Personality: To call Cornelius Alba unstable is like saying that Windows Vista is only slightly undesirable. He's constantly talking to himself, or rather humming to himself. When he does hum, it is to the tune of classical music, and more often than not it's Ode to Joy. Sometimes while humming he will wave his hands around as if he were conducting a large orchestra. He is prone to random bouts of anger that has resulted in him, the Director of the Clock Tower, bashing students' heads in against stairs. Cornelius also is a sore loser to an extent. Rather than just complain and whine, Cornelius develops an odd obsession with the person. Normally, this obsession results in Cornelius finding a way to humiliate the person or their combat style. However, there are rare and extreme cases where it will turn into a full-on drive to murder.

When talking about his abilities as a Magus Sugiura, Cornelius is quite arrogant. So arrogant that even Lord El-Melloi once scoffed at the director, despite his engagement to Cornelius's daughter. However, Cornelius is not only arrogant in his own magecraft, but anything he practices. Whether it be underwater basket-weaving or simply how he opens a door, Cornelius feels he is above the rest of the Magus Sugiura, namely the other two Directors. He has high hopes for his daughter, Sola-ui. However, Cornelius sets his standards too high for Sola-ui at times, which brings him back to his random bouts of anger.

General Appearance

Appearance:
Cornelius's appearance matches what he does. The Director of the Clock Tower is no ordinary man in fashion sense. He has neatly-trimmed blond hair, forming an uneven bowl cut. The back of his hair extends to his waist. The eyes of this madman have a tint close to azure, but they can change to a darker, more Royal Blue shade on random. His clothing is also strange, even for a Magus. His top hat is taller than his entire head, and its scarlet color matches his overcoat. It is said that Roald Dahl based the character Willy Wonka in his book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory off of a painting of Cornelius. Underneath his fabulous overcoat, Cornelius wears a brown vest and a button-down aspargus-colored shirt. He has long, bell-bottom dress pants that coincide with his undershirt's color, but also has stripes that are the color of his vest. He wears a size 13 1/2 shoe, and his boots have a special waterproof coating that alows him to walk through water without any getting inside. Cornelius's gloves are also an interesting accessory. Natural Abilities

Basic Magic: Being a Director-level Magus, Cornelius is of course very skilled in Sugiura Magic. His most profecient spell is Hana Moeru. The petals of his Hana Moeru resemble that of the Strelitzia reginae flower, more commonly called the Bird of Paradise. The petals appear to be like spikes of fire and can grow to a length of four meters in length. All of Alba's magic will gain a fire attribute as well, thanks to part of his origin.

Tendrils of Andranos: Cornelius's gloves are fireproof. Of all of his body, his gloves are the only part that has an abnormally high resistance to heat and fire. This is because woven into the tips are tiny microfilaments that extend for about 10 meters. The microfilaments are normally wound around the fingers, and they are small enough to look like a spider web. Cornelius normally does not use them until he is truly interested in a fight, which then he will begin to look like he's conducting an orchestra. Of course, he is merely unwinding the tiny threads. The interesting part of these threads is not their tiny size, but rather what is covering them. The only reason they are visible is that they are coated in Lithium Arsenide powder. This flammable powder is ignited by Cornelius's reiatsu starting a spark. In theory, Cornelius has 10 in his use. However, Cornelius is rash and normally will only get two uses out of the threads. When it is ignited, it acts like a large fuse. It can do moderate-to-high damage on open skin, but on clothing the fires only have the capacity to do up to moderate-level damage. It's normally used to simply ignite things from a distance rather than to attack, however. One use per microfilament. Cornelius can carry more of them, but it's like threading a needle: you can't do it in the middle of combat without hiding.

Black Hound: Cornelius has a large, black lupine creature stored within a vial within his jacket. As strange as it sounds, the hound is made completely of reishi and kept in its hound form by Cornelius's reiatsu. The hound, nicknamed Nettesheim by Cornelius, is capable of a shunpo-like move that can be used thrice per release. Nettesheim can be destroyed by attacking him like any other animal. However, he would simply return to the vial to heal himself after he is killed. To completely destroy Nettesheim, one must hit him with an attack that can destroy something the size of a van in a single hit. Nettesheim can be maintained for a near-infinite amount of time, but he can only be summoned twice per thread. His healing time varies, but it is not less than 2 posts.

Magecraft Unleashed

Sea of Flames: Cornelius's main magecraft is his "Sea of Flames." The temperatures reach greater than 734,000°C at the base. An interesting attribute to Alba's Sea of Flames is how the flames act upon being released. Unlike a normal torrent of fire, Sea of Flames behaves like a sudden flood of liquid. The flames will still consume trees and the such if they pass over them, but most objects are simply used as barriers for the "liquid" fire. The flames will act like white-water rapids after being formed, causing leaping flames that are like water white-capping.. The flames can be swam in if there is a flame-resistant force strong enough to resist its temperatures. Thus, the flames can even be floated on. The flames, in liters, are enough to fill four floors of an office building completely. However, it is like any liquid and heat will evaporate it eventually. The heat of the fire itself actually works against it. The fire evaporates itself about five posts into use outside, six posts if used inside. The best uses of the spell are within closed areas such as a hallway. The magecraft requires a single post to be used (and an incantation) and a four-post cooldown period.
