Name: Daigoro Ito
Nickames: He-Who-Is-Covered-In-Blood; Platinum Wall; Fruit-Boy
True Age: 830 years, as of the 29th of December, 2411.
Appearance Age: 24
Gender: Male (Mostly)
Height: 5’11 (180.34 cm)
Weight: 68kg (150 lb)
Blood Type: AB+
Class: Knight
Personality: At a first glance, Daigoro Ito would appear to be a man of many different moods and mind-sets—much like any other being, but in a strange way. If one was to speak to him, they would see him possibly change personality several times throughout the conversation, depending on how he had been spoken to. A firm believer in equality and balance, he feels that if someone’s willing to do something to you, then they should be prepared to take what they gave. If one was to speak kindly to him, then he would speak kindly back - and vice versa. If someone was to attack him in a form of anger, then he would defend himself with some form of anger back, although most likely without the same strength and proper rage behind it - one who knows Daigoro personally knows him as a greatly benevolent individual, who rarely tries to harm others without very good reason. Upon meeting him for the first time, one’s first impressions can be quite good—Dai is easy to trust those he meets, but also quite quick to change his opinion on someone, depending on their actions. If he does not mind you, his face will be a kindly one, his lips turned up in a smile. Anything else will bring forth a neutral expression.
Daigoro has a crazy ideal. His ideal is that all life upon this planet, and within all the realms, is equal. All lives are to be saved, unless they have chosen to act in a way that doesn’t deserve their existence; ‘evil’ people do not get the chance at retribution, unless they have proven that they will attempt to fix their ways. He doesn't try to choose who lives and dies—he hates the idea of judging the fate of another being on the same level—however, he will always choose to protect those that he cares about with more strength than he would if he were attempting to protect someone that was not close to him. Innocents and the weak will always be an exception to that scale. That said, Dai is, or attempts to be, unbiased in all of his opinions, and tries to take in both sides of the story of an argument. He refuses to act upon menial accusations, finding them ‘petty’ and ‘worthless’. He will also not hesitate to strike down a Hollow, finding their base instinct ‘horrid’. Arrancar are a different story, as they have gained the power to choose their path.
Having found a place to call his own, his way of acting towards orders has changed, once more. He will gladly follow any order that his King gives him, as well as any order from someone as high as or higher than her on the scale. Being a Knight, he attempts to put honor and chivalry before anything else, allowing his enemies the chance to be defeated while facing forwards, with a weapon in their hands. Orders are orders, yet he will be very resistant to orders that go against his morals, honor and duty to his King.
At one point in time, Daigoro was just an empty shell of a man. His morals, being the only thing he could rely on in this world, took him places that hurt him and those around him. He hated it, so he shut himself down. He hid himself away from people, trying not to associate with humanity. One would think him bitter, cynical and jaded. This changed, however, with the sudden appearance of Kameko through the gate. Arrested for the crimes he had committed, he was placed into a gaol and left to his own thoughts. He could quite easily allow himself to be killed, and that was the only thing on his mind when put before Queen Misaiko. At that point, Daigoro Ito was at his lowest, but that was also the time when he pulled back up. He shook off this depression—he still occasionally has existential crises, but they are few and far between.
The best kinds of dreams are the unattainable kind; and Dai’s dream is no exception. His dream, having being built up through his life, has grown to be a wish for peace. He wants to stop the wars, end the struggles, and attempt to have all life live in harmony with one-another, rather than attempting to kill each other. He believes that all beings have the power to do such a thing, and will often try and convince them as such if he feels like he can. He knows that some have a deep-seated evil, however. He is not naïve: he already knows that this dream is completely impossible. He already knows that justice will not prevail, and that they will have to become Demons to kill those Demons at their gates. He has already made this choice, but that dream is what lights up the battles.
In battle, Daigoro knows that he can take most of what others can throw at him. This has made him slightly more reckless, and yet also benevolent to the point of seeming arrogant. If he sees that he might end up injuring others more than they would need or be able to heal from properly, he will refuse to fight someone, unfortunately seeming arrogant to them. His general dislike for fighting is usually removed when he actually gets into the fight itself, losing his usual benevolent self to the heat and adrenaline that the ride to possible death causes. He may enter the fight with the intention of simply defending himself, however he will almost always end up attempting to overwhelm his opponent with an almost feral and indomitable style.
