Violet was relieved that Yumiko understood her fear. Seeing Yumiko smile, Violet was able to calm down and return it. “I do, actually,” Violet said and followed Yumiko to the open training area. “He’s my best friend, but busy a lot, but anytime I need him, he is there.” Violet looked around the training room as lights turned on, weapons were revealed, and dummies were introduced. She was stunned.
"Uh... wow. Color me impressed," Violet said as she made her way to the weapons. There were swords, chains, and of course bows, but she didn't see a scythe. That's okay. She grabbed a long staff that seemed just a bit shorter than the scythe she could make. "This will work..." she muttered and looked to a dummy. Taking a deep breath, Violet gave it a quick whack. It was clear that while her technique was not horrid, Violet's strength and speed needed a lot of work. "Thanks, Yumiko!"

YUMIKO KAMENASHI
The young Quincy was glad that Violet was relaxing a bit, especially after understanding that she wasn't in any real danger here. However, Yumiko couldn't help but wonder who this friend of hers was... clearly someone powerful enough to rely on. Whoever it was, Yumiko wasn't able to tell at the time Violet insisted on a selfie. However, Yumiko simply couldn't kill her curiosity as she watched Violet take a staff, appearing as if she wasn't wholly satisfied with the weapons. Much like Yumiko, it seemed like her weapon wasn't one the Vandenreich had a "practice" version of.
"Who's this friend you're speaking of, by the way? Is he a Quincy too, or just someone you know?"
Yumiko hoped Violet would be willing to answer, and such an understanding may help clear up things. After Yumiko got her answer, or if Violet withheld it, Yumiko moved off towards a room within the training area, one that she seemed well acquainted with. After a few minutes in which Violet got relative complete privacy to practice without interruption, Yumiko eventually emerged in attire one would think was more fit to working out; especially with how rigorous it could be! Violet may place it odd that Yumiko still had her prosthetics on, as they didn't look like prosthetics, but it likely wasn't anything that overly caught attention.
"Glad to help, Violet. I understand how difficult it can be to find a proper place to practice. Tell me if you need anything or maybe want my help with your training; like a spar or if you want me to watch your form."
Yumiko gave Violet a warm smile before the Quincy went over to the rack of bows. She selected two, one what some would consider a "traditional" bow, and another was a Japanese longbow; or Yumi. After collecting arrows, Yumiko positioned herself at the adjacent training dummy where she could practice safely and without risking the arrow hitting Violet. With that, Yumiko began to practice with the bows she had collected. She only did a small amount of practice with the first bow, showing off a bit of Archery that may be more familiar to Violet. Afterwards, however, Yumiko practiced with the Japanese longbow. Either way, Yumiko showed her skill in speed of release, and the accuracy of her shots, most of which landed in the training dummy in technical 'kill' areas of the abdomen; but a few were in the head for style points. For now, Yumiko was content to practice like this, polishing her archery while she allowed Violet to train... But if Violet wished for a sparring partner, or a bit of help with her form, she need only ask.

"Yeah… He is…” Violet said, distracted as she examined the staff. Realizing she was ignoring Yumiko, Violet broke her own trance and faced the girl. “He’s a Quincy, yes, and he is kind of… well… my best friend, I guess?” In truth, Solomon was her only friend. She had been focused on so many other things, that she didn’t have time to really get to know anyone. She was mostly okay with that though.
During the time Violet was alone, she swung the staff around, trying to get used to its weight. She dropped it over and over again, freaking out when she lost control. When she picked it up, she looked around, hoping no one saw her failures. When Yumiko returned, Violet gave a thumbs up at the outfit. “Oh, no. I am not ready for a spar…” Especially with a stranger she knew nothing about…
Violet watched Yumiko curiously, but any time Yumiko looked toward her, Violet would pretend she was doing something else. Once Yumiko looked away, Violet looked back and watched silently. Seeing how often Yumiko hit her target, she walked over. “I could never be that good… My father tried getting me into archery, but I think I hit the target twice? Maybe three times? And that’s over a year of practice.” What Violet left out was how nervous her father made her. She shook while holding the bow because she thought he would hit her again.

