Tenshute Kuromori. [Approved; 2-2+]
Thu Jul 05, 2012 1:24 pm
• Name: Tenshute "Kuro" Kuromori.
• Titles: N/A.
• Gender: Male.
• Appearance Age: 26.
• Age: 176.
• Affiliation/Rank: Gotei 13 ( 2nd Gotei ).
• Appearance Description:
Kuro is slightly above average height and possesses a lean build, toned and well muscled with a natural spryness that implies great agility and reaction speed. As a Shinigami employed in Seireitei, by the 13 Court Protection Squads, he has naturally taken to wearing the Shihakushō though it has been modified to reflect his personal sense of fashion and utility. The capacious sleeves have been entirely removed to leave both arms bare from the shoulders down, with a high collar that nearly brushes his chin, and the entire garment is a stark black with the sole exception of a crimson symbol embossed centrally upon its back which represents the Tenshute Clan.
The flowing pants have similarly been modified, tailored to be loose-fitting but not in the traditional excess, also stark black that stretch down to the ankle where comparatively bright white tabi socks beginning to show. His sandals aren't of the traditional reed variety, instead giving the impression that they were reverse-engineered from a form of combat boot to offer sturdy bindings and reliable- yet surprisingly silent- tread.
True to his namesake, most of Kuro's features are dark; his tanned complexion, raven-black hair, piercing eyes, even his sense of humor. His short hair is often messily spiked, as if he had taken a hand and run it backward through those silky strands; conveying a strong sense not caring about seeming dishelved. A boyish handsomeness is overshadowed by a certain... something lurking beneath the surface, some mysterious inner perception that makes him hard to understand and often creates a division among others- something he doesn't seem to mind at all. All of this gives Kuro a feral appearance when taken together with those steady black eyes that seem to take everyone in at a glance while penetrating down to their deepest secrets, often alight with a mischievous glimmer. He often gives off the impression of knowing a something others don't.

• Personality:
Kuro is a calm and calculating type, one that takes the initiative to assess people and situations alike to best formulate a plan if such a need were to arise. Having entered the Gotei 13 alone he seems quite content to leave it that way, not gravitating toward groups or attempting to forge friendships with those around him. For the time being, at least, he seems driven to attain the strength to achieve some inner desire; no-one truly knows what motivated Kuro to enlist as a Shinigami, or why he trains so rigorously in order to acquire power but his demeanor often leads others to believe he is a dutiful individual.
Whether a healthy drive or an unhealthy burden, Kuro seems to have shouldered some unknown cause, and it shows through as an inner darkness; something that's so vehement that- sometimes- he will exude a negative sensation able to be acutely felt by those sensitive to such things. Perhaps this is why he is so reserved, whether he has no legitimate interest in those around him or because he wants to savor that personal victory by himself, having achieved it with his own two hands. Even his words seem thoughtout and contrived for a purpose, using them sparingly while always seeming to be withholding information; whether trivial or crucial is anyone's guess.
• Likes:
Kuro is a man driven to walk the heights, seeking untold power and shrewdly planning how best to use such implements to best effect. As such, he's prone to like training and exercises that sharpen one's prowess and tactical use of skills. Although he hasn't shown any real interest in the people around him, he has shown to favor those that prove themselves reliable and an asset on the field of battle above the rest. Because spiritual beings require food for sustenance Kuro also enjoys sampling quisine from nefarious parts of the Living World, discovering new favorites and delicacies all the time.
• Dislikes:
Because he doesn't converse much the amount of things- and exactly what they are- that Kuro dislikes is mostly unknown, as he doesn't show much interest in much. Perhaps that, in itself, could be construed as a way of conveying dislike or distaste but who can say? One of the things he does show an open dislike for is cowardice, or conducting in a way he deems dishonorable or disreputable.

• History:
During Kuro's lifetime spent in the World of the Living, he was raised on the fringes of poverty but managed to lead a fun and adventurous youth in spite of that. Something deep-seeded, something embedded in his very being, seemed to push him toward the martial arts and a philosophy revolving around honor; as such things went, "honor" was a thing to be interpreted in many ways, by many different peoples, but Kuro remained steadfast in his personal beliefs and ethics.
As a young man finding work proved to be a hardship, seeing mostly everything as mundane and unfulfilling, enjoying only the time spent practicing various styles and techniques at a local academy for aspiring martial artists. Holding down a job was prerequisite for his covetted membership at the academy, however, as it was the only means of paying the considerable sum of that along with rent, utilities and the typical expenses of daily living. It didn't take long for Kuro to start mingling with a shady crowd, one that could use a trained fighter and offered promises of wealth and opportunities beyond his wildest dreams. Who could say no?
