Osamerukami

Basically, the original Osamerukami, who died several eons ago, had very potent energy, unknown whether it was chi, reiryoku, chaos energy, etc.. Upon his death, his power was so great, that his vast, rather, gargantuan reserves in energy lingered in the realms. The story of the Osamerukamis go, that anyone who had absorbed the distorted energy, regardless of age or race, would inherently gain powers similar to the original's: Spatial Distortion.

Some people have absorbed it before birth, some afterwards, and some even have forgotten ancestors that were an Osamerukami, or had absorbed the distorted energy, passing it on to their offspring.

There are some common traits among those who have absorbed the distorted energy before birth, besides Spatial Distortion abilities: obviously, that would be due to the energy being able to manifest much earlier on. Such abilities or traits could be gained by a person who has had Osamerukami powers for an extremely long time, but is far less likely than those who had been born with the energy.

Some common traits include animistic features, such as heightened senses far above the norm for most their race, like incredibly good eyes, or a potent 6th sense, verging "precognition". Another animistic trait may be durable skin, like that of lizards, or phenomenal stamina, like a penguin.

A Variation of Spatial Distortion can be many things, from molecular combustion, essentially being fire manipulation, or spatial transcendency nearly, such as Reality Warping, or Spacial Displacement. Spatial Distortion can refer to so many things, it's ridiculous.

One of the best things about the Osamerukamis, is freedom in character creation. Because the only things all of them in common is absorbing energy from so freaking long ago, they don't have many things forcing them to be this or that. Freedom of nearly everything, including race, age, powers, capabilities, etc..

(Note: all the powers that have been listed in this post are all powers another person has taken; please don't take them, because all though nothing prevents two or more people from having same or similar distortion abilities, that just sorta sucks, and isn't very much of a nice thing to do.)

Some powers that have been taken. this portion will be updated often. This includes WIP or unchecked characters, cause even though the characters may not be in yet, if another person was to use the same power and get approved first, well yeah:

Spatial Warping: used by Ryuji(Kururai). The user may select any to points in time, and the area between the two points warp, effecting the user when passing through, or inanimate objects. The effects are increased momentum. As more mass is added into the object, so is the weight, and as velocity is increased, the faster the object will go in the relative direction.

Spatial Displacement: used by Tamari Osamerukami (Tina). basically, she can move an object or distort the placement of a form of matter into another place, or extend the placement. A very broad ability that could have several applications.

Force Manipulation: Ryuo (Kururai) can control 'force' itself, in terms of physics, like gravity or electromagnetism. Also a broad ability, with many possibilities, however, the ability does not extend to already active forces. The forces must be made by Ryuo herself, however, the selected force can be expanded or extended, reformed even.

Light Manipulation: Kairi (Kururai) can redirect light, bouncing it off of her, or shining in in a different direction. Several possible applications, as it is broad, but not quite as broad as force manipulation or Spatial Displacement, as it does have specifications.

Charge Manipulation: Lei-long (Kururai) can manipulate the charge of an atom that already has a definite charge. If it has a zero charge, then Lei-long has no control over it. Not only the charge of the atom(s), but the flow of the atoms with charges, therefore allowing her to mimic the direction in which a charge may flow, similar to lightning bolts. Has many applications.

remember: though Osamerukamis don't necessarily have to have any relations with each other, all of them should feel a sense of familiarity with each other, if they were to meet. Like a feeling that they've met before, deja vu if you will.

Though I don't care too much who makes an Osamerukami, I would appreciate it if you identified and reported the creation of one, even when they haven't been posted or anything yet.
