Basic Information
_____________________________
• Name: Kyle Light
• Titles: Kai or Ky
• Age: 24
• Gender Male
• Affiliation/Rank:Together We Are AnonymousI mean Rogue ^.^
• Appearance Description:
● Eye Color: Green
● Hair Color: Blond/White
● Height: 6’ 2’’
● Weight: 175 lbs
● Body Type: Slender
● Physical Condition: Fit
● Distinguishing Features: Born a human Ky wears the characteristics of his people well. His slender form and pale skin compliment his height well and remind those who meet him of his Nordic ancestry. But it is not the physical that most defines his appearance, rather it the bright flash of his eyes, the intelligence in his face, and the curiosity that and intensity that drive him in his work. There is a passion in his features, bright and strong it burns through him, almost bordering on obsession in his pursuit of knowledge and truth.
● Physical Imperfections: Some of his earlier ventures into the dangerous world of early adulthood proved more difficult to cope than he had expected. One such binged filled weekend rustled in a terrible accident that thankfully involved only himself, his truck and a 4x4 concrete drain jutting out from the ground. Luckily he'd been passed out, not asleep, at the wheel leaving his body limp during the initial impact. However, a 65 mph collision with a solid object left him with a severely broken nose and fractured left elbow as well as a noticeable scar across his left brow. This all apparently having happened within the console of the truck, however after being ejected through the shattered windshield Ky also broke his pelvis, an injury he did not get over nearly as quickly as the others. The latter along with an early diagnosis of scoliosis cause a pain that still lingers, though the severity ebbs and flows with the days and weeks. At times it is just a flicker, but there are still nights when those old wounds still burn like they are being made new.
•Attire Preferences: Ky chooses to opt out of being classified into some social norm or category based on his dress. Often times choosing to change things completely day by day. One day he might be wearing some something edgily formal similar to what one might expect the Tenth Doctor to be wearing. Other time's a soccer hoodie and faded jeans make him look like he could care less about his appearance. Hell, you might even find him in little to nothing at all, his top discarded like some sort of rag and his pants on the verge of collapsing to his ankles. But more often than not, one will find Ky in simple attire. Snug fit jeans and a T-shirt either plain white or with the logo of some Anime he likes. In the end, it just depends on what the weather is like out side, and how much effort the man feels like putting into fashion sense on that particular day.

Personality
• Psychoanalysis:
● Alignment: Neutral
● Dirty Secrets: Ky’s darkest secret is also his single greatest regret and the origin of his strongest fears. When he was young and still naïve about the world he watched it tear down someone he held close. They said it was cruel fate, called her a martyr and a sacrifice. But he called her Emily and try as they might to justify her death, it would never make sense to him why it was her instead of him.
● Superstitions: Ky holds no faith in the mysticism of the unknown, believing that all things can be understood, their power merely a function of their own specific truths. This is not to say that he discounts the presence of gods or magic, rather that he does not fear them simply because he does not understand them. On some level, however, he does believe in a kind of afterlife, likely more a product of his desire to earn forgiveness for his inaction than any source of logic or reason.
● Fears & Phobias: He fears death, fears being caged and helpless, being forced to watch without being able to act. Deep down he fears that he might never be able to forgive himself for not at least trying, that no matter what he does in penance he will still blame himself for what happened back then. More than anything he fears that even with everything he’s learned it won’t be enough and he will be helpless again, and that is why he keeps searching for knowledge and power.
● Hopes & Desires: His most poignant hope is that he might find some way to clear his conscience and forgive himself, in that face of that all else is faded and worn thin.
● Super Objective: The years have cured him of his desire for vengeance, why she died and who killed her matter little after so many years have past. All he cares about know is honing his talents and his understanding to the point where he is strong enough to change the world that let something like her death happen.

Quirks:
• An academic at heart there is little that Kyle loves more than a mystery that needs to be solved. He immerses himself in his work, often to the exclusion of all else, going so far, at times, as to forget conversations that are still happening, the passage of time, even his own need for food and sleep. If the riddle is challenging or interesting enough he sees nothing else until it is solved.
• Calling back to his admiration of his academic teachers Ky often verbalizes his internal thought process as he works through particularly challenging tasks, this impulse is so ingrained as habit he rarely even realizes that he is doing it, which can give the illusion that he is still carrying on a conversation even if he has slipped back into his work.
