» Personality:

-The Mindless Beast: Edo Shizuo is freaking insane at times, quite honestly having the tendency to fly off the handle, and lay waste to everything around him, quite often his fits of rage, result in not only great deals of damage, however they also will result in either him being forcefully stopped, and or him beating the living hell out of who had caused him to go cray cray in the first place, meaning of course that once someone pisses him off until he gets to the point that he’s calmed down, it tends to look like an disaster area around him, exactly this means that for the most part once his fuse has been lit he doesn’t act out of regard or common sense, because more often than not he is just going to be acting out of fury and the urge to just beat who ever caused him to flip into the ground until they can’t make the same mistake twice, precisely this is the reason that once he goes off there is seldom time to talk sense into him, because the reason is that he is in such a state of rage that everything you might say is going to go in one ear and then it’s going to go entirely out the other ear without really registering in his mind at all.

Moral: Edo shizuo believe it or not does have some morals, which drive him, loyalty , which means to not turn your back on who helps you. Is one of the major morals that defines him quite nicely, as for the most part he hates people who betray those that they have been helped by, and that is going to be without a doubt one of the easiest sure fire ways of pissing him off, because loyalty being so important, is one thing that he will not tolerate when it is broken. Courage is another thing, that is really important to him, the will to keep going in the face of trouble and danger , nothing really is thought to be more important to him besides loyalty, cowardice is something that he will not tolerate, he hates those who will not take responsibility and do things with their own two hands. Manners, is another thing that is severely important to him, as he hates when people for the most part choose to be actually disrespectful instead of being polite and at the same time, be proper which means showing respect for those who are in command or of higher ranking or class then the person themselves is.

Mood Calm: When Edo Shizuo is calm he tends to display key characteristics, which are easy to spot, but at the same time hard to pinpoint if you don’t know him too well, all in all though if you are trying to gauge his mood, there is tale tell signs in just how he acts as a whole, because the thing is, he isn’t that subtle in hiding how he feels, in fact he is brutally apparent when he is calm, or when he is pissed, and so forth so really you would have to be severely stupid, or just outright oblivious to everything if you can’t tell when he is in a calmer mood.

-Laid back: When edo shizuo is calm, he tends to be laid back, more go with the flow such means that he is more likely not to rip you a new ass hole if you decided to make a stupid remark or even slip up around him, because he is not often calm when he is calm he is pretty tolerant of most things, which is precisely why when he is of course laid back and calm, he is easiest to approach converse, and actually get to know. Since he is chilling and for the most part unlikely to actually go bat shit on someone, which is why being laid back, means he is going to think more likely than not with his head rather than using his fists.

-Playful: Hell when edo shizuo is in a calm state of mind, he is also pretty playful, as bizarre as it might sound, that’s just the honest truth, this of course means he might make jokes, or even have some kind of sarcasm in his voice. Again though this is only when he is in a calm mood and a calm state of mind, for the very reason that while Edo Shizuo is calm, he’s not thinking about who’s pissed him off and who he is about to kill, ergo this gives him room to lighten up and relax and even for the most part I’d go as far as to say he will generally be quite a good guy to hang with.

-Forgiving: Edo shizuo also has been known to once in a blue moon, when he is calm to forgive people and forget something that might lead to him getting pissed off, this is rare and usually means he holds great respect for whoever at this point he has chosen to forgive, and even in a calm mood he does not give out many chances for redemption, however this is also the only mood in which he actually will give someone a second chance to begin with, because of the fact that when he gets in a calm mood, edo shizuo actively wants to stay in a calm mood, therefor he is more forgiving and likely to not beat the crap out of someone.

-Benevolence: When he’s calm edo shizuo is known to be benevolent, going as far as to turn a blind eye or help other people out if he chooses to, however this isn’t really quite that common, yet because he is in a calm mood, he is able to think like a human being, and as such it means that he is able to be understanding caring and at the same time, able to put himself in their situation and help them in the first place, however note the fact that only in his calm mood would edo shizuo even think of doing something like this moot point, and cased close, since all in all this is the only mood he is sane in.

-Reasonable: When he’s actually calm edo shizuo is pretty reasonable in terms of coping with situations, this translates into the fact that he will be able to negotiate with people, or even go as far as being able to vouch for someone and have credulity to his words because his logic and brain is not being clouded and choked senseless by the raging untamed anger that tends to consume him when he’s in less then jolly and calmed moods, meaning he is able to reason with people when he’s calm.

