________________________________________________

• Name: Yamireki Iramasha
• Age: Yamireki is 2,650 years old. He appears to be in his late teens or early twenties, between 19 and 24 years of age.
• Gender: Yamireki is Male.
• Appearance: [[NOTE: I will be providing a facial picture and an appearance description in words.]]

Face:
Spoiler:

Words:
Yamireki is a being of above average height. He stands tall at 6 feet and 3 inches off the ground. He is also a little above average weight for his height, at 235 pounds. However, Yamireki is most certainly not a fat person. His weight is a product of his large, well-defined muscles in all parts of his body. Yamireki takes life very serously, and, for him, part of this was working out so that he could remain physically fit. That was how Yamireki became so muscular and heavy. He still puts himself through strenuous workouts to maintain this appearance.

Yamireki has an interesting combination of skin, hair, and eye color. Because of the way human genetics and DNA replication work, such a combination would literally never happen in a human being. Yamireki has an about average skin tone. It isn't dark or fair, but somewhere exactly in between the two. His skin is just dark enough that he doesn't have to worry about sunburn, but just light enough that he would be considered a white person by humans. Yamireki has very strange black eyes. The pupil of his eyes can barely be seen, as it is only slightly darker than his irises. From a distance, it looks like Yamireki just has two giant pupils and no iris at all. Yamireki's hair is pure white. He lets it grow long, about three-quarters of the way down his neck, before he cuts it.

In terms of clothing, Yamireki dresses like most spirits. That is to say, he dresses in Japanese-style clothing. Yamireki prefers to wear a dark green kimono and hakama, or traditional Japanese clothing. He ties this about the waist with a crimson obi sash. Yamireki keeps his sheathed Seishin Buki, which takes the form of a sword for him, tucked into this obi while not in use. He also likes to wear a Haori-like jacket over this kimono. The jacket is white and has the symbol of the Iramasha Clan in crimson red on the back. On his feet, Yamieki wears traditional straw sandals, or geta, with socks.

• Branch/Position: Yamireki is a member of the Hybrid branch.
• Race: Yamireki is a Hybrid Iramasha.

________________________________________________

• Personality: Overall, Yamireki Iramasha has a very interesting personality. Just as both halves of this Hybrid Iramasha are polar opposites, so are the sides of Yamireki's personality. He can change between personality sides at a fraction of a second's notice. It's rather like bipolar disorder, only something triggers Yamireki's changes instead of them happening at random. Usually, the trigger is a battle or one of his friends being injured or killed. The two sides of Yamireki's personality can be described as 'Positive' and 'Negative', since those are the qualities attributed to the traits found in their respective categories.

On the positive side of his personality, Yamireki is kind, helpful, friendly, loyal, caring, and a rule-follower. He can also be seen as a very good person to have as a friend while this side of him is in effect. It is the personality of Yamireki's 'angelic' half.

Yamireki being a kind being means a lot of things. It is actually quite self-explanatory. Yamireki is very nice and polite to everyone he meets when the positive side of his personality is in effect. In this side of his personality, Yamireki won't hurt anyone on purpose. He will also steer clear of fights and any other sort of trouble where people are being hurt or killed. If Yamireki hurts someone by accident, he might feel guilty about it for the whole day, no matter how minor the injury. He's just an overall nice person with the good side of him in effect.

Yamireki is also very helpful to others with the good side of him in effect. No matter what the task, Yamireki will always be glad to help someone if they seem like they're struggling with a task. This courtesy even extends to helping good friends or any other Iramasha with a battle, even a fight to the death. Of course, a battle is one of the possible triggers for the negative side of Yamireki, but he's willing to take that risk to be of help to someone else.

In a friendship, Yamireki is a good friend. This is because of three of his positive traits: Yamireki is friendly, loyal, and caring. When Yamireki's good side is in effect, he is one of the most friendly beings out there. Yamireki considers all Iramasha to be his most important friends. After all, every Iramasha is related. Anyone he meets that makes a good impression, Yamireki will consider to be his friend. Once someone is Yamireki's friend, he is a very loyal friend. Yamireki is one of those guys that you can always trust with things like keeping secrets. He's also very caring about others. Yamireki will pretty much do anything to help a friend who is sad or hurt.

On his good side, Yamireki is also a huge rule-follower. In terms of Shinigami, Yamireki could be compared to someone like Byakuya Kuchiki. To Yamireki, there are no exceptions to the rules. In his mind, any violation of a rule should be punished with the most harsh punishment, even for a first-time offender. He doesn't even see himself as an exception to the rules. If Yamireki commits an offense and is caught, he will humbly face punishment for the offense.

Then, there is the bad side of Yamireki's personality. It's meant to represent the 'demonic' half of him. This side is usually triggered by Yamireki going into battle. However, it can sometimes be triggered by a friend being hurt or killed, or other strong negative emotions. In his negative personality side, Yamireki is cruel, blood-thirsty, and just seemingly evil. He just seems insane, to say the very least. He doesn't give a damn abut anyone but himself in this state of personality. Yamireki doesn't give a damn about the rules in this state, either. Also, Yamireki is the last person you'd want as a friend when he starts to act like this.

In battle, Yamireki's cruel, blood thirsty, evil, or insane traits are the most prominent. He seems a lot more concerned with causing an enemy physical pain than actually killing them. If Yamireki knows stuff about his enemy in a battle, he will try to use that to cause said enemy emotional pain just for his own amusement. When he's fighting a weaker enemy, Yamireki pretty much just plays with them until the end, when he kills them as painfully as possible. If you're weaker than Yamireki, coming up against him in battle is a terrible idea.

Yamireki becomes very selfish in this state of personality. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. All other people or beings mean nothing to him at all. He wouldn't even feel any remorse about killing someone in this state. While this can be an advantage for him in battle since it lets him focus on just his fight, it can also drive away potential friends and allies. Even other Iramasha are sometimes disturbed by Yamireki acting in this way.

Yamireki becomes no longer concerned with the rules in his negative state. He thinks that he can do anything he wants and shouldn't have to face the consequences. If he is apprehended for a crime or rule violation in this state, he will insist that he is innocent and do anything he can to avoid punishment.

In terms of stuff Yamireki likes and dislikes, it really defends on which personality state Yamireki is in. His likes and dislikes can be drastically different from one state to the other.

While in a positive state, Yamireki likes things to do with peace and normal life. Obviuosly, therefore, peace and normal life are two things Yamireki likes. He likes to talk with his friends whenever he can, since it's a much better alternative to fighting. Yamireki also likes to be able to help others. He especially likes helping others resolve their differences to keep the peace. In his positive state, Yamireki likes to enjoy normal everyday things like good food and drink, hanging out, and partying. He also likes doing puzzles and other games that challenge the mind.

In a positive state, Yamireki dislikes fighting and disorder like any good Iramasha should. He absolutely hates anything that causes fighting and disorder as well. Yamireki dislikes, for example, arguments. He knows that, in the spiritual world, arguments can all too easily lead to fighting and death. He even hates jokes made at other people's expense. Yamireki knows that those being taken badly can lead to trouble. Yamireki just doesn't like anything that, in general, can lead to something that causes fighting, chaos, pain, or suffering.

