- Appearance Description: Kururai looks similar to my signature face claim, GGO Kirito. But rather, instead of the usual black hair and eyes, Kururai possesses hella dark violet eyes and hair. Also, the clothes that Kururai wears is made up of Kirito's traditional black swordsman coat combined with the chestplate from GGO strapped underneath the coat. As usual, Kururai possesses Kirito's usual black shirt and pants underneath, with boots as well.

Some differences include longer hair that possesses more volume, and slightly taller. Kururai is 5'10 and 111 lbs, with a slender body and longer eyelashes. Kururai's appearance is truly indistinguishable between whether Kururai is a guy or a girl. Kururai is also seen often wearing an incredible amount of sheathes, most of them varying in shape. The sheathes are placed all around Kururai's body; back, hips, waist, etc..

- Personality: Kururai's personality has a multitude of aspects.

Deceptive:
Kururai is incredibly deceptive. Like, seriously; Kururai has told the whole truth only twice in the past 200 years, exluding reports to superiors, but even then, Kururai resisted giving all information to the superiors (exceptions include trusted superiors, such as perhaps Shadin, if allowed). Deception is Kururai's forte, half of the time deceit is completely natural and unintentional. It's literally a habit.

Sarcastic:
Although not entirely and constantly sarcastic, Kururai gives so much sass or attitude when talking to another, and yet, Kururai retains polite mannerisms. For example, “I am truly sorry sir, I hadn't expected my secondary form to force you to demonstrate such irrational battle strategy. You have my apologies.”

Cynical:
Kururai is cynical, but that does not mean Kururai lacks trust entirely. Kururai is willing to give Kururai's own life to a trusted person (like Shadin, and generally others of the Yayjuu). Other than that, Kururai displays little to entirely nonexistent trust in anyone not closer than 'close long-term friend', which would be someone Kururai is overly familiar with, being that Kururai has 'hung out' with the person at least a dozen times and have properly bonded. This is of course not a definite fact, as Kururai has trusted acquaintance without such familiarity (perhaps superiors in the Yayjuu).

Intellect:
Not really much of a part of his personality as it is Kururai's traits, but nevertheless, the fact still stands that Kururai is a highly intellectual being. Scoring a 203 on an IQ test when he was 11 (human), Kururai further developed it without external use (phantom tech and other ways of increasing brain function). Reason for that was mainly being born (as a human) before such things happened. With that, he was truly a genius, but because of his cynical trait, he wasn't exactly highly social, so people would hardly know how smart he was.

Lazy:
Kururai is for the most part lazy. Not to say that he's reluctant to get the job done and procrastinates (the former pertains to Kururai, not the latter however), but rather, he prefers things to be done simply and easily. As such, if given an assignment, he quickly gets it over with in as little effort as possible while still attaining the maximum outcome. Of course, that doesn't always go well, but he still tries to get 100% grade with 1% effort. Because of this, Kururai is extremely efficient, making him suitable for missions with multiple steps, as he would naturally find a quicker way to do so and attempt to achieve the best outcome with the least amount of steps.

- Likes: Kururai likes human entertainment; specifically ones of nerdier origin, for example, comics animation and games. Kururai's favorite food and drink is bacon, cheese, and pure grain alcohol. Kururai has an abnormal affinity for swords; shown in the Appearance description portion of this Char App, Kururai would oftent imes have multiple sheathes placed all around Kururai's body.

- Dislikes: Kururai abhors being dirtied and being hurt. Kururai's durability is ridiculously low (probably beginner) and cannot handle pain very well. Also, Kururai hates vegetables, save for a few (cucumbers, silantro, lettuce, spinach)

History:

