The time is currently 4:50 PM in Mosfellsbær, Iceland. The temperature is currently forty five degrees, it is beginning to rain, the skies are turning scarlet and a crimson dome is covering the city of Mosfellsbær itself to prevent Vanguard operatives from breaking in. Their objective is to get pass the line of tens of thousands of Shadow Fall Troops that are now guarding the borders starting through a wide field of grass, dirt and rock. And, for antags, their goal is to otherwise prevent them from breaking through this line. The thread will start in a damp forest..

Zero inhaled deeply, the petite female enjoying the smell of the damp forest. She seemed to be blissfully unaware of the Shadow Fall troops that roamed the forest floor and hid in the trees, but she knew that they were here. She hadn’t ridden on the air currents to get to Iceland without knowing about the conflict going on within the country. Nor had she dropped into the middle of the forest without knowledge of enemies being within. Oh no, she knew that their fearless leader, she couldn’t remember his name for the life of her, had declared war on Shadow Fall. The vanguards were immediately dispatched and she had been one among the many Initiatives deployed into the country. She wasn’t sure why Iceland had been chosen as the battlefield, but she could hardly bring herself to care so long as the place as well as those guarding it brought her some form of entertainment. The petite female didn’t care about taking over Mosfellsbaer, she simply cared about having fun and this war should provide it for her.

A smile graced her face and her eyes opened to reveal reddish brown orbs that seemed angelic or downright demonic depending on several factors. If she were to guess, and this implied that she cared, she would guess that her eyes sparkled with excitement. With her daily dosage of damp forest in, Zero decided that it was time to get down to business. With a small burst of wind that originated from her feet, she leapt into the nearest tree. It was about seventy to seventy-five feet tall and she would estimate that she was at least forty to fifty feet off the ground. With her new vantage point, she would scan the area for any sight of the enemy as she slowly went from a crouching position to a sitting one, the palm of her hand pressed firmly against the tree trunk for support.

She cocked her head to the left, a frown beginning to replace her stellar smile. She wondered where the Shadow Fall operatives were. Maybe they were playing Hide-n-Seek with her and had simply forgotten to let her know that she was the seeker. “If ya wanted to play, ya should’ve just said so!” A devilish grin spread across her face. How nice of them to attempt to entertain her, but they mustn’t have gotten the memo for if they had they would’ve known that hiding was futile when she was the seeker. No matter though, she would happily participate in their game. Standing up, she would sweep her eyes around the place once more before leaping from the tree, landing on the ground below without a sound. Zero interlocked her fingers behind her back, rocking her body back and forth.

“Hot Sauce.”

The forest was set ablaze. The trees within Zero’s range were consumed by the flames. Smoke began to rise and she waited for the sound of the first tree to fall and the first enemy to arrive. A pocket of air had been created around her so that she didn’t end up getting toasted by the forest fire she had created. Within this protective bubble the petite female would spin around, her arms outstretched, a fit of giggles escaping her little body. Though she hadn’t outright attacked the city or the Shadow Fall operatives, she knew that the battle for Mosfellsbaer had begun.

“It’s a carnival!”

THE MAMMOTH OF THE ASTHAVON

Enter The Goliath Shell
プレイヤーにアシスタント

Song: Doll Judgement - Artist: TGS6 OST - Words: 605

Trees fell, fire rose and the first strike from the Vanguard was felt within the forest of Mosfellsbær. To the response of this blazing assault, a roar of monstrous portions was felt throughout the woodland. The earth trembled, the heavens shook and a daunting demonic presence then over washed the area. In a matter of moments, The Lone Vangaurd operative would soon discover why this area had so little operatives searching for her.

For, in a crashing explosion, the foot of giantess smashed into the burning timber below and twenty meter tall demoness arose from the ashes. With another powerful howl into the air, this feminine creature dispelled the flames within the forest. In this moment of brutal summoning, an eruption of red light lit the area to otherwise signify its demonic energy neutralizing the once raging inferno.

With its steel blue eyes filled with the utmost of battle intent, this mammoth beast's stare fixated itself on a single energy signature that did not belong here: the human known as Toki "Zero" Tōketsu. This name only came natural if due to the fact she was synchronized to The Demi Network. Scanning within it's enchanted hive mind, through all the public domain files of the Vanguard which were accessible during this time of war, that name and face came across as one associated with the enemy organization her creator was so trying to purge from these lands.

