Zeda opened his eyes in as the bright morning sun began to rise above the horizon. He found himself in the court yard of the 7th Divison HQ. He had slept like a puppy; his eager yet somewhat angry eyes began to set upon the countless holes and dints that had been embedded into the surrounding areas. He had attempted to release his anger but was yet to succeed. His black eyes glanced up at the soon, since it was only just rising he had enough time to get something to eat before his little fiasco near at the 11th Division festival.

He arose from his laid position prior to taking a deep breath and standing to his feet. The men and women of his division were already at work, arranging folders and details of misconduct around the Seireitei. It was the job of the 7th Division to discipline these individuals and determine whether or not they were fit to serve the Gotei 13, especially after countless complaints and acts of unprofessionalism. There were two individuals that really shun light upon themselves with their ever increasing misconduct, the first being Kenpachi Zaraki, the previous Captain of the 11th Squad; though his actions were almost always justifiable the second individuals were not.

The second, Wolf Lionus the appointed Captain of Squad 8 seemed to consider the Seireitei his little playground. There have been countless reports from other division complaining about this one individual and his method of gaining results; similarly the individual went against a member of an allied organization to the Gotei 13 with no blatant reason. He had never been question which brought to mind only one scenario, were they all scared of him? Did they fear his demonic vibe so much that they refrained from confronting him? He found it funny, how one man could cost the Gotei 13 so much; it seemed that Central 46 had become filled with a series of senile individuals, lacking both time and power to deal with these incidents.

Zeda had a lot on his mind thus the thought of bringing this to light never even passed his mind. He arose, wearing his standard captain Haori accompanied by his black shinigami attire and sandals. His red Zanpakutō was sheathed on his right hip while his larger Zanpakutō was now strapped on his back. He slowly withdrew his necklace from beneath his black shinigami attire prior to kissing it and placing it back to its regular location. He arose to his feet, unfortunately today was the arrival of his new Vice Captain, but he simply asked his division members to keep an eye out until Zeda had returned.

He urged one of his squad members to call him a messenger while he began to walk over to his office. His office was warm, filled with light and a stack of papers Zeda was to go through; he really didn’t feel like doing paper work yet. He was pumped; adrenaline kept circulating through his body with every moment that had passed. He was ready for this fight! Within moments a messenger appeared alongside Zeda while knelt; it seemed a custom to kneel before an individual prior to delivering a message therefore Zeda issued an inquiry to the Captain Commander Tsubasa Unabara. Zeda respected this man among others within the Gotei 13 but this man had reflected what Zeda only hoped to become.

“Captain Commander Unabara. With your permission, I would like to occupy one of the grounds that will be used by the 11th Division in today’s festival. The purpose for this is for a battle between me and the Captain of the 8th Division. Permission to release the full potential of our power would be much appreciated. Wolf seems to have something to prove, and now so do I. Thank you.” with the end of his request the messenger had vanished in order to deliver the information to the Captain Commander. It was only a matter of minutes before a response would return but Zeda had an awful feeling that their intentions hadn’t come across properly and that he sounded rather aggressive while describing the intentions of the battle. Hopefully the Captain Commander understood…

Within minutes the man had returned, once again in his knelt position and baring news. The man informed Zeda that a special perimeter would be set up for the duo to fight. More precisely, they will be granted permission to use one of the battle grounds and the barrier would be present around it in order to sustain damage and prevent escalation if they were to release bankai. As the messenger concluded he departed and Zeda stood up in order to stretch off, have a shower and head toward the grounds.

An hour or so had passed since Zeda engulfed a light breakfast, showered, got dressed in fresh but similar clothes and departed to the battle grounds. He still wielded the same weapons but he slowly paced himself through the small crowds of shinigami that were heading to spectate the small festival. Zeda looked ahead, with every step he became more and more tense, but the moment he recalled what Wolf had said about his father it felt almost as if a needle had been slashed through his stomach. It was an uncanny feeling and Zeda hated both the thought and the sense as it almost instantly transformed into anger.

