Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training] Empty Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training]

Desolateness, that's all her life was before she had joined the eighth squad. She was grateful for all that her captain had done for her taking her under his wing, promising power under his own circumstances. She'd have to earn it as it wasn't something that was tangible for him to give. Although, in doing so he would teach what she needed to know in order to obtain this. The feeling of having someone at arms length to help guide her down the right path made her feel some what giddy inside, but not in a romantic way. She respected her captain. Though he was oddly deranged, it seemed as though he had taken a keen liking to the girl due to the fire that was set in her eyes. Not to mention that she was a nice piece to look at as well. That was besides the point. The point was that she was able to find someone such as Wolf to help down the path to strength and rank. Instead of sitting around at the second divisions barracks twiddling her thumbs until something unworthy of her time came to sight. That's how it had always been, though, she was just a pawn to be used for the meaningless tasks that the other didn't want to complete. Knowing that she'd do them, whether it be with heart or not, they passed most of the easy stuff her way. Though it did give her a reason to get out and do something she wasn't exactly satisfied with them at all. In fact, she felt as though they were mocking her as she had spent so many years dwindling away. Perhaps it wasn't even that they were mocking her, but waiting to see when she would actually complete a task fully instead of taking the easy route. Maybe the second division wasn't so bad after all? Nope, their captain was lazy and cared little for the others except for his star children.

Joining the eighth division may have been the best thing she could have done for herself at this point, but maybe if she had put forth the effort she could have excelled in the second. Doing that was highly doubtful for Eliah, though, she was so set in her ways with being lazy and lounging around all the time. Nobody really every gave her the discipline she needed in order to do anything about her lackadaisical behaviors. Hell, they had even gave her the nickname the "Lackadaisical Snowflake" due to her cold but soft banter and her laziness. Luckily it wasn't some sort of contagious disease or everyone within the second squad would have gotten it, as she didn't let anyone keep her from doing what she wanted. Cleaning duties? Sure I'll hold that broom for you while I sit down. That's just the way it was and nobody did anything to stop it. It almost seemed as though she was a spoiled brat at times as she had always gotten what she wanted. Though it wasn't her to blame, she had already been through a humans life and this life didn't seem like it was ending anytime soon either. She felt as though she deserved some time for relaxation for the next eternity. That wouldn't be so true though, she didn't rightly deserve anything to be frank about it. If anything she didn't even deserve to hold any position with the Gotei 13 as she'd probably make better use of herself several floors beneath the Captain Commanders quarters staring a gray wall. That certainly would have seemed like a rank up back a few months ago to Eliah, but not now. She was set for the top and wouldn't let anyone stop her.

She was surprised how popular she had become with the captains in the past few weeks first being Wolf the next being Zeda. Hell she'd probably have the Captain Commander showing up in her barracks any day now. She didn't understand what was so interesting about her, though. She knew that for Zeda he was only interested in having her for something to stare at with the vague fantasy of actually getting anywhere further than that. There was no way she was going to let that happen. She would have let him help her on journey, but after that whole emotional breakdown in front of her and Captain Wolf she couldn't bare to think of someone such as him help her with her ambitions. He wouldn't do anything but flirt with the girl and then Eliah would only get heated over the matter and probably get some training in by trying to beat his ass... come to think of it maybe she should have done that instead. She'd get much use out of him if that were the case. Either way, the guy was considered scum to Eliah now, as she set her goals to surpass him. She flipped back a few pages in her mind and went back to that day that she called him out telling him that he stood in the shadows of other Captains like himself and that she would one day surpass him. That would become the goal: surpassing Zeda. After that? Well, killing him would be nice as he isn't exactly a prime aspect to the Gotei 13. She'd love to dethrone the ginger though, that would be lovely. However, at the rate she was going at right now that wouldn't be happening any time soon.

She rose up out of her bed bellowing out a loud yawn as she stretched her tiny arms. She was nude within her own confines, even though the doors were made of rice paper she didn't really mind much that people see her naked. It wasn't like she was hiding anything for anyone special anyway. If anything she was probably celibate and didn't believe in relationships or marriage. Not after all of the indecent things that had happened in her past with men, it wouldn't even be in her mind to sleep with another man. However, those happenings were all her own fault for her lack of dressing properly, but it wasn't like she was going to walk around looking like a nimkapoop like the rest of the tard-asses that walked around Seireitei and Rukongai. She'd at least have style if she wasn't going to have marriage. She finished up the yawn to realize that it was rather cold outside after unsheathing her naked legs from the blanket she slept under. She proceeded on to rub her eyes just like it were any other morning. Rising up out of her bed she walked over to the mannequin that held her garb in mint condition, that was the one thing that she was proud of since she had joined the gotei 13. Her uniform. She had always kept it clean spick and span having several other uniforms ready to go within her small closet. She grabbed the small pieces of wardrobe that were held together by golden bands and clasped them all into place letting out a sigh as she finished.

