On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission] Empty On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission]

Welp, that sucked. Horribly. So much had happened, and so many things came from it. Honestly... It was just so taxing on the women, everything was taxing lately. First the spar with Moonie with a short rest, then the war. She's glad she made it out alive, but she was heavily weakened for a fair bit from it. Bandages lined her entire abdomen, along with covering her shoulders and most of her legs. However, for once, those parts of her body weren't visible. Elysia knew where she was going, and chose to bundle up, leading to the woman being entirely cloaked by a large, fur coat that was a few sizes too big on her. The only part of her body that poked out was her eyes, hood pulled over as the rest of the coat was wrapped tightly around her form, each step needed to be careful since the tips fell down to her ankles due to the size. Honestly, it was a little bit adorable for someone who tried to look so tough to also look so cuddly now.

But that wasn't all too important. What was important, however, was finding this Angel of Ice. A certain mentor of hers had mentioned an Iramasha of great power that might be able to help her get a weapon that won't melt at the first contact of a real foe... And when questioned, she was given the directions needed to head out. Of course, there was worry about her health when she decided to head out before fully healing into a place she's never been too before, but hey, she's dealt with worse. Each step she took led to pain within her body. Muscles and bones aching as she could feel the tender flesh of her still healing wounds pulse with her heartbeat, threatening to burst forth from the weak flesh to open up once more and ruin this new coat she had just gotten for this trip. It was heavily taxing... And it was definitely hard for her to find where the Iramasha lived.

With each passing moment, the area around her seemed to almost change. A faint fog began to roll in from seemingly nowhere as the temperature dropped, as expected. Elysia hoped that this was the right sign, a message telling her that she was nearing the Angel of Ice... She would love to finally be able to sit down and rest her already battered body, legs in intense pain with each new step. The fog was getting thicker and thicker, and trees began to get all the more sparse. Was she finally getting closer? Was she soon to arrive at the location she so desperately yearned to find? This glimmer of hope filled her with enough passion to speed up, heavy boots hitting the ground harder than before as cold hands within the fuzzy coat wrapped her only source of warmth tighter around her body, eyes squinting slightly as her eyes began to water from the cold assaulting them.

Where... Was she? This had to be it, right? She couldn't make out any direct details... But in the distance, there seemed to be some structure made out of ice near a large lake. The fog seemed to get it's thickest out within the lake, but it surrounded the area entirely. This had to be it! This had to be the home of the Angel of Ice! And if it wasn't... Well, hopefully whoever lived within that structure in the distance was kind and merciful on a human like her obviously not built for a climate such as this one. Elysia continued her trek, eyes staring straight towards the prize as each step carried her further than the last, legs riddled with pain... But hey, if they were hurting, it meant she hadn't gotten frostbite. Making the best of a crappy situation was how she even got so far, and she was just here... She couldn't give up now and go home. She had to meet her. She had to meet this great iramasha that Moonie told her about... She had to meet Cirno.

THE FRIGID HEROINES INTRO

Artist: Toby Fox - Song: CORE [EXTENDED] - Word Count: 800

Hm? Someone was approaching her domain? Interesting!

That was the first line of thought that ran through The Angel of The Ice's head as she felt a new presence walking forth into her lair. It had been a pretty rough, grueling and dull day for the Iramasha. Many training drills, paperwork, errands and hardships were beginning to take its toll on her. The Royal Guard needed to ensure their forces were equipped for the darkening times of war that the planet earth was going to be thrust into in no time flat.

There were many conflicts occurring throughout the globe and it was only a matter of time before it escalated into total world war. So, as an Elite Guard, she needed to be sure both herself, her men and their land were at the peak fighting condition. And that meant training until you bled. Scratch that. Training until the point where you believed your whole being would break in two.

And, for Cirno, that type of workout was on the double now that she had someone else depending on her being. Warm thoughts of her beloved helped pushed the frigid heroine's body well beyond it's limits; even when she wanted to give up and surrender to her body's restrictions.

But, it wasn't just for her. The initial push Kazumi gave her did help to enhance her desires, but Cirno wanted to become an angel capable of saving not only herself and her lover, but also those of the world and become a proper champion of justice. So that meant having the strength to help others with the utmost of charitable spirit. And for that reason is why the battered, beaten and worn down Elysia would find herself at the cusp of good fortune and generosity at the hands of The Angel of The Ice.

Hence, in a burst of nimble speed would this explosive bubble of winter joy leap forth from the top of the igloo and jump down before the silver haired traveler. With those crystal eyes of her gleaming through the fog, the atmosphere of her heavenly energy dissipated the mist and a sense of serene air soon oozed into the area. As all six of her frigid wings fluttered behind her, the cheerful and friendly ice fairy held out her hand and welcomed the stranger.

"Uhm, I'm not quite sure who you are, but it looks like you came here for a reason! And, since you didn't attack me, I can assume you mean well, right? If so, I welcome you to my home, Miss!"

With a huge grin plastered across her face, the voice of Cirno became quite loud and chipper as she seemed pretty happy to meet another person who had the tenacity to visit her home. As her eyes leering every which way but right, the child of the angels took notice of the weakened pulsation of energy from Elsia's body and the injuries that it quivered.

Giving no signs of hesitation whatsoever, Cirno then summoned up a sphere of white energy which infused her angelic traits within. This was so that she could focus and concentrate on trying to figure out a way to heal the traveler with her holy powers. If she could inject enough of her might into the ball, it could be served as a way to induce a mystical form of healing.

That is, through her energy and call to the heavens above, The Iramasha wished to create a basic healing spell to bring new energy, life and recovery of simple flesh wounds to the woman's being. In this way, she could show her unsuspecting goodwill and help the person out. As, to her, it seemed like they had taken quite the beaten to get here.

"I don't have your name yet, and you don't have mine, but you should take this and put it up to your chest. It'll help heal you because you look hurt, Miss. I don't want anyone dying on a place that's suppose to be fun and relaxed!"

Giving another childish snicker, the naive Cirno went along with her simplistic logic and handed the ball of healing to Elysia without any further waiting. Hopefully, if things panned out right, she would accept it and understand it was for her betterment. After that, they could then probably start to get know each other and see where things went on this wacky encounter life threw at Cirno.

