General Information

Name: EMIYA, the heroic spirit
Nickname: Archer
Appearance Age: 20
True Age: Aparently, he is over 9000 years old, possibly even older. His actual age seems to even exceed Shimura, something that should be impossible. Only Rin knows the truth.
Gender: Male
Element: His Element is very unusual - instead of an actual element, Reiatsu or even time, his element is: Blades. Only those of his lineage are known to have this element, and even amongst them, it is very rare.

Overall Appearance

Personality: ~Anti-Social~
Archer is not someone you would invite to a party - not only because he wouldn't show up anyways, but because of how cold he acts. Not caring for anyone, always alone, if you get a chance to see him, he looks like a lone statue facing the greatest storms in history. It's rare to see Archer smile at all, in fact, he claims to not have smiled in over 3000 years. He aparently cares little even for his own family, not returning to the lands of the Sugiura even once after the great war in which he participated.

~Broken Ideals~
Once, Archer followed the ideal to save everyone. After an unknown event shattered all of his hopes and dreams into peaces, he fell into a deep depression that holds him until this very day. He doesn't believe in ideals anyone, and those with strong ideals will usually have to face Archer as their worst enemy - he claims to be the enigma they can't defeat, the power that crushes their dreams and lifes to show them reality. The warrior claims it is mercy that he shows by doing that - killing an idealist is better than having him live until his ideals betray and backstab him, for he knows that pain.
His ideal from way back was simple - to save everyone, no matter the cost. How exactly it was shattered is not known, but it aparently happened during the great war of the Sugiura.

~Cynism and Sarcasm~
One big point anyone who ever talked with Archer knows is his gigantic sarcasm and cynism. His voice seems to be permanentlsy annoyed and mocking partially, often pointing out the fails of a person. One of his most memorial quotes is "Take your meaningless pride to the dogs", which he said to a Shinigami that died by refusing to eat dog meat as a human before fighting and killing him. Enraging his opponents, he is often able to calmy analyze them.
He also is not above hurting peoples feelings with his words, often mercilessly beating someone down with words only. He even brought rulers and kings to break down and commit suicide with it. His incredible memory is what helps him with that, giving out every possible traumatic event he saw for the person, and adding how much it is their fault.

~Anti-Hero~
Despite his usually 'evil' actions and methods, Archer actually still believes in his ideal - at least a bit. His methods have changed to where he would kill one person to save another, but it still actually pains him to see someone die - killing all would-be heroes is something he truely considers mercy on his side, and while he always talks like he does that on a daily basis, he only took down three wannabe-heroes in total in his entire lifespan. And those were idiots that actually believed to be heroes while being cruel ignorants.
This goes so far that Archer is actually the character of a legend in the lands of the Sugiura - once the land or the people are in grave danger, the hero of many weapons will come to their rescue, painting the ground red like his mantle that he wears to keep the blood invisible.

~Big Sofite~
Under that thick, anti-social and 'badass' shell, Archer can be a real sofite. He's always questioning himself and each new ideal he picks up only to discard it, thanks to his past memories. The only one who still knows this side of the hero is his own Guardian Beast, the spirit Rin. Understanding each other, the bond between them is so strong that it is said to be able to transcend time and space as long as they are both forever searching for each other, making the bond they share unbreakable.

Appearance:Archer, the nameless Hero Archer
Archer is a tall man, with slightly tanned skin and completely white hair. His eyes are in an unusual grey, looking as if they are actually metal instead of pupils, but they are actually normal. His black clothing consists out of a shirt that shows off his well-build body, and black pants. His red clothing on the upper body is held together by a metal plate on his back, and the sleeves end in gem-like objects that help reduce the force Broken Phantasm puts on Archers hands. Without them, they wouldn't be useable by now anymore. Like the lower part of a mantle, the red cloth is held by a metal belt around his waist. On his feet, Archer wears black boots.
Height: 1,90 meters

Natural Abilities

Guardian Beast

Sacred Weapon:Archer, the nameless Hero Archerbow
His Sacred is a rare permanent-release type. Unlike most of them, it doesn't take on the form of a blade by default - it has the shape of a bow. However, the string can disappear whenever it is needed, and the bow can split into two curved swords that don't have a special ability of their own, apart from being incredibly durable and sharp enough to damage steel at least a bit.

