I. Personality Traits
» Personality: Irene is a gentle soul to the core. She's a young lady with a very kind heart and a willingness to help anyone who needs it. Irene's honest, loyal, generous, caring, and self-sacrificing. She sees the good in anyone and believes in third chances. She doesn't believe that anyone, no matter where they came from or what they've done, is purely evil. She is the type to try her best, even if it's harming herself, to bring even the darkest hearts back into the light. It's hard to say that Irene ever thinks a bad thought. The meanest insult someone like her comes up with is "garlic breath" and it only comes from her hatred of the smell of garlic. Irene doesn't hate any person either, but feels pity for those who feel they can't or refuse to give themselves a chance in the light. Irene is truly pure at heart.
With that kind heart of hers, comes a trusting one. She hands out trust like it's candy on Halloween night. Her trusting nature comes from her naivety. She knows of the regular social queues and standards, but some of them she doesn't really like abiding by. Most people don't open up about their personal lives to strangers, but Irene will. Most people don't give hugs to those the just met, but Irene loves that. Irene has also got personal space problems that she doesn't notice. She gets too close sometimes and doesn't have a problem with touching. She's the type to jump on a tall guy's back and say hi. She'll lay her head on the shoulder of someone she sees as nothing more than a friend, not realizing they might think a bit more about that gesture. A kiss on the cheek? Yeah, that doesn't mean much.
Irene is funny with authority. If someone tells her they are a high ranking member of some organization, she'll be excited and happy and treat them like a celebrity, but she doesn't care at all about their actual orders or job. She could be in the presence of a King and would compliment him on his crown, but not care that he told her to do something. In her mind, congratulations on your title. It means you're more known than she thought, but she doesn't care what it actually means. "I'm the President!" "So?" It's an innocent thing too. She's not meaning to be disrespectful or make them feel less important. She just looks as titles as nothing more than that: titles. You're still a person. You still make mistakes. You still have dreams, and feelings. So does she. Your title doesn't make you more important.
Irene has a little obsession with the World of the Living. She often spends much of her time there, rarely returning to her own home realm. Humans are funny and need more help than she originally thought. She likes making them feel better. Beyond that, their food is amazing and colorful and sweet and chocolate! Irene loves chocolate. She loves it on cake, in cookies, in milk, on ice cream, and in the shapes of hearts on the heart giving holiday. Ever since she came to the World of the Living, Irene has been enamored with their food. She has taken cooking classes and does her best to expand the large list of recipes that she knows. Irene focuses mostly on deserts and dinners. Sandwiches are boring, so lunch is boring, and breakfast is usually made too early for her to want to cook it. All about dinner!
Irene really enjoys her fruit juices. Apple, Orange, Watermelon, Fruit Punch, and anything else you can name. She loves juice. If she's not drinking some sort of juice, she's drinking water. Irene is a bit of a health nut. It's not too bad since she eats just about anything and everything she wants, but it's her activity that keeps her thin. She's constantly on the move. She doesn't enjoy sports, besides running and swimming, so it's just her constant need to move and go on adventures that keeps her active. She prefers being active, but knows how to slow down for a day and just relax. Staying still for too long can stress her out. She doesn't need to see something new all the time, but staying home and doing nothing is boring. She prefers being out with friends and having as much fun as she can.
I. Character History
» History Irene grew up not knowing where she came from. From what her parents explained to her, she was brought into their lives through and old church in their town. They had been wanting a child for some time, but due to some fertility issues, they were not able to conceive. To them, Irene was their gift from God. And because of the love and support Irene got from her family, she never felt the need to go looking into her past. It was only when she hit puberty that things began to change. Irene began showing evidence of spiritual powers of sorts. The powered humans and other races that lived made it easier to accept, but the nature of Irene's power often felt off. It was never negative, just off. In fact, Irene's presence often just made people happier. It was hard to be mad at her or anyone else when she was around, and when she tried to calm you down, you always felt at peace.
The nature of Irene's power allowed her to live a peaceful life, but she soon found out that this calming ability wasn't her only one. In fact, it wasn't her main one at all. Irene discovered, purely by accident, that she had the ability to manipulate, create, and consume light. When she was playing a game of hide and seek with some of the younger kids in the neighborhood, she scared them. She didn't understand why and tried to comfort them, but they kept getting more scared until they ran off shouting "ghost." They were young and not exactly exposed to the spiritually enhanced yet, so their fear was understandable. What Irene didn't realize though, was that when she was about to be found, she hid herself behind her power, by bending the light particles around her and making herself invisible.