In his negative state, Yamireki is pretty much the exact opposite of the way he is in his positive state. He pretty much likes fighting, disorder, chaos , pains, and suffering. In this state, Yamireki hates peace, since he finds it boring. He doesn't really care about everyday stuff in this state.

In terms of fears, Yamireki only has a few. His biggest and most notable fear is that, one day, his negative side might take over. He knows that the other Iramasha could choose to exile or kill him if that were ever to happen. This leads us to his other two notable fears: exile and death. Yamireki fears exile because he supports the Iramasha Clan and wants to continue to be a part of everything that they stand for. Being exiled would mean that he couldn't stand for the Iramasha anymore, something he just couldn't have. Yamireki fears death because he is worried about what will happen to his soul in the cycle of rebirth after he dies.

In the negative state, Yamireki really has no fears. This is actually a disadvantage since it makes him bold and reckless. This disadvantage is amplified by the fact that Yamireki is usually in this personality state during battle. One day, it could easily get him killed.

• Background: Prologue: War of the Pure Souls

It was mid afternoon in a place called Soul Society. Certain sounds filled the air: yelling, clashing metal, explosions, crackling flame. Anyone could tell you that these were the sounds of battle. The smells of battle filled the air, too; everything from the salty-metallic scent of blood to the smell of sweat to the woody smell of wooden structures being dissolved by raging flame. If a curious onlooker were to go even closer, he would see the sources of these smells. Men in Japanese dress ran about, fighting each other with katanas or any other types of weapons. The sun reflected off these polished metal blades, all razor-sharp. Others yelled words and numbers in Japanese, firing off Hadō blasts or putting up Kidō barriers and Bakudo shields.

Some men rushed amid a cluster of wooden buildings surrounded by a low stone wall which had recently been breached in several places. There had been a gate at this wall, but it was cast down and broken. The men that rushed in held weapons dripping with blood in one hand and torches in the other. They were setting fire to the buildings, driving their occupants, mostly the elderly, women, and children, out running and screaming. These people were put in chains and led away by more waiting armed men.

It was about 2,700 years ago. This long ago, everything was different. In the World of the Living, humans hadn't even begun to number their years yet. They wouldn't do so for another 287 years. Later, humans would know the year being spoken of as 287 BC. In Soul Society, a place now known for pure souls and pure beings, there was chaos. 2,700 years ago, the familiar Seiretei and Rukongai weren't even thoughts. The Gotei 13 didn't exist, although many Shinigami did want order and peace. For the most part, Shinigami were divided up among clans led by powerful Shinigami. These clans fought each other for respect and territory constantly.

One such fight was currently going on. This battle was pretty much over. The attacking clan had caught the defenders unprepared. Now, they were killing the remaining fighting Shinigami. The defenders' clan compound was being burned, and its residents were being taken to be servants of the attacking clan for the rest of their lives. In the pre-Gotei Soul Society, such events were quite common. Scenes such as this one happened daily, sometimes two to four times in a day!

The latest clan battle was being peered down upon, although not a single combatant knew he was being watched. High above Soul Society was a place kown as Iramasha Island. It was inhabited solely by Iramasha, a clan of angels. They had existed since at least 10,000 years ago. Now, they were starting to grow tired of the Shinigami fighting. The Iramasha were aware that a young but immensely powerful Shinigami known as Genryusai-Shigekuni Yamamoto and his friends were thinking of starting a real organization for the Shinigami. It was around this time that they began to think of aiding him. This is where our real tale begins, on Iramasha Island...

Arc 1: Birth of an Angel

2,650 years ago, on Iramasha Island, a new Iramasha was born. His father was a pure Angelic Iramasha, and his mother was a pure Demonic Iramasha. Thus, their child came out as a Hybrid Iramasha. In other words, he was half Angel and half Demon. Hybrid Iramasha were not very common, nor are they now, and so this was a notable birth. Anyhow, the parents wanted their child's name to sound cool and high-class. They named him Yamireki. Of course, as he was born in the Iramasha clan, Yamireki's last name was Iramasha. Yamireki Iramasha's life had begun.

From the very beginning, Yamireki was strange. Being a Hybrid, he didn't really look normal, even among Iramasha. His parents even thought something wasn't right when he was born. Yamireki's white hair and black eyes just looked really unnatural. Even when he was a baby, people could tell that Yamireki had two distinctly different sides to his personality. It was obvious that he was going to be a handful. Raising an Iramasha was never easy, but Yamireki just seemed like complete trouble from day one.

When Yamireki was in the positive, better side of his personality, he was a pleasure to be around. As a baby and young child, he was cooperative, kind, and happy in this personality phase. When other Iramasha saw Yamireki in this phase, they couldn't understand why his parents were so stressed and frazzled all the time. Then there was the negative side of Yamireki's personality. This one was complete hell for others to be around. He was mean, uncooperative, seemingly always angry, and didn't work well with others of his age. Anyone who was around him then definitely understood the feelings of Yamireki's parents.

It was fortunate that, as Yamireki grew older, he got better control over his personality. By the time Yamireki had reached 35 years of age, which was nothing for a spirit, especially an Iramasha, he only let the negative side of his personality out when he was angered. At this time, Yamireki became a lot more pleasant to be around. He was also finally really and truly accepted by the other Iramasha his age. At this point. life began to go well for Yamireki. Indeed, it would continue to do so for a while longer, but all good things come to an end...

Arc 2: So You Wanna be a Fighter?

By the time Yamireki reached 60 years of age, his parents began to train him in the ways of the Iramasha. At 60, because of the extremely slow aging rate of spirits, Yamireki looked somewhere between 5 and 7 years old. This, of course, is about the age that a modern human child would begin to attend school. Yamireki, however, was not taught very many things like reading and writing or math. Instead, he learned how to fight. Yamireki was told by his parents that he would have to go through training until he developed the ability to turn into something called a Hybrid Stage One form. At this point, he would also get something called a Seishin Buki. He would then, of course, have to train until he was confident using these.

Yamireki's training was very hard. For him, it was mostly stuff like strenuous physical activity or practice sword-fighting. The practice fights were done with wooden swords, but, even so, Yamireki got badly bruised in each one. He had to practice against his father, an Iramasha of 3,200 years who was a very skilled swordsmen. He had, after all, had nearly three and a quarter millennia to practice. Yamireki had been practicing only a few weeks. HIs workouts were tough, even from day one. They involved things like 10-mile runs before breakfast, numbers of push-ups and sit-ups in the hundreds, and lifting 50-pound weights. Even for Yamireki, who was quite adaptable, this type of training took quite a while to get used to.

Yamireki's training refocused from physical conditioning to more spiritual things when he turned 100. The physical workouts and practice sword-fights were still there, but they decreased in intensity. Most of the day was spent working on Yamireki on things called Chaos Moves. These, Yamireki was told, were comparable to techniques used by Arrancar and Hollows called Cero and Bala, as well as a school of techniques used by Shinigami known as Kidō. Yamireki knew what this meant, since he'd been taught of the different races of the spiritual world ever since he could talk. Anyhow, Yamireki just didn't seem to get Chaos Moves. As hard as he tried, Yamireki just couldn't pull off even a basic one his father taught him.

