THE KING OF NOTHING

KAKINE YUUDESHI
壊れた魂

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 727

The winter had just begun here in Karakura Central, the outskirt of the city and further reaching areas were frosted over. The cold air had only invaded the towns and main city in recent days, but it was a harsh and quick invasion. Cars would be frosted in the morning, even not opening entirely for some folks that worked throughout the city. On the other hand, most households were now blasting their heat throughout the area. Family after family now felt like it was too chilly in order to simply keep it off. With that being said, something entirely different could be said of the Yuudeshi hosuehold.

Despite the stature that most Yuudeshi's held within Karakura, most didn't really know their hectic and odd living style. Within the Yuudeshi compound, most of those who had a quarters within the area were never home. The big wigs always needed something to be going on, so their quarters were either fully occupied or never occupied. Even those that were younger or of less stature were known for going along with this practice. The Yuudeshi compound was also one that most did not find comfort in, when it was infact not a Yuudeshi in question. Some quarters were freezing, while others were blistering hot. The advanced living area was meant to accommodate everyone to what they liked, for Kakine however, it was far different.

Kakine Yuudeshi wandered the cold, dead forests of Karakura now that the cold air had swarmed its area. Leaves sat dead among the forest floor as some trees slowly filled with beautiful reds and oranges, while others, contained nothing at all. It was an odd sight, so much death and life in one area was normal for Karakura, if not the entire world. War had broken out once again among the surface of Earth and Kakine had witnessed it first hand, as he always did. Flashbacks of World War Three flashed among the man's mind as he leaned against the thick bark of a nearby oak tree. The empty forest spoke to him, reminding of the death that he had spread for years and years. The King of Nothing was quite a picture, one that most didn't understand too well. Compassion, but anger was always something he could hold hand in hand. War had taught him much, one of those lessons he would never forget, however.

"Is this all really needed?"

The arrogant man's voice echoed throughout the quiet forest as he let out a soft sigh, rubbing his nose as energy began to slowly seep from his pores. As the energy pooled above him, he watched the cold wind send leaves flying in all directions. The cold was only growing to grow harsher as the minutes would pass. Karakura would grow colder and colder until night turned to day, which seemed to be relatively soon. The black sky, littered with artificial stars went on for as far as the eye could see. It's infinite void soon became emptier as Kakine's vision was obscured from a large stand that had formed around him.

The stand, labeled with a simple kanji for "Quiet", was relatively small in size and covered two feet of space. Containing that of a small chair and a roof that could protect the male from snow and other weather, the stand itself was far from flimsy and half-heartedly made. The thick wood of the small encasement blocked the cold wind from wrapping itself around Kakine's slender form, the man's jacket and beanie now covering the male's skin relatively tight. The energy that was previously pouring from his body had subsided, the real subsistence the Stand was made of being unforeseen to those that were not watching the Yuudeshi.

"It feels as if this day will never come to an end, will it Mizuki?"

Kakine's voice was quiet, speaking the name of is peaceful wife as he stared downward, watching his pale hands move from left to right. He was a man reminded of his sins, something he seemed to only consider special to him. There was nothing he could latch onto greater than that of which he has done. The killer within him was far from gone, and would soon emerge once more.

Head Hunters[Private/Battle] Headerimage2_zps7c673d3a

The brisk wind whistled stirring the autumn leaves yet to be crushed by human adventure. Just as they were thought to survive for another second they crushed beneath the a pair of brown leather boots and turned to mush as they departed. Mixing in with the frosted dew of the night that was also morphed into a liquid from the friction of boot's sole and terrain beneath. Slowly but surely the under dressed Quincy made her way through the woods. Her foot steps were light, but enough to cause the damp leaves to crunch if they were stale enough. She avoided them with all costs, but the bristling of the limbs and branches upon the trees made a much larger ruckus than she could with her feet.

Small clouds of white emitted from her plump lips as she exhaled. Winter had come, that was a fact. However, it wasn't something that entirely effected her. Her body still maintained a natural temperature, her reiatsu vibrated within to ensure it wouldn't budge a fraction of a degree. It was inhumane of her to do so, but if she were to perform properly within this cold it was something that she would have to maintain. Though it was performed with relative ease, she'd have to keep it in mind if anything were to happen on this mission of hers.

