Just A Dull Beast [Kita/Amaranta]
Tue May 16, 2023 1:38 pm
Kita Lirio
..Away... Away... I have to...
Her movements were driven by pure adrenaline, the soft buzzes of her Sonido going off and off as she ran from the resort. Her thoughts were fuzzy and jumbled from both the sedatives in her system and the slew of feelings wrought by her encounter with Safira, the tigress soon allowing herself to crash to a stop beneath the thick of plants, hyperventilating and curling up upon herself on the ground, her white hair a wild unkempt mess dotted with sticks and dirt.
All manner of emotions were running through her, but the most prominent one that surfaced was rage, in which the Arrancar would scream out, frightened wing flaps of birds following. Whatever Safira did to her, she could feel it, it was like her very presence was stuck to her like a parasite. Her pale body trembled, all too familiar sensations of her body not being her's returning to her, the disgusting feeling of being in something that wasn't familiar or her's, shaking hands raising to cover her face only to stop when her eyes looked closely at her forearms.
Scales. Scale-like structures had lightly dotted into a band starting from her wrists down. She gagged, gritting her teeth and scrunching her face, her clawed fingers slashing into her arms with little hesitation, the ensuing pain only a highlight of her hatred and humiliation as her claws dug into her arm,
"Get out..! Get out of me...!" She'd demand, blood splashing from her flayed limb as she would scratch at it incessantly, as if she thought tearing off this skin would allow her healing to reject it, but the reality only continued to cement itself with her flesh growing and growing, still with those horrid scales. She'd let out several cries and growls as she tried and tried and tried to exorcise this branding of her foolishness, but to no avail.
She didn't listen to Klein. She was just a stupid beast driven by her impulses and wants. Despite his stature, he was smart - he wouldn't want to be protected by such a sloven creature.

AMARANTA VALERIA | BURNING LIONESS
Amaranta had found that resort somewhat amusing, but if she were being particularly honest, the whole process had been annoying as all hell. She supposed part of the fault lied with her for failing to book properly, but still, she wore impatience on her sleeves, and that naturally meant she was opposed to anything that didn't equal a fun and entertaining time. Safira proved interesting, though, all things considered. If nothing else, she found the woman amusing, but like a feline who could grow bored quickly, Amaranta needed to find a way to blow off some steam after the annoyance that accumulated as a result of that little bastared Safira called Kariya.
Wearing actual proper clothing that couldn't be torn off, the leonine woman traveled a bit further outward away from the resort. She possessed the desire to train and cultivate her skills, and quite simply, none of that was entirely possible in a public setting like that. Further out, though? Since she wasn't particularly all that versed in Cero, she didn't have to worry about any collateral damage.
Of course, as soon as she found herself developing thoughts on how to train, her trained senses caught wind of something that caught her eye---or ears, rather. Desperate cries and growls, a pained voice roaring in defiance. The spiritual pressure was familiar, akin to an Arrancar. Now, Amaranta was no hero. Wasn't her style. Whatever this individual was fighting against sounded like a whole lot of "not her problem", but curiosity drew the cat in. Whether or not it'd kill her was a whole different story.
Perquisa would allow the leonine woman to track the source until she stepped onto the scene, her head cocked sideways as she studied the tigerish woman writhing on the ground. First glance told her she was not having a fun time of it. Well, Amaranta didn't think she could make that any easier, held no emotional context for the situation, and simply voiced the first thing that came to her mind. Of course, she couldn't help shaking that the woman appeared familiar. Had it been an Arrancar she chanced across in the past?
"Sheesh, lady. You look like you're having a rough time of it. What happened to ya'?"

