Artist: Nobuo Uematsu - Song: Off the Edge of Despair - Word Count: 919
It was a few days after she left four of her children to the Iramasha to be raised like them and left Hideki in the hands of Shadin and his clan, the Yuudeshi. Many thoughts come and go like a whirlwind of confusion as Hanako carries on with her management of her pub. But in the end, it was to no avail. She has a hard time remembering her husband’s birthday and the birthday of her children as news of the world cycle through her television just off above her bar table. As she notices, her ‘express cleaning’ is getting slower and more cumbersome, despite her new employee, Yoruichi Shihouin was helping. She knew that she is not getting older because she was maintaining her youth through passive rejuvenation, a perk of her powers. She continues to think to herself…

How could I keep going on like this? A teardrop trickles down her left cheek as more wells up in her eyes before being wiped off by her right forearm. Perhaps Koichi has no need of me anymore. To him, all I do is just get in his way and since I bore his children, I’m just expendable. They do say that Iramasha are unpredictable like the energy of chaos that they control. Maybe I’m just too naïve to see that Koichi only sees me as a filler for his life, someone to replace another who is dear to him. No, I can’t be this naïve and … What is the reason for even marrying him when I have a hard time remembering his birthday or what his favorite meals? We haven’t even sat down and try to talk and relate to each other like normal couples would. A blind marriage and I fell into it; what a fool I am.

Upon closing hours, Hanako gives Yoruichi her paycheck and extra for being a great help as she locks up the pub and goes upstairs to her quiet home. The next morning, early patrons came to see the pub no longer being lit up as an Iramasha agent that works for Koichi and Kabuto appears at the rooftop to continue his usual duty of making sure Hanako is still safe through observation. What was strange to the agent is that the pub is not lit up on its usual timeframe. The patrons gather around the door because one man found a piece of paper tucked almost under the front entrance. The agent drops down and lands quietly before blending himself among the patrons as they are passing the paper about since each of them are having trouble reading it without feeling upset about it.

Eventually the agent gets his hands on the paper and reads it studiously. He mutters about his lord not liking this and passes the paper to the next patron before using a gateway to the Iramasha Island to pass his emergency report to Kabuto and then Koichi. To those who came to this pub, they would find themselves out in front of it and can clearly see it as dark and quiet as the patrons are passing the paper about, double-taking and triple-taking, trying to take in an unusual news written into it, but having trouble doing so since they have been in the pub so frequently. Entering the pub seems to only be done through warping or teleporting because simply phasing will be seen to the patrons as a breaking-and-entering, thus it has to be done in stealth to avoid causing a miniature riot of protective patrons and alerting people like Shadin and members of the defending forces of Karakura City.

"I took roleplaying and storytelling with a live-and-let-live attitude, thus the idea of a character doing something out-of-character would add more to the character than letting it stagnate into an archetype or a character. Here: A rapid change to a character must be met with an in-the-moment conflict. Ta-da! A rule to live by!"

Andrew had been keeping his eye on the cero he had created, watching it slowly take shape of the signature tart he had been known to wield before his stomach started to rumble. He knew that he was pretty far from the kitchen in the vizard corp and lacking the desire to actually go back just yet he had decided to try the pub once more to get a quick bite before reporting back in. He remembered being in the pub and the food was pretty good. He poked his head in the door, seeing that there was something strange going on. It was quiet, almost as if it was a wake before seeing a note being passed around by the patrons. Eventually the paper went to him, studying it carefully. From what he had read, he didn't really blame her when it came to stress hitting someone pretty hard. In a way he could relate, especially when it came to his career as a shinigami and the first few years having to adjust being a vizard.

Lifting his head and passing the paper along to the next person, he slipped into the shadows once again. He might have not had stealth in his skill set, but learning how to hide was the first thing he had to do when he got of dodge and away from the Soul Society when he got control of his inner hollow the first time. He moved to the back of the pub, using his garganta to slip into the building and started to look around. The pub definitely silent as he looked at some of the items in the pub. He looked at her phone first, poking it to see a password being needed. Giving a quizzical look he started to look around for some kind of clue to her password. There had to be something in this room that would be out of the ordinary, a variation in the set pattern that she would possibly have to give him a small glimpse into her mind.