It was about that time to head off, but before she did so she decided that she would lay back down for a few seconds. No, that wasn't a good idea that was like her old self. Oh, how there were so many perks to being lazy. Getting to sleep in, eating, not doing anything... literally. However, she'd feel much better about herself as a human being if she had did something other than lounge around. She hadn't felt any sense of accomplishment in so long that it slightly scared her to even think of it. After deciding it was unwise to continue to lay in bed she let out another sigh and spoke out loud, "So... tired..." Her words strung out for seconds as she felt as though she was depressed. Hopefully the brisk air would wake her up, if not then she'd have to figure something out. Once again yawning as she approached her rice door she slid it open with her mouth agape letting out a miserable wail. "Fuuu..." Once again elongating her speech, though it was cut off by the sight of nobody even being around. She turned to see what the time was to find out that it was a normal hour for people to be meandering around the courtyards of the division's headquarters. It was somewhat weird that nobody was. She would just shrug it off, though as really she wasn't too worried about the matter. Though she couldn't help but continue to think about it as she continued on her way to the training grounds.

A strange feeling came upon her as she had made it about half way to her destination of the training grounds. She just couldn't quite put her finger on it. Was today some sort of event or meeting? No, that wasn't it. She hoped so at least. She stopped in her tracks to take a look at her self holding her arms out to her sides and then looking at her body up and down. She was dressed all right. Finally it dawned on her... her Zanpakutō. She left it in her barracks, again hoping. She let out in a high volume yet another sigh as she cursed herself under her breath. Two males were behind her as she began to turn around walk the other way which she simply shoved them to the side as though they were two swinging doors. She dragged her feet as she began to feel more and more tired. It was so weird how even though she received a decent amount of sleep that she felt so tired. It just seemed to be one of those days where getting the right amount of sleep seemed like the incorrect thing to do. She could have overslept, but that wouldn't have helped her get any further to her goals and even then she'd probably still feel groggy. It seemed like the only way that she ever felt fully awake was when she would hit the bar the night before and stay out to a late hour and then sleep for a small amount of time and wake up in a panic that she had overslept. Though it was an abrupt way to wake up it certainly was the best way to do so.

Sliding her door open once again she began her search for her Zanpakutō, but couldn't seem to put her finger on where exactly she left it, literally. She was unable to put her finger onto of her small closet in order to reach it as she held a very uncomforting stare with it as if it was going to grow legs and get down itself. How nice that would be, a sword that was able to walk... they'd most likely be able to fight too no? She shook her head trying to get the puerile thoughts from her head as she continued to plot how she was going to get the damn sword from on top of the closet. Making a few attempts at jumping to reach it she realized that she was going to need something to make her taller. She began to search around the room, not one chair or stool around. "Stupid Japanese orientated rooms..." She insulted the room as if it were its fault for designing itself the way it was. She grabbed the mannequin and began to climb on it, but very cautiously so that it wouldn't fall over. She didn't really understand why she would place the Zanpakutō on top of the wardrobe. It just didn't make sense to her. However she was forced to bring her palm to her forehead as she remembered she had just aimlessly tossed it up the night before. She didn't pay much attention to where exactly it went, just to the fact that it wasn't attached to her anymore. Extending her arm she was able to grasp the small sash that connected the blade to her waste, though she realized she would have to undo her lower garb in order to put it back on which resulted in yet another sigh as she did so.

Finally she had everything she needed in order to begin her training for the day. It would just take some effort in waking herself up was all...

Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training] Empty Re: Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training]

Making her way to the training grounds for eighth division Eliah had come to realize that she wasn't exactly sure on how to start on her training. All she had to reflect on was the blurry image of doing so in the academy, but even then she could hardly remember what exactly it was that they did in order to achieve results. After all it had been over half of a century since she last trained, so she felt as though she was a newbie to the acts of training. Her head became tense as she grew aggravated with herself trying to figure out how exactly she was going to achieve greatness and surpass Zeda if she wasn't able to even figure out a solid way to improve her skills.

Looking around Eliah watched as others sparred against one another using bamboo swords. Which did hurt, but the pain wouldn't be enough for her to want to continue training. She'd need something that would motivate her someone that she knew would continue to push her, but who? She wouldn't burden her captain with the matter yet again, even if he did promise to teach her the ways, she wanted to at least get some things done on her own so that she'd be able to show him what improvement she was able to make on her own. Aggravated, Eliah walked to the stand of bamboo swords that were off to the side of the dojo-like atmosphere, just outside. She grabbed the first bundle of bamboo by what would be the blade of an regular sword and simply tossed it up letting it slide against her hand until her hand met the guard of the weapon. From there she took her right hand and grasped the hilt of the weapon and then swung it around aimlessly trying to display her talent, though it wasn't a pretty sight to watch. Everyone stopped their training to watch as Eliah made a fool of herself, yet everyone seemed impressed just to see her out and doing something. Yet for some reason or another others looked at her as though she was a fool and was just there to make a mockery of them. They knew of her ways within the second division as it had reached everyone within the squad through word of mouth, most likely distributed out by some big mouthed female that talked to the captain. She pulled her Zanpakutō from the sash that was wrapped underneath her garb her bare ass showing in the midst of doing so making all of the males' faces turn bright red. Their mouths opened agape as the females that were training sighed and placed their heads in their heads in embarrassment of their comrades.