Guardian Beast: Archer, the nameless Hero Archerandrin
The name of EMIYAs Guardian Beast is Rin. Apart from having a rather short name, she has a completely humanoid form, which is the only one she possesses - how she can harbor the power to unleash the final magic, Reality Marble, is a mistery in itself.
Rin has a tomboy nature, but is also very caring for her master. In fact, she is the only person able to fully understand the heroic spirit, as she was at his side at all times. Apart from sharing his sense of sarcasm and some cynism, she can be gentle at times, and usually tries to justify her and Archers actions to those accusing them of evil deeds. She sometimes tends to openly attack people insulting Archer at times, though, leashing out with her ability to summon two single flying blades as a summoned Guardian Beast.
Her bond with Archer is extremely deep. Reaching back to the first times EMIYA appeared on any world, while both lost memory of how they met, they've always been together, strengthening each other. When Archers ideals betrayed him, she was the one who kept him from simply giving up living. While Archer aparently had descendants at a point roughly 8000 years ago, it is unknown who the mother of this offspring was - but seeing the close connection of him and his Guardian Beast, it might actually be possible that not only the blood of the heroic spirit and Sugiura Blood, but also the blood of a Guardian Beast flow within the veins of his descendants until this very day.
It is said that Rin did not look like she does today all the time in her existance - most likely, she changed her appearance like Archer changed his when he repeatedly used Projection.

Guardian Beast's World: The inner world of Archer and Rin takes on the shape of a deserted small town. While everything looks like the inhabitans vanished just moments ago, a thick pile of dust covers most of it nowadays. The city even looked more and more modern as time passed, but stopped somewhere in the early 21st century.
Only one house in the entire town is not covered in dust, and it is were Rin resides. Besides a living room with a TV that shows the outside world to her, Rin also has a kitchen on the ground floor, while there is a bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor. All in all, it's a rather small house.

Techinques: ~Steel is my Body, Fire is my Blood~
Being the victim to many bladed attacks in the past, Archer developed a skin similliar to Hierro. As long as his Reiatsu is still high, he can weaken full hits and negate attacks only hitting him a little. This ability diminishes when Archer uses up his spiritual energy, until his skin becomes like a normal mortals skin upon reaching half strength.

~The Housewonder~
Never tell anyone, but Archer is actually very skilled at housework - aparently because Rin is helpless in it, he learned it. Seeing as most of the time, she is summoned in reality at his side, but never seen doing anything even remotely resembling housework, this might just be the case. EMIYA even kept up with time and knows how to use the most modern cleaning technology, but that doesn't mean he really likes it.

~I am the Bone of my Sword~
When holding a newly created blade, Archer automatically takes in the basics of combat with said weapon. He will never be able to master a blade, and doesn't even want to do that. Just the basics of many fighting styles are enough for him. The only weapon he is masterful with is his blade-bow, which is his Sacred and thus, Rins manifestation of power.

~Eye of Piercing~
Archer has accuracy out of this world. Training his entire life to achieve this, and still training to keep this skill sharp, he is able to snipe a fly out of the air from 5 miles away with a slingshot, so to speak. His blades are deadly accurate. The five miles are for stationary targets - moving ones are generally harder to hit. Still, his eyes far outclass normal Sugiura or even Quincy.

~Telekinesis~
EMIYA possesses a special type of Telekinesis. It doesn't allow him to control everything, but rather, allows him to control his own weapons in a special manner - he can make them float behind him, and hurl them at his opponents at high speeds. The blades can't change directions once thrown. Broken Phantasm is basicially an enhanced version of this.

~Arrow Production~
In order to use his blade-bow, Archer can materialize arrows. They have the same power that steel would have with a highly powerful sport bow, about the power of a normal gunshot, but fly a bit slower. Also, Archer can not rapid-fire them.

~Counter Blood~
As the blood of the counter guardian grows weaker with each death, he can only withstand and defy death three times. After that, the next death is final. So that the world always has a counter-guardian, Archer can make anyone with his blood a new one, but only those that can control the Reality Marble would withstand the pain. Once a true counter-guardian is found, Archer can't use this skill again.

~So as I pray~
Archers magic was always outstanding, but this is the main reason why: He is able to increase any spells power by chanting a verse, similliar to Kido. This is a giveaway what spell he will cast for those that know Sugiura Magic, and delay their use a bit, of course, but make them more effective. Some examples:
Bring about the ultimate defense, the one that deflects the taints of worlds, projected out of life, the shield that never breaks - Rho Aias!
Thunder from heavens, piercing stone, breaking even air, the one that shoots it down. Barrier of gods, furry of storms, the power to split apart and protect - I summon, Shinkai!

~Eye of the mind~

Archer is able to handle most of his battles with a calm and amazing demeanor, in his battles. This is due to a slightly innate ability he picked up through the years of much training, and battle. The mind's eye, it's Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduces an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. So long there is even a 1% chance of a comeback, this ability greatly improves the chances of winning. It also allows one to have a sixth sense for danger. This ability can be learned through many years of battle, and is quite useful in assessing the right battle method, in order to provide Archer with the correct strategy to keep up with opponent's, even if they can find themselves overpowering him, with this ability, he can almost instantly turn battles in his favor.

