Tōki is fifteen, but she certainly doesn’t display the maturity expected of somebody her age. She’s obnoxiously bubbly, energetic, absent minded, and extremely childish. She easily loses her train of thought and sometimes she speaks before she thinks which can result in jumbled up sentences that make little sense or just plain incoherent ones. She doesn’t seem to really mind rather or not one understands what she says nor does she seem to mind rather or not one even decides to listen to the rambles of a fifteen-year-old. With that being said, one would probably think that she simply likes to hear her own voice which she shall neither confirm or deny.

She is extremely forgetful, having forgotten the simplest of things on several occasions, though she has never forgotten anything that she deemed important. With her being rather forgetful, it’s no surprise that she isn’t very good when it comes to remembering the names of the people that she encounters unless she’s around them all the time or they are of some significance, otherwise be prepared to be asked your name a dozen times and sometimes in quick succession. It’s also futile and an absolute waste of time to get her to remember by dropping clues for she has forgotten the interaction nine times out of ten. Tōki doesn’t intentionally forget, it just happens and she thinks it requires too much energy to dig for a particular set of memories that have been deemed meaningless to her.

She’s free spirited and the sort of person who does what she wants, whenever she wants according to her whim. There is really no rhyme or reason to a lot of her actions which can be rather annoying to some people. Her infinite amount of energy doesn’t go well with her ability to become bored at the drop of a hat and thus her unpredictability can definitely provide her with a means to avoid becoming bored. People can definitely entertain her, but keeping her entertained is a feat and if she becomes bored, she shall simply run off and do her own thing. Tōki is even willing to throw caution to the wind just to avoid being bored, though it isn’t like she has much of that anyways. Her unpredictable nature carries over into her fights.

Very few things tend to trouble this fifteen-year-old for she’s carefree and laidback. Even if something does bother her, it’s rather hard to tell given her nonchalant way of speaking when presented with said situation, though that itself can be an indicator to the people who know her. Tōki is rather stubborn and doesn’t like being wrong nor told what to do. An exception to this may be her captain or somebody that she respects, but that’s no guarantee that she shall do as she’s told. She isn’t a very dependable person unless money is involved and she doesn’t seem to care about the opinion people may have of her. She’s tactless with her words and sometimes unnecessarily brutal with them for she cares little for the feeling of others. This doesn’t mean that she’s a brutally honest person, oh no, she’s fully capable of dancing around the truth and spinning complicated lies that could give somebody a headache.

Tōki is extremely friendly towards everyone, that includes people who are suppose to be her enemies, but she doesn’t consider anyone a friend. She places everybody she meets into a hierarchy of sorts, one that has family at the top and acquaintances at the bottom. In between are playmates (people who she finds entertaining and wishes to spend more time with), companions (people she thinks can become her friends), and lastly friends. She has absolutely no problem with breaking all ties with anyone not deemed family or friend. Because she’s willing to break ties with people stuck into the playmates and companion category, acquaintances don’t count since she doesn’t even remember their names, one can say that she doesn’t easily form emotional attachments to people. Empathy isn’t her strong point, this is to say that she isn’t about to feel sorry for or attempt to understand the hardships others face. Remorse isn’t actually something that crosses her mind and her regrets are trivial e.i. she regrets not eating that piece of chocolate cake offered to her because it could’ve been good.

Though she comes off as childish, one should not underestimate Tōki intelligence, though she’s okay with people doing that. She can be somewhat observant and somewhat strategic. Somewhat since her observation skills need some work and her strategies may fall short rather than raise to the occasion largely due to her inexperience. But that’s an issue that can easily be remedied.



Prologue: February 12th, that’s the day Anise gave birth to her one and only daughter. Kota, her husband of seven years, stood by the woman’s side as she slept, cradling a sleeping bundle in his arms as he smiled down upon his wife. It had been a long day for the both of them though more so for his wife, the woman having become exhausted over the fourteen hours it took to bring their third child, Tōki Tōketsu, into the world. His sons, Kota II and Kaneki slept in a nearby crib and soon enough his princess would need to be placed in her crib. He needed some sleep, but he would enjoy this silent moment while it lasted for he knew that this would be the last one until the triplets began school. He couldn’t be more right, but he could never imagine that his little princess would provide the family with the most problems.

Babies are naturally curious, but the parents of Tōki would swear up and down that their child actively sought out danger. The couple are adamant that despite being new to the world that babies are born with several preservation bones within their tiny little bodies. Their sons definitely had these bones for despite being curious they rarely put themselves in harm's way and when they did they learned not to do it again unlike their baby sister. Panic attacks were frequent within the Tōketsu household the moment the triplets began to crawl for keeping an eye on all three was tiring and they slipped up no matter how delegate they were. Afraid that the boys may have picked up on their sister’s habit, the parents couldn’t afford to just keep a special eye on Tōki and so there were moments the little girl would suddenly vanish from the space set up by the couple as the triplet’s playroom.

