THE HUMAN APPLICATION
I. Basic Information

» Age: 19
» Appears: Her age
» Birthday: July 30th, 2105
» Gender: Female
» Height: 5’5”
» Weight: 125
» Appearance Written: Traits most noticeable are Natsumi’s hair, eyes, and clothing. She keeps her hair very long and in two twin-tails most of the time. She’s proud of her hair, so she doesn’t let people damage it. Her eyes have a white, star shaped pupil for reasons she does not yet understand, which can make her look strange to others. Her clothing shifts from preppy, gothic, rocker, modern, traditional, and to anything else she finds cool or cute at the time. She also has many scars all down her back, but can’t see them to count them right. The only reason they will be hidden is because of her clothing choice. If she’s in a bathing suit, she doesn’t care about hiding them.

» Rank/Position: The Sternritter
» Specialty: “I move things with my mind.”

Synopsis: Natsumi’s freedom has allowed her to grow throughout the last year, maturing thanks to the guidance of people like Natasha, Alistair, and Akira. Normally cheerful, bubbly, and little bit flirtatious, Natsumi still has a dark side that comes out when she feels an injustice has been done. She currently works for the Vandenreich as a Sternritter, having been brought on by the big man himself!
I. Personality
» Personality: Natsumi is an unpredictable, rather eccentric young woman who believes in an idealized version of the world. To Natsumi, everyone is supposed to be a naturally good and loving person, but there are a lot of people who break that pattern and challenge her world view. Due to her unhealthy upbringing, Natsumi can’t mentally handle it when reality smacks her in the face and either has to explain it away or has a mental break. Those who break from this idealistic reality of Natsumi’s don’t deserve to exist and it’s her job to try and fix it.
Natsumi equates her self-worth directly to her ability to “win,” or to prove herself superior at anything she does. The competitiveness of her upbringing taught Natsumi to put a high value on winning and being better than others. She believes that someone who loses is replaceable and has to work their way back up, and that losing too many times means you’re worthless and should just go away. If Natsumi sees a loss in her future, or thinks she is being replaced, she will take extra steps to solidify her position, and these steps are not always good or healthy.
Natsumi has a knack for creativity and self-expression, giving her a real love of the arts. She expresses herself through fun and vibrant clothing, energetic music choices, and a contagiously happy demeanor. She is normally welcoming to anyone, but becomes aggressive any time that someone around her age gets too close to someone she cares about. This comes off as jealousy, which occasionally may be a part of it, but is more a fear of being replaced, worthless, and unwanted. These fears come from the nature of her competitive and violent upbringing.
Natsumi’s normal cheerful demeanor can occasionally be broken, usually when someone is challenging her idealistic view of how the world should be. When this happens, she has an obsessive compulsion to fix the problem. This could be anything from a rule or law she finds unfair to the need to murder another person because they did wrong. In this mental state, Natusmi proves aggressive, easily angered, and sadistic. Until the “problem” is fixed or she discovers why the “problem” is no longer a “problem,” Natsumi will hyper focus on fixing it.
» Likes: Music, ice cream, any sweets, Mama, Stella, and her powers.
» Dislikes: Losing, feeling inferior, people who try and control or restrain her, those who challenge her world view, people who harm those she cares for.
I. History
» History: Natsumi was four years old when the Duvalier Group were made aware of her telekinetic abilities. Seen as a possible weapon, they removed her from her parents home and held her in a facility in Vastime up until a year ago, when evacuations happened. During her imprisonment, Natsumi was isolated from everyone but her handler, a fake mother figure that convinced Natsumi she cared about her. Natsumi was also forced into intense training to condition her body to handle her power and to also force her abilities to grow at a dangerous rate.
In Natsumi’s early years, she was quickly taught not to ask questions or for anything outside of the routine they made for her. Any time she showed any sense of individuality, needs, or wants, they put her in a ring with others who were being held and told to fight for her life. Her opponents were just as terrified as her, but she always came out on top, deciding her will to live was more important than her fear. It was during one of these fights that her telekinesis threw a stronger opponent, she knew she would have lost to, out of the ring and through a window.
Life changed after Natsumi displayed that much power. Some things were worse, others were better. Her food suddenly tasted good, her new room was larger than six by six box, and she was given a desk and other furniture that made it feel less like a hospital room. This is where she spent the next ten years of her life. Natsumi spent a total of thirteen years as the Duvalier Groups experiment. She escaped about a year ago, when Vastime began evacuating. Instead of being destroyed, like the others who had been held with her, Natsumi was able to run away.
They fed gas into her room, but she smelled it quickly and knew something was happening. Putting a bubble of telekinetic energy around her head, she pretended to fall unconscious. When they came in, they talked about the many years they wasted on her only to have to kill her now. Angered, Natsumi flung them back before they could stick her with whatever poison they had planned to kill her with. She changed into one of their outfits, hid her hair in the hat, and followed the evacuation orders out to the streets of Vastime, free for the first time in years.
With no place to settle down and no one to call friend or family, Natsumi traveled around wherever she could while attempting to learn about the world. People proved pretty simple, but the technologies seem lost on her. It was about two months after her escape, she found herself in a mall when a hollow attacked. She thought the monster would come after her, but instead it began chasing down a mother and her son. Natsumi rushed over, using her telekinesis to fly, and stood between the hollow and the two. It was Natsumi’s first fight since she escaped.
