» Appearance Written: Prior to his corruption and transformation into a Hollowfied warrior for Asher, Ben was a mousy man of short stature with brown hair and eyes. He couldn't be picked out of a crowd even by someone who grew up with him. Now he has the visage of a mighty angel warrior, cloaked in Heaven's light.

» Personality: Before his Hollowfication, Ben was an awkward and shy recluse obsessed with his religion. Even as the world becomes ever more adapted to the existence of spiritual beings like Shinigami, Hollows, and Quincies, Ben held onto his faith like a lifejacket in the middle of a dark and cold ocean. In the face of a changing world his faith gave him comfort, especially as he had never been particularly good at anything or popular in school, work, or his community.

Upon transformation into Asher's angel warrior, Ben's personality warped in practically every way. Though Metatron is zealous about his faith, same as Ben, he is instead a forceful voice with charisma and arrogance to spare. He speaks of himself as a warrior of Heaven, and Asher as his general, and that together they will cleanse the world of heathens and blasphemers. He speaks down to others and often declares anyone who stands against him or Asher to be an ant, unworthy of Heaven's grace.


» History:

Ben was born to an average middle class family in America. Nothing about his childhood or life were of note, he didn't have many friends in school, nor did he excel in school. Part of why he was a bit of an outcast was the religious zealotry of his parents, both of whom remained Christian Fundamentalists even in a world with death reapers and monstrous hollows causing mayhem. Being an outcast caused Ben to develop into an introvert, one with no friends and little ability to make some.

After graduating high school Ben went to university for a degree in Theology, where he became obsessed with the God's mighty Archangels: Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, Raphael, Auriel, Barachiel, and Metatron. This group wasn't the typically named Seven Archangels, but as he read Catholic, Zoroastrian, Babylonian, and Jewish writings, they were the ones who Ben believed to be real and true. Of these, Metatron stuck out as the mightiest; the highest of Angels, chosen by God as a human to ascend to Heaven where he became his personal scribe.

At some point Ben moved to Vastime where he became employed as a librarian, all the while he wrote what essentially amounts to religious fanfiction. When Vastime was swallowed by a gigantic sinkhole, Ben was one of the lucky few to just barely survive on its outskirts. Unfortunately for him, he was well within range of those mighty beasts which erupted from the hole and he became infected with Hollowfication and amidst his own screams of agony, was transformed into a mighty warrior who quickly grew subservient to his master, Asher the Empty Hearted.


» Natural Abilities:

High level Durability: Of his physical traits, Metatron's durability is the most powerful. His Hollowfication wrapped his entire body in a suit of armor amplified by Hollow energy. It, and he, is resilient against almost all forms of attack, spiritual, physical, and otherwise. Merely cutting him is a feat in and of itself, much less causing more significant injury. In addition, Metatron's abundant endurance allows him to continually take a beating without blinking an eye.

Winged Flight: On Metatron's back are a set of platinum and yellow wings that give off light like LED bulbs. With these wings he is able to fly through the air dexterously, allowing him to outmaneuver those who must form platforms of spiritual particles beneath their feet.


» Powers:

Elite Cero: Metatron is high skilled in the use of Cero, able to fire off blasts of energy of almost any shape or size with great precision. His skill extends to the use of Bala as well, with his being particularly fast even for someone of his power. Uniquely, his Cero and Bala are extraordinarily bright and can even damage the retina of humans who stare at them, as if they are miniature Suns. Spiritual beings who witness his Cero are often blinded momentarily without some form of protection.

• Michael's Blade: The First of Seven, Michael is represented by one of Metatron's most powerful attacks. By concentrating high quantities of spiritual energy into the form of a blade, he is able to do battle in close quarters even against weapons like Zanpakuto. From this blade he is able to send out waves of golden energy that can cause significant harm to those he deems unholy, without damaging or injuring anything or anyone else. For example, should Metatron's foe dodge one such wave of energy, even if it strikes a building or car or tree, nothing will happen. The energy will simply dissipate. Can be reformed but every time after the first requires significantly more energy.
  
  
• Lucifer's Apple: The Greatest of All Angels, Heaven's brightest light, is represented by Metatron's favored way to clear a large area with one attack. To create, he focuses the energy of two Cero Oscuras into a single apple-sized sphere which can be thrown like a grenade whereupon it will explode into a city-block sized flash of brightly lit energy. Unlike Michael's Blade, this Cero can cause far reaching destruction where it explodes, typically reducing man made constructs to ash in the process. Can be used every other post.
  
  
• Gabriel's Empowerment: The messenger of God and Heaven's Will, Gabriel, is represented by a supplementary type of Cero. Metatron is able fire harmless Cero into regular Hollows and imbue them with a might they could never reach on their own. This amplifies all their regular Hollow skills, while also making them moderately stronger, faster, and more durable. This lasts for three posts before the buff wears off. Can be used to empower three Hollows at a time.
  
  
• Auriel's Fire: The Fourth Archangel, Watcher over Tartarus, is represented by Auriel's holy flame. By concentrating a Cero into his fingertips, he is able to convert the energy into golden fire which can then be fired as a channeled beam that can burn through surfaces and cause severe burns to those without sufficient durability. The flames are more difficult to put out than that of normal fire, but do not spread once ignited.
  
  
• Raphael's Restoration: The Healer and Trumpet of God, Raphael, is represented by a unique Cero through which Metatron can double an amount of energy. This Cero can be either one of regular strength, a Gran Rey Cero, or even a Cero Oscuras. Said Cero, formed above his palm, will then double in strength and be reabsorbed into Metatron's body, not healing him but allowing him to recover his energy reserves. Regardless of which level of Cero he uses, Metatron can use this ability up to twice a thread and cannot recover more energy than he normally has at maximum.
  
  
• Barachiel's Blessing: The chief Guardian Angel, and provider of blessings for converts, Barachiel, is represented by a powerful buff Metatron can give himself. By channeling the power of a Cero into his physical form, he is able to provide himself with a moderate 20% boost to speed, strength, and durability. Barachiel's Blessing lasts for three posts, after which it dissipates and he must use double the energy as the first time to reactivate it.
  
  
• Lord's Rapture: The final of Metatron's Seven Cero, Lord's Rapture is a representation of God himself. Though it serves as a symbol of the most complex, all-powerful being and concept in his belief system, this Cero is straightforward: By firing a Cero Oscuras into the sky far above him, Metatron can then split it into a tremendous number of bright Bala that will then rain down upon the battlefield around him. Each Bala is twice as strong and fast as normal, and are searing hot to the touch. Lord's Rapture requires a great amount of energy to power, and can only be used once a thread.
