Hello Stranger:

When Usagi is outside his Division headquarters after finishing his paper work and jobs, he can be very very gentle, kind, and open. Even when a shinigami he is not familiar with presents him or herself to him, he is quite friendly and truthful with them. He does not feel the need to hide anything about him because everything about makes him who he is, and id he hid something about himself it would be like lying to himself about who he really is. Also, he will try to befriend the person, make them feel welcomed. Unlike most Captains in the history of the Gotie, Usagi is not strict to new comers or strangers. He will not act stronger, or make sure that the stranger knows that he is on a higher level than they are, but he actually tries to make them feel equal to him. He doesn't think rank matters socially at least.

My heart lies with my men:

Usagi treats the people in his squad with more criticism and harshness than anyone else. His methods of training and lecturing are actually quite strict. Even though he has a reputation of being a nice person, usagi's men can say otherwise, but they should know that usagi has a good reason. By acting harsh, giving them strenuous lectures and missions, Usagi hopes to make his men strong, dependent on themselves rather than others. He hopes to build a certain self confidence in them and a certain understanding that the world outside the 2nd division is a lot more ruthless than every lecture and training usagi will ever give them. Also, usagi may act cruel to his men, but that too is a test. He hopes that his men will actually stand up to him, tell him that enough is enough, right to his face. He knows that the people who keep such things to themselves, pent up inside them, only fail in the future. Thus, it is a lesson to realize what is past the line, and what is acceptable.

Round 2.....FIGHT:

During a battle, Usagi can act in two different ways. First he will act childish, friendly even to his opponent. If the reason is not very drastic or if the level of the enemy is not that strong, he will fight without using shikai and actually try to make small talk with them. He thinks that in these situations, you might as well get to know who your fighting and what they hope to gain out of life, because as you do that you can also possibly learn more about others or yourself. However, usagi is capable of being completely brutal and ruthless. When given a mission to kill, or if the battle was about to result in a casualty of one of his comrades or men, he will not hold back. His face will change from happy and playful, to bloodthirsty or serious. He will not hold punches back, he will give all he has, no matter what cost. He will even go to such lengths as to use his shikai or bankai, which he does not feel necessary usually. He actually thinks the ability of his zanpakuto is quite merciless, because it harms everyone around him, comrades alike.

We are Shinobi:

"If you see your allies losing, that's your chance. Don't step between them. Take the enemy down from behind. And if the enemy is so strong you can't even do that, then just watch your ally be killed. That's what it means to be Onmitsukidō."

Such things are the rules of the Omitsukido, but usagi makes sure that this ideal is represented in a more passionate sense, a sense that only influences the need for comrades.

" If you watch your ally get killed, than you yourself are no different from the enemy. If you do not see saving your ally as a good deed, than see it as a test; test yourself, test your power, prove that you are capable of being stronger in heart, soul, body, and mind. Prove it to your allies and yourself."

Women:

Usagi has got to be one of the most perverted Captains in history; he has on many occasions flirted, and hit on shinigami in the barracks, some successful, some complete failures. He is quite intrigued with the female body and the female emotions, so much that he feels obliged to flirt with every hot girl he sees. He would also spy on them as they take showers, but as the leader of the Onmi, he is quite sneaky and unnoticeable. But, since he is such a ninja, this is only rumored, never completely determined. Though, despite these actions, he has complete respect for them. He actually believes that women are much stronger than men, for the reason they they seem to rule over men during life and marriage. Not only that, but they make BABIES! I mean, damn....if They can do that than you better have respect for them, being the gateway of new life. But, he still acts more on the desire for physical lust, just because he admires the woman's mind and body.

The Physical

Appearance:

Usagi has a very attractive and comforting appearance. not many would think of him negatively at first sight, or at least one shouldn't. his face is usually never without a smile, which only compliments his ocean blue eyes that seem to be a celetrial sight. his eyes not only could be compared to an ocean, but to a night sky that has been lighted up by the stars within it, making it a dark blue color; an ocean in the sky. his hair is always spikey, without the use of gel or any other hair product. his hair is a yellow color, a bright yellow color. He wears a headband almost at all times, the headband being a gift he got from his old man, old man usagi.

Usagi's body is muscular, and fit. his he a smooth and impressive six pack, not too muscular, but also not too weak. his arms are defined after the hours and days and years of training for the rank he has achieved. tattoos cover his back, ones od dragons and mythical creatures. these creatures are the links that he gives to his family that aceppted him into rukongai. the dragon would be the man and the pheonix would be the mother. he doesn't reveal these connections however.

