Stella would nod as she did feel a bit better at least knowing the bare basics of ehsf happened to her people. Now she was realizing that maybe she can't be friends with everyone? Especially if the shinigami truly wanted to take her out if she was alone. She would feel the pat on her back as she would look at the man, and she would give him a nod as she would stand up and gesture for him to lead the way.

"You can lead the way. I just wanna get a dress."

She would admit quietly to herself as she would begin following tjenman..She hoped that he didn't think og this as wasted time.

Despite his words, he could tell by her tone and choice of words that she wasn't too terribly convinced. Nevertheless, a hand slipped behind her, pressing against her back as Johann gently pushed her along. There was no immediate danger in the City of Lights, but, he certainly wanted to be sure that she was still able to follow. Perhaps there was something else beneath the surface that had her concerned -- but, should she wish to discuss it, he would be all ears.

"Is there anything in particular you're looking for? Is it for formal? Something light for the warmer months?"

It always helped to have an idea of what you wanted going in, both one's self and the employee, should one need assistance. But, he didn't intend to say that to her outright. She was a grown woman, and he had no desire to treat her as anything lesser. Plus, the store was getting close -- another reason he wanted to be sure that she had an idea of what she was looking for.

Stella would think about it as they arrived in the store. Afterall he was an old man, and on top of him being rather handsome for 70 she assumed he had married in his younger years, or at the very least she would be shocked if it he didn't. She'd smile as she would enter the store and be greated with all sorts of different dresses. As the questions would be asked Stella would realize she hadn't really thought about that all that much yet.

"I think I'd like something more formal. something that I could wear to dances. It's one of the hobbies i like doing even if I'm not great at it myself.

Stella would admit as it seemed now even more obvious that he was a good man. Seemed like it wasn't his first time dress shopping and he was thankful for it. Perhaps she reminded him of someone, but she would allow that thought to fade away as she didn't want to pry.

"So Mr. Johann, do you think I should go for a duller red so that the color Matches my hair?

Pushing if father she trusted his opinion so she would ask what he thought. Even if he disagreed she just wanted to hear more of his thoughts.

Something formal for dances? Hmm, well, that did narrow it down a bit, though from raising his late daughters and granddaughters, he knew that there were still many, many options for dresses. Chuckling softly at the comment, he gently patted the young lady on the head.

"Nothing wrong with enjoying something, even if it's not something you're the best at. I enjoy playing piano, but I'm certainly no Mozart. Hmm, now, let's see here..."

He took a moment to look Stella up and down proper, taking note of her hair and eyes in particular. Something a bit darker that could go well with her hair, as well as standing out on its own, to a respectable degree.

"Perhaps a wine red could work? A bit dark, but still colorful enough to match well with your hair. In addition, I think it would add a tad bit of sophistication and elegance, reflective of a formal dance. But, regardless of that, it should be something that you like and would enjoy wearing, above all else, my dear."

Stella would look around the store as she would spot a dress that fits the description that he would give her. She'd nod as she would feel the dress and she'd smile. Knowing that this is the one she wanted to get, so she would pull it off the rack as she'd turn to the old man.

"Yeah, I like this one alot. I think red fits me and it matches my hair so it's really easy for me to wear. "

As she would walk over to a mirror and hold the dress up to her neck as she would smile at herself in the mirror. Then she'd turn to Johann as she would address the fact that he had helped her.

"Thanks alot for helping me out Johann. Is there anything that I could potentially help you out with to return the favor?"

Johann stood nearby as Stella went off to find a dress, smiling as he watched her. Ah, this was nostalgic, so often like the times when his children were so excited to find something to wear for a special event, for a date, or to support their siblings when they were wed. Simpler times that part of him desperately longed for -- even if for just one more day.

That was why he rose to fight for this world yet again, to make sure that the new generation could have those halcyon days, to make up for the mistakes that he had made in the past -- to show that he was no longer that man. To, perhaps, finally die without any regrets.

A hint of melancholic nostalgia passed over the elder's face, only to fade as Stella brought him back to reality. He blinked a few times, processing her sudden gratitude, before smiling and chuckling softly. Some would say that she was doing right in her desire to respect and repay her elders -- but, for Johann, he was a man that had hardly earned such a luxury.

"Oh, that's hardly necessary, my dear. But, if you insist, continue to be a good, upright young lady. That's all an old man like me could ask for. Hurry along now, you can't exactly wear such a lovely dress if you don't pay for it."

Stella would nod as she would give him a bright toothy smile before spinning around on her heel and making her way to the front. After standing in line for a few minutes she would pay for it as she'd then make her way back to the old man as she carried a bag with her. Just to show that she had I fact paid and that he wasn't stuck there if he didn't want to be.

"Alright, I'm done shopping Johann you can head out if you need to. Thank you for helping me out though. I greatly appreciate it, and was wondering if you know any quick ways back to the train statiion?"

Johann stood quietly near the door as she went up front to pay, smiling as she returned, carrying a bag. As she mentioned that she was done there, Johann reached out and gently patted the girl on the head. He hoped, with all his heart, that she would be able to keep such kindness when the world would challenge and test her, unforgiving and uncaring.

"I'm just glad I was able to help you out, my dear. I'll be heading off now, though. Still have a few errands to run today myself, after all. Quick ways back to the train station, though, hm...well, besides the way we came, there aren't any shortcuts that I know of. However...why not use this opportunity to refine your Steigen a bit more? Additional training never hurts, after all."

A light smile came to his face as he opened the door to step outside. Another old habit that never would pass, his desire and insistence for others to hone and refine their skills in practical efforts, when possible. It allowed them to keep up with their training and practice, as well as potentially give inspiration for further development, should they let their minds and creativity run wild.