Therefore -- it took little time to deduce that she should crush this foe and force it back to whence it came from. Registered, documented and under surveillance; The Goliath Doll knew its task and the blood within it's boiling veins began to rise. Steam fumed from its mouth and nose, a reddening aura of power radiated from its body and the fearsome amazonian was ready to partake in combat.

"...."

Another stomp was all that was required in order to crush everything within thirty meters with relative ease. Chunks of the earth, forest and bodies of the deceased would go hurdling. In this way, The Goliath doll sought to pulverize and flatten Zero like a pancake. If nothing else, the damaging winds generated from this unearthly strength could at least cause numerous cuts and wounds to open up across her body. Add to the fact debris were flying at sub-sonic speeds, and the potential for additional collision impact could cause broken bones, ruptured organs and result in the frail girl being flung like a ragdoll across the forestland. Hopefully -- a bloody rag doll.

As, with another motion of her arm, The Goliah Doll screeched bloody murder and punched into the earth to repeat the same results; but over a sixty meter radius through a powerful punch. The reason for this is because she assumed this level of attack should suffice for the level of opponent she was matched against. With the sensory capacity of The Demi-Networking guiding her, The Gigantic Beast saw no need to use any further force until the aftermath of her previous assaults could be gauged.

"..........."

With no words spoken, The Goliath Doll simply kept her guard up and remained intent on keeping her icy stare fixated on her foe. The atmosphere grew quiet, the air became cold and the battle was marked in blood, bone and destruction. No matter what occurred, The Goliath Doll would not allow this terrority to fall. The best choice of action for the foe? Retreat and go home. There were no other alternatives with this beast.

Reddish brown eyes shifted from the sky that loomed above to the mammoth that had crashed into the forest. An eyebrow would be raised as fingers were interlocked behind her back and her body was turned to face the tall creature. She bent forward as the thing put out the forest fire that she had created moments before. The brunette folded her arms across her chest and straighten her body, tilting her head upwards as she smiled at the giant.

“Party pooper.”

Indeed, the giant was within the mind of the fifteen-year-old. She may have appreciated the fact something had come to defend the territory if that something had put out the flames she spent a second making. It also would’ve helped if the twenty meter doll had waited for the brunette to become tired of spinning around and chanting ‘it’s a carnival’ but what’s done is done. Though disappointed that the giant had put out her flames, the smile on Zero’s face did not fade. Her priorities were seemingly in the wrong places anyways for not a shred of concern entered her being. Not when the giant had made it’s entrance and definitely not when it’s eyes fixed on her considerably smaller form.

Where someone may have felt some sense of dread, Zero only felt glee. She had been anticipating the arrival of a Shadowfall operative, someone that could contend with what she had to offer. It matter not if the being that confronted her was stronger in some shape or form, at least it didn’t to the brunette, since it would simply provide a better source of entertainment than someone weaker than her or on her level. So, she didn’t feel like she had taken a bite more than she could chew and thus she wouldn’t be fleeing from this area anytime soon.

With her wind barrier up, Zero observed the mammoth she would need to defeat in order to claim… uh… this land in the name of the Vanguard. Knowing full well that her little pocket of air would only protect her from energy based attacks such as fire, lightning, or anything else without a solid form, she decided that a little extra defense would be best. Thus, as the giant went to stomp the ground, the body of the brunette would be clad in armour made of earth. It would provide protection from any wind generated by the doll that managed to break her wind barrier as well as prevent her becoming a bloody mess once flung across the forest - it would be difficult to fight something with numerous broken bones and gashes.

It was a smart move on her part, though the wind did manage to create several chinks in her armour. Yet, she was relatively fine though a little hysterical. Her armour fell as she got up, revealing the form of the madly giggling brunette. She could’ve repaired it easily, but it would slow her down where she planned on going. Compressing wind at the bottom of her feet, Zero would leap ten meters into the air as the doll went to deliver the same attack just on a larger scale though that knowledge wasn’t privy to the brunette. For all she knew, the howls of the doll was nothing more than it gathering up the power needed to perform the same attack or simply to hold onto. So, she hadn’t conjured up any barrier around her body. A mistake, perhaps, but one that wouldn’t result in broken bones. Gashes? Sure, she could most definitely deal with that without a problem, okay, minimum problem. Pain would be evident, but she was capable of pushing it to the far corners of her mind in favour of focusing on the doll.