Working for an "underground organization" that conducted business in an openly civil and respectable manner wasn't all that bad, life was orderly and things operated smoothly between a set of guidelines agreed upon by all the similar groups and conformities of the locale. Whenever someone spit upon these strictures, well... that was when they opted to send in guys like Kuro, to straighten someone out or eliminate them outright. And so life continued for him, becoming a trusted and valuable asset to a rising crime mob while honing his martial skills as an assassin and gun-for-hire.
So, how does a guy like that get a pass on Hell and end up in the Soul Society? It's anyone's guess, really. Perhaps it was Kuro's unorthodox code of conduct and unwavering morality, or the way everything he did-- even the brutality and murders-- was aimed at a better tomorrow. After his death and his rebirth in the Soul Society, Kuro traversed the Districts in search of a place to call home; however temporary. Even then, he already felt a calling which drove him to seek out the strong to watch and assess, slowly piecing together a way to attain the kind of strength he would need to fulfill his secret- and then unknown- aspiration. It didnt take long to awaken his reiatsu, opening the gates to the spiritual energies his very being generated, and began taking the first steps to mastering it.
After that he mostly kept to himself, practicing as best he could in seclusive areas and doing odd jobs to pay for food. Once he began to grasp his power as a Shinigami and manifest a Zanpakutō, such odd jobs became lucrative and more abundant-- he even managed to buy tailored clothing, acquiring a respectable appearance despite perpetually dishelved, spiky hair. With that done, he began fashioning himself as a one-man clan under the surname Tenshute.
A quarter of a century later saw Kuro enrolled in the Shinō Academy and training to become a Shinigami, where he would be able to finely tune his techniques and tactics whilst also polishing up his capability through experience in militant battle. Showing a knack for all things martial, he focused the majority of his time spent training on zanjutsu and hakudo, though Kidō and Hadō also played a role in his new education. Within the span of a few years, Kuro was graduated and ready to enter the Gotei 13.

• Reiatsu Color: Black.
• Zanpakutô Spirit Name: Tenshumori.
• Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance:
Manifested, Tenshumori appears as a dark warrior with ebon skin; perhaps a demon, but surely something unearthly despite having a distinctly human physique. Swathed entirely in black, his upper body is draped with tattered black fabric of a thick and durable material which show bits of dark chainmail beneath, and a similarly tattered black cloak clasped about his thickly muscled neck. His pants are dark and flowing, not unlike those worn by Kuro himself, and a thick silvery mane of hair runs back to cascade halfway down his back in twisted spikes. All in all, he looks like a hail warrior at the pinnacle of his prime, perhaps even a chief or captain of his species.
Tenshumori wields an ashendarei, a long weapon with a blackened haft similar to a quarterstaff but tipped at one end with a long and curved black sword blade. The fluidity with which he manuevers this weapon implies a complete mastery over it, seeming so casual with each whirl and spin or even just leaning against it. The oddities that really distinguish Tenshumori are ink-black wings of demon-esque proportions that often remain bundled up against his back, glistening fangs as opposed to a human's teeth and eyes the color of purest sapphire that glimmer regardless of lighting.
• Inner World:
The "Inner World" shared by Kuro and Tenshumori is a coastal landscape dominated by a monolithic city that seems as if there should be people everywhere; though there never is, obviously, as the entire sanctum is a representation of the bond between Shinigami and Zanpakutō. Towering buildings stretch high into a dark but moonlit sky, as do many buildings of nefarious shapes and sizes that span in every direction as the eye can see. The illumination of this inner realm is prone to change in sync with the mood of either Kuro or Tenshumori, but mostly remains shrouded in moonlight with lengthened shadows and dark interiors. The general vibe is one of strong seclusion and desolation.
Central to the entire scene is a sprawing manejerie, a circus of sorts, but completely devoid of people. There are rides of many shapes and sizes, meant for all types and ages, vending machines and stands all strewn with posters proclaiming it to be the greatest show on earth. Many animal stalls stand empty, the cage doors swinging lazily on a warm breeze that flows through the scenery like a ghostly touch, providing a sort of anxious sensation as if waiting for one of the unseen beasts to spring upon you at any moment- something that never actually happens, however.
