Personality:

Masako is a pimp, a ladies man, if you prefer, but not by choice. He doesn't chase after women, he focuses mostly on his studies, but they just can't seem to stay away from him. No matter how hard Masako tries, he's always followed by a group of girls, giggling over some part of his appearance or another.

He's a quiet man, talking in a sullen, almost bored tone, and keeping to himself a lot. He's top of his class and therefore sees himself as being intelligent, thus leading him to talking like a bit of a snob every now and again. He generally cares for people, and tries his best to help them, but that side of him is usually covered by his intelligent attitude.

Power Development Stage 1 Appearance:

To activate stage 1, he simple crosses his arms, palms facing him, extending so his hands are by his head, and turning his fingers into a claw-like position. When he does this, all that happens is that gloves form, like this:



Power Development Stage 1 Abilities:

Shadow Bullet: By balling his hands into fists and punching at an opponent, he can send out blasts of energy equal in strength and speed to an arrancar's Bala. These blasts are black.

Shadow Blast: By thrusting his palm towards an opponent, Masako can shoot of blasts of energy equal in strength, size, and speed to a Cero.

Shaper: If Masako makes a line,pattern, etc through the air, he can fire off a shadow blast or a shadow bullet in that shape. For instance, if he made a chopping motion diagonally, he would fire a large, diagonal shadow blast at an opponent. If he poked the air, he would fire a thin, concentrated, tube-shaped blast at the opponent. He controls whether the attack he fires is of Shadow Blast or Shadow Bullet strength.

To activate this form, Masako simply stands stock still and raises his head to the sky.

Power Development Stage 2 Abilities:

All his abilities up in level. His cero and bala-level attacks are now on par with that of the espada's cero and bala. His movement speed also triples. He also gains new abilities.

Shadow Travel: Masako can summon his own shadow out of the ground to absorb him and pull him down into the ground with it. His shadow remains on the ground but he himself is not there. He is the shadow now. He can not attack in this state, nor can he be harmed, but he can travel at twice the speed of a shunpo in this state.

Shadow Command: Masako has the ability to take hold of shadows in the area and use them to his own devices. Whether it be launching his attacks from them by firing them into his own shadow and having them come out of a random shadow in the area, or whether it be pulling power from them to increase the strength of his attacks by 1.5 per shadow.

Shadow Blade: Masako can extract energy from his own shadow, making a 4'6" long katana out of pure shadow.


Background:
Masako was born in eastern Karakura, born into a family of lawyers, doctors, and the like, and thus, he had high expectations set for him, even from birth. His grades were pretty much set in stone from the day he walked into his assigned preschool. Straight As all his life, never once faltering on a quiz or getting nervous about a test.

Despite his hard work towards grades and his strict parents, he still managed to have a social life, gathering his own group of close friends and "allies" of sorts through his school years.

Currently, he is a Senior at Karakura High School.

Awakening of his powers:

During his sophomore year, during one of Masako's walks home, he ran into a grouping of what appeared to be white blurs fluctuating around the area. Finding this strange, Masako decided to follow the strange grouping. He followed for days on end. Eventually, the grouping of forms became more clear to him. Forming into large monster-looking beings. They found him following them and attacked, the hollows now visible to Masako, he ran. Eventually, one pinned him down. He desperately struggled, pushing every last ounce of his will forth into trying to get the hollow off of him...

And then it exploded.

With it went a black burst of energy, unknown to him. He looked at his hands and saw the black gloves that marked his transformation. Testing his powers, he punched towards another nearby hollow, sending another blast of energy at it and killing it as well. Excited, he ran, eager to train and get stronger.
