Once In A Lifetime...Again (Iori)
Sat Nov 20, 2010 12:41 am
Although he had only been here once, everything still seemed to be the same. To be honest, other than the more rural feel, there wasn't much of a difference between the Seireitei and the Homeland of the Sugiura's. Of course, since hardly anyone who wasn't a Sugiura got to even come to this place, it still had that special aura that separated it from any other place in the Spiritual World. Because of this, despite it being Ravana's second visit to this place, he was still taken aback slightly by the landscape. Yes, that's right, the Vizard Ravana Ichiro had come to the Homeland of the Sugiura's once again. Of course, this time, it wasn't for training, but because he had been invited there by Misaiko.
As one would expect, Ravana had no idea as to why Misaiko had invited him, but since he saw her as a mentor and sometimes even a mother figure, he wasn't going to decline her invitation. To show that he had Misaiko's permission to be there, Ravana had a small letter written by her, signed by her, and with a special mark on it to allow him passage. Of course, the one thing that Misaiko apparently hadn't planned on was Ravana arriving so far away. As it was now, Ravana really had no idea which way to go or how far away he was from the Yamashiro Jouten. "Great, just my luck to wind up way off target" Ravana said to himself with a sigh, folding the letter from Misaiko and putting it in one of his pockets. "Well, I guess my luck's not all that bad; at least Iori isn't here to welcome me" he said to himself, this time laughing a bit.

"Getting Lost as usual i see" A feminine voice said, Walking around the open land, that ravana was located in. The voice, sounded slightly rough, but it had some sarcasm in it as well, Still sounding feminine among anything else, it was a Female. Just who was the female? Seeing, as she had addressed ravana with a familiarity. it was none other then, Iori Sugiura. a long time rival of Ravana's. Or at least he probably considered her as one. Iori also considered him a competitive guy, at least now she did, after her many years and reality setting in, she knew good and well, she wasn't as strong as she once figured she was, her arrogance had went away with years. It was obvious that they were still some edges that needed to be cut, However one could definitely tell she was making progress in the field of respect, and knowing when she had an equal, or when she had a lower. She was fine with that fact, it was no use in thinking you were unbeatable, there would always be someone above you, higher then you, and stronger to knock you down, while she had to learn this at the hands of death, it's self. She still managed to come back, and learn a valuable lesson, from her past mistakes. Life, was full of learning different things, and Iori simply had to be an adult, to whatever those things showed to her, in her life. After all, she would never be able to advance forward, if she was always so into her self. That, was going to lead her too her original death once again.
Iori appeared, using a fast movement to appear behind ravana as she leaned up on his back to grab the letter. "Ah....Ah...So Okaa-San invited you to the land eh?" she said with a curious look in her eyes, her appearance should be royal, considering she was the mother of a Queen. It was more of a biker girl, or something you'd wear in the sun. A long black tank-top that showed off her waist and belly button. Her hands, were wrapped in bandages, but not the type of medical bandages, something akin to fighting gloves. to finish off the look she had long black, tight-fitting jean pants, to finish off her curvaceous figure. she pulled down her shirt a bit. While yawning. "Yet, you're still right here huh?" she said, with a slight sarcastic tint in her tone. "Ha...you're probably lost, just like you were last time" she said with a chuckle, moving some of her red hair, which had grew through the years from her face. it wasn't long per say, but it was a bit more longer, then her tomboy style. she waited for ravana's answer, seeing as she pretty much had nothing to do right now. Of course, teasing Ravana was always on her list, especially when he came into her own home land. It made the teasing all the much more fun.

