Oshiro Uzuki's Adventures (Episode One)

It was late in the morning when Oshiro wakes up from her slumber. It is once again that she spent last night looking for a job notices in two areas; Megumi Square and Downtown Karakura, but no luck there. The least of her worries was entering poverty because her mother was caring enough to help her with her finances until she gets a job. The big worry she has was ending up with no job at all and be stuck in a carousel of events; a situation where no matter how hard she tries, she ends up back where she is started. Ever since she moved into Megumi Square, she was in debt with her parents or as she feels that it was a debt when her parents assured that she does not have to pay them back until she gets rich, successful and a big future for herself. She groans as she gets out of bed, wearing only her purple underwear set.

What greets her was the cold air that her two layers of comfy blankets protect her from. She shivers and reaches for a refined wool robe and puts it around her body; after that, she puts on slippers to keep her feet from freezing by being on the wooden flooring. Still shaken by the chill of December, Oshiro walks to her refrigerator to search for breakfast or brunch; she does not know what to call it because it is not lunch yet and it is too late for breakfast, and she is too tired to check the clock more accurately. All she knows was it is late morning and that is all. It was three minutes later that despite looking everywhere in kitchen, she realized that she does not have a refrigerator and she does not have a kitchen to be factual!

What she has instead was a mini-refrigerator, a hot plate, and a set of topple-wear. The mini-refrigerator she bought was for drinks, a few cans of light beer and a small assortment of ingredients for Sukiyaki, if she gets lucky to borrow a hotpot from her neighbor in exchange of making some Sukiyaki for them as well. The hot plate was for boiling water that she collects from her bathroom sink. And the set of topple-wear containers are for when she could make a meal for herself and take it with her to work. She has a television, a double bed, an array of cabinets, counters and a desktop computer that she hardly used, because she has no internet yet and she was supposed to call in someone to set it up for her, but her phone line was dead for a week for some odd reason. The apartment is a fixer-upper, but the rent is cheap.

Oshiro sighs when she realizes that she will have to go out again to find something to eat because it is too early to visit her neighbor for Sukiyaki. It is more motivation to get a job soon. She walks to her dresser and outfit herself in a pair of dark slacks and a black tank-top, which she wears a violet turtleneck sweater with white horizontal lines equally spaced and a pair of blue denim jeans over. As final addition to her normal wear, she slips on a black vest. After slipping out of her slippers, she stashes her feet into tubes of white socks and then sheathing her covered feet into a pair of blue and white snow boots. She tries to think of a career to follow since every young student should have a plan or something, but due to her indecisiveness, she is stuck in that phase. She collects her long, white, hooded coat and purse before she goes out of her apartment in a quest to find a job to keep herself afloat.

Upon leaving her apartment high-rise, she puts on her hood to protect her head from the chill of the active winter. She would have taken a shower, but the best she could do is brushing her hair before going out since she does not have a shower or a bathtub as the public bathroom was a block away. But with her being hungry, Oshiro is focused on getting something to eat before doing anything, so she keeps going down the sidewalk relatively towards the cafe owned by Dolce Encanto. As she is walking down, she comes across a red-haired man putting up a poster, which she prompts herself to see what is put up for offers. As she approaches the red-haired man and looks at the poster, she notices it is a hiring sign for the cafe she is going to. She looks at the red-haired man with her mahogany eyes and rosy cheeks from the chill as she asks, "I want to apply or at least keep my options open, sir." She only has been to the cafe twice while she was looking for a job, but she likes the hot coffee there.