Dropping her Zanpakutō on the ground she was ready to begin taking challenges, but who would even want to fight her. Assuredly there had to be someone that was willing to take her on or show her the ropes. She stood and watched as everyone had their eyes set on her. Eliah's head dropped making it seem to others and though she was upset. However, behind the wall of hair that blocked them from seeing her face was a very complicated smile, one that was very hard to explain. She was happy that she had actually took the first steps, but she knew that it wasn't enough for her to just be there. It wasn't like sleeping on the book was going to give her knowledge. She'd have to actually put forth the effort. She lifted her fist balling it up in doing so and brought it up to eye level with herself. She rose her head from what seemed to be the state of depression she was in with her the large grin on her face. "Alright! Who's first?" She shouted looking around in the crowd to see if she would have any volunteers, or victims as she would call them. However, she would most likely end up the victim depending on who it was to volunteer.

Everyone starred at Eliah with blank faces making it clear that her presence wasn't wanted on the training grounds. She had thought that they maybe not heard her or something, she let out a hum in query of the silence. "What, are you guys scared? Let's go! We didn't all come here to stare at one another, we came here to obtain strength and knowledge in order to make our way to a higher place than what we currently are." She stated in an eccentric tone her last sentence coming out in a rather monotonous way that left a stinging effect on the faces of those around her, surprised by her words. They could all clearly see that this wasn't the same girl that they had heard rumors of, and if it was she had clearly had a change in resolve. She sucked her teeth in disappointment of her comrades, "Some warriors you are, I thought I was joining the squad with the strongest members. We're supposed to be reigning over the eleventh squad, but yet you're all just standing around doing nothing. Now wh--" She continued on but was cut off when a voice finally arouse from the crowd.

"Me, I'll be the one to pop your cherry for your soon to be countless losing streak." A voice answered in a very monotonous tone the voice wasn't exactly low pitch but it was definitely the voice of a man. Eliah was quite surprised that someone had actually answered her call finally. She'd get the chance to show that she wasn't a complete waste after all, however she was unable to see who it was that had spoken up to her. She lifted herself up onto her tippy toes swaying her head back and forth trying to find out who it was that had said something. The crowd began to make way as the man began to make his way to her sights. As people watched as he made his way through they let out gasps, surprised that the kid would be her first contender. Words began to crawl all throughout the area of the training grounds as he made his way through the crowd. As he entered he threw the bamboo stick to the side and sheathed his Zanpakutō. "I won't make child's play of this, we shall fight like real "warriors" as you stated. First to draw blood will lose." The man stated, but was just a silhouette in eyes of Eliah, making her unable to tell who it was she was dealing with. The chatter of the crowd could only make her think that the kid had some kind of reputation, but she wasn't sure being a new member to the squad herself. Eliah smirked tossing her bamboo sword off to the side as well. She had created quite the scene so it was to be expected for her opponent to want to make her eat her words. She began to walk over to her Zanpakutō unsheathing it from it's home letting the bright metal bounce the sun's light into the eyes of those surrounding her.

She looked at the dark figure as he began to walk toward her direction showing himself his hair covered his left eye and was of a teal hue. His skin was pale white and atop of it was a semi traditional type garb to the shinigami, but his pant legs were restricted to by the tight wrapping of cloth down to his feet. His sleeves were chopped at the shoulder and his right arm was wrapped in an aged bandage. It was clear that this kid was no joke and his persona depicted that very well. His clothes were drenched in sweat, most likely from the rigorous amounts of training he had put in for the day. Eliah smirked seeing that the kid was so proud of his abilities as a "warrior" yet he lacked the look of one. However, she'd refuse to let the looks of her opponent judge his skill it was obvious from his torn arm that he had put a lot of devotion into his training and Eliah could, at the least, give him respect for that. Seeing as he had already made steps further than she had herself.

Picture:

It came time to put her words to the test, but before she did so she witnessed the man smirk in the shadows of his hair. Shocked by the man's reaction to her accepting his challenge he tossed his own Zanpakutō to the side making the crowd let out a gasp of surprise themselves. Beads of sweat began to drip down the forehead of Eliah as she began to feel as though she made the wrong decision in choosing her opponent. She wiped the salty waters from her face with her bare arm. Was this an act of submission to Eliah, or was the kid really just this ballsy that he would fight her for first blood without a weapon? Eliah questioned his cockiness taking it as an insult of her own ability. Her face became serious and slightly full of anger, "You dare disrespect my abilities like this!?" She shouted not wanting to let him make a fool of her so easily. Perhaps it would be easier this way for Eliah, perhaps she needed someone to humiliate her such as this man would. After all losing could sometimes be considered a great growth for a warrior.

"Azumaka, Niroki... Eleventh seat of the Hachibantai. First in class of 2413." His words rang through the ears of Eliah as she let out a grunt in surprise to his quick learning ability. Her first opponent would be someone that was that high up in the rankings? She didn't think it would be like this, and nor did she expect him to tell her that he had only recently graduated from the academy, and with flying colors! She could feel the blood begin to boil in her veins as she grew more aggravated with herself. How was she to surpass Zeda if there were students from the academy graduating at higher ranks than she was. The ground level for them to start their progression was much greater than that of hers. "What's the matter? Shocked that I was the one to challenge you? Shall I show you my shikai? No... We haven't even exchanged blows yet, that would be an insult to myself wasting such an ability on the likes of you." Eliah's face was smeared with shock once more as the word shikai left his mouth. She couldn't believe someone that was that immature in sight would have such power. His cockiness was well earned, however. He deserved to be able to talk down to Eliah, but he had no idea the struggles that she had been through her life. Her resolve would surpass his by a long shot. "What's wrong? Still debating on whether or not this a good idea? Don't want to be made a fool of by your pee--" His words were cut short by Eliah.