When he follows any lead in his research, he will follow any lead that he is given. He says that, instead of losing a good lead, he will always follow what he is given. Even if the lead was a wild goose chase for him, and he wasted his time doing it, it will always be worth it to the Sugiura. Daigoro also has a hefty air of nonchalance, almost boredom, about him. It's not the same as this “arrogance”, but it's rather similar. If you take a first look at him, he doesn't appear to care. In fact, it almost always seems that way. However, it is not quite as simple as that. He tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves, but he has learned to control himself enough that he keeps calm when he has to. His face will almost always tell you everything that he’s feeling at the time, however.
Normally, Dai is exceedingly loyal to those he has sworn his loyalties to. Unfortunately, this loyalty to others has been shattered a lot by the recollection of his morals, and he seeks someone to be loyal to, trying to find all the right places for it to happen. Because of these morals, he was always dreading the moment when he would have to make the choice. He made his choice the first time, and found himself in K-World. He then chose again, finding himself a rogue, on the run from the world. However, a third choice has granted him something new—an opportunity to work with beings that desire nothing but an end to the war. Their morals fit in line with his, and he feels happy for that. Nothing has pleased him more than finding this, and knowing that there’s somewhere in the world that he fits into.
He is also generally sarcastic and joking, however he is never malicious towards someone unless he sees some side of them that he doesn't like. He automatically locks onto the good within people, no matter whom they are, and will reject somebody if he sees no retrievable good in their heart. His one dream is peace, as mentioned before, and he will do anything to make that goal possible - except for merciless or undeserved killing.
When in battle, Daigoro is careful around his opponents. He will try to goad them into attacking him first, and use his immense defensive strength to his advantage. Although he is normally rather quick to activate Joushou, this is usually in order to bring out more randomness and flexibility in battle as opposed to releasing his powers. In fact, Daigoro is highly unlikely to attack in the first place, taking his time in order to discern what the next plan of attack would be, or what the best idea for defending is. However, when he is finally forced to take up proper arms, he switches tactics often, moving from hand-to-hand to weapon and back quite often, in order to confuse his opponents into slipping up. He is a very psychological fighter, using that defense to cause them to anger more, pull out their more powerful weapons and give him more to work with and fight with. It’s also a good fear tactic against some opponents—there are very few beings that won’t get at least somewhat scared of him once he’s taken a few hundred of their attacks.
Daigoro's mental and physical will is also at an amazing level; and if he was to be told that there were insurmountable odds against him... he'd still press on. He’d stand there, take whatever came at him, and yet he would make sure that he survived to live for another day. If he has something to live for, he will refuse to allow himself to die.General Appearance
Appearance: The first thing that you would see if you were to look at Daigoro Ito would be that he doesn't look like someone who would be “The One Who Walked The Path Of Blood”, or “The Platinum Wall”. His entire figure is slender and slim, with very few muscles despite the years of physical training that his body has gone through. His right arm, despite the rest of his body, is a slightly different tone of skin color to the rest, and also slightly atrophied; but this proves no difficulty for Daigoro's skills with a sword or any other weapon, for that matter. If one were to strip away the layers of clothing that covered his body, they'd be able to see just how light the flesh that covers his body just is; and then they'd find themselves entranced. For up the center of Daigoro's lower back is a large scar, crossing from the right side of his body to the left with a single cut; an inch wide, a foot long. While this scar is normally hidden by the man's hair, it can usually be revealed by a quick turn of his head. Daigoro's Reiatsu is usually a mixture between white and red, and appears to be crackling like electricity.
Dai wears his emotions on his face, and his sleeves, and all over his body, basically. If he is feeling an emotion, he will not hide it from anyone. In fact, he finds it difficult to do so. His eyes, of a deep red hue, are always looking into the distance, staring out over the horizon. If one were to look deeper into these eyes, they'd see the welled up emotion that existed within the orbs. These eyes always have an appearance of wishful thinking, but no regret. There is a powerful strength behind that emotion that can really only be seen when Daigoro himself is riled up by something, or prepared to die for what he's doing. The hair that hands down from his head is a darker and deeper shade of red than his eyes, and seems to flow like a river as he moves. The hair itself is not a natural color, and should have reverted to it's original color by now, but has not, for some reason. It also hides a lot of Daigoro's scars and what he would like to hide. This hair used to reach his feet, but at one point he cut it shorter, causing it to now only reach about his tailbone in length. His facial expression is almost always benevolent, with a kind stare emanating from him despite anything that may or may not be happening.
