Appearance: Raiden has long black hair, reaching down to the small of his back. His eyes are dark grey, almost black, and shine. They have been compared to obsidian. He is slim and muscular and wears an Espada/Arrancar uniform much like this: Raiden Kaneko Perfect_Arrancar

But with pants more like the ones Stark wears. Raiden’s mask fragment is simple and covers the right side of his face from the cheekbone to his forehead. Where it meets his hairline, it becomes thinner, splitting out to become a thin fringe nearly as long as his own hair. The effect makes it look like half his hair is white and half is black.

Personality: Raiden is very cold and takes pride in his…well, pride. He acts within his own code of honor, refusing to kill someone through subterfuge. He is, however, still cruel. If he faces someone weaker than him, he won’t just kill them, he may torture them too, either physically or emotionally. His face never seems to change from an expression of cold distain.
Due to his “contract” with Junko, he has become more neutral, though not by choice. He looks down on “good” people with scorn and derision, and only out of necessity sometimes helps them.

Background/History:
Birth: Raiden was born in Japan, on May 5th, 2090. His parents were part of a disgraced noble clan. They had been disgraced for a good reason: his great grandfather went insane and killed the heads of four other noble families. In the generations between his great grandfather and Raiden, a number of other people manifested the same insanity. Raiden had a very strange form of it, and no one noticed.

Childhood: Raiden’s parents were both perfectly sane, and raised their son as if he were the heir to a family that was still noble. They instilled codes of honor and pride into him. He himself, though, was still a little insane, but did learn honor from his parents. In fact, of all of the family, it was said that he grew up as one of the most honorable. Unfortunately, when he was twelve, he took offense from one of the servents and attemted to duel her, killing her very quickly. He was immediately disowned and thrown out of his house, his parents believing that he had suddenly snapped like his great grandfather.

Death: That wasn’t exactly true though. Raiden wasn’t any more insane than before. But Raiden took his parent’s offense as an insult. He began to plot to bring down his own family. Unfortunately, he drew the attention of the police and, in an attempt to duel with one of them, he was killed resisting arrest.

In Hueco Mundo: Raiden spent quite awhile as a basic hollow. He wasn’t actually that powerful. He did become a Menos, but just barely. It was then that a pair of demons appeared in the Menos forest with an unconscious member of the Iramasha clan. They chose a random Menos, that happened to be Raiden, to seal her in, knowing that Raiden’s soul would probably be eaten and absorbed by hundreds of other hollows, completely burying Junko under the many souls. Fortunately for her, they forgot the effect she would have upon the host soul. Within a year, Raiden had eaten enough souls to become an Adjuncas and from there it was only a matter of time before he became an Arrancar. Junko became a major source of power for Raiden, and so in his mind, he became indebted to her, which is why he sees her as an equal and takes her seriously when she attempts to get him to do good or stop doing evil things.

Ziamichi Personality: Junko is incredibly moral. She refuses to do anything remotely evil and sees the world in purely terms of black and white. She is very stubborn and persistent. She tries to see the good in everyone. She also is a determined fighter, willing to take any number of injuries to accomplish her goal. When she’s not in combat or in danger, she’s much more playful than her enemies would expect.

As a Ziamichi spirit, she spends a lot of time talking to Raiden, usually trying to convince him to do the right thing. She appreciates Raiden’s fixation on honor, and believes it is a sign that he has good in him. She likes to tease her host about it sometimes. Their relationship is very casual, almost like friends, or even more like brother and sister.

Ziamichi History: For a member of the Iramasha clan, Junko had a fairly average childhood. She was raised by her father and mother to fight for the Iramasha clan. She wasn’t particularly powerful naturally, but she worked hard and trained until she finally learned her Angel transformation and began to serve as an active member of the Iramash clan. She never stopped training, and was known to be very powerful by way of obsessive practice.

Her father and mother were killed in action, during an attempt to defeat a small sect of troublesome demons. When she heard of this, she was upset, but she decided it was her duty to finish her parents’ mission. She successfully eradicated the sect, but two of the demons escaped without her knowledge. As she made to return to the Soul Society, the two jumped her, knocking her out before she could do anything. The demons decided to seal her away where the she would never see the light of day—inside the soul of a weak hollow.

Ziamichi Powers: As Junko was a Iramasha, she can use Chaos Warp, Chaos Sync (to communicate with other Iramasha in the area), and Chaos Blast
Seishin Buki, named Telikó Spathí, in the form of an elegant rapier that can switch on command between any of the known type of sword in existence.
Her Angel form: She’s usually like this in Raiden’s spirit world. That was the picture I had earlier. Here, she has two abilities:
Shaft of Light: She can create spears/javelins of pure light. These are most often thrown, and once in the air, move at normal speeds for a moment, then shoot forward blindingly fast.
Light guard: she can create large barriers of light. The larger they are, the weaker. If they’re two millimeters square, they’re nearly indestructible (but not very useful). The most effective size is about four feet square, at which it can block an average Cero. Her speed and agility go up.
Her Golden Angel form (once she earns it, or if it’s approved): Appearance: She becomes taller and considerably more busty. Her hair grows to about waist length and glows golden. She wears a shining silver, almost white suit of armor that leaves a thin line of bare skin right down her chest. She now has two pairs of glowing golden wings on her back and seems as though she’s lit from behind by a golden light.
Abilities: She can now create up to three spears of light, which she can control in midair. He barriers become stronger too. Her speed and agility goes up by a lot. Her strength goes up a little too.