Unsure of the distance between herself and the giant, but she believed she was close enough for whatever attack she had in mind to land. Her body began generating electricity. With her finger pointed in the general direction of the doll, Zero moved her arm across her chest and snapped it back in one quick motion. The bolt of lightning was sent the giant’s way. Instead of sticking around to hear howls of anger or something to that effect, the brunette decided to rise further into the air. She had mindlessly floated seven meters and now she posted herself three more meters in order to, in a sense, be the same height as her opponent. She threw up another wind barrier for obvious reasons, but didn’t dare advance forward. She was confident in her abilities, but she wasn’t about to get flatten like a pancake because she decided to get closer. She wasn’t suicidal no matter how much people thought differently.

THE MAMMOTH OF THE ASTHAVON

Enter The Goliath Shell
プレイヤーにアシスタント

Song: Greenwich in the Sky - Artist: Jun.A - Words: 1046

...

Party pooper?

The Goliath Shell seemed to take a fair bit of time in order to process why her opponent would utter such a foolish sentiment while in the middle of a life or death clash. Did she not realize how crucial this battle was, or was she just naive and cocky?

...

It was a waste of thought. As, no matter the case, The Amazonian wouldn't allow for this terrority to fall. That's all there was to it and all there should be to it.

Yet -- there was a curious thought as to why this child was smiling. Since, as the brawl initiated, there was nothing but giggles and smirks to be had from Zero. So again, questions were raised: was this youth confident she could defeat that which is the Goliath, or just was this just an act of insanity?

...

More wasteful thought.

This energy would be better spent observing her foe and attuning defenses to the supernatural force this child spent to defend herself against The Shell. Therefore, a brief flash of blood red light flickered in the orbs of the Goliath's eyes before her sense of deduction came into play. Being immensely in sync with the area granted The Giant rights to analyze and piece together the potential tactics that was being used against her.

And, from it's analysis, it appeared that this child seemed to be some sort of medium for the four elements. As based on these investigations into what power was being used, a form of wind defense seemed to register and was being put into effect in order to lessen the damage inflicted upon that body of hers. Therefore, the first assumption that The Golaith Shell came to was that she may perhaps be dealing with an elemental user.

Easy enough.

By the time that the the spinning minor prepared her electric assault, The Goliath Shell decided to test her might further and see what her foe was capable before resorting to more brutal methods. Therefore, at surprising speeds, the Goliath Shell turned on it's heels and delivered a sound punch straight to the volt of electric destruction.

The power of her right hand was strong and it outright dispelled the attack into nothingness. In a flash of crimson light, the satanic energies of demon magic worked alongside The Giantness in order to allow her punch to influence the metaphysical. In this way, her physical strength was converted into an actual force of energy capable of overpowering and negating the attacks.

Thus, in the death of the elemental assault, a sound similar to thousands of birds chirping reflected itself all throughout the forest before it dissipated within seconds. In it's wake, there was smoke brimming from the fist of the Goliath Shell. When that mist faded, there were nothing but slight burn marks scattered across the brick red hand of the amazonian.

...

The strength of her foe had been determined and The Goliath Shell knew how to proceed from there.

In another burst of movement, The Goliath Shell went in to swat her foe with the uttermost of speed. Akin to smacking a mosquito dead, The Amazonian sought to slam Toki straight into the dirt below and send her hurdling in a carter a few meters deep. This, in turn, would result in a crushing effect and hopefully lower her health by shattering bones, harming precious organs and attacking her supply of energy by weakening the body it was tethered through by grave injury.

Regardless of if that swift moving strike failed, The Goliath Shell would take a sudden leap of air and spring forward ten meters higher in the air than her foe. And, even in this brisk movement, danger was all about. More projectiles would fling themselves at Toki in order to smash and mash her into bits.

Nevertheless, once The Goliath was adjusted at a decent altitude, two colossal blades that extended for twenty meters each in length would appear in the hands of The Giantess. Wasting no time, she slammed them into the ground with an ungodly shattering noise being produced in the wake of such a collision. Dead bodies, chunks of earth, trees, leaves and even forest critters were seen being tossed around in every direction for eighty meters.