Kita Lirio
It was quite an awful sight for anyone to really take in, by the time the lioness had found her both of her arms had visible yet quickly healing wounds on both of her arms, her claws having changed focus to scratching at the formations on her neck. Her own body felt unfamiliar to her all over again, the uncomfortable reopening of old wounds that she thought were forgotten, blood soaking her lower body strewn beneath her hunched position before her incessant clawing abruptly ceased, the glint of gold tinged with acidic green appearing to peer at the source of the voice from the darkness, slit pupils glowing white in the shade.
Her perception was muddied, her thoughts absent as instinct took advantage of her vulnerable state, a low growl escaping her as she bared her fangs, briefly sizing up her opposition as her mind was momentarily lost to the thrall of a beast's bloodthirst. All that was before her was a threat to her children, competition for food, a risk to her well being.
Hardly a thought or warning was given as Kita's form blurred, suddenly before Amaranta with full intent to knock the other Arrancar down with her weight and strength, and once doing so, intent on flaying the woman's soft stomach with her claws.

AMARANTA VALERIA | BURNING LIONESS
No answer came, leading Amaranta to expect that Kita would attack her without hesitation. As such, her senses allowed her to discern that woman vanishing and reappearing before her like a bat out of hell, collapsing towards her with the intent to strike hard. Bold as she was, she had no intent of vanishing from her own position. As soon as she appeared, Amaranta roared in with a strike of her own, swinging a ferocious fist at her stomach. Of course, with her having no knowledge of the woman's strength and how it compared to her own, it was a quick time technique that had two endings. One, a successful punch to the belly. Two, wrestling on the ground with a tigress trying to claw at her stomach. Either way, this would be a fine way of training. One could say she was practically over the stars right now.
"Haha! Well, if it's a fight you want, come on then! This is just perfect!"

The punch did land, the force reverberating through her body, but it wasn't enough to stop the tigress from slamming into and knocking the opposition onto the ground, an enraged scream tearing from her throat as she'd struggle with the other Arrancar. This wasn't merely Kita wishing for a battle or to feed her desire to hunt, this was a beast kicking and screaming for it's own survival against a foe it perceived. Either she was to be food or the other would be, there was no sense of camaraderie or fun, just pure killing intent as her claws changed target to instead slash at the woman's upper body with little regard for placement, merely to cause as much damage as she could, bared teeth both cat-like yet oddly snake-like as she hissed and spat in the woman's face, lunging to bite down on her shoulder in an attempt to deliver a nasty, acidic bite, grunting and yelling amidst the struggle and pain.
Why was she doing this?

Hoh? She could take definitely take a punch. That was simply music to her ears as the woman collapsed atop her like a wild beast. In all honesty, it was the best results she could have asked for. This was more than enough to get her gears going. Amaranta hadn't intended to fight her, but now there really was no turning back. Amaranta had shifted her body around in the struggle enough to avoid that slash across her stomach, but the large bite across her shoulder rung true, earning a rather amused expression in the leonine woman's countenance.
Those fangs pierced violently through the skin of her shoulders, eliciting a wild tear of a grin across her lips. It was enough to pierce through her hierro, something that brought no small measure of excitement in her tall frame. She could actually kill her if she wasn't careful. Precisely because that was the case, Amaranta found herself growing eager as she viciously swung her knee into the woman's midsection, attempting to push her body upward and flip her over. If it proved successful, she'd force her into rolling over to try and mount the woman in an attempt to hold her down.
"Trying to turn me into your meal, huh? Sorry to break it to you lady, but I'm not on the menu! What's your deal anyway? Can you hear me!?"

Kita Lirio
The knee to her midsection both dislodged her bite and knocked the wind out of the tigress, the momentary lapse in her assault proven to be enough for Amaranta to flip over and pin her, their strengths roughly equal to make things out to be a struggle of two strengths, even in Kita's wild disheveled state. If her hands weren't pinned, they were ferociously swiping and clawing for the woman's flesh, her expression twisted in blind rage with her gaze unfocused and purposeless. She wanted revenge, she craved to be on top, but for what? This hunger had no resolution, the craving for her enemy's downfall had no meaning, it was a blood soaked trail to nowhere, and somewhere in her mind she knew this, even in her frenzied state there was something.
Those calls for reason and explanation fell upon deaf ears as the beastly woman below her did nothing but yell and gnash her teeth for the neck she couldn't reach, her feet kicking to get Amaranta off of her and back to where she felt the intruder belonged, and if that was met with no avail, Kita's fearsome jaws parted to give way to a flickering of black and red light building in her throat - if Amaranta did not move or somehow interrupt her, a simple Cero, no more complicated than a romping Gillian's, would tear from her jaws and burst into the sky.
What purpose was there?