Magic: Shitenoou Nanatsu no Enkan(熾天覆う七つの円環 Lit: The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens): often, called rho aias, by most this is a powerful defensive spell, that can only be utilized by mid-level to very high level sugiuras, as it takes a supply of high amounts of reaitsu to supplement it. It takes the form of a seven layered barrier with the shape of an iridescent flower with seven petals. Formed out of a Strong Reaitsu user's palm. Each layer has the defensive power of a fortress wall, however it is necessary for the user to fill the barrier with the use of strong reaitsu, should the barrier be broken, the user will feel pain in accordance. which depending on the number of times it is used, could be quite costly to the user, if they are not so much as an ounce careful in using this spell, with one with a full powered reaitsu, this could block off High level cero oscuras, as well as other wise costly attacks. such as explosions, Furthermore, if more sugiuras are around the area, they could ultimately create a Massive defensive force, making this a formidable technique in numbers.
Also, it is said that Archer was the first user of this technique over 8000 years ago.

Ten no Kusari(天の鎖Lit: Chain of Heaven): said to hold the power of "commanding to gods". this creates a long spiritual chain out of any of the user's Reaitsu, they must also cut their arm and have a drop of blood run over the chain, in which the appearance now takes that of a real chain. It's a mid-level spell, that is best used for escape. by wrapping the chain around the opponent's entire body, it binds them and the use of moving their body. it grows stronger, in reply to how the reaitsu of the binded opponent does, thus the larger their reaitsu grows, the chain continues holding a powerful hold over their body, however it's main weakness is that, to a simple opponent with low reaitsu or people that can cloak their reaitsu, it is no more then a simple chain.

Boundary Field of Alert: A basic spell not suited for combat. It can be erricted around a rather large area and will alert the user of anyone entering, unless they can completely mask both Reiatsu and visibility, since the field checks for both things. Nearly all Sugiura are able to at least protect their own home with one of those. If the user is asleep, he/she will instantly wake up once someone intrudes the field.

Boundary Field of Hiding: Another basic shielding spell, this renders an object or person inside a seal on the ground, drawn out of Reiatsu of the user, invisible to the naked eye. However, Reiatsu can still be sensed, and the object/person is still there - noises can be heard, and the objects can still be touched. The largest recorded Boundary Field of Hiding at one time was big enough to fit Shimuras mountain into it completely. It needs a constant supply of spiritual energy to stay active.

Boundary Field of Destruction: A seal on the ground that is more of a trap than an active attacking spell. Once someone steps on the invisible seal on the ground, the boundary field is set loose by the user, and a stream out of pure energy or energy of the element the user has shoots out of it, damaging the trespasser. A skilled user can turn a normal area into a minefield. If one is VERY skilled with detecting spiritual energy, it is possible to sense the fields.

Boundary Field of Isolation: A combination of sealing and barrier techniques, this can store an object into a pocket dimension. A seal will appear on whatever object or body part it is sealed in, the size depending on the power and size of the object itself. Sealing a Sacred inside someones arm, for example, would turn the whole arm into the sealing point. The seal can be revoked only by the user, and it is not possible to seal the powers of someone else forever, unless the own power far exceeds the power of the sealed object. A variation of this can only be used by Shimura, and this variation can even seal people, Guardian Beasts or Sacreds until she wishes them released, making the most dire and feared punishment in Sugiura Law not death, but eternal sealing.

Blood Fort Andromeda: Actually, this is just the alias name of the Boundary Field of Blood. Creating a sealing circle out of the own blood of the user, it extends into a dome that can extend according to the users Reiatsu. Those inside of it can leave the area, and those outside can enter without problems. However, once you are inside an activated Blood Fort, your body strength and Reiatsu will slowly be absorbed into the user of the field, strengthening themselves. Weaker individuals will be molten by the powers of this field into a puddle of slimy blood, giving it the name it has. Both the drawing of the sealing and using enough Reiatsu to extend it is very taxing, which is why usually multiple Sugiura use one of these fields together, or take a long time preparing it, sometimes over weeks.
This is one of the few magics banned by Shimura - it is forbidden to teach it, talk about it, or use it, because of how many died because of this magic in wars long forgotten. Blood Fort Andromeda is maybe the strongest spell to ever exist in Sugiura History.

Hoi: Designates a person as the target of the spell.

Joso: Designates an area as the target of the spell. Needs a high focus (Sacred drawn) and more Reiatsu.

Ketsu: Creates a barrier around the target enemy or area. The barrier can be used as a defensive messure around oneself, or to trap enemies for a short period of time. Enemies of the same or higher strength can break the barrier with a bit of effort. With a drawn Sacred, the barrier gets stronger.

Kai: Releases the barrier without causing damage.