"Don't be so full of yourself, you've yet to reach potential worthy of my praise! I'll surpass you as well as everyone here, don't be so vague to let yourself think that I'll stand by while you insult me with such words and actions!" Shouting out with anger Eliah began to run toward his direction her blade in both hands as she rose it above her right shoulder ready to end the fight quick proving that life struggle would prevail of such puerile behaviors. Letting out a deep and heavy battle-cry she brought the blade down onto the man aiming for his right shoulder. She swung with great strength and speed, the man's image simply flickered as her blade seemed to pass through his arm. Did she actually him? Was all that talk just words to get her pumped enough to make the first move. No... there was no way.

Her thoughts were denied as the man let out a smirk before swiftly placing his palm into her ribcage with great force sending her flying away rolling on the ground. Letting out sounds of pain as she rolled, but managed to get her feet to land to the ground before meeting a building. A white smoke lifted from the ground beneath her feet as she came to a halt. She could taste the blood coming from her internal wounds, but refused to let it show. Having no other choice but to swallow the red liquid she did so, not letting her battle end this soon. She looked to Niroki who stood in the very same spot, not letting his move either. A smirk still painted onto his face showing that he was amused so far...

She replayed the last scene in her mind again, she couldn't believe that he had such speed. She began to breath heavily already slightly worn from the attack she had just performed. He was able to dodge my attack by simply shunpoing a step to the side and then falling back to the same position.... Such speed... Do I really stand a chance? She doubted her abilities, but she didn't doubt her resolve she began to let her body become erect, pointing her Zanpakutō to his direction. "Tsundora, Eliah...unseated officer of the haichibantai..."

Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training] Empty Re: Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training]

Gaining her ground once more she charged at the kid again, this time not letting his presence get away so easily with a simple to dodge vertical attack to an outer limb. This time her strategy would be different. She wouldn't let such attempts go to waste, especially not after creating such a scene. She couldn't dare let herself tarnish her name so quickly. If she had done that then she would be just another arrogant fool like many others that she had seen come and go. She had made her arrival well known and now it was time to keep it that way, there were no intentions of letting her reputation fall back to once was! Now was the time to rise above that of her old being and come to find a new inner self, one that stood taller, walked harder, and acted braver. After all this new self is what had brought her to such a debut to the eighth division members, she would let such an extravagant entrance fall to her feet or worse, the ground. She'd have to continue pushing against her foe, whether it meant her own being harmed by the bare hands of this man. Even if she failed she knew that it would be for the better if she went at it with all that she held within herself. So many years of despair and lack of will, so many times she refused this and instead did that, so many times she brought disappointment to the face of her superiors. She wouldn't let such things stride in front of her again. She'd have to use these thoughts and images to let her strive forward, however, and in doing so she would prevail.

Once within range of the opponent she locked eyes with him letting the fire steam through her being and radiate on his entire presence. In doing so she sent him into a slight shock as if he had just begun to fight with another girl, as if he had picked the wrong fight and was mistaken by her first impression. Yet the sense of surprise was only brief before he put a smirk on his face. Her blade came diagonal toward his left collar bone prepared to not let him leave the battle unscathed, however she wouldn't expect for anything but defeat to surround Azumaka. However, his reactions to the attack would be quite the opposite as his smirk turned to a devilish grin letting his teeth squeeze from the grasps of his seemingly loose lips for trash talk. As he did so his right hand began to glow a color that was similar to that of his hair's hue. He rose his hand up to his shoulder and with little to no effort caught the blade in his hand. Eliah gasped once more in shock, as the crowd followed her lead and began to go on with banter and cheering on who they wanted to win. It looked like this was the one time the underdog wasn't the favorite, unfortunately for her. She adjusted her eyes from her blade to Azumaka, seeing that he held his grin while he let lose of his grip on the blade. She backed away bringing her sword to a ready position once more, not ready to give in just yet. His ways of dodging and blocking weren't something that she had seen to this caliber of an opponent. Not yet at least. He'd be her toughest opponent to date, yet she still managed to hold her composure as though he were just another hollow grunt.

The grin began to turn toward Eliah as she also showed her teeth to him, but in a more of an inferior, or agitated manner. Hoping to provide some sort of tone to her opponent that would show that she was not going to give in so easily, or that she was not a force to be reckoned with. She slightly growled as he looked at her, his face was rather blank other than the grin that was on his face that Eliah tried to void out from her sights.

"These attacks...they are only just tests for me to gather the right information of your abilities. Don't be swayed by them, this is nothing compared to what I can reign over you. Heed my words, you insolent fool. You won't continue to dodge attacks so easily, nor block them! That number that you represent in this squad means nothing to that of the will of my heart and yearn to surpass all of you! I'll do whatever it takes to get there! So, please, burden me with your power so that I can showcase my own. I won't be subject to such pity defenses, not unless they are something that can withstand my own being! Don't try to cast your shadow over me, all you'll do is lose yourself in the darkness that is my own... Now, reveal yourself to me!"

