Psychological Analysis
Independent. Cynical. Reserved. Loyal.Karin Kurosaki was a girl that lived in a home where family was one of the most important things to her, but despite this she felt like most alone. Having nobody to really talk with about her problems, it has reflected on her personality.
Karin is the kind of person who almost never asks for help, and even when offered it she’s hesitant to accept. By this point in her life, she subscribes to the belief that there are no good people, just bad ones trying to fool people. She herself is no exception to this rule, in fact she fits in the latter. That being said, lots of her issues and problems she faces alone, partially because of her distrust in others but also because it’s a show of weakness. If there’s anything that she doesn’t want people to think of her, its that she’s weak. When people think you’re weak, they start to take advantage of you, and situations like those just become annoying to fix more than anything. And, in tandem with that train of thought, Karin is anything but a quitter. Even if she’s hit a brick wall, she’d just keep hitting it over and over and over again until it goes down, assuming she’s invested in doing so. There’s a real possibility that she didn’t particularly care going into a situation, in which case she will quickly go back to not caring and just forget about the task.
One thing that she does care about a lot, however, is her kids. Family is still an important thing in Karin’s life, despite the fact that most of her children are grown and out of the house. She is the kind of mother that will call you every now and then to check up on you but still expects you to return home for the holidays. That said, because it’s so important to her, if her family doesn’t cherish each other like she does she will start to think less of them. In the end they’re still family and she’d love them, but Karin isn’t afraid of picking favorites, especially when she’s a Great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother.
Her work friends and real friends cherish her for being reliable, almost always being the first person to assist whenever anybody needs help. So much to the point that she often just helps out strangers who are in need, such as the homeless. However, when she does this for her friends she tends to want something in return, whether it be at that moment or sometime in the future. As a doctor she’s sort of used to helping out strangers for free, but doesn’t mind charging her friends.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Karin was born as one of two fraternal twins, being the self-proclaimed middle child of the Kurosaki family. This, at least to Karin, is when things started going downhill. Fortunately, for the first 11 years of her life things were relatively normal. Ever since she was young she’s been able to see spirits, though it took her a few years before she realized that it was not something exclusive to her. Her older brother, Ichigo, seemed to have a much stronger affinity towards the dead than she did, where Karin would see blurry figures he would see and interact with people. As she got older, out of some sort of weird jealousy, Karin stopped taking notice of them. Would go as far to say that she didn’t even believe in them, though she mainly used this excuse to tease her younger sister.
However, there was a drastic shift in ideology when she was attacked by a hollow. While it was not the first time, it was the first time she was conscious. The existence of hollows to her young, developing mind, was somewhat equivalent to a culture shock. And things only got weirder after that point when she caught a glimpse of Ichigo in a weird getup with a huge sword.
By this time, unbeknownst to her, Karin was already starting to develop abilities, like most of Ichigo’s friends. Unlike them, however, she did not get the chance to actually use her newfound power, as a fullbring doesn’t find much use in the everyday life of a teenage girl. Though, when her brother was taking an extended vacation (in which some weirdo was in his body), Karin was approached by a weird stranger in a hat and clogs. He offered her help with trying to develop her powers, but Karin wasn’t fond of people let alone strangers so she turned him down.
Following the whole Aizen incident, things went back to normal, somewhat. Weird people stopped showing up, but hollows started to show up in droves. So much so, that it started to become a problem not just for her, but the people around her as well. At first, she would just watch as a shinigami would show up, kill the hollow, and leave, but after a while they would attack so frequently that eventually she was forced to show her hand. For the first couple of fights, she’d lose badly. There’d be weeks where she was so badly injured that she would just miss a few weeks of school at a time, the reason cited being random gas leaks or accidents. For a while people used to call her Black Cat because of how unlucky she seemingly was, and Karin hated the nickname.