Metsu: Collapses the barrier inwards, damaging all trapped inside. The more Reiatsu is used, the more devastating the explosion inside the collapsing barrier is. Can be used without a Sacred, the sword makes it stronger, however.

Tenketsu: Opens a dimensional rift in the barrier, disorting the Reiatsu of the one trapped inside, weakening the victim with time. Enemies that are far weaker than the user can be killed by this effect. Can only be used with a Sacred.

Zekkai: Using negative energy, the Suigara fires out an energy attack at the enemy, or repells an attack. A dark aura circles around the user of this technique. It does not require the use of a barrier beforehand, but a Sacred is needed. Since this increases negative feelings inside the user, frequent use is not recommoned, since it can cause depressions, destructive bloodrages or even suicidical thoughts.

Shinkai: Often called the strongest of the Suigara magics, this either creates a huge energy shield in front of the user to not only block, but reflect incoming attacks, or fires out many energy blades onto the target. This technique drains a huge amount of Reiatsu from the user, but has extreme force. If a target gets specified with the weaker spells, the attack has homing abilities. Without a Sacred, it can be deadly to even attempt to use it. Weaker Suigara would kill themselves by casting this.

Nenshi: Another way of binding, this creates a glowing energy thread in the collor of the Reiatsu of the user. It can be used to bind an enemy in place, struggle or torture him. It is connected directly to the palm of the user. This can be used without a Sacred.

Sekkai: Developed to be used against Suigara techniques and Bakudo, this can disrupt barriers by quite a bit, making it easier to break free.

Shuufuku: A healing spell that heals wounds and restores damaged objects. It first creates a weak barrier around the object or person, and then restoring Reiatsu is funeled into the barrier.

Shikigami: This creates small paper dolls that the user can use as measures of spying on enemies, since the user sees everything the small papercut does.

Musou: A technique to highten the body of the user. Pumping Reiatsu into the muscles, they get faster, react better and stronger, but give up capabilities with magic casting at the same time. Lasts for about 20 minutes.

Gekidou: is a Special Sugiura Magic that can, Create a strong Prism made out of the color of the user's Reaitsu around the opponent, effectively catching them and trapping them inside the prism. Similar to Six ways of binding light, it explodes when you make contact on the user, by an attack or even a punch, often causing damage into the body of the enemy from the powerful reaitsu being pushed down on their body. This Can be used without a sacred and depends more on the reaitsu of the user. In order to completely trap them however, you must be able to fully see them and they have to be at least a bit of a mile close into your radius to do so.

Kyuusaisha: is a technique that utilizes calling on the help of another sugiura, when in their respective area they can create a small telekinetic message throughout the area to one specific Sugiura to go to their aid if they are being ganged up on or even in a very horrible and unlikely situation. Depending on the Reaitsu Level and tier. they can send more messages. This can be used without a Sacred or with a sacred to call on more help.

Guardian Beast Unsealed

Joushou: ~Projection~
Archer can analyze the basic structure of an object by simply looking at it with his 'third eye', an invisible sense that he can use. Scanning the basic arrangement of elements and Reiatsu, he is able to copy and produce swords that look exactly like his opponents weapons, but lack all special powers - they are 'empty' inside, and are mere steel blades most of the time. Projection can be used repeatedly and the created blades can be hurled at opponents with Telekinesis, and this is Archers main way of attacking.
The scanning of an enemy sword doesn't take more than a split second. Against enemies with just one sword, this is rarely helpful, and Archer has to use Projection to create blades he saw before - because each and every sword he has seen is stored within his memory, a giant databank of blades. It is said even in his dreams, Archer only sees bladed weapons, in a wide open field, scattered about.
The maximum speed his blades can be thrown at is Mach 10.
The durability of a Projected weapon is 1/3 of the original.

~Alteration~

This is a step between projection and tracing, sort of a middle ability between the two. The intermediary step between Reinforcement and Projection, it gives an object an ability or affect, that it didn't originally have. If Archer has blades, he's able to increase the cutting power of the weapons greatly, extending them to different lengths, while packing them with Spiritual energy and magic. If he's using his broken phantasm's, he can increase the damage of the projected weapons or traced weapons, and cause a massive explosion around a designated area. He can never give the weapons any other ability, that is different from the existence of the original wielder's blade. Meaning, he can only do things that coincide with the existence of the blade, this means that he can give extra heat, onto a traced flame weapon, or make a ice weapon have colder properties to affect the opponent. it would go the same for the other elements, in many different ways, while mysterious blades, would vary, depending on the properties that the traced weapon already holds. This, allows Archer to endure many battles, as well as making his traced weapons, more powerful.