"But, if you want to know my name, it's Cirno Iramasha and I'm a heroine of justice, hehehe. So I want to help you out!"

On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission] Empty Re: On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission]

Each step seemed to be getting all the more difficult as time continued on. Fingers clutching the warm, warm coat tighter as she was essentially hugging herself at this point. It was far too cold for her liking. She was always used to climates much hotter and humid than this. It took only a few more steps for something peculiar to happen.. It all happened so quickly, but a being was already in front of Elysia. She really hadn't expected the Angel of Ice to come to her, so the appearance was surprising enough to elicit a gasp from the human, taking a hastily step backwards and wincing in pain from the quick movement on her end. Her eyes stared forwards through the fuzzy coat... This girl wasn't wearing too many things that made her look warm, so she -had- to be the Angel of Ice.

This girl seemed... Happy, and rather peaceful. Just the aura she exuded forth actually helped Elysia relax a bit in place despite the sudden surprise just moments before. Her shoulders fell from their tensed position as eyes scanned her body, mainly, her wings... Were those wings made entirely of ice? It was.. Wow, she really lived up to the name as an Angel of Ice. Soon enough, her gaze fell upon the hand offered towards her. The fur coat was slowly tugged upon until Elysia's lips were visible, a faint tinge of blue due to just how cold it was for her. This was essentially the same as an islander coming into the arctic for her.

She was nice... Very nice, something that surprised Elysia. She was the type to judge a book by it's cover, and the secluded igloo definitely made her think of someone very abrasive and secretive, not wanting to talk to those of the outside... But Elysia was -welcomed- just purely for the fact that she was here with a reason, her name not even know yet. The human did know well enough that she definitely didn't want to bring any harm to the Angel, so she was left with a very small smile forming upon her lips. This was the first time she's gotten anything, so much as a welcome, without needing to give something such as her loyalty or her strength. Her hand slowly popped out of one of the massive, fuzzy sleeves of the coat, seemingly small in comparison with the piece of clothing, as she took a hold of Cirno's hand and gently shook it.

Even her hand felt a little cold... But she could still feel the calm within her, and the feeling of peace in the area. Was this the effect of an Angel? No matter the case, she was glad to see a smile returned. She really didn't want another Moonie situation of needing to prove her worth right now. Her hand slid away from Cirno's to retreat back into the warmth of her coat, puff of air escaping past her lips as she could almost see icicles in her breath from the temperature. Perhaps it really wasn't okay for her to travel out this far in such a freezing, frigid environment meant for people that were obviously not her.

Before Elysia could say a word, her eyes fell upon a strange orb being created between the fingers of the Angel of Ice. Energy condensed and brought together to form an object, an object with a power that Elysia couldn't really put her finger on as to what it did. The only way she'd know what it did is if it was told to her-... And so it was. She didn't even have to give her name, and she was offered with something to help her weakened body recover from the damages of war. She wasn't allowed to die in a place that was 'fun' and 'relaxed'... She could follow that rule. The smile on her lips from before only grew larger as she nodded her head to Cirno, fingers reaching out from the warm sleeves to grasp at the orb.

It wasn't cold... It felt a little warm and comforting actually. Was this the energy of the divine? Of what some people considered holy? It was something that... Well, she'd prefer to be with much more than all the other types she's interacted with so far. There was a slight tinge of hesitation on Elysia's face as she stared at the orb, but that worry was quickly subsided. Hands brought the sphere of energy to her chest as it was brought within her being, Elysia's eyes widening as she could feel the energy coursing through her veins. This was much different than the Juin and Chaos energy... It was. Well... Directly helping her rather than laying dormant.

Flesh that was tender and weak began to feel stronger than before, aching muscles slowly relaxing and returning to normal health as it felt like a miracle to Elysia. Eyes slowly gazed towards Cirno, her own hand being offered this time past the warm, fuzzy sleeve she was wearing.

"It's nice to meet you Cirno. My name's Elysia... That's a real fancy title, wish I had one just as nice. Moonie told me a bit about you and that I should try to meet you. He said you were strong, and powerful.. And lived in a really... REALLY cold place. It's so nice of you to help me out without asking for anything and... My request is actually really selfish, but I'm willing to do anything you want to pay it off. I'd rather not ask it now since that's... Well, pretty rude. So uhm, I guess I'd rather get to know you a little bit more and vice versa! I'm human and I'm part of the Vanguard. I guess to make up for the healing, you can ask anything you want of me too. Sorry for uh... Popping out of the blue though, I didn't want to disturb you if you were busy." Especially considering she probably had the power to tear Elysia in half. She was still so grateful over the fact that Cirno was so much nicer than literally every living thing she has met so far in her life. No offense to Moonie, but healing before fighting was always a nice thing.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Toby Fox - Song: RUINS - Word Count: 1074

...SHE MUST BE COLD!

There was something that the Angel of The Ice knew she forgot, and it suddenly dawned on her like an explosion to the face in the form of that single thought. Since the human before her was wearing a thick fuzzy jacket, it became quite obvious to the frigid Iramasha that the poor thing was probably freezing her assets off!!!

So -- that needed to be rectified!

At least warming someone up was a lot less complex than trying to heal them. All Cirno needed to do was summon a small bit of her spiritual energy. Then, with that, she could surround Elysia within an azure glow which was meant to serve as a portable heater of sorts. Being fueled by Cirno's will, this source of light would become ignited and make things as warm as a spring time evening.

Sure, she was the Angel of The ice and everything, but Angel's were also to make sure their guest were well tended to and taken care of. So, if it meant trying to summon her opposite element, she'd use that energy and her blessings to ensure the human was safe and sound and warm as can be. As, that is the power of a miracle!

"Oh, uhm, miss, I also forgot to kind of warm you up! Hehehe, sorry~!"

It was an innocent mistake, so the snow child would then stick her tongue out at Elysia in a playful manner. She was just having a bit a fun, but Cirno ultimately meant well by it!

Alas, though, The Angel of The Ice would keep her bubbly eyes fixated on the frozen human and listen to the story she had to tell. With a clap of the hands, and smile of the face, the Iramasha seemed quite happy to at least understand the name of her traveler. So, she would respond back without a single bit of delay:

"Then it is nice to meet you, Elysia!"