YUMIKO KAMENASHI
Yumiko practiced with her bow for a few moments longer, being in a bit of a trance of her own. When Violet walked over and picked up a bow, Yumiko looked at her and gave her the smallest of smiles. She couldn't help but wonder who her friend was, maybe they both knew him? However, Yumiko instead carefully lowered her Yumi so she could watch the woman. Yumiko tilted her head in confusion as she watched the woman when she spoke, and especially as she held the bow.
It was... confusing to Yumiko. She spoke of how she could never be that good, and then she spoke of her father... Speaking about her father caused a bit of that confusion to carefully seep away. Yumiko knew enough about Quincy history to know that some parents, some teachers of the Quincy arts, weren't... merciful. Yumiko watched her for a few moments longer before a small smile broke upon her lips; hopefully a gently reassuring one.
"Well... We're the only two people here. There's no harm in giving it a try again. Remember to breathe, relax, and that it's just you and me in here."
Yumiko moved a bit so she could keep an eye on Violet's form, but otherwise she stayed out of the woman's way and tried to allow her to relax. Yumiko had no idea about her past, she could likely take guesses about it... But it wasn't her place to guess or gainsay a person's life or experiences in life. For now, however, she watched and waited... waited to see just what Violet could do with that bow when unburdened by unreasonable expectations.

Violet shrugged and decided to give archery a try for the first time in a long time. She took a while to remember how to get all the safety gear, and almost forgot the arm guard all together. Since she would rather not skin her arm, she made sure to put that on before trying a shot. Soon, Violet stood in front of the target with one the bows, having already tested the draw weight to match her strength.
Violet notched an arrow and pulled back on the string. After lining up a shot, she let the arrow loose and it flew straight into the white of the paper… in the upper right corner. “Yeah, that’s about what I expected,” Violet scoffed. Her form was fundamental and rigid, but she did know the basics. She just didn’t get how to aim a bow very well. Violet began taking the equipment off, ready to move on.

YUMIKO KAMENASHI
Yumiko watched the woman as she put on the proper gear, and then loosed her arrow at the target; at the white of the paper. Yumiko tilted her head slightly at the results. Frankly speaking, Violet did have good enough form, for a beginner, and knew enough of the basics to at least hit the target better. When the woman started to remove her equipment, Yumiko gently placed her hand on the woman's bow hand. It was the careful touch that would hopefully halt Violet's movements.
"Hold on a second... I want you to try again. At least one more time. But this time, when you've drawn the bowstring to your cheek, use the tip of your arrow to aim. And squint with your other eye, so you can see your target picture a bit better. Then, after that, try and let the string slip out from your fingers. Just try it one more time, then I won't bother you about it again. Please...?"
After speaking, Yumiko removed her hand from Violet quite gently. She was trying to assure the woman that she was treating her with the utmost kindness and care; at least as much as one could have given the situation. After Violet either acquiesced to Yumiko's request, or refused, Yumiko would return to her own bow work before putting her own equipment away. Afterwards, she waited for Violet to finish up with her own equipment before Yumiko moved to some light spear practice. For now, however, she waited to see what the woman would do.

Violet stopped when she felt the slightest pressure on the bow and looked to Yumiko, confused. She heard the advice given, but it only made her frustrated. She had failed with the bow for years, so continuing to try only made her feel worse. However, Yumiko was kind enough to bring her here, so she kind of felt obligated to give it a shot. “Alright,” she said, trying to hide her annoyance, but it showed anyway. She sighed as she put the equipment back on and took up stance.
This time, she tried squinting using the other eye, but that was confusing. It felt even more off than normal. When she fired the arrow, there result was not better. The arrow didn't even hit the paper, but the surrounding back board behind it. "Eh..." Violet shrugged and rapidly took the equipment off so no more advice could be given. "I hate bows... If I were going to use anything ranged like that, it'd be a gun."

