Basics

Name: Kusaka Masato Wataru Kurenai Sugiura
Heritage: Wataru is the first and oldest son of Misaiko Sugiura and Kurenai Otoya, which is why he has both last names in his own name. As Misaikos second-oldest child, he was meant to become the next King of their people before his self-imposed exile.
True Age: Unknown, but he is the second oldest child of Misaiko Sugiura, and so far, her only son. He is rumored to be either 9000 or over 8000 years old.
Gender: Male
Personality: By the standards of many, Kusaka is an asshole. He loves to flip others switches, often spending his time with annoying the living daylight out of anyone close to him – but this is actually a sign of affection from the warrior with the smirk on his face. He has trouble truely showing what he thinks, and often lacks the ability to look into the eyes of someone when he is speaking his honest opinion or feelings.
Besides that, he can't stand to be amongst many people, but often overplays this. Lacking a large amount of confidence, Kusaka is a master at getting the attention of normal people and getting them on his side – his charisma as a former prince is quite astounding. He once openly admitted towards his father that he can only fight to his fullest 'when someone is watching and waiting for him to win'. No matter how strong his own desire for something is, his caring side brings out the true potential of the true heir of the Sugiura throne.
However, this caring side is mostly buried under fake emotions and pure hatred nowadays. Kusaka doesn't dislike his mother or sisters, he still respects them. However, his hate for both Shimura and the ones who decided his fate during the Judgement are people he has sworn to kill, no matter what.
His whole attitude of always smirking and faking his emotions are only ways to hide his true feelings of sadness and despair. Kusaka knows that his body won't be able to contain the Reiatsu he has for more than a few decades at best. He knows that the only way for him to survive is to get his old self and body back.

Animalistic Traits: In his current form, Kusaka lacks any animalistic traits. In his original form, he had some slight vampire-bat like fangs, but nothing more.
One strange thing about Wataru can be seen in both forms on the back of his right hand. Like a black chess piece with an acompany of a black, curved scroll under it, with roses growing around the lonly tower representing it, he has the chess piece of KING engraved into his hand, together with that exact text. It is slightly faded in his human body. He is able to hide it with a glove, since most Sugiura would instantly recognize the royal crest. This is not a tattoo or birthmark, but rather, a magic imprint.

Natural  Abilities

Techinques: Dirty Blue Blood
Being only one generation away from Shimura, Kusakas blood is extremely 'strong' - he is able to use the Kaixa Gear without any drawbacks on his body. Also, his blood type can't be determined, by neither science nor magical means.

Royal Reiatsu
Kusakas Reiatsu-concentration is nothing too special. He is clearly not weak, and could put many spiritually aware humans to shame, but it doesn't stand out compared to other good adepts. He can't train his own Reiatsu-capacity, no matter how hard he would try.
This is only a part of his Reiatsu leaking through the seal, though. His unleashed powers without the seal are way higher, and while he lacks the magic to use his high concentrations, his original powers are based on it. After being sealed for nearly 8000 years, his once legendary Reiatsu is weakened, though, and while it exceeds a Shinigami captains average, it's not on the levels of his mother anymore. This may only change with much time and training.

Martial Artist
Training in ways to kill with his body or weapons alone, even before Martial Arts were invented in the human world, Kusaka knows where to strike to make it count. He has an easier time than others with figuring out weakspots, and his body is a honed weapon itself, making him less suspectable to sneak-attacks and surprises. He can use a broad array of weapons, going from basic things like swords and spears to exotic weapons like swallows or the good old japanese Katana.
His reflexes are also way above human level, making him a very good driver, even though he never got an official drivers license.

Roots of the King
Destined to rule, the one chosen by Kivat the Third inherted a trait not even his father had - the sign on his right hand has a mysterious power that only works against Sugiura, and is still able to be used, even in his sealed from, although weakened. Should a Sugiura have broken their sacred laws, Kusaka is able to quite literally smite them with his powers. The exact activation is a mystery even to himself and more of an instinct than a technique, but usually, Wataru falls into a half-trance and mutters the sentence: "For you, night has come."
After that, a red stream of light, red rose petals swirling through it, will be fired at the sinner. If the Sugiura regrets his/her actions, the attack gets stronger, to the point where it can completely eradicate someone who admits their crimes as wrong. Those that stand to their decisions only recieve damage from it. The extend depends on how many laws have been broken - usually, it won't exceed Cero for one who stands by their decisions. Only persons bathing in darkness, like Gilgamesh, would recieve more damage - it could increase up to the levels of Cero Oscuras damage. Since this move can't be freely used, it's not reliable for fights.

