The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko had gotten directions and permission again to go to this city. So Cho Zi was the locate clinic owner. As he came thinking about what to say to the man. He dressed very traditionally as he didn't know how training would begin here. Takehiko wasn't sure what sort of skills he would be picking up from the Master. But finding his way around the city had become much easier these days. Coming here so often to ask Ulv for Help. He brought his hand to the door and knocked softly against its frame. His eyes were startled when an elderly gentleman answered the door. His question was what do you want, you don't look sick. Takehiko swallowed his nerves and answered. "Sir, I've come to request you take me as your student. I wish to save lives and help people. " He said his eyes burning with intensity. The elderly gentlemen looked him over. Bringing his single arm to his chin and rubbing it softly. Alright, come inside been waiting for someone to come. The man had been waiting it seemed was his response as the male carried himself with strength.
Takehiko had to reevaluate that thought as soon as he heads it. Dignity was what he saw within Cho Zi. but he was young and reading people wasn't a specialty of his. Takehiko came in as the man offered him a seat he bowed before taking it. Respecting the man who'd spent sixty years amassing skills and techniques. Diagrams and books were set upon the table as he glanced up at the master. Before reaching over and opening one. This was going to expand his knowledge on things as these texts were written by the man himself. So understanding the finer points of medicine and giving prescriptions was going to be important. He needed to learn a large number of things at once. His eyes moved left to right slowly as he was savoring each moment. Learning about the body and how it functioned when to hit correctly with needles. Healing Massages and their effect was also detailed in the book. He'd never thought of this book was the holy grail.
It was letting him learn things he never knew before this and he would enjoy it. The study was going to be part of it as he silently worked on understanding. Gaining an understanding before he was asked about a question. "It is must to grasp Master, but I will devote myself to these studies. " Takehiko was asked how he believed he would fair. The needles used were of different lengths coming from 130 to 130 millimeters depending on the situation. A numbness came from the insertion of the needle as the old master gentle put one in Takehiko's throat area. But it was a strange sensation as the feeling taught him more. So this was how they worked he thought to himself. The needles were softly put in as he felt himself begin to understand. But this was the beginning as he took off his top as instructed as a show was needed. Takehiko didn't mind learning this way as a hand's on approach would help. Takehiko's frame laid upon the bed as the master removed the needle from his throat smoothly.
His back exposed he felt little as each needle punctured his skin. It was as though knots were being taken away. Negative thoughts among other things seemed to vanish also. This technique the master explained was his form of it. He told his story slowly which Takehiko listened to each word with great interest. This hands-on method was helping him remember each point. Because his body could feel the needless entry and how they didn't bother bones or other blood cells. Takehiko felt a sense of peace he'd not had in a while. He'd so often been seeking a way to grow and move forward. The question was asked why he wanted to save people. Takehiko thought about the answer for a moment. "Master, for me it's just I don't like to see people hurting. I want to do something to help them even if it's just a little." He said offering a soft smile towards the elderly healer. Which he couldn't see but quickly realized the man was smiling.
Takehiko didn't have a special reason to help people. He just wanted to help those in need without reason. If someone needed help Takehiko would help them. Innocent sure, but it was what made him who he was. He believed that heroes need not always be on battlefields. Sometimes the strongest Hero was the doctor who handled everything. Takehiko's mental state was well beyond his years in this regard. He was studious and learning everything available to him like a sponge. His body would remember this treatment which was why Cho Zi did it. To give him a more physical demonstration of the art form. His body felt loose and so did his energy. Now, this was a way of doing things as he got each one removed negativity went with it. He got up and returned to the table before the man gestured him back. Doing his front side now where he would learn the places. Cho Zi's method was diagrams and books he explained. But also to show physically the effects and uses. Takehiko listened calmly and understanding each step's importance.

Takehiko Kuchiki
As he finished getting dressed after getting a physical show. He understood something as he walked over the diagrams beginning to process and learn. He had ideas and thought they were just that at the moment. He wrote down anything that came to the front of his mind as he studied hard. Takehiko's mentor glanced over the concept ideas and was pleased with them. Telling him to try them, that not everything was linked to kido or such. The world was bigger than just Shinigami skills. Takehiko nodded before walking over towards a practice figure. Closing his eyes he focused now sending a wave through it. Slowly finding the points that needed mending. These were several and very different as he gently handled the needles. At first, gripping them wrong but Cho Zi adjusted him quickly. Between his index and middle finger, he held them till prepared. Gently he put them in letting the figure feel comfort. But something deeper was happening here, Takehiko's technique for needle placing put a small portion of reishi at the tip. But the used it as amending based one.