With another giggle had after her jovial tone of speaking, she'd keep quiet and then let the human girl speak on. As, apparently, the woman wanted a fancy title of herself. So, Cirno would tap on her chin before she'd bestow the most awesome alias to her new companion:

"Elysia: The Bronze Adventurer. Nehehe, how do you like that?!"

Chest puffed up, voice filled with confidence and eyes sparkling; Cirno seemed quite proud of herself for how she came up with that name. It stemmed from, of course, the darkened nature of her skin for the bronze part. And, as for the adventurer part, well, that came from the fact she risked life and limb just to reach her lovely little home and brave the rigid elements to do so. Thus, The Bronze Adventurer made total sense to The Angel of The Ice due to the journery it took to reach her.

Granted, the expression of total assurance and certainty would fade from Cirno's face. As, within a matter of moments, that poise and humorous atmosphere was replaced with curiosity and wonder. Why? Well, it was simple enough to answer: she knew Moonie Iramasha. If she knew that raspy fellow, then she must be here for a purpose and probably endured something savage to do so.

Since, from memories of their previous encounter, Cirno understood him to be a brute of sorts with a heavy heart beneath that exterior. So, if he sent her here, then The Angel of The Ice understood what it was she had to do. She truly had to help this person find their inner light, bring out their potential and help guide them towards the way of happiness, self-reliance and release.

For these reasons and more is why Cirno would then wag her finger and protest the notion that the human needed to pay her off for anything. All of this was done simply out of the openness of Cirno's heart, generosity of her spirit and desire to see lost mind get better with the help of her angelic blessings.

"You don't have to pay me back for anything! That is simply what a heroine of justice does."

With a self assured nod of the head, Cirno affirmed herself and continued on with her speech of sorts.

"It isn't all about the fighting, but also about being there for someone when they obviously need it! And since you looked beaten and worn down, I gave you the benefit of the doubt because I wanted to help you, miss!"

Giving a smile as bright as the sun itself, her intentions were true and noble both in her mind and to the reality of the situation. Though, even with that being the case, The Snow Child was still curious as to what brought the human here besides the fact that Moonie guided the human to The Angel's domain. Therefore, she would indeed peer deeper as to the story of Elysia.

"I don't mind. Tell me your request! I will do what I can as a friend to help you out! I am a friend to all those in need and you look like you could use a lot of that!"

Snickering a bit, Cirno then poked the face of the somewhat reserved and anxious human. There was still a tension that the Angel could sense within, and she seemed interesting in breaking that bit by bit to show her that the world wasn't entirely glum, doom and beat-downs. It seemed as if Elysia experianced some troubling times, and given how rough things were in the world, The Frigid Fairy could only imagine what horrors she had seen.

So, in light of that believed fact, she would act as a gentle spirit and hopefully soothe the waves of uneasiness that were crashing about the shores of Elysia's soul. It is, after all, what angels were meant to do. Guide, protect and ensure the safety of all living things!

"And don't worry: I'm never to busy to help someone in need. I've got all the time in the world to help ya, miss."

Having spoken that list bit, she'd bop Elysia lightly across the head, giggle and await to see what her struggles were in this twisted thing they call a life's venture.

On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission] Empty Re: On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission]

Warmth. Wonderful, lovely, comforting warmth... Finally Elysia felt -warm- in the frigid part of the Earth. It was all thanks to Cirno's gracious gift of her miracle granting powers... Or at least, that's what Elysia saw them as, and they could very well be made just for that. The energy surrounded Elysia as each breath she took no longer let out a puff of cold air, but rather, let out a normal, invisible breath. It was wonderful for the human now, wonderful enough that she even reached up to her hoodie to pull it off, silver hair smooshed to her head and a bit nappy, but she wasn't really complaining. It was finally warm now, and she could really relax in a place like this now. A big, happy smile was given towards Cirno once more as she quickly bowed her head in thanks.

"It's fine Cirno, thank you for the warmth, I'm not really used to the cold."

A bit ironic for the person who spent so long searching for the Angel of Ice, but hey, things could only go up from here, right? Cirno was kind, Elysia was happy, and Moonie sent her off in the right path. Another nod was given to Cirno as the proper greetings were exchanged between the two of them. Next was a few moments of silence, Elysia left with not all too much to say as Cirno seemed to be in thought, even tapping her chin for emphasize before a title was bestowed upon Elysia... The Bronze Adventurer? That... She liked that. Her once joyous smile got a bit cocky now, a single eyebrow being furrowed.

"The Bronze Adventurer? I... Well honestly it's a lot better than human or rookie, so I'll take it~! I actually like it a lot, thank you, oh great heroine of justice."

She could see why Moonie would have known her, the personality was something that no rightful being could ever dislike. It was actually quite satisfying to have in a world like this. Elysia was certainly grateful there was someone like her out here. But, with the nice formalities out of the way, she did come here for a reason. It was a few reasons actually... One of them was a personal reason involving her equipment, another was a joint reason between her and Moonie involving her training... And the final reason was from Moonie himself, involving her fate. It was a rather heavy topic, so she knew which one she'd save for last in the order of telling Cirno. Before she could even bring up the topic, Cirno spoke once more in the bubbly, cheerful voice.

...Nothing.... Nothing to pay her back? That... It was easy to tell that it was a hard concept to grasp in the human's mind due to how she's lived her life this entire time for all of her... Well, life. She was used to favors for favors, items for items, currency for services but... Nothing? Nothing at all? Even in the name of justice? It was... It was just surprising to her, and her jaw dropped a little just from how absurd it seemed to her. When Cirno explained her reasoning it... Well, it made sense. It was sort of similar to how she felt at times, wanting to help those who needed it without asking for anything in return... It... Well, she never thought that it'd ever apply to her in the receiving end, so she was left a little awe-struck.

Elysia was happy to return the smile to Cirno, the Bronze Adventurer already had a large amount of respect for her that only grew by the minute. And with all the time in the world, it gave her the time needed to organize her thoughts. Before even opening her mouth, the woman rather plainly flopped right on backwards, landing on the ground on her behind, legs crossing over one another as she pulled her warm, fuzzy coat over herself. She didn't need it but... It was still unbearably soft.