She shouted not letting anger cloud her words, but letting her heart do the talking while she let her brain take a small hiatus. Her breathing began to become deep as the light blue hue of energy began to emit from her body. She began taking larger inhales and exhaled them slowly the energy the left her body would send chills down the backs of those that surrounded her from the shear amount of energy she was able to produce. However, the true chills would come as they began to become encased into the cold temperatures that would radiate from her very being. This was power that she had never dabbled in herself, not having to ever exert herself to these levels. Such a thing had never actually been attempted by her, but in doing so she was able to somehow find a deeper connection to her Zanpakutō. She had finally come to realize that her Zanpakutō was beginning to acknowledge her being giving her the power to passively use it's powers while debuted it's abilities. However, it was just the slight change in temperature that the ice-goddess within her blade would lend her, but it would still be enough for Eliah to want to push herself further to succeed.

"Can you feel it? Can you feel the numbness that is setting within your body as well as within your senses while my power overwhelms you, are you going to let such a minuet force such as myself crush you? Not even I have seen myself go to such depths to prove my being and place within this squad, but I will not stand by and let you make a mockery of my name. Now, let's see if you can read my actions so clear with this numbness setting in... let's see you surpass my abilities... let's see it! SHOW ME YOUR POWER!"

Enraged with power now as the floor beneath her began to crumble and small bits of snow could be seen blown around in the gusts of wind that her raw spiritual pressure emitted. It was now her chance to make her moves, but of course her opponent would go without adding in his own two cents, and she was yet to see him even react to her power. His grin stayed painted on his face, if not grew larger as he saw his true opponent reach out for him. Silence stood between the two as she basked in her dense, chilling spiritual energy. The crowd chattered their teeth and huddled a bit closer in order to stay warm, not wanting to leave the sight of this epic battle between two lessers happening before them. The silence was broken by the somewhat sinister laugh of Azumaka, such a cackle would forever be imbedded into those that let the sound ring into their ears. It brought horror to those within the crowd, but Eliah stood strong and able to endure his meaningless taunts. The cackling came to a slow halt before he began to speak calmly and with gestures as though he was unaffected by the presence of her being.

"I told you once, did I not? I will not make child's play of this... however, it seems as though you want to take it a little further than the level above child's play. I respect that, however, I warned you. Your words, your actions, your demeanor... is this the same woman that I boasted against? Or was that all for not, are you hustling me or something? Hah, such thoughts don't even begin to cross my mind. Hustle me with such weak power, you're yet to even find a connection with your Zanpakutō... where mine surpasses that of all the bodies within these training grounds combined! You wish bring the thermostat down a few degrees? Very well, I'll just have to shroud this place in darkness..."

His words stung the ears of those listening, however didn't even manage to lift the brow of Eliah. She stood ready for him to make his moves toward progression, yet he still wouldn't even budge for his Zanpakutō. Eliah's teeth began to grind and she grew impatient with the kid.

"You say you won't make child's play, but yet you still stand unarmed. You say you have a connection with your Zanpakutō that is greater than others... As far as I can see you've been lied to. Your Zanpakutō lays on the ground while you come up against an opposing Zanpakutō. How do you think it feels about that, won't you dare raise your blade to my presence or is it to over baring for you to bend down so far. Are you already so numb that you've become delusional? Do you want a blanket or something? Is that what this shroud is? PICK UP YOUR BLADE AND SHOW ME WHAT A REAL WARRIOR IS, OR MAY YOUR PRIDE FOREVER BE TARNISHED."

Her words lashed right back at his, once again stinging the crowd. It seemed as though she was much more well-spoken than he was. After all, he had only been in the Gotei 13 for something over or under a year. He'd be new to the banter as far as she was concerned, however it wasn't words that would settle this fight it would be the two shear power and skill that would prove who was the real victor. The words seeming to compute to that of Azumaka's ears as he began to make his way toward his Zanpakutō that laid atop of other bamboo training swords. He grasped it by the sheathed and then raised it to eye level, in doing so he grasped the hilt with his other hand and began to release his blade to the sight of the crowd. As he did so the ground and area surrounding began to hold a darker tint as his spiritual energy encased the area making everything seem a bit darker and a bit colder as the two spiritual energies mixed with on another creating a simulation of a cool-winter's night. He unsheathed the serrated blade that was of dark hue and emitted a shadowy essence. He let out a small grin as he then continued to release his spiritual energy, others began to wimper in his power however Eliah only let it set into her mind that it wouldn't be enough to keep her from winning. She then smirked at the boy, as she let a sinister grimace come upon her face making her feel more grimy as she spoke the following words.

"Is that it? This is what our prized eleventh seat has to showcase to us? It doesn't even come near to matching my abilities." She boasted somewhat making a fool of herself to the ears of others. His power did indeed surpass hers, but she wouldn't let such things shield her mind from going at him full-force. If she had let herself receive the slightest hint of defeat she wouldn't be able to continue pushing forward like she was...