•As absent-minded as he often seems Ky has an inexplicable gift for memory, at times calling back the most inconsequential parts of conversations long past. Often meaningless snippets or thoughts this gift for recollection does mean that he does not forget a promise, though when he finally gets around to fulfilling them is anyone’s guess.
• Personality:
- OVERVIEW:
If you want to know the man, what makes him tick, I’d say you need to look past the surface, the façade. Sure he’s calm and calculating, brilliant and fully aware of his talent. There is a patient confidences about him, a certainty in what he does. It’s hard to imagine that there isn’t a purpose behind each motion, each word. And maybe there is something to that, he is as cautious as he is confident. He takes risks, often in the pursuit of the knowledge that he seeks. But even those are weighed carefully. Behind all of that I’d say he’s lost, he probably doesn’t even know why because he’s been that way for so long. He has no cause, no motivation. Sure he seeks after power, but he has no grand designs to use it. All he is, for all his talent and brilliance, is reaction, always late, always lacking. He wants power to save a girl already dead, strength to change a life he still lives.

_____________________________
● Profession: History and Literature Professor at Karakura Central University/Amateur Novelist
● Accomplishments: Lover, Poet, Friend. Graduated Princeton University.
● Degree of Renown: Literature and Education
● Level of Education: Studied extensively to teach literature and history at the Princeton University, his grasp of problem solving techniques and historical precedents is unrivalled, a fact that has translated well into his extensive self-education regarding philosophy. In his current field he has learned by studying the great masters of generations passed, he is looking to begin retracing each of their steps to better reinforce his knowledge with personal experience.
● Pets: 1 dog named Terra.
● Family: No immediate family to speak of, Kyle left home long ago and has not spoken to his parents or relatives in ages. He still keeps watch over them, but from a distance, fearful that if he lets them close again history might repeat itself.
● Friends: Has a growing network of contacts scattered here and there. That he would call any of them friends is anyone’s guess.
- HOBBIES:
What time he does not spend immersing himself in his job is often spent pouring over all forms of literature. Kyle devours books of any genre and topic, and there are few times he is more content than when he has a good book in his hand and the time to read it in relative peace and quiet. That is not, however, to suggest that he does nothing else with his spare time. Ky has dabbled in everything from painting to music, he practices a regiment of martial arts, a hobby he started shortly after Emily died. He is a poor musician at best, though his art likely aided by his eye for detail and steady hands, has sold in the past for modest sums.

Armaments & Inventory
_____________________________
- PRIMARY WEAPONRY>TWIN SWORDS:
- LAMENT & ELEGY:
Weapon Name: Lament and Elegy
Weapon Type: Short range/ melee
Weapon Description: Twin blades forged of a single fire to fit a single sadness, Kyle commissioned these blades shortly after he lost Emily and it is said that they carry his sadness in the sharpness of their edge. Designed to be light and agile neither blade is meant for crushing blows, rather their purpose is in their precision, and their speed. Kyle has not often had call to make use of them, but he practices religiously in their form and technique, mastering both.
- Measurements: Each blade is 30 inches in length, the hilt just long enough for a hand and a half
- Material: While both blades are a mixed Alloy they are primarily steel.
Imbued Properties:
- Lament: Cooled in a blend of poisons Laments razor edge does more than simply cut. Even minor wounds from this blade can be lethal if left to fester, and strikes near nerve clusters have the potential to cause localized numbness or even paralysis of limbs. In addition to its inherent poisonous properties Lament was fashioned in such a way that the blade is able to carry additional dosages of poison in thin groves etched into the blade. This allows for a more concentrated and specialized effect from potential cuts inflicted by the blade but at the cost of needing to prepare both poison and blade before the fight.
- Elegy: Elegy was fashioned without specialized adornments. It’s blade is razor sharp and its balance is without flaw, but beyond these characteristics it has no unique properties.
● Inventory
- A FEW BOOKS:
● Type: Assorted Books
● Acquired: Collected over the course of many years of extensive research this particular collection of books represents the relative sum total of all knowledge related to potions, poisons, herbs, and reagents. It includes countless recipes as well as descriptions of nearly all potential ingredients.
● Effect: No special effect beyond the knowledge that they hold. These books are what makes Ky one of the leading professors of his age, as well as a master at certain more crafty arts such as poison making.
