He offered a smile to the woman when she entered throwing a glance at him, it wasnt only right. She was a pretty thing, very good at her job it seemed. He wouldn't expect anything less working in this setting, and although he wasn't entirely committed to a romantic interaction- it would be nice to have a friend to show him around. But soon he'd shift his azure irises at Helle as she spoke, before he shifted in his seat after she spoke. He opened his mouth to speak.
"You can't forget the aide the Gotei had. To my knowledge they liberated much of the continent, and the Vandenreich came in force for the last part." He'd remark with a thin smile, he seemed knowledgeable on the subject of war. He restrained himself from speaking about the days the Gotei spent maintaining their holdings. Each faction played their part, and should be given their just due. Hardened soldiers bled on all sides for such victories.
Next came her question, his jaw tightening for a moment. Such a personal question for a man who buried such feelings. He was disciplined, able to bury his humanity if needed. To know thy enemy, was to know thyself. So it brought into light, why he was able to smile as brightly as he did. To be a ray of sunshine for those who days where filled with dark clouds. And he held his answer simply.
"There are people out there that need help, that no amount of physical aide will help. When I smile, I let those people know it'll be alright."
It was that simple. To smile in times of darkness was to let others know there was nothing to fear. That even with all the sin in the world, all the darkness which was housed within all of humanity- how dearly he loved it all. Where darkness reigns, he would arrived and shine the light upon it. He wanted nothing more, than for the lowest most wayward person to know: He would be there.
With that he'd shift his gaze out the window, staring out the slowly lowering sun.

Ah yes. The Gotei. How could she forget their efforts, despite her lack of knowledge on the organization. She does know of the animosity held between the two factions in the past but has never experienced such. In fact, one of their strongest members was a member of the Gotei. Though, that information is rather irrelevant at this current time. She had asked her question and awaited for his answer. However, when it came, she felt satisfied.
Is satisfaction the correct word however? With just a second thought, she concluded that this sensation felt more akin to relief. His answer, it reminds her of how she views the world. She has so much power and potential to change so much, yet, she is just as frail and vulnerable as everyone else. She may not suffer from physical hindrance, but her mind is a pale comparison to her body. She is young. She knows she is afraid for the future, afraid for the now, worried about the past. Despite all that, she smiles, not simply for herself, but for others. A simple facial expression could determine so much when interacting with another, and when she finds someone afraid or injured, if she smiles and reassures them that all will be okay, then maybe she can instill hope within them to believe such.
“Ah, yes. Thank you for sharing such, Uriel. Now, if you have any questions you desire to have answered, feel free to ask. I have learned all that I wished and welcome you gladly, once again, to our ranks.”
Such as her thoughts related to herself, she hopes her simple smile speaks volumes she does not for how she felt about his answer.