In this way, The Goliath wanted to make sure to cover a large area of effect in order to capture her opponent and force her to take some form of harm. Should she get nailed by these blades of demonic valor, there is a good chance that Zero may become further squashed and flattened. If nothing else, they could send her falling deeper into the earth or being flung across the skies if she managed to evade being swatted down.

In one more combination move, the Goliath Doll would then take a deep breathe and vomit what appeared to be lava from her mouth all throughout the field for one hundred meters in every angle. This burning blood from The Giantess's body would seek to burn and melt through flesh, bone and supernatural attack alike. If an energy attack was thrown at it? This boiling fluid would seek to thaw and evaporate it from the intense heat brimming from within the soul of The Amazonian.

So, this could start becoming quite challenging for the lunatic juvenile. For now, The Goliath Shell would keep its guard up and prepare for anything to happen. She was a nimble foe and she needed to be ready to strike her down at any moment. No sense could be spared when in the midst of combat.

"...I will indeed abolish and destroy your plans for celebrations, human..."

In a low voice that seemed almost too low to believe, the reticent tone of the mammoth creature spoke and retaliated against the "party pooper" claim Toki had so carelessly hollered out earlier. One would imagine that a being of her proportions would have a booming voice, but she was calm and restrained as can be.

But, never the less, she would show her what a "party pooper" could do. She'd pay for calling her that.

Aw. She made the giant doll of doom mad - why else would she have continued her quest to be a party pooper? It would’ve brought a frown to her face if she wasn’t amazed by the giant’s speed and faintly amused by the strength. She, sincerely, hadn’t expected the first since larger things tended to have a harder time moving, but she knew to watch out for that speed now. As for the strength, she expected that and if she were anyone else, she would’ve been pleased to have gauged such strength early on. But, Zero was an inexperienced fighter caught in the moment, so she wasn’t really, sincerely, paying much attention to the doll’s physical capabilities - exception being that speed surprise.

Though inexperienced with the whole fighting for a piece of land she could honestly care less for, she wasn’t stupid enough to stay in one place. If Fenrir drilled anything into her brain - people seem to genuinely wonder if she had one - it was the importance of constantly moving - even if that movement was simply circling around an opponent. So, with the smoke up, Zero’s normal reaction was to take advantage of it and drop down to the ground. There was little advantage in the air for her and since she wasn’t about to charge up a stronger lightning attack that would require her to be positioned several feet above the doll anytime soon, the ground was an excellent place for her to be.

It was a torn up by the doll’s earlier attacks, so she hovered above it, but she would be able to utilize earth at a moments notice now. She wished she could create earth just like she could create the other four elements in her arsenal, Fenrir had her working on it since she really didn’t want to gain further control of water so it wasn’t so taxing on her energy reserves at the moment. Yet, progress has been extremely slow in that regard and Zero was an incredibly impatient person. Perhaps she should hit up the Imaginary District when she got back to Karakura Central, she had heard many people have grown in strength after training there, but that would have to wait. Right now there was a giant doll with the intent to ruin every last form of fun Zero threw at it, but she wouldn’t be deterred so easily. She had come to Iceland for two reasons, to have fun and test out her skills, and she wouldn’t leave until she fulfilled them.

Though, maybe fighting something capable of reducing her into a pancake wasn’t the best idea. She’d hate to stop fighting right now, but she also would hate to end up deader than dead because she decided not to use that thing people called a brain. People may call her suicidal, the actions she usually took didn’t help matter, but she still had this instinct to preserve her own life. It was just easily shoved to away, but she’ll listen to it this time. Yet, she wouldn’t be leaving this place, not right now. Instead she would do something quite unconventional and that was talk to the thing/person attempting to purge her from these lands. Fighting wasn’t the only form of entertainment for Zero and maybe the doll was a party pooper because she needed a friend. It was a role she was willing to fill despite their organizations being hostile towards each other given her nature. Maybe the two could go out for some ice cream if everything worked out or continue their fight with the absence of killing intent.

A mischievous grin crossed her face as she adjusted her scarf. She dared to move close to the doll, taking her position back in the air with arms folded across her chest. She wasn’t going to attack the doll, but she was ready to move as quickly as possible if the doll decided that now would be the best time to reduce her to a bloody mess.

“Neh, why are you trying to crush poor Zero?”

She cocked her head to the side as she looked at the doll with questioning eyes.

“Don’t ya know I just wanna have fun? Don’t want this place at all. Ya can keep it.”

