Tatsuya's hand gently looked at the note before his gaze fell across the Jefferson CityMissouri area. Soon he would be given the signal and would activate the Volcanos and attack this place. The Gotei was to bring down justice's hammer on the demons here. Though he did feel the conflict within his Soul he calmly stared at the area. Gently touching his scar across his nose before sighing. His amber eyes took in the location around him. This city would very soon be a battleground as he glanced at the orders again. Someone would come to face him in combat, that was a certainty. He didn't know who it would be or when they'd come. But his job was to inflict a shockwave of damage through this place. He could activate the Volcanos in the area and thus unleash devastation on this country. His high command found out and ordered him to go down. He wanted to ask Murasaki about it truthfully. There was no glory in butchering people in this way. But the war wasn't pretty nor was it ever truthfully. They would need to stop it from happening if they were to do anything. He gently sighed before standing up. Tatsuya slowly drew his sword and glanced around the area. Feeling out the volcanos in the distance from him. So many in this place to touch and activate. Some were already active and just needed a push. Sometimes it felt like he was touching the doomsday button. He couldn't really decline the order and it felt painful. To do this to those unprepared for a true confrontation. But orders were orders and as a good soldier, he knew it. They were something he couldn't forget truthfully. Slowly he tapped his sword on the side of the volcano he sat on. Lava began spewing from the top at an alarming rate. It began pouring down clipping his leg's he glanced upwards. This downhill path of the once extinct Volcano would slam into Jefferson City. But that wasn't all he did as he activated the Super Heat Gases the Volcano had as well. He could create a chain reaction from here as he watched the magma pour down the mountain.
It would crash upon the city without mercy or remorse. But that wasn't all as the city would experience rumbling now slowly. Earthquakes were beginning as the tremors would reach out to other volcanos. Tatsuya through Amateratsu's power was reaching out for those places. Sending his pulse to make each Volcano erupt with massive force. He was sending out his destruction and Oregon would feel the pulse. His orders were to cause as much as possible. This was the beginning of a war that would be fought. Softly he sighed as he brought his zanpakuto free from the mountain now. Having done his job to chain react most of the volcanos and begin their descent into this place. Tatsuya had started something here could that have far-reaching consequences. He wondered what Shadow's Fall had done to deserve such an ill-fated treat. But none the less if someone didn't come to rescue them. It would be a town soon burned to a crisp as this wouldn't stop on its own now. That line between good and evil seemed so blurry at this moment.
Would his student get involved in this melee or would he remain out of it? These were things he wished he knew the answer too. It wouldn't be long before the gases and magma slammed into the city of Jefferson City. Shadow Fall's demons did try to counteract it. But were hit by the superheated gas that moved quicker than normal speeds. He sat in the magma merely waiting for his challenger to come. Tatsuya decided to make his battle ahead of time. He would pick the location and give them no choice but to come. Active Volcanos were a rather effective place to fight for him. War on this place likely made Jefferson City look as though the war of the worlds was happening. As the Volcano shot molten projectiles into the air and sent smog out. Tatsuya held immunities to things from this and could navigate the elements rather effectively. He didn't act like he was powerful or event much of a strong man. It was his zanpakuto's powers that made him fit for firing a shot.
He read the last paragraph about hiding his spiritual pressure and he'd done that. Sighing he burnt the orders to a crisp within the lava. Tatsuya stood as it flowed down his body remaining there as he lifted himself out of the magma now. His body simply didn't feel this heat as it wasn't hot enough. But perhaps that was for the best and another trait in his favor. Tatsuya Oda would likely gain a name here not for his combat prowess. But what he had started in the works. As those chunks and other things would head towards Jefferson City. The capital city of this state he was told. Calypso he hoped would understand that he did this for their future. So they could build a land of smiles. But for now, he had to suck in his guilt and desire to do this honorably. He wanted to scream run while you can and get them out. He hoped the civilians at least got out of it. But in some cases, they wouldn't and he knew it. Tatsuya would make no statements or talk to those who came. They would struggle under this heat he stood at.