He arrived within minutes of ‘it’ striking noon. His attention turned to the vast spiritual pressures he felt in the distance, he could identify one by its sheer quantity, that one being the Captain Commanders. The others around the Head Captain were without a doubt Captain Level but without time to waste, Zeda approached the designated battle ground and hell they really were not kidding about this barrier. It seemed a kido and the barrier appeared to be made of raw energy; the density of it was miraculous since it would have to take Captain level blows. Zeda began to approach it and it seemed that once you entered it was hard to exit which was ideal as Zeda aimed to keep the fight within the large event grounds.

The grounds had been intoxicated by the barriers in order to prevent and damage to the Seireitei below. He glanced under the grounds that were spanning roughly two hundred meters in area. He braced himself to enter as the crowds began to fill the stands; it seemed that this fight would get a shit lot of attention as would the others within the winter festival. He awaited a sign of his opponent Wolf, at this point in time he couldn’t feel or see him.

Artist: Hellsing Ultimate Soundtracks - Song: Makai Kyoukaisen - Word Count: 871

The ever blackening abyss, the final sufferance of the cold liquid, the befalling silence and the morning sun ... this was it. He sat upon his throne, made of the rubble from his escapade in the 6th division, located in the center of his barracks. The bustling of the gotei had fallen victim to the harsh Mistress known as sleep. The early morning air was wafting around, some med were moving all of them assisting in the set up of the great winter fist festival. However one man who's eyes remained open, simply staring into the open courtyard ahead.... this was Wolf.

The Mans hands clenched around a empty bottle, it seemed the man had not spent his night sleeping and wasting the hours away, no the man had stayed awake the whole nigh the bottle in his hand being drunk over the hours, he was waiting. The hours had past so quickly the darkness slowly turning to the morning haze and now finally after all the waiting all the time he sat on this throne staring into the endless plains .... the time had come. You see today wasn't just any other ordinary day, this was the day that he had been anticipating ever since his old "captain" left. Wolf never truly wanted this, he had surprisingly enjoyed the company of zeda to an extent but the man who ran like a coward from his responsibility was soon to fall under the gavel.

It had been noted Wolf was a man who had forever been questioned about his loyalty, the acts he had committed were unjust and wrong in the eyes of some, but to wolf every action was deserved. The test of youths power when he destroyed the 6th, his actions a warning to the woman who dared interrupt a fight. His fight against an ally... all for the fact of helping someone who he could be loyal to, a friend not another all powerful ass. Wolfs actions may have been unjust but truly to him they were earned and he would take back none of them.

Now the man would rise the dark matter encircling him, he would exit his domain a small sigh as he knew that the time had truly come. Wolf couldn't feel somewhat distraught over this mess, his mind wandered to Riku, his first real friend and a man he respected more than life itself to some extent, Eli the girl who strove to achieve her goals and seemed not to back down no matter what. Miaka the girl who managed to act like an utter ass to him but still managed to gain his respect ...... his little brother ... these thoughts would swirl in his head as he walked away, Lying upon the center of his throne sat a note with a short message he felt was what needed to be said though even he knew that this probably wouldn't be seen till after the events that were about to unfold

Going out.

Wolfs steps drew him closer to the grand stage, the motion of the people around him held the idea that today was just another day in their lives. However it was this day that things would change a day that marked the grave of something old ..... what it would be however was an entirely different matter. Today was the day of a true fight, something for one and all to enjoy a festival of fists, there were 2 individuals however that would not be enjoying this moment these 2 would be enthralled with the concept of death. One of these individuals stood within a ring awaiting the man who now came waltzing up a smoke lit, his eye staring straight at his opposite. Wolf pushed through an onlooking crowd his hands grasping the head of these innocent fuck wits who got in his way and throwing them aside, wolfs mind was set only on 1 thing ... 1 person, 1 death; Zeda Yuudeshi.

Wolfs own mind was riddled with sights of death all night, the horrors he created stuck in his mind, the pain he had felt making him numb to most other things. Al night he had awaited this moment, the key point where 2 men would stand face to face both with their true fangs bared. Their trials were about to begin and truly only one would be found guilty, be it the man who is a monster deserving to die or a man who couldn't stand up when he was needed.