It took Yamireki quite a while to figure out Chaos Moves. He finally succeeded in using a basic on a few days after his 115th birthday. Luckily, Yamireki caught on to Choas Moves quickly after that. By the time he was 120 years old, Yamireki was customizing his own Chaos Moves. Yamireki was quickly getting himself on track to become a good Iramasha fighter.

In fact, at age 125, a great success came to Yamireki. He finally gained the ability to use his Hybrid Stage One form. As he took the form for the first time, a ball of light appeared before him. Yamireki turned back to his regular form, and the ball remained. He reached out to grab it, and the ball transformed to a sheathed sword with a curved blade. Thinking back to what his parents had said, Yamireki realized this must be his Seishin Buki.

Yamireki now actually had the longest part of his training in front of him. Yes, he had obtained his Stage One released form and a Seishin Buki. However, he had no clue how to use them or what sorts of techniques these things made available to him. Once he knew what these could do, Yamireki knew, he would still have to train even more to entirely master them. Yamireki, of course, got to training right away. He devoted as much time as he could to training. Yamireki knew that improving his battle skills was especially important since the Shinigami issue was getting pretty bad and some of the Iramasha wanted to intervene. Yamireki wanted to be an able fighter who would return to Iramasha Island alive if and when this happened.

From 2,525 years ago to 2,400 years ago, or from age 125 to 250, Yamireki trained in all aspects of Iramasha fighting skills. Besides practicing with his Stage One form and Seishin Buki, Yamireki also practiced Chaos Moves. The creative Hybrid Iramasha created quite a few of his own Chaos Moves during this time. Even better, another breakthrough came to Yamireki 2,405 years ago. At age 245, Yamireki, already proficient in his current fighting skills, discovered that he was able to create something for himself called a Custom Form. With a little help from his parents, Yamireki figured it out after just one year of training. His Custom Form, Yamireki quickly figured out, was based off light just as his other forms were based on darkness. However, Yamireki's training with his custom form was soon interrupted.

2,400 years ago, when Yamireki was 250 years old, the Iramasha decided to intervene in Soul Society. They'd had enough of the clans fighting each other, and they came to help the Shinigami interested in order. Yamireki was one of those brought along to Soul Society. Almost immediately, the building of the Seiretei and the organization of the Gotei 13 began. Yamireki was surprised at how peacefully everything was going. He'd been thinking there was going to be a huge battle or something. But there was none of that. Just peaceful cooperation and building. But it wasn't going to last...

Not all the Shinigami of Soul Society wanted change. Some wanted the old way of life, and they were willing to kill and die for it. So it came to pass that one day, 2,400 years ago, rebellious Shinigami attacked the allied Shinigami and Iramasha who were building the Seiretei. Yamireki was about to get his first taste of serious battle!

The first Yamireki saw of it was a line of enemy Shinigami rushing toward the Seiretei. As the enemy drew closer, Yamireki saw the banners of various Shinigami clans flying in the wind. Quickly, Yamireki fell into his place in the Shinigami and Iramasha joint force to await the attack. Yamireki only drew out his Seishin Buki at the last moment, surprising an enemy Shinigami who was then cut down with one quick backhand slash with the curved blade. Shortly after that, Yamireki found himself in the midst of battle.

Yamireki didn't remember much about that day except for the adrenaline rushing through his body, the loud noise of battle, and the blood and dead bodies on the ground. He could have killed one Shinigami or he could have killed a thousand that day. In fact, the number was somewhere close to twenty, but Yamireki just couldn't remember much about the fight. All he knew was that, very soon, or so it seemed to Yamireki, the battle was over. The remains of the rebellious Shinigami were fleeing across the field back to their fort, camp, or wherever they were staying. Even better, Yamireki had gotten though his first battle unscathed!

Arc 3: Practical Experience (The War for Seiretei)

For the next two weeks or so, the building of Seiretei went normally. The outer wall and the outer sections of Seiretei had been built. Now, work was being done on the interior of the great fortress of the Gotei 13. The work was mostly being done by Shinigami and overseen by Iramasha such as Yamireki. The exception to this was Genryusai Yamamoto, the one chosen by the Shinigami as leader. He mostly did leadership stuff and planned for the event of future attacks by the rebels. On occasion, however, he would help with the building of Seiretei as well. He was, of course, also a great fighter, a skill that was about to be needed greatly.

About two weeks after the first attack, there came a second. During the first attack, the forces had been small since the enemy was mostly depending on the element of surprise. During this one, however, the force was much larger. Making matters worse, the second-in-command of the entire rebellion was leading this force. This Shinigami was actually a traitor to his own family. His name was Ryuuga Kuchiki. He was from a powerful noble clan, one of four recognized for their exceptional Reiatsu, called the Kuchiki Clan. Most of this clan's members were aligned with the Gotei 13. This Kuchiki, however, was not, and his strength earned him a high-up place in the rebellion.

When this force arrived, Yamireki was worried. From the start, he felt just how powerful the Kuchiki traitor's Reiatsu was. It blocked him from sensing literally everyone else in the rebel army, a good 10,500 Shinigami of varying levels of strength. The full might of the Gotei, about 200,000 Shinigami, all readied themselves for battle. Here, however, numbers meant almost nothing. For example, people like Ryuuga Kuchiki of the enemy and Genryusai Yamamoto of the Gotei 13 were worth 10,000 Shinigami each. Even an average Iramasha was worth two to five Shinigami apiece. However, all things considered, these two forces were just about evenly matched. Yamireki braced himself for the incoming tsunami wave of enemy troops ready to flood through the sea-wall that was the Seiretei...

The first battle was nothing like the last one. Yamireki, very adaptable by nature, was no longer daunted by the bate. Adrenaline still pumped through his veins, but not as much as during the first battle. After this battle, Yamireki would remember everything that happened. At first, it was the same monotonous blur as before. Yamireki rushed forward and cut his way through weak Shinigami. However, as Yamireki and his fellow Iramasha and the ally Shinigami of the Gotei, made identifiable by their black Shihakusho uniforms, pierced through the rebel ranks, their enemies got tougher and tougher. Nonetheless, Yamireki and about 200 other combatants on his side, Iramasha and Shinigami both, found themselves in a slight lull in the action and got a chance to see how the battle was going. This was made even easier by the fact that they were atop a little hip and had a view of the whole battlefield.

Commander Yamamoto's strategy was a success in that no enemies had gotten into the Seiretei as of now, about 4 hours into the battle. Even better, they were still held at bay a good 3 miles from the Seiretei's outer gates. However, the best stuff to watch was off to the side. Away from the rest of the battle, Commander Genryusai Yamamoto and Ryuuga Kuchiki had been going at it for the better part of the last four hours. Both Shinigami looked pretty wounded, but Ryuuga was definitely getting the worst of it. From what Yamireki knew about Shinigami and from the Reiatsu he sensed even from at least 1,500 meters off, Yamireki deduced that both were in Bankai. Turning to a Shinigami near him, he asked "Is our Commander in Bankai against that guy?". Yamireki was shocked by the answer he got. "The Kuchiki is in Bankai, yes. But our Commander is only in Shikai." was what the Shinigami said. "Holy crap... So then--" began Yamireki. "Such is our Commander's power." was what the Shinigami said.