• Sealed Zanpakutô Apperance :
In its sealed state, Tenshumori possesses an all-black blade that more or less follows the traditional structure of a katana; complete with unique cross-guard and hilt, all blended together to seem as one piece. The hilt binding is intricately woven to show a tightly bound design of black and white diamonds while the cross-guard sports sinuous curves, depicting wings that would commonly be associated with a demon or dragon as a defense for his hand.
• Sealed Zanpakutô Abilities:
Augmentation Formula: x.5 Reiatsu.
Through mastering the first phase of the master-Zanpakutō bond, Kuro has attained an ability that may be used even in the "sealed" state. By charging his Zanpakutō with controlled commodities of raw reiatsu it will amplify that sum, augmenting it to a higher level, while condensing it into a honed slicing attack of pure spiritual energy. This ability will always appear as an arcing blast of tranquil consistency but, internally, is a purely destructive blast refined to possess an "edge" meant to slice.
• Kaikire - Reaping Slice.
Most commonly, this technique is implemented during a slashing attack and will arc off the blade at high velocity to become a ranged threat. Kuro does not possess the ability to freely manipulate these projectiles once they've been unleashed, thus their course is unalterable except by circumstance. This also inspires application in zanjutsu or other forms of melee, temporarily containing all that power and pressure within the Zanpakutō blade or a specific point in order to lash out offensively or defensively with a strength well beyond his normal capability.
• Kaikiri - Reaping Drill.
On occasion Kuro has been known to use these same principles in a slightly different technique, instead focusing all the energies imbuing the blast through the tip of his Zanpakutō for a more precise and refined attack capable of striking at heightened speeds in exchange for raw power. The effects of this technique also differ from the norm as it produces a drilling, penetrating property rather than the usual slicing "edge." Effectually, this ability is sustainable or can be shot singularly and consecutively.
• Release: "Kai, Tenshumori..." / "Reap, Tenshumori..."
• Shikai Description:
Once evoked, the Shikai form of Kuro's Zanpakutō is a long and sleek ashendarei with a blackened haft similar to a scythe's, but with a curved sword blade affixed to one end instead of a hooked reaping blade. Overall, this new form has great aerodynamic balance and may be used offensively or defensively to great effect. The haft stands nearly as tall as Kuro, himself, at five feet in length and about as ( cylindrically ) thick as a comfortably sized quarterstaff, tipped on one end with a dark sword blade one and a half feet long that gleams wettly whenever illumination is present. The blade seems to have been etched with a single raven on each side, even darker than the black-stained and polished surface, as if in testament to being a weapon fit to herald death.
• Shikai Abilities: Kai Tejinashi - Reaping Magician.
Augmentation Formula: x1 Reiatsu.
Taking the original "sealed" ability one step further, Kuro will fuel his Zanpakutō with controlled commodities of reiatsu in order to conjure a highly condensed and redefined manifestation that will take on the form and capabilities inherant to the object or creature he so desires. The full extent of this ability's conjuration capabilities is only limited by Kuro's imagination and the supply of spiritual energy at his disposal, though it takes time and training to hone a particular creation into something able to be reliably called upon in battle, thus worthy of being called a "technique."
Many factors play a role in determining how this ability works; reiatsu amounts, augmentation, manifestation size and strength, range and function, etc. Everything will be created with a price, reasonably chipping away at Kuro's reiatsu reserve whenever something has been conjured. Essentially, the capability of this ability is a direct reflection of how much spiritual energy Kuro has in reserve, and how much is imbued into each creation generated by his Zanpakutō. At this level, anything manifested by the ability must be initially positioned within a 10' radius to Kuro, himself, though this does not restrict a manifestation to that radial zone after its conjuration.
•Kaitoku - Reaper's Shield.
In this manifestation the amplified and highly condensed amount of augmented reiatsu will take the form of a large shield ( 7' h x 4' w ) wholly comprised of Kuro's spiritual energy, thus completely black in coloration.. Because the amount of power imbued into each conjuration is adjustable some of the results, like strength and durability, may fluctuate on a whim. This particular technique is purely defensive, meant to withstand an oncoming blast directly or shield him from a concusive blast birthed from the aftermath of a large explosion, etc. The shield will begin rapidly constructing itself from the center out, positioned wherever Kuro deems appropriate for the situation.
Because of its utility, this is the fastest conjuration Kuro is capable of performing with the possible exceptions of his initial "sealed" abilities; able to erect a defensive shield it in the blink of an eye. The sheer amount of practice spent mastering angles and alignments of protection shows just how astute he can be, tactically employing this manifestation in the most resourceful ways.