During her second year at Karakura High School, marking 5 years since the attacks had started (making her 17), Karin was approached by a suspicious group of people. A group of people who had powers like her, which was somewhat rare for the time. They called themselves Xcution, and they were offering Karin a position with them, to give her the chance to grow in a safe environment and learn about a whole other world. By this point, she was pretty tired of having to deal with the hollows, and figured it’d only be a matter of time before she would stop winning and start losing once again. But before she would give them her answer, she would approach Urahara and asked him for his help. He agreed, while teasing her about it, and led her to a place where they could train. Then he threw her in the Senkaimon, without any warning and jumped in behind her. He gave a brief explanation of what was going to happen: he was going to try and kill her while she would have to get past him and back through the Senkaimon gate, otherwise she’d be trapped in the Dangai until he opened it again. It was a tough fight for Karin and she barely escaped. However, through this fight she was able to become more in tune with her powers, basically pushing them to a level that she never though possible. Where before Karin could only make brittle constructs out of her power, Urahara helped her mold it, weaponize it. Rightfully, she was pissed at him afterwards but ultimately she was grateful for his help.
Following that interaction, she had declined Xcution’s invitation and had pursued a career in the medical field after graduating. Despite her tomboyish and crass nature, Karin had gotten good grades and thus studied abroad at Yale Medical. It was there that she had gotten the staple American college experience, complete with the lack of money and bad decisions. She, luckily, made it out after 10 years, being 28 as she graduated with her PhD. During this time, she’s sort of integrated herself with the small community around her and has gotten to know the people. Many relationships she had gone through, but in her last year of residency she became pregnant with her first child. The father? Another student there. The child was not born until after she finished her studies and was back in Japan, and by that point the father had dropped all contact with her.
Now a single mother in need of a job, she moved back in with her father, who had wasted no time rubbing it in with his own special charisma. Lending a hand at the clinic, a couple of decades would go by before she would work to expand it into its own full on hospital, all the while having another child at the end of the project. This would be the norm for her since then, progressing in the medical world while meeting guys and having kids. Family was a big aspect of her life and it would continue to be, though despite that she still has trouble getting an actual husband.
Recently, she's tried to reach out to her brother to no avail. Due to her current situation, it's difficult to actually go out there and search for him but it's something that Karin wants to do. They've always had a complicated relationship, but Ichigo had always been there for her. So she wanted to be there for him.
POWERS AND ABILITIES
○ Hollow, In Nature: Karin is a fullbringer, a person with abilities that are hollow-like. That being said, if one were to try and track her by her energy, then what they would find in her place would be a hollow rather than a human. Don’t get it twisted, however, Karin is still very much human. Or at least more human than some people she knows.
This doesn’t really have much combat applications but it does help her with avoiding Hollows nowadays as they tend to stay away from large energy sources. However, on the flip side, Shinigami visit her often thinking that she’s eating people.
○ Lorde, In Concept: A weirdly worded spiritual power trait. Given her unique makeup, just like her brother, Karin has an incredibly high amount of Spiritual Energy. In fact, due to the previous ability and this one, upon trying to sense her most would think that she is a Vasto Lorde hollow given her immense amount of spiritual energy. Because of this fact, as to discern whether or not it is actually Karin versus an actual hollow, she is currently required by the Gotei to stay in Karakura Town under the anti-hollow protection system. In fact, if she were to leave and try to come back it is highly likely that she would just die.
Having lived with herself for a while now, she has gained proper control over it to stop herself from infecting those around with her hollow energy. Despite this, most of her kids still have some fragments of it inside of them.
Given her level of control over her Fullbring coupled with her energy pool, Karin at the moment has a basically limitless pool to draw from considering that it doesn't take too much to use Kuro Keigun in the first place.
○ Medical Expert: Having practiced for hundreds of years now, Karin Kurosaki has become a household name in the medical field. While not only having expertise in general medicine, Karin has also pursued higher learning in every medical field possible, this knowledge extending past humans into the realm of animals and spirits. During the introduction of spiritual races to Earth, Karin was at the forefront of research for breaking down the anatomy of things such as hollows, demons, and the rest of the races. She’s one of the main contributors to the fact that any race can be treated in the living realm with the medicine that is available to them, and even if they can’t be treated problems can be pointed out.
Besides what she has contributed and what she knows, Karin is capable of operating on nearly any creature as long as she knows their body. The general anatomy of every species is readily available in her mind, making combat much easier as she doesn’t have to go searching for a demon’s core or a shinigami’s soul chain. Having the hands of an experienced surgeon and the eyes of an experienced doctor, her hand movements are precise and her eyes can pick out even the tiniest of flaws in the largest of beasts.