In the year 20194 BC, a boy was born with an innate ability of energy manipulation. During that age, he was praised as a child of a higher being; a direct creation of God. Soon after, there were others similar to him, however, they never reached such power that he possessed; it was as if there full ability wasn't 'Awakened' completely. The boy was named Kaymutasufa. This boy was filled with pride and ruled the lands, governing as if he was a God, instead of being hailed as simply the child of one. His egotistical ways ended swiftly, as another being of similar stature, possessing the same 'Awakened' state as he, destroyed Kaymutasufa. With anger and the desire to live, the lingering attachments to the physical realm kept Kaymutasufa there. Many of the other beings that were like him were able to 'see' Kaymutasufa, whereas ordinary beings could not. Those of similar origins had preached his existence, claiming that he was truly a god and was eternal, however, his appearance had changed dramatically. Instead of having the same body, Kaymutasufa donned a disgusting mask. Because of this, Kaymutasufa was praised as a malevolent god. Several people gave him offerings and such, including human lives, and because of this, it attracted the attention of many other extraordinary beings; specifically, those of the Spiritual Realms. This is when the Soul Society purified his soul, both from the hollow side of him and the deeds he may have committed that may be deemed sinful. However, prior to the purification, Kaymutasufa's desire to stay in the physical was so strong, he drove himself to rip apart the mask from his head, in an attempt to deceive the soul society to think he was an ordinary being, since under the mask, a humane face was shown. Of course, this didn't work, but he was granted even more power, becoming an arrancar. Not only this, but he recalled the powers he held as a human being, and the ability to utilise such powers came back to him. At that point, he possessed the powers of a fully awakened chi user as well as arrancar abilities. This attracted more and more attention, to the point of a massive hunt that was coordinated to simply end Kaymutasufa in any way possible. Eventually, Kaymutasufa reached Resurrección, however, during the Resurrección, the side affect was an entirely different personality. This personality was aware that, if Resurrección was to end, he would disappear. This personality desired to live just as much as Kaymutasufa, and so, he attempted to take complete control and stay in the Resurrección state indefinitely. This, of course, was infallible, and as such, he thought of an alternative way to survive; split his soul. He searched for many years, suffering while retaining a Resurrección state. Eventually, he found a blade that, if he was cut, would clone, or replicate himself. As such, Kaymutasufa hacked at himself, splitting the two personalities. However, as a side effect of staying in Resurrección state as well as having his soul, and essentially powers, split, he could never attain the Resurrección state ever again. Thus, when resulting in facing a person of the zero division, he was quickly defeated. To his luck, he was defeated with a Zanpakutō, and thus, purified. Because of that, he was able to be sent into soul society. From there, he realised, his once arrogant self came at a price. From there, the wisdom he had gained helped him dramatically, and as a result, his current personality overall changed. He became much more isolated and deceptive. When attaining a shikai, he refused to reveal so; only to a select few that he felt he could trust. However, when being sent on a mission with a relatively close friend, they confronted a being far more powerful than themselves (on accident of course), and as a result, his friend betrayed him and ran away, leaving Kaymutasufa to die. From then, he was reincarnated as a human on earth. This time, it was 17340 BC. He lived a relatively easy life, but after his life was threatened and family slaughtered, for trivial reasons such as vengeance on the town Kaymutasufa lived in, he once again awakened his innate ability of chi manipulation. As such, Kaymutasufa began to recall many memories of past lives, including his time as a shinigami. Because the ability of Chi manipulation lingered in Kaymutasufa, his spiritual energy signature was extremely similar to the one from his past human life, the soul society and other beings kept an extremely close eye on him. They saw a large difference in what he did between his two human lives. Reason being, Kaymutasufa, or in this life, Katulachia, was far wiser. Instead, Katulachia, slowly regaining more and more memories during his travels, strayed from civilisation and tried little to attract attention. Because of this, many beings of the spiritual realms assu,ed that he was plotting something terribly grave. Some of them even went as far as to physically confront him; of course, incognito. Katulachia wasn't oblivious to the spiritual energy within these beings, and so,he kept to himself when in the presence of these beings. This caused even more suspicion.As a result, Katulachia was eventually attacked. Out of self-defense, Katulachia retaliated, and so his head was once again targeted. By the time it was 16984, he was killed by an arrancar. This time, Katulachia went straight into soul society, since he knew better than to allow himself to turn into a hollow. Once again in Soul Society, he retained his memories and thus re-enlisted to become a shinigami. Eventually reaching the 13th seat in the 8th division, he once again unlocked his shikai. However, keeping it a dire secret, he never told, anyone that he had achieved bankai. Sadly, he eventually ended up fighting an Arrancar