Religion does not have much of a place in this modern world. The big reveal of Shinigami, Hollows, Arrancar, Vizards...and then the myriad of other superfluous additions to what human beings shared their planet with has put a sizeable dent in the whole belief in a higher power. Ignoring that Hinduism is one of the few religions who can actually stand the discovery of these supernatural beings it too has fallen out of favor. Historically speaking, that is the written and commonly known history, Hinduism does not have a singular founder and to a point, this is true. Hinduism, as a whole sprung up as a collaboration of ideas from multiple individuals that fed toward a singular purpose of explaining the unexplainable when it came to this crazy world humans lived in. What history does not teach us is that all of these ideas came from the study of one man, and that one man was currently hurtling through the air dragging an ornery child by the ankle.

To put it gently, very gently, people skills was not Sagumi’s forte and neither was gentleness. None of his students were treated gently over the course of his multiple lives and the world he resided in did not change that. This was a strange case in that he was taking on a student who had...well...no power at the moment. It wasn’t that he hadn’t trained the powerless before, but the rules that governed the universe at the time were far more forgiving toward the powerless. In this world and at this stage there were quite a few punishments for being powerless and Sagumi certainly wasn’t going to rent a vehicle for this adventure. So, unfortunately for the master pupil combo, Sagumi was going to have to carry Kaito. Further unfortunately for Kaito, Sagumi felt it prudent to carry him by his ankle and hang him upside down in the air as he sped across continents. After a relatively brief trip to the mainland, Sagumi landed gracefully at the foot of the of a particularly towering mountain of the Karakoran mountain range, his feet touching down a few meters away from a crystal clear pool of water. Sagumi, less gracefully, dropped Kaito on to the bank of the pond before letting out a big sigh as he checked the skies for Koneko.

“I guess she’ll catch up later, why are you so close to the water? Back up.”

Whether or not he backed up was irrelevant, but it was probably in his best interest to follow directions as Sagumi’s breathing became far deeper and far more rhythmic as a look of concentration donned on his face. His legs spread, his stance widening as he raised his left arm out in front of him, elbow pointed up and forearm angled down, his eyes not leaving the crystal clear water in front of him while he gave Kaito the first explanation he would have before he was more or less abducted out of his room for the trip to India. As was established, Sagumi wasn’t very good with boundaries...or social niceties in general but definitely not boundaries.

“We came on this little field trip to a place of great spiritual power...or some other sort of mumbo jumbo. It doesn’t matter, regardless, you’re here to learn so focus up...Senkugoshoha.”

As the words left his lips, Sagumi appeared as no more than a blur as the couple meter distance between himself and pool was instantly closed and his right arm was thrust forward and down at the water with blinding speed. The sheer force of the thrust sent a massive vacuum of energy and pressure down into the water, immediately evicting the fluid from its resting place. Water sprayed up in to the air around them before proceeding to shower the area around them in a light drizzle, about a mile long area around them. Sagumi’s hands came to his chest before gently stretching down the length of his abdomen, exhaling with each stretching motion before he glanced back at the young and probably now slightly wet Kaito as a slight grin appeared on his face before he nodded toward the now empty basin. A small path was revealed, leading in to a three meter diameter hole in mountainside and Sagumi fully intended to have Kaito and Koneko when she got there, to go in first.

Well Since Kaito was pretty much fucked on the terms of rushing, Sagumi had the fun of pretty much dragging him at high rates of speed and taking to where some people would say it’s very ethnic, well Kaito had no fuckin’ clue where he was going, but the Network was definitely with him, and that was the important thing, the connection to origin. That building force is what drives men’s dreams. Their very existence bends on the fact they had to find what they truly desire in their origins. That’s what makes a man, is that drive to figure out what they are and what they want, and once that comes into play, then one could say that their origin is fulfilled. Sadly, Kaito didn’t know his.

What was power, was he more than meets the eye? He didn’t really believe that, besides the fact that he was very intelligent, skilled with a gun, and able to do some pretty crazy things willfully, but there was no chance in hell he could compete with people like Koneko and Sagumi. He needed to do what he needed to do. Following Sagumi… well more like being dragged by Sagumi, Kaito had his weapons on him because he didn’t trust the area, and there was good reason, He was going to be smack dab in the middle of probably some religious conflict or some shit. He didn’t really know Sagumi is that kind of guy who doesn’t explain his reasons, he just does it.