There was no time to say more, however. One of the Iramasha in Yamireki's group had just yelled that a platoon of about 50 rebel Shinigami was currently charging up the hill. Quickly, Yamireki and his group rushed to the flat ground below the hill. A hilltop was a horrible place to be caught by an enemy in battle. Below the hill, Yamireki and the other men drew their respective weapons and waited. About a minute later, the enemy came charging down the hill. Yamireki and the others in the forward ranks each picked an opponent. Yamireki's opponent was an average-height Shinigami with short, black hair, brown eyes, and light skin. He worse a green kimono with some intricate clan symbol on the front, and he was gripping a katana, very likely a sealed Zanpaku-to.

Yamireki swept up with his Seishin Buki, parrying the Shinigami's first attack. Then, the two beings began trading blows. Yamireki could tell even now that he and his opponent were both nearly equal in strength. His opponent was even maybe slightly stronger. Soon, the Shinigami lifted his katana and yelled something in Japanese. The sword began to change, and Yamireki realized hie was witnessing a Shikai release. The blade of the sword turned into a jagged blade in the shape of a lightning bolt. The Shinigami then lashed out, sending a burst of lightning slamming into Yamireki's chest. He was burnt, and stunned for a few moments. Yamireki got on his feet just in time to parry a sword-strike intended for his head.

Yamireki thought of using his Seishin Buki's techniques, but he had a better idea. A burst of golden Reiatsu flared up around Yamireki as he took his Stage One Hybrid form in battle for the first time. Now he could truly fight his opponent on even ground. Yamireki lifted up his transformed Seishin Buki and charged forward. Now he was the one pushing the Shinigami back. In the shadow of the nearby hill, Yamireki began charging up for a technique as he fended off persistent attacks from the enemy Shinigami. After sustaining a serious cut to his left side area that exposed his ribs, Yamireki was ready. Lifting his Seishin Buki, he yelled "Yami no Kire!!" and fired off a curved blade of shadow at his opponent. The unfotunate Shinigami was nearly cut in half diagonally. Yamireki had won. He smiled as he changed back tio his normal form once again.

By now, the entire battle was over. Seeing his forces retreating, Ryuuga Kuchiki had distracted Commander Yamamoto for a few seconds with Hadō 88, known as Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raihou. This had created a great bolt of blue eery, which the Commander had been obliged to block. Ryuuga had then fled, along with the remains of his army. In this way, the Gotei 13 and Iramasha joint force had won the battle. Soon, Yamireki was in the Seiretei having his wounds healed by a healing Kidō specialist. However, the fight against the rebels was not quite over...

Over the next year or so, battle with the rebels continued on and off. Many Shinigami and even a few Iramasha died. However, the advantage in the war definitely belonged to the Gotei 13. Soon, the rebels were cornered, setting the stage for a final battle. It was the most bloody thing the young Yamireki had ever seen. He killed numberless foes that day, and hundreds of thousands of times that number fell all around him. The field was a literal swamp of red, the blood and mud sludge knee-deep in some parts. Yamireki was cut up all over, his own blood adding to the growing red bog. And still the battle continued. Both sides fought fiercely, neither faction willing to give up. Yamireki thought for a while that the battle wouldn't end, and that he would die of a combination of exhaustion and blood loss.

Finally, however, the end came. After a long, hard battle in which he was nearly killed. Genryusai Yamamoto killed the leader of the rebellion. The leaderless rebels surrendered without much trouble after this happened. They even agreed to take up positions in the Gotei 13. Yamireki and the other Iramasha were very glad that this fight was over. Yamireki and many younger Iramasha were currently at the point of collapse. About 100 of their number had been killed. But now peace had returned. All was well.

Yamireki helped in the completion of Seiretei's building. With the added help of the about 75,000 Shinigami who had once been rebels, this process sped up greatly. Eight months later, Seiretei was complete. As the Gotei 13 was up and running, and order had been established in Soul Society, Yamireki and the other Iramasha returned to their home dimension, the Iramasha Island. Here Yamireki would stay for the better part of his life except for when he went out on missions, mostly to fight against Demons escaped from Hell. This dimension was also where Yamireki would, over the course of nearly two millennia, perfect and maximize his powers. So began a new section of the Hybrid's life.

Arc 4: The Long Haul

Yamireki Iramasha had gone through quite the experience. Only a little over 250 years old, young by Iramasha standards, Yamireki was a battle-scarred war veteran. He had participated in an event that had positively changed the history of the spiritual world forever. When he returned to Iramasha Island just under 2,400 years ago, Yamireki had something about him that added a good 200 years to his life, figuratively, of course. He was much more mature and just... different. Even so, Yamireki wasn't exceedingly strong yet. He was still young and had quite a bit of training to do. This was what he spent most of his days doing after the war.

Yamireki trained hard every day. Some of it was the physical conditioning that he'd done from the time he could walk, but most of it was spiritual. He'd seen the full potential of the Iramasha during the war. Powerful Iramasha, officers and generals of 2,000 to 4,500 years of age, had used a Stage Two form. This was many times more powerful than Yamireki's current available releases. As such, Yamireki began training for his Stage Two Hybrid Form, though he was well aware it could easily be another 1,800 to 2,000 years before he gained this new level of power. In the meantime, Yamireki decided, he would work on perfecting his Chaos Moves and maybe even creating some new ones.

The next 1,900 years were like a monotonous blur to Yamireki. Every day went the same for him. Yamireki woke up early in the morning, trained long through the day, and went to sleep late. Then, the next day, Yamireki would wake up again and the cycle would start all over. Sometimes, maybe once every 20 years or so, something interesting would happen. Maybe Yamireki would become slightly more powerful. Maybe he'd get really lucky and perfect a new Chaos Move. Overall, however, the better part of Yamireki's life was filled with boredom.

Sometimes, there would be a break from the monotony of the endless days of training in another form. Higher-ranking powerful Iramasha might decide to send Yamireki out on an assignment. Usually, these assignments involved fighting against Demons that had escaped from Hell. These came a bit often for Yamireki's taste. Sometimes, they would be not even 24 hours apart. These annoyed Yamireki because they got in the way of his training, and because they involved battle. Battle, of course, was one of the things that triggered the negative side of Yamireki's personality, a state that he hated being in. Overall, though, the next 1,900 years went by alright for Yamireki.

Finally, 1,902 years later, Yamireki was able to discover his Stage Two Hybrid Form. It happened in a slightly different manner than the Iramasha expected, however. Yamireki thought that it would happen as a product of hard work and training at home on Iramasha Island. Instead, it came when Yamireki was on an assignment and ended up fighting against an Adjuchas-class Hollow. Little did Yamireki know, that Adjuchas was only a meal or two away from its final evolution into a Vasto Lorde-class Hollow... In any case, Yamireki was nearly killed. This seemed to trigger something inside of him, and this resulted in the discovery of Yamireki's Stage Two Hybrid Form. This, of course, made defeating the Adjuchas a cake-walk. Here is how it happened:

Yamireki was sent with other Iramasha to the World of the Living just under five centuries ago, in the human year 1915. In that year, it was the middle of World War I. The Shinigami were overwhelmed by the amount of new souls and Hollows being formed after each battle. Because of this, the Iramasha started going along with Shinigami in small groups to help provide security to Shinigami while they performed Konso on the dead after each battle. Yamireki was in one of these groups. Thus he was sent to Europe in the World of the Living in 1915 to be part of a security group. He would be fighting off the Hollows that came after a battle, attracted by the new souls, as well as the ones that formed from dead soldiers after battles.