"God no" Ravana said to himself upon hearing a familiar voice coming up from behind him. As if to prove the validity of Murphy's Law, as soon as he had commented on his "good luck", Iori just had to appear. "You know, this is only my second time here, of course I'd get lost" he half shouted in an annoyed tone; obviously not thrilled at the arrival of the girl whom he saw as his rival. As usual, it seemed that Iori was here to annoy the hell out of Ravana; pretty much the basis of their rivalry. Of course, they were both very strong, and ever since he had trained under Misaiko hundreds of years ago, they both seemed to be very competitive about their powers as well. Being slightly younger, Ravana always seemed to be the underdog of their constant fighting, but that only served to make him push himself even farther. However, any thoughts of their rivalry and why he hated her so much were temporarily wiped from his ind as soon as Iori appeared behind him, leaning against his back to grab the letter he held. As usual, this caused Ravana to blush and freeze temporarily before pushing her away; trying to hide his blush. "You know, for a future queen, you're a real nosy bitch" he said in an attempt to hide any of the embarrassment she had caused.
Having changed as well over the years, Ravana now hardly ever wore his Shinigami robes; opting for his much more comfortable casual clothes. His current outfit (and the one he wore most often) consisted of a dark green and black hoodie, a black "Red Hot Chili Peppers" shirt, a pair of darker blue jeans, and a pair of black Vans shoes. This of course, seemed to go almost perfectly well with Iori's more modern (if not a little slutty) outfit, making them both fit together in their appearances. Seizing his chance when Iori was busy mocking him, Ravana quickly snatched the letter from Misaiko back; a look of annoyance still on his face. "You know, one of these days I'm gonna kick your ass and then I'll be the one laughing" he said, quickly shoving the letter into one of his pockets.

Waving her hand at him, while began to talk, she basically blocked out the few parts he said, about him getting lost. "You're always getting, Baka." she said, in a slightly arrogant retort. "but it's alright, it's because you're a baka, that you do things that Usual Baka, would do." she said, with a chuckle. as she laughed at his comment, about her being a future queen, and how nosy she usually could be. "Oh hush, i'll probably mature enough, in time to be valuable on the throne....so you shouldn't worry your little tail about me" she said, she was enjoying how flustered he got, when she confronted him like this. it always made her, crack a few smiles, or two. "sheesh, i swear it's so easy for someone to get under your skin, so much, that i find it cute." she said, with a small giggle, behind that one. after that, she stretched out and moved a few meters back from him, to allow him to gain his composure back from her interruption of the day. When he was apparently trying to make his way. like a lost stranger, or foreigner, walking into a new land, with no idea, of where to go, what to see, what to eat, or anything connected to learning the city. Though she became interested quickly.
She had her back turned to him, only for a moment. However, she heard a comment. "one of these days i'm gonna kick your ass and then i'll be the one laughing " that caught her interest, as she turned around. her feet turning in pivoting motions. "Oh?" she said, as she raised an eyebrow. "you really feel like that eh?" She turned back to him, directly. as she dusted her knees off and stepped a few meters back. "If you want, we can fight here..." she said, a small grin on her face, those were fighting words, and she had such a long time to use, her abilities, on someone. "So, if you want, we can fight. If you win, i'll finally give you some respect, and maybe acknowledge you, as a proper rival." she then clapped her hands together. "However if i win, you'll just stay to being, the same loser, i've always knew. and buy me lunch, too." she said with a fox, like grin. "So what do you say? nay or yay?" she said as she crossed his arms, though she probably didn't even need to ask, as this guy, was never one to turn down her challenges.

A look of annoyance crossed Ravana's face as Iori called him a baka. "You idiot, this is only my second time coming here, of course I don't know my way around" he said in an angry tone before turning his back towards Iori. "Besides, it's been over 400 years since I was last here" he said with his back still to Iori, but in a much calmer tone. After this last comment, Ravana took a second to think back upon the first time he had come to the homeland of the Sugiura. Of course, this was only a quick thought, for almost as soon as he had begun to reminisce, he heard Iori respond to his comment about kicking her ass. Turning around somewhat slowly, a grin was revealed to have crossed Ravana's face. "You know, in the past 400 years or so, I've gone through quite a few changes, and I've become much stronger" he began as he closed his eyes and tilted his head slightly towards the ground, grin still on his face. While it may have seemed that Ravana was being arrogant, he only acted so because of Iori. Every time he had the misfortune to run into her, she would constantly tease and belittle him; it was only natural for him to want to prove himself to here.
(Start Theme Now!)
Slowly raising his head back up, Ravana opened his eyes to look directly at Iori. As he did so, a new emotion could be seen behind them, something that only his enemies ever got to truly see; determination. "Of course that's how I feel, I will prove to you here and now that I have become stronger than you ever thought possible" He said in almost a shout, his adrenaline beginning to rise. "I accept your challenge, Iori Sugiura; but I will not lose" he said in a shout. With that, Ravana drew his Zanpakuto, releasing a moderate blast of reiatsu from his body as he did so. "Now then, bring it!" and with that Ravana quickly lowered himself into a fighting stance, thus giving Iori the first move.