There’s no rhyme or reason to the man usually, besides sexual tension and needing to do things, but Kaito damn well knew dragging people wasn’t exactly the best way to transport people, but he hadn’t decided on that, and Kaito was just there for the ride, and finally they were reaching the place, but… what the hell was this? A temple? Why in the hell would they go to a fucking temple where people worship. He just wondered why in the hell they were here for? Did Sagumi really lose his mind and decided to go here for a trip or was there a deeper reason than just this. Which seemed more likely, but with Sagumi one could never place their cards safely in one bet or another.

So what was his goal was the thought of Kaito before he spoke. ”Just to clear the air a bit… why in the hell are we here for? I assume you have a reason for this sudden trip.” He said more analytically, instead of his normal I hate this tone. It was more of a curious question that sarcastic, and hopefully he just takes care of business and they can go pretty damn quickly. Kaito had class tomorrow and he couldn’t afford to be late or missing, he’d have hell to pay literally. Cocking the gun back to make sure that the gun is loaded properly and his blade was ready to go, so it was all good on his end. So it was up to Sagumi who took the first step honestly.

Temple in the Mountain(s) Koneko3
Tsukiko Yun, the Survivor Koneko
Shigami, Squad 2, 4-5, Martial Child
Of course she went, as her body was still, almost immobile. In fact, where as Sagumi had roughly yanked the student Kaito out of his beloved home, the male had the oversight to forget one thing.. the perpetually clingy girlfriend of said male. She waited, until the girl awoke, and presented her the letter the woman had written. After all, Koneko made sure to take care of all duties, as she waited for the girl to react. What she didn't expect was a giggle, and then a pale skinned, blonde-white haired girl flopping over her, nuzzling her cleavage, and then suddenly Koneko being in mid air. That was a series of events that Koneko had never experienced, as she suddenly dropped from the sky, towards the ground.

The woman would not land flatly on her behind; although it had been surprising, the martial artist had no compulsion, or issues to do what was needed. Her body twisted, and with a touch, she moved from the air to the ground, in a pair of Shunpo. Her feet touched the ground, and she looked around for a moment, just before water sprinkled onto her. Blinking, she realized a few things; first, she was no longer in Japan. Second, the rain season was not beginning in India, therefore this random shower was probably another one of Sagumi's many social lack of grace. Needless to say, at this point, Koneko had decided that Sagumi decidedly had no idea how people, or things worked in general.

The shinigami let her mortal senses dull, and sought what she aimed for. Yes, Sagumi's veritable fountain of moments allowed her to find him; after all, she had training for the second squad, aiming to enter the tight nit group. Tracking was a simple skill, as her body eased into moving, jumping into the air. She wasn't far; maybe a mile or two. It seemed like Kyirelishihel had decided that Koneko needed a booster; she had been slow perhaps, but she had known the destination. Of course, the need to notify the Sugiura had been important enough for her to drop out of Sagumi's intended race.. leaving Kaito to potential head injuries if Sagumi wasn't careful to avoid cracking the boy's head on something or the other.

The black haired girl then landed beside and behind Sagumi; she had no doubt he heard and sensed her already, as the girl had picked a position off to his side, but remained behind, as courtesy dictated. Her breath exhaled, as she closed her eyes. There was nothing much to say, as she would not even speak. There were limits to her change; her face was still relatively stony, but breathing, and gestures of warning had become more pronounced. Her speaking? It was still a rare shot in order to attain that particularly part of Koneko's self. Well, perhaps it would be explored more, as the girl shifted her body, adjusting all of the.. extra things she had picked up. There were just certain situations she had to be prepared for.

After all, Sagumi was often a horrible judge of circumstances, so did the Tsukkomi of the group think.

Kaito’s questions fell on deaf ears, an occurrence he was probably best off getting used to and while Sagumi did usually do his darnedest to pretend to care about his disciple’s opinions and ideas, there was simply a bigger and much more important thing for Sagumi’s attention to be directed at presently. He wasn’t sure how Koneko had managed to get there so quickly. She was either much faster than Sagumi had given her credit for or...something else had allowed her to arrive so quickly. He’d pursue the answer to that question later though as something even bigger and heavier was more pressing on his mind. Koneko had caught up to them just in time to be victimized by Sagumi revealing the entrance to his mountainous temple network and it had left the woman’s top thoroughly soaked. They needed to admire the wonder that was a soaked, white, top and they needed to admire it long and hard. After a good long stare, the exact time being left to the imagination, Sagumi tore his eyes away and made his way down the now empty basin that was the pond. He imagined Koneko would follow him without much question and Kaito, well, Kaito certainly wasn’t getting home on his own now was he?

