Psychological Analysis
Forward. Ever forward. That is the mantra by which Kizuna lives, and which she will all too gladly enforce upon anyone who dares to step in the way of her ideal of progress. If one were to summarize her in a single word, it could only ever be “accelerationist.” She wishes to see progress solely for its own sake, development purely on the grounds that it should occur. Kizuna would just as gladly destroy civilization as build it up, purely by merit of creating something new. She would perhaps prefer not to grow alone, and would prefer that those around her could develop alongside this new civilization. However, Kizuna’s nature is such that she would discard everything in a moment’s notice if it meant that change could be wrought.Despite her accelerationism in terms of her greater ideals, Kizuna in her day to day life is perhaps a bit more approachable. She is a highly intelligent woman who tends to look for the most out of people, not treating them as tools, but rather expecting them to reach their highest possible potential. She will often push people to achieve more than what they currently have, even if that may not actually be possible. To her, it would be better if they died in the attempt to grow than to live in stagnation, but of course this outlook is so genuinely benevolent in her eyes that one would not find any malice in her.
RELATIONSHIPS
○ Safira Androvaldi: She’s an attractive woman, certainly, and Kizuna admires her willingness to go forward, but her methodology is fundamentally antithetical to Kizuna’s worldview. She might have considered working with her once upon a time, but there are others to more reliably help grow.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Kizuna does not remember much of her time as a Hollow, nor does she particularly care to remember it. After all, the past is the past, and it was a time that had precious little bearing on her life compared to the moment she became an Arrancar. Unlike many Arrancar, Kizuna did not simply reach that state of being by pulling off her mask and calling it a day. She is the successor to the Aspect of Death Evolution, and when the previous bearer of that Aspect found her wandering the wastes, she willingly fed herself to Kizuna. A roving Hollow certainly welcomed the meal, but upon consuming her, she found that there was something she needed desperately.
She needed to grow. She needed to become more. Her face suddenly itched, ached, felt fundamentally wrong, and her claws dug into it with a ferocity that bordered on madness. After a long while, finally, it came off, the mask ripping away as she shrieked into the sky. Then, finally, she felt at least the faintest bit better, but it wasn’t enough. She wanted to grow, needed to grow, and so she simply set off through the deserts of Hueco Mundo to find a way of doing just that.
As it turned out, it wouldn’t take terribly long. She found the war in Hueco Mundo, and she used the opportunity to watch her fellow Arrancar battle with forces she could not understand. Demons? That was what they were called, and she found them fascinating, in perhaps ways that most of her kin seemed not to understand. That was fine, in her eyes, as she simply wished to grow more. So she fought, and she fought, and she continued to fight, until she found that there was nothing left to fight. She remained, surrounded by corpses, and while most Arrancar would have relished the glory of victory, and others might have moved on, all that she wanted to know was how each and every one of them worked. She studied their bodies, their spiritual makeup, learned whatever she could from having watched their warfare, and she did so for the whole of the war.
She might have found that to be enough, but no, she’d found much better. When the war ended, the demons left behind their own research. Efforts at understanding arrancar, improving them, assimilating their power. All of it would have been nearly useless now, but Kizuna studied it ravenously. She has done so for decades now, and finally, she has emerged from those laboratories smarter, more ambitious, and perhaps most crucially of all, deadlier than ever before. She knows perfectly well that she has ample room to grow, but that isn’t an issue for her. So long as she continues living, she’ll continue to see things grow. Herself, and the world around her. That’s all that matters.
POWERS AND SKILLS
○ Evolutionary Domination: Those who carry the Aspect of Death Evolution are somewhat abnormal when compared to most other Arrancar, for theirs is one that is passed down from one Arrancar to another. It compels Kizuna, and her predecessors before her, to grow to their absolute highest limits, almost to the point of insanity. When that point is reached, and these Arrancar can grow no further, they will find another Hollow with higher potential, and willingly feed themselves and their abilities to that Hollow to induce further growth in them, passing on the Aspect of Death.
○ Pylons: The greatest of all her inventions, Kizuna is capable of manifesting immense pylons from her energy, which take the form of hexagonal stone pillars approximately 10’ in length and 1’ in diameter. Despite their size and weight, she can manipulate them effortlessly, to such a degree that she is fully capable of surfing atop one (and does so quite often.) More pertinent than her ability to manipulate the pylons, however, is that Kizuna is capable of firing any Cero or Bala techniques from her pylons as easily as if from her own body. This provides her a source of tremendous firepower, as well as a wide array of firing patterns and angles of attack.
