Miyanaga Miyabi [Ziamichi]

Personality: Miyabi is a kind, light-hearted and cheerful girl on most occasions. She likes to smile and does it often, especially when she thinks that someone takes things too seriously. She is usually seen eating sweets and she also uses the word 'sweet' many-many times as her favorite word. Miyabi tends to refer to herself in third person and ends most of her sentences with ~desu, like a child, and thinks up all kinds of nicknames just so she can call herself a lot of different names. If she uses the sound 'hauuuu~' at the beginning of a sentence, you can also be sure that she's excited for whatever reason.

However, her easy-going, somewhat childish attitude and innocent, playful nature covers a vengeful and dark heart. She truly despises the Gotei 13 and all of their allies for what they did to her and her family. When it comes to dealing with her past comrades, she becomes much more serious, aggressive and arrogant. After all, she was a big talent and she is fully aware of this, making her believe she is better than anyone else under the influence of the laws of Soul Society.

Despite her cheesy side Miyabi is actually very smart and perceptive, capable to devise effective strategies in battle as well as feeling the emotions of the people around her. She is the type who won't give up easily, she is very determined to achieve her goals. This girl is behaving calmly and collected when it matters the most, and never loses her composure.

Appearance: Miyabi is a young, pretty girl with a great figure. She has silky, golden blonde hair with a length reaching all the way down to her waist, big, blue eyes, full of vitality, beautiful, angel-like face and a slim body with attractive curves

Background/History:
Miyanaga Miyabi was born in Soul Society, nearly 750 years ago as the daughter of two captain-class shinigamis As such, she was considered as an outstanding talent who will likely to become a captain herself when she grows up. She is now a grown-up, but she instead became a rogue-shinigami, someone who associates herself with shady organizations and tries everything to cause as much problem to the Gotei 13 as she can. What could have happened in the past centuries that caused our bright, shining star to become corrupted and evil? Let's find out!

Miyabi was personally taught by her parents to the essentials of becoming a fine shinigami, so don't even try to look her up in the records of the Shinou Academy, you won't find her there. She quickly proved herself as a talented being, her training went very smoothly, and Miyabi was steadily improving with his skills, becoming better and better literally day by day. By the time she learned the very basics of the zankensoki, her mother decided to make her join her division and gave her a rank of an officer so the little girl could learn what are responsibility and duty for. That's what the kind of parents she had. Caring, loving and responsible. They were not spoiling her yet she was a very happy kid, who had everything she needed. Miyabi was in the best hands and on the best way to become a legendary warrior and a good person generally.

At the same time she joined the 3rd division she also had to make an important decision. Miyabi seemed equally talented in all the four ways of the shinigami combat techniques, but it was impossible for such a little girl to work on all of them beyond the basics she already knew. She was asked to choose two skills she wanted to further improve her abilities and while zanjutsu was an obvious choice for her, since her father was quite famous for his swordsmanship, and she also realised that the art of the sword is the very essence of being a death god. But she was unsure on the second one, Miyabi couldn't really decide between the remaining three. However, one night she had a dream. In that dream, she met a gloomy-looking girl who told her to choose kidou over the other two and she tried to convince her to become a long-range type of fighter. Miyabi somehow felt that she can trust that other little lady and finally she picked demon magic.

She spent the next few decades honing her skills with excellent results although most of the division members thought of her as a hindrance who could only become a shinigami officer at such a young age because she was the daughter of the captain. Miyabi wasn't really aware of this and did not understand why was Mommy so angry from time to time, but when she tried to ask, she was always told that she doesn't need to worry. Those, who complained the most were already weaker than Miyabi and ultimately they left the division barracks 'for a new challenge'. Well, more precisely they were forced to leave by the stern captain. Of course not everyone were hateful towards the little Miyabi, the cute loli of the sanbantai made a fair amount of friends during the years and she started to get more and more popular outside the division too.