•Kai Tora - Reaping Tiger.
In this manifestation the amplified and highly condensed amount of augmented reiatsu will take the form of a large, sleek and powerful tiger wholly comprised of Kuro's spiritual energy, thus completely black in coloration. The conjuration itself is vaguely translucent as an instant indicator of being a reiatsu construct, occasionally releasing a flicker of what appears to be blue electricity along its body. Adopting traits from the inspirational tiger, this form is extremely swift and agile, capable of freely maneuvering in accordance with Kuro's consciousness.
As a weapon, the tiger conjuration will be able to rake with powerful, razor-sharp claws and bite down with crushing amounts of pressure just like its real-life contemporaries. That, however, is only the initial phase of attack as it may also be used as an explosive which unleashes all the amplified, condensed and refined reiatsu contained within the creation if Kuro so wishes it; or if the tiger is destroyed.
•Kai Ookami - Reaping Wolf.
In this manifestation the amplified and highly condensed amount of augmented reiatsu will take the form of a large, muscular wolf wholly comprised of Kuro's spiritual energy, thus completely black in coloration. The conjuration itself is vaguely translucent as an instant indicator of being a reiatsu construct, occasionally releasing a flicker of what appears to be blue electricity along its body. Adopting traits from the inspirational wolf, this form is extremely swift and built for endurance, able to track and hone in on a predetermined target consciously prompted by Kuro's consciousness.
As a weapon, the wolf conjuration will be able to bite down with powerful, razor-sharp fangs with crushing amounts of pressure just like its real-life contemporaries. Its keen sensory assists in tracking targets. That, however, is only the initial phase of attack as it may also be used as an explosive which unleashes all the amplified, condensed and refined reiatsu contained within the creation if Kuro so wishes it; or if the wolf is destroyed.
•Kai Taka - Reaping Hawk.
I intend to start the character off training for this technique, offering a plot line that can be worked into whatever activity comes my way.• Bankai Description: Kai Tejinashi Sa-kasu - Reaping Magician's Manegerie.
As a Bankai tends to do, this phase of Kuro's Zanpakutō capability completely transforms his attire from that of a modified Shihakushō to a slim-fit suit tailored in vertical black-and-white pinstripes reminiscent of a circus announcer or street magician, but with a splash of Shinigami color for effect. The blazer looks sharp with three golden buttons-- each bearing the Tenshute crest-- fastened along Kuro's abdomen, leaving the top open to reveal a similarly pinstriped shirt and tie beneath; a divided coat tail stretches down to the back of Kuro's knees, and the pants are similarly fashioned. In the pocket of the blazer is a single rose, a decorative twist, dyed blacker than pitch.
In this transformation Tenshumori changes from an ashendarei to a wickedly contrived scythe with a long and curved blade stained ink-black with the familiar ravens etched upon its sides. The haft remains blackened, as if charred, and a protrusive scything peg has been added; the peg-grip is able to be willfully maneuvered along the haft's length at Kuro's convenience for optimum maneuverability. The blade itself is exquisitvely sharp and can potentially slice through anything within reason, possessing a thickness that balances the overall weapon to perfection.• Bankai Abilities: Kai Tejinashi Sa-kasu - Reaping Magician's Manegerie.
Augmentation Formula: x2 Reiatsu.
It took time and true dedication for Kuro to achieve Bankai, the third and arguably final phase of the master-Zanpakutō relationship, having overcome many trials and tribulations that pushed his abilities to the breaking point, where a new level of power was necessary in order to survive and overcome. Having fully mastered the process of conversion when raw reiatsu is transformed into a highly condensed conjuration of variable capabilities Kuro is now able to produce vast amounts of these creations simply by willing them to be, initially positioned anywhere within a 30' radius of himself. An added quirk is the ability to blend more than one object or creature together to produce a new and altogether different effect. Through time and use, he is now capable of coordinating these manifestations wholly through the spiritual connection they share, as products of his reiatsu, and doesn't need to dedicate constant concentration when and where the conjurations are involved; only when willfully redirecting them. With this, Kuro had painstakingly pieced together a manegerie the likes of which had never before been seen.

•Kuro Shunpo - Black Shunpo.