Zenou: ~Trace On~
Normally, the powers of any sword are in some connection to a spirit, or story. Trace is an ability that reaches far beyond the seen boundaries, into the essence of a weapon - and understands it. A blade that is 'traced' can be copied with more perfection.
While it still is only an imperfect copy without real meaning to Archer, he now has the power to use the first few abilities of a weapon. For a Zanpakuto, that is usually Shikai - for a Sacred, he can almost always copy the entire Joushou and maybe one or two Zenou techniques. However, there is a limit on this. He can't copy transformation-powers, so Arrancar-blades are the same even when Traced. The same goes for all Zanpakuto and Sacred that insert power and transform the body of the user rather than giving the blade itself more power.
A traced weapon can still be controlled by telekinesis and thrown at Mach 10 speeds. The usual durability of such a copy is 1/2 of the original, and the same goes for the power of all copied abilities.
While Projected weapons can always be 'saved' into Archers memory, traced weapons only remain if they have 'history'. Legendary weapons, the weapons of a leader, a weapon that killed a whole nation - those kinds of swords can always be remembered and traced again. A normal Shinigamis sword will only be able to be traced again if it was 'touched by fate' and the Shinigami has a destiny he doesn't know about. The same goes for a Sugiuras Sacred. [in Rp terms, that means: no NPC-blades can be copied to simply give Archer lolmanypowers.]
In short, only swords with a strong story are inside of his mind for as long as the story holds.

~Broken Phantasm~
If a weapon has no meaning to you, you might as well discard it. Broken Phantasm is a technique build on that principe. Filing a blade with Reiatsu, Archer turns it into an Arrow and fires it at his opponent, causing an explosion. He can even charge multiple blades hovering and fire them off at his maximum speed, but their power is reduced if he does that. Traced weapons deal more damage with this skill than Projected weapons. He can even pack broken weapons with a discharge of reiatsu, which appears in red color. By firing them with the reaitsu, he can either cause the weapon to implode over the area of the opponent, then explode, or for quick fire and a slightly higher damage output, he can fire the weapon and cause an explosion. This depends on the power of the traced weapons, and how much reaitsu he decides to use on the weapon in question.

Kyuu Kyou: Archers Kyuu Kyou is quite special. While others are a 'simple' 100% Release of the Guardian Beasts power, EMIYA releases both Rins full power and the full power of Sugiura Magic, warping reality itself - the power of a Reality Marble, to turn his inner mind into the outer world. To perfom this task, Archer has to speak the full chant of his Kyuu Kyou.

"I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Not known to death, nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet those hands will never hold anything
So, as I pray... Unlimited Blade Works!"

Upon activation, a ring of fire that can't hurt anyone, but protects Archer from attacks, errupts from his body in a circular fashion, and turns the entire Battlefield into his Reality Marble, the Unlimited Blade Works. In this reality, there are hundreds upon thousands of blades scattered throughout the dusted wasteland, each and every one created out of Archers Reiatsu. All swords he has ever seen and copied are here, and with a simple command of his mind, he can teleport them from their resting place into his hands, or make them hover above him, so that he can hurl them at his opponents. All weapons in this plane are 'Traced' if they can be traced. Traced weapons have 3/4 of their strength inside of Unlimited Blade Works.
Even after using a blade for Broken Phantasm, Archer can quickly form it again, with nearly no recharge-time. All in all, Unlimited Blade Works increases the power of Projection, Trace and Broken Phantasm to the absolute maximum.
However, a power this great doesn't come without a big drawback. Unlimited Blade Works slowly turns the user himself into a blade - this skill can only be used for up to 5 posts without danger. Afterwards, Archers bones start to turn itno blades that pierce out through his skin - a 6th post can be made in this mode with little damage to himself, but 7 or more will hurt his body very badly. 9 posts would mean instant death.
Archer, the nameless Hero Archer-UBW33143

List of Blades:

Excalibur - If traced, the sword can cut through illusions, otherwise it is a giant one-handed and sharp piece of metal. Archer can use it since he grasps the basic concept of Excalibur. Maximum usage is 2 posts, with 2 posts cooldown since it is so strong.
The Emperors Blade - The sword used by Otoya. Since Archer can't use the blades power to transform, tracing it only increases it's durability. 2 posts normal Durability, 3 posts traced.

Megamikaze - The sword of Misaiko Sugiura. With Tracing, he is able to copy 1/3 of it's strength and the first release. Maximum usage with Tracing: 2 posts.

Caladolbolg-Archer can use this, within unlimited blade works, as well as being able to use it, outside of the reality marble. It is a powerful conceptual weapon, that he traced, when he had battled along side a irish born woman, during his times of a hero. since it was a great story for the man, he traced the weapon. While he cannot use it with it's full abilities, due to a "Geis" that the weapon holds, he can fire it with a huge amount of ferocious power. The formidable damage of this weapon is equivalent to a cero oscuras, in terms of power. It's able to cause a massive explosion from being fired, and cause the area to ignite in flames, that can last for hours on end, if not tended too. Not only does it do this, it is even capable of causing the space that it hits to distort, making it very hard to dodge, even at the last moment. To put it simply, it is simply an attack that one cannot raise let their guard down against, and is only capable of being stopped by high level defensive kido, and even stronger sugiura magic. Making it one of Archer's more favored weapons.

