The world of unknown possibilities... At least unknown to the creature known as Andi. They had walked, and walked... Miles upon miles, across the vast terra. They discovered new yet so familiar things... Trees, Sky, Animals... So familiar yet so new... They thought they were heading towards somewhere new, different than the dark corridors that they lurked for who knew how long. The world appeared endless to them, unlike the constricted, shadowy halls empty of any presence. Things were alive here, flourishing, ever expanding. The very sights interested Andi, pushed them forward, their curiosity knowing no bounds.
They traveled through vast fields, happening upon a few man-made objects that were strewn about, a few patches of trees holding insects and a few prey and predators, none which had any interest in the demon. The demon got to witness the life of the world, the creation of many years of evolution and construction...
Until what beheld their vision, a far off cloud of smoke and faint sounds... These sounds shook the creature's core, but they did not have any reason why they had irked them. They pushed the feeling to the back of their mind, and continued progressing, until the most shocking of sights cursed their perception of sight.
A... "City" on fire.
Smoke wafted into their sense of smell, the stimuli of the new scent goading them forward. The sounds became clearer the closer and closer they approached the scene.
It was screaming... The screams of people... The call of death and suffering.
They entered the burning mass of buildings that seemed to kiss the sky, though they were slowly being eaten by the flames. As they walked into the carnage, of screaming people and others burning the place to the ground, Andi made sure they were not seen. They turned into the smallest and fastest form they had on their plate; a fennec fox. Their coat was a black with dark purple accents, which made it far easier to slip by the attackers and victims, and simply... Watch.
They witnessed people being murdered, their lives halted and drowned in a stream of crimson red. Andi approached a few of these people, some having been burned to death, or were brought down by other means. Some begged for help, some looked at them with the most pitiful, begging look in their eyes. Andi felt nothing towards them. They understood death, just not the importance of it.
They felt no fear as they traveled through the burning city, analyzing the violence and decay. They themselves took refuge in an alleyway that was not yet scorched by the flames, taking a bit to analyze what they had witnessed. They changed to their human form, their childish figure small and weak, it would be a surprise to any who happened upon them that they were not kissed by the flames of war. Andi then reached for some debris nearby, chowing down on the damages. They stared at their dirtied hands, A thought flowing through their mind.
Humans... Are so fragile.