"Well... I have three things I gotta ask of you, you're free to deny them all if it's too much, I'm just... Still grateful for how kind your being. The first is something I'm sure you can guess, Moonie wanted to send me over to be trained a little bit and taught more life lessons since I'm on the Way of the Fist and... Well... I want to use it to help people and fight for those that can't or never got a chance too fight. It's sort of been a dream since I was little, and that's what kept me moving on for all these years, even after the pits."

"The second thing is a personal... Selfish thing. I heard you can make weapons and stuff as an Iramasha and... Well... In the fight that got me as hurt as you saw, the guy sort of... Well... Uh... Maybe accidentally sort of melted my only piece of equipment to protect my fists while fighting someone. I just sort of hit him and it just melted right off so yeah. Y-You can completely ignore this request, it's totally selfish!"

And... Well, she took a deep breath for this last one as fingers slipped over to the front of her coat, starting to slowly undo some of the buttons that kept the fabric together. It was slow and... Well, Cirno could tell there was hesitation with every movement. Slowly, her coat was pulled asides just enough to reveal her stomach. As expected, she had a bellybutton with the tummy looking flat. She had to stay in shape... But there was a tattoo spanning the entire portion of her tummy, looking almost tribal in terms of design as it etched outwards.

"The third is from Moonie... I have a Juin in me. A man named Kamui put it in me saying that it'd help me in my times of need, and it's really the only reason I'm standing here now after that fight... But even I felt it while using it. It tries to corrupt your body once you get too weak or use it long enough that you become dependent... Then it just... I don't know. It feels like it would take over. Moonie hates it and says it doesn't want to help, and I see that now. It just... It's here to harm me for a selfish goal. It isn't here to help at all, only to survive off of it's host. Me."

The energy from this tattoo was chi. Pure chi from a Suiguran, one named Kamui.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Toby Fox - Song: ANOTHER MEDIUM - Word Count: 1175

Good, good. It was nice to see that The Bronze Adventurer was beginning to warm up a bit and loosen up. Cirno could tell this by how her breathing eased and by how she began shedding of her thick winter layers. But, most of all, the important thing was that she was seen smiling and that is all The Angel of The Ice wanted to see on her face! So, in return, she gave a huge grin and nodded to affirm Elysia's words.

"Yes, yes! Not everyone is really used to the cold air here. I keep forgetting that, hehehe."

Yet again, The Angel of The Ice would giggle and stick her tongue out at Elysia as the two began to become relaxed with one another. And with the title that was bestowed upon her, it seemed that happiness within the human's spirit seemed to grow even larger than before. As there seemed to be a bit of confidence and boldness in that cocked smirk of hers. Which, compared to the person she saw before, was a total turn around and signaled to Cirno that she was indeed making progress with this spirit!

"It's not a problem, Bronze Adventurer! You earned that title with how hard you worked to get here. Hehehe."

As chipper and cheery as ever before, the tone of The Snow Child's voice was elated as she gave off another small fit of childish laughter at Elysia. These snickers would only grow louder as The Frozen Angel witnessed her new friend fall flat on her behind; seemly flabbergasted from what Cirno could tell. It was an amusing sight to see and she offered The Bronze Adventurer a way up in the form of a puffy, feathery pillow. This holy pillow began forming on her behind before she hit the cold, hard ground and served as a cushion to keep her from tearing up that cute lil' posterior of hers.

Once her butt was settled in, Cirno would then forge her own ice cloud and hover as she squinted each of her eyes and paid close attention to the words that the human had to say. With a sagely nod of her head, The Angel allowed Elysia to carry on with what she needed to say when it came to these three request she so yearned for.

After she sat Indian style on her frozen cloud, that's when the light behind Cirno's eyes seemed to glisten and shine as she heard the reasons behind The Bronze Adventure's desire to want to grow stronger. They were somewhat similar to The Angel's own conquest to be a champion of justice. As, they both seemed to share a quest to what to do better for the world and those who live in it. To help the defenseless, the weak and those who seek help from those with the power to provide blessing was the utmost of pure intentions in The Frigid Fairy's frame of mind.

Therefore, with a beaming smile did she give her approval in the form of a thumbs up.

"For your first request? Say no more! You are already a champion justice for having endured this much and I'll be sure to make that bit of yourself shine more with training! You have my word!"

With that much settled, it was confirmed that The Bronze Adventurer was now locked in for a divine session of training with the angelic runt. There was no turning back at this point and Cirno hoped her resolve would hold true for the lessons, techniques and methods she would bestow upon this new companion.

This then transitioned into her next request which seemed more than doable. Now that she was beginning to understand more where this traveler was coming from, it would be but an ease of mind to craft a weapon befitting her style of justice. So, again, Cirno would raise her other arm and give a thumbs up to otherwise confirm her approval for such a request.

"It's not selfish at all. Your hearts desire is pure and all you want to do is help. What's wrong with asking for the resources to do that? Nothing. So I will help you on that to, ally of justice!"

Giving another firm nod of the head to affirm their choices in life, Cirno was more than convinced this spirit chose the right place to reach out for assistance.

Although, it seemed that this next request was going to be quite the dramatic and intense one. The Angel of The Ice could tell due to the way she seemed to be taking a deep breath and relaxing herself. So, The Iramasha would squint her eyes real tight and listen in.

From the sounds of her dilemma it seemed as if someone had injected her with a toxin which corroded her spirit. Sure, it gave her power, but at the cost of rotting out The Bronze Adventurer's soul. So, it was pretty straight forward and clear: that thing needed to be purified and removed post-haste.

"That's all you needed to say, Elysia. I'll agree to all these terms so long as you stay the path of a true heroine. I'll be sure to make your spirit shine like the sun itself if need be! You have my word!"

Puffing out her chest, Cirno then slammed her right fist against and gave an affirming head nod yet again to shove her conviction. And, in that moment, she had already made up her mind: this list was going to go in reverse. The third request would be the easiest to do, followed by the second and then finally the third. So, in order to carry forth this quest, The Angel of The Ice pointed at Elysia and uttered these words:

"Heh, let's get down and dirty then, Champion! I'm going to need you to allow me permission to help cleanse that yucky stuff inside your spirit. If you give me that, I'll be able to handle the next bit easy-peasy!"