Restricting her movements to the playpen worked well, but it didn’t work for long for Tōki learned how to climb out of the pen. Kota and Anise weren’t sure when their daughter learned to do it, but they found out after walking in on her escape attempt. Anise would like to assume this was their daughter’s first successful escape attempt, but the smile on her face suggested she had been out on several other occasions and Kota knew it. With the failure of the playpen and with Tōki being fully capable of climbing over the safety fences that lined the area designated as their playroom, the couple could only hope to keep their daughter safe. It became the norm to find the devious toddler rummaging through the cabinets, inching towards open flames, and putting everything within arms reach in her mouth. Anise hoped her daughter would grow out of it whilst Kota simply got use to his princess’ antics.

Let’s Play With Fire: It had been five years since the birth of the triplets and the Tōketsu family had settled into their best version of a routine since then - its pretty hard to do with three kids. Kota went to work in the morning and returned in the afternoon, Anise would ensure her children were dressed and fed in the morning, busying the little ones with various activities that maintained even the youngest of the trio attention. Upon Kota’s return, the family usually went out for lunch and spent an hour or four at the park, waiting for the triplets to tire themselves out and work up an appetite just in time for dinner. With dinner out the way, the kids were washed, dressed, and tucked into bed or at least that’s how the routine had been set up. It usually didn’t go that way for one reason or another, but somehow the couple managed…

That’s until their children’s powers surfaced, that in itself opening an entirely new can of worms for the couple. It had been a fifty-fifty chance that their children would have some sort of power of their own rather it be superhuman strength or reality warping despite the couple being powerless themselves. Even though powers could allow their children to better defend themselves and, if the wished, defend the world they lived it, the two secretly hoped that all three ended up ‘normal’. Yet, fate had better plans for the Tōketsu children, bestowing powers upon all three that were linked together in some shape or form. Tōki hit the lottery, the child having showcased the ability to manipulate fire - her dangerous obsession when she was a toddler. It worried her parents greatly and sending her off to school along with her brothers who were capable of their own form of destruction was a nightmare to both.

Anise wanted to pull all three of her children out of school and head for Karakura Central, a city where they could learn to control their capabilities and be amongst people who could handle any ill effects that resulted from their playing. Kota thought things would be perfectly fine, putting too much faith into his children’s ability to use common sense and exercise self-control - honestly that’s too much to ask from five-year-olds fascinated by their abilities. So, the family stayed in Fukuoka despite Anise’s wish to depart for a more appropriate place to raise their elemental wielding children. Kota would soon regret not moving soon enough.

It had been an accident created by the triplets, one that cost the lives of twelve of their classmates and injured several others. Though forbidden by their mother, the trio had decided that they would show their classmates what they were capable of for show and tell. Make a flame come to life, manipulate some rocks into a sculpture, and mold water sounded like pretty harmless ideas to the five-year-olds. Their classmates already knew about their strange ability to manipulate the elements and so it should’ve gone without a hitch seeing how they had done this several other times. So, what went wrong? The triplets never factored in the fact that creating flames indoors could spell disaster if something went horribly wrong.

There had been many reports about the fire at the school, reporters pointing towards several possible causes for the sudden fire that had claimed the lives of twelve children. Yet only those who had been within the classroom knew what had gone wrong that fateful day and they were either dead or traumatized by the experience. Though not present at the time of the fire, Kota and Anise knew their daughter had something to do with it. The couple decided that now was time to hightail it out of the city before fingers were pointed towards them and a witch hunt was started. So, Anise and Kota packed up their home and whisked their children away to Karakura Central.

The Art Of Kicking The Living Crap Out Of People And More: It had been three months since the incident that resulted in the Tōketsu family packing up their things and moving to Karakura Central. Adjusting to a life in a city full of power wielding individuals was hard for Anise and Kota since the two weren’t use to being amongst so many of them. The transition for their children was a whole lot smoother though, the triplets having quickly become accustomed to their new home. Anise assumed it was because the trio were young and Kota believed that they simply didn’t care, both were right - being kept busy did help matters. Kota II and Kaneki did occasionally complain about not seeing their friends, throwing tantrums when told that they probably wouldn’t see them again, but even they soon forgot about them. Tōki also missed her friends, somewhat, but it was hard to not be distracted by the kids that attended her new school and so she too would forget about those left behind in Fukuoka. A new routine was established for the children and things returned to normal for the Tōketsu household, or as normal as it was going to be from now on.