AMARANTA VALERIA | BURNING LIONESS
For a wild beast of a woman, Kita proved no less inferior in a contest of strength. There was no doubt about that. Even with her attempting to mount the woman and impose her will, Kita remained unerringly relentless, striking about like a rabid animal retaining no shred of sanity whatsoever. To hell with pinning this woman, it was hard to get a proper grasp on her to any degree, though that only seemed to excite the leonine woman rather than unnerve, each claw and swipe tearing through both outfit and flesh.
Keh, another set of clothing ruined out of nowhere. Paying no heed to that whatsoever, in the midst of their struggle, Amaranta's eyes glimpsed that glow of black and red energy swirling within her mouth. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know what she planned on doing next. With one hand seizing forward to try and hold her own down, difficult as that was in its own right, Amaranta swiftly brought her fist forward, throwing her fist right across her jaw, an attempt to divert that blast off course and knock some sense into her.
Of course, if it fired before she could act, she'd take the brunt of it right to the face, and still go right in to attempt a shot or two against her, unwilling to loose the woman from her position. She loved a fight just as much as anyone, but not against someone who was clearly out of their mind. Of course, if that's how things unfolded, she had no hesitation in showing her who was stood at the top of the food chain here.
"Heh! What are you? Some wild animal? Surely, this isn't half of what you're capable of, so get your damn head in the game! If you keep going, I can assure you this won't end well!"

Kita Lirio
The strike to her face successfully interrupted the Cero, causing a far smaller scale explosion between the two women, Kita having taken the brunt of the blow, her mouth torn open with various shattered teeth, her vision having gone white as a hoarse scream escaped her, the pain of her restoration knitting flesh back together and forcing broken teeth from her gums to allow new growth to tear through, the burning pain beating some reason back to her wild brain, not that it was significant improvement for her mental state,
"..Wrong..." Her restoring lips croaked out, "My body's... Wrong... Everything is wrong..."
Wild animal...
A sickening torrent of thoughts rushed her mind, intrusive pickings of her form, wondering of where her recognizable traits had vanished off to, replaced with this tinier, less familiar form. Given a mind capable of higher thought, the beast almost broke under the weight of it - Contemplation, Awareness, Pondering, Creativity, Love, Hate; it was an unforgiving rush of sensation a previously simple-minded being was forced to experience, directionless hatred taking it's place of dominance in her mind.
Though some of the wildness left her eyes, her pupils having widened somewhat, looking directly at Amaranta, an intrusive thought formed from lucidity was born into words:
"...If I were to kill you, what would come after?"

AMARANTA VALERIA | BURNING LIONESS
Crisis averted. Well, one of them at least. Amaranta wasn't dropping her guard after brutally striking the woman across her face. Far as she was concerned, she felt half-tempted to pummel the woman half to death, but with no knowledge of where she came from, or perhaps, simply on account of her being hazily familiar, she restrained herself from those beastly instincts. Part of her sincerely felt this was far from what this woman was capable of. Arrancar weren't mindless beasts. They possessed sentience, a will, a true soul. However it unfolded was another matter entirely, but that was precisely why she resolved to get to the bottom of this. The words that came out of her mouth gave her pause as she remained atop the woman, but Amaranta simply shrugged her shoulders as she held her fist at the ready, preparing herself for a possible sneak attack.
"Pfft, hell if I know. In a word? Death. Looking at you as you are now, you'd probably devour me and that'd be the end of it. Nothing more, nothing less. If I had to get technical, maybe some people would be upset if I pass along, but whatever. That's the type of outcome I expect living a life like mine. I should ask you the same question, though, lady. What would come after you die?"