Several months ago, Misa was ordered to eliminate high threat targets that would potentially keep the Vandenreich from completely any of their future endeavors. It took but a few minutes within a small meeting room to come to the conclusion that the Yuudeshi always seemed to be at the right place at the right time. Always there to seize any stalemate upon Earth's surface. It then became relevant to the Captain that she would have to eliminate the Yuudeshi single-handed. As she once did in her earlier years in life as a Bounty Hunter. She had the skill set to do so, it was however a matter of whether or not she had ever faced opponent's quite like this before. Which couldn't be proven to be that she had.

Her steady footsteps came to a halt as she stopped to breathe for a moment. Utilizing her spiritual energy to send out a small pulse. This pulse would bounce off another spiritual entity's spiritual pressure. In result, she would feel a disturbance in that small pulse and be able to judge the strength of the interruption. This would be based on how severe of a break was found within the pulse. She awaited. Arms by her side her head faced down, eyes shut.

To anyone that felt the pulse that was able to sense spiritual pressure they would find it near impossible to trace. While the pressure had a central point, it would soon cover a radius of 5 miles. The pulse would also be so minuet in power, without a keen nose for spiritual pressure one would not even notice it. It was possible for her to be found, but it was such an odd aura it would either attract the one she wanted to find or it would bring her to him: Kakine Yuudeshi.

It had been some time now that she had been tracking the movements of Kakine, he was the first pillar to be taken down. With his efforts in Australia alone, she could only see Kakine as a severe threat to the Quincy's future. The future of mankind, as well. Most would believe this to be insane, or even suicide trying to find such a man. Yet, Misa did not hesitate for one second in her duties the moment she realized they were her's.

There in these woods of Karakura she would wait for a disturbance, whether he noticed her or not she would get what she wanted from him. His head.

THE KING OF NOTHING

KAKINE YUUDESHI
壊れた魂

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 838

Huh...

The cold breeze that was just raging against the male's body was supposed to be pressing against the stand he had created. There was supposed to be creaking, loud bangs and frustrated winds trying to break through the stand Kakine had just created. But, surprisingly, the wind had subsided, only to be met with another force. It was wind in the sense, just a wind that most people weren't quite too attuned towards. Energy, being sent out for who knows how far, could be felt at the peak of its travel in Karakura Forest. You would thing this energy was just a side effect of living in Karakura, but to Kakine it was an odd sight. He felt its energy, its odd tangible taste. It was as if someone were nearby, someone was trying their best to pin point almost anything in the forest itself. He paid no mind to the energy as it was, only his curiosity was peaked at this point.

Kicking at the lower portion of the stand he had created, the Yuudeshi stood and let out a soft groan. The cold air bothered his bones, he could feel the change coming as if it were right upon his doorstep. Walking forward, the stand dissipated into what could only be called pure energy, thus returning to the male's being as stepped outward into a nearby clearing. The dead leaves surrounded the male in mass as he took his time, slowly tapping his foot against the loose soil of the forest floor.

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock.

Another pulse struck at Kakine's energy signature, wrapping its way around his spiritual being as he smirked, his foot tapping continuously. It seemed that he wasn't alone, not by a long shot. The sonar that was currently picking up his location didn't matter much to him as he outstretched his arms, his jacket seemingly lifted by an abrupt burst of spiritual energy. As the energy lifted upward, it dispersed outward to be sent across all of the forest's area, catching each and every living thing in its wake. He could not determine what was what just by their signatures, but he could at least inform himself as to what was nearby.

Squirrels, men and women going on dates, people spending their day in the lovey forest, they were all there. Despite this being the case, it was more than obvious that someone had been tracking Kakine ever since he stepped foot within the forest. He was secluded, sectioned off in the opening compared to the vast size of the forest itself. As most would assume, those that came to visit normally stuck closer to the entrances of the forest instead of venturing further within. There were an unforeseen amount of hollows and dangers that could come along with striking so far within the green heart of Karakura Forest. With that being said, being so close to Kakine would only mean harm. At least, if you were a mere human.

