UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRIT EATERS
THE HOLLOWS OF PLATINUM HEARTS
I. What are the PH Hollows?
Hollow are very unique and strong beings originally born from human souls. Just as human souls can turn into 'pluses' before waiting for a Shinigami to make them cross over to the Soul Society, Hollows are former pluses that have lost their hearts to despair or regret. After their deaths however, they don't pass onto soul society - they are beings that remain in the human world, devouring both the souls of livign and deceased humans. Typically, the Hollow home world is within Hueco Mundo, but are capable of passing over to places such as Earth and Soul Society.
I. The Transformation Process
As previously mentioned, most human that die pass onto the Soul society after their deaths as spirits/souls. Hollows are to be considered the polar opposite of humans and shinigami/spirits. Although a lot of these spirits remain in the human realm after their deaths so they can aid other people, or fulfill a goal before passing onto the Soul Society. This may be in the form of helping a loved one through something from beyond the grave, or fulfilling their own personal problems that puts their heart to rest. As souls, they have very highly limited ability to interact with the living, being intangible and invisible to any other humans. Many spirits whom cannot cope with this become corrupted, drowning in their despair or regret; due to the impossibility of completing these goals. Due to this, they will often find themselves transforming into Hollows.
The process usually takes as long as a year to complete, but their bodies end up becoming morphed into many different types of "creatures" that the Hollow body has shown to have. The reason this takes so long is due to the "Chain of Fate" that protrudes from within their chest, the chain slowly decaying over time the more regret and despair they fall into. When the chain is entirely gone, the victim will eventually transform into a being known as a hollow, becoming obsessed with consuming even the closest human soul or body - no matter relationships, bonds or morality. Under certain conditions, they process of transformation can be accelerated, even sometimes to the point where Hollows can emerge almost instantly after the human has died, depending on the circumstances. This is usually done through instances of incredibly strong despair or spiritual powers aiding that cross over.
However, there are many different types of "hollows" that can form, or a spirits appearance may even change before they are completely a Hollow. Once the chain of fate has decayed enough, or totally, beings are capable of becoming things known as "demi-hollows". They are known as "Jibakurei", an Earthbound spirit which is in the process of evolving into a Hollow. It usually takes a while for the Jibakurei to evolve inot a full hollow, but this process can be sped up by either forcing a hole in their chest to open, or by other spiritual means. They are usually only seen when a human steps on their territory, and are very, very hard to be tracked by Shinigami and other creatures that use similar sensory.
I. Behavior and Attributes
Once a human soul has transformed itself into that of a Hollow, the being is usually driven by an insatiable hunger for devouring others, either souls or humans in general to try and fill this void of hunger. Whilst some Hollows can become quite aware of their targets or "smart" in the targets they aim for, most Hollows will usually devour the first target they see, as their mindless hunger drives them to that point of desperation. Some, however, usually search for more potent or satiable souls and humans for them to devour. Whilst most Hollows could be considered "evil" due to their unrelenting hunger and search for the eating of humans and souls, there are very few cases in which a Hollow might obtain peace of mind or maybe even "broken free" of those shackles. This is shown by people such as Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck's companions of "Pesche" and "Dondochakka" whom had free will and seemed like very friendly hollows.
Just as Nelliel and her subordinates were capable of having free will and generally being considered dormant and "good" hollows, the same could be said about many others. Looking at people such as Grimmjow's friends/companions whom sacrificed parts of their bodies and souls to make Grimmjow stronger and into an Arrancar for Aizen's army. This shows that Hollows can grow traits such as loyalty, or sadness, happiness, etc. Whether this is done through spiritual methods or through time, learning to satisfy their hunger or being born that way - there are plenty of ways in which Hollows can consume their mindless beast attitudes, however remains a difficult task.