Violin Artist
Wataru, and to an extend, also his sealed form as Kusaka, is able to play the violin with much skill and finesse. One of his dreams is, in fact, so surpass his father, Kurenai Otoya, who was an even better musician.

Dreams of Truth
Thanks to his strange connection to both Guardian Beasts and the Sugiura Bloodline, Wataru can sometimes recieve prophetic dreams, showing one of the many possible futures, often together with terrible nightmares that could make a grown man wet his pants. Those dreams are one reason why he always seems to be whereever he is needed.

Life Syphon Not aviable until Kusaka regains his Sugiura powers
Kusaka produces two flying, vampire-fang like objects with his will, and makes them fly at his target at high speed, aiming either for bare skin or clothing, since they can't pierce armor. Once hit, they'll absorb Life Energy from the target, and transfer it directly to Wataru, unless he reverts the effect - he can infuse pure Life Energy into people from himself, too, or use two fangs at different people to switch Life Energy between them. This pure energy heals the wounds and fatigue of the one on the recieving end, while weakening the victim. Death Energy can block the effect of this.
Should someone be killed by this, their body will turn transparent and white, before vanishing or shattering like glass.
The absorbtion process takes a bit of time, and is not instanteniously. Once pierced by the fangs, the Life Energy will slowly be absorbed into Watarus body. Transfering his own life energy into others works way faster, though, the same goes if someone is giving their Life Energy willingly to Wataru. It won't take longer than 1 post in those cases.
Should someone on Kusakas level not get rid of his fangs piercing the body, they'll slowly weaken him. 12 consecutive posts are needed to kill someone on the same level completely.

Death Syphon Not aviable until Kusaka regains his Sugiura powers
The two flying fangs Kusaka produces with this technique are black instead of white, and transparent as usual. They are able to extract poisons and pure death energy from the target and store them to be used as projectile-attacks with injections, or they can switch them over to whoever has the second of the fangs stuck inside. Kusaka can use this technique on himself to absorb poisons and death energy, which makes him very hard to kill using those.
The effect is not instanteniously, and will take longer the more Death Energy someone has been hit with. For extremely large, otherwise undoubtly fatal amounts, it could even take hours to extract it. The transfer between two fangs is without delay, though, so once a part of the Death Energy is absorbed, it can be exerted from the other one. Normal amounts usually encountered against demons can take 1-3 posts to absorb, against specialists of Death Energy, it can take up to 6 posts to completely get rid of the poison if no new Death Energy enters.

Seal of God
The worst punishment for any Sugiura is eternal sealing, not death. Since Kusakas power upon his judgement call was too great to seal him away, he was first forced into a container while his Guardian Beast was sealed - his Sugiura soul-body was forced into a fake human body which it can't leave. After that, he was sealed in stone.
Re-awakened, he is now roaming free, but his powers and Guardian Beast are still sealed. The only way to re-awaken this and break the Seal of God put on him by Shimura, Kusaka needs to throw away all of his personal desires, wishes, and selfish thoughts for at least one moment, and only have one pure wish - the wish to protect his family. Should this happen, the seal on his chest and the seal on Kivat the Third will break. However, he does not know about this, in fact, nobody but Shimura does.
Should the seal be broken, and Kusakas power be free once more, he will regain his Kyuu Kyou, Alter Form, and abilities instantly.

Magic: Even without having his powers sealed, Kusakas talent in magic is nearly non-existant. He can maybe try to cast weaker spells in his full Sugiura powers or weak Boundary Fields, but even those have a high chance of failure and backfire.

Sacred Weapon: Watarus Sacred was actually his Guardian Beast itself.

To release it, he had to summon a red belt with his will, the second part of 'Kiva', after which Kivat bit into the hand of his host, innitializing the transformation and finishing it by docking into the belt.