Irritated: When Edo shizuo is in a irritated mood its also quite easy to tell, because of the fact that as said above his mood tends to be pretty obvious as he doesn’t really try to hide how he’s feeling in the slightest, meaning again you would have to be immensely dim-witted or unobservant to actually not get the vibe that is rolling off him, in short this means that for the most part, he tends to be easy to notice when he is irritated.

-Sadistic: When edo shizuo is irritated he seems to find irrelevance in his own injuries instead they just seem to for the most part if it was actually possible, to have an adverse effect fueling his rage, and anger and only serve to bring it to heightened levels beyond what it actually is, there honestly is no real reason as to why this happens , however it is theorized that because of his background and life, he seems to for the most part go off the deep and, and I mean quite literally when he actually is injured and hurt, so the more you seem to injure edo shizuo, the angrier and just generally the deeper of a hole you will have for the most part dug for yourself, meaning that its better to leave him alone then to hurt him .

-Insane: When edo shizuo becomes irritated he begins to act like a insane little bugger straight from your worst nightmares, it seems that he tends to do ridiculous things which have for the most part no real physical law abiding features to them, such as throwing a bike like it’s a itsy bitsy baseball and he is playing the role of the pitcher which is delivering a 165km /mph fast ball, in short while Edo shizuo is in a state of irritation things trend towards the ridiculous and insane rather than the more normal and rather preferable instances that are going to be taking place whilst he is actually calm. So for the most part while Edo Shizuo is irritated, things tend to go in a downward spiral towards instant insanity.

-Anger Management: when Edo Shizuo Is irritated, he is often likely to fly off the handle and get into some kind of absurd situation which is why, notably when edo shizuo is irritated he has anger management issues, in short this means that he just seems to have for the most part a general ticking time-bomb inside him as long as he is in a irritated mood, and this means that it will not take much for him to go off the deep end, and transcend into a worse stage or a later stage of his rage, then he is currently at, meaning its advised to watch your actions when he is irritated because i will state this again for emphasis: It does not TAKE much to make him Snap.

-Slightly Violent: Edo shizuo when he’s irritated is known to be marginally violent, though it is not going to be close to how violent he is when he really gets angry, so it is advised to still not try to harm him while he is indeed irritated because he will have hardly and real problems with actually for the most part causing injury or harming someone who seems to want to for the most part cause some kind of trouble for him, meaning more so than the trouble he has already endured, which is why you tend to benefit from not being an ass around him when he is irritated.

Mildly Angry: Edo shizuo is quite obvious when he is like this for the reason that, as explained time and time again, he does not really for the most part make it a habit of hiding how he feels, but rather he is quite blunt and honest with how he is feeling which reflects why you would have to be extremely stupid, borderline brain dead actually to not notice when he is mildly angry as Edo Shizuo Is quite obvious in displaying when he is beginning to go from irritation to actual legitimate anger.

-Psychopathic Tendencies: When Edo Shizuo is mildly angry he begins to develop mild psychopathic urges, and values human life at close to nil, meaning that in short he has no real problem with murdering people, however this is what you would call an incomplete Psychopathic tendency because the fact is he displays emotion a wide range when he’s killing or even feeling like killing something, although for the most part the actual killing of another person doesn’t bother him anymore one bit, actually he doesn’t even value life at all anymore, he has gotten to the point that unless you’re the target. Then stay the hell out of his way, because it’s a fact that if the person is not strong enough to handle his wrath? They will be killed by Edo Shizuo and then they will be forgotten and he will move on to the main objective.

-Range Of Emotion: Edo shizuo stills retains emotion in this stage of anger, though it is the widest array of emotion that you will usually see from him, as it covers heavy sarcasm and mockery quite often, which is why Edo Shizuo sometimes is angry just so he can make use of the wide range of human emotions that he actually has buried deep in side of him, for the most part though these emotions lead to further destruction, which is why although he is animate in displaying these emotions, they are just furthered or joined by immense damage, and an insatiable rage which more likely if not visible lurks just below the surface of his mildly seething mind.