She blinked several times before straightening her head.

“Neh. Is Doll-chan a party pooper because she has no friends? If so, I be your friend, but ya can’t crush me no more.”

She giggled.

“Or try to. Okay?”

プレイヤーにアシスタント

Song: Psycho Alice Orchestra - Artist: Karasu - Words: 814

...

The capacity to gauge another warriors instinct is birthed after having fought many battles. In the case of the Goliath Shell -- this would prove no different. By the time the hostile intent had faded away from Zero, The Goliath Shell seemed to cease in it's own aggressive attempts at swatting at the supposed invader.

...

Why she was still smiling? Did this girl truly not believe she was in any danger? Or was she just -- braindead? Whatever the cause may be, the curiosity of The Amazonian was peaked and she wished to inquire more about this peculiar state of being that her "foe" was under.

Therefore, instead of attacking Miss Toki with outright power, the creature instead opt'd to stare at the human with the utmost of intent. There was almost a tilt of the head given, but she would allow the words of the little girl to be uttered before saying much of anything in response. Apparently, from what she digested, the youth was questioning the motive of why The Goliath Shell was aiming to pulverize her.

Simple: she perceived her as a threat. Is that so wrong to assume given the climate of war? Therefore, The Giantness would remain on guard and watch every movement of Zero with unrelenting focus. One wrong move, one slip of the tongue -- and it was over.

"You are with the Vanguard. They are here to start a war. Therefore, you are the enemy. That is why I assaulted you, human."

...

This time, her voice was a bit more audible, but still quite low and solemn. There was a tone of urgency and seriousness behind it as well. The creature considered itself to be a stern being, so it was only natural that way in which she spoke would be nothing less but firm.

At any rate, she'd let the human proceed with her talks. Speaking and rambling on about fun baffled her. There wasn't a day in The Goliath's life that she could remember where there was such a concept as "fun" had. Each day was more tiring than the less; filled with training, learning and strengthening the overall capacity of her might. If she was not becoming stronger, then she was in solitude and reflecting upon her life and battles to improve the focus of her mind and become more mentally resilient against foes who dare venture forth into the depths of her soul.

So -- The Goliath Shell was further stumped on just what major malfunction this girl had as she started speaking. Why was she not interested in taking the land? Wasn't it her duty as apart of her organization to take this land back? Did she not follow orders akin to the way the Amazonian did her higher ups? Is that not why each of them drew their powers against one another?

...

This was conflicting.

"...fun? You think this is...fun? How...? Are you not here on orders? Won't your superiors reprimand you?"

The Goliath was baffled, but her tone of her voice, nor facial expression, would show it. Instead, more dialogue came from the girl and apparently she wanted to be -- friends?

...

Was she insane? Making friends with the enemy? What kind of people were employed in the Vanguard to do such a thing? In the world in which she lived, there were no friends or family. There was only strength, the ability to have power overall and your own self. There was nothing else in between that The Goliath Shell could remember.

So -- to hear these sentiments -- were off-putting. This warrior of Shadow Fall was expecting someone to come in guns-a-blazing and ready to try and invade.

Yet -- this was not quite what she had imagined.

"....have your cognitive functions been broken, human? I am two steps away from slaughtering you where you stand, yet you want to make...friends....with me? Is this some sort of trap?"

With one swift motion, her steel blade was pointed directly at Toki's face. However, she was not one for cheap shots. If Toki was perceptive enough, she would realize there was no aggressive intent behind it and it was but a show of force.

"Just how exactly do you intend to walk away from this...? Answer me. Or I'll destroy you."

Of course, those words were given out of paranoia and mistrust, but The Goliath doll was slowly moving towards the motion of giving -- mercy -- upon this child.

It was just reliant on the course of action and words Toki decided to choose. Would they be effective -- or a waste of time? The ball was in her court and it was time for the human to take this demon on a ride.

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count: 752

Zero was one lucky teenager for the doll could’ve taken this opportunity to smite her whilst she wasn’t moving and in the process of talking. Rather this was because she revealed she had no intentions of forcing Shadow Fall to relinquish their control over the city or the fact that she didn’t intend to do any harm didn’t matter to the brunette. What did matter was that the doll proved to not be one of those people who assaulted their opponent no matter what, taking any and every opportunity to incapacitate and/or kill that was presented. It made the brunette like the doll even more which may seem odd seeing how the doll had attempted to kill her up until this point. Despite this fact, she wasn’t really wary of the doll, she simply had enough common sense to be prepared to fly at a moments notice. She was at ease even with a sword pointed at her face.