There wasn't the slightest bit of doubt behind her face or words that indicated Cirno could not handle this task. It didn't matter what complicated and sinister aura lurked deep within her spirit, if it was for the righterous cause of good, she would see it through to the end and remove it.

Henceforth, as she tapped into her holy power, a burning white circle would emerge around the two of them. This would serve as a bridge to connect the two souls as one so that Cirno may transfer her assets into the soul and body of Elysia in order to begin her spiritual cleansing.

"I'm ready: are you?"

Depending on her answer, the training of a lifetime could commence and the surgery to remove this devilish force within the human could ensue.

On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission] Empty Re: On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission]

What she was sitting on wasn't hard ground but... Well. Something soft, something else to bring further comfort to the weary human. Her seat was taken quite happily as she relaxed further. Soon, words began to spill forth from her lips of the requests, and the first two seemed to be accepted. Smiles were given, and even a thumbs up was given to let her know that everything really was alright. For the price of nothing but the actions she took to arrive, she was already given so much. Enough that she felt almost bad for everything she was receiving... A single moment of thought between a pause led to knowing one way to pay Cirno back far into the future. To use what she obtains from Cirno for the greater good of the world. It's what the both of them wanted, so it did ease her mind a bit when considering the kind actions.

The final request definitely made Elysia anxious for the answer from Cirno however. This was something big from a being she sensed being around the same power level. They both surpassed her easily, and both held abilities that were phenomenal. She wasn't sure if Cirno would want to accept and tempt fate with the Juin, it just seemed risky in her own mind. Once again, kindness prevailed as the angelic part of the Angel of Ice's being shined forth once more. She -did- accept. A large smile formed across Elysia's lips once more as the only request in return was that she stay on the path she knew she'd never stray off of. Her whole life has been on the receiving end of tyranny and unjust rulings, so it was in her core being to fight back against those who only wished to harm or bury others below them for a boost ahead.

Plus she would never stray off the path, so why would Elysia ever think of it? "Thank you so much. I promise with all of my being that I will never even so much as think about stepping off of this path. I've done so much to continue on, and lost almost everything. Turning back at any point would be absolutely ridiculous!"

Soon enough, Elysia was directly pointed at as Cirno's rather jovial voice spoke once more. A bit more hesitation was sensed within Elysia, not due to her distrusting Cirno, but rather that she called it 'yucky stuff'. It reminded her a bit of Selia back at the Vanguard's base... The only difference was Selia had trouble opening a pickle jar while Cirno seemingly didn't have any issue opening up someone's soul to try and purge them of a sinister being hanging on and draining their will ever so slowly. A quick nod was given towards Cirno, her permission to go through with this. Despite the bit of hesitation felt... It was more Elysia hesitating more so than her not having faith in Cirno. She had called it yucky when... It caused her a great amount of pain when being implanted into her being, and it already had it's hold deep inside of her. What if it didn't want to leave? The thoughts began to flash throughout her mind of how everything could go wrong...

But she still ended up remaining still for Cirno, not attempting to squirm away or escape as she still wanted this outcome to happen. Slowly, Elysia stood up from the soft seat she was given. She wanted to stand for this. Energy began to swirl around the both of them as Cirno created the bridge, the link between their souls. This was going to hurt, she could already feel it... But this had to be done, it was something that worried Moonie, and something that had begun to worry her greatly. It gave her power, it let her survive... But she could -feel- it's reach going farther than it should at times during that fight, something that she never wanted to feel again in her life. Her warm, fuzzy coat was stripped from her form entirely, falling upon the ground as the rest of her body was seen.

Her usual attire underneath was obviously there, jacket, crop-top, short shorts... And bandages all along her legs, a majority of her arms, her shoulders, and her abdomen, just below her breasts. The only spot not covered was her stomach, making this all the more easier. She probably didn't need the bandages now, but taking any more time just to remove them was silly when something else much more prevalent was about to take place. Something that would set her on one path for the rest of her limited life as a fleshy human. A human with only flesh and bones to keep her truly animated when compared to other spiritual races out there. For her short life, this one act would show her the path to justice.

"Yeah. I'm ready... This is probably going to hurt a lot, isn't it?"

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Hellkite Drake - Song: Heartache - Word Count: 1064

Once that large smile of Elysia was shown, Cirno gave an equal one back to show that this was indeed the right path they were venturing down upon. Therefore, she began to channel and focus into her well of blessings, miracles and holy prowess within in order to bring forth this radical change in The Bronze Adventurer's life. If anything was going to stop this tool of taint, it was going to be something that could cleanse, purify and make life anew. It is why she understood that this creature of corruption was going to need to be expunge with her chasten touch.

It may not be easy, and it may be painful: but was the path of doing what is right ever was? This would just be another test and chance to prove her endurance in order to see if she truly could withstand the hardships that would be put down the route of a heroine.

"Let's do it then, Elysia. It's going to be scary, yeah, but I'll be right by your side and I will do everything in my power to make sure you get through this."

There was anxiety that was leaking forth from the embodiment of Elysia. Cirno could tell by her slow nods, tense stance and eyes filled with doubt. However, that was all right with her. Everyone gets terrified when venturing down the path of the unknown. What makes the character is how one chooses to react to this fear: would she be the type to cower and tread away, or the type to raise up, face her fears and become brave for it?

From her response, it seemed that the latter proved to be true and Cirno was proud of her for it. Which is why, when Elysia accepted the help of The Angel, did her overflowing light then begin to churn and constrict around the tan abdomen of The Bronze Adventurer. In that moment, a flow of serenity and calm was meant to be induced into her being. Similar to a supernatural sedative, this was suppose to relax and ease the woman's body for what was about to come.

As, to The Iramasha, there was no doubt that this was going to be a rough ride to remove this parasite from her spirit. Therefore, as she began tapping into her divine reach, the human may very well begin to feel a heavy pressure weighing down on her body. It was a feeling that felt as if this force was attempting to devour, break and drain away the essence of Elysia. Sensations of doubt, terror and death could perhaps be induced in this movement as this creature was so tethered and attached to her soul that Cirno found initial difficulty in trying to remove it.