ARRANCAR ABILITIES
○ ZERO: Kizuna’s preferences in combat are overwhelmingly related to the myriad ways in which she can modify, adapt, and evolve the Cero according to her whims. It is quite possible that, removed from any considerations of actual practice or mastery, Kizuna is nothing short of the greatest prodigy of Cero to come into existence. Whether or not this actually is true is a matter of debate, but regardless of its validity, Kizuna herself believes it to be firmly the case. Between her natural predisposition toward the technique, and her zanpakuto's ability to further manipulate this energy, Kizuna has the potential for a vast array of techniques, and is fully capable of the level of creativity required to invent such techniques. While this is by no means an extensive list of Kizuna’s Cero, the following list serves as an example of her capabilities:
- Solitary Waver: By all accounts, Kizuna’s Solitary Waver is nothing more than a standard Cero. Its color is a bright red, matching the rest of her techniques, and it fires primarily from the center of her chest. Despite this, Kizuna is in fact capable of firing it from any place on her body. She just thinks the chest is cooler.
- Solitary Driver: Functionally no different from any other Gran Rey Cero utilized by a woman of her capabilities, this is different only by way of its delivery. That is to say, while Kizuna will manifest a tremendous sphere of her energy in one hand, she will then throw it up into the air, calling upon one of her Pylons in her hands. As the sphere falls back to the ground, Kizuna will then swing the Pylon with all of her might, driving the Cero forward at speeds that, by all accounts, seem far too fast to be accounted for simply by her strength. In fact, this firing mechanism is wholly for show, and in theory, should Kizuna actually find it necessary, she can deliver a completely mundane Gran Rey Cero.
- Solitary Anti-Nova: Cero Oscuras. Fired from Kizuna’s chest, much like the Solitary Wave, the key distinction between the two is only in the power utilized for this vastly more devastating technique. The black energy of the technique is accompanied by a violent red outline, and it travels through the air in a spiralling manner.
- Spark Array: A hybridization of the Cero with the mass-attack nature of the Bala, Spark Array is a Cero fired from Kizuna’s fingers, or from any of her pylons. Notably, she is capable of firing one from each finger simultaneously, leading to the possibility of 10 simultaneous Spark Arrays even without any pylons. When fired off, the Spark Array will fly forward in the typical shape of a cero, the characteristic wide beam which shares the same crimson hue as all of her cero techniques. However, shortly after firing, the cero will split off into dozens of smaller beams, which are capable of far more elaborate movement than a single cero. Each of these miniature beams are still fully within Kizuna’s control, and she often uses this not only to deal with swathes of lesser foes, but to overwhelm a single opponent.
- Ray-Arc: Condensing the power of a Gran Rey Cero into a more elastic and malleable form, Kizuna fires the beam forward from her fingertip into what is initially a straight line, but this technique is not intended for anything resembling accurate, tactical usage. Upon firing the Cero, Kizuna then quickly swipes her finger to one side, dragging the cero along like a whip and demolishing anything in its path with the wide side of the beam, rather than simply the point of initial impact.
- Mega Break Cannon: The first of the Cero Kizuna uses which is wholly impossible without the usage of her pylons, the Mega Break Cannon demands the deployment of, at minimum, 2 pylons. The Mega Break Cannon, simply described, is the fusion of multiple Cero into a singular, more powerful beam. Rather than focusing multiple separate attacks onto one target, Kizuna simply fires the beams such that they will collide and coalesce into a larger, more powerful attack. This technique is only able to be used with the Solitary Waver or the Solitary Driver, as the Solitary Anti-Nova is too powerful for her to currently manipulate into such an attack.
- Volitant Buster: A more advanced technique, and another one entirely reliant on Kizuna’s pylons, the Volitant Buster is designed to guarantee that Kizuna maintains control over the battlefield. By sending her pylons extremely high into the air, Kizuna is able to combine the Spark Array with the far more deadly Solitary Anti-Nova. However, due to the distance from which this technique is fired, and the more intense power now behind the Array, Kizuna has minimal control over where the beams actually land in the area of effect. This is not a technique utilized for precision; it is functionally a spiritual carpet bombing, mass destruction with no regard for accuracy.
○ Hierro: While Cero is by and away Kizuna’s area of expertise, her understanding of energy and her own body means that she is also very capable of developing and modifying the traditional hierro of the arrancar, though not to the same degree as she is with Cero.
- Hierro S-Type: The “shield-type,” this is, by any metric, a functionally standard Hierro. The only significant difference is that the Hierro makes a hex-grid pattern when impacted, an alteration entirely of Kizuna’s own design.