As the pair of them would enter through the small stone cropping in the mountain, they would see the majesty that was the closest thing Sagumi had to a hometown in this world. Underneath the specific peak of what humans in the twenty first century referred to Gasherbrum IV, was a gigantic hindu temple. Like many Hindu temples, the inner temple of the Gasherburn IV mountain was pyramidal in nature and seemed to be constructed inside the hollowed out towering piece of mountainous rock. Numerous gopuram, quadrangular and mostly ornamental structures lined the outside the temple area. They were originally simply ornamental, but Sagumi had long ago repurposed most of them as housing structures. The weekends they would be spending at the temple would involve the pair of them sleeping in these buildings. The kid did have school to attend so they were going to have to spend their training sessions in both locations.

“Ah...Dravidian Architecture...those kids really outdid themselves and I somehow feel that every time I look at their work. It’s amazing what the braniacs can do with just the slightest bit of Chi.”
Sagumi gave Kaito a cursory glance before turning to one of the gopurams to the group’s left. “Inside there is where you will be spending your weekends for the foreseeable future. Expect to spend your weekends here in this mountain and your weeks at either school or the dojo in Karakura. Training is your life now.”

Sagumi’s normal jovial tone was absent from that little speech. It was serious, to the point, and uncompromising. Jovial would not get the point across to these two that, despite Kaito effectively being kidnapped, this was the life they had chosen. He was going to give them everything he had to improve their capacity as martial artists and as spiritual beings, he expected similar dedication in return. Slow, the familiar smile crept back on to his face as he pointed at the gopuram he was looking at.

“Now inside there is a change of clothes for you guys. There are closets clearly marked Kaito and Koneko, thankfully enough letter overlap and I didn’t have to work very hard on the nameplates. You will find your training uniforms in there, you can’t really wear those clothes and train properly, you look ridiculous. Now go change and be back here in twenty minutes for your initiation, go go.”

Kaito wasn’t surprised, and when he said a change of clothes and this is where we’re training for a long time, and the difficulties of the training, Kaito just took it as it was. There was no going to stop this, he was dead set on getting them stronger and Kaito silently nodded, as if he felt something deep within him resonate within the area, but he wasn’t sure on what it was. It just felt all strange and mystical, and the recluse felt a bit of freedom from the world and the bonds because he wasn’t being forced to go anywhere else, he had a sense of solace that was perking up currently and it was honestly magical to see this part of the world.

In his world however, he’d note the time crunch and he’d double time it. He was… actually genuinely excited about this. As if he was getting used to what people used to say about him. Walking into the room that was conveniently named with his name he’d take a quick scan and dropped the stuff that he brought and upon seeing the uniforms he sighed out a bit.. He really didn’t like it, because it didn’t flow, well the pants seemed decent enough, but the shirt… it just made him seem like a jackass, a Chinese defecating jackass, and that didn’t set well in his mind, but it was the uniform right. So he’d slip on the uniform pants at the very least.

Staring at the shirt in the mirror he’d sigh a bit in disinterest in wearing it, but he really didn’t want to destroy his other clothes so this would have to do for the most part, and that was something he’d put up with until he could find something else to wear that fit his tastes a bit better. Kaito then brought his weapons with him and came back he had his longsleeve shirt over his training uniform’s top because he was still cold, but it was obvious he would have been ready to shift out of it in a second once necessary. The thoughts that filled his mind were slightly troubling him, it was a dream that he had lately about the things he thought he saw that day.

He was referencing the whole fact he saw something emigrate from them like signals from like a satellite to a receiver, and it distressed him. Why in the hell did he see something like that? It was bothering him a bit then he regained his focus waiting for Koneko and Sagumi’s next instruction. His gun hidden behind the back of his jacket waist band and the sword was sheathed on his back for the time being, he hadn’t actually decided how serious about the weapons thing he was, but he knew that the gun did get him out of some sticky situations, well besides Sagumi’s shit, but that was a story for another day. Taking a breath, and then drops his shirt to the ground taking more of fighting stance to show he was ready.

