Personality:
Just like any other noble, Odysseus looks down on people of lower status. Even though he was born into the lowest of the 3 main Suigara clans, he still looks down upon those below him. He only has people who he chose personally to shine his shoes, clean his clothes, etc. He rarely will let anyone near him, let alone touch him. If you do touch him, prepare to be taken to the dungeon to be flogged. However, he's beginning to be a bit nicer. It's said that with Midori's abduction, he's becoming more tolerant of people.

As it was arranged from birth, Odysseus is to marry Misaiko when she feels she is ready. However, she has postponed it not once, not twice, not thrice, but seven-hundred-and-four times. He is slightly annoyed, but nonetheless, it is her wishes. He will protect her, even if it means breaking the council's rule of not releasing his Sacred.


Odysseus is respectful to other royalty, but still looks down upon them. He will associate with them if they are of high enough class. He does not, however, associate himself with the second house of the Suigaras. He prefers the third house to the first though, but he will accept most of the first's invitations to events.

Odysseus: "Friends? What friends?"
In actuallity, he doesn't consider anyone a "friend". He hates the term friend, and at best you can get "close aquantance." However, this does not include close family. Who this includes are: Misaiko's siblings and her children; and his siblings. He has taken a liking to Midori Sugiura's situation. That is, she has joined the famous 0 Division.

Odysseus despises other races. He has come up with a monologue that explains it all.

"Humans...can't defend themselves. Quincies? They disturb the balance of souls. They destroy the hollows completey...so crude. Shinigami? They're better than the two. They've just gotten to the point to where they think they're better than everyone else. Their technique of taking down a Hollow is old-fashioned. They have to either get close or release their swords...why just point and shoot. Hollows? They're like stray dogs. They need to be put down. Arrancar...what a pitiful excuse for a mutt. Vizards? Such a crude mutt...they simply need to be put down. Ziamichis? Disgusting. All of them. Iramashas? They're alright...I guess. Methuselah? What the fuck are they? Meh. I don't care anymore..."


Elegant and swift, Odysseus has learned (and mastered) all of the Sugiura's Kekkai techniques. In doing so, he has learned the "Absolution Technique." This allows him to use Hoi, Joso, Ketsu, Metsu, then Tenketsu all in one swing. He is working on making it to where he can use Hoi, Joso, Ketsu, then Kai in one swing. He rarely will use any of the other Kekkai techniques, especially Musou, calling it "Dumbing yourself down." Since he is forbidden to use his Sacred, he rarely even carries it into battle, carrying a sabre instead. He is, however, trained heavily in the use of his Katana and his Sabre equally.

When sealed, Duel à l'épée du Roi appears as a 40-inch long Katana. He carries it on his right side, as he is oddly a left-handed Sugiura.

Released:


When released, it becomes a more "noble" weapon. The rapier's hiltguard is made of shined titanium alloy that is lightly coated in diamond and resembles a falcon's wings. The hand guard resembles an angel's wings, The forte` is decorated by a large piece of rounded sapphire and inside is the symbol for Theta. The blade is painted red on the sides, while the actual blade is a silvery color.

Guardian Beast's World: Proof of Odyeuss's power, his inner world is at least three kilometers high and 1 kilometer wide, not including projections on the sides. It appears to be in an eternal midday sky above an endless ocean. It is a large floating fortress city. The bottom is filled with the slums while the top is much like an Ossuary.

Magic:
Absolution: By training for over 5000 years in Kekkai, Odysseus has mastered the Absolution technique. In a single swing of his Sacred, or his specially-made saber, he uses Hoi, Joso, Ketsu, Metsu, and Tenketsu all at once. It is normally forbidden, as it tears the dimensional fabric without stabilizing it first.
Odysseus is also a master in the Sugiura Kidō, however he still does not all of them.