Usagi's legs are pretty muscular, however he usually sits around his division barracks, so it doesn't really seem like he would be the one to have muscular legs. But, he argues that it was because of the constant walking that he made in the rukongai district. he hopes that people will beleive him, because deep down inside he also knows that he is a lazy ass.

My body, my mind, my weapon, Walk the primordial plains Hounetsu!

Zanpakutô Spirit: l The Zanpakuto is a very odd specimen, at least in personality, appearance, and its land in which it dwells. Hounetsu looks like a zombie from a horrow flick, having one half of her skin being completely skeletal, while the other half is fleshy and rotting. she wears a very old and regal dress that is tattered and aged as Hounetsu herself is. she is very skiny, boney, as if she had never eaten in her life. though, she takes the appearance of a little girl, at least in shikai. her personality is gentle, kind, understanding. she makes an effort to make sure she remembers everything that happens in Usagi's life, so that she may be able to give him advice on certain things if he come to her for it, which he does at times. she is completely loyal to him and loves him as if he were more of a father figure. the land in which she lives in is a barren desert with stone pillars disperced around the area. there is a constant sand storm in the land and she calls it the "primordial plains" which is a reference to how the earth was the first land every to exist, and dust was the thing that everything was created from. (christian mythology: adamn was created from the ground i beleive).

Sealed Zanpakutô : l The blade in its sealed form looks like it has suffered from the same curse that the spirit had suffered from:age. the blade is rusted on all edges, cracked in some places. however, despite this appearance of weakness, the blade it quite durable and really difficult to break, though it is quite dull, making it pretty difficult for the blade itself to cut through flesh.

Shikai Description: l In shikai, the blade does not change, but when usagi releases it, the blade glows green for a matter of seconds. the true difference in shikai is how he gains a new ability, nothing new really happens to the blade itself.

Shikai Abilities:

Usagi's shikai has two main passive abilities that make it feared amongst other shikai's. First, Usagi gains the ability to manipulate earth in a sence to dissolve it to dust like particles. The dissolve is pretty much universal to all sediment and solid (ommiting the blade of the enemy of course). The direction of the dust can than be manipulated and can create condensed dust walls to spikes of condensed dust shooting upwards from beneath their target. The movement and the condensing of the dust can range to a very broad stratiegic level. Second, Usagi has the ability to increase the nuetral radioactive level in sediment and solids to a higher and more feared level. the radiation gives off a deep red color as it serves as an aura around the dust (the dust sediment's nuetral radiation increases do to the zampaktou's innate ability). Also, it raises the radioactive level of the ground around Usagi and his opponent as the radiation and heat attack the opponent almost descretely. the heat of this radiation is approximetely 250 degrees and the radiation itself can fatigue and even get the enemy ill just by fighting mushy in his shikai for too long.

5-7posts: the opponent gains no sideaffects from the radiation, but will feel the radiations heat and may begin to sweat and get minor fatigue.
8-10posts: The opponent becomes fatigued and begins to feel the radiation sickness building up from within.
11-13posts: The opponent feels ill and very fatigued, possible bleeding out the mouth as their physical characteristics weaken drastically do to the sickness.
14-so on: The opponent begins to expierce major radiation poisoning and becomes very ill and greatly fatigued. medical care would be required for the opponent to survive, though the opponent may have desease and even cancer that may take awhile to heal even after medical care.

Bankai!

Bankai Description: l The bankai can only be activated when the blade is broken in two. After that, Usagi will say the release phrase [Dissolve] that actually dissolves the sword into dust that becomes a portion of his radioactive dust armor. the bankai appearance is merely a redand pink glowing aura around Usagi that seems to flow with elegance.



Bankai Abilities: l The passive ability for the bankai changes the way of fighting completely. the shikai ability to manipulate the sediment and dissolve earth to dust and manipulate with radioactive aura as a weapon with a long range to somehitng completely based on close hand to hand combat. In Bankai, the user manipulates a layer of dust to serve as another layer of skin on Usagi while the radiation aura is still active. than, the radiation aura on the dust seems to grow thicker and becomes much harder to cut through. the heat of the radiation is still the same as if it were in shikai (250) and Usagi is immune to it. though, since the pressure of this armor is so strong, the speed of Usagi is cut to a normal Captain level shunpo, but his streangth increases greatly, being able to block ceros with his hands with ease and other Bankai related abilities from his enemy.

The fact should be noted that the passive ability of the shikai that the ground is still highly radioactive is still active, and once in bankai, the increase in radiation is equivilent to a +2 post increase for the affects. yes that is right, the status ailments from shikai are still active in bankai.

