{Mystery Thread/Open} A solitary note left at Hanako's Pub's locked door
Tue Aug 27, 2013 12:05 pm
Artist: Nobuo Uematsu - Song: Off the Edge of Despair - Word Count: 919
It was a few days after she left four of her children to the Iramasha to be raised like them and left Hideki in the hands of Shadin and his clan, the Yuudeshi. Many thoughts come and go like a whirlwind of confusion as Hanako carries on with her management of her pub. But in the end, it was to no avail. She has a hard time remembering her husband’s birthday and the birthday of her children as news of the world cycle through her television just off above her bar table. As she notices, her ‘express cleaning’ is getting slower and more cumbersome, despite her new employee, Yoruichi Shihouin was helping. She knew that she is not getting older because she was maintaining her youth through passive rejuvenation, a perk of her powers. She continues to think to herself…How could I keep going on like this? A teardrop trickles down her left cheek as more wells up in her eyes before being wiped off by her right forearm. Perhaps Koichi has no need of me anymore. To him, all I do is just get in his way and since I bore his children, I’m just expendable. They do say that Iramasha are unpredictable like the energy of chaos that they control. Maybe I’m just too naïve to see that Koichi only sees me as a filler for his life, someone to replace another who is dear to him. No, I can’t be this naïve and … What is the reason for even marrying him when I have a hard time remembering his birthday or what his favorite meals? We haven’t even sat down and try to talk and relate to each other like normal couples would. A blind marriage and I fell into it; what a fool I am.
Upon closing hours, Hanako gives Yoruichi her paycheck and extra for being a great help as she locks up the pub and goes upstairs to her quiet home. The next morning, early patrons came to see the pub no longer being lit up as an Iramasha agent that works for Koichi and Kabuto appears at the rooftop to continue his usual duty of making sure Hanako is still safe through observation. What was strange to the agent is that the pub is not lit up on its usual timeframe. The patrons gather around the door because one man found a piece of paper tucked almost under the front entrance. The agent drops down and lands quietly before blending himself among the patrons as they are passing the paper about since each of them are having trouble reading it without feeling upset about it.
Eventually the agent gets his hands on the paper and reads it studiously. He mutters about his lord not liking this and passes the paper to the next patron before using a gateway to the Iramasha Island to pass his emergency report to Kabuto and then Koichi. To those who came to this pub, they would find themselves out in front of it and can clearly see it as dark and quiet as the patrons are passing the paper about, double-taking and triple-taking, trying to take in an unusual news written into it, but having trouble doing so since they have been in the pub so frequently. Entering the pub seems to only be done through warping or teleporting because simply phasing will be seen to the patrons as a breaking-and-entering, thus it has to be done in stealth to avoid causing a miniature riot of protective patrons and alerting people like Shadin and members of the defending forces of Karakura City.
T-H-E N-O-T-E
- Spoiler:
- Patrons and Employee of Hanako’s Pub,
As many or not much have noticed while being here, I was not hitting rock bottom in finances, but in mental health due to the stress that warped it. I did not bother to ask for help, because it is more trouble for business than it is needed and this pub is meant for being at home and comfortable, not being at a therapy session. So it comes to a tragic suspension of Hanako’s Pub and my leave from Karakura Central. To prevent pursuers putting more stress on me, I did not write down where I would be going and what I would be doing. I do not know if I would be able to return or not, but as along I have these feelings of dread, it will only destroy me if I keep going like this problem is manageable.
Goodbye,
Hanako Iramasha Junior
Proprietress of Hanako’s Pub
Option B
- Spoiler:
- If anyone did enter, they would find Hanako’s packs, gears and provisions are taken perceivably by Hanako upon her leaving. Most notably of the clues was the sight of her advanced mobile phone, a gift from Shadin Yuudeshi resting on the coffee table in front of her sectional couch, across from the very large wall-mounted flat-screen monitor used for television and computer work. Either of the two may have information regarding her future whereabouts, but the password is needed to access either of them. It is likely that even if Hanako as good memory, she would leave a clue to the two passwords, one for each of the two electronics mentioned earlier.
Hanako is no longer in Karakura Central and is no longer in this thread, but this remains open for others to react and role-play it out as I will still continues, but provides results for interacting with Hanako’s things. Always check your PM for the search results and use that information given as part of your newer posts.
