Moths to the Flame [open]

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Karakura had been attacked by Demons, big demons. Repelled, fortunately, but not without substantial damage and loss of life. Mana had been here, so there were chaotic riots breaking out across the streets. Less so now Mana was gone, but there were still those that had their mind completely raped by the touch of the Demon Queen. And that was why the burning Flame was here. Her reiatsu spread across the city, and caressed the minds of most. Few wished to deny it in such a situation, and those with shattered minds had a subconscious clinging to life and accepting any help that was given.
She wasn't going to be in the war itself, but humanitarian aid to the places torn by the war after the fight had passed over. There were many flames to put out in the wake of the first wave, but Ulv was fast and powerful, so she could be where she was needed. And that was just what she did. Every being who needed to be lifted from the rubble, every being who needed to be taken to the hospital, Ulv was here to help them. With spiritual sense and emotional empathy, she would help these civilians get back on their feet.

The Wandering Genin
Yoriko had been sent on a mission to help some locals at Karakura after the aftermath of the city regarding demons, obviously she didn't want to leave innocents homeless so she immedately went. Opening a sekkimon portal into the central square and what she saw couldn't be too far from the truth the streets that once thronged with life stood empty. Gone were the food vendors and the women in their bright clothes selling hand made goods from carts and baskets. Gone were the children who played amongst the crowds with their games and laughter. Gone were the stores with their windows of fine clothing or delicacies. Now even at midday all that you would find would be the dusty street with only the wind for company. There were cracked sidewalks, empty gun shells, and broken store fronts laid waste by desperate looters. Once in a while there was the occasional harried person, moving quickly with tense purpose, no-one left their house unless it was absolutely necessary and the children were almost never seen.
Thankfully though there was a bit of life teeming from this city albiet barried what got her body chilling was the familiar spiritual pressure of the vizard Ulv, immediately the girl went towards the spiritual presence only this time it felt different almost as if she were feeling an intense wave of both happiness and confidence. She looked at her with worry and asked a simple question. "Ulv. I've heard about what's happened or at least bits and pieces. Is there anything I can do to help out?

DIVINE CRUSADER
Karakura had seen better days. Steiner would know, he had been stationed here a long time ago when he had been a member of the Boros guard, and seeing it for what it was now? It was surreal to him. He remembered his first time in this city, everything that it had been, and to see it as how it had become reaffirmed just what he had been thinking all along. That he needed to do something about all this. Maybe not as a fighter at this point, but as a man that could do some good by helping the people that were being cast aside by the conflict. So that is what he had came to Karakura to do, to help in anyway possible that he could, and at the moment his help was mostly being provided in the way of him handing out a hot meal and the occasional bandages and herbal ointment. It was meaningful in its own way and it actually felt better to him than lifting a sword and swinging it at an enemy.
So, he did what he could, and kept his head down by just keeping busy and trying not to think about just how many lives had been lost or just how many people had lost a loved one that day. Thinking on those things would only bring more frustration and anger to the young human and at the time he was trying to focus on the positive. The future of this city and the hope of a brighter tomorrow. After wrapping up the bandage on a particularly banged up fellow, Steiner then sensed the familiar warmth of Ulv, and decided it was best to let her know he was alright. Even though she could probably feel him and probably could tell that he was there due to their "link" he decided to be formal with it. More importantly he wanted to show her that he wasn't rushing off headlong into a battle and was instead doing some good for the people that had been ravaged by this war. Maybe she could help him coordinate his efforts here?
So he left the group of survivors in the care of a more well off survivor and began to make his way through the rubble and debris, all the while making sure to look about for anyone who had not been treated yet or was looking for a hot meal. He would arrive at Ulv's location with a warm smile on his face, but would see he was not the first one to reach Ulv. Instead he would find Yoriko there as well and would look at them both quizzically. Had the two of them met before somewhere?
"Hey, Ulv...hello Yoriko."
When talking to Yoriko, Steiner looked a tad bit awkward, but he decided to put aside his emotional shyness for a second when in the presence of the young genin and decided to focus on why he was here.
"Is there anyway that we can pool our efforts and do some more good? I feel like if we do this individually we won't help as many victims as we should."