Whomever crafted this had to be an expert in the field of magic because the seals which were placed on her soul were locked tight. It made The Angel of The Ice get serious, flutter her wings and transition into a more stern and focused expression as this was getting intense. One wrong slip, one miscalculation and one error was all that it took to turn this from a day of transformation to a day of ruin.

As memories of her battle in Australia played in the mind of Cirno, she understood all too well the risk of tampering with someones soul entailed. Since, on that day, The Heroine of The Ice turned into the villain and broke the spirit of a human she was meant to protect. On that day, she could not save someone from their own sins and they suffered for it. All because of her own selfish desire on that day to become the glory hero and save the day for her own purposes of fame, valor and strength.

Which is why, on this day -- it was different. She wasn't doing it for the notoriety. She wasn't doing it to prove her strength. And she wasn't doing it to even so much as be a hero. As, beyond all this, the motives behind Cirno doing this is because she believed it was the right thing to do and to be a good angel was to be a charitable, open and loving spirit that help those who ask for help. So, beyond her aspirations was an honest devotion to want to move away from the mistakes of her past and make a brighter future for those spirits her soul touches and empowers.

Henceforth, for this just ideal is why she had to believe, against all uncertainty, that this plan would work for Elysia. Ergo, as her heart synchronized and felt the impulse of a fair cause, her angelic prowess awakened and made an intense surge of power pulsate throughout the area. As the wind grew wild, thousands of particles of light danced around the two and formed a beautiful display of frenzy spirit as she attempted to purge this menace from her spirit.

Now, at this point is where The Bronze Adventurer may then begin to have doubts, as this is where the pain, second thoughts and absolute terror would begin to nag and grasp at the edges of the human's consciousness. Yet, if she was firm and strong, believed in this path and kept her will strong -- she would make it. It was going to be hard, so incredibly hard, but the light was just around the corner of this seemly infinite wall of darkness.

"Stay with me...."

Those three words would be all Cirno needed to say as her celestial powers were in the midst of removing this parasite. This is where the fatal end may come if things did not go as planned, or if Elysia was not strong enough to resist these temptations of terror which lurked in the depths of soul. As the eyes of Cirno became devoured by a white light, The Human would then feel a gentle warmth touching her from the veil of darkness within and it would be the spiritual hand of The Iramahsa telling her:

"Everything was going to be alright."

What would come of this would now be in the hands of Elysia.

On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission] Empty Re: On a Quest for the Angel of Ice [Hero Quest Mission]

This was gonna suck. Big time. This was essentially asking for someone to rip out a thing that... Well, has become a part of her. She didn't have any real way to prepare for this, just like the time where it was put in with the element of surprise added unto it. This was... It really showed the difference in people who existed in the world, as this reminded her that some people she's met are really really shitty... Even if under the guise of being a helper. For one, Cirno didn't force her to deal with getting groped just to get trained, nor a kiss stolen... And seemed happy to tell her about the things she planned to do, rather than just slamming her lam against the tanned stomach that was fully exposed.

You know, that was really damn shady now that she looked back on it, but that was in the past. Now? Now was the present, and she had to prepare herself with as little ways as she had. With motivation and comforting words from the Angel of Ice, the being so kind enough to help her, she knew she could do it. She's went through worse things. She survived having the damn thing implanted and not a single ounce of help was given then... With someone right by her, it should be a breeze compared to just... Was it a month ago? Just somewhat recently happened.

Power. That was what seemed to leak from Cirno as she began to purify Elysia. She didn't know why but... This pressure didn't quite scare her as much as it should. It was uncomfortable, horrifically uncomfortable as her body tensed even further than before, lower lip bitten by her own teeth as a way of coping with the sensations going throughout her body at this point and time. This was only the start, the same as Cirno just poking around to find the parasite deep within her spiritual being. It felt... Wrong. She felt as if she were being violated a second time through an unnatural energy invading her soul. It felt horribly wrong to her, with every faint tug upon the innards of her soul, every tough yank to try and yank the Juin free.

Fingers began to ball into fists as the pressure began to increase, intensity of each and every passing moment only growing and growing. The Juin was found within her, and Cirno seemed ready to start digging into the being to pry it free from her body. Only now did she begin to feel pain. Every time she has felt bodily pain, she's usually remained somewhat standing, but now... It was so much more different for her. The Juin deep within her did not want to escape. Instead, it tried to hold on, grasping tightly unto her being as the seals were tampered with. Every passing moment began to induce the same pain she had when it was being enlodged within her being.

Her blood felt as if it were boiling, vital organs twisting and churning as spirit and body did not work together. They almost seemed to refuse one another with how this felt, Elysia's eyes widening as she realized something horrible. This wasn't the same pain. Her blood felt hotter and hotter, her entire body trembling as she bit down harder upon her lower lip, teeth digging into tender flesh as blood was drawn to drip down from her chin, and even then, her biting did not let up, only intensifying the longer she was forced to bare through this. Fingers squeezed themselves into fists as tight as possible, arms shaking as did her knees. It hurt. She hadn't dealt with worse than this before.

The longer Cirno continued to assault the Juin, the further it felt like it was burrowing into Elysia's spirit. Was this the case? Possibly, but it certainly felt like this to Elysia, a howl of pain escaping past her lips as she felt straight forwards. Left leg giving out as she fell right unto her knee, entire body slumping forwards as she was hunched over the ground and kneeling, fists slamming against the ground to try and hold herself as view of her face was blocked. Her eyes were wide and she was already sweating from how hard her body was being strained and tested despite a lack of movement from the flesh itself. The woman was panting, struggled, heavy breaths coming forth from her pained lungs as the sound taht came forth from her showed just how painful it was for the human. She was wheezing horribly, worse than a life-long smoker.