I. Appearances
Hollows, essentially, come in all shapes and sizes. It doesn't exactly matter what size their bodies are nor what colour. However, despite all their differences - they do all have at least one underlying attribute that all Hollows have. Their faces are covered by a terrifying mask that is a major part of their appearance. The masks that cover their already, usually, terrifying bodies can range from a simple plain white mask to a mask that is covered in terrifying trival patterns and horns that are sharp as spear tips. The Hollow's mask is actually a rather large representation of many things about them, it can give away habits, powers or even their personality. As said, beyond their mask, they can be as small, as big or as terrifying as possible. Many hollows are usually terrifying in size, used to scare opponents and completely annihilate their prey. However many can be as small as a human, or even smaller. Some can even take the appearance of lizards or dogs, or similar sizes. Humanoid Hollows are usually a rarer appearance of Hollow too, people like Pesche being one of the few.
I. How To Kill A Hollow
Usually, there may be a special way to hurt or injure a hollow depending on the individual Hollow in question. A lot of Hollow have weak points that are often exploited by Shinigami whom have studied them or can simply overpower them. All typical Hollows have a single weakness, however. Slicing them straight through the mask, cleaving their "face" in two essentially. By doing this, the Hollow will begin to break apart and scatter into the atmosphere and the dead body will fade along with it. This is the most efficient way to dispell a Hollow and kill it, however typical injures that could kill a human can be applied to the Hollows as well, however they have proved to be more resilient and tougher opponents to this type of tactic. When a Shinigami has "killed" a Hollow with their Zanpakutō, they do not truly die. In fact, once slaying a Hollow, it is as if the Hollow is being purified of their sins as a Hollow and being turned into a plus, sent immediately to the Soul Society to live among the population there. If a Hollow is to infect a Shinigami, there is a chance they are capable of coming back as a Vizard, if gone through the right procedures.
Alternatively, when a Hollow is killed by a quincy, they are completely destroyed and cleansed. There is no plus being sent to Soul Society once a quincy has slain a Hollow with their spiritual weapon, they simply die and their body is destroyed forever. For this reason, the quincy are a scary thought for many Hollows. There is also a problem when quincy destroy Hollows as it has been said to "interrupt" or "throw off" the balance of the soul cycle. This has often been remedied and changed since the demon world and many other races became involved with the world, but still remains an issue for some of the Shinigami. If a hollow tried to infect a quincy and becoming it's variation of a "vizard", it will be destroyed. Quincy are considered to be poison to Hollows, so they will often be destroyed upon entering them, simply dispelling the Hollow and returning to normal. This is, of course, not always the case. Such beings as the Hohl Aquero have proven themselves to even maintain Arrancar or other Hollows within their bodies.

THE HOLLOWS OF PLATINUM HEARTS
I. The Gillian Hollow
Gillian, also known as Menos Grande, are considered one of the most common and "foot soldier" like Hollow among the Hollow race. Their name literally translated to "lowest great hollow". There are many hundreds of thousands of these types of menos, all looking very, very similar in appearance. Their general appearance takes on that of a, usually, kilometre tall, pitch black Hollow with a pure white mask that towers over almost everything. Their main method of attack is usually a cero, but there have been shown to be a few unique Menos Grande, but Gillian are the typically seen one. However, for many years prior to World War 3 and winter Wars many years ago, Menos Grande were very scarce and hard to find. Rukia actually said she only heard of them in text books and pictures, despite having been a shinigami for presumably many decades. Their most common method of attack is found to be in groups, the Gillian are capable of swarming areas and overrunning towns in their massive numbers. Aaroniero Arrurueri is the only gillian level Hollow to reach Espada level after becoming an Arrancar.
Their abilities are typical of a normal hollow, but considerably more advanced. As mentioned, their main method of assault can be based highly in their powerful blasts of red cero shot from their wide mouths. Atop of their powerful ceros, garganta are often used methods of travel among many Gillian level hollow. Other than this, Negacion is one of the only other abilities they possess as a Holow, which is capable of setting down beams of light to rescue their allies as proven by gillian class hollows which pull Aizen, Gin and Tousen into the garganta from above, pulling them off into Hueco Mundo.