Long before manifesting a set of Zanpakutō abilities that merely produce conjurations rather than play a more direct role on the field of battle as a set of signature attacks would Kuro's style of fighting, his very nature, demanded a physical fleetness; a sure-footedness to make him swift and agile, capable of exceedingly high maneuverability. He opted to focus on direct and close-quarters combat, and so tirelessly worked to further his speed and stamina, striving as if seeking to outmaneuver fate itself. Taking a strong interest in Shunpo after entering the Shino Academy was bound to happen, and that strong lean has lead to a unique general style all his own; as a byproduct, Kuro has lagged behind in other areas, such as Kidō and Hadō.
Whenever accelerating beyond the scope of garden variety Shunpo, upon reappearing tiny black flames will seem to be clinging to Kuro's body as if he'd just rushed through a dark inferno to come out the other side, and the faster he's forced to move the more he will be engulfed by these superficial ornaments until arriving at his current peak for overall speed; at which point the black flames will have completely covered the majority of his body, shrouding him in dark armaments, mask and a cloak befitting an assassin and death-dealer by trade.
•Kuro Zanjutsu - Black Zanjutsu.
As a man who fully enjoys the thrill of combat Kuro religiously trains in zanjutsu and melee combat, preferring that sort of battle when facing opposition to some flashy show of abilities and explosions. Because his own Zanpakutō abilities don't revolve around physical combat it has become essential for him to master swordsmanship to the highest levels of proficiency in order to maximize his resourcefulness, providing his own best line of defense while his conjurations are free to follow out their directives. Trained in Hakuda, Kuro is a strong unarmed opponent.
Perhaps a love of all things martial was passed on to his reincarnated self in the Soul Society, but hand-to-hand and swordsmanship are the true focal points of his interest aside from mastering his own abilities, and these are the things he has developed to their fullest; having begun long before joining the Shino Academy to become an honorary Shinigami. All his time spent competing throughout the roughest Districts with the strongest thugs and hitmen, the time spent hunting Hollow, was used to hone and redefine these aspects of himself to new heights and forge a personalized style.
•Kidō Incantations.
•Nenshou Haekansei - Burning Flytrap.
"Sprout, spring and incinerate; Burning Flytrap."
This Kidō technique is of a preemptive nature, enabling the caster to set invisible and virtually undetectable traps anywhere on the field of battle. Wholly comprised of spiritual energy as they are, these traps are detectible by characters, incantations and devices possessing a very keen sensories for perceiving concealed reiatsu. The overall conjuration is only visible to the one who evoked it and possesses a cross-section structure centered by a circular ring; a highly durable and pliant structure. The central ring serves as a trigger, or it can be willfully detonated, but once sprung the four flaps spread about its center snap up to tightly bind anyone unfortunate enough to have been caught; the ring also possesses the largest quantity of reiatsu within the trap, forcefully exploding in a fiery blast once sprung or detonated by the caster.
Without a full incantation a Burning Flytrap might only possess enough power to incapacitate a strong and resilient opponent by ruining a target limb, producing only a small but concentrated explosion that wouldn't effect much outside a 10' radius aside from a concusive blast. When fully evoked the destructive force and scope of its explosion is astounding, the roaring tempest of flames seeming to flare up like a pillar while unleashing searing heat upon a 20' radius; the blast itself is approximately 7' in diameter and burns hot enough to generate such hellish heat. Once a trap has been sprung it uses up its entirety in the resulting blast and nothing will remain behind.
•Sa-ji Hasu - Surging Lotus.
"Arcing Catalyst of Destruction; Surging Lotus."
This Kidō technique is of an offensive nature, enabling the caster to charge an adjustable amount of reiatsu into their hands in order to release one large spherical blast of high explosive power or divide it between the two hands in whatever power ratio seems necessary at the time; essentially breaking the sphere into two portions to fire separately. The manifestation of spiritual energy takes on the likeness of a lotus, serging forth like an electrical current until striking with tremendous force and a resulting explosion that will be proportionate with the amount of reiatsu contained within the blast.
Without a full incantation Surging Lotus is only moderately empowered, releasing a high velocity blast capable of inflicting severe damage upon direct impact but carries little in the way of an explosive finish. When fully evoked the destructive force adn scope of its explosion is astounding, capable of penetrating through solid objects in order to reach a hidden target and create a resounding explosion upon impact.
•Tejinashi Genkotsu - Magician's Fists.
"Shatter the Horizon; Teninashi Genkotsu."