Other Weapons: Kusaka is the current owner of the Kaixa Gear, a set of objects that can form a battle armor around the users body. More information in the Code Name: KAIXA Section.

Guardian Beast

Kusakas Guardian Beast is currently sealed away, meaning that he lacks any powers associated with it, and can't release his Sacred.

Element: Life Energy

Guardian Beast: Personality-wise, Kivat the Third is a very intelligent being, and a fun-loving individual that constantly reminds his host to act like a king should act. He fully supports his host and master to the best of his abilities, and is the son of the Guardian Beast of Kurenai Otoya, the first King and father of Kusaka.
However, Kivat is not the only Guardian Beast Wataru has. The other three are the arms-beasts Garulu, Bassha and Dogga, monstrous beings with humanoid forms. Garulu looks like a man in his early 20's with a look best compared to a biker, Dogga is a large, but not very intelligent being with broad shoulders, usually seen wearing a formal suit, and Bassha is a rather small, boy-like figure that, strangely enough, runs around in a school-uniform.
Finally, the other entity protecting Kusaka is made out of his own will and shaped as a secondary true Guardian Beast - Tatsulot, a small, dragon-like creature.

Tatsulot is a very playfull and childish being, and far more outgoing than Wataru himself. It likes to play pranks on others, but is also a loyal friend to Kusaka himself.



Guardian Beast's World: Kusakas inner world is an exact replica of the old Sugiura Castle, which was his home for most of his life. In the throne room, Kivat resides, constantly waiting for the destined King to show up again once he has his true self back.

Sacred Unleashed

Joushou: Wataru uses a 'transformation-type' Sacred, which summons the armor of KiVa (short for King of Vampires) to protect the user and make him stronger in physical combat.

Besides making Kusakas punches and kicks harder by infusing his raw energy into the muscles, the armor offers protection not unlike adept Hierro. Life Syphon becomes faster and easier to use. Also, Kivat can seperate from the belt and break the chains around the legs of Kiva, so that he can execute his extremely strong kick, called "Wake Up". This kick leaves a bat-shaped insignia on the ground or wall where it hits, and the victim of it will be pierced by the red wings attached to the legs and recieve a large deal of blunt force.
Those killed by Kiva will turn into stained glass and shatter.


Zenou: In this form, the armor of KiVa grows stronger by attaching the power of Guardian Beasts to it that Wataru tamed. They are not his personal Guardian Beasts, but rather the Guardian Beasts of his Guardian Beast, but they also reside in the castle inside of his inner world.

Besides an improved armor-protection, Watarus Reiatsu enhances the output of his body further, making him even stronger in hand-to-hand combat. He is able to easily break steel with his bare hands now.
Also, he can use three different weapons that materialize when he needs them: The Garulu Saber, a curved sword that his best used for quick and savage attacks. 'Wake Up' can be used on it to make an armor-breaking slash enhanced by blue flames. The Dogga Hammer is a large hammer with a fist-shaped hammerhead and long hilt, and breaks concrete just by being laid down upon it because of it's mass. An attack with it is slow, but devastating. Wake Up used on the Dogga Hammer materializes an even bigger hammerhead out of pure Reishi to pound the opponent to paste. Finally, the Bassha Magnum is a single handgun that can fire out short bursts of condensed spiritual energy. If a large body of water is near, it can be used in Wake Up to fire a concentrated stream of water that can pierce metal with ease.


Kyuu Kyou: Watarus Kyuu Kyou is activated by Tatsulot attaching itself onto his arm with the phrase 'Tension Fortissimo - Henshin!'. The transformation usually looks like this, and is executed from Joushou more often than Zenou:

However, Wataru can also access this form right away from normal if he needs to.
After the transformation, Wataru is no longer just KiVa - he is now Emperor Kiva, the destined ruler of the Sugiura Race.