Yamireki's first few times doing this job went well. Few Hollows showed up, and they were all weak. However, nothing lasts forever, and this easy job certainly didn't. One day, after an especially bloody battle, the field was being overrun by Hollows. There were so many that actual battle was joined. Even the few 4th Division Shinigami present fought. Yamireki, used to battle by now, was not phased by the in-rush of Hollows. He cut down hundreds of the weaker ones with his Seishin Buki. However, Yamireki could sense a much stronger Reiatsu present that definitely belonged to a Hollow. Thinking back to his training, Yamireki realized that the being in question was most likely an Adjuchas. This was the true enemy, and Yamireki fought his way toward it.

It wasn't long until Yamireki found the Adjuchas. "What are you, strange being?" asked the Hollow, its voice distorted a little by the white mask covering its face. "I am Yamireki Iramasha, and I'm here to kill you!" said Yamireki, currently in his battle-induced personality state. With that, Yamireki rushed the Adjuchas with his Seishin Buki drawn. The Adjuchas, who had a short sword along with three tail-like appendages tipped with jagged white blades, had no trouble parrying Yamireki's sword-strikes and wounding Yamireki a few times. It soon became obvious to Yamireki that he wasn't going to get very far without changing forms.

Yamireki changed into his Custom Form. It was, after all, daytime. There was plenty of natural light to be used. In this form, Yamireki fought on par with his foe. He even managed to strike a few blows himself. However, he wasn't anticipating the Hollow's survival and self-preservation instincts, honed by hundreds of years in Hueco Mundo. Yamireki soon found himself at a disadvantage again. In addition, he was beginning to get fatigued from fighting and blood loss. Yamireki soon found himself pinned to the crushed and charred remains of a tank that had been struck by several mortar rounds. The Adjuchas stepped up and stretched out a clawed hand, saying "It seems that it is you who shall be killed!". At the same time, a ball of green light began to grow larger in its hands.

Just as Yamireki was about to resign himself to death, a blast of golden Reiatsu flared up around him. He felt power surging through his body, banishing the fatigue and pain. Yamireki knew what was happening. "Hybrid Stage Two Form!!" he yelled. In his new form, Yamireki could completely outdo the Adjuchas. He burst free of the totaled tank and rushed the Hollow saying an incantation as he did so. "Bondage in its purest form descends from Heaven as Heaven selects its captive! Tentai Han'ei!!" he yelled. Golden chains wrapped around the Adjuchas, immobilizing the Hollow seconds before Yamireki's sword cut through its mask.

Soon after this, Yamireki was able to return to Iramasha Island. With his new level of power, he was far more respected. Yamireki didn't spend much time on training anymore. He still trained, just not as much. After all, Yamireki knew, there wasn't anything major to gain anymore. However, Yamireki still trained, as mentioned before, because he knew that gaining power was still possible.

Yamireki Iramasha trained over the past 400 years as well. Iramasha intervention was suggested by some leading figures in the clan at the height of the Aizen crisis, but it never happened. Yamireki trained as much as he could during this particular time, however, in order to make sure he could use his Forms correctly in the case of battle.

Now, in human year 2413, Yamireki lives on Iramasha Island. He does everything he can to be helpful and useful to his Clan. Yamireki still trains a certain amount each day, in order to stay both powerful and in shape. He is happy at being in relative peace, but is also prepared for the outbreak of war if it should happen...

• Seishin Buki Name: Yamireki's Seishin Buki is named Kirikaze. This roughly translates to English as "Cutting Wind"

• Seishin Buki Appearance: As far as the Seishin Buki goes, Yamireki's is rather normal. It takes the form of a weapon, a sword, to be exact. The sword has a two-handed hilt, meaning that it can be gripped by the user with both hands. The hilt is katana-style. This means that it is metal, in this case, plain steel, wrapped in cloth leaving diamond-shaped gaps along the sides at intervals through which the metal can be seen. The pommel is a silver cap at the top of the sword with a sort of swirly pattern meant to resemble air currents engraved at the top.

There is no real cross-guard, but there is something to protect one's hands. At the place where the blade meets the hilt, the blade is covered by a red triangular piece of smooth bamboo wood that extends about 3 inches down the length of the blade. At its widest point, it covers the whole blade with room to spare. The wood piece is 6 and a quarter inches in width at this point. As it is a triangle, it gets narrower until it tapers off three inches from the hilt.

The blade itself is made of regular steel. At first sight, it is unremarkable. It just looks like a 4-foot-long curved blade. Looking closer, however, one will see the interesting structure of the well-made Seishin Buki. The blade is made up of exactly 17 overlapping triangular, scale-like metal pieces. On the sides, they are razor-sharp, and they form the sword's cutting edge. On the part that forms the 'flat' of the blade, they are blunt. The pieces vary in size depending on what part of the blade they are found. The ones near the tip are especially small.

Image: (Pretty much accurate, except for hilt and cross-guard, as well as the segmented blade parts. Just gives a general idea of how the weapon looks.)
Spoiler:

• Seishin Buki Abilities: Kirikaze is a purely offensive weapon. Its form as a sword alone should be enough to give that fact away. Kirikaze is what Yamireki primarily uses in combat since he only uses his form changes in battle if he has no other choice. There are three main uses for Kirikaze: the obvious melee capabilities of the sword, use of the segments of the blade, or a third use which is much more advanced. The third use has two of what could be called 'sub-uses'.

The melee use of the sword is rather self-explanatory. Yamireki uses Kirikaze as his weapon of choice in a battle where he needs to fight with a sword. A curved blade six inches wide with two sharp edges can do quite a bit of damage if it's used, say, to run someone through. Kirikaze is a very good melee weapon.

Another use of Kirikaze involves the 17 triangular segments that make up the blade. In this use, which Yamireki has named "Kaze no Sabaku", or 'Judgement of the Wind', the segments of the blade are detached from each other. The entire segment is sharpened, and each one can now be fired at the enemy as a sort of throwing blade. They can be fired simultaneously, in groups of whatever number Yamireki chooses, or one by one. Unused blades float in a triangular formation in front of Yamireki, and they move with him. The unused blades form a sort of shield, which slowly goes away when Yamireki uses them. If a blade sticks in the opponent, it will remain there, taking one away from Yamireki's little shield formation. If one misses, it will return to the formation in front of Yamireki. When Yamireki's done with this use for Kirikaze, the blades will return to being part of the sword.

The third use of the blades is far more dangerous, both to Yamireki and his opponent. Yamireki has named this use "Kaze no Kanzen Hakai". This means 'Total Destruction by the Wind', and it is aptly named. In the first use, named "Ichigeki", or 'Single Hit', all the triangular segments detach from each other. Then, Yamireki can cause one to dissolve into thousands of very small fragments of steel. These are all razor-sharp. They can be used against an opponent, who will be able to see them as small, glittering fragments. However, they are also so light that wind blowing the wrong direction can blow them back at Yamireki. After use, the fragments form back into the segment of blade that they were part of.