Compared to normal Gillian, there are a special class which can be considered a "evolution" step. These Gillian are usually identified by a unique mask which shows they are capable of evolving to the next level of Hollow, which is titled Adjuchass Menos. This is accelerated and completed through the consumption of many other Hollows, as proven constantly by Grimmjow who devoured his allies and others who got in his way to become stronger.
I. Adjuchas Class
The Adjuchas Class Hollow, name translating to Intermediate Great Hollow, are the second classification of Hollows and less in number. Their size, in comparison to the kilometre tall Gillian class Menos Grande, is rather small and less intimidating. However, their appearances do change rather drastically when you compare it to the Gillian whom all look very much the same. The Adjuchas have been found to not only have very many varying colours of skin and masks, but many varying personalities. This stems from things such as being timid, or violent - even to something like depressed. These are Hollows that are capable of being unique, having unique attributes, powers and even prove themselves to be smarter, stronger or even scarier than most others of their class level.
Adjuchas class are actually capable of commanding Gillian class menos, as well. However they're not exactly creatures whom fight in packs like the Gillain prefer to do, however they can, if needed, call upon and command lower class Gillain to help them. It is said that Adjuchas class Hollow are capable of fighting on relative evenly footing with captains of the Gotei 13. The signature skills of the Adjuchas, on the other hand, are both very similar to normal hollows, but are actually known to have very powerful unique abilities. So just like the gillian class, Adjuchas can use very powerful ceros to blast away opponents, as well as having access to things like Garganta relatively easily.
The Adjuchas hollow also has a evolutionary step, just like the previous class. If the adjuchas continously devours hollows it comes across, they can make themselves stronger and stronger, merging these Hollows with their own bodies. If they stop suddenly eating these Hollows, however, they can become consumed by the thoughts of the consumed souls. This can tear them apart and actually demote their bodies back to being a Gillian class Menos Grande.
I. Vasto Lorde Class
The name Vasto Lorde literally means "Highest Great Hollow", which is an extremely fitting title for the power of these Hollows. These are considered the pinnacle of typical Hollow evolution, and the number of them within the universe are said to be capable of being counted on a single hand. They are hollows which are usually found to be extremely small, only akin to the size of an average human body and take on a humanoid figure. This is shown by Tia Harribel whom was a Vasto Lorde prior to becoming an Arrancar, having a humanoid by still majority covered in Hollowfied body. Just like the previous evolutionary steps, Vasto Lorde are driven by their need to cannibalize even other Hollows, whilst any special "creation" requirements of them remain unknown. It is considered extremely rare, only a few cases of Vasto Lorde existing.
The pure terrifying power of the Vasto Lorde is backed up by Hitsugaya saying that if there were more than ten Arrancar at Vasto Lorde level, Soul Society would be doomed and completely crumble. Their appearance is very different compared to other Hollows and each Vasto Lorde doesn't look the same, other than having a humanoid figure. The only trait required is that most if not all of their body is to be covered in their hollowed figure. Atop of this, the Vasto Lorde are still extremely unknown, so it is hard to justify or gather a scope of their signature skills or abilities. They do have access to the typical garganta, cero and general Hollow abilities - however they can also have unique and destructive personal powers, differing between each Vasto Lorde. If a Vasto Lorde turned Arrancar, it is likely their ressureccion powers will be akin to that of what they used as a Vasto Lorde.
I. Powers and Traits
Similar to how Shinigami have Kido and other techniques, Hollows have similar ones that can be either unique or available to all of their race. Hollows are usually capable of gaining this energy for "powers" by devouring souls as a Hollow, then being capable of using powers like Cero and so on.
Soul-Body Separation: This is a simple racial technique that most, if not all, Hollows have access to. In essence, this ability allows the Hollow to separate the living person from their spirits, forcibly dragging their spirit so they can either converse with their loved ones upon turning into a Hollow or for more sinister means. Whilst a common racial ability, Hollows are usually not found using such an ability as they normally hunt after pluses, rather than living human beings. If desperate enough, however, this can change and the Hollow is capable of separating the human spirit from their body. This also means that it is possible for a Hollow to extract a Shinigami from their Gigai, but this could prove... disasterous for the Hollow. But it is also shown to be able to reverse, in the same way. As Hollows can extract souls, Shinigami are capable of placing their souls into an artificial vessel and becoming visible in the human realm.