In this form, Watarus armor is able to withstand a large deal of punishment, and directly enhances his physical performance, making him able to move at intense speed and strike with even stronger force. Every hit from this form has about the power of the normal Dogga Hammer. Also, this armor gives him the 'King's Eye', the ability to see the true form of things, making him able to see through illusions and fake bodies, as well as attacks that do something that they don't look like. This makes it way harder to decieve Emperor Kiva and forces one into direct combat.
Furthermore, Tatsulot is able to evoke the 'Fever' modes of the weapons Kiva wields.
Wake Up Fever: This technique evokes two red bat-wings on Emperor Kivas legs, and upon executing a flying kick with both legs, the wings trike repeatedly with sharp and piercing tips to penetrate armor, before releasing a final shock of Reiatsu to push the victim back, together with the trademark bat-symbol bursting out and onto whatever is behind the target. This is dubbed as Watarus 'strongest attack', and takes more out of him than the other Fever moves.
Garulu Fever: A second blade made out of flames shoots out of the backside of the handle, with the actual blade also clad in flames, before striking the enemy with explosive and burning hit slashes. The fastest of all Fever moves.
Dogga Fever: The hammer releases a ball of concentracted electricity which is then hurled at the opponent with a strike of the hammer, paralyzing an opponent should it hit. Afterwards, Emperor Kiva closes in and strikes with the hammer and his full power to crush the enemy. The ball is the size of a normal wrecking ball.
Bassha Fever: In this form, Bassha can summon the water needed for it's finisher without it being near, even in deserts, and releases a magnitude of Cero-strength water-beams upon pulling the trigger of this finishing move.

Alter Form

Since he currently doesn't have his Kyuu Kyou accessable, his Alter form is also inactive.

Alter Appearance: Alter Wataru and Wataru look completely identical, only their personalities differ.

Alter Personality: Alter Wataru is a cruel, manipulating and envious individual. He is the mask and bitterness of Kusaka tenfolded, just that it is his actual personality - he hates it not to be in the middle, or to be ignored, more than anything else. Since his actual fighting ability exceeds that of the original Wataru, he calls himself the 'true king', and wants to crush all those that stand in the way of his complete and final rule. It goes without saying that being ruled by him would be the worst nightmare of the Sugiura.

Alter Powers: Alter Wataru has the exact same powerset, however, he can't use the Roots of the King, or the Dirty Blue Blood, meaning that he is forced to use Kiva to fight. He is, however, able to use magic with great efficiency. He is said to know every single magic spell in existance, and can even use low-level Kido, though he hates to degrade himself to using it, calling it 'impure' for a Sugiura to use Kido. Still, his racial limitations apply - he can't use magic not made by the Sugiura Race. His Kido, naturally, is limited to the lower 30 levels.

C.O.D.E. N.A.M.E. KAIXA

The arrival of the golden knight, Kaixa, was prophetized in a long forgotten age.
The three belts, also known as King Belts, were forged by a long forgotten race long before the Sugiura claimed the lands of the Guardian Beasts as their own under their mother Shimura. When the Sugiura discovered them, the old technology was worn out, damaged, destroyed - only in the recent years was it possible for them to re-activate the belts and repair them with the help of the Hashiamatsujiyuu, their allies on earth. Kaixa, also known as the second belt, surpasses the first belt, Faiz, in raw strength and mobility, but is generally harder to use and more draining on the user. The current holder of the belt is Kusaka Masato Wataru Kurenai Sugiura himself.