The second sub-use, named "Kamirashii Sabaku", or 'God-like Judgement' by Yamireki, is by far the most dangerous. It involves dissolving the entire blade of Yamireki's Seishin Buki into a cloud of very small fragments. There are about 250 billion of these when the technique is used, but this number can vary by 15 million or so since the fragmenting of the blade is entirely random. A hit by this can easily rip a person apart. Unfortunately for Yamireki, he is subject to the same risks as the other sub-use, including the wind direction and speed. A single miscalculation can mean death for Yamireki. The blade of Kirikaze re-forms once this has been used. This can only be used in situations that are very dire, such as if Yamireki would die without using it. in a thread due to its level of risk and strain on Yamireki's Reiatsu.

Yamireki Iramasha [APPROVED 1-5] Image4494-1
________________________________________________

• Powers: Yamireki is a Darkness-element Iramasha. This means that he has the power to manipulate darkness in whatever form it may be found. Needless to say, such a thing makes Yamireki strongest at night, when darkness is all around. During the day, he is limited to only the use of shadows to perform his techniques. The only time Yamireki really has trouble is on cloudy days. The shadows are too faint for him to use, and the light of the day eliminates any usable darkness. During the night, Yamireki needs no charge for his abilities, which needs two posts of charge time during the day.

There are countless possible uses to Yamireki's darkness manipulation ability. However, before he changes into his First or Second Stage Hybrid Form, Yamireki is limited to only a few basic uses to his ability. He gets four uses in this form: two offensive and two defensive.

The first of these is known by Yamireki as Yami no Kire, or 'Cut of Darkness' in English. It's name is rather self-explanatory. It allows Yamireki to use a 'piece', so to speak, of darkness as a blade to cause damage to an opponent in the form of cutting trauma. During the day, when only shadows are available, this takes the form of a single curved blade of darkness similar in shape to Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou when he uses it in Shikai. During the night, this technique is an entirely different animal. Yamireki takes advantage of the fact that darkness is all around. He selects a spherical area around the opponent, then turns it into a literal cloud of blades of Reiatsu-infused darkness. These close in on the enemy and strike them. However, during the night, the blades are a lot slower and thus easier to block.

Yamireki's other offensive darkness-based technique is known as Kuroi Shini, or 'Black Death' in English. The attack works the same both in the night and during the day. During the day, however, the attack is significantly weaker due to the presence of the sun's light. When using it, Yamireki gathers darkness either from a nearby shadow, or, if at night, from the air around him. He forms said darkness into a sphere about the size of a basketball around his hand. This act appears similar to the charging of a Cero. The darkness is then released in the form of a swarm of needles, each one inch in length and about two millimeters in diameter. There are so many needles that a successful hit can cause damage similar to that of a shotgun blast. This can't be used at long range since the darkness will either re-assimilate back into the night or be destroyed by the sunlight at a range of more than 50 meters.

Yamireki's first defensive technique is known as Yami no Bougyo, or 'The Darkness's Defense' in English. This technique works differently depending on whether it is night or day. This is a lot more useful during the night. At night, Yamireki forms a sphere with a radius of 3 meters around him. This sphere is made of Reiatsu-infused darkness and can repulse attacks for a certain length of time depending on how long it has already been up for and the strength of the attacker. If not struck by an attack, the sphere will entirely decay naturally after four posts. During the day, the shield's decay and all works the same way, but happens in two posts. The shield is much less resistant by day. Also, the protective barrier takes the form of a rectangular shield instead of a sphere.

Yamireki's other defensive ability is something he came up with as a last-resort reserve for having a way to at least defend himself, if not attack, on cloudy days. He calls this ability Takai Taiyo, or 'Fighting the Sun' in English. Yamireki reaches out to any place that there might be even the tiniest bit of darkness to use: the cracks in the sidewalk, the sewer, under cars, even the inside of people's mouths. Yamireki turns this darkness into a circular round-shield which can block a single attack. However, its use involves some guess-work and thinking ahead since it needs a period of three posts to charge. In an emergency, it can be used after two posts, but some of the opponent's attack will break through.

• Chaos Moves: 1) Name: Tentai Han'ei
Effect: Tentai Han'ei is a battle-use binding Chaos Move. It's comparable to a Shinigami's Bakudo, the school of Kidō used for binding and defense. Tentai Han'ei has an incantation. This is optional, but the spell is far more effective with the incantation than without. The incantation is "Bondage in its purest form descends from Heaven as Heaven selects its captive. Tentai Han'ei!".

If this is used, the move takes effect at the beginning of the next post by me in Yamireki's PoV. Alternatively, the user could just call out the move's name. Then, the move would resolve within the post. If an incantation is used, the move takes the for of golden chains falling from the sky and binding the opponent. If not, it simply takes the form of pegs of golden light to bind the opponent to the ground or a nearby wall. This needs a 2 post cooldown regardless of whether or not the incantation was used.

Available To: Anyone with necessary skills can learn.
Level: ? (Will fill in when I get skill levels)

2) Name: Tentai Bougyo
Effect: Tentai Bougyo is a defensive Chaos Move, also comparable to a Shinigami's Bakudo. It is meant to be a quick-use shield to stop an attack as it is being utilized by the opponent. As such, it has no incantation. One simply calls out the move's name. This creates a square shield of golden light in front of the user. However, it is not very durable and can only stop the most basic attacks such as sword strikes and low-level Hadō, a weak Bala, or Shikai techniques, for example, before shattering. It's pretty much a last-ditch defensive Chaos Move. It is usable inside one post and needs 2 posts of cool down.
Available To: Anyone with necessary skills can learn.
Level: ?

3) Name: Ten no Fukushu
Effect: Ten no Fukushu is a quick-use Chaos Move. It is an offensive move. This move has no incantation because it is quick use. The user calls out the move's name to use it. Upon doing so, the user shoots a bolt of golden lightning-like energy from his or her palms. This bolt can cause piercing and burn damage to its target if it hits. It is rather difficult to aim, however. Ten no Fukushu is usable inside one post. However, to compensate for the amount of Reiatsu used in the use of this Chaos Move, a 3 post cooldown is required.
Available To: Anyone with necessary skills can learn
Level: ?

4) Name: Ten no Hono
Effect: Ten no Hono is an offensive Chaos Move. As its name would imply, it involves fire. This move is more focused on packing a punch than hitting quickly. As such, it needs an incantation. If used without an incantation, it will be much weaker and pretty much defeat the purpose of using this move to begin with. The incantation is "Heavens flames come down to wash the sinners pure once again, burning the horrific last image of life into their eyes and souls. Purge and repent in a blast of pure, searing white. Ten no Hono!!". At this, the user will then fire a blast of white-hot flame at their opponent. This causes damage, obviously, in the form of severe burns.
Available To: Anyone with necessary skills can learn.
Level: ?

