Minatumi Beach, this place was basically the only location someone could go without being attacked from all sides by an ambush or something along those lines. People made this place safe and kept its purity for tourists and visitors to see. It surely was a place of wonder and delight with crystal blue waters and a calm current that distracted those with a keen sense for beauty. It was also the happy place for one specific girl with a difference.
The girl lay there on the sands of the beach while looking up to the sky. She wasn't looking towards the sun so she wasn't squinting or anything, but happily staring at the blue above. In her mouth was a lollypop, orange in colour and bitten to absolute death. Slowly, she chomped down again and again before realising it actually hurt her teeth a little bit. The girl had an orange tinted hair colour that was very messy. It only grew down to her shoulders but from lying down, there was sand everywhere making it seem as though she had previously been rolling around in it.
Her body wasn't dressed in anything that you wouldn't see at the beach. In fact, she was wearing a yellow coloured bikini and was the only clothing she ever wore. This is because she was an Iramasha and that tail was uncomfortable to have poking through too much clothing. Sticking from the top of her head were two fluffy ears from a fox to match the before mentioned tail. Her teeth were slightly pointed to munch through practically anything.
Still, she lay there staring at the sky with a big grin on her face and the sense of accomplishment. This would probably be from the massive smudge of red, blue and green sand beside her. This sand was emitting a pretty nasty smell of drying paint you would smell when decorating a house, and that is exactly what it was. Her hands and a lot of her body were also covered in a lot of paint but she really didn't care.
So who was this girl? She went by the name of Mirani and didn't care for organisations nor the world around her. She just lived it out to the fullest and kept playing until she couldn't move anymore. This would usually be with her powers over the worlds colours and paint. She is definatly not the strongest person ever to walk the planet, but she does love to make a mess in battle, and obviously out of battle with all this paint on the floor.

Zafaron Uriuc sighed happily to himself as he continued his stroll in the shallows of the beach feeling the cool water swirl around him easily. While the strength of the tide would have bored any competent surfer to tears, Zafaron was completely happy with the calm and quiet. It was his first real break in awhile and he was enjoying it to its fullest. He had known that rising to a lieutenant position in the Gotei would lead to more work, but he had never really understood just how much paperwork he would have to deal with. It seemed that a day never went by where he didn't have some paper to sign or a mission to undertake. His breaks were few and far between and usually weren't even that restful either.
Zafaron glanced down at the sword at his side, the four colorful tassles whipping around lightly in the breeze. While his greatest partner, his zanpakuto Havon was usually also one of the most troublesome person he had to deal with. Constantly urging Zafaron to train and practice more, it was rare that he would actually let Zafaron have an actual break. While it was helpful when he was training for shikai, it had gotten more frustrating over the years, particularly because Havon still had not deemed him ready for Bankai yet. Instead Havon just urged the shinigami lieutenant to fight as often as possible against tougher and tougher foes, using all the extra time he had to prepare for the next fight.
But amazingly it seemed that Havon was willing to actually give his partner a real break for once. After completing a hollow extermination earlier that week Havon had been willing to let Zaf enjoy one of his few vacations without too much pestering. The reason for this wasn't completely apparent to Zafaron, just killing a bunch of hollows was really just a routine event at this point, but he cared little. If it meant being able to relax on a beautiful day like this he was all for it.
He continued his quiet walk basking in the warm light of the sun. It was a tad hot for him as the tall shinigami was still wearing his usual black uniform with his lieutenant badge on one arm, but the cool water made a nice contrast for him. He wiped some sweat off his large black mustache as he partially zoned out into his own peaceful world. However he was quickly thrown out of this calm state as his foot slipped into a hole in the sand nearly sending him face first into the water. Stomping forward to regain his balance he grimaced as he sent up a large amount of water onto his robes. It wasn't like him to zone out so much that he didn't even notice a hole in front of him. Feeling slightly embarrassed despite his usual cool attitude he checked around to see if anyone was around that may have gotten a glimpse of his near miss.
As he scanned the area for any people around his eyes fell upon a slightly peculiar sight. Laying on the sand was a young girl in a bathing suit. While that in itself wasn't particularly unusual, he had to admit he wasn't used to seeing a girl with fox ears and a tail. She seemed to be oblivious to him at the moment but his splashing probably had at least caught her attention. He brought a large hand through his crazed black hair for a moment deciding whether to say hello or just keep walking. Meh, if she wants to say something I will let her talk first. Nodding to himself he continued walking, however at a much slower rate then before glancing ever so often at the girl.