The Gear: The actual Kaixa Gear consists out of many different objects, all shaped by the Hashiamatsujiyuu to fit into everyday life - sadly, with a motiv of the old 21th century, since that was the age they started working on repairing the gears. Changing the shape of the objects would be way too expensive today. The Gear includes:
Kaixa Driver: A belt that is designed to work with the Kaixa Phone. It acts as a generator for Photon Blood, the material constructed out of raw Reiatsu, which furthermore produces the Sol Foam, Sol Metal and Fullmetal Lungh pieces of the armor. The other pieces of the Kaixa Gear can be stored on the belt.
Kaixa Phone: A 'sideways flip' cellphone that works as the controlling unit of the Gear, with the Mission Memory stored on it. Entering the code '9-1-3' and hitting Enter will let the phone exclaim 'Ready', after which it is slided into the belt to generate the armor. Entering specific three-digit codes, Kaixa can turn the phone into an energy gun that either fires single shots or one massive burst of small shots. This has a five second recharge. Also, hitting Enter is needed to activate Exceed Charge, the special moves of his Gear.
Kaixa Shot: Designed to look similliar to an old digital camera, this is a knuckle-duster used by Kaixa in the right hand. After sliding the Mission Memory into it and hitting Enter on the Phone, a massive blunt strike is executed, releasing raw energy right into the victim to crush their bones and internal organs. Strong armor can help against this. This is called Grand Impact.
Kaixa Blaygun: The only equipment-part not looking like an every-day object from the 21th Century. It can be used as a handgun, shaped like the greek letter Chi "X", and fires energy bullets at a maximum speed of Mach 10, it can fire single shots and short bursts. If the Mission Memory is inserted into it, a blade out of Sol Glass will extend. This weapon does not actually cut the enemy like a normal sword, but discharges energy upon contact that disrupts the enemies flow of Reiatsu and burns them like a lightsaber. The Exceed Charge of this weapon releases an energy net from the gun, and should it hit, it will paralyze the enemy. After this, Kaixa storms at the opponent, and a glowing, yellow X bend inwards towards the opponent appears. Kaixa literally rips right through the enemy, turning into energy himself for a brief moment, disrupting the enemy on a molecular level. A hit with this can cause severe injuries or simply tear an enemy into pieces. This is called Xeno Clash.
Kaixa Binoculars: Looking like binoculars, this weapon gets attached to the right leg of Kaixa. The Exceed Charge releases a golden energy drill that freezes the enemy into place, and unless they break free fast enough, Kaixa will enter the energy drill, transform into a semi-energy form with a double-leg kick and attempt to drill right through the enemy. This can be defended against and deflected, but this feat requires high physical strength. This move is the deadliest of Kaixa, able to tear an enemy into pieces thanks to disrupting everything that holds them together. This is called Gold Smash. The approximated speed of the Gold Smash is 4000 spins in the second, making it even faster than the famed Seele Schneider.
Kaixa Watch: A watch attached to Kaixas left arm that holds the Time Memory, used to access Kaixas Break Form. Further down are more details on that form.

General Abilities: Besides the finishing moves described above, the Kaixa Armor has general abilities and strengthening properties described here:
Once transformation is completed, the Kaixa Armor has several key features in its design to protect protection to the user. Like all gear, the Kaixa armor manifests when the Kaixa Driver generates Photon Blood, A glowing substance generates the soft Sol Foam suit, Sol Metal armor, and Fullmetal Lung chest armor via traveling through the two yellow Photon Streams lines that gives Kaixa greater strength at the cost of speed. The steams end at the Photon Terminals at the gauntlets and Power Anklet greaves, the right Anklet having a Energy Holster that the Kaixa Pointer can be connected it. The helmet is unique due to its Global Feeler antenna to link up to the Hashiamatsujiyuus networks and the X Finder visor that gives Kaixa incredible vision to see in darkness, giving the illusion of a glowing eye, and a limited amount of x-ray vision.
Estimated power output: Punching power 3t, Kicking power 7t

Break Form: Inserting the Time Memory into his Phones slot, and hitting the button on the watch, Kusaka can transform his armor into Break Mode. In this, his speed vastly increases at the cost of defense, and at the same time, his energy output, making his moves stronger and more devastating. Break Form can stay up for a maximum of 5 minutes (1-2 posts maximum), and during this, Kaixa can use a magnitude of Gold Smash kicks or Xeno Clash attacks, making this devastating in ofence, and greatly lacking in defense.

Accel Form Appearance:

Companion Mecha/Bike: Designated "SB-913V", the Side Basshar is motorcycle with AI and attached side-car, designed especially as a back up for Kaixa. It can transform from a motorcycle into a A.I. controlled combat walker. Once it transforms, its size dramatically increases. Adjusted to modern times, Side Basshar can indeed fly by producing 'fake ground' using spiritual output.