She grasped the hilt of her icy cold Zanpakutō and then sprung off of her right foot proceeding toward her allied-opponent ready to strike him down and crush his spirits of becoming anything further than that of herself. As she sped toward her target her blue tinted spiritual energy fluttered in the wind in tandem with her scandalous garb letting her ass and panties display perfectly for all of the boys to fall over for. She'd tend to their perversions later, bringing herself back to the thoughts of striking down her opponent she began to lash out a series of hacks and slashes as her opponent began to block and dodge them replying to them with that of his own. Eliah mimicking his course of ability dodging and blocking his attacks, though her blade quivered as he came down onto her with such strength. Not paying any attention to the shivering of her blade the two continued clashing toward one another letting their attacks travel around that of the training ground causing the crowd to move several times. Sparks began to fly as the combat began to intensive. Finally, Azumaka would come down for another strike aimed toward her visage yet she would raise her blade up and block the blow in enough time, and then continue to grab his dominant hand with her less dominant. As she did he let out a gasp, surprised that he let her intrude his bubble. She continued on with the counter sending a swift kick to his rib cage and releasing his hand letting him slid on the ground in pain. As he began to pick himself up Eliah had no other choice but to talk shit about landing the counter.

"So this is what I'm fighting with? Someone that is so subject to such minor counters such as grabbing one's hand? You reacted as though you had the entire battle planned out? Well, let me just remind you that I told you not to let yourself fall into the darkness. There's little to no time to begin setting your pride aside and letting yourself lose. After all, how would live yourself after losing to such a dashing girl such as myself?"

Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training] Empty Re: Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training]

Eliah had finally returned to a feeling that she had long forgotten, accomplishment. It was something that she hadn't experience since she had became friends with none other than Neviah Clixx-Kimura, a Legacy to the Memory Rosaries. A melody of different emotions began to churn within herself as she couldn't help but let a smirk come across her face after she spoke her banter, she was much higher than proud of herself. The feelings that she had were indescribable, she had just countered the attack of something that was on a much higher level than she was. Not only could the crowd around her not believe it, but she herself couldn't either. She couldn't contain her feelings any longer, such joy that was brought onto her resulted in a single tear creeping it's way down her right cheek. She didn't exactly understand why she would even be tearing up at such a monumental time as this, but she wouldn't let all that has happened so far keep her from going any further. There was no way that she couldn't be victorious after this.

The man regaining his ground chuckled a bit, he looked to be a bit puzzled himself, but also relieved that his opponent would be a total sham after all. It seemed as though he too was proud to be considered her ally and that it would be time for him to get a bit more serious himself, but as it stood he was already at a high limit for himself without causing any damage to nearby establishments. The only way he'd be able to continue on in strength would be by entering Shikai, which wasn't going to be something that he would do. Perspiring from his forehead, he brought his hand to wipe it away and then readied himself into another fighting position. His eyes glared at Eliah, not really paying much mind to what she said as they were pointless words to him.

''You seriously think that you should be happy about that? You kicked me, you didn't win... the goal is to make me bleed, not to knock me down. However, you are making this rather interesting. I even just considered entering my released state, but that wouldn't be very fair. Instead, I guess I'm just going to have to play a bit smarter than I thought I would.''

His words caused Eliah to raise a brow slightly as she wiped the tear from her chin and cheek, her face became covered in determination once more. He was right after all, it wasn't time for her to be confident she hadn't really proved anything just yet. She hadn't made any real progress to landing any blows with her Zanpakutō. She was only able to land a cheap body shot on the man. Either way, however the attack had made an impact on the fight and Eliah wouldn't let him live that down even if she did lose.

''Now, now, don't think I'm through yet. We've only just started have we not? If you truly believe that these are the extents of my abilities then I suggest that you lay your sword down and surrender, as there is much more to me than meets the eye. I maybe a fool for fighting you, but I'm not going to let you win so easily. Now, let's quit all this shit talk and get down to business.''

Her words started to amp the crowd up, which might have rose her own ego up a bit, but it'd do the same for Azumaka as well. Things were really starting to get hyped and it was only contributing to the heat of the battle, whoever would lose here would surely be made a fool of. That was for sure. Yet Eliah wouldn't let such thoughts cloud her mind, she was far too focused on the tasks ahead and she'd make sure that she would keep it that way. The two opponents simultaneously tightening the grips of their Zanpakutos their fiery eyes engaging in an intense stare down as they both leaped toward one another. The two hues of grayish blue and teal neared each other and grew as they progressed toward one another. They exchanged high volume cries of battle before they had both finally began to engage their swings. The crowd became quiet as they awaited for the battle to brew up once more.

The sound of clashing metal resounded through the area as the two met blades sparks flying into the air as their blades constantly maintained friction with one another. They continued to push against one another as they exposed their teeth and sweat beaded down their foreheads and into their eyes causing them to wince. It was indeed a fight that was on par, their powers were equal despite their differences in rank. A veteran and a rookie, yet the two struggled to keep their sword up against the other.

''Weak, that's all you are is weak! Don't be fooled by my pretty exterior and my attire, I have not called out an opponent to lose and I won't!''