FULLBRING
○ Fullbring Name: Kuro Keigun, Black Lone Army (黒煢軍)
○ Fullbring Stage: Despite having it for a long time, Kuro Keigun is still in Stage 0, or it’s infant stage. This stage is comparable to when Chad first got his arm or a pre-arrancar Orihime. It’s safe to say that though she has basically mastered her Fullbring, it is currently at a wall until she is able to evolve it further.
○ Fullbring Appearance: Karin's fullbring, unlike most fullbring, isn't tied to an object but rather herself. The fullbring is a black, wispy, liquid-like material that she can make from her body, though it usually comes from her hands. It does not stain when it comes in contact with other surfaces and, in fact, when it touches anything and isn't in a form it just fades out of existence.
Through the use of abilities, it can change and take different forms as Karin needs it to. However, until Karin unlocks that ability, it is confined to the forms she has at the moment.
○ Fullbring Abilities:
○ The Black Arsenal: The main ability of Kuro Keigun. What it lacks in raw, destructive power, this ability makes up for with the versatility that it could potentially give Karin. In essence, Karin can create any kind of object that she has seen with her own eyes and, as long as she is familiar with the workings of the abilities of said object, can mimic the abilities that come with the object too. However, for all purposes, Black Arsenal is her version of a spirit weapon and would follow the rules as such when considering other abilities besides her own.
The weapons that she has on hand are below:
○ Ichigo Zanto: An incredibly large, human-sized sword built from the memories of her childhood. Measuring as 6 feet tall and 10 inches wide, the Strawberry Sword isn't exactly the easiest thing to wield nor maneuver with but being one of her first creations it is the one she prefers in most situations.
○ Kurohime: Based off of Urahara's Shikai that Karin would frequent training against during her teenage years. It pretty much has the same appearance beside the fact that it's all matte black from the tip of the sword down to the cloth in the hilt.
Equipment
None, at the moment. (I'm really bad with this equipment thing.)

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
"Alright, I can give you the good news or the bad news." Dr. Kurosaki walked into the room of her patient, cigarette in mouth. Normally, anywhere else they would yell at her to put it out, no smoking in the building, yadda yadda. But, she all but owned the place so they realistically couldn't tell her shit. lest they wanted to test their job security. Not that it was something Karin would actually do, but she liked to keep rookies scared.
"Uh... good?" Karin nodded in response. It was expected, most people didn't want to hear back awful news unless they were depressed. And she wasn't that kind of doctor.
"Damn, you like to suck all the fun out of things." She sat in one of the chairs in the room and tossed her clipboard onto a table. "You're perfectly fine. Nothing's wrong with you. You'll make it to your birthday, Christmas, etcetera etcetera." The tone of her voice didn't exactly convey it, but Karin was glad that he was going to be okay. She's always felt a little bit of guilt when a patient entrusts her with their life and all she could do was watch them wither away.
"Thank you doctor! And the good-" He was cut off by the sound of Karin's phone going off. It only ever does that if it's family trying to contact her, so it does it all the time. Instinctively, she checked it. A call, from one of her grandsons. This one was in highschool, and for some odd reason they were really close so he would come to her for life advice.
"Sorry. I gotta take this." Frantically, she picked up her clipboard and stood up. "Oh, right. Bad news was that the tech we used to make sure that nothing was wrong with you was actually pretty new. And expensive." Refusing to elaborate further, she stormed out of the room, the clack of her heels against the hard floor echoing in the room as the patient just sat there in awe.

I appreciate that Karin might not have done all that much in the past four hundred years since graduating from school and becoming a mother, but is there nothing to be said about any of the world-defining events that have occurred across the centuries? The World Wars, Demonic incursions, anything else?
No, it's not. There is no evidence in this app that justifies such a claim, nor does it seem prudent to suggest such, even for Ichigo's sister.
I assume you mean pre-Arrancar arc?
What are the limiting factors of this incredibly open-ended and vague ability that allows Karin to replicate the form and abilities of any object she has an unspecified amount of familiarity with? It is mentioned earlier that this doesn't take much energy and is also only in Stage 0, but from what is written here there are no real limitations or constraints upon an incredibly powerful ability. Please expand upon this ability with further clarifications and detail, or simplify it down to a much more restricted level.
If her Fullbring is in Stage 0, or rather it's infant stage, I don't think Advanced Power Control is really befitting of the app.
