- Phase 1 - The Cherub
Description: By shuffling her energy into the Doll Mainframe, Angel is engulfed in a silver and golden heavenly light that surges from her person, drowning the surroundings. From her back, white and golden angel wings made of reishi spring forth. Each wing is almost as long as she’s tall when outstretched, though they can be folded in or recede to be no larger than her forearm.Abilities
Enhanced Skills: During Phase 1, Angel would see most of her skills, including but not limited to ones such as strength, speed, and reishi manipulation enhanced to levels expected of a Shikai-level release.
Grace: Grace is more of an effect Angel’s energy receives when in her Phase 1. Her reishi techniques, including weapons give off the semblance that they’re actually brighter than usual. More importantly however, the way her mainframe was coded, her release was fitted with two peculiar and useful abilities that would have come in handy for Crystal had her memories survived, or Angel as she is known today; this is one. Grace essentially allows reishi based attacks or weapons to potentially deal about 25% more damage against the Demon or Hollow kinds. Defenses made out of reishi also enjoy the same boost to their capabilities. However, this does not affect other energy based attacks such as kido, or even offensive maneuvers involving solely a physical skill such as hakuda. The boost is nonexistent when used against someone not explicitly explained above. Hybrids with only one of the affected races are only subjected to half the percentages in question.
Cherub’s Retribution: There are places in the known world where spirit energy is far more abundant, like Hueco Mundo, Soul Society or Iramasha Realm, and the Demon World or Hell. When present in those locations, Cherub’s retribution allows Angel to absorb spirit energy to feed into her own and her reishi at a much faster rate. What this essentially translates into is a slightly more powerful self when in those locations. The increase is minor yet still noticeable. Still, being able to increase her tier by fraction in those areas, allows her to fight far more effectively so long as she’s in Phase 1. The tier increase depends on her own tier. At a main tier of 1, she would increase her tier by ++, from say, 1-2 to 1-2++. If she were a 0 tier, it only raises her tier by +, from say, 0-5 to 0-5+, but it caps at 0-3. The ability does not work in areas not belonging to those mentioned above, such as the world of the living.
Uriel: By using her reishi manipulation, a glow of golden energy presents a form of ring as it materializes the blade Uriel into her hands. This blade follows a design that almost looks as if it was segmented or in hinges, though it’s not. Despite appearances its actually extremely sharp on both edges, and much heavier than its design would indicate. Thankfully for the girl, her level of strength makes that issue largely nonexistent. On her command however, by influencing its length with her reishi, the edges can be made to dull entirely, and the length to bend and fold into what resembles a form of futuristic short barreled shotgun. In that form, Uriel is able to fire powerful reishi blasts from it. Each reishi blast is extremely powerful, capable of leveling several large building and making sizable craters where it lands. For the most part, as a gun, Uriel can be fired about twice per post without issue. However, though the weapon can be made to fire up to a maximum of five times, going over the limit of two would incur a two post cool down before it can fire again. Uriel can also be used during Phase 2.Phase 2 – The Seraphim
Description: Perhaps the most ubiquitous yet powerful form yet known within Angel’s arsenal, it is also one with great levels of depth and significance beyond her understanding. On command, a great influx of her energy is channeled around her body and the Doll mainframe. From it extremely dense amounts of energy fire out like a blast out and away from her, and like a spiraling drill up and beyond her head and into the clouds. The beam of light is the result of extremely dense amounts of energy with a spiritual heft unlike anything she currently possesses. It gives off a very bright gold light that can at times be confused by a distinctive white glow.
The beam comes down on her momentarily, revealing not one, but two individuals. Angel, and another woman as tall as her but with pink hair stand next to her. The two hold hands as the very beam engulfs them and shoots out in just about every direction, momentarily obscuring with brightness the scene that unfolds. At its wake, only one figure remains. When it does, Angel is still standing there with her typical clothes though her looks, like her hair and her expression resemble far more the true look and representation of her soul; that of Crystal Leight. There’s just one more difference… she can see.Abilities
Enhanced Skills: During Phase 2, Angel would see most of her skills, including but not limited to ones such as strength, speed, and reishi manipulation enhanced to extraordinary levels expected of a Bankai-level release.
Archangel Grace: Unlike before, in Phase 2, Angel’s Grace ability becomes far more concentrated and powerful than ever before, though it comes with consequences. Techniques or weapons made from reishi typically deal about 50% more damage to the different kinds of Demons and Hollows. Like before, it extends to forms of defense by enhancing them by the stated amount. However, when against either Angel Iramasha or Quincy, her reishi techniques and weapons deal about 10% less damage, and her defenses relying on it are about 10% weaker too. Once more this relies only on the techniques and constructs made explicitly from her reishi manipulation. Kido, pure hakuda or solely blade work has no means of benefiting from its effects. Hybrids with only one of the affected races are only subjected to half the percentages in question.