Guardian Beast Unsealed

Joushou:("Ascending")
Odysseus's Joushou, Azur Rose (lit: Sky Blue Rose), is unique. It is a fire-type and is the strongest fire-type Sacred in existance. It is said that it glows with the passion within his heart for nobility. His weapon becomes coated in white and blue flames.
Shiroi Kaen (lit: White Blaze): Odysseus can swing his sword in a diagonal fashion and thirteen arrows made of white flames will appear. These arrows are three feet long and two inches thick. They will immediately go forward after creation at about 130 mph.
Yochi (lit: Premonation): Sometime during Odysseus's second battle with Irkura Yamato, Odysseus demonstrated the ability to receive extremely brief premonitions of events mid-battle, almost like seeing an echo of future occurrences. He later discovered that Duel à l'épée du Roi had revealed to him a deeper aspect of his powers to preserve his life. Odysseus has never displayed these abilities again, suggesting that he has yet to discover them on his own. It is also unknown if this power was restricted to his Joushou.


Zenou: ("Almighty")
Odysseus's Zenou is Jacasser Fulgurer (lit: Cry Lightning) and possesses significantly stronger abilities than it's Joushou form. This time his fire is a light blue color. It burns at a higher temperature and is spread more quickly. He can create fire from his gloves by making different hand motions. For example, flipping someone off creates a mortar-like attack and pointing at someone with his hand like a gun fires a bullet-like bit of fire.

Hasaki Enkou (lit: Fire from the blade tip): Odysseus can channel energy through his gloves to his sword and therefore when he jabs his sword at someone, it creates a large drill made of fire. It is uncontrolled but highly dangerous.


Kyuu Kyou:("Ultimate")
Odysseus's Kyuu Kyou form is Blanc Rose des Vents (White Rose of the Wind) (lit: White Wind Rose). Odysseus's blade will disappear and he will remove his gloves, in as much of an epic and exaggerated way as Light Yagami eating a chip. His fire now is white in the center with a royal blue outline. He can create fire in paths by moving his hands, arms, and legs. The fire is now capable of incinerating almost everything it touches within an instant.

Épée Royale de la Flamme Blanche & Épée Royale du Flambée Bleu (lit: Royal Sword of the White Flame & Royal Sword of the Blue Blaze): These two swords are formed from the tips of Odysseus's fingers. Épée Royale de la Flamme Blanche is made of white fire and created from his right hand. Épée Royale du Flambée Bleu is made of blue fire and created from his left. Both are shaped like claymores and are about 4 1/2 feet long. They can parry other blades with no trouble and are incredibly durable. Water does not seem to affect the blades.

Alter Appearance:






Alter Personality: Simply put, Alter Odysseus wants nothing short of pure destruction. But not Destruction of just anything. He wants the destruction of the Sugiura's social system. He wants Misaiko and Shimura family's heads on a silver platter with Midori, Shinju, and Iori's on golden ones. He'll then set the Western Lands ablaze and then order a blizzard followed by a nuclear winter. He doesn't like the Sugiuras, in contrast to his other side. In fact, he prefers Shinigami to the Sugiuras.

Alter Powers: Alter Odysseus has no new powers, though he has access to all of his other side's powers. His flames are now crimson and black. Épée Royale de la Flamme Blanche & Épée Royale du Flambée Bleu are renamed Épée Royale de la Flamme Cramoisie & Épée Royale du Flambée Noir, meaning Royal Sword of the Crimson Flame & Royal Sword of the Black Blaze respectively. He also is more skilled with his swords in fencing maneuvers.

History/Roleplay Sample

Character Background:In the history of the Sugiura clan there has been three main families that make up the nobility. The first of which is the actual house of Sugiura. The second is the house of von Richter (of the Judge). The lowest house of the houses is le Rouge de Loi (of the Red Law). Being born into the House of Sugiura means you are entitled to be a clan leader or something of that sort if you are not the first-born. Being born into the House of von Richter means you will serve on the magistrate and the Council of Eleven. However, you will most likely not be given a position as a Clan head. Being born into the House of le Rouge de Loi is a terrible position. You are not entitled to any position, but you may be selected for a position.