YUMIKO KAMENASHI
Yumiko watched Violet as she tried one more time when Yumiko asked, even if the woman could tell she was slightly irritated at the request. However, when she tried to do what Yumiko advised, she completely missed the target. Yumiko simply shrugged when the woman missed and rapidly removed her equipment.
"Ah well, it's okay. The bow isn't for everyone. It's kinda hard figuring out how to aim it. It's kinda similar to aiming a firearm, where you either keep both eyes open, one is slightly closed, or the other is just completely closed; but the actual aiming part... Eh. Maybe I could take you to the range sometime?"
After Violet replied, Yumiko fully turned her attention to her spear work. With a flick of her wrist, Yumiko formed her spear in her hand and faced off against a practice dummy. If Violet was watching Yumiko at this time, she would see how sharp Yumiko's focus became before she started to slowly move through stances. With each repetition of her movements, Yumiko's speed grew and grew until she was moving at her top speed, as fast as she could go while maintaining proper technique at least.
Yumiko was evidently strong, and powerful, but if Violet was observant enough, she could likely see that most of Yumiko's forms accented an extra protection of her legs aside from the protection of the rest of her body. Either way, it was a sight to behold. With a final flourish, Yumiko stabbed the practice dummy through the chest, withdrew her spear and used the opposing blade to lop it's head off. Once she was done, Yumiko was breathing heavily, and sweat dotted her brow and clung to her exposed flesh. Yumiko's spear dispersed into reishi as she took deep breaths to regain her breathing before she looked over at Violet and smiled.
"Never hurts to practice, no matter how good you are. So, anything else you'd like to do? Otherwise, I can get you someplace where you feel safe getting home."

Violet was not here to watch someone else train. Yumiko was doing her own thing while Violet was still trying to figure out to how to get better at moving a long staff, so one day she could turn it into a full-on scythe. No melee weapon ever felt right for her, but this was the closest thing that felt “alright.”
During her time of training, Violet practiced her basic stances and swings, not used to the weight of a real weapon over the one she created with her own reishi. She often stumbled or dropped it, her reflexes not being up to par with a real warrior. She didn’t know how much time passed when Yumiko spoke up.
Glancing to the clock, it had been around thirty minutes, which wasn’t horrible for a workout. Since she had fallen and hurt herself enough for the day, Violet decided it was time to head home. “If you can get met to…” Violet explained a specific street, where she would head home from. Yumiko was nice up to this point, but Violet was paranoid. She had no intention of leading this woman to her home.

YUMIKO KAMENASHI
Yumiko nodded at the woman when she told Yumiko where she could take Violet. After Yumiko buttoned up the room, likely with Violet's assistance, the Quincy lead them out of the room and then the building. Within swift succession, Yumiko gave Violet her helmet back and, when the woman was ready, Yumiko drove them towards the requested location. Yumiko knew, flat out, that where they were going likely wasn't anywhere near Violet's home. However, Yumiko wholly understood why Violet was doing this. They had just met, and Yumiko had just casually offered to take her to a gym and give her a training area. Suffice to say, Yumiko would be beating herself up about this one for a while. Only problem with being the way she was, social interactions were sometimes really fucked...
Once Yumiko had arrived at the location specified by Violet, Yumiko parked her bike on the side of the street and took off her helmet. Her hair fell out of her helmet a wee bit too perfectly, but Yumiko stepped off her bike and took Violet's helmet after she had dismounted and taken it off. While Yumiko stored the extra helmet, the Quincy bade Violet to wait before leaving.
"I'm sorry how... EVERTYHING this sounded like and felt like tonight. Can I have your phone number so I can make it up to you sometime? I'd rather we be friendly than you being creeped out just because I have terrible social awareness... If you're okay with that, just put your number in my phone and I can maybe text you? And no, not a date. Please don't take this the wrong way."
Yumiko reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. To Violet, it likely didn't look quite like most market phones, but it's design and quality was equal, if not greater, than that of market phones. It was a gesture of trust, in a sense. Most people wouldn't offer their phones to strangers. Of course, Violet likely had no reason to steal it, but Yumiko did honestly mean she wanted to make things right instead of making everything weird.
After Violet accepted, or refused, Yumiko would put her phone away and put her helmet back on. She would only watch Violet long enough to make sure the woman wasn't being followed by anyone before Yumiko started her motorcycle and sped off towards her apartment. Indeed, this wasn't the best of interactions, but Yumiko's hope was to make up for it.