that had used 'Resurrección', reason being that he was on an assignment that seemed simple, but after finding information, he discovered that it was far more dangerous than even a captain's capabilities. He once again fought arduously for his life, and as a result, his bankai was shattered after fighting an arrancar with a base form equal to cero espada (cero in Resurrección state) (of course, this was far before the time of espada, so the aforementioned 'cero espada' was just a comparison). Even his shinigami bankai and fully awakened chi state wasn't enough to defeat this arrancar in resureccion. It was enough, however, to permanently damage this arrancar, who told Katulachia before dying, that the arrancar himself was the other half of Katulachia's soul. When the arrancar was permanently damaged, he most definitely wasn't at espada level, at all. The soul itself was scarred, and the only way to heal it was to once again reconnect the two half-souls. Of course, katulachia refused, and was eventually reincarnated as a human. This time, the soul society kept an eye on him from the beginning, and Katulachia, which in that life was named Karuchit, was never in a threatening situation. One of the reasons was that she met a man and fell in love. By the time Karuchit was 39 (16945), she discovered that her love, who was her husband as well, was a shinigami. After picking some berries, she came back to her dwelling place to find her husband fainted. Looking like he was soulless, she desperately searched around and found her husband in shinigami clothing battling with a hollow. Seeing this revived her memories of being a human and shinigami twice, and also resulted in her realising her Chi powers. Attempting to help her husband, despite being enraged for being deceived, he quickly disposed of the Hollow without her help, and seeing that she had once again shown the ability to use Chi, he swiftly cut her down, for the mission he was on was to “Keep an eye on Karuchit, and if deemed a danger, dispose of her”. Despite not directly showing aggressive behavior, her simple ability to be able to use Chi was deemed as dangerous, and thus, she was killed. This time, she once again became an arrancar, after being enraged for not only being deceived, but betrayed, for she truly loved him. He too, loved her, but decided to put the mission before his love. She sought shinigami specifically and hunted them down, attempting to kill every single one she saw, not sparing a single one. Also, she couldn't bear children in her human life, which would explain why, by the time she was nearly 40, she hadn't any offspring. Karuchit was eventually purified, but only after killing 31 shinigami. Once again rising into Soul Society, she isolate herself rather than enlisting to be a shinigami, for obvious reasons. From there, Karuchit went back and forth, being reincarnated 38 times. These times, she hadn't any ability to use Chi at all, nor any other supernatural abilities. When being reincarnated as a female in the year 1675, she was the offspring of a Quincy and Shinigami in a Gigai. As such, she was technically able to be a shinigami, but could not awaken those powers. Her quincy father, which was in the midst of probable extinction by the Shinigami, he hid his daughter, Kururai, with her mother, a shinigami, as a precaution. Although, as a shinigami, she was not active and associated with soul society, she still had some form of connections with them; for example, some of them being actual people from soul society who still knew of her existence, despite being only a simple shinigami in the 4th division. Not only was Kururai the product of a shinigami and quincy, and the reincarnation of a notorious being, but also the offspring of a Japanese (her mother was japanese before going to soul society) and German parents. Not only was she a potential target of Soul Society, Kururai was also looked upon by other supernatural beings, and frowned upon by her fellow humans. Eventually, she discovered that her father had died. Because of this, her mother left her in an orphanage claiming, 'this is for your own safety'. With that, Kururai grew up a bastard until the age of 15, which at that time, was more than old enough to work. Instead of staying in an orphanage, she went with the church and became a sister. Discovering that she had possessed 'Soul Evolution', she quickly rose in ranks, becoming a Saint after discovering that she could use Chi as well (from her previous lives, as the ability to use chi may linger with one's soul), and had healed many people, therefore the title of 'Saint'. At one point, however, after being hunted by a Hollow (which would make sense, after all, quincy, chi, shinigami, soul evolution) she was saved by a Shinigami. The Shinigami had only been a shinigami for 2 months, however, so he wasn't very well acquainted with battling hollows, and as a result, he was defeated. Being that he was newly a shinigami, and his actual age as a spirit was at most, 9 years, he feared deeply and out of desperation, lended his shinigami powers to Kururai. Because Kururai was a saint, let alone a sister, she had initially denied attacking the hollow, claiming that all things were a creation of god, even satan, and that although the hollow may be a spawn of evil, forgiveness regardless of origin was essential. Despite so, he still gave his powers to Kururai, and this had triggered all her memories of her past lives, since the spiritual pressure within her had been at so much already, since she had 4 different spiritual origins (shinigami quincy soul evolution, chi user). She quickly got over the 'Church Saint' crap and disposed of the Hollow. After giving back the Shinigami his powers, she kept away from the Church, and