This allowed him to mend far deeper than just the body. For example, the method he was using though uncultivated yet. Was touching the zanpakuto spirit and hollow spirit. He was able to use these needles to allow comfort and healing for them as well. Takehiko was showing a great deal of progress in this regard. As he looked at the diagram again sitting down. Studying the medicine used and understanding Cho Zi's great experience. His master told him he could teach him the basics. But what it came down to was going out and helping people in the world. Takehiko though wasn't sure he was ready for all of that. He'd only just come here and barely had begun progress. He asked for Cho Zi to allow him to stay for a week at least. "A book is merely a pair of shoes. It is nothing, without the will to journey far and wide" That was what Cho Zi told him as he left him the books and such. As the elderly man held no need for them. I wasn't going to let him go yet anyway. Takehiko had much to learn about the world and these techniques he was developing weren't refined.
Cho Zi's were however and now that he was done with that the elder male resumed the lessons. Any failures were met with grumpy and harshness. But while successes were met with warmth and praise. Takehiko didn't navigate human emotions all that well. Takehiko knew when he saw the man smile that a week was granted. But not for refining his art, no that was for taking knowledge in. Cho Zi was going to pound knowledge into his skull. Through methods that the elderly male had perfected. Sixty years of experience being drummed into a being within a weeks time. Takehiko felt chills on his spine as he swallowed now. Beginning o recite things while reading among other things. He was also asked for correct points of entry and use of massages. Understanding the medical principal but also the need to save lives. Cho Zi was clearly a harsh teacher without equal.
His life had only begun here in this place and it was clear that Cho Zi was going to do his best. Takehiko could only respond by using his resolve to continue. Using the intellect he prided himself on. But he felt stupid in some situations as Cho Zi didn't just teach him medicine. But the importance of understanding the old to develop the new. Takehiko had to understand that no technique is perfect. Just as a farmer plants seeds, they grow endlessly. Takehiko couldn't completely grasp it yet. But he understood that the needle technique being passed to him was growing again. So the idea of developing something was passing it on to the next generation. Cho Zi merely smiled when he saw his brain moving and thinking. Takehiko was at the very least listening and taking knowledge in. A hundred leaves from a hundred practices grow when you sow the seed of a technique. That was the lesson and he now began to grasp it more. That the technique ideas he had were a leaf developed from Cho Zi.
He wasn't anywhere near being done as he studied till he dropped quite literally. Takehiko would study until the dark hours of the night. His practice was was important to him he valued every moment of this week dearly. Having spent his time here with the elder with much on his plate. His uncle kept watching over him noticing that Takehiko didn't move. He would remain studious and picking everything that Cho Zi could teach him. The elderly man was proud of his hard work. Though on this evening Takehiko fell into sleep now. He'd fallen asleep sitting up holding needles in his hand. Practicing till he passed out which the old man called him a fool. But there was a smile as he covered the child up. The dedication was an admirable trait. Takehiko would work harder than almost any being alive. He put himself into the waters and dropped as he slept in Cho Zi's clinic's back. He would be put to the test soon as the elder would go out now. The knowledge being pounded into him would gain practical usage.
Because in the morning when his mentor went to the shop a person would come in. Someone who had been in much pain and in need of medicine. Takehiko would learn an important lesson here. Understanding his skills and beginning a pathway forward. But for now, he dreamt of stars and the Oceans. Though he was young purity was what set him apart from most. Takehiko held a truly pure heart within himself. That was clear for anyone and all people to see.

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
His eyes opened slowly from his Takehiko feeling a blanket slide off him. Getting up he noticed that his teacher had departed. He didn't know what to do in the man's home as he felt a slightly uncomfortable feeling. Being alone in this place didn't make him feel at home. If anything Takehiko felt a bit homesick missing the Kuchiki Compound. His head leaned back as he stretched himself out. Understanding he had come this far to learn. He didn't seem anxious for a chance to use his skills. These were things he wished to avoid if possible. Takehiko stood up believing his teacher would scold him fiercely if he didn't practice. Takehiko was beginning to understand what his mentor meant. As he studied them again and again, performing the movements now. He seemed to be almost getting into a groove with it as he didn't relax though. Takehiko knew most would get bored and begin daydreaming here. He saw the value of each movement. His digits moving along the body double used for practice. Some people would grow tired after doing the same thing.