Eliah shouted as the two released their swords and clashed them together once more repeating the same process over again. Their reiatsu clashed with one another and flared out to the crowd causing some of them to have to back away in order to keep their composure. A light fall of snow began to come upon the area as the low temperatures caused from the reiatsu caused a change in the climate of the area, the small snowflakes whipping around with the immense spiritual pressure that flowed from the two individuals.

''Weak? You see me as weak? Then why is that I hold a seat after being here for just a year while you have been in the protection squads for over a century and have yet to make any real progress? Am I really the one that is weak, or is it time for a reality check!? Like I'd lose to someone that did dress such as yourself, you scandalous bimbo!''

Azumaka's last words clouded Eliah with anger causing her to flare up just a bit more than she already was, but it also caused her to slip up in her push against the man. Her sword slipped as he began to follow through with his swing, Eliah immediately bending forward with the momentum of her blade. The strike was inevitable, but luckily the one thing that she did learn while in the second division was the proper use of hoho. Yet, she wouldn't attempt such a dumb move as the man had once made against her. Instead she progressed into the air taking the battle to the skies. Azumaka looked up toward her and smirked.

''So you are a little quick huh? I guess I'll have to test that out.''

Flash stepping behind Eliah and then to her side attacking with large slashes both times. Eliah brought her sword up to block the first but would have to dodge the next shunpoing away once more. Her breathing began to become heavy as fatigue began to set in. She was definitely nearing her limit soon, but she wouldn't let such techniques become her demise. Speed would be something that he topped her on, but she had no doubts in her abilities to figure a way to counter his attacks. She'd just need the right time to do so. However as she looked upon her opponent who stood in the distance ready to produce yet another attack she noticed that he wasn't even winded yet. He was simply sweating from the physical efforts he had put in already.

Damn, after all of this he hasn't even showed any signs of fatigue. I'm starting to reach my limit... I have to keep going, no matter what my body tells me! She thought as her face tensed up trying to focus on the task ahead: defeating Azumaka. However, this whole time she had been plotting for a way to end the man and had completely forgotten the one task that she had to complete. All she had to do was penetrate the man's skin, that was all. She wouldn't have to vitally wound him, just make him bleed. Yet, remembering this now she began to think that at her current state she wouldn't be able to do so. She'd have to be a bit more strategic in order to do that. Which wasn't exactly her strong suit, she had always been the one to just rush in and attack, not really thinking of the consequences. She usually always was the first to swing, and it usually worked out in her favor. Yet, this time it seemed that she hadn't rushed into the battle, but instead rushed into the middle of it. Meaning, she put all of her effort into the middle of it and not her usual to the beginning. She wasn't exactly sure if this was a bad thing or not, but it was definitely unusual for her.

Azumaka shunpoed his way behind her once again, taking a swing for her mid area. Leaving Eliah with no other choice but to move away from him once more. If it were a game of cat and mouse Eliah would definitely lose, and she knew that. Yet, she still proceeded to do flee from him and his attacks instead of taking them head on. These antics weren't like her, and she didn't really understand the reasoning behind them, yet it almost felt as though it were instinct to run...

Of course, it had become her instinct to run. After all of these years of running away from her problems it had only made sense that she would also run away from her battles. Time and time again she would avoid her superiors that she had been told wanted to speak with her on her progression. Yet she had reached such contentment that she didn't want to go any further in the ranks, that would just mean more responsibility. Even then, they would only want to bump her rank up for pity of her tasks anyway. She wouldn't take some half-assed earned rank, that's not what she wanted. Plus it wasn't her style then to be given anymore work than she already had, that would preposterous. Even if she had moved up a few ranks, that would only mean that would only mean the pity work that she had already been doing would get to her quicker. All of that being put into factor she just wanted to stay away from all of that. Tackling things was the old her, that's not how she did things anymore... No, she wanted to push forward as she had become rejuvenated with hope for power. She wouldn't let the fact that Neviah Clixx-Kimura being virtually wiped from her life affect how her actions would be. Not anymore.

That being said she finally realized that it was time to stop running from her problems, it was time to show this man that speed wasn't going to be his winning asset. No, it would be his downfall. However, she wouldn't just rush into things like a lunatic like she once did before. She was young and rambunctious then, now she was more disciplined and understood fighting a bit more than then. She'd have to read his movements, and find the constant within them. Find his patterns and use that as his weakness. He continued to flash step his way around her slamming his blade down upon her only to miss from her own flash steps. His movements were quick, but his attacks were slow. He focused too much on the strength of his swings when the goal was to only strike blood. He too must have fallen too far into the fight, or perhaps he just wanted to utterly humiliate Eliah. Either way, she wouldn't let this weakness pass her mind. His thoughts were clouded, and it was obvious. The look on his face was no longer determined, but anxious. He was far too focused on doing more damage to Eliah than just that of a flesh wound, he must have already been embarrassed. Finally, he went in for a frontal attack instead of his cowardly attacks to the rear and side. Eliah brought her blade up to meet his, sparks flying once more as they struggled to keep one another from each other.

''Odd, it seems as though you've gotten a little more serious about this fight? Am I making you a bit ancy? I guess I can understand that, you did walk into this fight thinking that it would be an easy task after all. Which was your mistake, you should never underestimate your enemy. You're so young, it's cute. You've even made me giggle, don't blush now...''