..Yeah, that seems about right. The white-eyed skeleton thought to himself, the smile continually on his face as he appeared through the portal. ...Man, are you serious? I'm way too lazy too deal with this... To say the least, Sonny was unenthused by the circumstance that faced him. But really... what could he be planning..? Sonreir Revolver wondered to himself, tapping against the lower part of his skull. ...Get as far away from Karakura City as skeletonly possible... Could he be doing something I should care about...? Sonny wondered to himself, his arms still tucked in his jacket as he stepped out of the portal, directly onto the ground where the wall of lava was moving towards. Well, I certainly can't do anything about that. He thought to himself, reaching a hand back and gripping onto the shoulder of the person who had come through the portal with him. Damn. They're so heavy. With his other hand, Sonny flicked his thumb, sending what looked like several small white chips forward... And between the buildings of the major intersection he was on, colossal bones appeared, spreading and expanding outwards, smashing into the buildings. It's not much, but... Sonny's eyes darkened a bit, hearing the screams around him. 'Keep in Shadowfall's good graces for as long as possible...' That means I might actually have to try. The thought did not particularly appeal to him, considering how often he tried to find ways out of work. ...But... if it's for that kid... And the reason he said it was the kid, not this old bag of bones... Sonny sighed at last. "Be back in a sight." He told the person behind him, before like that.. he was just gone. The heat pressed against his bones, causing for him to sweat. That's... really hot, huh? Thumbs flicked, sending out another wave of white chips... which once again erupted, crushing into either side of the buildings of the street Sonny had appeared on, his face changing position once again as he threw out his senses, flashing and disappearing and reappearing. He was strategically appearing and disappearing just inside the inner 'walls' of the city, where the outskirts had been attacked. The flows of lava were moving towards the fleeing soldiers and civilians, and it was not long before they would be overtaken. Within a matter of minutes, the colossal bones had appeared all over the city, clogging up roadways, forming physical barriers against the incoming heat. They did not have much, but they had layering; to observe them from afar, the craftsmanship would ensure that the heat only reached through one layer at a time, and the layering for each would be sufficient to prevent the lava from advancing forwards through those streets at quite the same speed. The buildings would not fare so well, but the lava would have to work through the structures and melt them down to keep proceeding forward. Now... gotta deal with that. From the direction where the lava arrived, Sonny's body began flashing in rapid succession. It was possible someone might be able to make him out, but almost the same isntant the blue-jacket wearing skeleton appeared, he was gone. His pesquia was constantly active, feeling, searching... And at last, he found it. Well... just my day... why do I gotta bad feeling about this. With another Sonido, Sonny reappeared. For Tatsuya, he might actually have been able to see it. A creature moving at incredible speeds, invisible to most all from how fast he moved. It was most likely he would see at least a blur, if not the man himself. Perhaps he had felt his Pesquia watching over him, felt its focus increase, how potent it was. "...Sorry, I'm pretty good at hide and seek." The skeletal man stated as he touched down, his hands going into his jacket pockets. Perhaps Tatsuya would be surprised if he had the ability to sense energy. It seemed like some random, foot soldier Arrancar had found him. He had scarcely any spiritual presence to speak of. And yet, the way he moved, and the fact that he was able to make out Tatsuya's hiding spot, even if it took him some time... "I don't really feel like fighting destructively and all flashy... not with these old bones." He explained, that perpetual smile on his face as he tilted his head at the ground, before looking back up at Tatsuya. "And I really hate making promises. But now I've gone and made two." He continued, still extremely relaxed in front of Tatsuya. Perhaps that was the most disconcerting part; how calm he was in the face of the man who controlled the mountain. "One of them's that I've gotta stay in those demon's good graces. This city's clearly in rubble; and I'm not about to fight someone who uses volcanos like that here. I'm practically sweating." He said as his gaze shifted to the side... as skeletons typically did not sweat, he hoped the man would find that humerous. "So, uh... why don't ya look good to your bosses and I look good to mine, and we head into the city where that lava's lives faster than my jokes are aging." He concluded, taking his hands out of pockets as he shrugged. "I at least gotta keep one eye on that crybaby dreamer. She's doin' me a favor while I'm under this much heat... and she's back in the city. So why don't ya meet me back there and we'll 'work this out', if ya get my drift." With that... that peculiar sensation happened once again. Like space itself shifting, a peculiar blur witnessed by those with sharp observational abilities... Sonny Ray's body disappeared. "..." He reappeared where he had entered the city via the portal. A great deal of people were running around the bones, soldiers trying to guide civilians. The soldiers had taken the appearance of bones as major sign of retreat. Typically, there was only one Infanta known for using such things... and he had a bit of a terrible track record. Since becoming the Liasion of Hebi Laboratories, he had not had a decisive victory in any conflict he had joined. Once it had been determined the defenses were strongest where he had dropped down, and how the lava was directing away from it based on the other bone structures, they had set up a medic camp here. The white tuft of hair greeted Sonny's eye as he entered from thin air. Once he got his bearings, he glancing up at the child's caretaker. "Well.. situation's handled, mostly. Whaddya say we head out to my favorite restaurant when we get done here? They've got an arcade the kid's crazy about." The distant sounds of screams were heard in the distant as Sonny talked calmly, very calmly. Rasuca, for his part, was dead asleep in the backpack that Sonny had placed the Heir of Hebi into. With the meds he had given him, he should be asleep for a good long time, even through all this devastation and chaos. Kid would probably deal with this lava better than most of the senior soldiers here, anyway... Sonny's outlook was dark overall, but considering how that man did not want to fight in the city originally... We might just get outta this without him wakin' up I really hate making promises.... So it was that Sonny would stand there, just outside of the medic camp, where soldiers, his charge, and his charge's babysitter were all hanging out. "Only trouble'll be if some other hot shot shows up... but I'll deal with that if I have to." |
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

There was no way Calypso was totally mentally prepared for the situation that would hit her upon exiting that portal. There was the fleeting happiness of seeing her alleged "cousin" again, then the skeleton man asking her to babysit while.. Absolute chaos was raining around them. Calypso had stepped out of the portal, gingerly grasping the pack with many dark, extra limbs like some strange flesh cradle that the young child was fast asleep in, the young one frowning softly that he needed to basically be drugged for this whole thing. It made sense, but she did want to spend a little more time with him...
Til she was met with the sight of the sky burning. The air was becoming heavy, as she swore she saw the surge of lava around them. Her heart skipped a beat as her eyes were wide, a stone layered in ice dropping into her stomach that felt like it struck with the force of an anvil.
Please... Please don't tell me that's caused by who i'm thinking...
She shook her head, quickly forcing herself to snap out of her, just to see Sonny's bony self instantly vanish. Her already weak heart was beating like a drum, as she then looked around, her eyes sweeping the area to assess her situation. Okay, lava pouring in, the arrancar clogged the affected streets with big bones, people are screaming and trying to get away from the actual burning liquid of death, she has a young kid in her arms that she needs to keep safe, and there's a whole bunch of demons around who needed some form of guidance, along with thankfully some behind her setting up a camp to help those who need any sort of medical attention. Calypso's head tipped down as she tried to assess her actions, sensing the everflickering swirl of terror-filled emotions.