Takehiko found it refreshing as he learned slower than most people. His steady peaceful studying would soon be interrupted. A patient had arrived and didn't look good. Takehiko's eyes must have become massive almost popping from his skull. He couldn't treat this person effectively as Master Cho Zi. He knew it from just looking at them as they came in. "Um, Welcome Master Cho Zi is out..If you can wait a moment he'll be back soon I'm sure." Takehiko was unsure of himself here. He didn't know how to answer this person as they seemed in pain. He wanted to help them badly but knew he couldn't. His hands trembled with nervousness. As he kept them hidden going into the First Kata to calm himself now. He could comfort them at least until his master returned here. He saw some of the issue going on here. But did he dare touch master's patient was something he didn't expect? His nerves were killing him as he almost had a panic attack.
They weren't willing to wait and he could hear them pleading with him. His teeth chewed on the inside of his lip as he went to the back. Trying to calm himself down as he didn't want to insult Cho Zi in any way. And taking care of his patient was a sure way to do it. His hands trembled as the person got on the table as Takehiko tried to calm down. Rolling up his sleeves he knew he couldn't cure them. Staring at the trembling he began doing the Kata again. He had to bring them comfort but he couldn't treat them. Takehiko went in and put his hands on their back closing his eyes. He let his hands act almost like eyes, scanning everything. This was how gentle his hands were the patient couldn't feel them. Takehiko held a gentle and tenderness to him. Innocence in some words as he saw what was wrong. But he didn't dare treat the problem. Since medical he was inexperienced as he brought his hand up. Slowly his digits trailed along the bones feeling what was wrong. Little did he know Master Cho Zi was observing him from the other room.
"I am not the Master, so I cannot help you.." He said softly lacking confidence in himself. Cho Zi came in putting his one hand on his shoulder. Deciding the boy lacked resolve at the moment when the moment came. He gave him permission to go ahead at this moment. Since Takehiko wouldn't pull that trigger otherwise. Gulping he closed his eyes picking up a needle carefully. Focusing he softly guided his hands along the patient's body now. Timidly he searched as the Master slowly whispered encouragement in his ear. Slowly gaining some confidence in himself. Takehiko had failed most of his life at everything he did. So at this point, a complex had formed and Master Cho Zi saw it. Originally this test was to show Takehiko that no matter aptitude you could fail. That was the standard of many people but this boy was a failure. He already knew that aptitude or not you failed. So much so he wasn't willing to begin in order to fail.
So this required a gentle push off that cliff as his digits softly found the first location. He paused for a moment not hesitating but being sure. He wanted to make certain this person didn't suffer from him. Slowly he inserted the needle into the skin feeling little pressure. As he was able to make a technique out of it, as his insertion and movement were similar to Cho Zi. But they cultivated differently resulting in something different. Takehiko slowly grew more confident but never overconfident. He didn't promise success despite doing a good job from his mentor's perspective. Takehiko lacked confidence in himself or anything he learned. Believing others were better suited to the job than he was. This attitude wasn't good for a healer to have. His eyes of cerulean remained closed as he united the points. Using needles until he finished his conclusion as he put the last one in. Bringing a hand over the needles he did something he couldn't explain.
His digits let out a small bit of his reishi in a healing manner. This touched the top of each needle now before flowing down. Healing the person's body and uniting the spirit within them. This medical technique wasn't a simple one to use. Takehiko had utilized something new from the needle technique of Master Cho Zi. The truth was that Takehiko had gotten something here. He'd learned a technique of medicine that was his. Master Cho Zi was pleased and it was clear the cultivator had seen what Takehiko needed most. It wasn't a lesson on failure but success and how it felt. But to not be blinded by a single success and continue to develop your skills. After finishing Master Cho Zi sent Takehiko home to study keeping the notes and lessons in him with a practice sheet he had to do continued. This would be a trip to see his master but not the last one he would do. Takehiko's growth emotionally from this had changed the boy for the better. He'd learned what it meant to be trusted with someone. A feeling he would never forget thanks to Master Cho Zi.