- Hierro A-Type: The “active-type,” this development of standard hierro allows Kizuna to supplement her standard hierro with a reactionary defense, multiple layers of hierro rapidly layering themselves over the expected point of impact. Because of this, one can expect that many blows to Kizuna, when she is on the defensive, will all but glance off of her, as her hierro is rapidly forming to protect ever more layers. This is not without weakness, of course, most obviously that it is, as the name states, “active.” If one strikes Kizuna without her awareness of the attack, or in a manner that catches her drastically off-guard, she cannot actually form this active defense.
- Hierro D-Type: The “disruptor-type,” this hierro is, unlike the A-type, always active alongside the S-Type. Hierro D-Type creates a secondary layer of defense over the S-Type, but this layer, rather than simply creating a physical defense, operates as a lattice of spiritual energy, dispersing energy-based attacks which strike her, even if only slightly. However, this lattice will redirect the energy of attacks which impact her and allow said energy to be utilized for her own means. It should be noted that the actual defensive measures that this provides are only slightly higher than standard Hierro--the energy she redirects is, overwhelmingly, still damaging her body.
○ Pesquisa: The ability of Arrancar to trace energy and creatures similarly to a form of radar, Kizuna has tuned this ability as well. While not nearly as impressively specialized as her Cero, or even her Hierro, Kizuna's Pesquisa is still nevertheless a crucial part of her approach to combat, and while she has not developed more elaborate or specialized techniques with it, she is capable of fighting perfectly well even should her vision be totally impaired.
ZANPAKUTO
○ Zanpakuto Name: Emperador
○ Zanpakuto Appearance: Kizuna’s zanpakuto is exceptionally abnormal, taking the form only of a small rope which wraps around her waist most of the time.
○ Sealed Abilities: Emperador, unlike the zanpakuto of most Arrancar, provides Kizuna with no sealed abilities.
RESURRECCION
○ Name: Emperador Primera
○ Release: Striking a dynamic pose with one hand over her eye, Kizuna’s hand becomes enveloped in volatile, lightning-like energy. She then speaks her release phrase, “Change! Emperador Primera!”
○ Appearance: Upon the release of her Resurreccion, Kizuna’s appearance, for the most part, does not change. The most significant shift is that the rope around her waist gains a quite large addition, a ring of rope which floats behind her back, though she can control it freely. The ring’s size can shift relatively significantly, reaching diameters of anywhere from 10’ to 1’.
○ Abilities: Emperador Primera’s function, when released, is one that does not abide by typical resurreccion standards. While Kizuna does gain the typical physical increases in power that one would expect to match a resurreccion, there is no immediately apparent change in her actual stable of abilities. However, this is because its ability is one that is both highly versatile and highly volatile; forced evolution by extreme energy influx. When anything passes through the ring at Kizuna’s back, it is immediately filled with a colossal influx of energy, easily akin to a typical major attack from a resurreccion of Kizuna’s ability. Obviously, this is quite catastrophic to any foreign object or entity which passes through it, and the ring can as such be used as something of a shield, preventing many things from passing through the circle.
However, this is not how Kizuna uses it primarily. Rather, Kizuna uses it to empower herself and her abilities, by directing her attacks through the ring and imbuing them with that energy. Even a punch from her relatively modest build can carry tremendous force if delivered through this ring, for instance, and her cero, if fired through it, become tremendously empowered. Because of this exceptional versatility, Kizuna uses it in non-standard and unusual ways, but it ultimately has the same limitations on usage as any other resurreccion.

How many pylons can Kizuna have active at once?
How long does it take to create one?
Is there a limit on how many times each Pylon can be used to shoot ceros from? Furthermore, do they ever expire or remain until destroyed?
How durable are these Pylons?
If she can manipulate them effortlessly, in what manner does she do so? Mental commands? Can this connection be severed?
Can she control multiple at once? Is there a limit to how many she can be controlling at any one time?
Mostly fine with this, just want to clarify something.
So Kizuna’s abilities are enhanced when passing through the ring, she is not harmed or negatively impacted by passing through it and neither are her energy based attacks? Whereas anything that does not come from Kizuna is blasted with a powerful energy attack when it passes through the ring?

Kizuna can have 2 active pylons per rank in Mental Deduction. I'd have just said she has 8, but a) this gives room to scale, and b) I actually intended this as something she could theoretically teach other Arrancar, so it'd have to scale.
The process for making new ones is that she has to infuse physical material with her spiritual energy so that it can form the actual pylons, so I'd say it's probably a full post of concentrated effort, but that would also just remake her max number rather than replacing the current missing ones.

They're an extension of her spiritual energy, so realistically they'd be about as durable as her hierro should be.

She doesn't need to see the pylons, she can sense through them. Max range would be the scope of whatever her tier is (i.e. 4-5 would be about a small building, 2-5 would be about a small town, etc.)