Not the time to panic, absolutely not...
Her gaze deviated towards the being who had once again appeared, feeling some flutter of relief that for now, the situation was handled. She looked at the camp which surely had some who were hurt or scared out of their minds. Though Sonny gave an offer to go to some restaurant, she couldn't feel a flutter of excitement or intrigue she usually would. It was suppressed by her sense of duty and urgency,
"If we get outta this okay, definitely. But for now, I have to help that camp. I'll keep this guy safe, don't worry about me for now, but, hopefully nobody nuts shows up. Getting baked by lava or a poisonous fume inhalation treatment is already pretty tense..."
More limbs emerged from her body as she then hoisted herself off the ground, hastily making her way into the camp, looking back briefly at the Arrancar, "Good luck, don't die!"
There was a panic within the camp as new people entered, others ran around, some hurt, some panicked, as Calypso then took a big swallow. There was no way she could be heard if she simply yelled. There was too much unrest, too much disorganization, it made her head hurt more than the stress of the lava encroaching it's blocks and pouring further in.
Very few eyes opened up on her body, their irises forming mouths as they took in air, the girl stretching herself as tall as she could above the crowd, some already looking to see what the hell she was doing, massive amount of insects pouring from her body as their gentle gold embrace washed over the camp to begin calming everyone down.
...Just need a bit more volume, don't need it to hurt... Hold it back...
"LISTEN!"
She shrieked, however instead of causing the destructive sound waves, it simply worked as a self-created loud speaker, the screams within the camp quickly being reduced by a large margin, mostly murmuring occurring.
"I'm..." Her fists tightened head tilted down as she felt her heart quiver like nuts from her nervousness. This was her first time addressing a crowd, a panicked crowd nonetheless, but... "I'm Calypso Asthavon! I... I know things are really bad right now, and a lot of you are scared for your lives, or injured, or trying to comfort your loved ones, but panicking and going into hysteria isn't going to make anything better! What we need to do right now is get organized, and be reasonable!"
She panted, doubting her little speech was inspirational, but she wasn't here to sow inspiration, she was here to help, and she needed to talk fast, "We need to get everyone who can't fight out of here now! I can make a portal to Demon World for those of you who can't defend yourselves to seek refuge until this calamity is over, those of us who can do that please, please help me! For the rest of you, I need your help either staying here and making sure the injured are tended to and the camp is safe, o-or going out and finding any stragglers to bring back. Please, everyone. I need your cooperation if we're all going to get through this OK."
She dropped down from her high position and immediately made a portal, praying others could follow in the act, "Get through, hurry!"
Citizens were already pouring through, and she swore she saw others doing the same, but she looked up at the sky, eyes becoming round as the smoke was slowly wafting down towards them. That was bad, that was really bad. She doubted many here could survive smoke inhalation...
"Keep getting people out of here, I need to do something about the smoke!" She yelled, staring up and raising her hands up, closing her eyes.
Okay... Okay... What could I wish... What could I... That's it!
"I wish for everyone here to be safe from outside hazards!"
She silently prayed her ability would work, and happily enough, her arms were lit with purple flame-like energy, as it shot a few feet above the camp, gingerly pouring over the entire encampment, creating a translucent purple bubble made of the flickering energy around them, and surely it kept out the smoke. She just wasn't sure it could keep if lava came this way, she didn't think she could make a force that strong.
"Okay.. Okay.. Things are looking better guys, good job!"
She immediately moved to help any injured, constantly keeping tabs on what the hell was happening outside of them, praying some crazy wouldn't drop in and try to kill anyone here. Golden insects fluttered about, further aiding and preventing another bout of hysteria in order to keep everyone present focused.

Oda Tatsuya
おだ たつや
おだ たつや
His eyes and senses didn't betray him as he pushed off his volcano bath. The lava dripped down his body and yet didn't leave a single injury on him. His eyes of amber looked at the figure who came. Man, this guy had seen a rough time he could tell. He held up a hand as he sensed a familiar presence and smiled. This was good and would be helpful in the long run. They'd have to act soon if they wanted to get things taken care of. Tatsuya touched his hand to the Volcano soon the lava began to pull back to it. He was drawing away the fumes and everything else from the city. Giving the people time even putting a cork in molten rocks. Tatsuya did this while Sonny explained everything. "I'm good with that, but gonna need your help with something. This war's going a bit too far for my liking...These people forget what they are supposed to stand for." Tatsuya said sighing softly certain nothing could see him here. This was the situation and it would continue this way for now. The people who called themselves heroes and those who considered themselves this. They became more like those they considered evil at the moment.
Part of the city was burnt and he could use the excuse he didn't want to fight using that alone. Tatsuya didn't know much about Sonny but he liked the guy. Also good jokes were hard to pass up even in grim circumstances like this. Tatsuya did follow him but made his way to Calypso as well. "I need you to play along for a second, make this look good and I'll explain as we go." Tatsuya said softly to Sonny as he arrived where he was. Shooting forward he punched but its force wasn't as strong as it appeared. "I need to talk to Calypso and you privately. This isn't going to get better and things are gonna get much worse soon, our goal may be in some need of speeding up." He said following Sonny who hopefully followed his advice. This punch was designed to direct Sonny towards where the girl was located. His plan for right now was faking it to let people believe he and the being were in combat.
