What makes someone expendable? What is the point of existing? Does morals matter to a being without an expiration date? What even is the future? Hiroi found herself, for better or worse, trapped in her own mind with nothing btu controversial questions. One could blame her newest love for reading and information gathering that came with her newfound existence as a true Danava. Before this, she was entirely consumed with simply satisfying her hunger and living life day by day. Now, she's become consumed by the idea of learning more about why other creatures exist the way they do. One thing that's been eating her up is the difference of souls that populate the multiple realms. Why do beings exist in Soul Society separately from Earth? Why do humans die and end up here? Hollow's existence by itself makes her head hurt. Then there are so many other races, including Danava. Why? Why does it all exist?

Ugh. Why must she hunger in more than physically? Why has her mind become as much of a plague to her as her stomach? She has little resources to pull from either. She is but a foreign entity in Soul Society, and the anxiety of interacting with its denizens has her a little shy. The books leave her questioning everything as well. She has learned of basic history, but she knows there is more beyond that. The only one she feels reliable speaking around is but a single redhead. Though, approaching Kimitsuki has proven somewhat complexed. Hiroi did not know she would feel so awkward butting in on what seemed an entirely personal situation. Finding herself a guest to this Abalia woman, yet barely allowed around in a way, her perplexed in how to handle everything. However, a quick sneaky visit shouldn't hurt, especially considering she could smell Kimitsuki in the gardens of the estate. If no one knows she is here, then there is no fault.

"Kimitsuki?"

A few calls to the redhead should be enough. Hiroi won't push her luck.

KIMITSUKI YAMAMOTO

Kimitsuki had honestly been enjoying herself quite a bit during the days and nights. During the day, she protected Abalia as a personal guard and friend, while also looking after her children as if she was their second mother, even if she was not so. In the evenings, Kimitsuki spent time with the Danava who Kimitsuki had finally convinced Abalia to take into the Seireitei. She was not taken in as one of the family, not like Kimitsuki had, but Kimitsuki was allowed to bring Hiroi with her as long as Hiroi relatively kept to herself while she was in the household, didn't bring some form of dishonor, or cause any potential issues. Of course, Hiroi interpreted that as 'never leave Kimi's room'. Kimitsuki didn't convince the woman of otherwise, no matter how she tried, so she let it be; getting the occasional reading material for Hiroi so the woman was not bored. Along with the intricate meals that Kimitsuki had learned thanks to Hiroi's already endless appetite.

Such reasons were why Kimitsuki, while relaxing alone in the estate's garden, Kimitsuki heard Hiroi's voice echoing through the garden; in such a tone that Kimitsuki knew Hiroi did need her nigh immediately. She let out a tiny sigh, knowing that Hiroi need not hide herself. However, the Danava went to where Hiroi was calling out to Kimitsuki from, and carefully extricated Hiroi from her little hiding place, smiling warmly as she drew Hiroi into a gentle hug.

"You know, Hiroi, I've told you a lot of times, you don't need to sneak around just to see me. But, that's besides the point. What's the matter? Did I not leave enough food for you this morning? Or has your reading material gone stale and you need some new books~?"

The Danava was so kind, as always, and even Hiroi could tell that being here, the garden and estate in general, made Kimitsuki so relaxed. However, it was even more obvious that Kimitsuki was positively delighted to see Hiroi; even if the hug didn't make it wholly obvious. Either way, Kimitsuki was very happy to see Hiroi.

"Whether I am allowed to roam about freely is not the reasoning behind my chosen solitude."

Kimitsuki understands herself enough to keep that flame that could control the world in check. Hiroi understands that she does not have that control. The Danava understands that enough about herself to know better than to place herself around humanity overzealously. In her shortened stature, Hiroi barely moved to return the arms placed around her in a caring manner. Though, Hiroi's mind is simply consumed by other topics. Simple mannerisms such as returning a hug or saying hello were easy to push aside when one is entirely absorbed in another matter. In her own way, Hiroi is happy to see Kimitsuki, but the redheaded Danava already knows that her allowed physical contact with Hiroi is Hiroi's own way of showing her endearment.

It is better than allowing Hiroi's more rambunctious tendencies free.

"Kimitsuki. Soul Society is interesting. The books you have given me are not the issue. I read each and every one every day. However, I still struggle to understand the question of why. There are multiple answers, some more intrinsic than others. It hurts Hiroi's head to try and digest each one. However, it has come to my attention that Hiroi has never asked Kimitsuki why..."

Deciding to simply cut to the chase and not ponder the details about her daily experiences, Hiroi asked a rather vague question that wasn't even a question. It isn't clear what why even means, but that's because Hiroi has no idea how to even ask. Why does Kimitsuki smile? Why does Kimitsuki watch children? Why does Kimitsuki this and that and those and these... It is rare for Hiroi to show emotion when restraining herself, but the Danava face scrunched in annoyance, the only emotion she has been able to show in her times of studying.