Acidic Touch: A rather passive and simple ability for all Hollows. In essence, this is the first form of defense for a normal Hollow, that if someone were to touch their skin they would be singed and their hands would be eroded and burnt as if acid was poured onto it. It is said this is extremely painful, and actually capable of letting the Hollow's Reiatsu into the victim's body.
Cero: This is a very powerful and extremely swift blast of energy that can be made by anyone infected by Hollows. It has been shown my some Gillian class hollows to blast even towns apart, their wide array of power being quite scary. As the classes of Hollows goes up, the power of their cero is also quite unique and strong. Most cero of basic Hollow have shown to be simply red in colour, whilst others like Vasto Lorde or Arrancar can have various ranges of colours. For an example of this is that Starrk has blue cero, Harribel has yellow, ulquiorra has green ceros, etc. A cero can also be shot from a variety of locations, each unique to the Hollow in question; this can be the tongue, finger tip, fist or even eyeball if one wished.
Garganta: Literally translating to "throat" in spanish and "Black cavity" in Japanese, Garganta is the method in which all Hollows use to travel between different realms. When in use, a black rift literally tears open the fabric of space and opens into a black rift of Darkness. The most common usage is to travel from Hueco Mundo to the living realm, but users whom are more adept at this can even use it in fights to actually open rifts of darkness to absorb attacks, and open a rift elsewhere to shoot it back at them. It highly depends on the skill of the user, as often even Vizards have been shown to open garganta during battle. Normal hollows only use this as a method of transportation, though. Many of the reasons Garganta is a very powerful tool is for it's utility and mass transportation which can hold endless numbers of "foot soldiers" or people within it.
Negacion: As previously mentioned under "gillian", Negacion is the technique in which Hollows can rescue or "extract" allies from a battle. The name literally translates to Negation in Spanish. Causing a garganta from the sky, a ray of light will shoot down onto the targets, as a few moments pass they will be dragged up and into the rift. This is usually done by Gillian whom are massive in size and can be commanded by other Hollow for easy "extraction" from dangerous areas.
High-Speed regeneration: Generally self explanatory, some Hollows are capable of having the ability to regenerate their bodies at their own will. However this is usually quite limited to the cutting off of limbs. This is usually more commonly found in Arrancar, however some Hollow's have learned to reform their bodies from damage. It is said that if they have taken drastic damage to organs and vitals, however, they cannot regenerate these easily (or not at all, depending on the Hollow), which allows them still very vulnerable. This is shown by Ulquiorra whom sacrificed even more raw power for the ability to regenerate his body.

Hollow Skill Writeup.

Cero/Bala: Cero's are highly explosive energy-based attacks that can be shot off from almost any part of a Hollow's body. Though traditionally, and most stably, it is shot from the mouth, until Vasto Lorde. Therefore, the higher you are in this field, the more powerful, precise and quicker your cero's or bala's become. Along with that, those with higher skills in Cero can charge their blasts faster and begin to learn varying custom Cero's. (I.E. learning how to make an ice based cero or fire based cero; one of the most common variants.)
Untrained: When this type of Hollow attempts to create a Cero, the attempt will be so uncontrolled that the attack is just as likely to blow up in their face, if they even have enough energy to do that to themselves. Typically, for this to happen, a Hollow has next to no training either by themselves, no advice given to them for forming these by their hollow or others, or is simply completely disinterested in cero, to the point of not wanting to learn anything about them. Typically, this is an indicator of spiritual energy deficiency; most individuals who have any interest in Kido or similar spiritual constructs tend to welcome the addition of cero and bala into their arsenal. For the untrained Hollow, cero is not simply foreign; it is typically completely unwanted by the user.