However, no one can live an entirely happy and carefree life and once Miyabi got to know the spirit of her zanpakutou, problems quickly started arising around her. The first encounter with the spirit left her crying and cowering in fear. She couldn't comprehend how could a being born out of her soul say so mean, terrific and cruel things to her. "There's no way she's my zanpakutou." That's what she thought and after all, she was right. It wasn't a zanpakutou spirit, it was something else. Something darker, something which oppressed her real soul of her sword. Because Ougon no Majo was, as the name implies, in fact a real witch trying to turn Miyabi into her loyal follower, her apprentice.

That witch was none other than one of the most powerful and undeniably the cruelest one in the world, Mirabaal, the Witch of Wishes. She was a terrible and frightful opponent who could bring just about anyone to their knees with her overwhelming magic power, which allowed her to turn any of her wish into reality. She was toying with humans like mere puppets and she used them for the sake of her own entertainment by creating cruel games, in which she killed her victims numerous times, torturing them every time. However no matter how strong she was, Mira decided to not interfere with the war between hollows and shinigamis, since none of them could provide her the same pleasure as humans did. On the other hand, she realized that she needs an apprentice and for a powerful one she needs someone with a huge potential. For that, it was inevitable to meddle with death gods and after a little research, she found the perfect material. That was Miyabi. Mira then proceeded to seal a part of her own soul in the baby girl after she was born and with that, a ziamichi was created.

Mirabaal planned to oppress Miyabi's zanpakutou spirit right after she was born out of the girl's soul and her manipulative nature helped the witch to lock her up in a place where Miyabi couldn't reach the prisoner easily. Then, she simply took the place of the zanpakutou spirit and waited for the shinigami to appear in her inner soul, so she can start teaching her. She knew it was going to take a lot of time to affect her personality and turn her into a dark and evil entity, but she thought it's worth the wait. Albeit the initial interactions failed between the ziamichi and the host, Miyabi slowly accepted her "zanpakutou spirit" and she could start learning how to use her "shikai".

As Miyabi constantly gave nicknames to herself while talking, she was ought to receive some from others as well. Ironically, she received the nickname Mahou Shoujo since she was a young girl who excelled in kidou, unbeknownst to others that she was on her way to become a witch in a thousand years or so. Once Miyabi grasped the basic concept of the shikai level of her zanpakutou, she was starting to get harder tasks, including more challenging and more dangerous missions. Unfortunately for her, she needed to rely more and more on the power of her sword, and Ougon no Majo didn't fail to try to benefit from her circumstances. The witch forced her to act unnecessarily violent against her opponents in an attempt to bring darkness to her soul. But Miyabi wasn't happy when she had to take the life of a living creature. She was in pain, but she decided to keep it for herself and try to solve it alone.

Another century flew away and Mirabaal felt that the sealed part of her soul doesn't make much progress in bringing the girl to the dark side. She formed a new plan and decided to use the real spirit of her zanpakutou for that purpose. The real Ougon no Majo was set free and Mira's spirit tried to fuse with her. Obviously, she met some resistance and thus the battle between the two spirits started. The fight, however, was barely met the definition of a battle. It was one-sided and hopeless for the zanpakutou spirit since the invader was much more powerful than her. She managed to put some minor scratches on Mirabaal's minion, but the end result was unavoidable. The forceful merge created a new entity which was neither a zanpakutou nor a witch. This new Ougon no Majo mostly inherited the personality of the intruder and the appearance of the zanpakutou spirit, making her more credible to Miyabi. Unfortunately for Mirabaal, the powers of the real sword was more dominant in the new creature despite the loss she suffered, so the witch's power only buffed up the original skills of the zanpakutou, making it a wind-type instead of something more mysterious.

Ougon no Majo was of course lying to Miyabi when she came to know what happened in her soul. The girl recognized the silent advisor from her earlier dream which led her down the path of learning kidou spells, and believed her story about finally overcoming the intruder she had in her mind. Miyabi was finally put at ease by the news, even if that meant another round of learning shikai skills, since the power of her sword was entirely different this time. She wasn't cautious around her zanpakutou spirit anymore, and that was a key element for Mirabaal's success. She could finally start moving around in person and start forming the life of her future apprentice. Even Lady Luck was on the witch's side: horrible events befell on the life of Miyabi even without the intervention of Mira.