After arriving at Calypso he sighed softly. " Here's the situation as far I can tell, those people in power aren't thinking clearly these days. So they are going to start this war and try to one-up Mana in terms of violence. I don't think that's possible and it makes a Land of Smiles difficult. Calypso I've got an idea for this but I need both of you to hear me out." Tatsuya said rubbing the back of his neck and letting the sword gently rest on his armor covered shoulder. The fact was he could only help and speculate what Ibiki was thinking. But he sensed it these people were bloodthirsty and no different from the others. They were provoking Mana into full-on combat. This wasn't the answer he had as he looked at both of them before bringing his hand up. Having the number three on his hand carefully."Calypso, getting them out is the right course fo action so please do that. Firstly we need a reputation to grow in order to create our dream country. You and I are unknowns, this war is bad but could serve us well. I am not suggesting we kill people. But if you act as a warning symbol and protect people ahead of time. That will make you look good to the people like a Savior Goddess rescuing them. As for me, I am told of several locations to end up like this one. Locations were I am to do to that Volcano but not turning it off." He said lowering his finger hoping she followed him thus far. This was a long plan and was going to require all three of them on the same page. Tatsuya didn't know what was going on with them. But at this point, they needed to be questioned heavily. Who was giving these orders out to cause this kind of damage? It couldn't be Murasaki in control of it, could it? Would she order such an action though he got it as a seated officer only? He wasn't that far in command of things so this level of action was troubling. He looked to see if they still followed along as he glanced at Sonny.
"I am good with fighting you without releasing my powers, my own strength needs to raise before I can make this land. I am not that strong truthfully compared to other figures. If we rely on someone else for this, for example, Mana or Shadow Fall. They will only use our land for war or corruption purposes. They will view it as a military point instead of a place of happiness. So in that essence, we both must get stronger. I thought the Gotei could aide me in that task, but I wasn't expecting the war. So in that end, I will fight in the next locations. Florida, then a few others in the East Coast. Now, this is going to be crucial you need to evacuate as many people as possible Calypso. I can't protect them physically from those around me. The others aren't seeing clear but only red. They've fallen into a frenzy and I'm sure I am not alone in detecting it. " This was a lot of talking but things had to be explained quickly. He figured Sonny would make it believable for him in this regard. Or he hoped at least that was possible.
Lowering and keeping one finger up as he exhaled softly. "At the end of this or my tasks we regroup and make a plan. Sonny, I need a favor, hit me over towards that building. Don't worry I am pretty durable so I can handle a blow to my self." He said giving them his plan as he smiled a bit. Nodding to Calypso letting her know he did remember. It was just the situation became very hard to manage. But if their plan was to work he would need to grow. Much more potent from here. He would need to develop as a warrior. Tatsuya's dream and Calypso's required them to step up. This could no longer work in the regards of trusting the status to go. Now it was up to them if they agreed with what he said or not. Tatsuya wasn't keen on targeting these people. And surely both had noticed the Lava moved slow and the smoke. He'd kept both away from the population. Despite being able to speed them up for greater effect.
Now the ball was in their court to see what they decided to do. The direction chosen was away from people.

Artist: Hammerfall - Song: Heart's On Fire
SMASH. A red-clad being smashed into the lava-coated ground, the impact cracking the ground and billowing out gales of displayed air. The landing was not subtle, and the raging power that was coming off the being was filling the entire city. The survivors of the attack from Tatsuya would feel the panic and terror of such a catastrophe dulled, and instead the desire to survive, and allow others to survive would be bouyed to the forefront. Evacuation would be smoother, but would still need work to pull off. The massive power armour receded from the woman, revealing Ulv Auber, the mayor of Minatumi Harbor.
She was not one to be in the war, but kept her eye on it none the less so she knew what was going on. And Tatsuya nuking a city filled with innocent civilians, was one thing that caught her mind. But there was another here, one that was much better, and so she shot over to her, and nodded.
"Cali! Keep your head on and your heart strong! I'll be ferrying people to you, but I need you to get them out of here! Whatever Magic your Za Koa gives you, now is the time to use it. Keep these people safe" Ulv told her, hoping that her encouragement from someone she cared about would embolden Calypso to press on regardless. Finally, she held out her arm and spoke.
"Obliterate The Ideal Of Fear, Beowulf" a pair of shining slippers covered her feet, and allowed her to take off like a rocket, the increase in speed spectacular, since it was all that this form gave her.
And then, Ulv was into the city, using her Empathic Heart and enhanced senses to find people that were trapped behind places they couldn't get out of. To rescue people from the lava, using her Palms Of The Wind to blast the lava out of the way. Fucking, Tundra Brat would be so helpful here, she was tempted to call him for some support. She had no ice powers, no cold powers, nothing but the Wind to blow, and The Wind was hot right now, unless she pulled down the Stratosphere Regal Wind, but that took a lot of force and time as well.

Calypso was actively directing the crowd in the camp, ensuring the people pouring in were able to leave via portal, and anyone who had gotten hurt would get treated as soon as possible. She hoped those who had gone to help her find any other survivors had warned the parts of the city that weren't affected yet. She didn't exactly have any access to a television so she had no idea how the passage of news was going. But then she noticed something odd happening, it looked like the smog that floated high above was... Retreating. The young demon wanted to scream inside, uttering a small 'no no no no no' through her lips as she peeked over the heads of many leaving, clutching the bag containing the sleeping child as she saw a figure blurring towards the camp, another standing not too far away.
She acted quickly, using her additional limbs to stretch over the crowd, adjusting the arms cradling the kid to her back, spread her arms out in front of her along with her scarf tendrils, grasping whatever was about to fly into the camp of people she barely managed to calm down.