-Moderate Violent Tendencies: When Edo Shizuo, is mildly angry he begins to get moderately violent going as far as to pummel the living crap out of people who get in his way, destruction is wide spread and indiscriminate, although he still will retain enough sense to keep bystanders out of it, as he still is marginally bound by his morals, although his violence will reach new heights and even when mildly angered Edo Shizuo is capable of fully demolishing a small city or large town in the wake of the widespread violence that is going to ooze from him like a bad odor. Moderately violence to Edo Shizuo, although is pretty much the maximal level of normal violence any human being normally will get angry too, however its only moderate to Edo Shizuo because of just what and who he is.

-Mild Tracking Instincts: When Edo Shizuo is Mildly Angered he begins to feel the instinct to track down and beat the living shit out of whoever is unlucky enough to have angered him in the first place. This feeling can be suppressed however, because he is only mildly angry this means that the urge is not going to be near as compulsive as it would be if you say, got him actually angry which is of course why at this point Edo Shizuo is not at the point in which there is an absolute possibility that he is going to go blood hound on the offending parties ass, and hunt them down to the ends of the freaking earth or something, quite contrary there is only a slight chance he will track you at all.

-Compulsive Use Of Brute force: When Edo Shizuo is mildly angered he is going to more likely use a large amount of brute force to beat the shit out of whoever angered him, however the difference is he is not going to use the max amount of force that he can produce, instead the fact is that when he is mildly angered it just means that he is going to be more likely to use a higher amount of force then what he was previously using. Thanks to the fact that Edo Shizuo is somewhat angry at you, this means that unfortunately he is going to invest more time into the use of brute force in the compelling and by this point appealing notion of beating the shit out of who angered him and then being able to calm down and go on like absolutely nothing has happened of any real significance.

-Mildly Stubborn: Of course when Edo Shizuo is mildly angered he becomes somewhat stubborn in neglecting the punishment or multiple punishments that he has deemed to be the consequence for whoever is unlucky enough to have mildly got him angry, as such he generally is going to have an unnatural yet justified aversion to letting someone off the hook, instead he is more going to lean towards, or be inclined to beat the living crap out of that person and if they survive after he’s gone then he will leave them alone, this although is just because if you’ve managed to get him even slightly angry then he’s probably not going to go easy on you at all. However this also means that Edo Shizuo will not back down likely either, because when he is even only slightly angry he doesn’t really feel any need to stop, or any real want to stop pummeling or attempting to pummel the offender until either he calms down, is stopped or gets a cigarette, if those things don’t happen, then he just probably will more likely than not, be going crazy on the offending person, until he feels like he’s done enough to deem they have repented enough.

Angry: It is quite apparent when he is angry because the thing is that, when he gets angry he isn’t really going to hide it what so ever, instead he’s brutally clear with his emotions, making it so that for the most part, its not necisarily going to be a hard thing to tell his mood, and to be honest you would at this point have to be brain dead or mentally lacking to not discern his mood when it gets like this, which is specifically why for the most part Edo Shizuo is really going to be clear and easy to discern when he is actually angry.

-Pure Untamed rage: when Edo Shizuo is actually angry at someone rage tends to rip across everything else, causing for the whole situation, to go from bad to just horrifyingly bad, for the reason that his anger at this point can easily be beyond the reasoning point, in short it becomes if not completely then more likely than not impossible to sate the anger that goes on in his head, and this is going to actually tend to force its way above any and all other emotions, as this anger is just so dynamic and driving it means that almost most the time it seems like extreme pain and bloody hell for the person that all this anger is actually directed at, in short his rage is nearly at this point beyond comprehension, and is going to be extremely violent.

-Psychopathic Tendencies: Due to his rage Edo Shizuo seems to hold no regard for human life, nor have any qualms over any and all injuries done to him or to an opponent, if anything he gets glee and more rage out of injury and causing injury to others, it is rather indiscriminate in how it works and both sides of the coin, causing injuries and being injured seem to at the very least both add fuel to the fire, as if quite honestly his mind has been so consumed by the rage that actually is pulsing through it that, generally this would just simply mean that he has no regard for human life, and finds the living little more than an annoyance that needs to be taken care of so that he can go on to the next thing, human life means nothing, and he doesn’t even value his own life any more, everything is full of both rage and pure psychopathic killing intent, it means that Edo Shizuo, has no purpose in his mind at the very least other than killing and destroying everything.

