» History Long ago in a land of jungles and elephants as plenty as India's very own fertile bosom, reigned an empire of many subjects of many ethnicities. The Khmer Empire had a strong foothold and a very solidified presence, their army so massive it shakes the ground with its march, so vast it drinks the rivers dry. The Khmer Empire was a vast monolith incapable of being taken down even by the aspirations of angry people. Regardless of the case, their forces were spread thin, and their goals were often squandered by the mighty army of the wizard king Indravarman II, who had an established bloodline of excellent performance of sorcery. His armies were phantoms to which he can compose at a moment's notice, unkillable yet can kill others. Hollow as they were see-through like the olden leader of the Yellow Turban rebellions, they have spurred fear in all but the bravest of the Thai.

The Thai were willing to consort with dark forces to aid them in their war against the wizard king of great prowess and many spells of the olden kind, in an age where in the Khmer Empire, magic was as plentiful and common as jungles were in Siam. Very much so a seen sight. Their people were poor, suffering and wanting independence, but how could they gain such things when there was nobody to turn to save the graces of a pitying stranger?

For such inadequacies they addressed with honeyed words and offers as they fought a losing war, one where despair took hold of them, and soon enough desperation. It was mired with the fear of being conquered again and worse, annihilation. Truly times were grim, were they to ascertain a deal with foreigners as to save them? Nay they say, for all they would do is trade one master for another, that their saviour must not be one to come from another cause, but to be the one to fight for their own cause.

Folklores from Cin told of Mao, the great abyssal one who fathered many bastards from his human mates, only to extinguish them when they gave birth, seeding the destruction of a dynasty with his rampant spawns many generations ago. Ridding the mandate of Heaven from a long forgotten dynasty, and bringing about their downfall with the sheer chaos wrought. His power was spoken of at lengths, his mastery in destruction unparalleled, with a skill in undoing empires that humans boast in. Of course, such a person that summoned him had been devoured as a tribute for this offering and so were his household of a host of servants.

The Thai had plans, designs as to summon this being of infernal might and hate, to sacrifice a man on the chance this chaotic entity would bring forth destruction to their greatest enemy, the Khmer Empire. It was a hopeless battle but alas, they were to actually summon something terrible during that fateful time to spur the legions of death and destruction from their very own poncy ways.

Meanwhile... politics in the demon world had made it so Shun Zahr, or so his shortened fake name goes given lengthy names demonstrate the power of a demon, has been eschewed and is often perverted into something of a kangaroo backstabber court where it is unnatural to actually find an honest demon, and odds are, they merely are plotting to do something horrible. Shun Zahr or so his name goes, is the half-breed descendant of his glorious demon father, Mao, and a human concubine infused with potent spiritual energy that be his mom. Shun Zahr was something of a kindly demon who resonated power wherever he goes, boasted nobility and also acted as a pride of the family. Taking upon the role as the avatar of Power and even having the opportunity to inherit the clan's leadership title that be the great Mao. Started from his father, and in due time when he retires, will be passed down to Shun Zahr himself as the first successor of the Idonenkal clan. One that in times long past acted as a retainer to the demon world's royalty, but long has branched away as their own noble entity.

Shun Zahr's brother though, Ygg (which is actually his full name), was seen as the shame of the family. The black sheep. He schemes, has racial tendencies and displays a huge problem with his half-brother's half-breed origin, given that such an old and prestigious clan as theirs needs to be pure regardless the spiritual presence that boils within him as superior to even than his own. His insolence knew no bound, even as his nature of being a primal demon was considered, he was far too insufferable to in fact consider him a legitimate successor to the demonic clan. Reversing him down all the way to the small role of being the 53rd in line in spite of his original succession of being the 2nd. Shun Zahr's ways were temperate with a steady hand and a considerate compassion, but it couldn't stem the rage that boiled from Ygg who sought to be the avatar of Power in title, and yet despite such things, he wasn't seen as ready as his short sighted ways will only bring the end of the clan. As cunning as he may be.

Now back to the human world, the situation was boiling and the war was being lost steadily. They invoked upon Mao the father, and Mao who tired of being summoned into the mortal world, in spite of the bountiful rewards that ensued, and the stories that came a plenty into increasing the clan's prestige of claiming many souls into Hell itself, had left the affairs to his son Shun Zahr completely. Much to the rest of the clan's surprise, even take the role of Mao. He was given complete freedom to operate as he pleases given it is the successor's duty to act upon a prompt specific towards the clan. Proudly he left, taking his half-sister with him and half the clan. Leaving behind Ygg whose small name denoted his small presence in the demon world. Singled out and alone in the city the clan is situated in, Éuh (that's literally the city name).

Shun Zahr in his quest to increase family prestige, instead opted to slaughter those that invoked them into summoning, despite the prestigious and pompous reception they got. From hosts of many luxurious items that only the most desperate and the bountiful people had would undertake just to damn their enemies, he would work for the Khmer Empire instead. Without even a care for their subjects, the Khmer Empire sacrificed many to attain the services of plenty of demons in their ranks, solidifying their hold in their territories and enrouching upon the Thai. And yet despite all assurances of victory that would be easy, the Thai with sudden and new found cunning and power, long that they were battered in their endeavors and weary of their fights, fought with a new energy.

That energy was spent driving back the Khmer armies with pure cunning and tenacity, their warriors suddenly attained tactical input and malicious spiritual powers, with much sudden difficulty of an assured victory turned into an outright war of attrition. The Thai were gaining momentum, kicking ass and taking names. It was a sudden revival, for the last decade or so of beating they took, they came back in full force and with sudden mastery of the arcane and the supernatural. Trained to emphasize power. Treachery was abound in the air that Shun Zahr knew, someone must've wanted to sabotage his moment of glory and discredit his greatest moments of performing well so far by playing it safe. Politically everything was stacked against him, should his faction in the human world ever lose to a paltry few rebels, he would become worse than the dirt underneath someone's feet.

Even as he fought more ferociously, the Thai rebels slew a few demons even, powerful ones at that with powers not their own. One stood above all being Chit, the charismatic leader of the group whom stood for prosperity and fairness, but lingered about with a heavy weight in his heart. He was the face of this rebellion and establishment of the Thai Kingdom.