Jet Sliger: The Jet Sliger is a large combat motorcycle made by the Hashiamatsujiyuu to support Faiz, Kaixa and Delta.
The Jet Sliger's unique design gives it unparalleled speed, maneuverability and firepower for a vehicle of its size. However, its open cockpit yields little defense, intended to be operated by one wearing a Kamen Rider Gear, providing its own protection. It has 5 powerful jet engines that can drive it forward at speeds approaching 1300 km/h and 3 large maneuvering thrusters on each side to allow speedy turns or fast sideways movement. Its wheels can rotate 90° left or right on their axis, allowing the Jet Sliger to drive sideways or spin 360° on the spot. It is also able to fly, hover and travel underwater. It can also be operated by remote.
The Jet Sliger also mounts an impressive array of weapons. It has a high powered Photon Cannon mounted above the front wheel, and a concealed missile rack on either side of the cannon. Each missile rack fires 8 Virtual Intelligence multistage sidewinder mini-missiles, that in turn split into a further 8 micro-missiles (64 in total) with a range of 2400 meters. This is combined with its open cockpit design that not only facilitates rapid mounting and dismounting , but also allows a Rider to use their personal weapons too. This feature can also be seen as a weakness, as it leaves the pilot (less important, since it was designed to be piloted by those wearing heavily armoured Rider Gears) and the control interface vulnerable.
It is powered by the user pumping Reiatsu through the control units, firing up a clean and intensely powerfull fission generator. Approximate maximum runtime: 1000 years. Danger of explosion: Zero. The missiles are also funnelled by the Reiatsu of the driver.

Kaixa Blaster: Supposedly, the Kaixa Gear was not finished when it vanished from the lab. Still, the final part of Equipment was supposedly finished, but all records on the so called 'Blaster' were closed, all copies destroyed, so the only person today knowing of it's existance and location is Johnathan Walker. Using this advanced piece of technology to further upgrade the repaired ancient technology, Kaixa would supposedly be able to access it's maximum power, surpassing both his normal and Break form.

Past & Roleplay Sample

Character Background: Kusaka was born many millenia ago, as the second child of the Sugiura Queen, Misaiko, and the original king, Kurenai Otoya. Being the younger brother to Saeko Sugiura, the young princess of their people, Wataru was always a very shy, but also kind boy. He tried hard, even as a little kid, to become as strong and confident as his father, and admired him more than anyone else. During his childhood and early teenage-stages, at least that would be the best comparison to a human, he was generally known to be easily frightened, and his older sister actually protected him on many occasions. Back then, Saeko was still like an angel send down from the heavens, but when she got injured one day protecting Wataru from a Guardian Beast - in another failed attempt of him gaining one - the boy started to change.
Nearly over night, Wataru decided one thing - he would become stronger. Fighting against his own kind nature, the teenage price finally took up fighting training - not having a Sacred, he instead picked up weaponless fighting, which was still rather unrefined compared to today, but none the less hard to learn and deadly if mastered. In short time, his adept skills surpassed the weaponless combat abilities of his fathers first guard and best friend, the legendary servant Archer.
Still, he was lacking the most important thing needed to obtain true power - his own Sacred Blade. He was unable to create one, no matter how hard he tried, and finally, one night, Wataru sneaked out of the castle - alone, into the lands of the Guardian Beasts. Unkown to him, his father actually followed, but didn't stop him - with his own spirit, Kivat the Second, following him.

Strangely enough, the land of the Guardian Beasts was devoid of any activity. Feeling drawn into a cave deep inside of a humid forest, the young prince stopped infront of a sword in a stone - the holy blade, Excalibur. But this was not the thing that called him here - furthermore, it was the small bat-like creature that flew down from the ceiling of the cavern, and introduced himself as Kivat Bat the Third, son of Otoyas spirit - and the one who would chose the successor to the throne.

Originally, the king was meant to be picked by an old race of Guardian Beasts, the Kivat Bats. They had a special sense that made them able to tell who would be fit as a new king for the Sugiura, thanks to a strange connection of their race to Shimura. Therefore, nobody really expected the weak first son of the queen, Wataru, to become the next king - until this night.
Telling him that he could be the next king if he truely wanted to, Kivat asked the prince to touch the hilt of Excalibur to seal the pact forever. Hesitating not one moment, Wataru grabbed onto the hilt with his right hand. A bright light was seen, a scream from the prince, and on the back of his right hand, it appeared - the mark of the King, the royal crest of the Sugiura. And with that, Wataru Kurenai Sugiura became the true successor to the throne.