Step Into My Life

History/Background:

the first breath, the first insight to reality, the first welcoming into the world of that time; Colonial America. In the small town of Salem Michigan, a boy was born in a well respected family, one that had numerous children that succeeded in life, excelled in the church practices of Puritan life and in society itself. The Winters family, ones that had been the source of inspiration for many puritans in the town and the ones whom people go to for religious advice, had now introduced to God their beloved Falen. It was their first boy out of 6 children, and it was thought that he would be a miracle in his life, as he grew up to be able to hold out for himself.

Life was great than, her mother took care of him, giving him more than a usual mother would give to her son, and her father provided for her more than any other father in the province gave their son. Both saw the best of themselves in this child, as they did in the other children. At the age of 3, Falen was already walking on his two feet and learning to speak the universal language in the America's, however, a dark cloud come over them that day, and rain began to fall on the town; a storm was slowly making its way into the Puritan life, and it was one that would hold no punches.

At the age of 7, Falen was in awe, news of witches being all around her in the city of Salem. Days had gone by, and her eyes only attempted to understand why her closest friends, church officials, and pure souls were hanged before crowds of lusting civilians, ones whom only wanted land, money, revenge, or to watch someone scwerm amongst the rope. His mother had taught him not to pay attention to this, and that the day will come that God will punish the evil, but if this was happening, was there really a god? Was there really a higher power that was actually allowing this to happen? One day he spoke this over with his father, he only told him not to believe in such things, and that God would smite him down if he convinced himself to the lie. However, he was only more certain when he saw his family being accused. He new that her family was well respected and had a great deal of land that seemed to be wanted by others. And, when the court said they were witches, guilty of sending out their souls on children whom faked pains, tears, screams, and hallucinations, he ran home, desperate for a miracle from their God, the one that had sent angels to man in order to allow them to see the light of God. A day had passed, mother and father had been hanged above the ground that all man walk on. Faith and Soul Winters had seemed to have passed onto heaven, refusing to give Salem a confession that was false, one that only strengthened the court against others.

falen cried so hard, but now as the man of the house, he needed to help his sisters with holding up the house and its jobs. He would not let their land suffer because of this, it would be what his parents wanted. Though, he did it for one person above all others. The youngest of the sisters, Hope. Hope was a pure, innocent puritan girl, not a single evil thing had touched her mind, pink ribbons tied in her hair. Falen looked at her and only saw that the world was actually capable of goodness. Salem may have taken his Faith and his Soul, but Hope was still beating within him.

Later that season, the rain returned, the wind roared as if it were a hungry beast. Hope was now condemned by the accusers that she had bewitched their crops. Falen ran to the court after hearing this, only to find out that she was to be hanged the next day for not confessing. He asked why she had been guilty of such trash, they only responded that if she confessed she would only be held in prison. Falen said that she should not lie to dogs, to animals of the Devil. Such a comment got him thrown out of the court, but his last words assured him a hanging. "you take my Faith, my Soul, and now my Hope! I say there is no God, we all worship the Devil in Salem, All of you!" were his last words.

The next day he was hanged with his sister, than by the rest of his sisters to fallow. He and his Hope hung together, both broken and betrayed by their own neighbors. Though, this tragedy would only provide Falen with another chance at life, one that he could control to protect the great mass of people in the afterlife, in Soul Society.

Shinigami Arc/ Academy Arc

His eyes opened, after dieing at the age of 17 he woke to the scenery of a forest. He sighed, what had happened? He had no current memory of why he was here and when he got this......this Odd chain sticking out of his chest. He looked at it, letting the chain links slip through his fingers as he looked confused. Questions flooded his mind as he began to hear things rustling in the forest. He focused his eyes, only to see a bearish creature, drooling for a meal, running for him. His eyes grew wide as he began to run. What was this?! He could not believe his eyes, but his legs moved on their own, he couldn't stop now. But, his attempts were futile, the creature caught up to him, pinning him down with its massive claws and glared at him with a lusting hunger. It licked its lips before it opened its mouth slowly. Falen was paralyzed in fear, what could he do now! Moments had passed and the beast had seemed to have frozen. Falen soon found the massive claws to be weak, being able to struggle away from their grasp. When he stumbled away he saw a blade in the back of the beast, held by a man in black.