On a mission one of the captains went berserk and killed off several of his companions before he was finally stopped. One of the victims was none other than the mother of Miyabi. She and her father was shocked by the news, the sudden, unexpected break-up of the family had a heavy impact on both of them. And while they were still mourning, Mirabaal started to move the strings behind the scenes and Miyabi's father quickly found himself accused with treason by the Central Chamber of 46. He was thrown into detention immediately, resulting in the loss of both parents for Miyabi in a mere few months. Her life was turned upside down from one moment to the other and she was left alone and vulnerable. Vulnerable to Ougon no Majo who gave her false hints to what really happened to her mother. The spirit told Miyabi that she was assassinated by the Central Chamber of 46 and the story about the captain who went crazy was simply a cover-up. "They deemed your family too powerful and too dangerous, that's why." She said to the girl when she was asking for the reasons. This small, but effective lie was more than enough to rock the foundation of her trust in the Gotei 13. She became suspicious and looked up several incidents only to find out that they are truly corrupt. The quincy genocide, Project Spearhead, the bounts. All of these past events confirmed her suspicion and from that moment on, she couldn't trust anyone anymore.

Miyabi swore upon herself that she was going to change Soul Society, uncover the truth, eliminate corruption and bring justice to the souls living there. However, it was not so easy as she initially thought, even finding allies proved to be too difficult. Some didn't even believe, some simply ignored her and said it was okay. She was getting more and more desperate to a point, where Miyabi started to doubt that Soul Society can be saved. And there was one more event awaiting for her, the one, that made her, one of the most promising talents, an exile.

One day Mirabaal suddenly disappeared. The reason was unclear, but most likely she met a formidable foe somewhere who defeated her. That was the fate of every witch in the history of humanity. The sealed part of her soul, which was residing in Miyabi lost contact with the source and that corrupted the ziamichi entirely. The personality of the zanpakutou spirit finally came forth and became the dominant half, but that was already a twisted, distorted persona. This new ziamichi was thirsty for killing, she desired endless bloodshed and she tricked Miyabi into giving her the control of her body. It was a very difficult mission where the girl and her team had to fight with adjuchas-class hollows. Miyabi and her allies found themselves in a position where they were losing. But then, Ougon no Majo offered Miyabi a greater power that she could possibly imagine, a power with which she could save everyone. Unsuspecting the truth, she accepted the offer as her last resort to win and her Ziamichi-mode was activated for the first time. When she came to, everyone was slaughtered around him, hollows and shinigamis alike. Of course Ougon no Majo denied her involvement in killing their allies, nevertheless when she came back from the otherwise successful mission, Miyabi was arrested for treason.

All she saw was conspiracy around her when Miyabi was confronted the Central Chamber of 46 about her actions. She was given death sentence, but on their way out, she managed to break out and escape to the Human World. She didn't even try to prove her innocence. She was fed up with the whole Gotei 13 and she decided to consider them as an enemy of herself. Even when she learned the truth about what happened back then on her mission, she wasn't angry or remorseful. She thought they deserved their death for serving such a corrupt system without trying to do anything about it. In her eyes, everyone who was content with such a regime deserved a horrible fate. She was not that cute little girl anymore, Miyabi had grown up to someone who lusted for revenge.