"..Mr Sonny!? Are you okay?" She helped the arrancar right himself if he needed it, but her body seemed to momentarily grow rigid and dark, quickly returning to normal yet tense, as she heard who she prayed and begged to whatever higher being could hear her wouldn't be here.
It was Tatsuya. Tatsuya caused the eruption. The obsidian necklace, lightly studded with elements of the volcanic crystal he had gifted her for extra details upon the rabbit, felt ten pounds heavier around her throat. It made the rough swallow she tried to get down all the harder to perform. Even as he spoke, she was just praying, praying like mad in her mind, be it to Khala or something she didn't comprehend, that this was just an insane dream, like the ones where she couldn't stop eating and ate everyone, or that she went crazy and slaughtered all she loved. She wished so much that this was just a dream.
But it wasn't.
There were no words to describe how the girl felt right now. All she could do was remember all the scared people behind her, the injured, the words she spoke to him, about using his power to create rather than destroy, and then slowly glance at the sky and specks of flame floating about. The heat upon her body, made the urge to vomit all the greater.
She didn't think, she just screamed, "H̩̣̖ͅO̴͓͕̜̻W̖̭̲͖͠ ̜̻̙͉̦̳̠͠A̧R͜E̤͇̼̥͕ ̡̫͇Y͚̩̯͜O̼̤̤̜U͉͙ ̫̱͝A͏̲̱̣̟̘͎N͈̭Y̵͉ ̹̣̹̹̭͉͕B̞̜͚͍̰̩E҉Ţ̗T̛̘̝̱̥͕E͓̖̮̫̘͘R̥̰̭̮̟͖͟ ̶͔̖̝͕̳͚͓T̖̮̜̺̀H̖̤̥̖͚̭̀A̡͈N̝̹͔ T͚͇̞͎̳H̙̰̥̩ͅE͔͔M̨͕̹̹ ̤̯̠̱̭̗͟R̵̳͍͕̱I͉̟̺͢G̦̤H̘͈T̴̩ ̷̮̫̜͔̹N̕O̲̜͍̫͈ͅͅW͓̰̰̜͠?̷̣̺̪͉!͏̥"
Her voice sounded eerily distorted, it was as if she forgot to put a cap on her nightmareish aspects in this moment, her entire body had turned black and looked as if it's very presence made reality glitch around it, furious white eyes of various sizes and shapes burned at Tatsuya, golden tears were now pouring from her eyes as if a dam holding liquid gold had burst. As she screamed, her mouth looked like it opened way more than any humanoid mouth should open, full of sharp, jagged teeth, and her mouth only contained more, white, glowing eyes, staring back at him as she spoke,

She violently gestured several arms towards the crowded camp, and then towards the volcano,
"SCARING AND HURTING PEOPLE ISN'T DOING WELL ȂT̼̹͎̗ ̪̭̥̩͓͕̺̄ͨ̂̚A͉̲̻̝̖̟̳ͨ͊L̤̰͂̊̂̈́̐ͨL͖̞͔̬̟ͣͪ!̱̹̥̼͊͌̍͌̓ ̙͎̼͎̰̙̔W̹̼̱̳H̝̲̭ͨ̐ͬͤͥ̍̾Y̠͕̣͉͖ͮͪͫͦ͛ ̫̫͚̝͐̉W͇͍̰̳̫͚ͣ̃͗O͕͈̬̺̠͎͛U̥̬͖͔̤̙̲ͯL̩͖̥̹͎̥͚̀̀͗̐̋D̰̑̄̏͂̆̊̄ ̫̻͍̣̲̰͗̊̈́Y̞̲̫̳O̫̲̜̝͍̪̦ͫͬ̈̌͌ͦͮŰ͕̖̥̣͒̌̈̏̈́ ͆̐̏ͬ̈́D̘̩̗̯̲̝̓̊Ö̥̜͕̺͇̘͊ ̗̣̻̮͓͍̌T͙̺̊ͩ̎̈ͣH̻̺̍̋I̫ͧ͐S͚̖͚͙̠ͪ̈?̰̘͍͖͍̃̈̅̆́̀ͅ!͓̐̓ ͚͙̫̘̩̣̫̇̽ͪͧ̀̚Ẃ̼͎͍͊̆͊͋̍H̙̦͋ͩ̀̿̽Y̳͎̞̫͌ͩ?̹̗͈̟̗̹̖̒̉̌!͕̼͆̎ͦ̐"
She didn't stay long enough for an answer, opening a portal, and gingerly putting the bag with the kid inside of it. For once she had a focused location, which was a room she used pretty often while she was at the palace in Demon World, door shut and a few golden bug buddies for if he woke up before she got him back out, shutting the portal and running off without another word to either of them. She was too mad, she was too upset... But.. As she ran away, she just felt cold. It felt like she forgot why she was even here, the young one stopping and resting her head against a building that had yet to get melted. She panted, but then covered her mouth, feeling a wave of nausea, but quickly did the floor beneath her become a blue and gold pool. She had to calm down, had to, or she'd be wasting a lot of energy, but she just...
And then she heard the voice of someone behind her, the shaken girl quickly pulled out of her shocked state to see Ulv, well, more pulled from one shock to another, sniffling and hearing her words of encouragement, and a reminder of why she was here. It didn't matter who or what caused the lava, there were people suffering, and she needed to focus on that, that was what she needed to do right now. Her inaction would lead to more suffering if she didn't move.