had ventured out far and wide. The whole time, she hid her powers and refrained from using them, keeping her spiritual level low to avoid discovery. Of course, she did constantly practice within her mind, and occasionally, within isolated areas where she felt safe practicing such powers. Since she had regained her memories and were able to use these powers once again, Kururai had quickly regained a fully awakened state, and despite not being a person with soul evolution,understood the basics of furthering ones power to the point of another form, and had quickly gained a 3rd Soul Stage. Not that quickly actually; she had been able to reach her peek with these powers at age 102. Of course, she had her quincy powers refined to the peek after a long while as well. Eventually, after just turning 103, she confronted a Arrancar, but this arrancar had been surching for her, oddly. She soon discovered that this arrancar was not an ordinary arrancar; it was the other half of her soul. With that, the arrancar forced her soul out of her body and merged. Kururai was not as reluctant as the arrancar had though she would have been. With this, it became a man's conscious within a woman's conscious, being that she retained memories as a male (mostly), and the memories the 30000 year old arrancar (male) had built up. Further, although it was originally the hogyoku that allowed shinigami to become vizards, the hollow (arrancar) was still an actual part of her own soul, and thus, a connection was possible. Of course, the arrancar had regained the ability of Resurrección, and Kururai, her bankai (which was different from her past bankai's, and same with her shikai being the same as her past shikais), since the souls were once again combined. The resurrecion of the arrancar is, of course, Kururai's own Resurrección. From there, she had been able to force herself out of her human body, so that she could use her arrancar and shinigami powers. In her human body, she can't use shinigami or arrancar powers, and in just her soul's form, Kururai can't use quincy (still chi and soul evolution powers however). As a result, Kururai was once again able to train and get her shikai and bankai back. From there, she had ventured been aware of the Vizard group made by shinji, but thouroughly avoided them, using the knowledge of 30000 years to find places that would be difficult to reach. Those places also allowed her to train and get the shikai and bankai, since not only was she, for the most part, hidden from the vizards (kinda) but logically, from a lot of other spiritually aware beings as well. In one of these places, she discovered a being already there; a sangsue. Being that these places were relatively difficult to find, the sangsue was pretty much screwed, and as a result, Kururai helped it out of curiosity and had gained a 5th racial set of powers. While traveling between sorta-hard-to-find-spiritually places, she was attacked. While having multiple powers, being attacked wasn't much of a big deal for her, but who she was attacked by was a danava demon. This demon was born from the concept of duality, but had dual origins, and was also born from 'imagination'. Do to the concept of duality that the demon originated from, and the Sangsue that was, by nature, an absorbing creature, and even the arrancar, who had similar basic personality traits as Kaymutasafa, and was also an arrancar, who had naturally felt power hungry, Kururai was possessed/allowed the Danava Demon to combine with her. Eventually, it was the Zanpakutō, arrancar, sangsue, and danava demon dwelling within Kururai's inner realm, and as a result, she often had internal conflict. Because of this, Kururai was forced to have an incredible level of focus. If she was to awaken all of her powers (which is potentially life threatening, since several different beings would disfigure her body and spiritual levels tremendously) the internal conflict would, for the most part, subside, and her focus, for that instant, would increase dramtically. Of course, despite having all of these racial sets of abilities, skills, and powers, Kururai still has pratically zero durability. After gaining all these beings within her, she felt more comfortable, as she had relatively immense power. With that, Kururai no longer hid around traveling from place to place. She traveled freely, not caring about other presences that might attack her and such. Furthermore, she felt that the abnormal spiritual pressure, chi, or any other general form of energy that she presented would make those whom were 'supernaturally aware' stay wary of her. Eventually, as she traveled, she started collecting swords as a hobby. Swords from all kinds of countries; bastard swords, claymores, greatswords, nodachi, katana, longswords, and generally any other type of sword that existed. More towards the present, around 2408, she sought some sort of refuge, growing tired of constantly bouncing back and forth between places. In turn, she seeked the Yayjuu, as the most recent change she had gone through, was turning into a Ziamichi. With that, Kururai had jonied the Yayjuu as a simple member, and trained to master the Demon Danava within her/him. By 2413, presently, Kururai had grown extremely adapted to being a Ziamichi, and essentially, had become entirely comfortable with being a ziamichi, sort of mastering it. Of course, she had hid almost all progress and refused to present anyone anything about the powers within her, at all. This is not to say that nobody knows of all the powers she possesses, but Kururai him/herself is not aware of who, if any at all knows. Although she would call the Yayjuu 'home', s/he still likes traveling a lot, and so, Kururai hardly stays at a yayjuu base for an extended amount of time.