Beginner: A beginner of using Cero and bala typically has fired at least one in their lifetime successfully. It means that they have had the opportunity to loose a Cero, no matter what kind of degree of control it had. Typically, a user of Cero at this level will not have the ability to manipulate it in any deep or more meaningful ways. At this level, the most important thing for a Hollow to do in regards to their Cero is to continue training up its power. A beginner in Cero is unlikely to be able to loose more than a single solid Cero within a post, or may end up exhausting themselves if they try to output too much at once.
Adept: An adept in Cero and Bala has become used to the act of firing them. They generally do not exhaust themselves from a single blast, and generally know their limits when they do release their power in such explosive waves. In addition, this is when a hollow can begin to experiment with how they use their cero and bala, at least slightly. This is more usual for bala, as they are smaller and easier to produce. Their cero also tend to have more force behind them, typically, and they can comfortably fire between two and three such blasts per post, though it may come at significant cost to their energy reserves. Also, the adept in Cero and Bala tends to use their energy blasts more efficiently, due to their greater level of experience with energy attacks as a whole.
Advanced: An Hollow is a practitioner of Cero and Bala at this level has fired off their fair share of the destructive blasts, and has a decent amount of experience with using them in battle. Typically, they have been forced into situations where they had to be adaptive - possibly using their Cero as a defensive buffer, or trying to manipulate the course or trajectory of their bala, firing them off with multiple paths and timings to attempt to hit their target in a more meaningful way. Additionally, if they have any unique properties, such as a trait that makes attacks more explosive, these unique properties will begin to show themselves within the Hollow's cero. Firing off three or four Cero a post comfortably is well within the feasible range of this skilled level of Hollow.
Elite: By this level, the Hollow's level of control over their cero, the amount of energy they can output, and how often they can use their Cero are all forces to be reckoned with. They can cause significant damage to the environment with their use of explosive energy attacks, and any unique properties they would have towards energy attacks expresses itself in most of the energy attacks utilized. In addition, this tends to be the point at which things like alternate cero-firing points can be experimented with.
Master: It should be assumed that when facing a Hollow who has a Master ranking in using Cero and Bala, that their available stores of energy are beyond the scope of most supernatural beings. Using cero is as natural for this kind of Hollow as throwing a punch. More than that, though, is their level of control. Doing things like turning the cero into a contained beam of destruction, making it stop at a certain point, or effortlessly firing off a wave of bala from every point on their bosy. These are just examples of specializations that a Master in Cero/Bala usage could master. The greatest difference between this level and Elite is the raw ease for the Hollow in creating these attacks.
Grand Master: If a Hollow develops their cero and bala skill to the level of Grandmaster, they will typically be unmatched in their own specializations of how they use the energy attacks. They understand the root principles behind how Cero works, what makes it tick, how to output it, how to make that output stop, and they understand these things on an instinctual level. Essentially, whatever violent act that they put their mind to they can produce at least adeptly within the first few attempts. Each Hollow with this rank will develop their own intimate understanding of it, and so the exact interpretation of this level of skill may vary
Regeneration: Generally self explanatory, some Hollows are capable of having the ability to regenerate their bodies at their own will. However this is usually quite limited to the cutting off of limbs. It is said that if they have taken drastic damage to organs and vitals, however, they can not regenerate easily (or not at all, depending on the hollow), which can leave them in a significantly more vulnerable state. Additionally, Reiatsu can only do so much, and so if you have a focus on protective defences, your rate of regeneration will be stunted because of it.
Untrained: To say you have regeneration would be a stretch. You can hardly regenerate anything, infact the rate of regeneration is slow to the point that isn’t essentially useless. Broken bones could take upwards of three weeks to regenerate, even if you devote time and effort to them. Destroyed organs could take months, if not a year to regenerate, scrapes, cuts a bruises will disappear after a few days. Moderate injuries could take upwards of a week, and severe cuts could take as long as two weeks to heal.
Beginner: Flesh wounds are mended rather easily. Cuts, scrapes, bruises and things like that can be recovered. Granted, it may tire out easily due to the level of skill associated with the character, but it is still a useful trait to have. If given enough time, they can regenerate entire organs and bones over the course of a few days if they are broken or damaged.