Seraph’s Judgment: On this level of her transformation, Angel releases and absorbs far more energy from her surroundings than before, storing it as potential to make her even more efficient. When in a realm where reishi abound and their density is known to be of note worth, the Doll experiences a surge in her power of greater magnitude than that of Cherub’s Retribution. Instead, for as long as Angel’s in that location, Seraph’s Judgment allows her to exert herself to far greater limits. As a tier 1, she's able to increase one tier, from say, 1-3 to 1-2. However as a 0 tier, she's only able to increase by ++ given the differences in power, from say, 0-5 to 0-5++, but it still caps at a max of 0-3. Once more, the boost only occurs in those specific areas such as Hell, Demon World, Hueco Mundo, or Soul Society and Iramasha Realm. Large and frequented areas such as the world of the living do not possess the same benefit.
Sight: At last, in her second phase of the Seraphim, Angel finally regains her sight. Unlike in a biological being that has to adapt to a level of brightness to be able to see, she faces no such circumstances. The lenses and refractors work in tandem with her cybernetics to make sure everything is connected and set properly. Beyond that, every enhancement and capability possible with her blindfold (save for the power restriction), is able to be fulfilled, just as it had been intended at her time of creation. Unfortunately, her sight only lasts as long as she’s at least in Phase 2, as she would regain her blindness otherwise.
Uriel: Uriel behaves in just about every way it did during Phase 1. However the only difference is a slight design change. The blade no longer looks as segmented but adheres closer to its angelic theme. What's more, the reishi blasts can now be fired in its singular blade form as it can no longer be folded in or out.
Castiel: By using her reishi manipulation, Angel creates a circular shield with a diameter of around 20 inches. Despite not truly being metal given the nature of its creation, the shield stands as one of the most powerful forms of defenses she possesses. Though when created it is typically wielded in one arm, the Doll is able to manipulate it to hover around her at the location of her choosing. If necessary its dimensions can also be extended to cover a wider area to a grand maximum diameter of 50 meters. However, expanding the diameter of the shield to be more than 10 meters would cause a cool down on that effect for about two posts. More importantly, hitting the base of the shield creates a blast creates a blast that fires from its surface with a power of a certain fraction as the attack that impacted it. Whether it is a punch, a sword swing or a blast, the holy retaliation is delivered in the form of a reishi blast. The actual power of the blast is entirely dependent on her reishi manipulation mastery. The actual impact on the shield has to happen before the reishi blast can fire. It is not an instantaneous reflex, but more of a response that happens right after the fact. It should be noted that Castiel is a shield of great durability, easily compared in hardness and resilience to that of a zanpakuto. It stands to reason that breaking Castiel is extremely unlikely as would be breaking a construct of such a manner. However, a substantially powerful force from a substantially more powerful opponent could knock Castiel out of the way, and away, if made to hover. In the instance where she is holding it, it could potentially send Angel flying to depending on the nature of the attack. The reishi blast still happens, though if the shield and/or her are knocked away by the pressure, the blast can end up going somewhere else other than where it was intended. And of course, while Castiel can fire back a percentage of the damage as a reishi blast, it still only blocks an attack as a shield typically would.
At a reishi mastery of advanced, Angel’s Castiel is able to fire back reishi blasts after the shield has been struck, with a power of 50% the force that impacted, and from opponents up to two minor tiers above hers (i.e. 1-5 and 1-3). Beyond that threshold, every minor tier the opponent is stronger than her, weakens the power of the reishi blast firing by about 10% of the force it impacted with. Ultimately it caps at one major tier above hers (i.e. 1-5 and 0-5), delivering a reishi blast that’s only 10% as powerful as the force that impacted the shield. However, due to the great changes in power at higher tiers, if she were a 0-5 at a mastery of advanced, she would only fire back a maximum of 50% with opponents up to a tier of 0-4, and just 10% at 0-3s. The only difference with increasing levels of masteries is the increase in the minimum power of the reishi blast. At elite, the power of the blast would never fall below 20%, at master it wouldn’t dip below 30%, and at grand master at 35%. Regardless, Castiel can only use its ability to fire back reishi as stated above about seven times before that ability incurs a three post cooldown.