“By talking to ya, of course!”

She interlocked her fingers behind her back as she pushed her chest out. If she had been on the ground, she would’ve definitely been standing on her tiptoes and her feet gave that impression even with her floating in midair. Her smile remained plastered on her face as she cocked her head to the left, reddish brown eyes admiring the blade for a couple seconds before shifting to the doll’s face. She had a sword herself named Miroku though she couldn’t use it to save her life - Fenrir told her she was more likely to take her own life than somebody else with her current knowledge. She wondered if the doll was a sword master and considered rather or not she would teach her some nifty tricks for a flitting second before her mind reminded her of the situation she was in. Doll-chan wanted answers and it would be wise to oblige her.

“Nice sword.”

She straightened her head as she stood flat on her feet once again, her mind quickly whipping up answers that may be to the satisfaction of the doll. It wasn’t like Zero needed to consider her answers, she pretty much knew them by heart now since a lot of people tended to question her meaning of the word fun and rather or not she was slightly retarded. None of them has attempted to kill her, but none of them had been under the same circumstances as this one. And even though one would pick their words wisely, the brunette would not change the answers, though she may add a thing or two since she had the tendency to ramble, nor the frivolous way she delivered them.

“First, yes, I think this is fun. In fact, it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Do you know how long its been since I’ve last done something really, really fun? Long time. Karakura Central has become a bore, that’s why I come here to Iceland, ya see? And ya have given lots of fun, though starting that forest fire was fun too, but ya better. I’m not worried about being yelled at by people I don’t know, I don’t know who the commanding officer of my unit is anyway nonetheless the Vanguard, and I came for my own reasons.”

She tilted her head to the side once again, her voice growing serious.

“They come to take cities from Shadow Fall, per their orders and mine. But I’ve come to have fun. War is fun, ya know? I don’t seek to purge Shadow Fall from a city that hasn’t asked for my help. Even if I’m ordered too.”

She paused for a brief moment, allowing silence to descend between the two for a couple seconds before launching herself onto the subject of friendship in a chirper tone.

“As for my friend request, there’s no trap. Ya see, I don’t have very many friends back at home. I got lots of playmates though, but they become boring and I have to throw them away for some new ones. But Karakura doesn’t have an infinite supply of playmates, so momma suggested I make some friends. Ya know, people I don’t cease all communications with after a couple months with ‘em. And ya are a fun person, though a party pooper, and I don’t think ya will become boring, so I like ya as my first friend. What do ya say, Doll-chan?”

She stuck out one of her hands.

“Will ya accept my friend request?”

THE MAMMOTH OF THE ASTHAVON

Enter The Goliath Shell

Song: Manipulative - Artist: 東方 - Words: 750

This little human expected to walk away from this whole ordeal by -- talking?

...

The Goliath Shell was further confused by that statement, but -- understood it well enough. Through the art of communication, this demon could not help but internally admit she was right. If it weren't for those words spoken, stances made in the sand and intentions conveyed to The Doll -- then this amazonian of a warrior would have continued down the blood soaked path and trying to skewer "The AAA Battery".

So -- there was no grief in that argument by The Demoness after having time to mull and let those words stew amok within the confines of her mind. Therefore, she would slowly draw her tools of mass destruction away by sheathing the sword into nothingness. After all, demon's could wield the power of the magic in the most mundane of fashions, and there was no need for her to carry around a hulking weapon the length that was almost half the size of a football stadium.

But, while doing so, it seemed The Goliath was given further insight into the peculiar mindset this school-girl operated under. From what this demon was able to digest, the woman was absolutely a neutral who had no interest in either side of the battle. All this youthful figure desired was to have as much "fun" as her tiny little body could withstand. It was an odd situation to be in, but she saw no need to use violence in this circumstance. Even if there were orders being barked down from her masters to go on the path of genocide, it wasn't in Goliath's nature to bother with anything that was not a threat, her enemy or anything that doesn't have the hostile intent to fight back against her.

Perhaps it was Neoveta's own former kindness that still bled on within the heart of The Goliath which led to this conclusion. After all, the subconscious mind has a way of tethering it's influence and grasp into every facet of a persons life. This may have yielded true even in the lair of demons; possibly even more so considering the fractured psyche of their psychological being.