As most of the exiled shinigamis, Miyabi also became a regular customer at the Urahara Souten. She obtained a faux body and started to live as an ordinary girl in the Human World. She started a completely new life as she started to go to school, find new friends and she also fell in love for the first time. She was happy... but not entirely. Miyabi was still bothered with her past and eventually she decided that she needs to get back to her former life at least partly. But as she went to hunt hollows more and more frequently, she also met with shinigamis who were looking at her as an enemy. She got involved in more and more fights and she was barely able to keep up with her double life. Miyabi had to choose between revenge and her false happiness, but she couldn't decide until a fateful day, when she met a man. That man visited her in her apartment and he knew everything about Miyabi much to her surprise. He was there to recruit her into Kokuryuteshi and he offered everything the girl wanted. A chance and power to help changing the world and a promise that they will save her father from the detention and clear his name. Miyabi didn't have to think too much about her answer. Her decision led her onto yet another path and she left everything she had in Karakura to go to the K-World.

Ziamichi / Zanpakutou Spirit: The spirit residing in Miyabi's soul is a merged entity originating from a remainder of a powerful witch and a zanpakutou spirit. Called Ougon no Majo [Golden Witch], she is a little girl not older than 14 years old with unmatched eyes - one is blue and one is red - short, pink hair and a fragile figure. She wears beautiful dresses and usually holds onto a long, golden staff with a wing-motif at its end.
The spirit behaves cold, she is usually silent and she has an emotionless expression on her face. She is very cruel, life has no value in her eyes. Killing and blood is what she likes the most and often tortures her enemies before killing them.
The inner soul of Miyabi contains an endless cornfield and a house in the middle of it. Ougon no Majo lives in the building, which only has a single room in it, but the interior is very elegant and illustrious with classy furniture, sculptures and paintings on the wall.

Ziamichi powers: N/A (lost its own powers upon fusing with the zanpakutou)

Unique Traits: Depending on the will of the host, this Ziamichi can take control over the host's body and mind in exchange of having much greater power for a short period of time. When this happens, Miyabi loses consciousness for a whole five minutes and her life is depending on the spirit. When the time is up, she automatically regains control and the spirit is forced back to the girl's inner soul.

Forms:
When Ougon no Majo takes control, the eyes of Miyabi become lifeless and unmatched, just like her spirit's eyes and she emits a fearful, dark, intimidating aura. Miyabi also gains a new clothing (Picture), her staff turns into black, surrounded with dark mist, and black, demonic wings appear on her back.
In this form her strength is greatly enhanced to a point where she can throw a person through numerous buildings or leave a crater in the ground upon the impact. Her speed also multiples thanks to her wings.

Drawbacks: When Ougon no Majo takes control over Miyabi's body, she doesn't care too much about the well-being of her host. The takeover usually gives so much stress to the body that Miyabi immediately collapses from exhaustion when she regains control, leaving her vulnerable. In extreme cases she might also suffer from torn muscles or broken bones.
The another disadvantage of the Ziamichi-form lies in the personality of the spirit. Since she only wants to kill, everyone she sees becomes her enemy including allies. Therefore it's not safe to stay close to her when Miyabi trades place with Ougon no Majo.

Sealed Zanpakutô: In its sealed form, the zanpakutou looks like an ordinary katana. The slightly curved blade has a length of 74 cm, the guard has a hexagonal shape, while the hilt is purple-colored with a few little, golden stars as a decoration.

Shikai Description:
In its shikai state, the zanpakutou transforms into a long, golden staff with an approximate length of 120 cm. The weapon has a sharp, pointed end on one side and a wing-like motif on the other one.

Shikai Abilities:
- Konjiki no Odori [Golden Dance]: If she makes a circular movement with the staff, strong wind envelops the weapon and by slashing with the zanpakutou, she can send the tornado against her opponent. While moving, the whirlwind grows to about three meters high and one meter wide, it moves with the speed of real tornado and if it engulfs the opponent, that person will be likely struck by several lightnings too.

- Tsujikaze Shubi [Tornado Defense]: By starting to spin around, Miyabi can surround herself with high-velocity wind, which can deflect incoming attacks. With a right timing she can not only repel her enemy, but since the tornado acts like hundreds of tiny wind-blades, Miyabi can injure the careless attacker as well.

