Hulk. Hulk can beat superman(given the right conditions), is nigh-indestructible, and the angrier he gets will make him more powerful. He gets angry when he's hit, and Goku will want hulk at his best. Goku is, in all honesty, his own defeat most of the time.

No, Hulk cannot defeat Superman. Superman can sneeze and blow away galaxies, and can fly into Sol and become essentially all powerful.

More on point, while the Hulk is essentially invincible, Goku can blow up planets as easily as he can swat flies, and that's when he had a power level of only 8k~. I say standstill.

By the way, this fight is not. completely ridiculous, but accurately measuring who is stronger is impossible.

We debated this in the Xat. But to give some insight;

Goku wouldn't blow up planets. He can, for sure, but he wouldn't....also that would kill him too. He can't instant away as he needs to be focused. He can't focus while in a fight, nor while he's choking in space. Goku would want The Hulk at his strongest. Assuming this is the Bruce Banner that can turn into The Hulk willingly, he would tell Goku not to make him angry, he wouldn't like him when he was angry.

Goku, on multiple occasions, hasn't taken some fights seriously. He would probably make The Hulk angry on purpose, and that would lead to a snowball effect. This is also SSJ1 Goku, so Goku at the Freeza Arc. So his cap in power level, if that even matters, would be 1 million. ( I only say this because, if he had any higher forms, why not use them?) His punches while powerful, I don't see piercing Hulks uber durable skin that withstood FALLING from a (high as fuck) Helicopter onto cement! (using movie hulk). Thus any punch would just make him angry, and thus more powerful.

In the first post, I wrote "SSJ1 Goku(DBGT Adult)", as in, how powerful he would be in SSJ1 state during the DBGT series as an adult. base form Goku was as strong, most likely stronger than SSJ3 Goku in 'murica's DBZK. Furthermore, Goku's fallen larger distances to the floor as compared to Hulk, and shown in one of the movies where Hulk ends up on a different planet, Hulk is susceptible to being shocked. I think it was called Planet Hulk or something. Also, Goku still can use the Destructo Disk, which is said to be able to cut anything except for Cell's neck and Vinegar (While only krillin was using it).

Now, to defend Hulk's side; current hulk would refer to Bruce Banner Hulk. Hulk does have nigh vulnerability to most attacks, but as shown in the Incredible Hulk movie in 2000-something, his skin was pierced by the abomination, which had nearly the same strength as Hulk. It is said that hulk had limitless strength, so it's pretty hard to guess, however, it's been stated that Superman probably has more strength than Hulk, which denies limitless strength. As such, Goku could still pierce Hulk's skin (probably using Ki to sharpen his attacks of some sort). Also, while basic personality would still be retained, I'd assume that if Hulk and Goku were to verse each other, it would be in a situation where they actually HAD to fight each other. As such, assuming that Hulk went all out, the battle would come at a predicament: who would kill who first.

Goku in SSJ4 has the strength to lift a few sextillion tons, as showed by screw attack, so assuming that Goku was an adult in SSJ1 during DBGT, we can probably say Goku could lift a few hundred thousand tons. Hulk's power rises with anger, and seeing as how Goku would anger hulk (most definitely), Hulk's strength could match and probably become greater than Goku.

Now, Goku is far faster than Hulk, being able to go a few machs (about 8-9) in base form (technically, Goku could go mach 3 in the original DB series (4 after images)). So, Hulk most likely couldn't hit Goku, but Goku couldn't match Hulk's strength and invulnerability. As such, it depends on not physical stats.

Just a little extra thing to add:

Technically, Goku's power could increase with anger as well. When teaching Gohan how to go SSJ1, Goku said that anger was necessary, and when Goku himself went SSJ1, it was because he reached a new level of anger; straight up ready to kill you anger.

Even till, in that very same Screw Attack video, we saw that goku, no matter what even in blind rage, wants his opponent at full strength. Even with the mind set that Goku had to defend the earth because superman was an alien, and it was just a matter of time before he destroyed the planet (he wasn't wrong) but even within all of that, he wanted him at HIS STRONGEST. Of course that was all scripted, but still it was still in character for him. but saying that because Abomination pierced his skin and he probably doesn't have limitless strength because super man is stronger isn't fair.

Superman literally has limitless strength, so that in theory, also means The Hulk has limitless strength. I still stand by my point that The Hulk would beat Superman.

I never denied that Goku would want Hulk at full strength. Even in my last post, I stated that if this battle were to happen, it would be Hulk going all out. Also, Superman VS Hulk would be for a different thread (I don't want to make that. I do vs threads that have people at near equal capabilities).

Gamma Radiation is essentially high frequency light. Ki is pure energy generated from life (or vise versa; ki is what allows things to possess life. I dunno). As such, Goku's most prominent power source would be superior to Hulk's power source. Just a little input; not too sure how that would effect a Goku VS Hulk battle.

About the Limitless strength thing; so I mispoke and I apologise. However, unlimited strength isn't always applicable, as the ground beneath him must be able to deal with the strength as well (basic physics blah blah blah). SO, assuming the fight was... Well let's say that the fight was on Earth in a secluded area. Hulk's unlimited strength can be applied only to an extent, as the ground beneath doesn't have unlimited durability.

So let's continue the battle with that mindset :3