-Killing Intent: More regularly when Edo Shizuo is enraged you can sense the pure untamed killing intent that is rolling off him, it’s really one of the more quite bluntly obvious things about him, because of the fact the killing intent itself alone can be quite staggering and not to mention it is , for the most part definitively something that one should watch out for, as for the base fact of the matter, Edo shizuo’s killing intent is rather something that is hard to put into words, and is incredibly palpable, I mean you without a doubt will know if he honestly wants to kill you or if he does not want to kill you, he can make it fairly clear, in both his actions and the aura that he gives off, from the just plain level his killing intent normally will be at, when he gets to this stage of actual anger.

» Human Capacities:

Shizuo's great strength is explained this way: Normally, the brain restricts one's power, shutting down muscles in response to pain in order to prevent serious injury; unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it),Shizuo doesn't have this limitation, and is capable of using his full strength. His power is described in the novels as the naturally unlimited form of human strength, and Shinra likens it to the incredible "adrenaline power" that people rarely display in times of emergency. Although he was chronically injuring himself as a child, over time his body quickly strengthened itself and caught up. Now, as an adult, he is able to use his power without destroying his own body.


Despite the fact that Shizuo used his power very often, he was (and to some extent remains) worried about it. This is probably the result of events in his childhood where his strength caused others to fear him, alienated him from others at school, and even at times inadvertently hurting people he cares for. It wasn't until his run-in with the Saika Army that he was able to accept himself the way he was, since they claimed to "love" him because of his strength, giving him a reason to stop holding back. Outsiders believe that the "Slasher" incidents ended when he went after Shizuo (it was actually when Anri defeated Haruna Niekawa, but Shizuo still beat up many of Saika's daughter blades and only stopped fighting when they did).


Shizuo is also capable of often superhuman parkour moves gained from years of chasing Izaya, who is very good at running away from him. They share an intense mutual animosity, and Shizuo simply seeing Izaya on the street usually results in Shizuo hurling a trash can, vending machine or other dangerous projectile at him, followed by Izaya fleeing and Shizuo giving chase while angrily yelling "I-za-ya!" after him. All though edo shizuo in this case has a difference in strength that is startling, as his strength is able to go above and beyond the normal capacity, considerably dangerous and over whelming this strength is most noticeably allowing for him to plow through buildings with little to no real problem what so ever, however this strength holds the capacity to even cause earthquakes and craters in the ground. Meaning in short while this is purely natural strength he has the strength to level cities and even cause air quakes , just because of his insane strength it means that for the most part, he is an example of unlimited strength as his strength itself is able to destroy and crush many objects without much trouble when it comes to the entirety of these situations.



Immunity to pain: Edo shizuo has displayed time and time again, that he has a nigh incomprehensible threshold to pain, which is of the likes that he could be roasted alive, burned and cut into tiny pieces however the fact remains that he is not going to feel more then a tickle, so while humans can have a high threshold shizuo sets the bar by far, because his pain tolerance is literally immense and insane, examples would be that he could have a pen shoved through his nutsack, and for the most part he would not even notice it, or kick the ass of who put it there in the first place, meaning that in most cases its not that he is ignoring the pain, its just outright he is so used to pain, injury and maiming that he just is not going to feel it what so ever let alone actually doing something like comment on it, his threshold is not only extreme , but it is absurd and debatably it is wondered if he even has any actual registering part of the brain to take in pain at all.


Animal Intent: Naturally Edo shizuo has a heightened level of adrenaline, and an animal edge to his body, which allows it to literally go and void what is considered to be the natural limits of the human body, this means that in fights the more he’s beaten down, the harder he will push back, as his strength is bottomless, he can supplement that to keep himself standing in a majority of situations no matter honestly how absurd it could be considered to be, to be honest this natural capability can be thought to be thanks to his sheer will power, being able to push through many situations, and keep trucking on despite the wounds he has taken, which is why his body is strong but that’s only half the battle, his animal like intent to keep going, is on par with the level that his strength finds its self to be at, so naturally Edo Shizuo , is a kind of being that has been able to crush and move forward, as that is honestly just what he does, so not only is his strength something to be feared but, his will power makes it so unless you kill him, there is quite the chance that he is going to get up again and again time in and time out.