Azumaka let out a grueling grunt and pushed himself back away from Eliah and starred at her with resent. It was true, his form was indeed slipping, and Eliah had noticed. He had exposed himself by producing the same melody of attacks over and over, and Eliah had noticed. She couldn't help but feel proud of herself for this...

Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training] Empty Re: Laying the Cards Down[Solo-Training]

Flipping the pages back to years ago, she thought about the training that Neviah had given to her. Which, in return, flipped an emotional switch as she started to think about the good times they had shared together. She began to think and remember all laughs and smiles the two shared, times of strife they helped one another through. Then finally there was just a void. A memory that seemed to be blocked out for reasons that Eliah couldn't grasp, she didn't remember when or why the two had been separated from one another. The very thought confused Eliah, who quickly took a step back letting the green haired opponent move passed her, dodging his attack unconsciously. She couldn't remember...

The crowd took the nonchalant maneuver as an insult to Azumaka's strength and skill, when really it just seemed to be an internal instinct that kicked as she began to remember the teachings that were brought to her by Neviah Clixx. However, what bothered her and kept her from continuing on with her attacks was the fact of the matter that she had no idea why she had stopped seeing Neviah. She had no idea where Neviah was, and for some reason or another felt as though she didn't care, but still wanted to at the same time. She was conflicted between feelings. As her opponent continued to make swing after swing with his Zanpakutō letting out cries of struggle to continue on with each strike. Her face blank and emotionless she nimbly ducked and dodged through each and every attack. His face grew more fierce with each dying second that Eliah remained unamused by what was going on in front of her.

''What the hell is this!? Fight me dammit! I want you to show me that face you showed me before. Where is the feeling in this fight, where is the satisfaction? You've lost control of yourself to something like a fight! Snap out of it, before I have to--"

With each sentence he lashed out another blow, to which Eliah simply moved away from or deflected carelessly with her blade, still lost in thought and completely absent from the area before her. However, just as he told her to snap out of it she came to and her face grew with a great ferocity as her jaw clinched and she let out a grueling grunt. Shunpoing off to the crowd they all moved away to try and reveal the girl's location while keeping themselves out of the heat of battle, but as they did they noticed that Eliah was no where to be found. They all looked around at one another and Azumaka scanned the area for her whereabouts as well, but it seemed as though she had vanished.

---

''E-Eliah-chan, these techniques I-I'm about to teach you... T-they're dangerous. P-promise me you'll only u-use them for good, E-Eliah-chan?''

---

Eliah shunpoed behind Azumaka as a cool mist blew slightly with her sudden appearance, signalling him to turn his sights behind him. The minuet amount of sound from her garments also grasping the attention of the crowd as she used one hand to strike the green-haired newbie in front of her. Prior to this moment, she had completely forgotten about Neviah, her teachings, everything... Her lackadaisical behaviors had sheltered her mind from reminding her of what she was even capable of. All the years of slacking had made her lose interest in even having the abilities in the first place. Then the sudden blankness that remained in Eliah's mind seemed to be the cause of leading cause to her forgetting completely. Something was missing within the timeline of Eliah's life and it seemed to be something that was important.

Azumaka raised his blade blocking the first strike, but Eliah's arm coiled back for another faster and more powerful than before, but just as the strike was about to land she vanished with a cool gust once more. Azumaka could feel the tingling numbness of the brisk winter chill Eliah left behind. He could tell that his reactions were becoming slower and slower with every second that he spent within the cool air. His lips began to turn to a purplish hue as the breeze returned once more so did Eliah, however she continued on with the breeze as it swooped in and out once again. The cool breezes began to take their effect on Azumaka as she drifted in and out of his sights. He swung his blade toward her, but was unable to meet her speed with his becoming slower with each reappearance and disappearance of her own. His chin chattered and he began to become slightly worried with the heat... or lack of heat... that was within the battle. He was able to tell that this had become something that was more personal to Eliah that it was to himself. Raising his blade to his arm he lightly dragged it across his bicep as a small slit was created on his arm. His bottom lip chattered as he let his arm fall to his side.

''This isn't what I signed up for. You're too lost mentally to do anything physically. I may be young, but I can see when a person has lost their own being to their mind. I'm not going to be a product of your anger, I am your ally. Therefore, I withdraw from this battle. You are the victor. There's no way that I could stand against someone that has that much hidden within her. I could only imagine what you'll be like once you figure out what is going upstairs.''

His words were chopped up with the chatter of his lip, but the cool air grew warm as he spoke and Eliah appeared away in the distance just close enough to hear his words. She scoffed and gathered herself trying to keep her mind away from what she was previously thinking. This wasn't how she wanted this to end, she had just began to move the way she was taught to. She had just started to regain her technique that she once had. This was the opportunity that she need. She placed her arm out in front of her as Azumaka turned his back to walk off into the crowd.

''Wait! Please, I need this to continue. I had just started to remember... what was once forgotten...''

While it was true that Eliah was lost in the battle, it was also true that it wasn't about learning what she had forgotten in terms of fighting. It had something more to do with what was forgotten in terms of everything else...
