to walk quite slowly on her lieutenant's direction. Aside from their complicated feelings, there were quite a lot of reasons they got along so well. She knew him. She knew him better than he could imagine, and she was likely about the only person that did so.
Coming up behind him, she put both of her arms over his shoulders. Her hands would meet eachother as they clamped together by his chest, hers resting his back as her forehead rested on the back of his neck. For the most part, Crystal was very given to her duties and would never display her affection or more childish and wild side on the exterior. That was specifically saved for the night outs or the times drinking. However, there were always exceptions, and though she didn't like herself thinking in such way, she truly couldn't care less if anyone saw them or what they might think of them. At least during the time being. She would likely go back and regret her actions later into the night unless they resorted to drinking where it would once again play out though to a greater degree.
"...listen," she whispered behind Kyu's ear with a gentle tone the likes he rarely heard. Nevertheless, they were soft and soothing. "I don't care anymore." With a very subtle smile that was not truly happiness although it may have had some portions of it, there was what looked like subtle signs of regret and shame about what she would do next. Nestling her head into the back of his neck she would give him a short quick lick, "I'm fine. I'm all fine now." Still hanging on to him she tilted her head to the side so that part of her face was visible as she looked at the two girls, likely about to finish their own conversation. Though she was not truly paying as much attention to their words, she was still able to catch the meaning. She seemed to like more the newcomer, at least for the time being. Though she was as foreign to her as the spoiled brat, she at least seemed to radiate a more mature vibe and a more tangible sense of responsibility. She had had enough. Granted she would prefer if the girl came with them and worked to repay for what she had caused and damaged. However, if it would only drag the situation and make things more complicated she would rather opt out. There were a plethora of things she needed to do and wasting time never put her in a good mood. They would have to be aware of something though. This was a warning. If something similar were to be repeated again, she would waste no time to slice the culprit in two. For the time being, a warning, as it was merely the first offense, would suffice.