She wiped tears and blue fluids from her mouth, softly nodding and returning to the camp as quickly as possible, trying to get people out of there and healed, pushing the lava and Tatsuya's presence to the very back of her consciousness as she tried to keep morale rolling, softly smiling with some reassurance of getting more help, especially from Ulv.

"I mean I've heard'a hot baths… but this is ridiculous." The comedian exclaimed, looking at Oda's smoking hot appearance as he emerged from the lava bath. Surely that's as hot as he'll ever get. Sorry, ladies, this guy's coolin' off. While the joke made him chuckle a bit to himself, he doubted that the guy in front of him would appreciate it quite as much. "Jeez… do I gotta? People always ask me to do things. That's a lotta… effort." He replied, holding up both arms and shrugging. To be honest, he did not know exactly what the Shinigami were supposed to care about. He had never worked for them or against them, and did not care besides. He could feel the man trying to follow along behind him as he travelled. Hope he can keep up. The skeleton thought to himself as he blinked through the razed city, the smoke and fire brushing around his frame. When they arrived, Sonny mostly tuned out and did his own thing, he seemed to recover quickly from the travel, righting himself and doing what he could, listening to her speech and what not. "Do watcha gotta do, kid. I'm alright." That was the reassurance that came from the skeleton towards the demon girl as she said that she had to help the camp. To be honest, Sonny did not care one way or another about the demons or the civilians that were running for their lives. The only one he was really concerned with was the one in that backpack she was carrying. All in all, it looked like he had the situation decently in hand… decently under control. Just, yaknow, everything was still on fire. Oof. Quite a pair of lungs on that one. He shook his skull, trying to get the ringing from the intensity of that cry out. She was trying to rally the troops, but unfortunately, it did little for the Infanta who had come to support her. And some of us just wish we could go lay down somewhere with a good joke book… His head began clearing up again, wondering if the portal she had in mind was actually going to work. Seems like the most important she's given is finding the rest of the stragglers… really, though… I've done all I can to help them out, right…? Surely that's enough… Without thinking about it, he flicked his thumbs… and gently, bone pillars began to rise out of the ground. What once was chaos quickly became a set of lines where only one person could pass through at a time. It brought a sense of structure to the exit, making it so that those who wanted to get out were not fighting amongst one another or pushing each other over trying to get to the portal. Well that's……. Really convenient. Gotta see if she can show me that trick some time. The skeleton man thought to himself as he looked at the overlapping barrier that the girl had created around the camp… which he was currently just outside of. Just don't lose the kid. If Calypso looked his way at that point, she would see Sonny's body pivoted towards her, staring intensely at the woman taking charge of the demons around here. The guy said something about a smiley country or something. To be honest, Sonny was not that interested. He probably should have cared about the 'going to make more volcanoes' thing, and he did take note of it… but it did not bring any additional urgency to him. What was he going to do about it right now? Finally, the man's attention turned to Sonny. "Eh, yaknow, what's a city between friends?" He asked as Tatsuya tried to tell him he was not that strong. He was clearly not convinced that Tatsuya was as weak as he claimed. "And again… 'slong as this crybaby doesn't get in trouble, I could care less what you're up to." He reiterated, making it abundantly clear he did not care about their idea for a country. He was not interested in it. He had his promises to keep. "You weren't expecting a war? Huh, me neither." Sonny could not help the wisecracks. Maybe it was because of the stressful situation of the city melting, or maybe he genuinely thought Tatsuya was being a touch ridiculous. …Yaknow, from where I'm sitting it makes perfect sense… Sonny was pretty aware of the political climate the demons stayed in. Keeping tabs on those shifting loyalties was one of his jobs as Liaison. He was a pretty terrible liaison, though. Rarely reported on anything. At Tatsuya's request, Sonny just… sighed. He was flicking one of those bone chips, smoothly catching it in his skeletal palm each time. …Oh great. Sonny's Pesquia could feel something coming. Another presence, another force within this city. Out like a net it shot, extending out from his body. Tatsuya could probably feel it. It was less likely Calypso would. The person it was targeting most certainly would. A cruel, cold gaze washed over Ulv Auber's body as Sonny's eye came to rest towards her, halfway across the city. The bone chips in his hands had grown taut, grown tight….. Until he realized exactly who the intruder was. It's you. He thought to himself, the perpetual smile on his face unchanging as he recognized one of the Doctor's patients. But, what she was doing was a bit difficult to deal with. Look at her go… yeah, I definitely couldn't do something like that. Sonny watched her course across the cityscape, moving towards danger zones and rescuing civilians without a trace of fear in her eyes. And then, at last, Sonny's focus returned where it should have been all along. Where is this… oh… no… The emotional turmoil was easy to pick up, on the tell-tale signs of stress covering the young demon princess' body. The first wave of words left her, and Sonny felt the pressure that they carried. …Damn… it… kid… Both arms moved to cover his chest, the explosive force of her shout knocking his body back. The fact of the matter was, Sonny did not have much in the way of resistance. His arms hit around his face, his body hunching over. I can hear it. Hear it. Not good. This is not good. Kid. Kid. Sonny's mind was going into overdrive, disappearing and reappearing behind her, a single hand beginning to move towards her back. She would likely not be able to sense it. But Tatsuya could certainly see it. The urge to commit. To do whatever he needed to. To stop her being out of control around his charge. One skeletal hand was close to her back, close, so very close… and then he felt the portal opening behind her. His single eye watched very carefully as she placed Rasuca inside of it, and gingerly, he moved to grab the bag's straps, pulling it back over to himself. "…The kid stays with me." He said, picking it up, though it seemed to tire him quite a bit. The physical burden of the child's backpack was great for the