APPEARANCE

Kaoru is quite the unorthodox one standing next to those his age, mostly due to his juvenile sense of fashion and attitude. His spiky dark hair juts out in one direction with a tuft of blonde barely staying up, practically tickling his forehead. When soaked his hair falls flat on his face, reaching even over his eyes. His style seems to be reminiscent of that cliche criminal hiding in an alleyway to find a person to victimize. Despite looking like a delinquent, however, Kaoru doesn't seem to internally match what he externally presents himself as. More or less, the boy simply likes having a "wild" look, thus he dyes a singular part of his hair a specific color so that it stands out amidst the darkness.

He's fairly toned, which is a sign that he indulges in physical activities quite a bit, though he is nowhere near being ripped. This is especially noticeable when he's dressed in a sleeveless shirt, his arms showing muscle definition with every bit of movement. His legs, particularly his calves and thighs, have an adequate amount of muscle definition fitting of an athletic high-schooler who regularly goes through rudimentary exercises. Kaoru's outfit changes consistently; at school he wears a basic uniform, otherwise he's dressed in a pair of jeans and a brand shirt that a teenager would find fascinating. Winter includes layers, however that's about it.

Now, one thing Kaoru extremely hates is his height. He's incredibly short, perhaps some of the shortest of guys when it comes to high school. Most would find this to be a disadvantage, though it seems to give him some form of mobility and agility that outclasses taller people his age. With a booming voice to match, this guy is nothing to fret about. Many would see him as a loud critter, but really, he's a wolf with enough skills. Bright golden eyes resembling that of an eagle's, Kaoru's an enigma to beware of. Even though his juvenile looks catch people off guard, he has no markings that indicate any delinquency such as scars or tattoos. Yet.

» Natural Abilities:

• Master Archer: As the direct descendant of two legendary Quincies, Houyi and Chang'e, Kaoru has been blessed with accuracy that can only described as godlike. His ancestors were incredibly renowned in Ancient China that they were eventually deified and put into their creation myth. Houyi's powerful yet meticulous aiming as well as Chang'e's gracefulness--all put into this one tiny body. So scarily accurate, this level of marksmanship seems to carry on towards other little projectiles such as rocks or pebbles, guns, knives, and even something as basic as pencils. His eyes can pinpoint an exact location or target in less than a second before shooting his desired projectile. He's naturally attuned to the wind and gravity around him, so aiming is literally just child's play. Although aiming is incredibly effortless for Kaoru, he does excel especially with bows. At normal, Kaoru can fire over two thousand to three thousand arrows without ever stopping.
  
  
  -- Path Control: Kaoru is capable of curving his arrows after firing them simply through mental control alone. They essentially act like homing missiles that follow the intended target(s). He can control multiple arrows simultaneously without hindering himself, though it is likely beyond his ability to manipulate the path of thousands at once without breaking out in sweat.
  
  -- Negation of Attacks: f a quincy can use these arrows precisely, they can to a point they can negate another attack on impact. To do this, the charges the arrows with a sufficient amount of power, and fires them to strike an incoming projectile. However because of morden Quincy style’s, this use has fallen out of use, however a few old style Quincy still use this a thump. Kaoru can do this not with just one charged single arrow but multiple arrows of small but equally distributed power.
  
  
  
  
• Spiritual Awareness: As a spiritual being, the Quincy can sense Hollows and other spiritual beings at a significant distance or tell in what direction they are in. Quincys are well known to sense the distance to any hollow, and capable of telling how much spiritual power a person has from a simple glance, making them living radars, only a small handful of beings are capable of not being able to appear to a Quincy.
  
  
• Immense Speed: Kaoru has a decent amount of speed that far outclasses what a human athlete is ever capable of without achieving supernatural powers. He can do multiple things at once, or at least give the illusion of doing so, due to his immense speed. He can avoid an attack and strike a blow not even half a second later. This sadly contributes to having a low defense, because one can not focus on being able to take hits and avoid hits at the same exact time. He can run faster than a cheetah on ground and take sharp turns without inertia backfiring on him. Short bursts of speed are available at all times, so long as he has surface to help himself with, which he can use to create afterimages. In addition, his reflexes correspond very well with his natural speed and allows him to act at a moment's notice.
  
  
• Peak Human Strength: Kaoru lacks power in his melee attacks, however he is still considerably stronger than average human beings. He can punch through stone if given maximum force behind it and land kicks that could shatter bones on a normal person. Sadly, it doesn't do much on a supernatural being. If he combines this with his speed, he can create fairly massive force with the help of accelerating velocity force. So, multiply his normal strength by incredulous speed, he could potentially land a punch with the force of an automobile.
  