Wolf however was no mere mortal to be trifled with, he stood his dark matter bouncing sparking off him like lightning as he gazed forth a murderous look of discontent on his face fore Zeda. In fact today was nothing lie yesterday, Wolf seemed healthier than anyone could imagine, any symptom he had previously had dissolved. This may had been cause Wolf had spent the middle of the night downing his pills like tic tacs in anticipation, but truly he was something else. The pressure alone would be enough to strangle at ones throat, his murderous intent making it squeeze down on those weaker than him .... this wasn't a battle for the faint of heart

Zeda inhaled at the sight of his opponent while the masses began to swamp the seats and cheer for the duo. Some cheered, others watched. Among them were some strong shinigami and all were gathered here to watch this one rather fascinating event. Zeda wasn’t about to lie or be arrogant, he was anxious as the last time he fought Wolf he could fend him off with one hand, this time the story would go a much different way! His jet black eyes looked across the battle grounds as he began passing through the archway leading inside and through the barrier that protected the Shinigami from the wrath of the immortals. This event would be rather interesting as Wolf nor anyone else within the Gotei 13 had any knowledge of Zedas Zanpakutō abilities; there were all in the dark.

Threats, insults and empty words didn’t show ones Strength; that’s one principle that Zeda believed in. The fact that Strength wasn’t spoken it was shown which was why he never initiated irrelevant fights; he saw no reason in provoking someone into a needless fight when either of them could be helping their comrades or the civilians of earth. He knew for a fact that Wolf had no virtues that he could abide by, it was something that flawed him in Zedas opinion as the strongest of combatants had a will and a drive that motivated them to stay alive and succeed in life. For Zeda this drive was his sense of pride, he was born into the Yuudeshi family for a reason and wasn’t about to tarnish their reputation with his wrong doings. He had a strong father who served and still does serve as an excellent role model, there’s also his uncles who trained him and allowed him to reach this point in evolution which was why Zeda wouldn’t allow for them to be insulted before him.

This was all a chance to rid the cub of his inner pain. Zeda knew for a fact that there was something wrong with Wolf; he reviewed the recordings collected by the Yuudeshi Network countless times yet each and every time Wolf died so how could it be that he was stood within sight? He considered that his reincarnation would have had consequences and who knew, maybe the only way for him to really rest in peace would be for him to avenge his loneliness by killing the only man who stood up for him while the majority of the Gotei aimed to expel him? The man who abandoned him and left him with false hope.

Zeda glanced around as Wolf began entering the arena. Suddenly the whole stadium went quiet and the order to begin was issued.

“BEGIN” The instruction was clear and broadcasted through the stadium...

One bright day in middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
A def police man who heard the noisee,
Woke up and shot the two dead boys.
If you dont believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man he saw it too.

Out of the blue Zeda began spewing a limerick while the crowds looked at him in confusion. He spoke out to the whole stadium while his eagle like eyes remained focused on the prey, Wolf. His hands twitched as he reached for the crimson blade sheathed on his right hip. He began tugging the ribbon holding the sheath in place and suddenly the Zanpakutō began descending toward the ground, only to drop into Zedas right hand. The sound of the metal ruffling around began radiating through the arena whilst Zedas hand ascended to point the sheathed Zanpakutō at his feeble opponent. He wasn’t feeble of course but those were the only thoughts going through Zedas mind after last night’s fiasco. His body tensed as he braced himself.

This situation made him recall the first time he had trained alongside his relatives. He remembered the individuals keeping everything on their terms and always stating that they were the Yuudeshi thus the fight would proceed on their terms. He remembered that this strategy made the opponents feel useless as the Yuudeshi always seemed to have the upper hand within combat. He enjoy the anecdotes they told him that day and seemed to remember it even now.

You see the brain is a magnificent contraption, at points where significant memories are to be recorded the other memories that are most valued are recalled. This can be psychologically narrowed down to the levels of consciousness within the brain and the fact that everything rehearsed or thought about a lot is eventually sent into the long term memory of the individual while the information within the short term memory were lost within minutes. This event was significant as it would finally allow Zeda to let loose while presenting the true powers of his Zanpakutō to the whole of Gotei 13, he just hoped that the barrier was strong enough to sustain the duo releasing if that’s what it came down to.