Adept: This is where regeneration starts to show its real perks. Burns, fractured bones and blood loss can be restored in two posts. Additionally, their bodies can stand a higher amount of abuse and endure lethal attacks much better. Such as if an opponent slashed their bodies all around and made them bled excess blood, they would still be able to stand and fight most likely. And, unlike beginners, they could restore their bodies back to normal within a single day if more critical injuries were dealt to them.
Advanced: Advanced level Hollows who have regeneration can restore limbs and mend bones back together within two to three posts if given enough time to recover. They are also capable of restoring nerves, fending off toxins and can retain a constant state of youth with how their body is rapidly regenerating itself. And, while it isn't anything like the masters regeneration, they can still restore their organs, but at a much slower rate. Roughly within two to four post depending on how much focus and energy they put into it.
Elite: Elite regen level Hollows can restore their limbs back within the same post if they are able to put enough of their energy and focus in it. Additionally, unlike the previous skill level, they can bring back their organs within 1-2 post due to how much they've improved in their skill level by reaching this point in their regeneration capacities.
Master: Masters can regenerate at near instant speed. In fact, its possible for them to recover their injuries within the same post if they expend enough energy and stamina to do so. However, they are still killable if their heart or skull is crushed. So, it is ill-advised for them to take too much damage to these areas of their body. Otherwise, they are even capable of complex internal restoration; such as restoring organs and other structures of their body with relative ease.
Grand Master: Grand Masters may take the whole of their body being obliterated to kill. This is because their level of regeneration goes above and beyond the normal version of the Hollow's regen. It is very likely that Hollows of this caliber of skill are able to come back even after having their skull or heart crushed so long as they have the energy to perform the feat. They are often in a state of constant repair and their body is always seeking to mend and repair any damage done to it. Granted, it still takes energy and tiring them out could work, but it makes killing them quite difficult as they are often rather powerful when reaching the rank of GM.
Spiritual Pollution: Condensed beings of Negativity, Hollows are not the most cheery of beings spiritually, and this leads to the stronger ones giving off an aura that plays on their prey's doubts. While the weaker Hollows have a negligible nature and are too stupid to use it anyway, this can be a great tool to hunt, as causing the prey to doubt their ability to escape can cripple the chances of escaping.
Though, considering this is spiritual in nature, it can be counteracted by a stronger field of energy than the Hollow, pushing it down and rendering it weakened or inert. This is why it works best on mortal humans with no spiritual powers to resist it.
(Resistance by Willpower and special abilities)
Untrained: At untrained Pollution, you do not pollute. As Untrained is not a level that can be achieved normally, such creatures are very rare, and generally shunned for the unnerving lack of unnerving nature about them.
Beginner: The level of most Hollows, this is a slight feeling of discomfort. Like footsteps behind you, but never passing by. It rarely effects anything more than base level humans, but Hollows of this power don't want to be hunting anything more than that for fear of being splattered.
Adept: A growing sense of unease, like a knot in your stomach, this level of pollution is the best for harrowing the mortal lunchboxes before feeding on their terrified soul. At this level you can start to effect weak spiritual beings, but it would not be anything notable unless their minds are fragile.
Advanced: It is here that Mortals develop a powerful phobia for the Hollow, and the mind is sent into a frantic tizzy of fight or flight. And when the enemy is a giant masked creature you can barely make out, flight seems the best option. This level even bothers spiritual beings, capable of polluting the reishi in the air to tingle the back of their minds and make them apprehensive and doubtful of themselves.
Elite: Here is where a Hollow might cause a human to become like a deer in headlights. Fully aware that this monster coming towards them is about to kill them horribly, but also fully unable to do anything about it. Frozen to the spot by fear, they can do nothing but wait for their inevitable demise. Even spiritual beings have been known to tremble in the wake of this Hollow, though with the powers of them, "Fight" is generally more probable in their mind.