With this moment, everything changed for Kusaka. With the royal crest carved onto him, his natural growth was intense, but even more than that, Kivat was a special kind of Guardian Beast. With him, he was able to access all of his stages, including Kyuu Kyou, right after obtaining it - and thus, from that day on, Wataru had to fight with Alter Wataru for control, but was able to keep the self-rightous fake prince sealed inside of his soul.
Training with his father, who was also known as Dark Kiva, Archer, and last but not least, Gilgamesh, the king of heroes, Wataru quickly rose to great strength amongst the Sugiura - from a prince, to a martial artist, to a true warrior. During those times, the second daughter of Misaiko, known as Mari Sugiura, was growing up, with her older brother and Saeko being great older siblings for her. During these times, the shy Wataru finally was confident in himself, but still very humble, making him well loved in wide parts of the fast growing Sugiura race. For a time, everything seemed to be at total peace.
Given by the Kivat Bats, there was a prophecy during that time regarding the Kings of the Sugiura race.

Chaos should only strike years later, though. Recieving her blade, the darkness within gave birth to Tenkou - going on a destructive rage, Otoya, Saeko and Wataru could only watch, saving as many lives as they could, but many lifes were lost on that day. They would've been forced to strike Tenkou down, but a warrior in brown robes appeared, wielding a weapon of legends - Caliburn, the holy sword.
Cutting away the darkness and sealing Tenkou into Misaikos own spirit, the warrior disappeared, but not without leaving behind the great secrets of magic that would later give birth to Boundary Fields and all other kinds of magic the clan uses till this day. Sadly, Kusaka showed zero talent in it - while his inner dark side greedily swallowed all knowledge, and shockingly, showed massive talent in it. As one of the 'tamer' Alters, though, Alter Wataru was thought to be actually usefull in combat.
The Sugiura race recovered from this horrible incident, thankfully. Recovering fully, the queen resumed her gentle and kind rule, but sadly, once again, the peace wasn't everlasting, and the prophecy seemed to come true, as rebellions and wars threatened to plunge their people into darkness.

Taking up arms, Otoya, Wataru, Archer and Gilgamesh led many armies into battles, but nobody noticed the slow changes in Gilgamesh, the king of heroes, and Archers best friend. As their war waged on, Otoya, Wataru and Archer became heroes to all people, saving even enemy soldiers whenever they could, all for the unity of their people, and the heroic ideals of Archer that shined brighter than any angel ever could.
Returning from the war, having seen many horrible things and deaths, Wataru, Otoya, Archer and Gilgamesh were now veterans, battle-hardened men, and possibly some of the first to truely understand the suffering of the Warrior. Finally earning some peace and quiet, Wataru was greeted back by his two sisters, Saeko and Mari, who finally had obtained her own Guardian Beast - Kivara, a female Kivat Bat. Celebrating that with his siblings and parents, Wataru could slowly start to forget the bad memories of wars.

However, the past didn't let go of the prince. Nightmare plagued him every night, nightmares of his whole family dying. Finally taking up his concerns with these shockingly real seeming dreams to Shimura, his grandmother and founder of the Eastern Branch to which he belonged, she expressed great concern - she was convinced that the will of the Sugiura Blood and the Guardian Beasts lineage were acting through the prince and showing him the dark fate coming at them. Shimura tried to calm the confused mind of the vampiric Sugiura, telling him to always follow his heart instead of reasoning and logic, then he could surpass any crisis and bring back peace.

It was two weeks after this talk with Shimura that another war was ignited, nearly out of nowhere. Wataru, Otoya and Archer set out to stop this meaningless conflict once more, but strangely enough, Gilgamesh was nowhere to be found. Archers guess was that his friend was on the search for a new legendary weapon to add to his collection, but the truth was far more sinister.
Upon meeting the rebellous army, it was clear that the royal army far surpassed the rebels in numbers, weapons and general strength. A stalemate ensued, since neither the king nor Archer wished for useless conflict, but in the night, a sneak-attack hit their camp - while protecting his father from a poisoned dagger, Wataru was hit by it and knocked out. The poison was not strong enough to kill him, but he was still deemed unable to fight and send back to the palace with an escort - however, this was quickly decided before Otoya and Archer had any real way to confirm the attackers identity. Afterwards, what happened is unknown to anyone but Otoya and Archer.