Nevertheless, The Amazonian had heard enough and was content with indulging in further knowledge of the crazed character before her. That is when she heard the uttering of a thing called "friendship" being extended to her from the manic human. This little girl truly was just jumping through the hoops, was she not? First, she had the nerve to have fun with her once sworn enemy. Now, now she is trying to make friends with it? Today was truly a bizarre day for The Goliath.

".......I will accept, but I'm not sure what you expect to come of it."

With a rigid sigh, The Shell's firm words echoed out of her mouth in a low, but commanding tone. If nothing else, the human had The Goliath's acceptance for the time being. There were still hints of paranoia and mistrust intermixed into this, as she was on guard and ready for whatever trap or hidden plan this human may or may not have had. However, for the moment, there was nothing that indicated she had such a method of action to go through with. Therefore, she would finish with her own objectives before focusing on this new "friend of hers.

Through a wave of her hand, The Giantness tapped into the explosive might of her creators new fond power and used it to create an intricate series of barrier around the whole of this region. First, she would embed the properties needed in order to block external teleporation from having a strong chance of getting through. Next, she would use its explosive strength in order to repel most of the remaining Vanguardian soldiers out of the range by repelling them out to sea and letting them sink or swim. In this way, Goliath would not need to indulge in either further blood and she could enhance the protection of this city she was sworn to protect as per her duties.

Turning back to Toki, The Goliath would let out another heavy sigh and ask this question:

"I'm no good at this: what do you want to do now? You are in the den of devils, so tread carefully, human."

000[/flash]

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: MaouDamashii Town 10 - Word Count: 609

Zero felt the urge to tell the giant that she expected a friend out of this, but she managed to fight that urge, the brunette mentally beating it up and throwing into one of many dark crevices in her mind. Instead, she would focus on the emotion known as joy. She spun around in delight, the brunette beyond happy that the doll had decided to accept her proposal. Getting the giant to agree was easier than she had expected, but she wasn’t one to look a gifted horse in the mouth. With her spinning down and the giant’s barriers up, the brunette got closer to the doll. She quickly went from being in front of the doll to by her side, hovering mere inches above the dolls shoulder. A risky maneuver to anyone with a brain, but Zero didn’t perceive the doll to be a threat thus she felt comfortable and safe enough to get within the doll’s personal space. She would’ve sat on the doll’s shoulder, but she wasn’t about to push her luck just yet.

“I do believe that saying goes ‘den of lions’”

She glanced at the giant, a grin on her face as she cocked her head to the left.

“Though I guess devils is more befitting given the situation. And the name is Zero not human, Doll-chan!”

She went silent after that, the brunette’s mind wandering to the sort of mischief the two could do whilst everyone else was out doing one of three things: fighting, dying, or proclaiming themselves victor. She guess some people were healing the wounded and comforting the dying in their last moments so that they may have peace in the afterlife, but Zero would bet only two percent of the people fighting in this war were barely qualified to patch up the wounded nonetheless comfort the dying. But that was all based on the information she had and to her knowledge the Vanguard had deployed the Initiatives. She wasn’t aware of any other branches being deployed, but that could very well be because she hadn’t paid any attention after hearing about the conflict.

Zero snapped herself out of her reveries a good minute or two after the doll had asked a question. She wandered if convincing the doll to teach her a thing or two about a sword would be as easy as it was to convince the doll they should be friends. The logical part of her mind, the part that was used to a minimum, told her that the giant wouldn’t on the simple basis that they were from opposing organizations even though they weren’t enemies personally. Besides, she had failed to bring Miroku along since the chances of her cutting herself with her sword far outweighed the chance she would injure someone else with it.

So, she considered the option of going back to what she had been doing earlier before the doll arrived which was burning down the forest. Based on the doll’s actions earlier, she wasn’t someone concerned about protecting nature since she had basically destroyed a good portion of the forest with her strength alone. Besides, she was sure the place could be restored with the resources available to Shadow Fall. With her decision made she moved right back in front of the giant.

“Neh, how bout we start a forest fire together? We can go out for ice cream after our carnival or forgo forest burning altogether and go watch other people fights. Ya can even give me a tour of the city! It all up to ya, Doll-chan? I just wanna show ya how much fun it is to have friends!”