This Kidō technique is of both an offensive and defensive nature, enabling the caster to envelop parts of their body with pure spiritual energy though it is most commonly applied as a means of increasing potential lethality with unarmed strikes. The offensive and defensive capabilities offered by this manifestation are respective, and cannot be inacted simultaneously; focusing either on attacking or defending at any one time. In appearance, it seems as though a ghostly and ethereal aura had solidified around the caster's hands-- or other parts-- to add its strength or resilience, and may be manipulated to take on specific properties.
Without a full incantation Tejinashi Genkotsu is only capable of being manifested as a strictly offensive technique, geared toward inflicting damage rather than defending one against oncoming attacks; its properties may still be changed, like adding an "edge" or "impact" to physical attacks. Fully evoked, both offensive and defensive halves of the overall technique have been unlocked and may be implemented at will so long as they aren't used in tandem. This was one of Kuro's original Kidō creations.

• Roleplay Sample:
Life spent wandering throughout the Districts of Soul Society was mostly monotonous and left Kuro with a strong sense of unrest, occasionally prompting him to take these excursions far away from any civilization or gathering of people that might be under direct Shinigami supervision. What he was doing wasn't unlawful, but having Shinigami running around had a tendancy to scare the prey and he didn't seem to mind roughing it for a few days or weeks out in the wilderness anyway. This would be the fourth day out, this time, and the object of his interest had proven elusive but hadn't yet escaped him completely; Hollow always left trails to follow if one knew what to look for.
Granted, Kuro's education on Hollow was purely based on hearsay but he had taken care in choosing what to believe and what was outright nonsense but even so he felt confident enough to take these trips out into the forest, or off onto the grasslands, anywhere where a rumor had risen of a strong Hollow appearing. He always sought the strong types, even back in the Districts where competitive fighting between people who had manifested reiatsu was commonplace, he had sought out the strong as milestones to gauge his own strength and capability. In times like these, while hunting Hollow, it was something else entirely. All restrictions and inhibitions were thrown to the wind and it became a fight for pure survival, a fight of conquest between two primal forces that had been battling for time immemorial. Perhaps after this he would join the Shinô Academy and become a Shinigami, reaping all the benefits and rewards that came with the station.
This was the stuff that truly made Kuro feel alive, and he had no intentions whatsoever of letting his prey escape. Catching it's trail the first time wasn't hard, having picked it up after some discreet investigations where a Hollow attack had been evident and trekking out into a seclusive forest to follow it. He had become pretty familiar with the forest, since, as the Hollow had tirelessly veered back and forth through it in an attempt to shake him off its trail. All that was coming to an end, however. He knew that with a certainty, and felt nothing but a grim satisfaction that he had outwitted the monstrosity and forced a final confrontation. All that veering back and forth through the forest had gotten troublesome, so Kuro had devised a plan two days past to begin pushing his prey closer to the Districts and boxing it in so it was forced to choose between facing him or risking detection by the patrolling Shinigami.
It didn't take a genious to figure out which way those odds stood, and Kuro was prepared for the Hollow to turn and bare its fangs any moment. The sound of crackling wood was the first tell-tale of its approach, making a cacophany of snaps and pops as it pushed several trees over to clear the way. Standing high in the branches of a thick elm, Kuro had a clear view of the looming shadow that was rapidly coming closer, see the multitude of legs as the enormous centipede weaved back and forth through the forest, bowing trees outward wherever necessary. This is what he had been waiting for, the thrill that had prompted him into striking out into the wilderness to begin with, Zanpakutō already unsheathed and held loosely in his right hand with blade tilted to rest upon his shoulder. "It's about time you stopped playing hide 'n seek!" he shouted, drawing the Hollow's attention directly to his position as if he hadn't a care in all the world. The huge masked head turned in his direction, the hundreds of legs repositioning themselves in preparation to move on an instant; offensively or defensively was anyone's guess.
Kuro's grin was ecstatic, fully absorbed in the drive for battle and conquest, so much so that a heavy and violent blood-lust began exuding from his very core; seeming to pump in sync with the steady rhythm of his heart, a nearly palpable sensation of murderous intent. Hollow weren't stupid and this one knew danger when it presented itself, taking the initiative to charge in whilst tearing so the front ten legs were raised and arched in preparation to attack with sharp and twisted pincers. "That's right, you big masked leech! Let's play!" Kuro stepped off the tree branch to plummet downward, darting through the air with a spray of dislodging leaves before breaking free of the canopy and landing crouched with his sword-arm crossed over at the abdomen, its dark blade glistening wettly along the curved edge. "Show me what ya' got!"