5) Name: Kamikaze Kogeki
Effect: This technique is aptly named. Kamikaze Kogeki is about as devastating as a Kamikaze plane attack. At the same time, however, it is almost as risky. This Chaos Move is a powerful offensive move. It involves channeling and then releasing a very large amount of Reiatsu and energy. If the technique is disrupted before it is released, it will go off prematurely and severely injure or possibly even kill the user. The technique is initiated by a short incantation. It is as follows: "I throw my hopes and future to the wind even as I call upon Heaven to destroy my enemy. Kamikaze Kogeki!". This causes the energy to build up in a huge golden ball of light around the user. This is the most dangerous part, as it takes a whole post. After this, the ball detonates outward, scorching everything within 500 meters of the user, except for a 15-meter safe zone around the user, similar to the one in Byakuya Kuchiki's Bankai. This move is usable once per thread. The user cannot use any Chaos Moves after this for the remainder of the thread.
Available To: Anyone with the skills (and IC bravery) can learn.
Level: ?, but probably at least Advanced.

Yamireki Iramasha [APPROVED 1-5] Image4496-1
________________________________________________

•Angelic Release/Demonic Release/Hybrid Stage One Appearance: Yamireki's identity as a Hybrid Iramasha is made more obvious when he reaches this Stage One released form. Mostly, the divided color scheme of his body and clothing are what signify this.

Yamireki's hair grows a little longer, reaching about shoulder-length. Yamireki's hair color changes in this fem. It turns completely pure white on the left side and the darkest black imaginable on the right. His eyes change a little in terms of color scheme. Yamireki's left eye becomes completely black, but with a white iris and black pupil. His right eye becomes completely white, with a black iris and white pupil. Even Yamireki's face becomes divided, with the left side white and the right black.

Yamireki's body does not really change much in height. He gets maybe a quarter of an inch taller at the most. The height gain is negligible and hardly noticeable. Yamireki becomes slightly more muscular in this form. This is noticeable, and it enhances his sort of bodybuilder look. It also causes Yamireki to become about 10 pounds heavier. He gains a single pair of angel wings. One of these, on the left, is white. The one on the right is black. The wings have a span of 10 feet.

The only other change to Yamireki's appearance has to do with his clothing and Seishin Buki. Yamireki's clothing style becomes more Western in this state. The upper part of his body is covered by a long-sleeved shirt. This is divided into a white left side and a black right side. Yamireki also wears a pair of baggy basketball shorts in this form, which are divided the same way as his shirt. His feet are covered by Converse shoes, with a white one on his left foot and a black one on his right foot. Yamireki's Seishin Buki takes the form of a broadsword in this for,. It is black on one side, but if you flip it over, the other side is white. The sheath, made of plain leather-wrapped wood, is strapped to Yamireki's back.

• Angelic Release/Demonic Release/Hybrid Stage One Abilities: Yamireki's original powers increase in this newly released form. He can now use darkness in a much wider variety of ways. These are no longer evenly divided between offensive and defensive now. They become purely offensive. Yamireki can also use his Seishin Buki to help channel the attacks. He can even create a small amount of his own darkness in the use of his attacks. As such, each technique only needs a charge of 1 post unless otherwise specified.

In offensive attacks, Yamireki retains his attack known as Yami no Kire. However, he can now fire off this attack as many as four times at once without having to re-charge or stop. The attack also generates bigger, faster, and more powerful blades. It can be fired from the blade of Yamireki's Seishin Buki. However, these stronger strikes are also a greater strain on Yamireki's Reiatsu and so can be used a total of twice in a thread. Also, the use of the attacks causes small 'Reiatsu burns' on Yamireki's palms that make using further attacks uncomfortable.

Yamireki also keeps the attack known as Kuroi Shini. He can use it more efficiently and much more powerful than before. However, it takes a different form. Instead of little blades or needles, the attack takes the form of a large blast of Reiatsu-infused darkness that can cause burns to the opponent. The problem with this is that it significantly increases the severity of any existing Reiatsu burns on Yamireki's palms. It also greatly strains Yamireki's Reiatsu. Because of this, it is usable just once per thread. Also, it needs three posts of charge time during which Yamireki is essentially wide open, making it rather inconvenient.

Yamireki also gains an offensive ability in this new form. It is far more dangerous than his other attacking powers. This is known as Kage no Satsujin, or 'Murderer of Shadows' in English. It allows Yamireki to access the shadows cast by his opponents and 'turn them against' their owners, so to speak. The shadows do not become animated or anything like that, they are simply manipulated against their owners. The shadows dissolve into shards of various shapes and sizes which then shoot themselves at the owner of the shadow. This isn't really dangerous by itself, it's mostly the element of surprise that gets people on this one. Yamireki uses a great deal of Reiatsu to do this, so he can use it just once per thread, and besides that, he can only ever use it on the same person twice.

• Awakened Divinity State/Hell Evolution State/Hybrid Stage Two Appearance: In his Stage Two Hybrid Form, Yamireki keeps the same 'divided between light and darkness' sort of appearance. Overall, his body keeps the same color scheme as he had in Stage One. The only real change to Yamireki's body itself has to do with his hair and wings. His hair keeps the same color scheme as before, and it stretches down to his mid-back. This is significantly longer than in his previous form. Yamireki also gains a second pair of wings four inches below the first. These wings are smaller than his first wing set, with a span of 5 feet. They have the same color scheme as his Stage One wings.

Yamireki's clothing and Seishin Buki both change in his Stage Two form. His clothing changes to a Western medieval knight's style. Yamireki's body gets a covering of plate armor, complete with a helmet. The helmet has a vizor which can be raised to show his face, or lowered to cover and protect it. This is all divided between white and black colors, being black on the right and white on the left. Unlike the armor of a medieval knight, however, Yamireki's armor is light and flexible to allow a full range of motion. At the same time, it offers the same degree of protection that a medieval knight's would.

Yamireki's Seishin Buki changes, and when it does so, its style does not match the style of Yamireki's dress. The Seishin Buki becomes a koto-type sword, or basically a katana with a straight blade and a small or no tsuba. The hilt and pommel are both made of metal. The blade is also metal. One side of the weapon is black. When flipped over, it can be seen that the other side of the weapon is white. The weapon is kept in a sheath with the same color scheme. Yamireki doesn't keep the sheath anywhere since his fighting style in Stage Two uses the sword and the sheath.

Picture to Give Reader an Idea of What a Koto Looks Like:
Spoiler:

• Awakened Divinity State/Hell Evolution State/Hybrid Stage Two Abilities: Yamireki, of course keeps all of the same abilities as before. In this Stage Two form, the most powerful form available to him, these techniques simply become more powerful and more useful. However, they also drain his Reiatsu a lot more since a greater amount of power is used. Yamireki can create entirely his own darkness for use in techniques, meaning he only has to rely on natural shadows and darkness a little. Charge time for techniques in Stage Two is one post, but now, each technique can be used only once before a two-post cooldown is needed.

In addition, Yamireki gains some new abilities in this form. The first of these is defensive. It allows Yamireki to create a sort of shield of darkness to go with his armor. This shield takes the shape of a medieval knight's shield. It is entirely black. The shield is 18 inches in width at its widest and 30 inches long. It can protect all of Yamireki's chest and stomach area if need be. The shield can remain for 4 posts if it is not hit. A powerful hit can destroy it right away, while it can repair itself if it is damagd by a weaker attack. However, the shield drains more of Yamireki's Reiatsu each time it repairs itself. In other words, its duration decreases by 1 post every time it is hit and repairs itself. Also, it requires 2 posts to prepare, so it is not convenient for use to deflect an attack that is an immediate danger. The shield can be used as many times as Yamireki desires, but it needs a 3 post cool down, and, once every two uses, its duration decreases by one post. For example, it starts out at 4 posts, but, two uses later, goes down to 3.