There is almost always a weak scent of lavender coming from Daigoro's body, something that he himself has not been able to explain despite his hardest attempts to do so. It is not an aphrodisiac, nor is it anything that could affect those around him. It's hard to explain, really; it could possibly be the shampoo or soap that he uses on his body, or it could be just some strange phenomena that occurs around this redheaded individual, but nobody can really explain it completely. As well as that, his entire body has a soft glow around it when he's not in Joushou or Zenou, but that is explained by the natural Kidō resistance that he had earned from his Sacred.
Daigoro walks with a slow and casual gait, not really seeming to be heading anywhere, but not just ambling along either. He almost seems to be keeping an eye out for anything that might possibly occur, but one can never be really sure with Dai; there are things that seem to be enigmas about this man's very existence, and if you tried to explain everything that you could about Daigoro, you would be stuck for a very long time trying to work out exactly what you were looking for.
Every part of his clothing has been customized for Daigoro to use in terms of self-understanding, and as such, he holds rather high value to this uniform that he wears. Among the various motifs that cover the clothing, the heart is rather prominent. This is because of Dais' devotion to the heart itself, as a muscle of both life and love; something that someone could damage in more than one way in order to leave the other dead, or at the point where death seems like the greatest option for them. There are several other motifs in this clothing, but they won't be explained here.
Now, when Daigoro chooses to summon forth his Sugiura Knight's armor, he will take on a strange appearance. He retains most of his usual looks, however a golden armor will cover his clothing. The armor has red highlights, with a pair of horns up the sides of his head. A large, white, fluffy cover is also on his head, but he chooses whether or not he wants to keep that.
Animalistic Traits: Daigoro's animalistic traits are unusual. They aren't apparently visible, instead existing as boons to his body. Each of Dai's senses are enhanced; he has better vision and hearing, as well as animal-like instincts. However, he doesn’t seem to have a better sense of smell.Natural Abilities
Personal Statistics:
Inhuman/Godlike Durability: Daigoro is strange. Although most Sugiura at his level hold a relatively high level of physical durability and defense, Daigoro holds more. The level of physical durability that Daigoro has allows him to take physical and spiritual attacks that would leave most on the ground or unconscious and walk away nigh on unharmed, and if the attack is weak enough, not even shifted from his standing position. This is not to say that he isn't harmed, he just is less likely to be injured by any attacks. No characters below tier 1-1 are, in practice, able to harm Daigoro physically. His general resistance is slightly lowered against energy attacks, however.
Inhuman Stamina: In order to maintain his physical durability, Daigoro needs a lot of energy. Because of this, the amount of energy that his body has is staggeringly high, but not infinite. This stamina allows him to continue in battle (and bed) for a lot longer than most Sugiura before tiring. This has increased further, allowing him to continue fighting for at least three times as long as most would before tiring.
High Pain Threshold: Daigoro, after training his body over the years, has found himself with the mentality to be able to ignore high levels of pain. Although it still hurts and he still feels it, the actual pain itself is ignored by Daigoro, and eventually recedes to a dull throb in the back of his mind.
Advanced Hand-to-Hand Combat: As a former member of the Second Division, Daigoro discovered that a lot of his strength lay in the use of hand-to-hand combat, or Hakuda, in battle. Because of this, he has developed a high level of skill in the art, although that has waned a little since his return to, and subsequent desertion of, the Kokuryuteshi.
Advanced Weapons Skills: Due to the nature of his Sacred, Daigoro is required to be able to understand how to use and wield proficiently a large variety of bladed and non-bladed weaponry. Although he isn't as skilled as he could be, he has enough skill to be able to use them well enough.
Techinques:
Tota Defensio/A Total Defense: It should be known that Daigoro Ito is a defense-based warrior. In fact, many would find that to be their greatest advantage, developing techniques to undermine Daigoro's defense, as if it were some spell or physical boon gained through artifice. However, this is not true. As Daigoro's defense is truly natural, it cannot go below its base level: attempts at shutting down his defensive capabilities will always fail, no matter what, as there is no ability involved.
Nature of Duality; Energy Signature Check: A unique trait of Daigoro's, earned when he split his own soul in two. Due to his own dual nature as a Sugiura-Shinigami, Daigoro was able to trick those who weren't Sugiura into thinking that he was a Shinigami (not purposefully). This also explains why his Guardian Beast allows him access to powers that seem exceedingly similar to that of a Shinigami's, namely the releases of a "Zanpakutō" in his Sacred forms.
