Yuujin is a shining example of someone who wants to walk his own path. Surrounded by people who all do the same thing, it’s no wonder that someone with a fresh mind would be shunned. He’s expected to take up the family business, follow the rules like the others, but he’s not about that life. That’s why he’s looked upon as a stubborn liability. Yuujin doesn’t enjoy being placed in any category, but he’s not one to actively address issues that come his way with annoying antics. Even if he disagrees with something, if he finds no fault with it, he will do his best to accomplish the task.

Though, despite his stubborn, yet dutiful, thought process, he does have a bit of a mouth. He doesn’t actively start arguments, but he is a rather snippy individual. He’s slick and doesn’t mind using conversation to try to get an edge in any situation. Though not actively antagonistic, he knows how to make use of sweet words just as vividly.

This all just adds up when one discovers how determined Yuujin is. No is never the right way to get him to quit. He’s fine with suffering a bit for success, and he won’t shy away from hard challenges. Hit the books, the gym, or simply annoy someone until he gets what he wants: Yuujin is a guy who’ll do his best no matter what.

Some people are proud to be born a Noble. Some people, like Yuujin, find it more a burden than a blessing. For those born first, their lives are normally full of privilege and unrequited love. For those born afterwards, it’s a coinflip whether they receive the same amount of attention as the first. It’s always about the head of the family and the next after them. That is the kind of life Yuujin was subjected to. Nothing was ever expected of him. Nothing was ever asked of him. He just had to make sure he never spoiled the Tamabuki name, and, in turn, spoil the Koizumi name.

A child of the Tamabuki Noble Family, a branch of the Koizumi that specialized in secretary work, it was expected of Yuujin to grow up and become but another secretary. His elder brother, on the other hand, was given a special duty. The head of the Tamabuki proved the only one allowed to wield a special Zanpakuto that allowed them to run the main business of the Tamabuki. With such a future, Yuujin’s elder brother was always busy with their father, leaving Yuujin to be trained by others. Of course, this did well in festering jealousy within Yuujin.

It became clear he would never be able to gain his father’s attention through normal means, even if he did his best. So, if he could not be loved through good deeds, he shall be loved through other means. Soon, it became a habit for him to leave home and return at random with injuries littering his person. Fighting in the Rukongai became his hobby. It did its job of getting him reprimanded. Though, that bit of freedom he felt when fighting soon became an uncontrollable issue. Even as he gained attention, it soon became a hollow victory. After punishment, he was simply pushed to the side again, a troublemaker not worth the time anymore.

The only thing that felt worthwhile was fighting and winning. They acknowledged him at least. Each fight, more and more of them came to know his name, and more and more would come to challenge him. Soon, he stopped training to become a secretary and spent most of his time training his body. His family did not agree with his newfound joy. Even though they are a part of the Koizumi, as a small branch of the family, fighting would never help them become as well known as the more main families. They found his fighting as rebellious and nothing but trouble.

However, he didn’t want to give up on his desire and began training in secret. Though, eventually, he was discovered and given an ultimatum: stop or be exiled. Honestly, he chose exile in the end. A family that barely recognizes him doesn’t deserve to be able to dictate his life, so he just left in the end. Where did he go? At first, he tried the Academy, but he found it a deadend. Yes. He could grow stronger, become a Shinigami, and become like so many others, but he found himself uninspired by that life. It took a bit of soul searching and book reading, but he found his answer.

Shunko and the sorts, techniques mastered by specific fighters. He cared little about obtaining a Zanpakuto, but the idea of perfecting techniques from these people inspired his young mind. Why be like everyone else when he could become as legendary as Yoruichi or like Shishiyuki. Though, the fact that they’re Nobles pushed him away from wanting to interact with them. Being exiled is a big deal after all, so he decided to try and look for something else, and that’s when he found another person.

That discovery led him to Earth and also forced him to use his brain to get through a lot of little situations that eventually left him a helper for some weird rough looking blonde guy and a rather interesting fighter.

○ Basic Martial Arts: Yuujin boasts no special skills or anything outside of his understanding of Shaolin Kung-Fu. Though, he knows only the bare basics of the universal fighting style, he has become interested enough to where he has begun trying and practicing the multiple styles of Shaolin Kung-Fu. It is his indecisiveness that keeps him from choosing a route to ascend, but it does give him a strong understanding of basic fighting etiquette which makes him capable of fighting even adults if they have no prior training.