This, would definitely prove to be a fun spar. Iori grinned put her hands to the ground, while arching her back up in the air. Like a sprinter. She, looked forward and grinned. With that, she began to access the area, and element around them. First, she was grateful, that this was open land. So, him getting lost, was perfect. that way, no one would be affected in their brawl, she surely wasn't going to hold out on him, just because he was a pupil of her mother. This fight, was going to be a clash, of pride. Iori's pride was something she always had in high amount. though, lately she had been losing it, lately. to her, pride is what always made her get in trouble, and even caused her to die once. However, for this battle. She wanted to show ravana a thing or two. and too show how much she had also improved. After, taking some time to take in her surroundings, she looked back at him with the eyes of a hunter, ready to shoot down it's prey.
With, a fast sprint, and burst off of the ground she pushed towards him, with a break neck flash of speed. She wasn't very fast, normally. But, by performing certain techniques and acrobatics, she could become quite agile in battle. She was still a few meters away from him, but quickly took a moment to plan out the first attack. She decided on using, a bit of the sugiura magic. She wasn't a master of these arts, but she knew the bare basics, and that was enough for her. After her thought process was completed, she made her way forward, to where she was at least a few inches away from him now, and then used Shinkai. Said to be one of the strongest sugiura magics, it can be used in a defensive manner, or offensive manner. To the very least, in this situation, Since ravana let her attack first, she used it in the offensive fashion. Firing a wave of energy blades, and using her reaitsu to power up the blades, while even going as far as to use her wind element to make their speed even faster, seeing as the resulting momentum of the wind and magic, pushed the magic spell further towards him, within a few seconds. after that, was completed, she jumped back. waiting to see what would be his next move.

Despite all of his tough talk and pride, Ravana knew that this would be one hard fight to win. While he may have always been arguing with Iori over who's stronger, he knew that she was a strong fighter and even respected her abilities; even if he made sure never to show it. In fact, if it weren't for his pride and competitive spirit, Ravana might not have even thought he could win this fight. Of course, being Ravana, he was always more than confident in his own skills, and always willing to take on any challenge, no matter the difficulty. As soon as Iori began her charge, however, any other thoughts were wiped from his mind as he was now fully prepared for the battle; both mentally and physically. Although he had given her the first attack, Ravana had figured that Iori would come charging head-on. Whenever he had seen her fight, it had seemed that Iori preferred a more head on approach. Of course, as soon as Iori began to gather the reiatsu to use her Sugiura magic spell, Ravana knew exactly what to do.
"Bakudō number 73, Tozanshō!" Ravana shouted when Iori was a few yards away. Suddenly, a blue sphere appeared underneath Ravana, and then quickly shot 4 beams up to just above his head, creating an inverted pyramid. As soon as the beams reached their target, the inverted pyramid solidified into a strong shield around Ravana. As the blades created from Iori's spell collided with the barrier they exploded, Ravana remaining same thanks to the barrier. As the dust from the explosions was clearing, and before the barrier went away, Ravana lifted his left hand, his index and middle finger pointed out towards Iori. "Hadō number 4, Byakurai!" Ravana shouted, and as soon as the barrier dissipated, a bolt of light blue lightning shot out from his fingers aimed directly at Iori. Of course, Ravana wasn't content at leaving his attack at just that, and by quickly following the kido spell with a flash step, Ravana appeared in front of Iori only a second after the lightning bolt. With great strength, Ravana lifted his Zanpakuto over his head and brought it down towards Iori with all of hi force; hoping that this combo would catch her by suprise. By now, it was obvious that Ravana was taking this fight as seriously as he took every fight against a true opponent, and wouldn't let up until one of them was unconscious.
