Zeda opened his eyes in as the bright morning sun began to rise above the horizon. He found himself in the court yard of the 7th Divison HQ. He had slept like a puppy; his eager yet somewhat angry eyes began to set upon the countless holes and dints that had been embedded into the surrounding areas. He had attempted to release his anger but was yet to succeed. His black eyes glanced up at the soon, since it was only just rising he had enough time to get something to eat before his little fiasco near at the 11th Division festival.
He arose from his laid position prior to taking a deep breath and standing to his feet. The men and women of his division were already at work, arranging folders and details of misconduct around the Seireitei. It was the job of the 7th Division to discipline these individuals and determine whether or not they were fit to serve the Gotei 13, especially after countless complaints and acts of unprofessionalism. There were two individuals that really shun light upon themselves with their ever increasing misconduct, the first being Kenpachi Zaraki, the previous Captain of the 11th Squad; though his actions were almost always justifiable the second individuals were not.
The second, Wolf Lionus the appointed Captain of Squad 8 seemed to consider the Seireitei his little playground. There have been countless reports from other division complaining about this one individual and his method of gaining results; similarly the individual went against a member of an allied organization to the Gotei 13 with no blatant reason. He had never been question which brought to mind only one scenario, were they all scared of him? Did they fear his demonic vibe so much that they refrained from confronting him? He found it funny, how one man could cost the Gotei 13 so much; it seemed that Central 46 had become filled with a series of senile individuals, lacking both time and power to deal with these incidents.
Zeda had a lot on his mind thus the thought of bringing this to light never even passed his mind. He arose, wearing his standard captain Haori accompanied by his black shinigami attire and sandals. His red Zanpakutō was sheathed on his right hip while his larger Zanpakutō was now strapped on his back. He slowly withdrew his necklace from beneath his black shinigami attire prior to kissing it and placing it back to its regular location. He arose to his feet, unfortunately today was the arrival of his new Vice Captain, but he simply asked his division members to keep an eye out until Zeda had returned.
He urged one of his squad members to call him a messenger while he began to walk over to his office. His office was warm, filled with light and a stack of papers Zeda was to go through; he really didn’t feel like doing paper work yet. He was pumped; adrenaline kept circulating through his body with every moment that had passed. He was ready for this fight! Within moments a messenger appeared alongside Zeda while knelt; it seemed a custom to kneel before an individual prior to delivering a message therefore Zeda issued an inquiry to the Captain Commander Tsubasa Unabara. Zeda respected this man among others within the Gotei 13 but this man had reflected what Zeda only hoped to become.
“Captain Commander Unabara. With your permission, I would like to occupy one of the grounds that will be used by the 11th Division in today’s festival. The purpose for this is for a battle between me and the Captain of the 8th Division. Permission to release the full potential of our power would be much appreciated. Wolf seems to have something to prove, and now so do I. Thank you.” with the end of his request the messenger had vanished in order to deliver the information to the Captain Commander. It was only a matter of minutes before a response would return but Zeda had an awful feeling that their intentions hadn’t come across properly and that he sounded rather aggressive while describing the intentions of the battle. Hopefully the Captain Commander understood…
Within minutes the man had returned, once again in his knelt position and baring news. The man informed Zeda that a special perimeter would be set up for the duo to fight. More precisely, they will be granted permission to use one of the battle grounds and the barrier would be present around it in order to sustain damage and prevent escalation if they were to release bankai. As the messenger concluded he departed and Zeda stood up in order to stretch off, have a shower and head toward the grounds.
An hour or so had passed since Zeda engulfed a light breakfast, showered, got dressed in fresh but similar clothes and departed to the battle grounds. He still wielded the same weapons but he slowly paced himself through the small crowds of shinigami that were heading to spectate the small festival. Zeda looked ahead, with every step he became more and more tense, but the moment he recalled what Wolf had said about his father it felt almost as if a needle had been slashed through his stomach. It was an uncanny feeling and Zeda hated both the thought and the sense as it almost instantly transformed into anger.
He arrived within minutes of ‘it’ striking noon. His attention turned to the vast spiritual pressures he felt in the distance, he could identify one by its sheer quantity, that one being the Captain Commanders. The others around the Head Captain were without a doubt Captain Level but without time to waste, Zeda approached the designated battle ground and hell they really were not kidding about this barrier. It seemed a kido and the barrier appeared to be made of raw energy; the density of it was miraculous since it would have to take Captain level blows. Zeda began to approach it and it seemed that once you entered it was hard to exit which was ideal as Zeda aimed to keep the fight within the large event grounds.
The grounds had been intoxicated by the barriers in order to prevent and damage to the Seireitei below. He glanced under the grounds that were spanning roughly two hundred meters in area. He braced himself to enter as the crowds began to fill the stands; it seemed that this fight would get a shit lot of attention as would the others within the winter festival. He awaited a sign of his opponent Wolf, at this point in time he couldn’t feel or see him.