- Natural Abilities:






[b]» Racial Powers: Kururai possesses two anima stones; one that helped Kururai retain his soul evolution powers, and another that enhances his Soul Detection. Both are internal, and were extracted before dying as a human, and regained when found far after reincarnating as another being. The anima stones were hidden in Kururai's 'secret place'. Explained in background/history

» Evolution Powers: Naturally, Soul Detection. Kururai also generates Soul Force through the anima stone that allowed Kururai to retain Soul Evolution Powers.

» Soul State Evolution Stage 1 Appearance: Kururai's hair grows longer and pitch black, while Kururai's skin lightens by a lot.

[b]» Soul State Evolution Stage 1 Abilities: Naturally, Kururai's usual Evolution powers are enhanced. Kururai also gains incredible multiplication of strength, being 7 times stronger than base form. Kururai's Soul Detection increases dramatically, being able to use pretty much any form of energy around to sense movements or objects. Basically, it works similar to sonar, but won't bounce back and can be used past objects. Speed and other usual attributes are increased as well, by the same amount as strength: 7 times as much as in base state.

» Soul State Evolution Stage 2 Appearance: Besides change in eye colour (eyes turn pitch black) there are no apperance changes.

» Soul State Evolution Stage 2 Abilities: Same change in abilities as Soul State Stage 1. Enhanced Strength, general evolution powers furthered, but increase in Soul Detection is not included. Also, the amount of times Kururai's abilities are multiplied by are 3 times as much, rather than 7.

» Soul State Evolution Stage 3 Appearance: Kururai's eyes glow completely red, and Kururai's skin turns pitch black, making Kururai's eyes the only feature stand out, as the rest of Kururai's body is black (save for clothes, but Kururai's clothes are black anyways, except for the chest plate).

» Soul State Evolution Stage 3 Abilities: Naturally, he gains the benefits of both Stage 1 and 2 combined, however, Kururai also gains a 1 strike ability that depletes all Kururai's Soul Force (of course, retains enough to keep generating Soul Force, but Kururai becomes entirely exhausted). The 1 strike ability is basically similar to cero, being that it's a sort of wide ranged beam that constantly extends, however, the speed is comparable to bala. The 1 strike ability directly affects the energy (what ever energy it is, Reishi, Chi, Chaos Energy, etc.) by depleting it. This ability is only used when Kururai has a person that can strike the finishing blow (ally of course).



Powers

» Chi Powers: Can use the usual Yin/Yang Surge and Geppo, but Kururai CANNOT utilise Vindeca at all, whatsoever. Also, the Yang Surge takes the shape similar to a dome. Because Kururai doesn't have any durability, Kururai must use eternal shielding techniques. Since the damage is comparable to a Gran Rey Cero, this technique is an incredibly useful shield. Duration at this state is 2 posts. The Yin Surge is released in an AOE around him, as if Kururai was inside a ball that expands outwards constantly for, well, 2000 meters. This is alsoo used as a defensive technique that Kururai uses to gauge another's energy levels (chaos, chi, whatever) by how well they can handle it, and is combined with Soul Detection to see how strong a person is left. It is also used as a surprise attack, that utilises the darkness and slowed effect of the Yin Surge. Of course, Kururai has the other basic Chi abilities of enhancing one's self, manifesting the chi into physical objects (includes Chi attacks, like Chi blasts, and making, for example, a Chi blade of sorts), but the ones stated earlier are the most foremost Chi related abilities Kururai can use Without 'awakening'.