skeleton man. So it was that he placed the child back down at his feet, taking one of his bone chips and looking directly at Tatsuya. He pointed the chip right at him, and fired it with his thumb. It flew past the man's ear, within half an inch. Sonny appeared much more relaxed now, though his gaze was more focused than before. The chip flew through the evening sky, finally hitting its target as it smacked into Ulv's back. Most likely snagging her attention as one end of the bone grew, pointing directly backwards at Sonny and Rasuca's location. Gently, he placed the bag with the child back on the ground, looking back up into Tatsuya's face. Believe me, I don't like this anymore than you do, crybaby... but I gave you one job and you let your emotions get in the way of it. I gotta do what I gotta do. "Sorry about that. Now, where were we? Sorry if things get a bit rough. I don't usually get heart attacks this often." The being lacking cardiovascular function explained, before putting his left hand in his pocket. If Tatsuya had noticed… Sonny had already lain seeds on… "…" His right hand was now pointing to Tatsuya's right side, down at the ground. With the smallest tilt of his head, Sonny activated them. A row of six bones sprouted, slamming into Tatsuya's body, physically lifting and tossing him off of the ground and sending him bodily slamming into a nearby building. To Sonny's immense annoyance, he had to leave Rasuca there in the camp to dash after his quarry. He hoped that signal he had tossed expertly at the wolf woman would get through. He was a decent judge of character; he did not think she or Calypso would let anything bad happen to the child. "Alright, guy. I dunno what's between you and her, but she's my babysitter. So can we just get this over with? I wanna head home sometime today. Just tell me what I gotta do." |
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

The Madman of the Outlands
Oda Tatsuya
おだ たつや
おだ たつや
Tatsuya remained silent as he didn't move or make a motion if someone looked at him his pulse could be questioned. Had he done it truthfully without any provocation by them? Had he truly gone here without orders or anything of the like? Tatsuya's frame remained still as his hair covered his eyes making everything dark. His body seemed rigid for now. There was a sense that he simply wasn't there at this moment. As his mind ventured back to the orders beginning to understand it. The orders weren't written down on paper. What had he burned up in the volcano that he set off? What had he done in this situation, what manner of tragedy had been unleashed? Had their really been no call for such actions against these people? Calypso's words dug like a dagger twisting into his heart and flesh. He'd caused her such pain and done so as an old fool. His body could sense this building sensation inside him. Did death seem to be the answer for him in this? Did he simply let the Arrancar beat him into a bloody pulp?
Why had he done it screamed in his ears over and over again? If his emotions could be felt this entire city would commit suicide. But as the colors began to fade his eyes of amber lost the light in them. Slowly they became dull and empty as Tatsuya's expression became paler. Mentally he'd checked out here and seemed almost like a rag doll. When Sonny hit him asking for a response nothing came out. Merely his zanpakuto activating magma around him of her own will. Tatsuya had nothing to do with anything at the moment. Truthfully he wouldn't have been standing if not for Amateratsu. She walked through visible only to her wielder she moved forward. "Tatsu, you deluded yourself into believing that a volcano was needed. Stefan shook your core so much with how easily defeated you were. The power of those in this world scared you like a newborn egg. But you couldn't accept it and fabricated orders in your own mind. Now that reality has sunk in this is the result. " She said softly to him as she stood with him as he remained numb. Unable to answer or consider the possible outcome of anything as Calypso had shaken him awake.
What did it matter at this point as his body remained stationary? No more jokes or light-hearted humor seemed to come from him. If anything Ulv would find her power had little effect on this level of shell shock. He didn't have anything set him off at the moment as he remained stationary. Tatsuya's resolve had shattered and in truth so did his control. Magma began bubbling at his feet along with a few other things. Was he to be a monster instead of a hero in his world? Was that the purpose of him in this life? Was he to swallow it and simply become a beast of this world. He knew for a fact that once it got out what he'd done. No one would accept him in this world anymore. Criminals were killed and that was his fate so what did it matter? Why bother doing anything anymore or even caring? His emotions came with loathing and many other feelings.
What did it matter anymore who he was or what he did? Did Tatsuya Oda even matter in the grand scheme? Questions without answers dream being killed so what purpose did he have. Was he simply to be a beast who enjoyed the rampage of battle. He tried so hard to be something else and do something else. But in the end, he was a dog, no more or less. That was the conclusion to be brought from it all. His mind didn't want this world as he sat within his inner world uncaring. Amateratsu simply sitting with him as she looked at him. She didn't like seeing him hurt as her gaze turned towards the city. If her owner was truly going to perish here. Destruction was something a Volcano could do easily as she frowned and merely wrapped her arms around his waist hugging him. He didn't move and merely sat there motionless among it all. Drastic actions could be taken by her and the A.I to move him if need be. But for now no attacks were made or further assaults aimed at him.
She couldn't really do much else but protect him from those who'd strike. While his mind came to terms with it. Tatsuya's body gave off steam in the air as it seemed much was going on. The ground under him cracked a bit from the heat as he stood still. His body hunched as though he was a robot offline. Inside his mind, the voices and arguments began. "Why...Why.......Why did I do it...Why did I cross that line..everything is lost..Hope...future...it's all gone." A voice that truly desired that world of smiles seemed just shocked and broken. Does it matter at all really? Does any of it truthfully matter at the end of this thing? We are just a pawn after all in this world's gears. We were born a street dog and will die a street dog." An older more realistic but almost defeated voice spoke. Something dark and almost far removed from it all stood in that place. Another voice came out as though something malevolent within him desiring blood. "Who cares about all of that bullshit."