Internal armory of muscles: not armor perhaps but naturally when edo shizuo flex’s his muscles it can create a barrier against internal damage, not quite because his skin is hard but because of the fact that his body is capable of tightening and flexing his muscles so much that to a point it becomes rather instead of actually the skin like most have in the natural world it’s the muscles that actually are a line of defense perfectly capable of taking extreme hits, and withstanding multitudes of attacks , they are the ideality when it comes to actually defending his internal body, as all his muscles are when flexed harder than titanium due to how capably strong he is as a whole, in short because of this his muscles can be a kind of defense in the midst of battle, as strong as hierro of an arrancar and just as capable as modern day tank armor, his muscles are nothing to take lightly.



The sight: Edo shizuo naturally has gained the sight upon dying allowing for him to fight with spiritual beings and the likes, this sight means that he can clearly see the supernatural world for what it is, and fight it accordingly, precisely this is why the spiritual world holds no actual differences for him and certainly thanks to this, it has no actual meaning to him other than allowing him to see things for what they are.

Extreme Durability: It goes without saying that Giant killer has a strange level of durability that is much higher than an average sword’s would be, it is able to with ease stand the full brunt of Edo Shizuo’s immense strength and does so with very little trouble, in fact this blade was created with durability and Defense in mind, which is why the narrow single edged katana accurately enough is able to take a serious pounding. However the blade seems to be reinforced by some substance that has been cleverly integrated into the make and design of the katana as a whole, adding stability but not to mention it means that the blade is able to withstand, much more force than Edo Shizuo Can actually produce, meaning that this blade can take quite the pounding.

However this Blade seems to have a strange Durability beyond this, which is metaphysical durability, a natural tolerance of spiritual and the spiritually , or just rather supernatural as a whole, and is on a level of durability for this too which easy is going to be the equal of the rather high physical Durability that Giant killer actually has in the first place, which should be noted for the reason that this blade is designed not accurately for it to be able to maim everything within a heart-beat or a blink of an eye, but instead it is made so that it is able to ENDURE the situation, and keep going even if it turns out to be less then actually enjoyable, so this blade may not be the sharpest but it is made to last as with Edo Shizuo its not exactly a problem of cutting, his brute strength can do that. It is a matter of Lasting him though as his brute strength is more likely to break the weapon if it’s quality is not of a high enough grade.

Giant Killing: A peculiar characteristic of the blade, which makes it perfect for taking down, spiritually aware persons. This Katana is enabled to cut through and cause damage of greater significance when the level of power present is completely gigantic, meaning the blade itself works with up to 3 times as much effectiveness against those of the 0 tier. The reason being the blade was peculiar even when it was crafted, and was made with the intent to kill giants or beings that could be considered giants by todays modern standard, which is why this blade itself has negating properties that work better the larger the opponents power levels find themselves to be at.

The other thing is, lacerations to these beings are increased greatly as the likely hood for damage, is boosted by 2x meaning that because of giant killer, 0 tier opponents are twice as likely to be injured , and those injuries are going to range from moderate to severe, for the reason that giant killing amplifies the damage output on these high tiers on impact, making it the basically Ideal, means of fighting someone much stronger then yourself, Of course, this is not with its own cons, such as the fact only beings that truly have no spiritual powers themselves could hope to wield the blade itself for the reason being that Giant killer also damages spiritual energies of the user, a double edged sword. As it was made to be used by those with low energy outputs to be able to combat higher tiered persons in the midst of battle.

Sword techniques :

Giant slayers Maelstrom:
Edo Shizuo grips the blade first in a reverse handed fashion, this is a quick movement that takes place in a relatively short period of time without much warning taking place before the action actually happens. However speed and force from this motion will cause Giant killer to hum a keening wail almost from the speed at which this motion is accurately completed, which is what makes the technique strange to begin with. However the blade itself will seem to blur as he’s doing this, and in quick succession the vibrations tend to be harsh able to from the sound waves disperse Incoming attacks, by using the abruptness and the overwhelming strength that flips the blade itself in the first place. This part of the attack however does do considerable harm, as the vibrational waves are known to be able to easily destroy buildings, and cause ground fracturing and minor fissures in a direct 45 by 45 foot radius, although that is only the first second of the attack itself.