Natural Attributes & Supernatural Powers
• Natural Attributes: Kyle has always been a gifted young man. Having a genius level intellect and a photographic memory of course come in handy pertaining to a variety to situations. His tall, athletic build has also always allowed him both surprisingly overwhelming physical strength as well as agility and speed. It is the latter in which Ky views the most deadly to any combatant. He who strike first, may also strike last. This goes beyond simple physical standard but delves deeper into the way his mind works. He can divorce himself from thought, and focus only on the action that need be done. Allow all of his brain to focus on a single act, and perform it without hesitation, fear, or remorse. It is this trait that make others less keen to pick a fight with the guy. Add Lament and Elegy into the mix and well, it's obvious you'd have your hands full going toe to toe with someone aiming for your throat with each strike. Range is where he is weakest, preferring to fight in more close quarters Kyle would never be so foolish as to attack someone pointing a barrel at him. That is unless they are foolish enough to forfeit the benefit of range and close the distance. That's why heads start rolling.
- NUTSHELL:
General Combat Skills: Precision fighting, Hand-to-hand combat, Swordsmanship, Access to potions/poisons, Agility,
High Stamina, Flexibility.
• Powers:• Pure Abilities:
- BLAZING SOUL:
Blazing Soul is a term used to literally describe the flames of Kyle's very spirit. His spiritual energy literally ignites and burns around his body. To any normal person this would look like agony, but thanks to the properties of 'Ash,' Ky can let the flame dance as the please with no fear of harm. Fire is wild, and in a sense untamable, and the fires of his soul are no different. Although he doe's have the ability to direct their patterns and intensity he in no way has complete control over the inferno. This has led him to use the ability scarcely, in fear for those around him. It should also be noted the color of these flames. While they can be red, other shades such as pink, green and blue have arisen and seem to have some connection to Kyle's emotional state. Lastly, although they can impact the physical realm as well, these flames are derived from an ethereal source, the power of ones soul, and therefore have been proven to impact the spiritual world as well.
- ASH:
Ash is a basic ability Kyle discovered at an early age. It first happened by instinct more than anything else. While still in his youth, and living in the middle of nowhere they often lit fires inside and out for warm and for recreation. He'd happened a bit to close one day to a camp fire and reached a playful hand out to touch the dancing flame. Of course his mother screamed at him to get away but as children often do his toned her out and instead remained fascinated by his new play mate 'Fire.' To both his parents surprise however, his skin did not burn but instead turned a cold, chalky grey as the young boy let the flame lap at his fingers and palm and only giggled in response. Literally ashen skin, a protective layer of pigment and mutated cells that instantly react to high temperatures and rather than insolate his body, change it's properties so that it simply cannot be used as fuel for flame. Completely protecting him from all kinds of burns so long as the ability remains active.

Background History
• Background:
_____________________________
- ACT I "FAMILY HONORS":
I suppose the best place to start if you want to know about Kyle Light is with his family. Kyle never came from much, a modest family just outside of town. His parents worked tirelessly just to scrap together a living on the day to day so he never had much wealth or influence. I suppose that was in part where he got some of the drive that so defines him today. Still, a modest beginning turned into a modest few years and it wasn’t until he started immersing himself in literature that anyone would have noticed anything out of the ordinary from the youth. Even then his knack for solving problems and remembering facts and details, oddities from the things that he had read did not seem wholly remarkable. He was bright, gifted some might have gone so far to say, but without opportunities such talents were unlikely to amount to much in the grand scheme of things. Academics were a game for the rich, beyond the basics they held no practical place in his world. Still, literature provided a glimpse of the world beyond his backwater town and a means of passing the time so his parents indulged him as best they could.
- ACT II "CHILDHOOD":
It was probably around the time that he was first entered into the local school that Kyle began to distinguish himself from the other kids his own age despite his modest origins. What had been simple indulgence before slowly transformed into something more. There was a sense of hope in his talent, in the idea that he might be able to do more than what had been set out for him. His parents rallied behind him, devoting everything they could to helping him pursue his education even if their efforts could only hope to take him so far. Without money or influence the chances of attending one of the best universities, as a boy from a backwater family, was beyond impossible. Short of a pure miracle it wouldn’t matter, but that didn’t stop them from trying, and it didn’t stop Ky from devouring every detail, every fact and figure that he could find.