Yamireki's other gained ability is a sort of offensive one. It doesn't harm the opponent so much as make battle very difficult for them. One big drawback to this attack, however, is that it is only usable during the night. As such, it is very situational and inconvenient if Yamireki has to fight during the day. Yamireki uses this ability to increase the natural darkness in front of his opponent's eyes to the point that no light can reach the opponent. In other words, Yamireki temporarily blinds the opponent without causing any harm to their eyes. This lasts for a number of posts from 5 to 0 depending on the opponent's strength. A very powerful opponent, say two or more tiers higher than Yamireki, can dispel the blindness immediately. Because of the complicated nature of this ability, it strains Yamireki to the point that he can only use this once in a thread. He also can't use any of his techniques for 3 posts following the use of this technique.

• Custom Form Appearance: Soon after unlocking his Stage One Hybrid Form, Yamireki found that he was able to create a custom form for himself. Not being one to pass up on gaining a new power, Yamireki did so. Out of fear that the dark and 'evil' side of his personality would one day take over, Yamireki created a form in which he would look like a purely good being, and gained an ability that suggested the same thing. Yamireki named this custom form "Atarashi no Jotai", literally "New Form".

In his custom form, Yamireki loses all parts of his body and clothing coloration that ever suggested he had a darkness side to him. In other words, not a single speck of black can be found anywhere on Yamireki when he takes his custom form. Not even his Seishin Buki looks like it did before. But what exactly does this mean?

To start, there is Yamireki's overall appearance. Yamireki's eyes and hair don't even retain their previous appearance. Indeed, not even his skin remains the same. Yamireki's skin gets a few shades lighter in his Custom Form until it is almost pale. His hair color stays the same, but it grows a bit longer, just over shoulder length. Yamireki's eyes change from their earlier black to a more normal light blue color. He also grows a bit taller and more muscular. Yamireki becomes about 6' 3" and 220 pounds in this form.

Yamireki's clothing and Seishin Buki change as well in this form. His body is clothed in a sort of maroon long-sleeve shirt that fits very tightly. His chest is wrapped in a series of leather belts for protection. Yamireki's lower body is covered by a white tunic with some sort of blue design in its fabric. This is held in place with a blue obi-like sash. The rest of Yamireki's upper body is covered with a single plate of white armor. More of the same armor covers his shoulders and back. He also has metal gauntlets covering both arms. Yamireki's Seishin Buki takes the form of three retractable blades, each about four inches in length and one in width at the widest point, protruding from the ends of his gauntlets.

Spoiler:

• Custom Form Abilities: In his custom form, Yamireki gains quite the range of new abilities for something as simple as a new release. However, he loses something as well. Yamireki gains basic light manipulation abilities in this custom form, in exchange for the fact that he cannot use any of his darkness-based power in this form. Yamireki's light manipulation is so basic that he can't even create his own light to help power his techniques. Because of this, Yamireki can only use his custom form effectively during the daytime or on a night with sufficient moonlight. During the day, he needs one post of charge, and he needs three posts of charge time at night.

Yamireki's ability for the use of his light-based powers are very basic. He can pretty much only use the light in one way, since he's only mastered the custom form recently and barely knows how to use it, not to mention the fact that he doesn't use it very often. Yamireki is able to gather light into a sort of blade which can be fired at the opponent. He can do this with his hand, or it can be fired from his Seishin Buki in the form of a 'claw' of light. Either way, the attack causes cutting or piercing damage to the opponent.

• Class Title: From a young age, Yamireki was almost always dealong with war. This mostly came from the time period in which he was born. 2,650 years ago, the formation of the Gotei 13 was right around the corner. When it finally happened 2,400 years ago, Yamireki was 250 years old and so helped the Shinigami along with other Iramasha to build Seiretei and establish order. Part of this involved fighting various rebellions against the new Gotei. As such, Yamireki Iramasha has become known as the Hybrid of War.

• Class Traits: As the Hybrid of War, Yamireki's Class Traits all have to do with fighting. To start off with, he is just, in general, very good with a sword. When you're practically born fighting as Yamireki was, you tend to be good with weapons. This is part of the reason why his Seishin Buki takes the form of a sword and is used primarily for melee combat. However, other than making him exceptionally good with the use of a sword, Yamireki's status as the Hybrid of War really doesn't do that much for him.

Comments/Notes:
Just a reminder your appearance picture doesn't work.

Then, Yamireki can cause one to dissolve into thousands of microscopic fragments of steel. These are all razor-sharp. They can be used against an opponent, who will be entirely unable to see them. However, they are also so light that wind blowing the wrong direction can blow them back at Yamireki. Also, Yamireki can't see the fragments either, so aiming involves a lot of guess work. After use, the fragments form back into the segment of blade that they were part of.

The second sub-use, named "Kamirashii Sabaku", or 'God-like Judgement' by Yamireki, is by far the most dangerous. It involves dissolving the entire blade of Yamireki's Seishin Buki into a cloud of microscopic fragments. Also, aiming is rather hard, since, once again, the fragments are microscopic. The blade of Kirikaze re-forms once this has been used. This can only be used once in a thread due to its level of risk and strain on Yamireki's Reiatsu.

  • Alright, the first bolded selection is kind of iffy for me... Depends on how many thousands, tbh. If it was like 5 thousand they might be difficult to see, but the fact still remains that they are a metallic substance and in a clear environment they will be visible due to that fact. Not to mention the whole you can't see them and neither can I thing isn't exactly great in my opinion. There will never be a time where you would let yourself get hit by your own weapon or skill... I could be wrong, but sadly I don't see it happening.
  • Next. Alright this is definitely going to be visible. Do you know what PPM is? Parts per million? Google it. How wide spread is this ability? Because if it doesn't span out to like... a 5000 meter diameter, which I'm not going to allow, these are going to be visible. It's metallic. Again, the whole putting himself in danger like... life or death danger doesn't seem like something that would happen.
  • Next. That's definitely a no. It's to be used only dire situations, he can't just have the choice to use it once per thread. 36 posts=not enough trust for me whether you were here for a while on the xat or not. Even then, though, I'm still putting a lot of trust in you saying that it can only be used in dire situations, so don't get the wrong idea.

Yamireki's first defensive technique is known as Yami no Bougyo, or 'The Darkness's Defense' in English. This technique works differently depending on whether it is night or day. This is a lot more useful during the night. At night, Yamireki forms a sphere with a radius of 15 meters around him.

Let's knock that down to one foot over his own height... Nah, I'll give you a 3 meter radius on it. 15 meters is just wayyy to much.

It is usable inside one post and needs 1 post of cool down.

Two post cooldown, you can't use this every other attack. Though I'm sure you won't, I don't want it to be possible.

Fix that stuff up and I'll give you your tier and skills

Tier: ?-?

Thank you very much for taking the time to check my app. I greatly appreciate it.

I believe I have addressed all of your concerns as to my attacks being somewhat OP or not reasonable.