Unique Traits: Raiden can summon Junko’s angel wings, letting him fly. He also can use abilities normally reserved for the Iramasha clan, but only when Junko allows him to, and only ones she has access to. He also carries Junko’s Seishin Buki, usually in the form of a daitō identical to his Zanpakutou. Occationally (but very, very rarely) Junko allows him to go into Golden Angel form (once they’re powerful enough to gain it or if it’s approved). When he uses her transformations, his hair becomes blond, then gold, and his eyes go to white then gold, and the same wings appear. He also gains the armor, but in a more masculine form. In these forms, he can use her abilities, though they are a little weaker.

Forms: One, unless the Junko approves of Raiden’s action, then she permits two.

Drawbacks: Raiden slows down considerably and his vision becomes blurry and confused. He has trouble forming a coherent thought after being a channel for Junko’s abilities.

Control: About a five. They have a tentative agreement, that unless Raiden does something blatantly evil or Junko takes control and does something obviously good, neither will challenge each other. Raiden is allowed to commit evil acts, as long as he balances them out with good ones.

Racial Abilities:
Not much, just that Raiden’s hair, even when in sealed state, hurts. It’s not sharp enough to cut an arm off, but it will give minor lacerations if it hits. And of course, Cero, Bala, Hierro, and Sonido

Release Actions:
He shakes his head and his hair seems to extend around him, trailing out and curling around to become his robe. His mask’s fringe gets into this often, creating white streaks in the robes.

Resereccion Appearance:
Raiden Kaneko Wraith

The armor he wears on his torso is white and follows the Arrancar color scheme. His robes also have occasional streaks of white in them, from the mask.

Resereccion Abilities:
Each piece of cloth is razor sharp and, though none will cut him, stepping carelessly near his robes can and will lose you limbs, if not your life. His sleeves can extend to become long whips of razor sharp cloth, up to twenty feet in length.

Raiden can reach into shadows and grab them to mold them like clay into any object he desires. It cannot, though be functional on it’s own. It can’t be a robot or minion or something. It must be something static, like a small rock, a bow and arrow, or a shield. The shadows, raised into three dimensions, look like black smoke and are about as strong as heavy wood, but weigh nothing. It cannot be larger than a person.

Dues Ex Release Actions:
Raiden jerks his limbs out, sending his robes out around him, as extended as possible. As he does, they extend out, they merge together to form very long, thick sleeves and a hem that pools around Raiden.

Dues Ex Appearance:
At first glance, it looks as though Raiden is a toddler wearing a robe fitted for an adult. His robe now pools in a circle around him for ten feet. Under his hood, his mask is now visible, completely covering his face, though the mask looks exactly like his face. It still has fringe, now long and thick, so it looks like Raiden has his old hair back, but now it’s all white. His Armor from before now covers his arms, legs, and full torso, in a sleek, now metallic, lightweight cavalry armor.

Dues Ex Abilities:
It extends the range of his sleeves to fifty feet, and he can now twirl around to spin his robe like a circular saw. He can also now pull shadows up to create walls of the shadow-substance.
New abilities: Any shadow he touches becomes sticky, like tar. It’s possible to escape from it, but not easy.

Roleplay Sample: Raiden glanced around haughtily—that is to say, exactly the same way he always looked around. He was in the human world, on a mission to balance out killing and eating a lesser hollow a few hours ago. The streets of Bejing seemed like a good place to do this.

“What exactly would balance this out?” Raiden spoke quietly to himself—or more exactly, his Ziamichi spirit, Junko. “He was just a hollow anyway, it can’t be that bad.”

“Come on, you know better than that!” came Junko’s voice in his head. “You’re going to have to do something big.”

Raiden scowled deeper. He looked around. He had grown to see these weak beings around him as, at the very least not worth killing, thanks to Junko’s preaching. Now he was looking around for a very good deed.

And one appeared to him very quickly. A man wearing a mask rushed out of a big, ornately designed building that Raiden assumed was a bank. He had a gun and a bulging bag. “Will this do?” Raiden asked in an irritated way. After a moment, Junko responded, “Mmmm…yeah, I guess.”

Satisfied, Raiden Sonido’d to the bank robber, grabbing his collar and tossing him to the ground. The theif glance at him and his eyes widened. The burgler was merely a powerless mortal, and so had no hope to defeat an Arrancar. Raiden’s expression didn’t change, and he didn’t even pay much attention as he slammed the pommel of Junko’s Seishin Buki into his temple, knocking him out instantly.

Unfortunately, a Shinigami chose that exact moment to drop into the ally. He could feel that even Junko was exasperated at their bad luck. If it had been an Iramasha, she could have used Chaos Sync to assure them that Raiden was not trying to eat this human. And of course, Raiden was too proud to try and convince the Shinigami.

The Shinigami drew her Zanpakutou. Raiden drew both his Zanpakutou and Junko’s Seishin Buki and bowed low to his opponent, as was honorable to start a duel. At the bottom of his bow, though, the Shinigami shunpo’d at him and swung her Zanpakutou. Raiden blocked it with Junko’s Seishin Buki and stabbed with his Zanpakutou. The Shinigami stepped away from the blow. Raiden smiled cruelly and tossed his hair, whipping it at the Shinigami. She hadn’t expected such an innocent thing to be a weapon, and her face was covered in lacerations from the attack.

Stunned as she was, Raiden could have killed her. Unfortunately, he knew killing a Shinigami would be too much for Junko. In fact, what he had already done, scarring this woman possibly for the rest of her life, all over her face, would probably demand retribution. He almost growled at the thought, but Sonido’d away, then opening a Gargantua to Hueco Mundo to escape the possibility of doing more harm to this Shinigami.

As he did, Junko’s voice appeared again, a giggle behind it. “Well, looks like you’ve got to start over.”