With his sheathed Zanpakutō pointing at Wolfs chest and the tension rising he simply stood there idly awaiting his comrades attack.

Artist: Hellsing Raid ost - Song: Act of Demon or Work of God - Word Count: 957

The burning in ones soul the cataclysm that latches onto all hope and proceeds to kill it. Wolf stood his body free, relaxed even, this never ending surge for destruction had always plagued him the ideals he abided by were simple, kill or be killed. But lately he didn't even care for his morals, so now as he stood there one of his hands in his pockets the other rubbing the back of his neck it was obvious this wasn't going to be just another showing of power .... this was going to be the first time wolf had truly broken free of his restraints. Wolf knew of course that the powers of Zedas own Zanpakutō were clad in mystery, the man himself was an enigma that wouldn't reveal anything to the world unless it need be done, but the truth was wolfs full capabilities after his revival were unknown to many as well. needless to say these 2 men were hiding there strengths and right now they would show them.

The words were spoken but wolf never moved, his attention turning from the failed captain he once respected to a crowd who's cheers were giving him a headache. The collective voices were clawing at his mind the taste of ash was in the air the bitterness was stretching over his tongue, how he yearned for a good drink right now. Wolf looked to his hands, they sat shaking each finger slightly moving, everything around him seemed to shake a little bit, maybe it was the medication or maybe it was the unsated blood lust he had contained for so long. The ring on his finger a new sight, usually it lay dormant around his neck, but today was the time he would put it to its full use. As Zeda began to speak the true meaning of fear would be dealt to anyone within range. The mans raw power jumped out, the dark matter cackling off of him, the noise hitting like a sonic boom through the air. The dark matter spanned out like lightning smashing into the earth ripping up some of this arena in a 5 meter radius around wolf, the "electric" dark matter then proceeded to cling to wolf fusing with very cells, morphing and changing him his power becoming untapped allowing him to achieve feats ridiculous to some the closest comparison to be made may be shunko.

But it wasnt just the power boost that may be noticeable to this crowd around, the biggest change was to put it simple his eye. The hue of it changed from the normal green to a deep red. Within a second the space behind wolf ripped open a wormhole forming so quickly the eye may not even notice it. As it dragged wolf in within a second of its opening one may not even realize a second one had opened right next to zeda. Wolf lunged out of it before zedas sword was even fully raised at his old position. The air around both Zeda and wolf would feel heavy, the gravity of this place growing to huge lengths making it sso that any normal man would be crushed underneath its weight, more than likely it wouldn't do this to zeda but rather just slow him movements to a huge length. This of course would make it difficult for the man to dodge the next attack wolf was placing. As the mans right hand rose the dark matter would seep out of his palm quickly intertwining and morphing itself into the shape of a katana. As it finished wolf would bring it down onto the shoulder of Zeda looking to slice the man in 2 if he couldn't raise his guard up, however due to his enhanced power it would be likely that this simple attack regardless of how well guarded against would send Zeda launching backwards.

the matter too took an approach to make sure this man didn't just strive to the side and follow with a new strike, as the blade his any solid structure it would rip downwards into the ground and then after burrowing stretch upwards 5 meters length wise and over a 100 m width creating a field of spikes to both the left and right of these men. The only place would allow Zeda to go was back, and with a rise oh his free hand the dark matter stretched from his feet to the ground behind him creating a pack of black energy wolves. They shot forth teeth snarling looking to tear apart anything in their way, jumping over or stammering to the side of wolf the tore forth intent on meeting their mark. These bundles of joy to held another key point as soon as they hit something they would detonate sending a near 400 km explosion of dark matter shrapnel that would tear through flesh like butter.

Within that second wolf would speak allowing his old friend to know this was no normal fight, this wasn't a childish training session. Wolf was out for blood and Zeda was his target. the prey or the preditor only time would tell which of the 2 each of these men were.

I trusted you, and you fell. I thought unlike every other coward you may actually rise above seeing your name as some sort of birth right to power. But your the same as all of them, and for that i shall show you the true nature of darkness and death. Be prepared for I'm going to go all out and this wont be the same as before. I am the wolf ... not your pup, i live to kill you live for my entertainment.