With the discovery of this power, Irene was excited and scared at once. She felt like she had this wonderful gift, but not knowing how to use it terrified her. What if she hurt someone? What if her power acted up at the most horrible time and caused something bad to happen? Her paranoia caused problems for her. She noticed that any time she was getting scared, mad, frustrated, or anything negative, she would end up with burns. The burns ranged from big to small, usually moving up her arms, but sometimes moving onto her torso. It took some time for her to figure out that getting mad was not good for her. It actually harmed her. She had to learn to control her emotions, but not being able to made things worse. She got more and more frustrated, which caused her powers to act up and burn her more. With this happening, Irene and her family went in search for some help.
It took some time to delve into the spiritually enhanced community and find someone that could help Irene advance. The woman they ended up finding was named Akelia, an Angel Iramasha that heard their plea and decided to guide Irene. When they first met, Irene thought Akelia was a long lost Aunt. The two slowly became close and Akelia lived with them for a few months before she sat down with Irene and began helping her. Irene's parents made it very clear that they were honest with her about the adoption, so Akelia explaining Irene's heritage was not as hard as it could have been. Being told you're not human can be a bit of a blow to the psyche. Irene was very confused about not coming from the World of the Living, but accepted it decently quickly with the support of Akelia and her parents. Once she understood what it meant, Irene began training.
Akelia started Irene off with Aether control. She explained what it was and used her own power over the air as an example for Irene. After some practice, it was discovered that Irene had an affinity for light, but that wasn't it. Akelia noticed a significant difference in Irene's aether, especially when she tried using it. Irene's aether was beyond pure. It was overwhelming and felt impossible. It took Akelia some time to get used to being around Irene during training because of it. The months leading up to training had always felt off. Akelia was an Angel Iramasha like Irene, so to have Irene's aether even effect her was surprising and sometimes unsettling. Irene's control over that aether came naturally as well. Akelia's guidance allowed Irene to become very efficient with her aether, her control over it being almost graceful and fluid, like water trickling down a stream.
With Irene's control being more advanced than people of her age, Akelia was impressed. Irene began developing her control over light faster than Akelia thought possible. Irene's enthusiasm was contagious as well. After Irene proved her ability to create enough light to darkened a system of caves and turn herself invisible by bending light around her, Akelia had an interesting idea. After talking with Irene's parents, Akelia got permission to bring Irene to the Iramasha Realm. Irene was overly excited. She was so excited that they left the next day without much preparation. The moment Irene stepped into the Iramasha Realm, it felt like something had just fallen into place. Even though she loved her parents, Irene had to admit that being in her native realm just felt like home. Akelia was delighted and showed Irene to the place they would both be staying: Akelia's mansion.
In the World of the Living, Irene's family lived modestly on a productive farm on the edges of a small town. Living in the middle of a city and inside of a mansion was a completely new world for her. Irene took well to the gardens, often helping the gardener tend to the flowers and other plants. Irene practiced in the fields to the south of the property, it being the one place that her power could go a little wild without worrying about hurting someone. As Irene's powers advances even further, the unnaturally pure natural of her aether was becoming more and more apparent. For some reason, Irene's aether was just more potent in the arts of purification than Akelia had ever heard of. The two tried doing some research on it, wondering if it was a specific trait to anyone within the realm, but found nothing. This research caused Irene to soon she asked Akelia about her parents.
Akelia had absolutely no idea who Irene's parents would have been. To figure that out, she'd need a birth name or a higher status within the Iramasha Realm than what she currently had. Irene was disappointed and often kept thinking on the matter, but she tried not to bother Akelia with it much. Soon, the thought of meeting her birth parents faded away. This happened when Akelia made an interesting discovery about Irene. It was obvious that Irene was the Angel Iramasha of Light, but light came in multiple forms. In Irene's case, this apparently also meant the light within someone's heart, mind, and soul as well, which was impressive to Akelia. This was why Irene's ability to purify was so much stronger than most Angel Iramasha like her. Irene's affinity for "light," whether within a person or in the natural world, greatly enhanced her purification abilities.
Training continued within the Iramasha Realm, but Irene became very interested with exploring. Akelia took her to a few places that were very different from what she was used to, but that only made Irene more curious. Irene's focus fell from training for a while, which was fine, but when people began to notice Irene's unique purification properties, things got a little weird. Irene wasn't used to the culture of her native realm. She was often looked at as weird by other people and that upset her. When someone made fun of her for it, Akelia noticed Irene's power snuffing out the darkness within Irene's own heart. Akelia began wondering if that extra power was really a blessing or a curse of some sort. It made Irene more efficient in many ways, but also destroyed her ability to really think and feel freely. Once Irene explained to her how it happened, Akelia felt kind of bad for her.