Snapped from their thoughts and hatred the third continued on. "Why...why is it bullshit, we are supposed to help others right..why did we kill so many?" This voice still appeared to not understand this at all. Childlike innocent and belief in what had been promised him by the girl. The path seemed so clear and those once gleaming eyes of promise were empty. Innocence perhaps some part of him that wished deeply for this. Some part that made him try over and over again. Try to be something he couldn't be outside of it all and develop a thick skin. "Doesn't matter if it's bullshit or not, we are dead for this that's pretty certain. So what are we gonna do about it is the next question."The realistic portion came out speaking to the other two carefully. They both shifted making a choice to look to the third one. Blood and death were on the air when this one came forward from the darkness. "We kill them, we kill anyone who tries to kill us. This world is killed or be killed for us again. That's the price we paid as warriors to travel this road. Kindness has brought us nothing but pain." This inner turmoil couldn't even be seen by his zanpakuto as Tatsuya's body moved a bit. Tatsuya's flame flickered again as he didn't seem to have a real interest in this. They could fight but his higher-ups didn't exist anymore. Tatsuya wasn't with anyone and that was the conclusion he came too. He couldn't hide a volcanic eruption or what had happened. He'd already gone too far in every regard you could possibly fathom. All that was left was to silently burn away in this world. "Leave...me..." He said softly to Sonny. Tatsuya's voice came out soft as he walked off in no direction really. But he seemed to be leaving for now. Tatsuya Oda, if he was inside this shell, remained here for the moment. No flame flickered as he glanced at the skies now.
There would be no amber flame glowing in those eyes as the innocence and realism finally caved in for now. It was time for them both to accept that they could no longer be a hero. They never were one, they were murderers and this was their crime.

The Flame Of Hope
Artist: Carrotwine - Song: Dark Side Of The Road
Darting like a bolt around the city as her Shikai variant brought her to such beautiful heights of speed, Ulv smashed through rubble, blew away flames, kicked in walls. Every action rescued a person and brought them to the safe zone for extraction. But, with her flame stretched out as it was could feel the emotions of everyone in the city, and at the centre, it felt a deep pain. A sudden - unexpectedly sudden, she had never felt such radical change so fast in all her lives - wave of negativity rolled out from Tatsuya. It seemed all of Tsubasa's people were mentally fucked up. But it was a fuck up the man wanted, otherwise the flame would soothe him and ease the progression of his despair.
Him going mad was absolutely not a good idea, and so she sent a Hell Butterfly to Gotei - her Shinigami reiatsu still attracted them despite not being a true member of the Gotei - warning them of Tatsuya's possible meltdown. Ulv was unsure what she was allowed to do if she needed to restrain him, but she would do all she could. The other Resolve Flame on the battlefield was a curiosity, but right now she needed to deal with the threat.
Releasing the Wings Of Beowulf, bright light-wings burst from her shoes, aqnd she arrived in front of Tatsuya in moments. There was no attempt to talk him down or try to aid him. Being unaffected by the Resolve Flame would only happen if you did not want to be helped.
"Tatsuya. Don't do anything" Ulv warned. Drawing her reiatsu in tight, and focusing her incredible presence upon him. His own heart was strong enough that she could not cow him completely, but she could inspire an instinctive hesitation. Which was all she needed.

"That's right everybody! Out of here! Out of here!"
The injured were getting healed fast enough to be able to at least stand on their own, people tried to keep their families together as everyone left in crowds through the portals. It would probably be a stunning sight for so many beings to be flooding into Demon World, but there wasn't much of an option aside from having everyone who got caught up in the flames went there, and warn everyone not stuck in lava and soot to flee. Calypso saw to it that everyone was able to leave at least able to be in less pain, with all the burn and rubble-caused wounds she had seen.
Her heart sank however, despite the camp thankfully almost being empty, aside from several people having been rescued by Ulv or others willing to perform the task, and having gotten most of those who were helping her with portalling to leave through her own opening as the workload was thankfully far more minimized, she perked as she realized that she did something extremely stupid; She just left Sonny and Rasuca hanging back there and didn't even check!
"Aaah! K-keep attending to people I need to check on something!" She went running out of the camp, towards the bony man and slumbering child in his bag.
"Oh gosh, oh gosh, Mr. Sonny I-I'm so sorry! I just blew up and ran out on my job and.. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh i'm so so sorry..! I..."
Her attention immediately caught the impending magma, her heart sinking all the further like a piece of lead as she realized the volcano suddenly was going at it again, "..Evacuation is almost done b-but, It doesn't look like that stuff is being controlled anymore... We have to get into the camp, b-but.." She sighed audibly, "Listen, I hate to run off on you again, but as far as I know a lot of places are probably being hit right now, more innocent people are probably suffering, and even if i'm nobody important I can't just stand by and let everyone suffer.. Demon World already has enough issues on it's own with innocents being affected."
Through the glowing hot chaos, she knew Ulv was out there, "I don't know how well the bubble will work out, but, if you still have stuff to do, i'd trust Ulv, if you can get her attention, to watch Rasuca until this stuff is over. I'm really sorry... Everything's nuts and I really just came along thinking i'd just be helping with evacuation, not... What just happened. But I need to keep everyone safe."
The young demon looked rather torn up as she spoke, at times seeming to even force out words through chokes and tears, "But here is getting too dangerous for anybody, leaving soon would be best, for him and you. But I promise i'll make up for my crappy babysitting..."
With a faint, labored giggle, she wouldn't be surprised if he chewed her out right then and there.