Master: Acute sensory overload in mortal brains causes radical cessation of activity in the synapses upon coming face to face with this level of power. In layman's terms, it makes you pass out pretty quickly from the shock of it. Even for a spiritual being honed and experienced in slaying Hollows, this one comes hard because without any addition or help, you can barely keep your hands on the blade, for they shake so hard.
Grandmaster: Immediate and permanent cessation of synaptic activity in mortal brains allows this Hollow to hunt with impunity. Though, it is a lonely existence, for it effects Hollows as well, killing them with your very presence. Even powerful spiritual beings struggle to stands up to you, as their bodies seize up and tremble uncontrollably. Only the greatest of Heroes may stand in your presence undeterred.
Acidic Touch: Acidic Touch: A rather passive and simple ability for all Hollows. In essence, this is the first form of defense for a normal Hollow, that if a normal human were to touch their skin they would be singed and their hands would be eroded and burnt as if acid was poured onto it. It is said this is extremely painful, and actually capable of letting the Hollow's Reiatsu into the victim's body at higher levels. The Acid is generally focused around the Hollow's hands, so the effectiveness of this skill on everywhere else on their body is a skill level lower.
This is often a trump card for fights as it has - excluding unique applications of it - no outward physical or spiritual tell as to the level of power until it touches you. Though this is no absolute defence and metaphysical sensory abilities can still gauge it. Additionally, the more obvious you are about trying to grab the enemy and touch them rather than actually hit them, the more liable it is for them to try and avoid it even if they do not know what you are doing.
Though it is called "touch", this does not prevent a Hollow from using it more creatively. Though this generally does not work well until Advanced, unless the Hollow is corrosively focused such as scorpions or spiders, in which case it comes easier, at Adept.
Untrained: When at untrained your Acidic Touch is something like an unarmed swordsman. People question if an Acidic Touch that is not acidic should just be called a touch. This generally means you have no interest in the touch however, given that it is a natural and passive thing for most Hollows.
Beginner: The acidic touch of most normal hollows, this can burn your average, powerless human as if by a moderately potent acid, but struggles to get through most other things. Wether it be a lack of power or a lack of focus on the development of this, it still makes for a weak acid.
Adept: Capable of corroding and damaging stronger materials than powerless human flesh, the Hollow can be somewhat of an issue to weak spiritual beings and sub-par equipment, but still hardly anything to write home about. while it may not be much more potent, it does mean that the hollow's acidic touch is above normal hollows, which means that you could potentially surprise a potential meal
Advanced: The hollow's Acidic Touch at this level is something to write home about. But, without exerting proper control over their acidic touch, they would be unable to hold a pen and paper to do so, burning through the objects in their hands along with the rest of the desk and possibly even the floor. It is corrosive and painful for most low and medium tier spiritual beings, and can infect them with hollow reiatsu at this point, melting through their skin and pouring Hollow Reiatsu into their body for a variety of effects, depending on the race and any additional effects that the Hollow themselves are granted through their abilities.
Elite: A potent acid stems from your fingers, capable of melting through solid rock and alloyed metal with a touch, and burning through rough and durable hides of spiritual combatants. The onset of dissolving flesh is rapid, and the rancid stench can be an additional off-putting sensory assault on top of the burning their arm off with bone-chewing acid.
Master: Distilled and bottled, your acidic touch would be a marvel for scientists the world over, as it is several times more potent that carborane, and eats its way through most naturally occurring objects. The acid is potent enough to burn large chunks out of thick sheets of metal with a touch, and even potent spiritual beings melt at your touch, and not in a good way. Unless you are into that sort of thing.
Grandmaster: The Hand Of Asura, The Destroyer. Your acidic touch had grown to be terrifyingly potent, containing acidic potency to melt most things you can touch, and cause agonising pain in the process. Lower tier spiritual beings all but dissolve into a puddle of mess were you to touch them for more than a moment, and few things are able to sustain prolonged contact before bubbling away into nothing. This acid is potent enough to hang around the point of contact for hours afterwards, and infect anyone who touches it with the same hollow reiatsu that the main person is bathed in, if they survive the trauma in the first place.