Yup. That was exactly the type of behavior she expected from the man. Considering how easily the pervert aspects of her training had taken him the first time, she assumed he would do something else as such to her. As he was staring at her chest for a long amount of time; enough for the Second squad trained girl to have noticed, cataloged, and then started to count the amount of times he blinked. Which were far fewer then one would think, as if he was trying to ingrain the sight of her wet shirt into his mind. Unlucky for him, this was one of the few days she had decided to wear support, as she customarily did around this male. So he got a nice few of the working bra under her shirt.

That was before he led them to a temple; the girl did not pay much attention to the male's rambling, instead in-taking this new, different culture. She remembered having learned some arts here and there, from strange travelers; but perhaps, the most attention grabbing thing she saw was very, very undermining. It was just the way certain things were placed; it reminded her of a certain method that they used to do at her old family. She thought she had forgotten about that entire ordeal, but perhaps it had not been forgotten. The girl drew her attention away, refocusing on the two socially handicapped boys, trying to understand their situation. She assumed she would more then likely remain in this place more so then Kaito, from the way Sagumi was speaking.

Why? Because unlike the former, she could easily travel in between places; and as such, it would make sense, if Sagumi wanted to make this their primary training place. However, she could not be sure, for the male held some logic that had weird strains to her own. Now, he had been serious with his tone, something Koneko had not heard since she attempted to end her life. The girl followed Kaito as he stepped away, quietly observing the younger lad. She wasn't quite sure how he would take the strain, but Koneko had lived her life training. Therefore to her, rigorous amounts of no free time was easy. In fact, even in her free time in her squad, she had been training.

It was really all she knew, it was a wonder she wasn't stronger then she is now. Perhaps it was the fact that she had become emotionally stunted, due to several events? This was not a question to cross, as her mind quickly withdrew. She arrived, and noted that Kaito had picked his locker; however.. she noted this was not her room, as her own was not here. Wandering off, she discovered another place.. where the right locker was located. She opened hers, and quickly began to strip her clothing. Noting that there were no under clothing in the uniform, she stripped those two, with no shame.

The uniform per say, was just a halter top, made of interwoven chain mail; there was only a single elastic string to tie around the lower back. The neck was also chain mail, helping to keep the top in place.. relatively. And her bottom was more or less a loincloth, also woven in the chain mail. It had an elastic to keep most of the material at her waist, but held no bottom.. or hid much. In fact, the entire outfit was entirely revealing; it was almost better off to be naked. The girl shifted her body, a little bit off put at the strange weight, but then eased out of the locker room, her hair still tied in her cat like buns. She held no weapons, but her Zanpaktou as in her hand. She was unsure how to sling it, therefore she carried it.. at least for now.

Well, before Sagumi would probably stare at her not so shabby look and body, and then give her aid. And probably despite the fact that Kaito's eyeballs might be popping out of his head, considering that Koneko was not poor in the body department, he would probably wonder what the hell was wrong with Sagumi.. which perhaps a private part of Koneko was questioning.

Success! While Kaito was showcasing some serious insubordination issues, case in point being his lack of proper attire, Koneko’s compliance with his directions was infinitely the more important one, so at the moment, Sagumi was paying virtually no attention whatsoever to the stern little child as he laughably dropped down into what Sagumi assumed young Kaito thought was a valid fighting stance. As Sagumi saw Koneko come up from behind Kaito and toward the pair, his body sprung into action from a seemingly resting point. The man had, in one frighteningly fluid motion, moved past Kaito while simultaneously manipulating his body. Sagumi shifted the boy’s stance, shifting his weight to his back leg while twisting his body so it faced to the side, while he made the boy’s front foot point forward before delivering a slight push to the backside of his front knee and causing it to bed slightly before repeating the process with the boy’s back leg and turning his back foot outwards and perpendicular to the front foot. This whole sequence would be missed if someone so much as blinked at the wrong time and as far as anyone in the room could tell, Sagumi simply ran straight for Koneko’s scantily clad form and wouldn’t be able to notice the speed in which Sagumi shifted Kaito’s stance.