Hrunting-This was another weapon, that he traced during his times as a hero. Him and his former great friend gilgamesh, traveled the lands on earth, and met with a man who held the conceptual weapon known as hrunting. After seeing the man use it in battle, Archer was amazed by the skill of the weapon, and how the man was able to pull through so many situations, despite his age. This led to him tracing the weapon. In terms of broken phantasm damage, Hrunting is on the level of the basic cero. While this may not seem like much on it's own. Once fired, it turns into a magical bullet enveloped in a red light that reaches speeds of Mach 10 on the most direct path to its target, and it will continue to pursue the target, even if parried, repulsed, or avoided, as long as the shooter keeps aiming at the target. While it is normally impossible to change targets after firing, he is able adjust for such possibilities and have a single path be capable of striking two enemies. He can project hrunting up to 9 times, since it doesn't require a lot of energy. As long as he is aiming at his opponent hrunting will continue to aim at his opponent until the target either deflects or obliterates it with an attack more powerful then it's self.

Unnamed Swords - Scattered throughout his mind are hundreds upon hundreds of swords, scimitars, katanas, daggers, even axes, all without history or name that Archer would care to remember. Crying out with voices he hears, but doesn't listen to, they are nothing but ammunition for the warrior, who uses them with Projection and Unlimited Blade Works to shoot down his enemies. Amongst them are Sacreds, Zanpakuto and even the blades of numerous Arrancar, all without powers, even if he would use Tracing. Their story is too weak to reach through the centuries.

History/Roleplay Sample

Character Background:
~The Beginning~
When the worlds were created, the land of the Guardian Beasts, which would house the Sugiura many millenia later, was a barren wasteland. Into this wasteland, the creators of it put a single entity to watch over it - EMIYA, the counter-guardian, given the power to defy death three times. The creators gave EMIYA one single task - to watch over their land in their stead, and to guard the children of this plane, which would later be known as the Guardian Beasts.
As the years passed, the dimension was slowly filled with life. The creators vanished without a trace, never to return, and the enormous spiritual energy they left behind shaped the souls of this dimension from the start. Watching over all of it, just sitting on a simple throne with his eyes closed, was EMIYA. Though it is unknown if he even had eyes back then, as his true form as a counter guardian is not known anymore.
After a long time - how long exactly can't be expressed in time alone - the first intelligent spirits were born, beings later known as Guardian Beasts. However, wars quickly errupted between humanoid and beast-like Guardian Beasts, one of the reasons why only compareably few humanoid beasts exist. Knowing that he couldn't tollerate such wars, EMIYA deciced to take action for the first time in his entire existance - but he made a fatal mistake. He was not neutral. After watching both the humanoid and beast-like spirits, he slowly fell in love with a female spirit of the humanoid tribe. A feeling unknown to him in his state, but it still was there - a failure in his creation process made this possible, because even the creators were not perfect beings.

Taking the humanoids side, EMIYA helped them strike back the beasts and saved them from excintion, instead of letting the best of them fight for superiority over the other race, as he should have. At the moment the war ended, the counter-guardian EMIYA died for the first time, as his faultless body dispersed his now impure soul, killing him.
However, his original, first power, couldn't save him - the power to defy death. Rin - the Guardian Beast he fell in love with - intervered, and they both got trapped in a state between life and death for centuries.

~The Second Start~
When fate started moving again in the lands of the beasts, EMIYA was released from his state between life and death by chance, together with Rin. Both lost their memories in the long time of imprisonment - - but Rin still knew what exactly EMIYA was. A being above Guardian Beasts that lost all of the once god-like power it had, and was now bound to the humanoid, red-haired body infront of her. Not knowing anything else, she decided to stick with him out of a whim.
Quickly, EMIYA noticed he wasn't like the real guardian beasts - he lacked any kind of supernatural powers, and was much like what people would call 'human' on earth. Of course, the more wild Guardian Beasts saw a nice meal in the two, and in one situation close to death, EMIYA was the first person ever to achieve what would later be called... a contract.
Fusing his powers with Rin, letting her enter his mind completely, his imagination and hers formed a bow out of steel. With one arrow, ten enemies fell, and the rest ran away. On this day, the nameless spirit took on the name of Archer - and he now was a being very similliar to the Sugiura which would alter roam this land. However, one thing about him was different - his bond with the Guardian Beasts. While Sugiura are chosen by their beast alone, and can't refuse, Archers 'contract' was made out of the will of them both, making him the first constant release type.
Seeing as he was never a true Sugiura, it is now also quite obvious why he never really calls out 'Zenou' or 'Kyuu Kyou' while changing into higher levels.

