Bringing her hammer up to block the blow, there’d be another meeting of ice as her weapon met Rei’s. There seemed to be more force behind the girl’s blow this time although Armina still didn’t budge that much. Still, it was promising that the girl was actually listening at least, which was more than she could say for other people that she’d fought with in the past. Getting through their skulls was a nightmare to say the least. The spike would enter the fray at that point too and the 4th Seat was forced to break off the weapon lock in order to swat it away.

“If creating weapons with ice is what your Zanpakuto does then perhaps you should start thinking bigger. A spike is a promising start but if you want to pierce me then you’ll need something more powerful. Your imagination is the limit.” She advised with a small smile. “Use the ice around us and meld something from that.”

Coming forwards herself, Armina would launch a heavy blow towards the woman’s midsection, keeping Rei on her toes.

Rei would block the swing with her blade as she would be pushed back a foot or two. Thinking to herself about heavy the swing was she would try to think on the fly as she would nod at the tip. The spike could work sometimes, but maybe she could throw her off balance wise as she Rei would lunge forward once more. As she would try to swing at the woman's left arm she would attempt to make a shelf of ice lift her right foot wondering if she could throw her off balance.

"Got it, I'm still trying to learn my limits with Okam----my shikai."

The 4th Seat prepared to block Rei’s next attack when all of a sudden she felt the ground beneath her shift resulting in Armina’s right leg being lifted off the floor. It was a surprise for certain and did enough that the blade of her training partner would catch her on the arm, leaving a small gash. The 4th Division member supposed that she should’ve been angry that she’d been cut but the woman had enough control to not let that bother her. If anything, she was pleased that Rei was taking her advice to heart.

“Not bad.” She replied simply, regaining her balance and slamming her hammer onto the ground in order to cause more ice to form. The reason why wouldn’t be too hard to figure out, she was simply giving Rei more to work with. “You’re starting to get it now. Keep pushing.”

Glancing to her hammer, Armina would utter. “Freezing Blows.” The result would be that the head would be coated in another layer of ice, one which would have a rather slowing effect if Rei took too many hits with it.

For the time being, she’d keep the woman on her toes, leaping up into the air and coming down hard with her weapon towards Rei. Agility wasn’t her strong suit but Rei wouldn’t want to be caught under the blow nonetheless.

Unfortunately for Rei she couldn't use ice from across the room. Armina probably already noticed that it seems Reis zanpakto seems to have a range on where it can create ice from. As Rei would watch the heavy hammer coming down at her she would flash step out of the way and behind Armina as she would have a pillar of ice grow up towards the woman to meet her and potentially try to hit her. However, Rei did mis time how fast the pillar would sprout up and Armina could easily react to it.

Rei wanted to test what her Zan can do, and her inexperience with it was beginning to show. She wasn't aware hoe the speed of her creations worked.

That was a clever little trick and as the pillar came up to meet her, Armina would simply allow it to strike her hammer. At the moment of contact, the 4th Division member would channel her spiritual energy through her Zanpakuto, resulting in the icy construct to crack and break soon enough, sending shards of ice all over the place. To see Rei getting to grips with her Shikai was pleasing and a smirk would cross Armina’s features but the blue haired woman wasn’t quite finished just yet.

As she dropped to the ground, her icy chains would soon be back in business, attempting to once more entrap or at least hinder the woman. The range was alright in Shikai but by no means brilliant. Honestly, she was just keeping Rei on her toes. This was all about the girl getting used to her weapon, after all.

Rei wouldn't be prepared for the chains this time as they would wrap around her, but she would make the attempt of blocking herself from whatever attack was about to come for her by forming an ice wall between them. It wasn't super thing, but it would hopefully make it harder to hit Rei super hard as she could feel herself beginning to get over whelmed.

All the exercising in the world doesn't prepare you for a fight or a spar. Atleast in Reis mind. Or it could just be that Rei needs to develop her combat skills more. She wasn't sure, but she was sure if thst hammer lands its going to hurt badly.

With Rei ensnared by her chains of ice, Armina would come in with her hammer, attempting to at least knock the woman on her backside but as she swung, a wall of ice would block her path. The woman didn’t seem to be one to panic at least and while Armina’s hammer smashed through the wall, it took out a fair amount of force from her blow. If it struck, it’d hurt but with less force than it would have if Rei hadn’t tried to defend herself. Despite the difference in strength, the 8th Division member hadn’t done that badly for herself so far and had handled the spar better than many who the blue haired woman had fought.

There was still a lot for Rei to learn but Armina was confident that if she kept pushing herself, she’d get where she wished to be but it wasn’t going to be easy. It was going to take time and as much as Armina hated the word, patience.

Rei could feel her blood warming up at the predicament she was in. What was this feeling? What was this desire? She would look at the hammer coming through the somewhat see through ice wall as it felt like time slowed down itself. Rei could feel her adrenaline rushing through her veins, but why? Why was she feeling like this? She couldn't figure it out, but as she would hear the hammer make contact with the wall she would have an idea. Was this the desire to win? The desire to continue this fight she had deemed lost?

As the ice would crack easily at rhe force of the hammer Rei would take her blade attempting to cut the chain and if it would she would duck the hammer as she would look up to the woman taking a swing at her side from her right hand. Being under her would give her a slight advantage in her mind, but she wouldn't aim for anything lethal. As she did this she would have ice jet out of the wall attempting to block a counter swing from the hammer.

It appeared that Rei was starting to get into her element, so to speak and a smirk grew on Armina’s face as the woman not only managed to escape her chains but managed to launch an attack back as well. It was good to see that Rei wasn’t one to simply give up when things got hairy and the 4th Seat found herself with an attack coming straight for her. It was well aimed and all the blue haired woman could do was channel her spiritual energy into her leg and meet it with a nasty clang. Being able to use her Hakuda in such a way was certainly handy and she had a feeling that it’d be used again before the end.

Rei’s wall didn’t break either and Armina rose a brow as it seemed to grow in durability. So, she’d flash step behind the wall and try to attack the woman from behind instead, her hammer of death coming towards the woman hard. The shunpo was beginning to affect her as well, causing a touch of tiredness to start to be felt, annoying Armina. She had to keep using it though, knowing that her own skills needed improvement in that area.

Reis shunpo was becoming much more of a strain on her despite her new found desire to win. She would shunpo a few feet forward before turning around. As she knew that she probably couldn't handle a direct clash with the hammer as Armina felt very much stronger than her. The kick she used to block reis blade had been harder than expected and now reis and and arms were becoming sore. As she panted tired from her excessive use of shunpo in this fight, and the combined strained of her not having her shikai mastered. She figured she didn't have much longer left, so if she truly wanted to win she had to do it soon.

Something in the back of her mind telling her it wasn't possible but she would shove that far back as in her inner world her zanpakto spirit would smile at the mentality change. Ordinarily Rei would give into that thought but she pushed past it this time. Bring her sword up she would run forward careful to not shunpo as she would swing the blade at the woman's center, but this would be a feint as she would attempt to have ice form around her legs. She wasn't sure if she could even do this in a power difference but she wanted to try.