The second and third families rivaled constantly. This led to something known as the Bloody Revolt. Only two people were killed, but it was known as the Bloody Revolt because of the fact that the second and third families' main female were both pregnant. They gave birth within minutes of one another but the third house's female gave birth first. Not only was it before the other, but the second's child was female. This meant that the third house would have the control of the male side of the Sugiura Clan and thus, that child would be the "King" of the Sugiura Clan.

Odysseus was born into the House of le Rouge de Loi during the end of the Bloody Revolt. He was the child that ended the Bloody Revolt as well. He was the one that prevented more massacre, as the third family planned to attack the second family if their child had been born first. However, the second family had planned the same thing. The night after he was born. a group of Knights from the second family raided the third family's part of the land. In an instant, over half of the third family was slaughtered before the first family and the Knights of God arrived. The second family was exiled for a few thousand years.

Oblivious to what was happening around him, Odysseus eventually learned what his birth had caused. He was proud of it and bragged about it until his parents made him stop. In his private tutoring, they skipped the Bloody Revolt. He excelled in everything but math, saying "A King has servants to do that for him!" He was promptly slapped and told that he needed to be more subtle about his Nobility.

It was when he was being schooled in the art of Kekkai that his strength started to show itself. His Hoi was more accurate and his Ketsu was stronger than any other candidate at that time. He was also one of the first in the academy's history to learn Musou. When he was finally able to manifest his Sacred, he was unable to release it. It took the Council of Eleven to determine its power. And with that, he was forbidden to release it.

However, this wasn't the the Oddyseus that people would grow to know and love. When Odysseus gained his Sacred and later his Kyuu Kyou, he learned of the "Alters." Alters were the opposite of what people felt after they gained Kyuu Kyou. It is still unknown why or how they are created, but it is impossible to have Kyuu Kyou and not have an Alter. Odysseus was cocky and said that he'd break the trend. Of course, this came back to bite him in the ass when his Alter appeared. His Alter easily overtook the surprised Odysseus and now his Alter controlled his body.

On his 1000th Birthday, Odysseus met what was to be his wife. She had beautiful white hair and a bust the size of Mount Olympus. He kindly introduced him to her, even though she was his elder. It was rare for the male leader to be younger than the female. It was a gala to celebrate his birthday, and at the stroke of midnight, Misaiko was taken back to the House of Suigara's land. It was only 500 years later that the two met up again, though it was technically forbidden. When they met, it wasn't just dinner, it was spicy...and steamy. Five hours later, the two returned to their land and vowed never to speak of it again.

When Odysseus was 2100, he was offered the Kinghood. While normally only avalible at 5000, the Suguiras needed a male leader. He accepted promptly and thus he and Misaiko moved to the top of the Suigara Tower. The two had awkward moments as he still had to be 5000 before he could have children with her. 5000 went and passed quicker than they knew it and it was still awkward moments.

It was when Odysseus was 6700 that Misaiko became pregnant with their first child, Iori. She was blessed immediately after birth from the Council of Eleven. She was beautiful girl, though it was their second child that was said to be the more beautiful of the two. Midori was born 300 years after Iori. However, Iori was still the first-born and therefore the next in line to ascend the throne.

Midori soon joined the Gotei 13 after falling in love with one of their members, Ceon Clixx. Odysseus holds this man in high regards, as he can sense he's not a regular Shinigami. Also, if he is the lover of his youngest daughter and for him to not be in a coma...he's definately not on Odysseus's shitlist. Recently (50 years ago), Odysseus left the Sugiura lands to find someone who can tell him the true power of his swords. He found the man, Kisuke Urahara, who he looks down upon still, but he needed someone with an understanding of reiatsu and Reishi. He eventually found his way back the Sugiura lands, only to find a plushie in between his wife's breasts. Recently, his Alter Form has been trying to take back control. However, he doesn't want that power back out, and for good reason too...