Soon after his discovery, Shimura - the first born Sugiura - appeared in the Guardian Beasts land, a being exceeding Archers powers by far. Observing from a distance at first, he finally joined the ranks of the Sugiura two centuries after their arrival. While Shimura never knew where Archer originated from, she also never asked him, respecting his silent nature about that topic. Swearing to protect both the Sugiura and the Guardian Beasts, unknown to himself, he took the route of a counter-guardian once more.

~Save the King~
Being a very strong Sugiura during their early times, he took on the role of the first Bodyguard of the king of the Sugiura, a role that would alter become known as the 'White Knight'. Becoming the closest guardian and advisor for Otoya, he also got to know Misaiko, but never met Takuri - she had already vanished by the time he joined the ranks of the new race. Around this time, he traced the blade of Misaiko Sugiura and Otoya, something that was met with quite the surprise. Many people admired the skill to copy every weapon - but one man despised it.
A man that collected weapons like noone else - Gilgamesh, king of heroes, as he was called. From the very first day they met, both were considered rivals. Just that one of them was a fair player, while the other one was not.

Shortly after being assigned as the Kings guardian - maybe two or three centuries later or a bit more - the first Sugiura War hit the lands. Going into battle at Otoyas side, the wars slowly made Archer question his ways, but he still kept to his creed to become a true hero to everyone, to save every life that existed. Little did he know that while he tried to make peace, Gilgamesh used his powers to cause fear and panic among their enemies, tearing apart whole armies alone. It was not until a certain event that Archer attained his full powers, a power able to compare to Gilgameshs Gate of Babylon.

Always fighting together, a close bond was between Rin and Archer since they awakened from their long time sealed away between existance and death. When Archer was badly wounded during a fight, Rin broke out of her usually tsundere nature and beat onto the injuried warrior, crying true tears of fear and also out of happyness that he was still alive, since that was truely a miracle. Admitting the feelings both now held within their hearts, it released the full power of a connection that reawakened the powers of a counter-guardian in the first place.
The next day, Archers wound was completely healed. Joining in late after Otoya and his son Kusaka rushed into battle.

~Unlimited Blade Works~
On the battlefield, Archer, strong and agile as ever, helped his king and friend until they had to seperate the armies. After finally convincing Kusaka to first take the injuried out of the heat, Otoya and Archer moved on.
"You are not who you seem to be."
Without any warning, Otoya said those words with a smirk.
"You are not a Sugiura, but not a Shinigami, either. You are a counter-guardian... a being of legend from this land. I finally realized after seeing it with my own eyes today... an injury that would've killed a normal Sugiura. You took the full hit, but your very skin deflected the blow, didn't it?" Still smirking, Otoya put a hand on the shoulder of his puzzled friend. "Many questions may still linger, but remember one thing. Two lifes - use them wisely, my friend. If anyone can be a hero, it's you."

In the battle that followed, they were suddenly ambushed. Quickly, Otoyas army was decimated greatly, and in order to survive, both saw no other way but to release their ultimate powers and save the last of their men. However, Otoyas release what not needed.
Unlimited Blade Works.
With those three words, an entire battle was won. The overwhelmingly large army was beaten by a gigantic number of blades, all with special powers that are lost nowadays. During this battle, though, Archer first saw Exbalibur used - and stored it inside of his memory. Little did Archer know that Gilgamesh gave the enemy the tip how to ambush Otoyas main force in order to take Archer and him down.

After their glorious but bloody return to the main kingdom of the Sugiura race, Archer and Rin settled down for a bit. With his new found power, the knight was sure he could become a hero - not knowing that Gilgamesh set his eyes on him even more now to destroy him, slowly realizing just what exactly Archer was. In this time of peace, Archer and Rin had two kids, a boy and a girl, which would later be the first of a family of Sugiura with 'the potential'. The blood that is needed to awaken the Reality Marble.

~Not known to Death, nor known to Life~
As fate would have it, Archer had to return into his duty as the White Knight before he wanted to. Their kids were only around 30 years old, considered kids by the standards of the Sugiura, one of the longest living races now known. Going into battle with Kusaka and Otoya together again, now with the Unlimited Blade Works and Kusaka finally being able to change into the Emperor Kiva form, they were sure to succeed in taking down the resistances without any problems - especially since Gilgamesh was riding with them into battle. Archer still did not suspect the king of heroes to be his enemy.