As Saiya woke up from her depressive sleep, she awakened to her body being coated in flames and hoisted across the sky. The flames were of a deep crimson color, and showed no shape of other than being that of a formless comet. As Saiya awakened in her mind, she looked outwards from the formless flames, and looked down at the distraught nature of the town below where the flames were taking her. Despite this, the flames did not look like they were stopping there, but instead continued to move forward. Matching the flames she was surrounded within, she began to deduce that the formless flames may have been the cause of this destruction to begin with, and she had hoped that her entity, Tha'alyuua, was not the cause of this disarray.
"Where are you taking me...?"
"I sense my brethren... And we, will assist them." Tha'alyuua spoke back to Saiya, as she had a cold-hearted demeanor towards her. Following her events of control when Saiya was with Arianda, Tha'alyuua began to question her own strength, and needed to find to truly kill off Saiya before Saiya became too strong and bonded with her, which would trap her inside of Saiya as an energy source rather than a seperate entity.
"Brethren, But... what about---?"
"Yes---, And I do not care for whether you or anything else is caught within the crossfire of what may occur." Tha'alyuua silenced her immediately, not caring much for Saiya as she continued to fly over the town's destruction. Saiya continued to look back and started to awaken her body, to give the flame some type of shape as she tried to figure out a way to turn it around. Tha'alyuua sensed this fight for control and simply gave up her flight path. The entity forced itself to pause in mid air as Saiya's body began to form within it, turning the shapeless flame into the shape of a woman. The woman of flames' hair tailed behind it, turning the crimson flames into an eerie mixture of reds, pinks, and soft lavenders, and it's body was then outlined in some type of obsidian rocks that acted as a breastplate, one shard to cover each spot where a rib would be, and two crescent shaped cups that would form for where her breasts would be. The obsidian also formed itself into two large horns that extended to about 2 feet in height, and her ears began to point towards their ends, making her look like a fire imp in design. As Saiya continued to take hold of the form, Tha'alyuua continued to speak internally to her. "They will not be happy that you control me, vessel. In fact, they will kill you on sight, for bringing the thing that caused this pain to their homes. They will not want you around. But,if that is what you want... then by all means, be my guest. Quite frankly I enjoy your mentality when it is destroyed by the realities of this world..."
Hearing her internal entity speak caused her to act more sullen with how she wanted to approach the situation. At the end of the day, Tha'alyuua was right. Saiya was truly a demon, as much as she wanted to suppress this history as if it didn't occur, and bringing demonic energy into play when demonic energy is what caused this in the first place would be suicide. Despite this though, she did feel the desire to help, hoping that they would feel this as a way of sympathy and not as a way to harm. In her current state she felt like she would bring distress to the situation, thus she began to fly away into an alleyway and remove herself from her flaming form, revealing a tan skinned woman with long, billowing purple hair that didn't agree with the wind's attempts to blow around. Her clothing was very ornate, being of a mid-rift top and slightly sheer pants of crimson cloth, with everything being connected and held together with gold bindings. She jogged out of the alleyway, but as soon as she noticed the child genin, the young adventurer, and the lady known by the name "Ulv", who's energy alone gave her quite the shakes, she froze and shyly introduced herself.
"Umm-- Hiya~, I am Saiya and... I saw the dismay of this town and umm...with them being here... and requesting aid--- Maybe I can help?" She spoke inwardly, as she sheepishly began to fold her arms over herself and look downwards and away. She then thought inwardly as well, which caused her to ignore her own introduction, feeling as though she would not get a positive response with herself alone. Thus she turned to her right, and turned her hair into a soft lavender flame, causing the flames that slowly encased the storefront she appeared next to, to pool into the flames of her hair, removing it's affect from the area, and storing it as her own.

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Yoriko, the Earth-Mover, Steiner, the passionate Hero, and a new woman, this Saiya. A young demon with two hearts - not literally but metaphorically - much like Henrex. Three people, with Steiner as the head, would be perfect for this city. They would all become known to Shadin and his kin by their volunteering, by the flames in their heart. Ahh, the blossom of youth. How could Ulv stand in it's way?
"Yoriko, you are an Earth-Mover, if you can't think what to do then...well that's kind of a shame. Steiner, your Resolve Flame is perfect for soothing the hearts of the survivors, use that to gather everyone and account for who is alive and who is dead. Reunite families, link up with emergency workers, and get the city involved. Saiya....I have no idea who you are. But if you can keep your head on straight and convince people that you are not here to hurt them - which might be hard considering a pair of Demons just ripped this place apart - then you can help Yoriko with the rubble. If not, then you might want to find a kitchen or something out of public view, and get working of food and drink for the people. Hungry and thirsty people make for poor company"
Ulv's passion, and clear dominance of the situation was tangible. With her at the front, they could face a whole world in flames and not take a single step back.
"Here is the crucible. If you can't make it here, then you are no use to anyone in this war"