His drive carried him forward, but at the same time it set him apart from his peers. He did not mingle with the other children his own age. I suppose in a way that made what happened next a little easier to bear for someone so young. Without those childhood connections there was nothing to break when Ky’s own personal miracle showed up in the form of a unique scholarship for merit to one of the most renowned universities that money could buy. You see even though that little town was small, it wasn’t isolated from the rest of the world, and when Kyle started raising a bit of money on his own tutoring his more well to do neighbors. Word started getting around of the local genius, and that got the attention of some of some influential people.
Where the scholarship came from never really mattered though, what did matter was that it came and with it a change that no one ever really expected, even if they had spent so long hoping for it. It wasn’t that anyone was going to hold him back, none of them had the heart, besides, if he could succeed despite all the odds it meant that maybe it wasn’t so impossible after all and that was, well, it changed what it meant to live in that tired little town. At the very least it gave them all something to talk about, something to be proud of. So Ky left behind the familiar and the comfortable and found himself thrust headlong into the middle of a culture he did not understand. He never really missed them, at least not that I could tell, he used to say that there wasn’t that much to miss. Sure he had family, and special places that he had had to leave behind, but that was it, all there was to the home that he had known and most of it he could find again, given the time. What proved harder to adjust to was the idea that he could be an outsider because of his status or his upbringing. Country boys were less common in the economic elite of the major cities and that meant that they were a clear minority in the better universities.
- ACT III "SOMEONE SPECIAL":
I know, I know, you aren’t interested in the story of the new misunderstood kid struggling to fit in among a group of peers he’s got no business being a part of. You’re interested in when he changed, when everything changed. And I’m getting there, but you have to understand that something like that, something that big, is never self contained. Still, Emily, the root of it. I suspect it would be accurate to say that he met her as a result of the isolation he felt from the other students. She, at least, was like him, another outsider, risen from nothing. She was brilliant in every sense of the word, maybe even more so than he was. She was his intellectual match, but more than that she was the first person he’d ever met who dared to challenge the world, to dare to try and change it. He didn’t join her at first, but you could see the way she captivated him with her ideas, the way he was drawn not just to her, but to what she stood for, what she fought for.
I don’t pretend to believe in things like true love, or any of that romance. I don’t hold to talk of fate, or the idea of destiny, but there was something between those two, a connection that you just couldn’t deny. They were perfect for each other to the point where I wouldn’t even argue that they might truly have been meant for each other. That everything that had happened to them up until the moment that they met had been part of some master plan. He changed for her, and she for him, before they had simply existed, but together they transcended that as cheesy as it sounds. They crushed every problem, every mystery and challenge set before them, because they worked so well together. She was the one who gave him the idea that there was power in knowledge, in those old texts that he was always pouring over.
But you didn’t bring me here to wax nostalgia either, so I’ll skip ahead a bit farther. I don’t think they every really made anything official, but by the time they were finishing up the last year at the university it was pretty obvious to everyone who knew them that there was something there. Which is what made it so odd that he wasn’t there at the rally she’d helped to organize in the heart of the city. Something about pursuing a special research opportunity. He’d mentioned that day that he’d planned on joining her when he was finished, but by then the rally had already turned violent. Apparently there was more discontent in the city than either of them had ever expected. Emily probably never meant for things to get as chaotic as they ultimately did, but by opening the floodgates and giving the people a glimpse of change she set off a chain reaction that no one could have stopped. And when the city responded they responded with force. By the time the he got there they were already picking through the debris. I don’t even think that he got a chance to see her, they’d already taken the body away.
It crushed him. He’d been quiet before he met her, but after he lost her he retreated back inside of himself like never before. I don’t think he could process it that quickly, which is probably why he didn’t really react to what had happened until after he’d graduated at the very top of his class from the university. And then all he could manage was to leave, without saying a word. Took a position teaching at Karakura Central University, probably as much to forget as because couldn’t see himself doing anything else. When the haze of it lifted he threw himself back into the research he’d started with her, pouring over those old texts, searching for the power that Emily had always believed was there.
- ACT IV "HERE AND NOW":
And now you know how it started, how he got here and what made him the person he was when he arrived. Which I guess means we’ve gotten to the point in the story where you want me to tell you what put him, what was the final piece of the puzzle. Sure he was broken when he came to Karakura Central, but that was then. We’ve all got things we’d rather forget, secrets from our past lives that are best just left where they are to gather dust and fade away to nothing. Kyle had more reason to forget than most.