» Why:
Returning an Angel's Wings
The creation of Angel was sort of an uphill battle that was never supposed to work as well as it did, but that those present IC wish it had done better. Either way, shortly after being made, her two creators sort of vanished. Tsubasa took a leave shortly after Mirja's demise, and Crystal, the former Captain who though unknown to Angel is actually her, is obviously unreachable. The process of the soul transplantation was indeed a delicate matter as expected, and it had its laundry list of consequences. When she came to however, the Doll lacked the necessary parts to access her release state. However, during the thread linked above, Tatsuya, Tsubasa's mentor, was instructed with delivering the Doll Mainframe as a parting gift to Angel. The Mainframe was icly fitted into a port on her body, in a compartment by her back. The process isn't that much different from plugging in a flash drive, or inserting a memory card into a slot. It went in, and Angel automatically was able to run the file, read its contents, and be able to use the programs available in it at a moment's notice. However, to keep up with site regulations, Phase 3 of the Shinigami Doll transformation (which is a shikokai level release) is unavailable in a powerfully encrypted file that cannot be opened until she has sufficient power (at least 0-3). Besides that, on that same thread above, Angel is currently engaging in a spar against Tatsuya, both to put merit to his fame with the blade, but mostly in part to check the benefits and capabilities of her Phase 1 transformation.
The Forsaken Past
In the thread linked above, Magnolia and Angel meet up to discuss matters of mutual interest. The existence of Black World, and Magnolia's inability to return just yet are pressing concerns. Angel's curiosity about the world and its resources, as well as any beneficial influence it could have on her world are imperative too. But of great importance and pertinence to this update is the spar that just began. In an effort to make the Shinigami's combat file accurate, and use the opportunity to brush up on her own skills, the spar began. As her training partner is significantly more powerful than she is, without a doubt, Angel will be accessing the Phase 2 transformation she already possesses, and testing its capabilities and limits against Magnolia, since she'd be able to handle it well.

[adm]Phase 2 Release Actions: Nothing's wrong here, I just wanted to note that considering the activation sequence involves a large amount of dense spiritual energy, it's fine for it to also have actual physical repercussions to the surroundings, in and of itself acting as some sort of blast or energy deterrent. That said, if you do use it like this, considering the only parametre defined is that it rises up to the clouds, that's potentially a very large blast, and I'd ask that you consider Angel's tier in relation to this release action, for whenever Angel does utilise Phase 2 at whatever tier she is at that time.
Cherub's Retribution: This ability is fine, but specify that it won't so liberally apply a + upwards of 0-3- tier. In fact, I'd be fine if this ability gave her ++ throughout 1-tier, a single + from 0-5 to 0-4+, but beyond that it wouldn't give an outright minor sub-tier. Naturally it'd be fine to state that she gains a boost in personal energy, just not to the explicit extent of going up to something beyond 0-3.
Seraph's Judgement: Likewise with Cherub's Retribution, I'm fine with the boost up to a certain point. I'd say it's fine if she could even gain an entire minor tier (1-5 to 1-4) in these circumstances for 1-tier, and once she hits 0-tier, down to ++ upgrades, naturally capping at 0-3. Reason being, likewise with Cherub's Retribution, the energy difference between 0-3 and 0-3+ is much larger than other sub-tiers by a large degree, and it's also the threshold for a character's "final racial form". She'd still receive a large boost in accessible energy even if she were 0-3, just not to the extent of explicitly gaining 0-3+.
Castiel: With what's written, there's no mention of what occurs if Castiel is unsuccessful in receiving the full brunt force of an attack. So offer some details on how much abuse Castiel can endure, or just the general durability of the item beyond referencing that it's one of Angel's best defensive items. Also specify whether the ability--if it successfully blocks--blocks an attack entirely before activating the clap-back reishi blast, or if it just takes a percentage of how much it successfully endured, or if it doesn't successfully endure the entirety of the attack that it doesn't return any damage whatsoever--so on and so forth. In its current state, I have no idea what actually happens in practice when the shield is utilised other than a generalised description of its ability.

Other than the listed items, everything in this upgrade looks good to go. That aside, I would think it fine for Angel to potentially access these forms within the threads instead of thereafter, considering these two threads contribute to her gaining the form, the one with Tatsuya being where she actually physically obtains the means to achieve these forms, and the fight with Magnolia providing the extra push necessary for it. That said, it would make sense for her to be able to access these abilities and activate these forms--though probably without much mastery or adjustment to them just yet--while fighting Tatsuya and Magnolia to achieve Phase 1 and Phase 2 respectively.[/adm]