Mirani didnt exactly do anything when she heard a splash nearby. It did pirk up her ears though as she could definately hear it followed by a load of other smaller splashes of someone walking. She smiled to herself but didn't bother looking over. She did however, feel a sense of being watched. So she quickly confirmed her feeling by speaking without looking. "You know, it's not nice to stare at someone, especially at the beach and even more so if they're just wearing a bikini.
Mirani giggled to herself and conjured a small sphere of rotating red paint in her hand. She giggled even more as she threw it lazily towards the sound of splashing. The small ball burst outwards sending red paint everywhere. The water was now tinted red a bit, the sands were red and it wouldnt be surprising if the wandering guy got hit too.
Mirani then decided it was time to clean up. She pulled herself to her elbows before yanking her body up to a sitting position. Quickly after that, she spun her legs around and crawled towards the water. Rather than going into deep water, she stayed in the shallow section and just rolled about like some cheerful dog in a puddle. However, if this was any deeper, she would be shitting herself and flailing like a magicarp out of water. Mirani absolutely detestes water and its one of her biggest fears. That, and running out of food to eat.
Without actually realising it, Mirani was now quite cloe to the feet of the guy that was walking along. Still with the shreded lollypop in her mouth, she looked up surprised and then kinda thought about her decency. "I sure hope my swimsuit is still on"

Zafaron looked back at the "young" girl as she addressed him. She at least looked young, but as he had learned that didn't really mean much with most of the spiritual races. Heck, he was actually over five hundred years old despite only looking in his twenties. For all he knew she could be older then him. Sometimes he wasn't sure how to feel about that.
He was about to reply that he hadn't been staring and had just been making sure he was aware of his surroundings when she suddenly conjured... something in her hands. At first glance he couldn't tell what it was. It was small, spherical, red, and.... his eyes widened as she suddenly threw it in his general direction, FLYING AT HIM! He jumped back a few paces as the ball exploded sending paint everywhere.
As he jumped back he protected his face with his arm. He hadn't expected paint to be flying at him when the ball exploded, he had expected something closer to an actual attack, but he was glad he had protected his face anyway. If he had gotten paint in his mustache he would have probably had to rage for a bit. He usually didn't care that much about his appearance but he put a lot of time into keeping his mustache neat and trimmed. Having it turned red was not something he wanted to deal with.
He looked down to survey the damage. He had paint all over his clothes and on his arms. Would be frustrating to have to clean it all up but he figured it would be better than if a fireball was thrown at him. He grimaced as suddenly Havon suddenly roaring with laughter. It seemed that while Havon was content to remain quiet for most of the day, having Zafaron covered in paint was too much for him to not laugh.
Glaring at his sword for a moment Zafaron watched as the young girl started to roll around in the water. As he was about to say something his mind was filled with another torrent of laughter. Finally getting irritated at his noisy zan who was still laughing about the whole situation he pulled out his sword. With a half-smile he started wiping the paint on his arms onto the sealed zanpakuto. Immediately the laughter was silenced to be replaced by a torrent of cusses. Victorious in that exchange with his sword, he finally looked back at the girl who had ended up at his feet.
As he once again sheathed the now bright red sword Zafaron raised an eyebrow at the girl. "You greet people with a paint ball all the time like this?" He cracked his neck to the side as he wiped some of the paint off his clothes while the rest was already drying. "Can I assume this is water soluble and that I won't have to get new clothes? Oh, and since I am asking questions anyway, would you be kind enough to let me know who just covered me in paint? Want to at least have a name when I am asked by my superiors why I look like this.

The girl hardly paid any attention to what she was being asked. After all, her ears were under the water so all she could hear were strange mumbles that could originate from aliens or an angry dog. Instead of replying, Mirani put her pointing finger into her mouth and took a lot of thought into her mind. Then, with all her might she made a pop sound by pulling her finger out from her cheek. Any child would find this amusing and Mirani was one of them. She smiled and giggled to herself before slowly sitting up in the water. As she did though, the last question was actually heard.
"Oh... Does that mean ill get in twubble?" Mirani looked rather concerned about what he had just said and didn't want to be told off for doing what she does best. "I suppose throwing that was a bit mean... naughty Mirani, Naughty" She then proceeded to take her nose as if she was beating it into submission but lightly so it wasn't violent at all. Then she looked back up at the guy. "You know..." Leaning over to his garbs, she flicked her finger around them rather awkwardly and invading his personal space. "Its best to be happy." She then leaned back to show she had just painted a yellow smiley face blowing raspberries on his lower hakama. "No... that wont do" She looked unhappy about her creation, so she threw red paint over it from her fingertips in disgust. "The tongue was meant to be red..."