Predictable

The sly smirk that Kakine was always known for formed among his lips as he tapped against the hilt of his Zanpakutō, registering that he would begin to process quite a few bits of information of the immediate area.

"Alrighty then. As it stands now, Benkei, we seem to have a friend around. Stay on alert, I'll be needing you relatively soon it seems."

The cold steel of Benkei's form shined against light that Kakine's energy had given off, only dulling once more as it lowered itself once again. It was odd to always talk to your blade, whether Shinigami or not. In Kakine's case however, Benkei had become a life partner at this point. Other than Shadin, his brother, there were none he could confine in. Not after the loss of Mizuki and his son. Taking a final look to the stars above, the Yuudeshi swung his body around as the opening that once filled with dead leaves was barren. Dead grass and vaporized leaves filled its floor as the energy Kakine waved forward was once again, extreme.

"Not sure who you are, or what you want, but you aren't too clever. Come on out now, no one knew of me being here. So obviously you aren't anyone too friendly eh? Its not like you've got much of a choice at this point, I've already notified the Yuudeshi network of your arrival."

The male let out a soft sigh yet again as his eyes filled with anger, a trait that he was known for in times of great stress. The King of Nothing waved his hand before him, forming energy into a small baseball as he awaited his new companion. There was no telling who they were, but were they stupid enough?

Could they really handle, The King of Nothing?

Head Hunters[Private/Battle] Headerimage2_zps7c673d3a

Eyes shut concentrating on the aura that she had released throughout the area. Hope trailed through her mind knowing that this small technique would be enough to get a near area of where he would be. Finally after just a minute of waiting at the slow traveling waves of reiatsu she'd get a hit. Shortly followed by the second. A smirk grew upon her face. He was near 1 mile from her current position. Which was plenty with the arsenal that she had to work with. However, doing such would give away her position immediately as she knew well within her mind that he would be on his guard now. With an approximate location on him she would be more than able to lay out a scheele technique, however it would take her losing her cover in order to get the boy to the middle. Even then, she was unsure if that would be enough to kill him.

There was a plethora of Ginto techiniques that could be used in this situation that would make things much easier. Yet, the fact still remained that this was no ordinary foe and simple tricks would not cut it. Sad the Quincy's line of abilities were that were mainstream bloodline. However, it was nothing less than what she had always had to work with. So she knew that the objective at hand was still obtainable.

If she wished to use her spiritual weapon to try to pin-point his location she would require an exact location... In order to place the perfect shot she would have to know exactly where he was. A mile was a hefty distance, but with her own spiritual weapon she knew that it would travel to him just a matter of seconds. However, it would take much time and effort for her to bring this attack into play. The gathering of the reishi for the attack alone would take quite a bit of time, something of which she was not exactly full of.

What an enigma she had placed herself in. While she was full aware of what exactly she was getting herself into, she hadn't actually thought it would come to this moment so quickly. Sure, she had been tracking him for quite some time now, but her mind was on solely that. Tracking him. A more elaborate thought processor would have made her much better at this job, but she was still alive after all of the countless heads she had taken before. Yet, none so strong as this one. It nearly made her shake to think that this could be her last battle if she were to be caught. She'd have to set some sort of trap if she were to have to run.

She immediately grabbed four Seele Schneiders throwing them up into the air, she'd quickly fire off four small bullets just enough to push the four Seele Schneiders to exactly where they needed to be. However, she'd have to mark the area. Quickly, she fired off several more shots, all of the utmost discretion. They marked the nearby trees at a low level, just incase they were to be taken out in the heat of battle. Finally she would fire one last bullet marking her final location for the last Seele Schneider to be placed. She dug her foot into the ground just a bit.

As another precaution she grasped into her jacket once more grabbing a few ginto tubes and throwing them up into the air. Firing at them, she'd convert them into Einweben with a simple muttered phrase, "The silver strands bind you to your place, Einweben." Once that was done the webbings would make their way between several trees in the area. Unseen to the human eye, yet a glimmer of sunlight would display their location. With that in mind, she was running out of time.