Instinct: Because of his understanding of his animal side, Daigoro is able to use the senses that he's gained, and have what could simply be called an animalistic 'sixth sense'. Bordering on precognition, Daigoro is able to sense the path of best battle result for him, and attempt to take it. That said, although he is able to sense it, it doesn't mean that he is going to be able to get past any possible threats. With this understanding, one would think of Daigoro's version of [Instinct] being one in the same as the one belonging to his King, Arturia. However, while Arturia's has been honed through battle, Daigoro's is more natural and animal-like.
Anchor: In order to add to the heavily psychological style of battle that Daigoro fights with, he has gained an ability that allows him to stabilize himself in battle. By sending long tendrils of spiritual energy into the ground, he can intertwine his presence into the earth and increase his standing position. Although Daigoro's usual standing resistance to force exceeds that of almost every spiritual being in the world, this effectively increases his basic force resistance to a point of being able to stand up against almost any hit without moving. Of course, he cannot move while using this ability and if the ground beneath his feet is disturbed enough, it will knock him back anyway.
Kōka o Herasu/Reducing the Effects: When sealed, Daigoro's Sacred takes a small amount of spiritual energy from Daigoro's personal source - a negligible amount. This amount is made into a small and thin barrier around Daigoro's body, protecting him from Reiatsu-based attacks. This will allow him to physically ignore any Reiatsu-based attack up until the strength of Kidō 75. This is disabled when he enters Joushou However, this only applies to any THREE energy attacks that hit Dai in a cluster, and it is usually the three most powerful, leaving the rest to hit his body unabated.
Ikorosu Hyakutou "Shubi"/Nine Lives "Defense": In legend there existed a warrior that created a powerful sword technique, one that was meant to kill someone nine times in a instant. This warrior was a close friend to Daigoro Ito, he was the man who helped him gain Bankai. The man noted that Daigoro was more suited for the role of defender, rather than killer. So he decided to vary from his original sword technique. Taking the original targets; the upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, rib, testicles, and thighs, as well as the heart; attacks intended to kill the target a total of nine times in an instant, he developed Shubi. Unlike Nine Lives, Shubi however is meant to defend.
He doesn't so much defend nine places at once, as opposed to understanding these nine places simultaneously, and defending accordingly. Daigoro uses his own animal-like senses instincts to judge these nine places to defend his body. Upon blocking the first attack, he sends the opposing force back at nine times the original force of the attack. On the second block it sends it back at eight times the force, the 3rd block sends the attack back 7 times the force, and so on, and so forth. This is a pattern, one where each block shall keep sending the attack back stronger, but the power of it weakens over time, making it better for rapid groups of blocks. This ability is best to start off with, as powerful this move seems, this is more to scare off the opponent from further attacking, thus preventing Daigoro from falling into the role of killer than defender. One post use, two cooldown.
When used against it's sister ability, Nine Lives (Blade Works), the effect is simply cancelled, as opposed to sending back force, due to the duality of these abilities.
Knights of the Round; An Honorable Knight's Pledge: The ultimate showing of a Knight's Honor to his King, this is an ability that Daigoro can only use when battling alongside Arturia Pendragon, wishing to defend her with all of his might. Bringing out a small orb of energy, he throws it into the air, jumping up and cutting through it with whatever weapon he is carrying on him at the moment. A bright light erupts from the orb, magical circles spreading out from around the orb. Dropping to the Earth, Daigoro is surrounded by twelve soldiers, all of them heavily armored and prepared for battle. Taking a single step back, he targets one enemy and one enemy only, targeting them precisely for this attack.
With the order given, the Twelve Knights force themselves off of the position, each attacking the target with fervent preparations. Each of the knights are 1-1+, and have a separate attack style, attacking in turn and in order.
Sir Galahad: Attacks the target with a longsword.
Sir Tristam: Attacks the target with a lance.
Sir Lamorak de Galis: Attacks the target with fire-based magic.
Sir Gaheris: Attacks the target with a mace.
Sir Kay: Attacks the target with a longsword.
Sir Geraint: Attacks the target with a hammer.
Sir Gareth: Attacks the target with ice-based magic.
Sir Bors de Ganis: Attacks the target with a trident.
Sir Percivale: Summons a comet down upon the target.
Sir Bedivere: Attacks the target with a naginata.
Sir Gawain: Attacks the target with a battleaxe.
Sir Lancelot: Attacks the target with a mystical sword.
When the Knight's attacks hit, or are parried, they dissipate into spiritual energy, and are absorbed--not by Daigoro, but by Arturia herself, or at least her sword, Excalibur. The combined spiritual energy of the twelve knights are what is exactly needed for her to perform a single attack with the Promised Sword of Victory, Excalibur.