Her vision even began to blur, corrupting energies within her attempting to burrow deeper within her, attempting to claim it's hold against her soul... It was starting to get too excessive for her to handle. This 'chi' infused with magic was destroying her. Tearing through any will full attempts she made at trying to stand up, entire body shaking in place as every movement brought searing pain throughout her. Not only did the feelings of blood boiling get worse, it was almost as if her flesh was bubbling from heat as well... And when Elysia stared at her hand, that was the case... At least in her mind. The pain was strong enough to induce hallucinations for her, a feeble attempt at her mind justifying the pain and why it had existed. Despite knowledge of her soul, the brain could only handle so much, forcing her to see horrific views of her own flesh bubbling from being boiled.

Each struggled breath of air from her got worse and worse, her body only kept up and off of the ground through her arms and leg's refusal to give up. Fists dug into the ground as a single knee kept her lower half from falling, her right leg laying mostly upon the ground as her eyes stared towards the ground. She couldn't fall here. She -can't-. She has so much more to do with her life. So many others to see. So many people that needed to be saved. So many disgusting, vile, horrific beings that only wanted harm... She had to live. She had to -fight-. With her determination only growing, a loud scream was emitted past her lips, taking most of her being to produce as her body remained resilient against every attempt the Juin made to bring her down to the ground.

She was completely unaware of her surroundings at the moment, the only knowledge available to her was the fact that Cirno was still there... And speaking. Slowly, Elysia's head began to rise, eyes staring straight towards Cirno's face as there seemed to be tears streaming down the sides of her cheeks. The only other time she cried from pain was when the Juin was inserted... And her first day in the pit. What she wouldn't give to relive her first day in the Pits instead of feeling this pain rattle throughout her body and force her to remain immobilized. Despite the pain, despite the loud thumping of her heart filling up her mind, she could hear what Cirno had said. 'Stay with me'. Stay with her... She... It was hard to even think at this point.

Her mind felt ready to shatter from the pain she was feeling. She wasn't ready. She never felt anything like this before, and it made her want to curl up and die... But she couldn't do that. Not now. Not ever. She had too much riding upon her shoulders. Cirno's kindness. Moonie's teachings. Hayden's companionship. Selia's friendship... Kamui's 'gift'. She wanted it out of her... So badly. Her vision began to blur as she was unable to even see Cirno's face, her own looking much more pained and twisted when compared to just moments ago. She couldn't even see at this point, only a faint haze of blue and white in a massive expanse of black, of her vision failing her. In reality... Her eyes were bloodshot, the whites of her eyes starting to slowly turn red as her entire being was being stressed past it's normal points of endurance.

Something kept telling her to keep fighting. Something... Something was screaming at her to never give up. To keep fighting... That there is an end to the tunnel. It wasn't Cirno... This voice arrived just moments before her power seemed to reach it. It was the one person that Elysia striven to become, striven to meet... Striven to finally be as strong as them. This woman within her mind was foggy and hazy, but it was clear what she wanted as well. For Elysia to keep fighting, for her to never give up. The Pits were the first steps needed to ascend, and this was another stone to be tossed underneath her feet. 'Keep Fighting Elysia'. Those words... They did much more than one would think on the woman's nearly shattered mind, another howl of pain escaping past her lips as her being shook once more.

Her soul seemed to be flaring outwards, pure spiritual pressure fighting -against- the Juin to the best of it's abilities, trying to assist Cirno. This wasn't intentional at all... But instead, a product of her Determination. It was her soul's way of informing Cirno that she was fighting as hard as she possibly could, as hard as she ever could, as hard as anyone can against a corruption such as this one. Along with her soul... Another energy laying dormant within her flared outwards. It was Chaos Energy. Something foreign to Iramasha only. It obviously wasn't hers... It was Moonie's. This energy was unable to to anything but assist Elysia as best as it could, flaring out with her own reiatsu's strength to challenge the Juin, to fight back against it, to tell Kamui that he could kindly fuck off and stay away from her body for -good-.

'Everything was going to be alright...' She... She didn't think this. But she still knew it. It was a message, a sign from the other foreign power within her. The Angel of Ice's own power reaching out to her from deep within the darkness, trying to grant her the freedom she needed from this parasite. All of her spiritual energy was already working against the Juin... But with Cirno's nearby, it seemed to only fight harder and harder against the Juin. Lashing out with all of it's strength, battling against this -thing- that did not belong, nor ever will belong within her. Every passing moment brought more pain to the already shattering Elysia, but every moment empowered her will to live. Her will to fight. Her will to be free from -anyone's- entrapment, breaking free from the fetters of those above her.

"LEAVE MY BODY!"

It was her last scream, her last act of defiance against the abomination within her as every part of her being was fighting it with the help of Cirno... If it weren't for this Angel, this miracle walking on earth... Elysia may not be able to even so much as attempt to challenge it. But with her help... She could fight, and she could resist the Juin's temptations. More and more of her reiatsu flared outwards in an attempt to pry the Juin free with the Heroine of Justice's own power. No longer will Elysia be the puppet of anyone or anything.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Minstrel - Song: ラジエスセシア - Word Count: 1822

The winds were howling with the screaming force of change as there was a monstrous amount of sinful energy lashing about in the atmosphere. Swirls of shade, blood and gold illuminations danced around the pair like a violent storm of animosity ready to strike each of the two spirits down with it's vile intent. Yet, even in the midst of turbulent chaos, The Angel Of The Ice remained ever still and persistent in her quest to remove this repulsing parasite from the depths of Elysia's body.

This beast was fighting her at every twist and turn and causing the utmost of anguish to the mortal vessel of the human in the process. Cirno could outright feel the lashes, slashes and gashes that were digging deep down into the spirit of her pupil. There were screams of pain being uttered out, stress being placed upon vital organs and an utter sense of will being tainted.

But still -- each of them fought against it. No matter how much it hurt, the alternative was much, much worse. They had to face this head first and come out victorious. As, no matter what, The Frozen Angel was determined to turn the tides and learn how to save a life. That is the only thing that thumped greatly within her heart's desire in this terrifying moment.

She could not fail this person who placed their entire faith in the hands of this celestial. This celestial -- whom was suppose to the messenger of the holy spirit. No. She would not lose this battle again. For this reason is why Cirno would then grip the hand of Elysia as tightly as possible. This was to further ensure her presence was here and everything was going to be OKAY so long as she held on to that yearning to whether this cyclone of torment upon her spiritual and physical self.