Such a fool she had been, it was evident that now that the man was on his guard he would have some sort of... There it was. She had found him. What a novice. She could only feel this way due to the fact that she had not been able to reach that far down into the fundamentals of training as a Quincy to just try to find the stray hints of reiatsu her subject had left behind and then maximize that by just concentrating on what exactly it was she was looking for. She could close her eyes and see him plain as day. She smirked once more.

Swiftly, her gun began to morph. It made an array of mechanical clicks and clacks before it finally entered into it's final stage. She'd dawn her mask with her left hand as her eyes began to glow with electricity. Her spiritual pressure would begin to condense as she pounced back a fair bit to not disturb her previously set traps. While the amount of spiritual pressure that was used was immense it would be hard to realize as she took reishi from the vibrant grounds of the Karakura forest in order to build the attack. Yet another measure taken to not give up her position any more than she already had. Trees in the area began to lose their life, however she would stop just before they would begin to crumble and leap to the next designated area. It would be no time at all before she would be able to make the shot.

The problem was whether or not she had given herself up already or not. Though, she had no doubt that her skills were more than capable of keeping him from killing her. It lingered in the back of her mind. With what confidence she had just gained in the hype of the situation she would mutter quietly, "Kakine Yuudeshi... I see you."

THE KING OF NOTHING

KAKINE YUUDESHI
壊れた魂

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 858

Kakine Yuudeshi stood tall as the cold winds once again picked up, his slender body shifting from left to right as its force shook him. Karakura Forest was soon to be a battle ground that none would wish to stand upon, not even this being that seemed to track him would wish to step forth before The King. That being said, that didn't keep Kakine from taking precautions. He wasn't an idiot, especially given the family he has grown form. As a Yuudeshi, quick thinking and adaptive thoughts were a trait that most saw at near birth. Kakine Yuudeshi, just like his brother, was one of the few Yuudeshi to reach such a high level of intelligence. Oh well, there was no need to hold back, not when it felt as if a hostile being was nearby. Taking a look to his waist, Kakine's voice muttered a low phrase, sending shockwaves throughout the earth beneath him as his Katana shot forth, energy from it flying in all directions.

"Reflect, Kuukyoken"

Head Hunters[Private/Battle] Musashibou_Benkei

The words echoed for miles as the Earth shook violently, Benkei's form shaping itself into what seemed to be a human being. To the trained eye, one would realize that the woman that had just appeared from thin air was infact a physical spirit, manifested by Kakine himself. Kuukyoken, or what she prefers to be called by, Benkei, stood tall beside the male, her loose Kimono only barely fitting her slender form. As she came to, the girl verified her surroundings before turning to Kakine and, pathetically, whined.

"You know for a fact that my head is still killing me after last night's round. It's to late in the evening to expect me to be so active..."

The woman's sobs and moans hit a deadpan wall that was Kakine Yuudeshi, his hands coming together as he let out a annoyed sigh. There was no use in dealing with the intruder respectfully, so as it stood, Kakine would be doing his best to end this quickly and efficiently, if possible. Nevertheless, the time had come to take action. Energy bounded around the male's body as Benkei's slender and attractive form dissipated fully, turning into a pure state of energy as it formed into Kakine's hands. The Zanpakutō had shifted in appearance, no resembling that of a railgun. Through energy transferred from his body, Kakine had enacted CreationConstruction to morph Benkei's human state into a durable, long range lightning cannon known as a railgun. Standing on a tripod at eye level, the Railgun spun up almost instantly, the Yuudeshi's voice echoing through the grounds of the forest now.

"Might as well come out. Don't really have a point in staying in all those trees and brush, now do you?"

The famous smirk once again crossed the man's face as he gripped the edge of the Rail gun, pressing his body against the stock that was fitted onto the back of it. In nearly a split second, the machine roared to life and was geared and ready to go. As Kakine slid his head downward, his breath tightened and his body pressed further against the machine. With a single trigger pull, the large machine rocketed a single bullet forward, electricity being shot forth at a moments notice.