But I digress. Ky settled into his new life pretty quickly, suppose it was easy when he could immerse himself in his research and simply forget about everything else. He never really took to teaching to be honest, it’s not to say he wasn’t good at it, nothing could be farther from the truth. There was something about the way he talked about all those old books and classic authors, an inexplicable charisma of sorts when he read poetry or quoted from the masters. The students all loved him, but he was always so distracted. There were times when he didn’t even show up for lectures, and times when students could find him wandering the halls, his nose in a book, his thoughts scattered across countless pages. I suppose that’s how he met Jasmin, just wandering. He never could remember how they first met, she was just another student, he was just another teacher. She was younger than the average, intelligent enough to make an impression. About a year or so ago she tracked him down after classes one day, all but demanded that he take her on as an individual student. I doubt he wanted anything to do with her, but she persisted and eventually he just gave it to get her to leave him alone. That or he found a way to drop a few of his other classes in trade.
That’s probably where it all started going downhill. It’s easy to keep secrets when no one is looking too closely, Kyle could have been advancing his studies into the spiritual for years and no one would have even suspected anything was out of the ordinary, but add Jasmin to the mix and even someone like Ky would have trouble hiding everything. You see she wasn’t just bright, she was brilliant, as brilliant as he’d been at that age and unlike the rest of the school she was paying attention to him, drinking in everything he had to show her. She started to put things together, small bits and pieces at first, but enough of them, spread out over her time studying under him, and you start to get a sense of something larger. She pushed and he redirected her with wild chases through ancient histories, I don’t think he even realized what he was doing until it was too late.
She figured him out, where none of you had even suspected him she managed to uncover both the purpose and the extent of his research into the after life. But this is where I get a little fuzzy on how the details all add up. You wouldn’t have noticed anything, not until he started actually performing the higher level experiments himself. Without her he was safe, but she still hand delivered that book to the library with his notes still inside. The evidences would have damned him, does damn him, and maybe she had something to gain for discrediting him or getting him out of the way, though I doubt it. But then, once she’d already let his little secret slip she helps him slip away. Why, why bother going through all that trouble, leverage maybe, though she could have gotten that just by showing him that she knew what he’d been up to these past few years. Obviously she wanted something more than leverage, she wanted him for something and she had to get him away from here to get it. Even more worrying is why would he go with her. If we could figure out who let the secret slip I can promise you he figured it out, probably too late to stop it, but certainly before she came to offer him a way out.
So if he knew that she had betrayed his secret what could convince him to go anywhere with her. He could have slipped away on his own, he’s got to realize that the school won’t hunt him down if he just disappeared, it would look bad to have been involved with a known practitioner of the dark arts. Or maybe he didn’t know that, the only thing that makes sense is if he wasn’t sure how much you knew. If he had reason to think that he had already stepped over a line that even the school could not choose to ignore than that begs the questions as to what we still don’t know.
- ACT V "THE PATH I WALK":
Which brings us rather nicely to this moment, this conversation. You brought me here to find out what kind of a threat this Kyle Light poses to this school, to your reputation, to the steady flow of donations from wealthy alumni and concerned parents. Looking back over his life I can’t say with certainty that he won’t do something radical, after everything he’s seen, everything that has happened it wouldn’t take much to push him over the edge now. But at the same time I think I can say with certainty that power has never been his focus, it has always been a means to some other end. I suspect he wants a power that will prevent him from feeling helpless like he has felt in the past. In light of that I say leave him run away with this Jasmin, leave him wander from place to place masking spiritual arts as science and selling cheap trinkets, medicines, and poisons to whoever wants to buy them. Unless he comes back here he is no threat to any of you. It would be more damning for the school if he was caught and his research while he was a professor here is brought to light. Better no one knows than chance the public outcry against you. By now he is long gone anyway, and if the girl has half the resources they claim she does then they are clever enough that it is unlikely you’d ever catch them anyway.

[quote]Alright, this should be fairly simple; with the new updates for the human's and their skill sheet, it seems like we've kinda left out a key demographic of said human's. That, of course, being the human's who's powers are based off of reiatsu. So, seeing as I have quite a few humans, most of which use reiatsu, and because I was already thinking about it, here's my idea for the Reiatsu using Human skill sheet.

Energy Usage/Regeneration: Master/Advanced/Adept/Beginner