The primary weakness of this ability is the drain that it puts on Dai. Even though this ability is defense-minded, the fact that he summons twelve soldiers to fight with the same level of energy of a single Excalibur is extremely taxing on him--so much so, that he'll usually have to sit out for about two posts. This can only be used once per thread.
Magic:
Rho Aias; The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens: A defensive magic of the Sugiura. It takes the form of a seven-layered barrier in the shape of an iridescent flower with seven petals. Formed out of his palm, it is held in front of the user. Each layer has the defensive power of a fortress wall, however as it is necessary for the user to fill the barrier strong reiatsu, should the barrier be broken, the user will feel pain in accordance. Depending on the number of times it is used, this could be quite costly to the user, if they are not so much as an ounce careful in using this spell. One with a full powered Reiatsu could block off Strong Kidō Spells, Gran Rey Cero or a Cero Oscuras, because of the massive defensive walls created within each layer's structure. They can be broken depending on the strength. Another use for this spell is that it can be used to help block an attack before it reaches an ally or when they need extra energy behind their attack. By doing so they can utilize the spell to block off the attack on the opposite side of the opponent, while working as a extra layering around the allies attack; nullifying the opponent's attack, so the ally can use their own, making it one of the Sugiura's strongest defensive magic techniques.
However, Daigoro Ito is incapable of performing magic such as this, due to an incompatible physical build. He has compensated for this through the use of his Sacred in either Joushou or Zenou; when it is in its ashen form--the ash forms each of these petals, however Daigoro feels twice as much pain from each hit as previously--even though the barrier is twice as strong. Unfortunately, Daigoro can only form a maximum of four petals when using Rho Aias, again due to his low aptitude for magical attacks.
Sacred Weapon: Daigoro's Sacred retains the name of the Shinigami's Zanpakutō, Kanki Okami. Kanki Okami is a tanto, at approximately 20 centimetres long, less than one shaku. The blade design is simple and unobtrusive, with a slightly metallic sheen down the length of the blade and a strange wave-like design travelling along beside the edge. The hilt is strangely-patterned, with a hexagonal design covering the handle, which has been carved from whalebone. There is also a small medallion on the hilt itself, although Daigoro himself is unaware as to the origin or the purpose of this object; he simply takes it in his stride and accepts that it is there. When in the presence of Shinigami, it is referred to as a "Zanpakutō", along with the releases being known as "Shikai" and "Bankai". If he is required to use his Kyuu Kyou, he will make sure to call it a "side ability", in order to keep the illusion up.Guardian Beast
Origin: An Origin is what is the basis of your character. No, not a base form. An Origin is, at the purest form, what your character represents. Origins are anything and everything.
Guardian Beast: (This is the Beast that you summon. Once you say "Summon" followed by the Beast's name, the Guardian Beast shall appear from the inner world of your mind) Basically the Guardian Beasts are the Zanpakutō spirits to Sugiura Sacreds. they work in a similar manner and grant similar ablities as well.)
Guardian Beast's World: How does their world look. It can be noted that you can also visit your Guardian Beast's spirit realm to gain knowledge or train to reach a certain level.Joushou
Joushou Appearance:
Joushou: Joushou is the first stage of a Sugiura's power. This is like their Shikai. It is only tapping into a small percentage of their power, exactly 25%. It is mainly the form that they dream of, and it is up to the Guardian beast to decide if the wish is to be granted or not.Zenou
Zenou Appearance:
Zenou Abilities: This form is their version of Bankai. This takes many years to learn, and then many many more to perfect. This is only tapping into 50% of their power. Their speed, strength, stamina, and durability increases quite a bit.Kyuu Kyou
Kyuu Kyou Appearance:
Mystic Eyes: Something that only those that have achieved Kyuu Kyou can have. Mystic Eyes are something special about the user's eyes. They are usable in any form, but the realization of 100% of the user's power allowed for the user to gain a special ability that involves the eyes. See here for a temporary Mystic Eyes list.
Kyuu Kyou Abilities: The final stage of a Sugiura's power. This is 100% of their power, and their soul. Their abilities are increased substantially, and most of the time Kyuu Kyou is forbidden to be released. Few have mastered it, for it is so taxing to release it. It is manifested as the true form of one's soul.Alter Form
Alter Appearance: (What your Alter Form looks like. It has to have some resemblance to the original. You only get an Alter Form when you have Kyuu Kyou)