Giant Killer then is brought across the torso using a high level of Strength, that is focused in the arms, causing a thunderclap to be present from the speed, and power of the actual action of cutting its self, this is able to cause an air quake, or an earthquake that has been generated by vibrational waves that have presented themselves in the air. However the blade it should be noted vanishes from sight or seems to lag out from the forced speeds that the Katana-blade is now moving at. This is partially why the Giant Slayers Maelstrom is called Maelstrom for the reason that, when swung the resulting winds will whip up to a frenzy considerably these winds are enough to blow out the sides of buildings and sever through them with relative ease, this is because of the fact the blade slices through the vibrations it creates while being swung at such a speed, which causes literally for a horizontal Cutting anomaly to rip through obstructions.

If this was it though it would be a godsend, however the blade comes back around a second slanted cut across the body, moving with savage abruptness, which will generate another one of these anomalies it should be noted though that the blade of Giant killer from force and speed seems to within these motions remain void in the optical limits of most people , as is going to be moving at force induced speeds that are hard to dodge, from the resulting counter swing that is present, making for the swing itself to be rather a tricky thing to deal with in terms of the quick succession that they are created in. However there is another fact here which is the keening wail will cause vibration based damage to the person smashed by such a slice, causing damage internally as well as externally in a matter of the second strike landing, from its rapid succession.

The Third strike of Giant killer, holds a speed that is almost like its teleporting the edge of the Katana to the targeted being in question, slicing in a reverse crescent with speeds that will cause for a circular spiral of wind to go jetting up into the air, the trauma here comes from both the speed of the slice, the angle but as well it comes from the wind pressure that jets outwards pushing into everything that seeks of obstruct it, and generally causing wide spread mayhem from the sudden shift in angle and slice ratio. This fourth slash itself is going to hold all the speed and rapid succession that the previous strikes had held, however the blade will move slicing up quickly and then the blade rotates to the right, this one has no real affects other than being insanely quick, however it does complete the four slashes that make up the Maelstrom slash, however it should be noted from the speed its going at? Most of the strikes happen just so quickly that it holds the illusion that its only one swing, as all four take place in a span of a mere split second, meaning that it’s extremely quick and also definitely something that would be quite the problem to deal with, this is the first sword technique Edo Shizuo Has.

this is his second sword Technique

Giant slaying flurry is undoubtedly the most peculiar Strike that Edo shizuo has, being that it starts by the blade swinging around with the flat of the edge exposed, causing for the air to burst outwards and pressure to greatly rise, in the time of the first opening stance, for this reason the swing itself the first one anyways seems to build up immense levels of tension between the air and the sword, friction and resistance being a huge counterforce for this first part of the swing, which is the only visible part of it that is present. the third sword technique

For this one, Edo shizuo quickly starts by bringing the blade forward switching quickly though he goes from a single handed to a double handed grip, causing a noticeable increase in both the strength and speed of the technique, of course though this strike is also the most deadly of the ones he has, for the reason that it is made to rend limb from limb in a quick rapid near instant movement, which is timed together to allow for both the speed, and the strength to be used fully of course this is why as well this strike is one of the more confusing ones to follow in the middle of combat, from how it’s actually used, and as well because of the unorthodox movements that it actually is known to incorporate into the style to further throw off the opponent , and make the strike more likely to land, more so then anything else at least, precisely the reason though that this is a dual handed strike unlike the previous two that are in his arsenal.

Weapon Description:
Crude lance is as the name suggests so cleverly, a lance in design and in origins generally, However the only thing that’s not suggested in the name is that the lance is pretty durable, in its design and in its stature, being that the lance unlike normal lances is rather like a complete blade at the top of it, being almost like a katana in shape, however its cleverly tapered into what only could be described like a point, rounded and then flattened to give it a strange kind of penetrative might to it, which is quite honestly why this lance tends to look like its crude, or was hammered out of literally a random sheet of iron and then given a kind of weird edge to it, partially this is the reason that the lance itself is called crude lance, It looks like a relic from times past, badly made, and as such it looks like it could be quite weak.

Immense Durability: Crude lance is not a masterpiece by far, however it seems to have a great deal of durability to it, meaning that this lance is just like his sword something that he is more likely than not, going to be unable to accurately break. Many things give it strength such as the fact that because it was never refined perchance it means that it definitively is going to be more on the rough and heavy side, something that adds mass and gives the weapon a good deal more force to penetrate with then a refined weapon would.