Irene had gotten so used to her powers weird interactions over the years that it never bothered her. However, one thing was bothering her: Irene missed her Mom and Dad. She had been in the Iramasha Realm for some time, which had been okay with her parents, but she wanted to see them. About two years later, Irene finally returned home to brag about her powers and her native world, only to find that her Father had fallen ill and forced them to sell their farm. Whatever her Father had was not being cured easily. He was constantly in the hospital while Irene and her Mother lived in a small apartment in the city. This helped Irene's focus come back into training. Her power was to snuff out the darkness, right? Did that work on things that did not naturally belong there? Irene went back to the Iramasha Realm to literally create a spell that expunged foreign entities from the body.
It worked, but Akelia warned Irene about doing this. It was a rather selfish act and could have unforeseen consequences if Irene wasn't careful. Irene did not heed this warning and hurried on home with the spell. She cast it on her Father as soon as she possibly could. Removing whatever that infectious disease was, Irene had completely cured her Father and he was able to return home within a week. He had to do some physical therapy after being in bed for so long, but things were slowly moving back to normal. That didn't last for long though since news of this miraculous cure spread like wildfire. People began flocking to her home, begging her to cure them of their ailments. At first, it was okay and Irene was happy to help, but it got worse. People began coming to her with the common cold and her life became a circus. Because of that, Irene began charging for the cure.
Irene made quite a bit of money. She quickly became a one-woman organization within the World of the Living. With this money, she bought her family farm back, upgraded the house, bought her Father a nice truck, bought her Mother as many dresses as she wanted, hired a few people to help her Father with the farm, and then decided she needed a place of her own. Not wanting to be anywhere near the city, Irene built her own little cottage out in the woods of Karakura Forest. She had heard of someone else living out there, someone much more powerful and frightening than she was, but stubbornly treated it like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster, and decided to live out there anyway. Her denial was soon proven wrong when she met the man who shared the forest as home. Luckily for her, he wasn't as bad as most people assumed. In fact, the two ended up in a strange friendship.
Having met Radioactive, there is one thing that Irene is determined to get out of him: his name! His real name, too, not the code name he goes by. Irene openly admits that Radioactive intrigues her. He's a mystery, but interesting to talk to. She mostly enjoys hearing any story that he'll be willing to tell her and making him try new foods. At the moment, he really is the only friend that she has. With little way to actually adventure safely, Irene has chosen to live in the Karakura Forest until she has the opportunity to move on. She returns to Karakura City every now and then, but usually for shopping and mild entertainment. Though she is well known in some areas of the world, she's glad the fame she once had has dwindled down over the years. Rarely does anyone come looking for her, but if they do, Irene welcomes the company and is glad to help how she can.
I. Racial Abilities, Skills, & Passives
» Aether Control and Everything Else:
Irene did not always have the control she has now, but with the amount of focus she has gained through years of training she has mastered her abilities. After finding out that she is actually an Iramasha and finding her trainer, Akelia to help her learn control, Irene's power skyrocketed. Her control over her Aether is precise and almost graceful in practice. Irene's aether control allows her to create extremely complex spells that are difficult to cast. Her control over Aether can be called perfect and masterful. Since Irene is still new to certain aspects of being an Iramasha, magic specific to her kind is not something she has dabbled in as of yet. She also has not used or discovered her own personal aether stone. She is still learning, but some aspects of being an Angel Iramasha are not known to her. Since she has also been in the World of the Living, she probably won't learn any time soon. Because of this, her concentration is on what Akelia has taught her. She concentrated on advancing her control, focus, and abilities with light and purification.
Sight of Light:
This is another one of Irene's passives. This passive gives her the ability to see through darkness and shadows. It also allows her to see invisible creatures, as long as the reason they are invisible is because of the absent of or manipulation of light sources.
Sacred Aura:
Surrounding Irene in a 100ft sphere is an aura that alters the mentality of those around her. The longer they are within this auras effects the stronger the effects will become. The aura radiates purity and innocence, giving those around her positive feelings. Those who are evil and intending to harm may feel hesitant and question their actions. Those who are bitter and angry may feel calmer and more understanding. Irene is moderately aware of this auras existence. She cannot control it. She cannot make it weaker or stronger, but she can try and take advantage of the alterations it makes by talking people down.
Pure Innocence:
Irene's Aura mentioned previously mostly effects other people now, but it has trained her throughout her entire life. When Irene acts or feels selfishly or negatively, her own power to promote lightness and purity punishes her for these thoughts and acts. When these situations of selfishness and negativity occur, the power within Irene actually harms her. Often showing up in the form of burns, her purification abilities can and do hurt her.
The Effects of Night:
Irene has an affinity for light, which means darkness is her opposite. Irene does not do her best in darkness. Though dark and evil spells and abilities have 50% less effect on her, at night, this is reduced to 10%. During the night, Irene is often much more tired, as if her energy has been sapped from her. This also goes for darkened places, like basements, caves, etc... Once she re-enters the light, she's happy again. This also means that during the afternoon, Irene is often at her best. The more light out, the better she will feel.