A couple changes were made within the household such as seals being placed on the triplets since they couldn’t be trusted to not utilize whatever power they had. Sure, they were now in Karakura Central, and maybe there were plenty of people willing to teach a bunch of five-year-olds how to better control their power, but Anise decided her children were too young for a trainer and thus the seals were the next best thing. Kota disagreed, believing the triplets should start early but a reminder of his decisions in Fukuoka silenced any further protest he may have. The triplets, especially Tōki, were not pleased at all upon finding out that they could no longer use their powers. Their screams of frustration and anger tore at their hearts of Anise and Kota, but Anise would not budge. She knew that this was for the best and she knew the three would get over it soon enough.

It was two years after moving to Karakura Central before Anise thought her children were ready to have their seals removed and their powers trained. An instructor by the name of Fenrir was hired to ensure that their children wouldn’t be burning down houses, cause earthquakes or floods, and just anything else that could result in them moving once again. Now seven, Tōki and her brothers were overjoyed that they would finally be able to use their powers once again. She, Tōki, had longed for the day that she would be able to conjure up flames once again and that day had finally arrived. The triplets met Fenrir a couple days before the seal removal, Kota wanting them to get familiar with the man that would be their combat teacher for the next couple months and perhaps years if things went well. She, personally, liked him though her older brothers were a little more skeptical.

Training started the day after the seal removal and would occur Monday through Friday right after school, giving them the weekend to rest which they needed. Though his charges were just seven, Fenrir treated them like he would treat an adult. He pushed the trio to their limit every session, never allowing for any excuses to leave the mouth of the young youths and expecting nothing but their best no matter what they did. Tōki brought her A-game every session for she thoroughly enjoyed the combat training she received and wished to move on to some more advanced stuff. Seeing her desire to learn, Fenrir decided that he could teach the smallest out of the trio more than just power control. He decided then that he would throw Taekwondo into the remix, teaching it to her brothers as well since the two were present. For a short period of time there had been a problem with Tōki’s grades, but putting her favorite activity on the line was enough to straighten her out.

It had been three years since Tōki and her brothers had begun receiving combat lessons from their teacher, Fenrir. The triplets excelled in everything they set their mind on and for the youngest amongst them that was Taekwondo and power development, school only a priority with Anise’s and Kota’s threat still lingering in the air. Things were going relatively well for the Tōketsu family since nothing too drastic had occurred within their lives since Fukuoka. Sure, their triplets became a little rebellious, especially that Tōki, but it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be fixed with a well placed threat. The only surprises occurred when Tōki was ten, the youngest showing that fire wasn’t the only element she was capable of controlling. Fenrir called it Over Element and helped her get a handle on the elements she knew as well as explore her powers further. The next one was Tōki joining the vanguard a couple months after her fifteenth birthday. A surprise to her family, but no one was going to complain. Tōki was a protector of earth or so she said.

Miroku: A simple katana owned by Tōki. She doesn’t use it very often since she has little to no knowledge on how to properly wield it.

Limiter: A special item made to limit the amount of energy produced by Tōki so she doesn’t end up being crushed under its weight. It supplements her body with the right amount of energy for her body whilst storing the extra within itself. Of course, the excess must be dispelled periodically or the item would break and so it has a limit of how much energy can be stored before it automatically starts getting rid of it. Energy stored in the device doesn’t go back to Tōki, but the built up energy can be released by the wearer for whatever reason she may have. The Limiter comes in the form of a bracelet that is upgraded every three years in order to keep the performance of the item from deteriorating.



Taekwondo Practitioner: With eight years of Taekwondo under her belt, Tōki certainly has no problem with letting people know that she’s an expert in the Korean fighting style. Yet, she refuses to call herself a master for she stills think there’s much she needs to learn before she can go around saying that. Due to her training, she is capable of delivering powerful kicks for she’s able to generate a lot of force despite her small body. Fist are rarely used by this Tōketsu since she has been conditioned to kick first and use her fist when that isn’t an option. No matter what though, she aims to kick the ever living crap out of her target.

Powerhouse: Tōki naturally has a lot of energy at her disposal which she occasionally uses to increase her physical capabilities, but primarily for her powers. Though having a ton of energy at her beck and call is convenient, her small body cannot probably handle the large amount she has hence the limiter. Without the limiter her energy would slowly build overtime and eventually crush her to death if she didn’t dispel it.



Over Element is the name bestowed upon Tōki’s power to manipulate and generate elements. This is to say that she’s able to control and create what’s considered as the four primary elements on top of lightning. Her teacher, Fenrir, has placed her elements into categories so that he could better keep track of what she has as well as what’s possible. He also theorizes that the five elements that she has on hand isn’t final and believes that she could combine them for more advanced applications such as combining water and air to make ice or fire and earth to make lava/magma which shouldn’t be confused with her creating a tornado and setting it ablaze with fire. The official categories is Plasma, Solids, Liquids, and Gases though Tōki will simply refer to the names of the elements rather than the categories they have been placed in.