As the lightning flung itself forward, the spread of its length reach that of 12 feet in width with an undetermined length of the shot. All that could be described of how far it had went was that those that were currently in the forest would remain unharmed, but more importantly, the tracker that was previously tracking Kakine would have to react almost instantly in order to remove her/himself from the blast. With that being said, the assault was only minor, Kakine's Shikai energy flaring rapidly as his eyes shifted from left to right to see the damage that had been caused to the hundreds of yards of forest. It would be fixed, eventually. However, tonight would not be the time.

The Railgun that previously stood tall against the man's own height had dissipated into thin air, forming beside him once more. Benkei had taken the image of her former beauty, latching onto Kakine's neck with her arms as she complained yet again.

"You could always be more serious you know. Its no fun if you're always letting the enemy come to you."

Fighting through the hiccups that came with both her hangover and current drunkenness, the tall woman only flopped as she complained over and over. She wasn't wrong, though. Kakine wasn't taking whoever the intruder was too seriously, which could lead to his own downfall. As of now, it mattered little to the Yuudeshi. If someone wished to hunt him, he would turn the tables. The prey becomes the predator.

The Hunter, becomes the hunted.

Head Hunters[Private/Battle] Headerimage2_zps7c673d3a

Thus it would begin.

The reishi in the area morphed the trees in the nearby area a grayish tone as the life energy was drained right out of them. However, it would take no time at all for the trees to revive back to their lush vibrant forms once more. It wouldn't be immediate, but it would not take much longer than a few days. It was how the forest was always able to remain alive despite the numerous battles that had taken place in this very area. The reishi that harvested itself in the soil would feed back into the roots causing a rapid regeneration to the growth in the tree.

Her energy was near fully harvested it would take just a few more seconds for her to get her first shot at the man. As it began to finish she closed her eyes and concentrated on the vast energy that was in the near distance. However, when she did so another body could be seen. This one of pure spiritual energy. She knew well of Kakine's abilities as she had done some research on his past battles, he had the ability to create near anything with the use of his spiritual energy. This one was in the embodiment of a woman from the curves of her body. She knew not what purpose she held until she was converted into something once more: a railgun. Misa knew the shape well. Soon her vision of her target would be blurred by the large collection of spiritual energy being placed into the railgun.

Fire. She'd release her bullet at the same exact time that the other railgun seemed to be fired as a crackling of the forest's trees could be heard being demolished in the process. Her shot would hit directly in the middle of blast and be lost to it. However, it was of just enough strength to scatter the railgun. Quickly she stepped into a tree above, just a hair of a second in time to escape the now hundreds of tiny railgun shots that would shatter the tree she stood upon. It cracked at the base as well as many others as trees could be seen buckle for a 500 yard radius. The dead leaves that lay upon the ground quickly dried and caught fire. In result, those trees that had been drained of their life would too immediately ignite and crumble as they fell over.

A large fire now covered the landscape, and with that Misa would take to the skies creating small platforms beneath her feet to stay elevated. She was infuriated, but wouldn't let it shake her of her mission. It still existed and still had to be completed. However, now she would have to rely on actually fighting the man. He wanted her to come to him. It was obvious. He didn't want to be subject to any type assassination tactics. It was wise of him to do so, she respected that. She would give him what he wished.

She placed her hand out in front of her as in dropped down size and stature. Quickly she'd leap forward and vanish before using both a Quincy's flash step and a Hollow's flash step in order to reach her destination in a matter of seconds. She stood in the air looking down at the man. She'd leave no time for small chat, firing off near twenty bullets that glowed with a golden hue. They traveled at that of sound being able to breach his position near immediately from the near 100 yard distance she stood at. She knew it would only budge his position, so she would try to read which direction he would head to by the placement of his feet and movement of his body. Once she was able to do this, if there was any indication of his direction she would launch another volley of about one hundred bullets into that direction in a flowing manner, trying to catch him in his movement. If he were not to give any indication of movement she would take a random guess and hope for the best. If he were to not move at all she would launch the volley straight to his chest.

Once that was done she would flee back a few hundred feet and prepare for his attack. Before doing so, there was something that had to be said. "Kakine Yuudeshi, I am Misa Harribel Captain of the Jagmardee of Vandereich. I warn you now, your death will not be brief."