Focusing on the more important things in the room, specifically Koneko’s breasts, Sagumi took a moment to admire his stylistic choices in training attire, and then he took a second moment, and then three, and then four and damn he was a genius. He was all ready to put his tactile talents to the test for further examining his best of best decisions, but he decided he would leave that mystery for later for the time being, especially since Kaito was probably just now recoiling from his sudden repositioning and knowing him, chances were good that he was pretty irate about the rough handling of his stance and for his master’s rather skewed priorities. After spending a good couple, minutes of admiring his work, it was time to get back to the business at hand, before Kaito started screaming, and a soft sigh escaped him before turning his attention toward to the west side of the wall before wrapping his hand around Koneko’s shoulders and walking her toward Kaito.

“I like the enthusiasm there Kaito, and that is an impeccable Dwi Kubi you’re standing in, basic stance of Tae Kwon Do and you have it down masterfully, but we’re not doing any sparring today, soon, I assure you, but not now. Right now you guys have an errand to perform. Through that entry way there you’ll come upon a path that will lead you further in the mountains. At the end of that path, you will find two glowing gems, one for each of you. Bring them back to me and you will have completed your initiation in to the Sagumi school of Sagumi amazingness. I’ll be in the main temple taking the nap of extreme awesomeness, come wake me when you finish.”

Sagumi gave Kaito and Koneko a push toward the doorway, Koneko’s push being more a smack on the bum than a push, thankfully sexual harassment lawsuits don’t quite exist anymore, before Sagumi let out a large yawn and sauntered toward the largest structure in the complex, a contented sigh at that. His jovial expression did little to betray the true nature of the task he had just given them however. They would be facing much, much more challenging tasks on this trial than simply picking up a gem and carrying it back to Sagumi. Their brains would be tested, their bodies would be tested, and their souls would be tested and if they survived, they would be ready for what lied ahead.

When the pair of them came to focus on the task ahead of them and passed through the small entryway, an entryway that would very quickly seem redundant. Before them, stretching straight up to the top of the mountains. The massive structure was to be their first obstacle. Upon closer inspection, they would find a small circular, raised platform at the base of the towering door. Leaning against the door was a large book titled "Almanac of Asian languages." Lining the outside of the platform were ten small, flawlessly cubed stones. On the door, above the platform, they would find lines scribbled in a strange language.

నీవు కలిగివుండుట దశము పాషాణము పరిష్కారమౌట వాటిని లోకి అయిదు గత్తర ఒకడొకడు గత్తర ఫలరసము కలిగివుండుట నలుగురు పాషాణము

It was the key to opening the door, could they figure it out?

So Sagumi had them to read a language that possibly Koneko may had known, but Kaito knew that he didn’t know the language, but he could recognize it. It was some Chinese/Tibetan like language, and he knew that Ene could translate that. So having Ene translate it helped him to understand it, He had to make four rows with five stones in each. Currently there were 10 stones, so how was one supposed to make five rows with four stones each. Which posed a problem how was one supposed to make 5 rows with four stones each. These didn’t look like they were easy to break stones so there must have been a way to arrange the stones in a pattern that would make what he wanted.

Considering the materials they had and the fact it had to have 5 rows of four Kaito began to draw geometric shapes in his head and on the dusty ground a bit until he began to do the math in his head. If you can consider, these aren’t super easy to break stones, but they are definitely light enough to be moved, so which meant they had to be a certain shape that could reach all the points. Points like a star, A star with a certain amount of points could honestly make it work. So how many points, it couldn’t be too large of a star which narrows down the amount of trial and error, but there’s another way to figure this out.

It could have been either a four point of five point star, and once he had drawn the four point star, he then chuckled a bit, it had to be a five point star. This took a minute to figure out because he was thinking in the realm of geometric shapes and he had to simply it down to stones, So there was a stone at each point of the star, which gave the end points, and then he needed to place a stone at each place an intersection of where the lines in theory would go through. Using these facts he chuckled a bit and then looked at Koneko as he took a breath to formulate his thoughts into a simple command now.

”Koneko, we need to make a five point star with one stone for each of the five points, and a stone for each place where an intersection would happen, this will solve the puzzle I’m sure of it. Trust me here on this one.” He was being very assertive at the least as he looked at the stones and began to move the first stone he could grab into the top position of the star so that it faced the door that was currently locked. Once they had finished the puzzle the hope was that the door would open and the next set of tricks and traps would come upon them, well that was at least the thought of Kaito who was quietly analyzing the sitation.