The man smiled at him and jumped off the hollow, laughing as he pointed the bottom of the hilt towards falen's head. The bottom was stamped with some image, but before Falen could ever comprehend it, he was sent to another land, the land at which he could spend the next portion of hislife in. He would be able to live amongst the shinigami of Soul society, able to take up certain missions and soon become one of the strongest shinigami out there, being part of its central government. But, he had to go through many other burdens to reach that rank, as you will find out.

Rukongai arc

Falen soon woke up in a old wooden house, with a migraine like none other. He thought his head was going to split open as he spent the rest of his energy to sit up from his bed. He opened one eye to look around as he winced in pain. What had happened. He remembered the man in black, the one who saved him from what ever that creature was, but.....who Was that man, how was he able to defeat such a beast. It all seemed incredible to Falen, but also unbelievable. His eyes soon caught movement at the corner of the room, quickly reacting and turning he saw an old man, he smiled at Falen and asked him if he ahd a good rest. Falen's headache had passed by this point and he nodded at the man. This man was known as Usagi Yamato.

Usagi had an old wife that seemed to match his age, she was the sweetest soul Fallen could ever find. The two brought him up to date about the history of Soul society, telling him about the Gotie and the shinigami, kidou and shunpo. Was he in a fairy tale? Was this land real, or was it some dream that he had manufactured with his own imagination. He sighed and rubbed his head, all this was too much, he was a soul, one that lived under the protection of the Gotie, this was his new life, but he couldn't seem to want it. He hated the fact that he needed constant protection. He wanted to protect, be the one to save Souls from these Hollows.

He told the old man of this, he was about 120 years of age at this point. The old man merely chuckled, he said that he could in fact become a shinigami, but the path was rough, burdensome. Falen did not listen to the negatives and only focused on the fact that he had the potential. After that, Falen wanted to prove to himself that he was capable of creating kidou. He and other men practiced, but out of all of them Falen was the worst. He could not seem to create anything. He sighed and walked back hope, maybe he was just another soul that had to be governed. He stopped half way before he got to his house to try it one more time and, much to his surprise, he was able to conjure a kidou. Small it may have been, but it proved to him that he was capable to become a shinigami. He practiced for a couple more years until he learned some basic kidou. His new family was happy for him, but they would soon have to part from Falen.

shinigami had gone to the streets of rukongai because they had heard of souls being capable of such abilities. They found Falen eating with his family and asked if he wanted to go to the academy. This was the moment Falen had been waiting for, but he would have to leave his family behind. The old couple only said for him to chase his dreams to live as he always wished to. Falen smiled and went with the men. As they took him to the academy they asked for his name. He responded that his name was Usagi Yamato.

In the academy, Usagi specialized in close combat. His hoho and hakuda were extraordinary, but his zanjutsu and kidou were less than impressive. However, despite these failures, he stood near the top of the class. He was able to use his natural ability to react with percission in order to avoid attacks and counter swiftly. He spent a couple more years in training, only to be denied into the 2nd division. He was sad for awhile, he had tried so hard to get into the gotie, and the Division that he best fit into denied him. He needed to find a way to impress them, assure his rank amongst the members. He needed his blade.

Two years had passed again, and, in those two years Usagi had successfully gained control of his zanpakuto. It took him years to do, but he did so without too much trouble. He had to fight this spirit in its realm, which he though was quite barren. The spirit was known as Hounetsu, demon of the primordial plains. However, despite the name and the zombie like appearance, he was gentle and nice. This only made Usagi slightly reluctant to actually confront him in a battle, but he did so in order to become a real shinigami, in order to prove himself. After gaining his blade, he was placed as the 13th seat officer of the 2nd division. He had a ladder to climb, little by little.

He was placed on numerous missions, ones that he usually had to fight with his bare hands because he had not yet mastered shikai. But, during one mission, he was urrounded, he and his squad. He sighed as he held his blade tightly, menos grande surrounding them. He felt the cero's being ready to be fired at them all, providing a sure death. Usagi whispered to his blade, for help. The blade seemed to answer his plea, glowing red and pink as the dust around him began to float, the earth began to dissolve into more dust. In moments the menos were cut down by dust like blade that Usagi had controlled. His shikai had saved his and others lives.

This action promoted him to be the fukataichou, a rank to be VERY proud of. However, the next step would take a lot longer to master. Because of this he asked his Captain to train him, he needed the work so that he could master bankai. For hundreds of years, he had trained, until he finally mastered it at the age of 670. His bankai was extremely powerful, as was his shikai. And, after the reign of the Captain before him, he achieved the rank.

Currently, Usagi had just currently been set into his rank. He plans to make sure he is a great leader and that he plans to be a great warrior. He has finally proven to himself that he is capable of such lengths.