Once she was in its face, the hollow took greater notice of her. It even surprised her with its intelligence by speaking, and calling her out as a coward for hiding her presence until then. She had not been aware of her concealment, but this was her first hint at its existence. She fought the hollow with whatever she could grab. She pulled trashcans, tables, poles, items from stores, and even threw the hollow himself when it pinned her. Though her body was not powerful, her mind and power were strong. She threw the monster toward a metal beam, impaling it through its back and out the front of its mask. Natsumi’s first real battle was won.
Not long after that, Natsumi was confronted by a man, a mercenary, named Sigurd. His entire purpose was to collect her for the Duvalier group. She begged for her life while running from him, but he showed no interest in helping her. Even after explaining her situation, how they took her as a child and held her prisoner, the said the only thing he cared about was the money behind the job. Realizing there was no way out, Natsumi did her best to fight and run at the same time. On the edge of the town they were in, Natsumi stopped by a bridge and collapsed it using her kinetic missile technique. The smoke that the collapsing bridge created, allowed Natsumi to dive into the river and swim away, using a bubble of air she created with her reiryoku. Able to stay underwater, she escaped Sigurd the first time.
When Natsumi came up for air, she ended up in the middle of the ocean. She swam so fast to get away from her attacker that she wasn’t paying attention to where she was going. It was little more than luck that, after a few hours, she spotted a ship and made her way toward it. They were kind enough to allow her on bored and let her sail with them all the way to Japan. Before they could dock, something caused an explosion in the hull and the ship began to sink. While she did not have the power to lift something as massive as the ship, she did have the power to hold back the water. While they sailed into the docks, Natsumi held the water at bay and they were able to arrive safely in Tokyo, Japan. A city that she has yet to leave.
I. Natural Abilities
» Natural Abilities:
Advanced Willpower: Years of examinations that came with torturous techniques that could easily damage anyone’s sanity have become mere child’s play for Natsumi. Though obviously young, the unending trials and examinations that the Duvalier group performed on Natsumi since she was a young child has hardened her mind. Not allowing herself to break under the pressure has given her extreme resilience to what would normally destroy others. For example, experiencing mass death, loss of love, betrayal, excessive mental or physical pain, torture, and great injury won’t break her. This sheer mental strength may be a result of optimism, confidence, or conditioning; either way, her will keeps her on her feet.
Concealment: Natsumi’s energy signature is not easily sensed. The nature of her power keeps it close to her body, so she is practically untraceable by most sensory abilities. Her energy signature only reaches 25% of the range that others reach, preventing other people from noticing her presence or hollows from finding her. However, this breaks when she is actively using her powers and returns to normal.
I. High-Spec Powers
» Powers:
Type: Telekinesis - Natsumi uses her reiryoku to move objects and creatures. The strength and speed of her telekinesis scales with the level of her power control. The reach of her telekinesis is scales to her Spirit Class’ maximum scope of influence.
Kinetic Lift:
This is Natsumi’s basic ability. It’s what you would normally imagine telekinesis as. She uses her reiryoku to envelop items and creatures and then moves them in a direction she desires. Any damage comes from where and how they land. However, when used on creatures, they must be at least 2 spirit classes beneath her own. For example, if she is spirit class 5, they need to at least be 7 for her to attempt this. Any character also has the capability of breaking out of her reiryoku, out running her reiryoku, or overwhelming it. To break out, strength must be equal to or higher then her power control. To outrun, speed must be equal to or higher than her power control. To overwhelm, they must be exactly two spirit classes below her own, not any more, and their willpower must be equal to or greater than her own. Though on an item, this can last as long as she needs, if this is used on a person, the movement only lasts through one post. And once someone has been affected by this ability, they cannot be affected by it again for two posts. (Y, N, N, Y)
Kinetic Shield: Natsumi rapidly condenses her reiryoku to create a shield in the shape of a wall, sphere, or dome. Any shield shape is large enough to cover herself and up to three other people, or items around the same size. The shield can withstand any ability or attack with force that is less than her power control. However, the shield is only resistant to any force equal to her power control. There is a three post cool down between uses of this ability. (Y, N, N, N, Y)
Kinetic Missile: Natsumi condenses her reiryoku into a dozen basketball sized spheres that she sends flying at targets that she can see. The missiles bludgeon whatever they strike, but there is no explosive effect.
Kinetic Push: This is a defensive reactionary ability resulting from Natsumi’s fear. A burst of reiryoku blasts out from her body, pushing attacks, people, and items away from her in a ten foot radius, though those hit may be sent flying much farther. The speed and strength behind this ability is 75% greater than her normal capabilities. This ability can only be used once per thread as it is born of her fear.

- Check #1:
- Kinetic Lift
Whilst you have listed many ways that a creature can resist this ability, what does it actually do to those affected by it? Is there any restriction on usage of this ability?
Kinetic Shield:
Any one ability or any ability below her power control? Is there any restriction on usage?
Kinetic Push
Does this ability have any restriction on usage? If not, it should, as there should be some tradeoff for an ability that is just more powerful than what you normally are capable of.
Skills
Whilst it certainly is clear that the character has gone through a lot in her childhood, I do not think it warrants starting at an Elite level of Willpower. Advanced is more tenable.
Furthermore, there is little in the application at the moment to demonstrate an Advanced level of Power Control or any skill at Physical Augmentation or Spiritual Adaptation. As far as I can tell, all her abilities are related to Power Control. So I would ask that you drop Power Control to Adept and the other two to Beginner at this time.
- Check #2:
- Kinetic Lift
So, to confirm based on what is written, this cannot inflict any damage on characters - only displace them?
Right. And how long does it last on an affected target? Can she do it indefinitely? Does it not matter whether the target is a creature or an object in the ability's function?