"Stay strong. Please. Don't let go.....stay with me...."

That single plea came in a distressed tone of voice which seemed to indicate that Cirno herself was in pain. But, it was not nearly the same anguish that Elysia was under going. This was a mental pain which nagged at the side of The Angel. There were echoes of doubt which lay deep within her soul from the eye of her mind whom saw all of The Angel.

And, with this internal self having witnessed The Celestial's feats throughout her growth, this embodiment of disbelief and skepticism questioned if she ever had even saved a life until then that did not require the use of violence. As it saw her as nothing more than a creature whom could only break, destroy and let despair consume her soul. After all, it even took the means of metaphysical sealing to otherwise keep her broken psyche in tact from how much her will was so out of wack. There was so much hopelessness, sadness and fear of the world behind that ridiculous light the Angel yearned for.

So, just what could this crippled excuse for an angel do to save another soul? Was this truly out of her goodwill, or was it another excuse to fuel and satisfy her ego?

No. It was not. It could not be.

With eyes tightening, The Angel attempted to cast these thoughts of her shadow aside and push forward. She was doing what she could change, and there had been times in this progression where she had fallen back. In fact, even within the future, this holy spirit could see herself relapsing.

But -- even so -- the perseverance to never give up still surged wildly within her soul. Even if it was so much as a faint flicker of flame, she would try to hold on to it and use as a way to find her saving grace. No matter if it was futile, this Angel would press forward against the pain and try for as long as her constitution could hold out.

And even if this desire was selfish, what did matter? What did it matter if she wanted to help others to feel good about herself? So what? If she was producing charitable acts into the world which assisted others, just what did it matter if they were from her self-admiration? They still changed the lives of others and that would be enough to save this life that so hung in the balance of Cirno's hands.

So, despite the frigid tears which trickled down the cheeks of The Iramasha from such inner conflict, this Angel of The Light would not give up on her quest to become a proper figure of righteousness. It mattered not if her heart quaked with such sobbing, there was a hardened resolve thriving within and this angelic spirit had awoken the deepest depths of her holy prowess.

And, by turning this source of inner grace into power, she would then be able to command and order it to tap into the sanctity of her own soul and Elysia's. Then, by using this faith which glared so brightly within the each of them, the Jun was beginning to become cleansed and this monster was being vaporized. With a prayer to the high heavens given by The Angel, she'd whisper this soft appeal to the divine:

"I understand I have not been the best angel my whole life. I know I have not lived this creed long enough to fully claim it for my own. And I know I don't call for something above my own power enough...but now is different."

As the tears continued to fall from her face like droplets of rain, the voice of The Angel still remained pure and steady. Even as her eyes misted and face reddened, the expression still remained stern and focused. And this was because -- she was ascending. Her metaphysical self was transforming and growing into her proper essence in the form of her adult state of being.

The stature of the Iramasha shifted from the height of a mere child, to the proper five foot five footing of a young woman. And, as she muttered her prayer further, the short hair of the Angel flourished, grew and extended to the sides of her body. All the while, her hips became fully figured and bosom extended to give her the proper development of a maiden.

Having now matured facially to resemble such a ripened and matured being, she was in her true essence. And, while holding on to this genuine persona, The Angel of The ice could complete her incantation to the heavens and finish it in earnest. With a tender, yet so firm voice, these words were uttered out in the hopes of finding that inner power to overcome:

"Please, listen to my prayer and give me the strength to save this spirit. I want to be given my wings...and I want to be able to save others. Please....that is all I ask heavenly father...."

And with that, the prayer was finished.

Yet, it is at this moment where the most pain would funnel into the human. Absolute terror, torture and doubt would come in this time. And, if she could just make it through this, the worse could be over.

So, The Angel of The Ice would put on a brave face as the embodiment of Elysia began to scream and howl out in internal anguish. It hurt Cirno to see someone as sweet as her in pain, but it mattered not in the long run. She needed to be able to put an end to this so this gentle human could no longer feel such terrible sensations.

Therefore, she fed from both of their wills and began the final crux of removing this bloodsucker from out of the human's body.

"Be gone, you foul beast. In the name of the light, I banish thy to the abyss and purge ye' to become purified and reborn anew without such taint."

Releasing that enchantment into the air was the final release needed in order to rip apart the bonds of slavery which shackled Elsyia for as long as they did. In an eruption of light, a beam of white energy would flare up from out of the abdomen of the human and go surging into the sky like a shooting star.

Following that instant of time, the Jun would be torn away from her body and purified by the holy prowess of high heaven being guided under the control of Cirno's astral hand. Thus, the Jun would be destroyed and it's energy eradicated outright. That was the will of The Angels in motion.

But, alas, the job was not finished yet.

Something as powerful as that object being so suddenly ripped from a soul -- was not good. If not replaced soon, further ill fate could fall upon Elysia.

Therefore, Cirno infused large volumes of her energy into the embodiment of the human. However, it wasn't just that. No. She was making a core. And this core was forged from elements of her energy, Elysia's and each of their determination and will wrapped together in the blanket of an angel's purifying and holy light.

This cluster of energy would serve to make the prowess of the human eons stronger than she was before the Jun invaded her body. With the amount of strife pressed against her soul, and the volume of will behind her determination to live, the far reaching power of Cirno's willpower could produce a sphere of light within which fed off the livid emotions of this night and transform it into at a tangible source of material power.

Which, under The Angel's sealing, could serve to make her spiritual prowess reach new heights after this day was done. For, when she would awake the new morning, there would be a far chance that her strength would rival that of a novice Vice Captain (2-5). Granted, it would be quite difficult to control and would require refining with Cirno's training, but the raw power would undoubtedly be there.

Thus, as the light of infusion faded, as to would the dawn of despair. So, in this moment of falling climax, The Angel of The Ice would place her hand upon the cheek of Elysia nad stare down at her with a gentle smile. Then, in three simple words, she would pose a question to the human:

"Are you alright?"

The worse -- was hopefully over.

And -- if there was such a thing as faith -- she'd pray the girl would still be with her.

If she could, then perhaps, maybe, there was a chance to redeem herself and start over a new with this profound sense of self discovered.