The Wandering Genin
Obviously since she was an earth manipulator this was the perfect opportunity to use her powers for good use, after all this rubble may or may not contain people who are awaiting for someone to rescue them before feeling a very familiar energy presence approaching the two women. She turned her head and noticed right away who it was, Steiner Franz the man he met a while back giving the man a wave of her hand as well as a quick smile. Steiner..its nice to see you again. She said before looking at the stranger who approached the three of them, Saiya was her name and she wasn't going to question where she came from they needed all the help they could get.
Regardless it was time for her to contribute to the cause, turning her head towards Ulv before nodding her head. "I know exactly what to do." Yoriko would then flash step a short distance looking at the rubble towards her left as it had rocks of varying sizes and materials, scanning what the area she would get to work as she positioned herself to where both of her feet pointed forward, her thighs parallel to the floor, with the buttocks pushed out, and her back "arched up" to keep her upper body from leaning forward.
"Hah!" She would utter as the rocks began to levitate from off the ground for a brief moment before placing the cluster of rocks into a completely separate pile for later use. Essentially Yoriko is cleaning up the mounds of rubble giving some space for the once destroyed buildings to be completely recovered of either possessions and other stuff hopefully. This would take her awhile hell this may take even hours to get all this finished, but she didn't care as long as she was helping people get back on their feet it's the least the girl could do.

DIVINE CRUSADER
He waved at Yoriko as the new comer arrived, a demon by what his senses were telling him, and while his body tensed up, and his eyes questioned Saiya's sudden appearance, Steiner smiled warmly at her. He walked over to her and extended his hand to her in a sign of good will, which was completely genuine, the original questioning replaced with a "welcoming" warmth. It could be his resolve flame or it could just be the natural charisma of the young man, but he hoped she wouldn't feel so tense, and he hoped by waylaying some of her concerns by welcoming her openly instead of dismissively.
"I'm Steiner. I'm glad you came to help out, you helping out may actually help show that not all Demons are looking to cause destruction wherever they go. Just be careful, alright? If you run into any trouble don't be afraid to call out to Yoriko or I, we will do our best to help you if you need it."
If she would accept his hand, Steiner would smile wider, and pull her a bit closer to whisper in her ear.
"Just be yourself...be calm and collected, remember these people have been through something horrible so don't blame them if they are looking for people to blame. Be kind, be courteous, but most importantly be these people's light in this dark time."
Steiner would then release her hand and turn to Ulv, who was beginning to lay out the work for the group, and put Steiner into some kind of supporting role. Gathering people together, working with other people who were looking to help, and generally being there in case anyone would need him. He was tasked with using the shiny new toy that Ulv gave him and Steiner would not disappoint her, but first he wanted to talk to Yoriko, but before he could she was already off doing her decided task. He looked at her, but then shook his head as he turned back around giving Saiya a thumbs up as a white light surrounded him, and he dashed off toward the camp that he had formed earlier. Once there he would commence to use his Resolve Flame immediately, instilling the people at his camp with Bravery, and hope. The sick would stand and the weary would be filled with a second wind, they would stand around Steiner, and look at him, the bringer of their new found emotional stability and health.
"Help me find your families...your injured...help me do what is right for your city. Help me rebuild your homes, restore your families, and instill a sense of right in this hellscape filled with wrong. I will do whatever it takes to restore some sense of normalcy to your lives, but for right now...we must do our part to help those who need our help."
The rabble around him nodded their head, deciding to follow through with what he asked, and began to disperse throughout the surrounding area. Steiner would act as the lynch pin for this group, helping them where they would need him, but most importantly he would also be willing to help others who were his allies. Saiya and Yoriko were within his senses and if anything happened he would quickly go to help them.

Re: Moths to the Flame [open]