» Aether Class Name: Light
» Aether Class Power: The control, creation, and manipulation of light and the expulsion of darkness. This power does not only speak to the light and shadows aspect of it, so it's not only the physical "what you can see" that Irene can control. "Light" also pertains to the soul. Irene has the ability to manipulate the light within someone, which is why she has the aura that makes people feel happier and kinder around her. She has the ability to expel darkness within people, not just make a room brighter, but a person as well.

Type: Personal
Difficulty: Beginner
Effects: A simple spell that focuses Irene's affinity for light into an object, allowing it to glow brightly and light her path or the paths of others. This light can be put onto any small object that Irene can hold in her hand to be carried, or placed on larger object to brighten up an entire area. It lasts for up to six hours, giving enough time to find your way.
Name Of Spell: Dancing Lights

Effects: This spell allows Irene to create multiple balls of light. She can mentally control the lights, making them get larger or smaller, brighter or more dim, or move them around. Irene calls this spell "dancing lights" because she often has them fly around in the manner of fireflies or has them float around above her like the stars. They're pretty!

Difficulty: Advanced
Effects: This spell allows Irene to bend light around an object or person and cause them to go invisible. She does this by waving her hand over the air, similar to the kido Kyokkō, and bending light over and around the object she desires to make invisible.
Name Of Spell: Dispel
Type: Personal
Difficulty: Advanced
Effects: This spell allows Irene to shatter another. Using the light particles around her, Irene condenses them down into the palm of her hand. She then points her palm into the direction of or touches the spell she wishes to dispel, and uses those light particles to rapidly heat up and take apart other peoples spells. She can use this spell five times per thread, but with a one post cool down in between. The cast time is almost instant.

Effects: This spell allows Irene to pull the light from the surrounding area and store it away. The light is stored within herself, acting as an extra source of energy or a battery to help her keep going. Irene mostly uses this to give herself a boost of energy at night. When cast, the spell does make the area darken for some time, breaking that areas ability to take in more light for a few minutes. Irene can recast until the area is completely dark.

Difficulty: Master
Effects: Easily her most powerful spell, Irene rapidly absorbs as much light around her as she possibly can, releasing it on her own terms. The longer she absorbs the light, the stronger the effects become, multiplying each effect by 2 for each second she is absorbing the light. The base effect, with a 1 second absorption duration, is a medium sized explosion of extremely bright light with a heated intensity that causes those struck by it to burn. The explosion reaches out to 100 feet, burning anyone within that area. The second effect is blinding anyone within 200 feet of the area for ten seconds. Those within the radius are immediately blinding, but those outside of the radius have to be looking at it to be blinded.