  
• Reishi Manipulation: Because Kaoru is a Quincy, he is capable of absorbing nearby spiritual energy to combine with his own in order to form weapons or tools. This is much easier in places filled with higher concentrations of spiritual energy laying about, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo, but Kaoru is able to do this in the Living Realm as well. Mostly, Kaoru uses the absorbed spiritual energy for offensive purposes, but it also seems to serve for defensive or even utility purposes.
  
  
  -- Hirenkyaku Expert: Perhaps it's because Kaoru is naturally quick, he has also mastered the use of Hirenkyaku. He can easily catch up with Shunpo or Sonido Masters and not result in stamina loss, given that they distribute themselves equally to him. Due to his mastery and natural speed, Kaoru is able to create multiple afterimages with this technique. Because he is only so strong when it comes to physical strength, it only serves as an escape tool or a method of ambushing (i.e. catching physically stronger opponents off guard). With this ability, Kaoru can remain standing in the air. It differs from Shunpo and Sonido that it doesn't only allow him to move quickly, however that seems to be its main function for most Quincy.
  
  -- Ransotengai: A high level technique which allows the user to control their body parts using strings of Reiryoku controlled by their brain, forming lines or strings made of Reishi. Using this technique, the Quincy can control their body like a marionette, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force which would impede normal movement.
  
  
  

QUINCY BOW

• Taiyang: Chinese for "Sun." This is Kaoru's replica of the bow Houyi formerly wielded several thousands of years ago. Blessed with the power of sunlight, this bow is focused on providing offensive abilities that can potentially destroy opponents depending on their usage, however it does have defensive capabilities as well. It is a bright orange in color with a flare of yellow and red steaming out from it, almost resembling the structure of a sun. It is a longbow that's slightly taller than him in size, however unique in design as per being a Quincy. When viewed from the front it looks like an 'X' with a handle in the center for him to grab. When the two 'bowstrings' are pulled, a sizzling arrow forms before shooting out wherever it is Kaoru aimed at.
  
  
  -- Kokuten (黒点, lit. Sunspot): As mentioned above, this bow specializes mostly in offense, meaning this is Kaoru's main bow for use during a battle. Kaoru shoots an arrow that's fairly massive in comparison to his normal arrows. When it reaches its destination, it creates an eruption (like a volcano's) of red radiation, which shares an appearance of flames and magma. The eruption is rapid and strong in terms of force, meaning not only can the heat and radiation hurt the intended target but also the blunt force. It works like an explosion. It's not entirely large in scope, barely encompassing eight meters in diameter but it can be shot in rapid succession. The arrows are usually shot from above lest Kaoru wants to risk getting hurt by it as well.
  
  -- Kyokujitsu (旭日, lit. Rising Sun): An ultimate technique of Taiyang, which Kaoru doesn't utilize until he is at risk of dying. This can potentially kill him as well, hence he prefers to not use it unless absolutely necessary. Firstly, shoots a tiny bolt into the air above him. He is then given several seconds to evacuate the vicinity, which also means the opponent also is given several seconds, though given the initial scope of the attack it is less likely for them to attempt it. Once it reaches the atmosphere above him, it compacts into a sphere then expand. Kaoru essentially creates a sun, whose temperature reaches above catastrophic levels to the extent that energy attacks dissipate when nearing it.
  
  The sun will remain still in the air, its appearance and function exactly like that of an actual sun, but simply smaller in size--compacted, if you will. There is, however, a certain condition he must make before this may actually be used in an optimal fashion. He must be heavily injured. Its based on the rule that its full power can only happen if Kaoru's on the verge of death or injured to the point of collapsing.
  
  
  
  
• Yueliang: Chinese for "Moon." This is Kaoru's replica of the bow Chang'e formerly wielded several thousands of years ago. Blessed with the power of moonlight, this bow is focused on providing utility abilities that can potentially wear down opponents through strategic means, however it does have offensive capabilities as well. It is amethyst in color with a brightness that resembles a moon. It is a longbow similar to Taiyang, however the frontal view does not have an 'X'. In fact, the frontal view is a simple vertical line just like a normal bow. However, it has three bowstrings instead. As Kaoru pulls the first bowstring, it also pulls along the second and third bowstring as well. The way the bowstrings are placed, it resembles a harp.