Wataru himself, when waking up back at the palace, was greeted by a very worried Mari and Kivara, her own Guardian Beast from the Kivat race. She sensed that something terrible was going on - not just with their father, but with the whole kingdom. Terrible omens of destruction appeared before her inner eye.
Absorbing the last bit of poison in his body with his abilities, Kusaka determined his course of action. Any logical reason and thought pointed at following his father immedeatly again - because he knew the identity of those assassins. The elite-soldiers of Gilgamesh. They had been backstabbed. However, the dark omens in his dreams told him to stay at the palace - he felt a darkness creeping nearer.
Silencing his hearts warnings, Wataru set out to follow his father. This was when the fall of the prince started - he disregarded Shimuras words of wisdom.
Arriving at the site of the battle, a true horror showed itself to the prince. The whole town of the rebels had been annihilated - no single person was left alive, and no trace of his father as far as his eyes could reach. The only survivor, barely even able to breathe, was none other than Archer, the Servant and friend of Otoya. Neither of them knew if Otoya survived, or where he was - but Gilgamesh was obviously a traitor. Rushing back home into the capital city, after Archer told him to go on ahead, a terrible feeling creeped through Watarus entire body.
Instinctively, he searched for Mari, his younger sister - but she couldn't be found. Her bodyguard, one of Watarus best friends, was also missing. Searching for them for nearly two days straight, he found them finally in a forest of the Guardian Beasts - but he was too late.

What he found was not his smiling, kind sister, but a corpse stabbed through with mutliple swords. Kusakas best friend was barely alive still, being skewered by a magnitude of spears. His last words were 'I am sorry', before life left him. Exploding into a fit of rage, the prince attacked the laughing man in golden armor, able to drive Gilgamesh back. The king of heroes escaped, and just as Wataru freed the body of his dead sister from the weapons, shedding tears of anger and terrible regret, he suddenly was surrounded by weapons and knocked out.

The next thing he knew, he was at court, being framed for the killing of his own sister. Gilgamesh bought the loyalty of the judges and some elders, so even Shimura couldn't go against them - the king was most likely dead, just like the youngest princess, causing major turmoils in the streets. The only hope was... to judge someone guilty of this. And Gilgamesh did everything in his power to lead all suspicions onto Wataru.
Being charged guilty, no matter how hard he protested, Wataru finally decided to fight for his right of freedom, and broke the chains holding him with his powers that exceeded the king, Otoya, only to suddenly find himself inside of a boundary field made by Shimura.

'I am sorry.'

Darkness surrounded the prince for aeons. Unable to see, hear, or feel anything, time was passing and passing - his body was originally planned to be sealed into a human one, but his intense Sugiura blood had proven too much to render him powerless, so the highest punishment of all was spoken upon him - eternal sealing inside of a keystone in the dungeon under the Sugiura Castle with the Boundary Field of the Wind God.
Kusaka begged, screamed, went mad and then sane again, as the millenia passed. It was only three years ago that the seal was finally broken.
Breaking down to the ground as the keystone was destroyed, finally breathing again for the first time in so long, he saw the slightly smiling face of his older sister, Saeko, reaching out her right hand and helping Kusaka stand up.
He felt incredibly weak, and after explaining the rough situation to him, Saeko gave a suitcase to her brother - the Kaixa Gear - to protect him. Why she saved him at the risk of being discovered by her mother, who still is in dispute with her, or took the risk of stealing all of the Kaixa Gear from the Hashia, is unknown to anyone but herself.

Escaping to the human world, Kusaka now roams the streets of the cities, searching for his purpose and point in life. One of his major goals is to get his old powers and Guardian Beast back onto his side, together with destroying Gilgamesh - and taking revenge upon Shimura. He doesn't hate his mother, since he knows that if there had been a chance for her to free him, she would've done so - most likely, most of the Sugiura still thought that the punished prince was forever sealed away.
But now is his time to rewrite history, and set things right.