Also because it’s not refined it means that “Thankfully” there are no adornments or embellishments that might get in the way, and this means that when it smashes into something Edotensei Shizuo could in fact throw the entire lance itself and it would pass through without getting stuck what so ever, which is precisely the reason that this lance itself is also suited for penetrating, as once the blade is at the end it actually does not get any bigger or hook out to stop it from going in, rather the whole body of the lance, and the tip cohesively match each other making it so that the lance it able to be used from both sides , and this means that once force is applied the blunt penetrating nature will give it ample force to continue through and get the job done, however don’t mistake this with a sharp lances characteristics, since because its dulled Edotensei shizuo can basically grasp any part of the weapon, and this almost means that when it penetrates it generates friction, and causes literally for heat to be generated, causing burns instead of the normal cuts, and making jagged holes instead of the easier to heal clean cuts. So the blows dealt from this weapon are not going to be “Clean” instead rather you could say that the lance blow itself is going to be a messy spot if it hits, generating burns, a hole if it was going through the body, and in general causing damage from both blunt force trauma and at the same time a general damage from the penetrative force that’s going through the body.


Technique name: 原油ジャブ (Gen'yu jabu)
English translation: Crude jab

Crude jab is basically a simple jab in the essence of the technique, however the only difference between crude jab, and a regular jab is that while a regular jab is going to take only a light amount of force, here what happens is the for starters the moment the movement goes forward, from a running or standing position, it’s moving at high speeds and nearly going ram rod straight towards the opponent, however the difference here is that of course when it’s being used, friction builds up heading the lance to high temperatures from the crude non refined nature of the actual lance itself meaning of course the lance once it begins moving, is going to be a natural means of starting a fire, as when it strikes or hits objects the lance itself will bring off sparks as its moving, which is the first part of the Crude jab itself, and the main reason that it causes burns as well as leaving substantial damage to the body, when it strikes the first time, instead of just a hole like a normal lance would.

Second though as it strikes the lance itself moves almost as if possessed the main reason being that EdoTensei shizuo at high speeds is pulling back and twisting the angle to the lance to elongate the strikes damage radius, this happens of course though in a minute and rather short period of time, plausibly this is going to make it so that Edotensei shizuo’s attack is going to instead of just the normal damage itself is going to as well cause burns and what not on the body if the move was able to hit, of course on hierro’s this is not going to actually cause as much burning damage, but instead rather is going to be much more likely to cause crushing damage, due to the strength of the jab itself, which is partially the reason why while it does burn, that’s not the most dangerous nor the most useful thing about the crude jab technique at all, rather it’s just going to be a random byproduct of the movements that take place in the crude jab moot point, meaning that of course while it is useful it’s not actually going to be the thing which is dangerous here.

Third of all there’s the factor of air resistance from the movement and the way the Crude jab comes in, using forced speed it causes displacement and as well you could say an imbalance in the air which is going to generate extra punching force into the foe, or the person in question, this is partially the reason why with the crude jab, blunt force tends to be more effective than a blade would, because this damage radiates outwards from the impact point via air pressure, causing for a explosive based damage on top of an already significant base of what you would consider to be burning and pure crushing speed, coupling these together is what makes the attacks affects generated without powers partially a means of breaking and cracking defensive obstructions for the main part of the attack to then be able to slide through the cracks and actually cause a decent amount of damage and is precisely as well why this is actually dangerous without it actually hitting you as it’s like a vortex around the striking point, meaning that radial and indirect damage can still be dealt with in the radius of roughly a foot thanks to the strange air disruption from force friction and speed.

All though that is part of it, the lance also with the jab can be thrown at long range or medium range, such actions will cause the lance to spiral due to its unrefined grooves and curves which catch the air turning it into a heavy, fast moving and blunt drill of sorts, gathering up the air from the tailwind, and more importantly generating heat from the friction. When it is used in this method the actual lance itself is going to be able to not only quickly catch running foes, but as well punch through buildings and obstructions without much of a pause, the reason being that as it spins, the friction from the edges turns into almost like a sandpaper- grinding and smoothing effect, which is why when it bores through things when thrown it leaves a glassy smooth hole in its place or half of one, as when it goes through something its also grinding down the jagged edges of the hole into a fine glassy grain which is going to be for the most part, heat sealed shut because while this grinding takes place heat is undoubtedly generated from the friction and dealing the damage.