However, the whole war was nothing but a setup. The one who stirred up the old conflicts had been Gilgamesh, in another attempt to eliminate Archer, Otoya and even Kusaka, so that he would be the next King, as the strongest living Sugiura on the male side of the clan. His plan was easy - kill two of them, fraim the third one, and be glorified as a hero for killing the 'traitor'. His plan was set in motion when the armies, without fighting, got into a stalemate. None of them really wanted to shed the blood of fellow Sugiura. On that evening, a meeting was called together - but never happened. At night, a group of assassins attacked the camp, well trained by Gilgamesh himself.
Repelling the attack, Kusaka was badly wounded, and no notice of this attack reached the main lands. Besides Otoya and Archer, only a handfull of his most elite soldiers survived, and two of them were ordered to take the badly injuried prince back to the kingdom before he died from his wounds. Sensing something was wrong, Rin was too late to warn Archer when he drank a bit of water after the battle that Otoya prepared with a special sleeping tonic.

When the White Knight woke up, he quickly realized what Otoya planned - to repay the enemy with the same blood they took. However, he knew somehow that their enemy was not the tribe that suddenly declared war. Someone more powerful was at work, a simple militia could not have assassins this powerful.

Evading the enemy lines without much difficulty, Archer soon approached the village of the tribe who attacked them. As suspected, Otoya and his elite were driving together the scared civilians. Rushing in, he confronted his old friend and king, questioning him. In the middle of the village, at the totem of the Guardian Beast who was said to look over them, they stood, the flames of the torches reflected from scared faces.
"What are you doing, Otoya?! Can't you see that these villagers could never be the assassins?!" Shouting out, nobody but the White Knight could talk like this to the king and have it taken like a normal talk. The soldiers didn't even frown - at least not angry, but hit. They maybe thought the same thing, but Otoyas next words hit Archer like a storm of blades.
"You are too naive, Archer. The families of those killed will want blood. And we will never find the real assassins." Not looking into the face of his long-time friend, Otoya did so again after he was suddenly hit by a speeding fist, right into the face. A murmur was going through Otoyas elite, as the king was down on the ground in confusion.
"What good is there in a fake peace?!" The scream of Archer pierced the night - as a chill ran down his spine. Behind him.. something had emerged. Before he even realized with his eyes what was happening, his mind knew - he was going to die here. Right at this moment - behind him, it was opened. The Gate of Babylon. Standing there, smiling... Gilgamesh. Suddenly, it all made sense. Gilgamesh disappeared when the attack hit... no way some assassins could take him down. Archer and Rin cursed themselves for their carlessness.
"I am the bone of my sword! Steel is my body, fire is my..." Starting the incarnation anyways, Archer knew it was too late. The first blades started flying. Blood. Screams. Fire. A sword piercing his arm. Otoya falling to the ground. Rin screaming inside of his mind. Then Gilgameshs boots infront of his face. A painful kick that broke his nose.
"So this is the end of the faker. Sayonara, Archer." Then, it came down. A blade without recovery. Ea. With an explosion, the village vanished. Gone, forever. Had he just stayed back... and felt Gilgameshs Reiatsu, all of this wouldn't have happened. In his drive to save everyone around him, he condemned them all to death. Just because Gilgamesh wanted HIM dead. As Archer fell into darkness, only Rin could hear his scream. The scream of all the ideals he once had breaking apart.

"So... he killed me twice... in one hit..." Helping each other to even stand upright, Archer and Rin walked through a barren wasteland. They sneaked into the temple of Shimura once to warn her of Gilgamesh, and disappeared. Officially, they were now the murderers of Otoya, with Gilgamesh and the soldiers on his side as witnesses. It was cold here - up in the north of the Sugiura dimension. Breaking down besides a clear, running stream of water, both looked inside of it. Rin looked way younger than she did before, but still beautiful... but him? His hair white, his eyes grey, the skin tanned... like he had been standing infront of a forge for centuries, driving out the color of his hair and giving his eyes the color of his steel he forged, while his skin turned to leather. On this day, the spell for Unlimited Blade Works changed. How exactly, nobody knows today.
Clinging onto Rin, who wasn't as hurt as her host for some point, both cried tears of anger and sorrow. Tears nobody would dry. On this day, both made a decision. They would find all those in their lines with the ability to create a Reality Marble...
And eliminate them.
"The Reality Marble... in the end, what it did was bringing death to those around me without even being active. A hero... a hero will never exist."

Today, Archer is nothing but a myth. The stories about him being a kingslayer slowly disappeared, as Gilgamesh was banished and braded an outlaw thanks to Archers final testimony towards Shimura, but the White Knight never returned to his homeland. Only few to claim to have seen the counter-guardian - rescuing the land from the most evil forces. And even fewer know the fact that he does indeed still care - but has given up hope. To crush hopes is his job, so that others don't get killed by their ideals.

He is the broken, nameless hero, nowhere near being EMIYA anymore. He is...
Servant Archer. The Servant of a dead king.