As she took in more of the flames to her hair, her hair began to slowly shift in hue from being a soft lavender to an intense royal purple, which then caused her eyes to glow softly, making this the queue to slow down the consumption of the flames and allow herself to recharge from drawing so much in. As she was beginning to settle, she heard the voice of the previous male that was collected next to the Genin, and "Ulv". The male approaching her and introducing himself did cause some of her tension to fade, though she was still very hesistant towards interacting. As she listened to his introduction, he spoke in reference to her demonic nature, and the way he spoke about it made it feel like it wasn't as large of a deal to him as what she made it seem like. As he spoke "...Just be careful, alright?" She released her arms from being folded and extend her hand forward to meet with his with a soft corner smile. Although she was open to the gesture, the motion to do so was very slow as she was still very shy towards this.
As their hands connected, she was tugged forward which startled her thinking it was a ploy for an attack, and thusly closing her eyes and closing off her body once more. But instead of hostility she was greeted with a whisper, in which gave her more seeds of advice to latch onto. The soft tones of his voice caused her to relax a lot more and as she heard his advice she nodded softly, but then quickly broke free of his hand, as a precaution for herself moreso than the interaction. As she stood to Steiner, she spoke softly, "Thank you, thank you for your kind words~... ummm be their light... in darkness. Okay~" She smiled lightly, as her hair finally began to normalize into strands of hair rather than torrents of flames.
As the interaction between them concluded, she then contemplated the options. She began to walk slowly, thinking of the interactions she could have within the area, and as she walked she casually gazed back and forth looking at those whom were distraught by the devastation the demons had caused for them. But more importantly, the way they looked back to her. They looked as though she were unwelcomed, and truth be told. She was. They knew of her demonic descent and wondered if she was there to create even more havoc, or report conditions for a round two. There were only two reactions she had seen, either she was a demon and needed to leave, or that she was a demon and was too week to be a threat, but was a signal to call the true worry back down here. The reactions did not matter individual, because the bottom of it all that hurt her emotionally was simple; you are weak and not welcome here.
Her slow strides came to a halt almost as she looked to the heroism the Genin displayed, how she had started to pick up the rubble instantaneously with her earth based abilities. Steiner rallying the spirits of those who were low behind her, and she...she stood. "...If you can't think of what to do.. well that's a shame..." echo-ed repeatedly in her head, followed by the phrase Tha'alyuua left her on "...they will kill you on sight, for bringing the thing that caused this pain to their homes." Then more negativity began to spiral in with that...but as Steiner completed one among many rally chants, his enthusiasm began to pierce through it all as now the phase was "...not all demons cause destruction." and moment's later "...be these people's light in a dark time."
She then remembered "Ulv's" suggestion of finding a kitchen of some sort to hide from the public, so that she could prepare food, and went to follow that order. But rather than finding a kitchen, she began to make herself useful in it's own right. Her hair began to extend outwards, picking up large chunks of rubble that barricaded the storefront she had taken the flames from previously and began to
carefully set them down in front of her. As the stones began to settle, she then turned her arms into the purple flames prior and began to heat the top surface of the rock, making it a viable and even cooking surface. As the hair released itself from the stone it then whipped itself into the store itself, finding the good salvages of meat and vegatables that were not destroyed by the crumbling rubble and started to place them onto the cooking stones. She continued preparing dishes in this way for as long as their were good rations of food to take care of. With her hair finishing its collection of goods, it began to form small hand shapes and extended outwards, each hand holding different entrees of hot food she had prepared as she continued to cook with her actual hands. The array for her hair extending outwards looked as though she were a tree spreading it's roots into the lad around her as there were rows upon rows of steaming plates available to be taken. And as the plates were taken, the "branch" moved away from it's location to grab another prepared plate and replace itself.
During this time she had kept her head down to allow herself time to relax as she wasn't too certain of the looks others gave her, and simply focused on what she could do. But as she felt more and more people taking plates, she slowly turned her head upwards so that she could speak as the crowds slowly formed around her to grab food. "Umm... I'm sorry for what they did...I'm--I'm not bad...I hope you all accept these meals as a way for me to apologize for their actions... Not all of us are bad...I--I'm really sorry...I truly, hope you enjoy yourselves~" she spoke, stuttering as she did so out of fear, and once she spoke her piece, her head jetted downward again as she continued to prepare food for the rally of those whom were around her.

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Everyone was ready, everyone was working, it made Ulv smile. This was really their time, and if it wasn't they would crash and burn and lose all faith in themselves, and go train like a hermit. They didn't need her here, and other places did, so she made sure everyone was busy, and then slipped away. Steiner would probably be the first to notice, as there was pride and hope coming through their link before it got further away, but she slipped out quietly, so the others would probably be slow to pick up on her lack of presence.

The Wandering Genin
Yoriko continued to move large amount of rubble and place them in piles once more finding various items such as books, pieces of important documents, and occasionally a pair of shoes which she would give back to their original owners. Many thanked the girl for her findings and some gave a hug for the help she's doing. The girl couldn't help but smile back, it was glad to see people have some hope stored inside them.
"Guess I could try to make temporary homes for these people..its better than living in a tent in the cold." Yoriko would then shift her feet and position initiating the scisscor stance and as she stomped on the ground and raise her right arm a parallel line the size of an average home would be constructed and positioning her feet once more she made a roof as it would provide a bit of shade for those who may need it, it was a pretty daunting task considering how much she'd have to do for each patch of rubble she comes across but it was worth it.
She would also make an earth shelter for individuals who prefer to live underground and considering that the earth is a massive thermal mass it's easier to maintain steady air temperature and ultimately reduces energy cost for both heating and cooling which is a huge advantage in the long run. The girl continued to do this for every house and give them a few minor improvements such as creating a table complete with chairs and a couch to sit on though it made out of rock its better than sleeping on the floor.