» Awakened Appearance: Kururai becomes slightly transparent, but Kururai's shape and general features can still be distinguished. The used clothes are also affected by this.
» Awakened Powers: Of course, the ability to take Chi manipulation further, such as stronger attacks, better physical manifestation, better geppo, and longer durations of such abilities. Also, Kururai;s own chi is increased to 3 times as much as it was in base form. The best ability that can be used in the Awakened state is a combination of Yin and Yang Surge. Basically, it takes the ability of the Yin's AOE, and combines it with the Yang Surge shielding, making a black sphere of shielding that surrounds him that has a slightly stronger strength than the original Yang Surge shield. Kururai is able to technically be aware of what's outside the black sphere (since it's black, direct vision of others is just ridiculous) through Soul detection. Kururai is usually very aware of his ability and is most definitely capable of thinking of different strategies and ways to use his powers, or combine and utilise them. Duration is 3 posts. Kururai also gains more stamina and can far more easily manipulate Chi, but each ability has a much larger energy depletion rate, increasing as much as 3 times as more as if Kururai were to be in base form.

» Fully Awakened Appearance: Kururai becomes completely transparent, HOWEVER, Kururai subconsciously moves around the Chi around him, and his own Chi is increased dramatically (it says infinite, soo. Oh, since this isn't exactly the most common form one would use, Kururai isn't too familiar with infinite chi and therefore may slightly be unstable). With that, Kururai is even more easily recognisable compared to being in awakened state or base form.
» Fully Awakened Powers: Obviously, the same thing happens with Awakened state, where his chi manipulation capabilities is furthered, stronger attacks, stronger Yin/Yang Surges, better Geppo, etc., but one of Kururai's most prominent abilities in Fully Awakened state is the ability to use his Universal Tool:

Universal Tools

• Name: Unfortunate Blade
  
• Type: Primarily Offensive, but can still be used in unconventional ways
  
• Who Can Use It: Theoretically, anyone with Chi capabilities
  
• Information: Kururai's 'Unfortunate Blade' is a basic katana with the bladed part constructed of pure condensed Chi, making the blade itself, not necessarily 'breakable'. The hilt is manifested into an actual, physical object. If one was to destroy the hilt, the entire sword is rendered useless. The blade itself is not 'necessarily breakable'. That part refers to the fact that it's pretty much just condensed energy. Simply snapping it or using conventional means to destroy it won't work, but if one was to obstruct the Chi flow that holds together the blade, it is easily rendered useless. The reason it is named 'unfortunate blade' is due to the simplicity of being able to destroy it (making it unfortunate for the wielder), but also since it is condensed energy, making it far sharper than any other material blade, and thereby making it, in a certain aspect, more deadly. The use of this sword can be kept until the Fully Awakened state ends, or the sword is destroyed. The use of this sword is only once per awakened state, so to use it again (if the wielder had dismissed it) the wielder must once again go into the Fully Awakened State.
  
• Notes: Kururai created it, but since it's chi based, theoretically, anyone can use it (with the Fully Awakened state, as explained in the 'information' part. Also, when it is put as 'primarily offensive', that pertains to it being a sword, and therefore it being made as an offensive weapon, but since it's made out of pure condensed energy(chi), it can also be used as a defensive tool. For example, if a energy blast of some sort were to go at Kururai, Kururai could hold the sword up to the blast, and as the blade is condensed chi, it could possibly disrupt the flow of energy aimed at him, thereby redirecting the flow (like splitting a bullet in half in the movies; it goes around him). Of course, this is not a definite move and won't always work, but the point I attempt to make is that it is indeed 'possible' (unless splitting a type of energy blast can't be redirected that way, but it doesn't seem like I can't, soo).