- Akuma no Yokugeki [Wingslash of the Demon]: This attack can be only used in Ziamichi-mode. If Miyabi slashes her wings with full force, she creates a devastating wind attack, which can tore down buildings, cut through concrete or even brake her opponents' body. The cutting power and pressure of the compressed wind leaves several cuts and bruises on the victim if caught by the shockwave. In the worst case scenario one can suffer broken bones or even lose a limb or two if unlucky or too weak compared to Miyabi.

- Naitomea [Nightmare]: This attack can be only used in Ziamichi-mode. By swishing her wand, the dark mist flies off from the weapon and tries to cover the enemy. If the victim inhales the mist, he/she will be caught up in a hallucination that starts with the sensation of a long falling in the complete darkness and after the painful landing, the opponent starts to experience a series of numerous, even more physically painful events, which causes a huge mental stress to this person. The impact is so big, that the victim most probably won't be able to continue the fight. In real time, the technique lasts only for a second, but one will feel that they suffered for long hours.

Limitations: Miyabi can't use both her Ziamichi-technique since they are heavily draining her reiatsu. Nightmare can be used once, the Wingslash can be used twice without recovering the lost spiritual power.
Nightmare is an attack which immediately ends the Ziamichi-mode, so Miyabi can't take advantage of her opponent becoming defenseless as she collapses after using it as well.

Bankai: Kurayami no Majo [Witch of Darkness]
The staff turns into a huge cannon sitting in the place of Miyabi's right arm. The weapon is surrounded by black mist, and Miyabi gains the wings (albeit a much bigger version) and the same clothing as in Ziamichi-mode, but that mode is not compatible with bankai.

Bankai Abilities: Kurayami no Majo can shoot an immensely powerful black plasma-beam made up from heavily compressed, high-velocity wind. Upon impact, the energy creates a destructive explosion with a reach of ~100 meters. The recoil and the shockwave is not too powerful though and the weapon can be fired multiple times before exhausting Miyabi, but not more than three occasions.

Roleplay Sample:
Miyabi was sitting at the table staring at a jar of cookies. She had a
rather strange, distant smile on her face, she was kind of looking like a
mentally challenged person right now. Her hands were shaking and she
felt the shiver running down on her spine as she reached out with her
hand for a piece. A daily dose of sweetness. Without that, she was a
useless zombie, without any hope to do something meaningful.

"So sweet! Miyacchi really likes this~desu!"

She exclaimed in ecstasy when she could finally hold the crispy cookie
in her mouth, and it was starting to crumble when she was chewing on it.
The tasty sensation led her to the ultimate happiness, in that moment
she forgot everything she was fighting for. She was blind, deaf and mute
when she was enjoying her food, there was only the cookie and her.
Well, not exactly mute as she was moaning in pleasure when she finally
and unfortunately had to swallow the cookie. There was more in the jar
though, so she just reached out for the next piece and she started the
procedure of eating all over again. But every good thing comes to an end
and the bottle became empty soon, leaving Miyabi disappointed. She let
out a sigh as she remembered the enjoyable flavor and then turned
towards the door, since something bothered her, something, which made
her uncomfortable, yet she didn't know what it was. But the mystery was
solved when she suddenly heard a loud and impatient knocking.

"Oops. Coming right now!"

She raised her voice to answer the call and she immediately stood up to
open the door. Her steps were a bit unsteady as she felt a bit dizzy
from the sudden movement, but by the time she closed the gap between her and the doorway she was alright.

"Miyamiya is sorry if Miyamiya made you wait~desu."

She said when she unlocked and opened up the door to confront her
visitor. It was a tall man with dark, long hair, wearing a hat, which
covered most of his face. His hands were resting in the pocket of his
coat and he had a slight grin underneath his facial hair.

"Who are you and what do you want from Majo-chan?"

She asked in a slightly nervous tone as she glanced at the man. She
didn't recognize him, they had never met before, she was sure of that.
The outward appearance she saw made her suspicious of the unfamiliar
person and while she was waiting for an answer, she was preparing
herself for a possible fight.