Effects: Irene uses her aether to draw a triangle in front of her. if anyone runs into the triangle, it immediately expands into the form of a pyramid and locks the person within. Irene likes using this as punishment for those trying to hurt her or other people. Irene keeps people locked inside until they apologize and then lets them go. The spell lasts for however long she wants it to if she is in a casual thread. Within a combat thread, the prism only stays around them for 3 rounds of posting. It can be broken through.
Name Of Spell: Light Ray
Type: Personal
Difficulty: Adept
Effects: This spell is a simple offensive spell that allows Irene to defend herself from attackers. Acting no differently than a basic beam, this spell is a ray of light that forces who ever is struck by it to move back away from her at a high rate of speed. The ray itself does no damage, but moves at about five times Irene's own speed. Whatever the target hits upon being pushed back is what would do the damage. Irene only uses this out of reflex, trying to prevent someone from striking her. She can use this 10 time per thread.
Name Of Spell: Reflect
Type: Personal
Difficulty: Advanced
Effects: Irene uses light particles to create a mirror by condensing them down into a solid form. The mirror that she creates acts as a barrier, but also reflects attacks. If an energy attack strikes the mirror, the attack is absorbed and reflected back at the original caster within the same post. If the mirror is struck by a physical attack, the mirror takes some damage (damage will be figured out within thread, depending on who is attacking) and then forces the attacker back. The mirror can break if damaged enough. The mirrors are created instantly, but has a one post cool-down before another can be made. Irene can create up to five mirrors in one thread. A mirror cannot be moved once made.
» Sub-Aether Class Power: Purification. Yes, purification is naturally an Angel Iramasha feature, but Irene's abilities with purification are meant to be 100% more powerful and more potent than that of any other Iramasha that dabbles in it. Other pieces of Irene's power based off of her Iramasha Aether Classes are sight, innocence and purity.
» Sub-Aether Class Abilities: Enhancement. Irene's natural affinity for purifying, expelling the darkness, and repelling evil gives every single one of her spells, no matter which one it is, the ability to purify. It aids her greatly in protecting not only herself, but those she wishes to fight for, since her ability to purify can also alter someone's alignment. Irene has the ability to, albeit slowly, alter the way someone's mind is working. She can make someone who is depressed feel happy, hatred feel love, and anger feel contentment. This effect is meant to be on all of her spell abilities. The degree to which it effects a persons character is up to the character owner. It could be a permanent effect or a temporary effect. It could be really weak or really strong. It's meant for plot and nothing more.

Purification Abilities:
Name Of Spell: Imbue
Type: Personal
Difficulty: Master
Effects: This ability allowed Irene to fuse her light aeither with an object. The object that she fuses is also filled with purification aether, allowing Irene to use the item to tear through the darkness and the evil. Irene commonly uses this ability with a bow and arrow. (To those who recognize the ability, think Kikyo's sacred arrow from Inuyasha.)

Effects: This spell allows Irene to remove foreign objects from a person's body. By forming a clear green colored light around her hand, she places her hand onto the persons body. The light sinks within them, causing them to glow faintly, with many glittery light particles floating up from their body. The light expands over them and connects with their own tissues and blood, allowing an almost surreal connection between Irene and the one she is treating. This connection is intense, giving them both a comforting feeling of safety. The connection also allows them to understand Irene's motives much better, which has allowed her to gain admirers and friends in the past. While this spell is being cast, Irene's aether is moving through the body and destroying anything that the body finds harmful. It is her way of purifying the body and allowing illnesses, toxins, and poisons to be purged.

Class: Immaterial
Skill Range: Advanced
Effects: A simple yet useful spell which focuses on the metaphysical aspects of healing. By using the aether around her, Irene is able to create a field around the wound and reconstruct whatever is enveloped in this field. This field is usually defined by the formation of a glowing light which emanates from one hand to the other and envelops whatever it is reconstructing. Irene is easily considered a master in her healing ability.

Effects: Irene wants to give everyone a fair shot at a happy and loving life. She has chosen to create this blessing in order to do that. When she gives this blessing to someone, it is usually a person who needs a fresh start or a newborn that deserves a clean slate and strong chance in the world. This blessing is meant to enhance the luck of the subject and protect their heart from growing dark. It gives them an aura, similar to Irene's Purification Aura mentioned above, that makes them feel and think positively. It also aids those around the subject to thinking and feeling positive, so things don't go bad. It is possible for this blessing to be worn away by the negativity of the world, but it's very difficult to do so. This blessing is almost an imprint on the person's soul over just their body. The blessing lasts for up to ten years, hopefully giving enough time for a positive outcome in their life.
